Food and restaurants in Portland

Top restaurants

Seafood Restaurant
“You've probably already heard of Eventide because it's the most highly rated place in Portland, in this case believe the hype. There will most likely be a long wait, so prepare for that before you go, it's worth it. If you're visiting in the off season and visit at unusual hours you may get lucky enough to be seated immediately (it's happened to us a couple of times). You must try the brown butter lobster roll, you won't regret it. They also have a killer late night happy hour if you need a bite after drinking in the Old Port.”

Breakfast Spot
“I adore this place. Great bagels, great breakfast sandwiches, they have creative rotating homefry specials. There is a cool outdoor seating area in back that is casual and very sweet on sunny summer days. The Salmon bagel is awesome (loaded with smoked salmon, capers, cukes). A good jumping off place to explore Willard Beach area, en route to Portland Headlight, etc. ”

Bakery
“NOTE! The location on this recommendation is not correct. Rosemont opened their Falmouth location in February, 2019 at 231 US Route 1. If you turn left out of our driveway and walk/drive up to the traffic light at Route 1. Rosemont Market is on the left side. Fabulous breads, bakery treats, takeout food, great wine selection. Rosemont Markets are a local favorite, and we LOVE having them here in Falmouth now!”
