Vacation Rentals in Port Kent

Just booked in Port Kent

Sunny apartment overlooking Battery Park on Lake Champlain. Ideally situated just a few blocks from downtown, Church St and the major hotels where you can find some of the best dining in Burlington. An hour's drive to major ski resorts.
This is a cozy apartment (approximately 750 sq ft) with views of Lake Champlain from the front two bedrooms in the winter months (unfortunately the view is blocked in the summer by the leaves on the trees in Battery Park). It's conveniently located adjacent to Battery Park and the Lake and just blocks from downtown and Church Street. The entire apartment was recently renovated with new appliances, a tiled bath, and solid oak hardwood floors throughout. East/West exposures offer both morning and afternoon light and a good cross breeze in the summer. The apartment is fully furnished with linens and a fully equipped kitchen.
The apartment is situated just blocks from downtown Burlington where you can experience some of the best dining in Vermont. The summer months are full of activity in both Battery Park just across the street from the apartment and in Waterfront Park just a short walk down the hill. A full schedule can be found at Burlington Parks Recreation & Waterfront's website. Battery Park is a great place to view sunsets and the Independence Day fireworks (held July 3rd) over Lake Champlain. The winter months offer the best views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains.
  • Rolf's place was exactly as described and pictured. The apartment itself was light and spacious, and simple yet comfortable. We were only 2 staying there, but it wouldn't have felt crowded even with a few more. I have to agree with the other reviewers on the fact that the beds were very comfortable! Clean towels were laid out in each room on arrival. The place just made a really great initial impression. The location was exactly what we were looking for: close enough to walk to downtown attractions, yet with a nice view of the water. Parking in the lot proved easy, and we didn't move the car for most of our trip, finding it convenient to walk to meals and shopping. Rolf was a great host: we didn't need to make much contact, but when I did get in touch, he was quick to reply with restaurant and brewery suggestions. I would definitely book this place again if I returned to Burlington.

  • The house was very clean, with clean towels and sheets.

  • Wonderful place! Clean & GREAT LOCATION! highly recommended, thank you for an amazing visit and trip!

  • Great location with views and a comfortable and clean space. Communication and check-in were easy. Parking was no problem for us, my Honda Civic made the steep driveway with just a little scrape. We would definitely stay there again.

  • Nice clean apartment with plenty of room, there was three flights of stairs up to our apartment so be mindful if you have to carry a lot of stuff or don't enjoy stairs. Check in was easy and fast, overall a nice space and about a 20 minute walk into the middle of downtown. Would stay again.

  • Rolf's place was exactly as described and as it looks in the photos. It was super clean, cozy and had everything we needed. Bonus: The location is perfect! We were only a few blocks away from downtown. Rolf himself was very responsive, accommodating and sweet. My friends and I had a great weekend in Burlington and would definitely stay here again in the future.

  • Listing was perfectly as described, we loved our stay at Rolf's place in Burlington! He had a nice bag of local apples ready for our consumption and a fridge full of water (so thoughtful). The apartment was clean and nicely laid out for a group of 5 of us, everyone seemed very comfortable! Rolf was also readily available as he was working on construction in some of the other adjoining apartments in the building. We will return and certainly stay at Rolf's place!

  • Really enjoyed our stay here. Such a cute, clean place and well equipped...beds were comfy and cozy. Only negative was the drive way.

Cozy little apartment, 1 bedroom, kitchen and living room. At Port Kent, NY. 90 min. south of Montreal. At the foot of the Adirondack. Massage therapist on site.
Furnished, equipped, private parking, pets allowed, room with double bed, sofa bed for 2 in the living room.
Port Kent is an ancient resort transformed into peaceful village. Half permanent residences, half resort. Golf club and restaurant.
  • A lovely place to relax. We stayed a few days. We walked down to the Port Kent beach, which is maybe a 15 minute walk away. We walked on nearby roads, which have breathtaking views of the lake and mountains. Pleasant and calm place to unwind. We took the amtrak in to reach the place and Daniel was kind enough to pick us up at the station after a train delay. We took the ferry to Burlington afterwards which was a great ride too. We brought groceries and books with us and had a nice few days. Place is pretty private and windows look into backyard- will see a few neighbors but everyone is friendly and considerate. Golf course up the hill.

  • I'm a traveling occupational therapy assistant and finding temporary housing can be a challenge sometimes. Currently I'm completing a 13-week contract in Elizabethtown, NY and Daniel's property is about 30 mins away from work. It is peaceful, quiet, and beautiful. Located RIGHT across the street from Lake Champlain, this place offers wonderful views. Daniel and his wife, Gisabelle are warm, welcoming and hospitable. The apartment is perfect for 1-2 people and stocked with any necessity you may need, and more. I'm happy to call this place home for the next couple months. :)

  • Very pleasant stay. Great early morning walks from this spot. Comfy bed. We would stay again. Thank you

  • Daniel and family made us feel welcome and at home. He kept us informed about his schedule and how to get the key to the apartment. The apartment was exactly as described and perfect for our visit. It was clean and quiet with a nice open feel. We would stay here again and recommend it to anyone who wants easy access to the ferry, train, or beach at Port Kent.

    Mitch2015-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great!!!! Right in front of the lake, clean, charming, all you need to cook and very close to Ausable Chasm. Will be staying here again.

  • Great little rustic place! Very quiet, clean and lovely. You have everything you need in the kitchen and in the bathroom. We didn't meet Jezabelle and Daniel but the communication and the self check-in and check-out was really easy. Not a place to stay if you want to go out since it's 20 mins from Plattsburgh but great place for biking, going to the beach and Ausable Chasm and relaxing!

    Léonie2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • My host Daniel, made me feel very welcomed! He answered any questions that I had prior to check-in , in a very timely fashion. In fact, he went above and beyond to make sure all of my questions/concerns were answered. Daniel also knows the area of Port Kent very well, and gave me plenty of great tips. Looking forward to staying here again sometime....Hopefully sooner then later. : )

    Alex 2015-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Daniel was very quick to respond to all communications. He was kind enough to let us check in an hour before he was expecting us. We didn't see him after that - we are very familiar with the area, so had no need to call upon him for advice or directions. The location is beautiful, and the accommodations were fine for our purposes. The apartment is clean and comfortable, well-furnished and well-equipped. There were 4 of us on one of the nights I stayed there. We all agreed that it would have felt too crowded for a longer period, but it was fine for one night.

An original Adirondack log cabin less than 100' from the water. The sun rises over the lake with the green mountains as a backdrop. The cabin has a 180 degree view of the water from the front sun room. Bald eagles makes regular flights over the lake with ducks and loons on the water daily. Be cautious driving on the dead end road over the "mountain" since deer are seen every morning and evening along the the road.
Stay as our guest in this authentic Adirondack log cabin. 4 bedrooms, one bath, a great room and a sun room overlooking lake Champlain. Less than 100' to the water with stairs down to the beach. Have a campfire on the beach, eat at the picnic table with a 180 degree view of the lake. Camp faces east over the lake and the Green Mountains of Vermont. This is a getaway destination so you can slow down and relax, no phone, no internet, no cable. For those addicted to being connected we do have a strong cell signal from Burlington VT.
  • I don't think we could've enjoyed our stay here more. The property is BEAUTIFUL and the house is fully stocked with anything you could need. While the immediate surrounding area is quiet and remote, it's only a short drive to Plattsburgh if you're looking for more to do - but, really, there's no need to leave the lake. Would love to come back!

  • Great place! Ron and Dianne were the nicest, most hospitable hosts ever. They let us check in early and leave late, the place was beautiful and immaculate, and had amazing views. Complete with kayaks, canoe, etc, and a grill, We would highly recommend this place to anyone.

    Justine2017-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful and very accommodating! Ron and his wife were very understanding and easy to work with, the cabin was absolutely beautiful, the backyard and the view of the lake was stunning. We are looking forward to making this an annual trip. Small sidenote, do not use Apple Maps to find this place! (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) will lead you straight to the front door

  • The setting was beautiful - right on the lake - so relaxing. Very spacious cabin with comfortable beds and plush towels. Our hosts were great. Short drive to Ausable Brewing Company where you can get amazing craft beer and fabulous crepes when the Northern Feast Catering truck is there. Great getaway spot!

    Daniel2016-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a tremendous time and were happy to get exactly what we expected to get and what we paid for. The hosts are excellent, always checking to make sure everything was going well and nothing was needed. I heavily recommend this host and their location.

    Jay2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning views. Great property. It's a rustic cabin which makes it awesome. The artwork is fun and whimsical. Ron and Diane are pleasant and friendly and really make staying at their place like it's your own. They have everything you will need for your stay. I can't wait to bring my kids back to experience it. My sister came with her husband for the morning as they were passing through and were stunned by how beautiful the spot is. If you have this property on your short list you should book it now. Thanks Ron and Diane for sharing you little pice of paradise with Natalie and me.

  • The Lake House was splendid, beautiful place with character. Donna is also a great host. Short stay but will make it back in the near future. Thx, JC

    John2015-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • Donna was very welcoming and greeted us at the house, answered our questions and showed us around. She also had restaurant / things to do in the area recommendations which were helpful.

    Emily2015-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Donna was a wonderful host. The house was neat and homey, and the neighborhood was nice and quiet. It's the perfect getaway place to escape the hustles of NYC and I would highly recommend this stunning lake view, vacation spot to anyone visiting Port Kent.

    Thomson2015-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Donna is a pleasant host to rent from. She was always available when needed and helped out around the kitchen. She made us feel at home and gave us tips on where to visit. Aside from her hospitality, the lake house is beautiful and cozy. It is the perfect location to visit Vermont by ferry and next to Ausable Chasm. I would rent again.

    Khris2014-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The photos don't do this lovely house justice. We were thrilled with the amount of living space including the full use of the kitchen and the enormous deck. The decor is just right for the home and location with some very nice touches. This home was perfect for our family of four (two teens) while visiting family in the area. Hiking, boating, brewery, golf, nearby.

    Mary2016-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • The whole experience was wonderful, Donna our host was the perfect hostess and made us feel right at home, she took the time to show us everything about the home and the area when we arrived. I would certainly go back to this location again and I believe we have gained a new friend for live.

    Oliver2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Donna was a very gracious host. The house was very well kept and the view was gorgeous. She was also very helpful and provided great recommendations on what to see, where to eat, and where to visit. Would absolutely visit again.

Situated on a small hill top in the Adirondacks, the house has a beautiful view on lake Champlain. Lake Champlain is the 13th biggest lake in North America 120 miles long and up to 6 miles wide. The Adirondack Park and its 46 peaks cover more than twice the surface of Yosemite & Yellowstone parks combined. The house is vast and fully equiped for your comfort and safety. Up a private road, the house sits on 8 acres of land and wilderness. The house accommodates families, small groups and larger groups: - The outdoorzy with trails, wildlife, a large firepit, sporting equipment (double kayak etc) ... - The foody with a fully equiped kitchen (pasta maker, kitchenAid, espresso machine, fondue kit, waflle maker, 2 sets of 12 dinning ware etc), large BBQ and large dining table... - The indoorzy with a 55in flat screen, 100+ dvds, Play Station, pool table, games, reading and internet. If you are interested in taking on the 46 peaks, then make sure you review High Peaks FAQs for rules, regulations, and all the info you need to know to get started.
The Adirondacks is a modest and beautiful region. The House is in a remote area, you can find anything you need in Plattsburgh (15min drive) for groceries and shopping. Lake Champlain is 2 miles down the road with a small beach and the ferry to Burlington marina (see internet for schedule). Ausable Chasm is 2 miles up the road (see internet schedule). Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountain are 40 minutes away and are worth the drive. Maggie's Pub at the Lake Placid Lodge (relais et Chateau) is absolutely fabulous. Go get organic dairy produce (cheese, ice cream etc) at Clover mead Farm corner Soper and Mace Chasm. Have a beer or four at Ausable artisanal Brewery down Mace Chasm road. The double kayak (strap on top of car) and sporting equipment are at your disposal in the garage.
  • We had a wonderful getaway here. The house and view were great - better than the pictures! There was lots of space for everyone and the room set-ups for sleeping arrangements were great. We could clearly tell that house was well taken care of. There were lots of amenities included which made the trip very enjoyable -- wood for the fire pit, extra propane for the grill, etc. We spent a lot of time outside and it was nice because we had the whole area to ourselves (i.e. no neighbors nearby). The host was very responsive and responded promptly to any questions. We would definitely return here in the future!

    Tanya2016-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice house with interior design. MC was very responsive and helpful to us via email. All of the amenities were provided. The views are spectacular by day or by night when you are star gazing. Our family enjoyed staying here!

  • Owner was very communicative and helpful. The house was perfect for our big group of friends. Truly an experience you wont find anywhere else.

  • Very accommodating for a large group. The house and view were equally amazing. Mc was a pleasure to work with. Honest and accurate listing. Well worth the price

  • The house was amazing! It was quite spacious and comfortable. The property was superior and it had all I needed and made my trip feel relaxed. The greatly apartment and beautiful view exceeded my expectations (it was even better than those pictures). I highly recommend to anyone.

  • The house is situated in a beautiful location great views. Ausable chasm is about 2 miles away and a ton of activities within an hour drive.

    Rashmi2017-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house with an amazing view of Lake Champlain. The pictures looked great but we were blown away with it once we arrived. The owner was very helpful and always available when we had questions. Would highly recommend.

    Josiah2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Mc's place is a wonderful place to take a family or a large group of friends. We loved it! The accommodations are spot on, clean, comfortable, and the amenities are abundant. Such a well equipped kitchen for in home cooking, (shopping before arriving is a good idea), and there is and a great folder of info on surrounding interests in the area. The layout of this well built home is very open and spacious, yet it is very quiet, never heard noises from others in the house in different areas. Beds were very comfortable. The finished basement was a great gathering room, with pool table, many DVDs of different genres, ( only a few kids ones ), and there are games and reading material galore to choose from. We were there a week and wish to return sometime again!

Enjoy unbelievable views of the beautiful mountains of Vermont. My place is located on Lake Champlain- the water is clear and clean with easy lake access. There are two beautiful lakeside porches to take in the view. Close to Ausable Chasm, 40 minutes from Lake Placid, about two hours to Montreal, and just a ferry ride from Burlington Vermont. The moon risings over the lake are amazing.
There is a steepness factor to this property. It is built on a hill which makes the views spectacular but there are steps involved. The house has an upstairs with two bedrooms, updated kitchen, LR and DR, bath with shower, and front porch the width of the house. The lower level has another full bath, laundry, huge bedroom with queen and twin. Both levels have completely furnished porches and TV's. 2 kayaks with house. All towels and sheets provided.
There is a cute outside brewery about 1 mile from the home. This setting has a close neighbor on the north side but an undeveloped lot on the south. East is the lake, and west is the road and the parking lot (which is shared with the north neighbor.)
  • Patti was an excellent and accessible host. She offered a serene setting with an abundance of gorgeous natural beauty. We loved looking, listening and playing in Lake Champlain. The local area was rich with its own unique history and feel with wonderful surprises. Including Mead Farm and the Micro Brewery within biking distance. Of course our visit to Ausable Chasm was truly terrific. We had most of our meals at home and found everything we needed in this well supplied kitchen. Also enjoyed the gas grill for veggie dogs and potato stir fry. Will miss the fire pit on the beach. If you are looking for a quiet get away with your family this is it!

    Dorothea2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Patti's home was beyond our expectations! Pictures do not do it justice. When you see the view of Lake champlain and the Vermont mountains, it will take your breath away!! We spent many hours on the beach (swimming and kayaking), the water was very refreshing and clean. The home had everything you would need and more (well equipped kitchen/plenty of towels/ outdoor grill/ fire pit on beach). The upper deck and lower deck were both perfect for sipping your morning coffee and taking in that amazing view, also enough lawn in the back yard to relax on or play a yard game! Plenty of space for 6 adults, a baby, and a couple dogs. We highly enjoyed the Ausable brewery, awesome beer/food trucks, and a very family friendly vibe! Also, you need to take the ferry to Burlington, which is maybe 10 minutes away, it is a perfect day trip. A nice hike to check out was Poke-o-Moonshine, it was only 15 minutes away, and 1.2 miles to the top with amazing views. We would highly recommend a trip to Keeseville!

  • We arrived in the evening for a one-night stay, and Jude welcomed us and was really nice. He and his wife suggested a few places we could go to for a late supper. We ended up walking to the beach (1 minute walk) at around 11pm and sat in our fold-out chairs, with a bright moon and a starry sky. The room was spacey, really luminous with a nice view. Although there are a few houses between the property and the beach, we could still see the water. There is also an AC unit in case it gets too hot, which we used at night. The next morning we woke up to the smell of breakfast that Jude had made us. Was very good and healthy. He was kind enough to ask is beforehand if there was anything we didn't like or if we were allergic to anything. Jude offered a variety of boating options (canoeing, sail-boating, kayaking) as well as lessons for any of them. Since the kayaks and sailboat looked high-end, he does charge a fee to use them and offer lessons. We would have liked to do some water-sports, but it was very windy that day and we were running a bit short on time. We instead went on a short walk along the beach. Water was really warm and pretty clear. Will definitely come back when we pass by that area again, and will plan more time for water-sports. Very nice and welcoming family. A real BnB!

  • The living space was even better and bigger than the pictures! We loved everything about our stay. The kids especially loved using the pool and we ate all of our meals outside because the weather was so nice and there was a nice canopy by the pool with a table and 4 chairs. Thank you Chris and Ann!

    Sarah 2016-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • I met Ann upon arrival, she welcomed me and showed me around. Also, met Christopher will taking a the tour. She answered all my questions and made themselves available to me. It is very spacious and the bathroom is amazing. They are very quiet. The dog would bark and we would hear it. Barking was never an issue when it was time to sleep. It is not a place to book if you are looking to cook or do laundry since these appliances are not available. Host stayed in there space and we didn't see them after the first meet... It worked well for us. I will definitely book this place again in the future. If you want to be away from the world this is the place to book.

Welcome to Nestlewood Manor LLC. Your family vacation spot Traditional, Roomy, & Homey. Ideal for large group:single or multi-family vacation. Nestled between Lake Champlain, Lake Placid and the Adirondack Mountains. Close to Olympic Village, Whiteface, Vermont for daily ski outings. FLW and all fishermen welcome. Miles of water for boating & fishing. Plenty of parking for boats, campers, etc. Large deck & fire pit for perfect relaxing evenings. Fenced in back yard for pets. Montreal in 75 min!
A very "homey" environment. Pleasant relaxing space. Not too fancy yet charming enough to enjoy your stay in the area. Often have bands on the large deck in the front with tents and chairs throughout the lawn.
Located in a small village in the Adirondacks Mountains. Nestlewood Manor is located at the end of a small cul-de-sac and surrounded by woods and empty property. Just at the edge of town, so quick runs are easy to pick up last minute items, but you are out of the way enough to feel secluded.
  • Very good

    Yehuda 2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • The Nestlewood Manor was absolutely perfect for our stay. The decor gave us a quaint home feeling and the space was amazing for a large group. It was quiet yet centrally located to the highway. We were there for a wedding nearby and enjoyed both inside for meals together in the large living/kitchen area and the outside with plenty of space for the kids to run around in. Although the wedding events took up much of our time, we would definitely come back to explore more of the Adirondak Area and stay there again.

    Nancy2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • We certainly enjoyed the deck in the front yard, the ability to accommodate a large group, and the simplicity and ease of the whole process.

  • Nestlewood manor is a true gem. Its luxury can make indulging indoors as enjoyable as immersing in many exciting outdoor adventures that are within a short drive. We made this as a base for an extended family get together while dropping off our son for college in Montreal, which almost seemed like a commute. The charming decor and more than ample amenities in Nestlewood manor will truly make you feel pampered in luxury. Would love to visit again in any season and especially in winter.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nestlewood! The home is well equipped and have very comfortable beds. We felt right at home during our stay. The Home is in close proximity to everything we wanted to do. We will definitely rent this home again if it is available for the times needed for future visits. Thank you James and Heather for your wonderful home and hospitality!

  • We stayed at Jim and Heathers house for a ski vacation the week between Christmas and New years. It was about 35-40 minutes to Whiteface Mountain and 50 minutes to Lake Placid. The house was very spacious, comfortable, and clean and had everything that we needed. There were 16 of us and we never felt crowded. We thought it was nicer than the pictures on airbnb! Heather and Jim were very gracious hosts and always responded very quickly to any questions we had. Would definitely recommend this house. Would love to go back in the summer!

  • This home was all that we could wish for a home away from home for the holidays! It was clean, cosy and spacious, large enough to accommodate our family of eight. The kitchen was fully equipped. The grounds are lovely. All our activities were easily accessible. Owners were very responsive. We would happily stay there again!

We love the eclectic mix of everything from shabby chic to wealthy living in our community. It's a great place to walk and meet nice people from all walks of life. The abundance of birds and wildlife along with the lush vegetation and breezes off the lake are good for the soul.
  • Absolutely beautiful location, convenient to the lake shore and much more! The house was clean, completely well equipped (even down to a muffin tin for baking, which I used). Communicating with the hosts was easy and clear. I stayed with my 7 year old granddaughter. We took the suggested walk down to the causeway which is part of a miles long bike and walking trail, going all the way to Grand Isle: a very cool resource so nearby. We enjoyed the house and friendly neighborhood very much.

  • Absolutely fantastic experience! The house is in a breathtaking location overlooking lake Champlain. The sun rise over the lake is stunning and a short walk away is the CauseWay with a stunning sunset. Overall, one of our most memorable stays and thanks a lot Robin & Jack for making it possible!

We only have specified check-in and out times for days when one party is leaving and another party is arriving the next day. If you would like an early check-in and/or a late check-out, please ask and we might be able to accommodate it! If we aren't able to accommodate a late check out, please note that those who haven't checked out by 11am will be charged for an extra night. Don't want to worry about grocery shopping? I have romantic packages available for an extra $25 or $50, where I will provide flowers, wine, beer, etc. I will go above and beyond to make your trip special!
This is on a dead end road, with a mix of seasonal and year round houses/cabins. There is lake access plus access to a dock. **Please note that this is a serene and peaceful neighborhood. I would ask that you respect that and not have loud gatherings or gatherings with a large number of people. **
  • We had a fabulous 2 weeks at the lake house. A beautiful setting on Lake Champlain. There was lots of wildlife to watch. The area is fantastic for days out - lots to see. Shana supplied a folder with pamphlets giving details about places of interest. I am interested in quilting and there are a number of quilting supply shops in the area. The house was comfortable, homely and clean. We had everything we needed and Shana was very attentive. There was no shortage of cleaning materials including dishwasher liquid, washing liquid and fabric conditioner. Toilet rolls and kitchen towels. She even brought us a pastry, tea, coffee, and chocolate when we arrived, which was much appreciated. There was a grill and fire pit in the garden. I fully recommend the property as a holiday location and give it 5 stars.

    Elizabeth2016-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay- perfect amount of space for 3 couples.

    Meagan2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time with my family in Vermont! Shana is a wonderful host who is very attentive. I loved the view and would gladly come back. Close enough to everything we needed and yet felt secluded and private.

    Andrea2017-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Shana's house is located right on Mallet's Bay, super close to the bike path to Burlington and the Causeway. If you love beautiful water views, watching for wildlife and biking or walking this is a great place to stay! The house was comfortable, quiet and cozy! Thank you!

    Donna2017-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy house with outstanding lake view. Very close to the bike path, so the bikes came in handy for my partner and I. Aprox 40 minutes at leisurely speed to Burlington downtown. We also enjoyed the weber grill and had all our dinners outside on the patio. The AC was effective and of high standard. Shana was very nice and super quick to answer our inquiries. Loved the local chocolate we got as a welcome gift! Kitchen, baths and bedrooms were extremely well equipped, so no need to bring anything. Highly recommended.

    Henning2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Shana was so welcoming! She left us muffins and chocolates and a nice note! The house was pretty accurate to the description as well! I wish there was an easier access to the water or directions on where we could go to get into the water, but we were there for a short time so we didn't explore as much!

    Amanda2016-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Shana's place was the perfect spot for a few nights when we had family in town for a wedding. Great location near our home. Easy check in. The nearby recreational opportunities make it a wonderful option for longer term vacation stays as well.

    Laurene2017-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this listing from the moment we saw it on Airbnb and it was everything we could have wanted and more for a weekend away. Shana was in frequent contact with us before our trip and even left some goodies for us in the house when we arrived Friday evening. The house is exactly as pictured and has an incredible view of the lake. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely love to come back in the summer. Thank you!

  • Lisa's cottage is an adorable little place and it is right on the water. She has it fixed up really cute on the inside and has everything you need including a nice grill. We were even able to have campfires outside with the grandchildren. I would highly recommend staying here.

  • The outdoor space is beautiful - the deck is large and has a table for eating and lounge chairs. There is a seating area in the yard with a fire pit. The cottage is very close to the water and has excellent scenic views. It is very close to the causeway and downtown Burlington. The inside is cozy and pretty basic, but provides most everything you would need.

  • It's such a cute little place. Perfect location on the lake. We were very happy with it. I would only suggest better lighting in some areas of the cabin. There are no full length walls between rooms still privacy could be an issue for some. I loved the feel of the cabin, like it's been loved! Thank you, Lisa. We enjoyed ourselves very much.

  • Harry was a nice and welcoming host. The neighborhood was really beautiful, peaceful and the house was very beautiful.

    SUMANTA2015-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • It has been an utmost experience at Harry's place. I took my family to watch the foliage this autumn. It was a spontaneous trip, so I did not most things plan out till the day of. Harry was EXTREMELY patient and accommodating. Prior to our arrival, Harry contacted and sent us all the relevant information. His Lake house was very new, and very well decorated. (It is a combination of maritime vintages and Chinese/Tibetan paintings and ribbons) I will not ramble on how beautiful his estate was, or how great and kind Harry was. You shall experience it first hand! I particularly enjoyed Harry's study. I spent some good hours studying for my GMAT after a full day of family time with my mom and grandma. Oh! I forgot to mention his outdoor fireplace and the patio by the edge of the water. My mom, grandma and I sat by the twinkle of the lights, sipped on our warm pumpkin spiced latte, and watched the waves gently touched brush onto the shore. It was marvelous.

    Zihan2015-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • This house was the perfect spot for our fishing trip. The house was very clean and well equipped. Harry was easily accessible and very friendly. I would highly recommend this house for anyone looking for a nice getaway.

    Dan2016-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Communication with Harry to plan our trip was easy and went smoothly. He greeted us upon arrival and went above and beyond welcoming us and showing us the lay of the land. The cottage/camp has recently been entirely remodeled and it is attractively furnished and appointed, very comfortable and just a touch rustic, precisely as it should be. This home has every accoutrement you'll need. The property is nicely maintained, but you'll need to be okay with sharing it with countless curious chipmunks, cardinals, blue jays, nut hatches and gold finches. We even were visited by a beautiful pileated woodpecker. My only concern about the place when we rented it was that it sits on the shore of Willsboro Bay, rather than Lake Champlain proper. In the end, I was glad we ended up where we were. The bay is gorgeous and relatively quiet. The steep cliffs of the far shore are nearly entirely unpopulated. The Adirondacks loom behind. A look north up the lake proper can be had right next door, just a few steps away, at the very tip of Willsboro Point. This protected preserve that borders the property is worth a visit at various times of day as the magnificent vista changes considerably depending on time of day and the shifting light. If you find the sound of waves gently lapping at the shore and the sight of light sparkling on the water relaxingly hypnotic, you'll love this place. We'd readily give it five stars if only the docks had been in, but high water from especially heavy Spring rains precluded that possibility. Thanks, Harry! "“And gladly wolde he lerne, and gladly teche.” "

    suzanne2015-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Just Perfect! Harry's home on Willsboro Point was precisely what we were looking for. The house was very comfortable, exactly as described and very cozy. The sunset photo is exactly what we saw each evening sitting by the outdoor fireplace watching the boats go by. it was also very sweet to watch the chipmunks and variety of birds that visit the property going about their business in the morning over coffee. Much time was spent on the water. We paddled out from the beach on our kayaks, around the bay and down to a local restaurant for lunch. Another day was a lovely trip over to Burlington to wander about via the Pt. Kent Ferry. Harry was a superb host, taking time to show us around the property and the Preserve on the point next to the property. It couldn't have been better!!

Summers are glorious and picturesque on Mallets Bay. This rustic camp is located on a private beach right on Lake Champlain and feet from The Causeway bike path. Spend your days here and explore bustling downtown Burlington just 20 minutes away. Enjoy the outdoors? This is for you. Welcome!
  • My wife and two daughters had an absolutely amazing time at Rosa's camp. The camp, while rustic, was outfitted with everything we could possibly need. We spent 2 weeks here and everyday felt like a home away from home. You're right on the water, steps away from the causeway, and just a short drive from all Burlington and Colchester has to offer. The property manager, Tom, was helpful, courteous, and took great care of us while we were there. Simply perfect - we're missing the views already! Thank you!

    Matthew2015-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • My family just returned for a week-long stay on the lake, and it was everything we could've asked for. The lake views were absolutely amazing; nothing could be more relaxing than reading on the beach while our four-year old napped or enjoying a quiet evening of stargazing. Burlington is a short ten mile drive from the house, and it's fairly close to (an admittedly small) supermarket to pick up the essentials for lunch or dinner. The proximity of the causeway was definitely a plus (my wife and I are runners), and my son loved heading out on the lake in the canoe. The cabin was just the right size for our family, and the breeze kept the entire house cool even on the hottest, most humid of days. As one reviewer noted, the sink/stove area was a bit small, though the island provided ample counter space. Grilling dinner on the beach was a joy, as were the meals spent overlooking the lake. In short, we'd come back in a heartbeat.

    Tim2015-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Charming little cottage right by the lake. The person that let us in was unfailingly helpful. Kayaks and canoes were great

    Tim2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a wonderful time at Rosa's camp. It was clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. We loved using the charcoal bbq on the private beach. The camp is rustic, but comfortable, and welcoming. On the first day, Tom was on site to greet us and show us the place. He was available whenever we had questions. The camp is on lake Champlain, the beach has some rocks but after a few meters walking into the lake, there was only sand. It was really nice to swim, as we can go far while still being able to touch the bottom of the lake. I loved using the kayak on the lake, there's a canoe as well on site. A beautiful bike path, crossing lake Champlain is literally next to the camp, it is a great place not only for biking, but for walking, running and fishing too. It was not far from Burlington, where we found great restaurants and bars. A few supermarkets were in the area, so it was practical to buy groceries and local microbreweries beers.

    Lily2015-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • a cozy cabin on the lake, if your into the outdoors this spot is for you! The house manager was nice & we had a good stay!

    Mike2015-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • The view of the lake was incredible, and so peaceful to sit and watch with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine (depending on the time of day). My boyfriend and I took full advantage of the charcoal grill and frequently ate at the adorable picnic table inside the screened in porch. The property is right next to the causeway, which is a great spot to go for a walk or bike ride. Would definitely recommend!

    Emily2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had an AMAZING time at this home. It was spotless, comfortable, and in the perfect location. It truly is seconds from the bike path and directly on the water. The amenities provided really made the stay, i.e., canoe, kayaks, Adirondack chairs. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have a relaxing and quiet getaway with perfect lake views. I would definitely return to this place many times. Thank you Rosa!

    Madeline 2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great week at the cabin, everything was excellent! We cooked out on the grill many times and also cooked inside using the small stove. Everything was provided for and the location next to the causeway was perfect for walks or a long run in the morning.

Welcome to Prospero's Cove! We think of this place on Lake Champlain as kind of magical, a bit of paradise where you can recharge your batteries and rekindle your dreams of the good life. Great downhill skiing is close by; cross- country skiing, snowshoeing, & snowmobiling are local winter sports. Lots of Adirondack peaks to hike nearby, and swimming and water sports are in abundance in warm weather. Or just read a book from the Library by one of the three fireplaces at Camp, and relax.....
The Adirondack Camp has high ceilings and an open floor plan, with 3 fireplaces. It is perfect for hanging out and relaxing. The decor is very nice, but not fussy. The camp has hardwood floors on the main and lower levels; upstairs is carpeted. 20' octagon room overlooking the water, huge deck for entertaining, grills, gardens, 55" smart tv, oak library, separate suite and kitchenette downstairs with full views of water.
The Adirondacks are one of the loveliest places in the United States. Hope you have a chance to visit and enjoy their rugged and majestic beauty!

  • We enjoyed our time at Susan's place. We arrived to fresh eggs, milk, juice and scones. The location was quiet and beautiful. Great place for a family. Susan pulled out toys and a pack and play, making the place a great fit for a young child. Perfect for our family of three and our dog!

  • Living in NYC and wanting a little solitude away from the city, this was the perfect place. Beach area with fire pit made for some beautiful evenings for my wife, myself and our 2 dogs. Excellent communication, latitude on check in/ check out times and the place had everything you needed including all cooking necessities, bikes, fishing poles, already cut wood and much more. Great vacation! We highly recommend the property and the owners!

  • Such a lovely stay. Everything the post portrays. Delicious scones upon arrival and beautiful views the entire stay. Very kid friendly. Can't wait to come back!

    Wheeler2017-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was highlighted by hospitality and welcome! The cabin offers AMAZING views of the sunrise (our 9 month old made sure we were up to see them all)! We felt more like family than strangers. The property is quiet and picturesque, with beautiful gardens and a patio with a fun bar! We took advantage of the offered bicycles (which are in great shape) to ride out to the causeway. The bike path is literally steps from the house. The highlight of our stay in this home was the living area. Beautiful windows facing the lake, great sunlight, open kitchen, living room, dining area...just perfect.

    Bob2016-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I had a very good time in this charming rustic cabine by the lake. The view is unbeatable (one can admire the sunrise from the main room's large windows), the place is comfortable and the outdoor space is very convivial. A lot is offered to guests to enjoy the outdoor (fishing rods, a canoe to paddle on the lake, bikes to go around, a spot to sit around an outdoor fire,...). At our arrival, home baked scones and apple sauce were waiting for us, among other nice attentions (such as freshly cut flowers in different vases, maps and adds for things to do and see in the area). We felt very comfortable to cook, chill out, spend quality family time inside and around the cabine. Susan and Bill were great hosts. Even if we did not meet them in person, we felt they were very responsive and available over the phone at anytime.

  • Susan's cottage is a dream!! A couple of highlights HOUSE: 1) The view is spectacular, I love waking up to a panoramic sprawl of Lake Champlain. In the winter it was so serene 2) The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet 3) Well equipped kitchen and Keurig! LOCATION: 1) Very easy drive (about 15 mins) from Burlington. We were able to easily get into town for dining and walking on the bike path that goes along the shoreline in Burlington. 2) There is also a nice bike right beside the house that goes over the lake to one of the nearby islands. In January it was a chilly walk, but would be absolutely gorgeous in the summer. HOST: 1) Amazing personal touches - susan had left us freshly baked cranberry scones which were DELICIOUS, as well as eggs and all the supplies we needed for our first breakfast. Such a kind gesture 2) Check in and out was very simple 3) No interaction with hosts but Susan made clear we could reach out if needed and provided with suggestions for our trip. I prefer this level of interaction with the hosts, so that was nice Overall a beautiful weekend get away! We hope to come back in the summer!!

    Casey2017-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable and cozy house right next to the lake. Even with rain all weekend, we enjoyed our stay. Lovely view, nice privacy, and had all necessary amenities (and some baked scones!) We're already planning our next trip for the summer, so we could go canoeing on the lake :) Would highly recommend staying here.

    Paulina2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage was perfect for our weekend adventure. We stayed in the cottage with another couple Friday and Saturday night. It was exactly what we were looking for, off the beaten path and private but a reasonable drive to activities. Friday night we took an Uber, which arrived in a timely fashion to a show in south Burlington. Saturday we went skiing at stow, about a 45min drive. The Uber to get home Friday night was a little expensive because of the distance and time (it doubled in price from out trip there) but it was worth it to be staying in such a secluded area. The cabin has great views. We couldn't have been any happier. We had a great trip.

My home is on Lake Champlain in Colchester VT. THIS LISTING IS A SHARE. We have lake access just across the street and our neighborhood is very friendly. Close to Burlington, there is easy access to bike trails, mountains, boating and restaurants. Sunsets are amazing! I will be in the house and the available bedrooms are off of a small foyer. You would be sharing the house with me. There is one bathroom.
Our home is one story and the available bedrooms are across from one another.
Our neighborhood is a mix of seasonal and year round residents. It has the feel of a summer cottage community.
  • If you are looking for a clean home with a lovely view of Lake Champlain within walking or biking distance of the beautiful bike path this home is for you. We will definitely be back. Helaine, the owner is also very accommodating and responds quickly to any questions. We go to the area often and this was a nice break from staying in the city while being a quick drive to Burlington. This gets a 5 star rating from us for our first Airbnb experience.

    Karen2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Helaine was extremely nice and helpful, everything was just as described and even better! We would come back any time. Overall Amazing experience!

  • We had a wonderful stay in the cottage. From our first contact with Helaine we had a positive feeling this would be a great spot. Nicely appointed and up to date; the main living space was open and clean. We stayed in a comfortable queen bed with plenty of space in the room. Can't wait to return. virws of the lake are amazing!

Welcome to Mills Point in Malletts bay! 3 bedroom cottage with boat launch and beach access. Bike to the nearby causeway or take the bike path to downtown Burlington. Come relax by the lake and enjoy all Colchester and Burlington has to offer. For leaf peeping we are centrally located to visit Stowe, Burlington, Shelburne, Montpelier, Rt. 100 and the Lake Champlain Islands. We can help you plan your trip. So much to see and do and the season lasts well into October on the lake.
This is our second home and it is such a pleasure to visit for relaxation and fun on Lake Champlain. Perfect for couples and families - not a good neighborhood for singles coming to party. The town has a lovey recreation program with week long programs for children and the access to the bike path is perfect for all ages. The causeway to the Lake Champlain Islands has a bike ferry to enable you to explore all there is to offer and the bike path goes all the way to Burlington. Kayaks and other beach toys.
  • GREAT location and scenic neighborhood. Megan gave great turn by turn directions to get to the property, which was very helpful since we arrived late at night. Rooms were well appointed as was the kitchen. We will definitely check for availability next time we plan to travel to the area!!! We didn't get a chance to enjoy the fire pit or kayaks as time and weather were against us :(!

    S2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location. Bring your own bikes if you can. We rented from Malletts Bay at Airport Park tent that they set up inch worked out fine but I would bring my own next time to have them everyday.

    Tracy2017-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home in a great location. We were just a few steps away from the lakefront and the bike trail. Megan is a great communicator, and we enjoyed the amenities and her recommended local spots. Hope we can visit again next year.

    Brad2016-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great neighborhood, great location, easy check in/out. However, cleanliness of the bathroom/kitchen area were not acceptable.

    Kendall2016-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • This house was SOOOO CUTE! Perfect size for the 6 of us and we all slept very comfortably every night. The kayaks was such an added bonus. Would come back to this beautiful town anytime.

    victoria2016-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Megan was a nice host and easy to communicate with. The house was nice and the proximity to the causeway is awesome. Burlington is an easy drive or uber away. We didn't spend a lot of time at Megan's place, but the time there was pleasant. My only issue was the bathroom could have been more thoroughly cleaned. Overall a great stay.

    Lizzy2016-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Megan's communication was excellent throughout and her directions made finding the property extremely easy. The house was immaculate and everything worked brilliantly. We had a fantastic time, making the most of the outside grill area on the first night and exploring the beautiful surroundings the following day. This really is an exceptional property in a gorgeous part of the world. Megan made us feel right at home and helped us feel like locals!

    David2016-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, check couldn't have been easier, kayaks were a nice plus, and Megan was very responsive. Great place for family, my 3 year old had a great time on the lake. For the adults, the porch with grill was a nice place to relax. Pantry was stocked pretty well. King beds were super comfortable!

    Summer on Malletts Bay!
    16 reviews
Watch the sun come up over the Green Mountains as you have coffee on the lakeside lawn of our three bedroom cottage on Whitecap Road, Mills Point, in Colchester. Right off the Causeway/Burlington bike path and 10 minutes from Burlington, this is the perfect location for getting away without having to forego access to "stuff". The lake side has a flat lawn, 7 foot seawall, and a private, rocky beach. Cable TV, DVD, WiFi and washer/dryer. No smoking. Some pets negotiable - beforehand only.
This is a simple three bedroom cottage with the open living/dining/kitchen area on the lakeside to enjoy the views during the day. As far as equipment, we have a heater, ample fans, an over/under washer/dryer, city water but private septic (no "flushable" wipes or hygiene products, please), flat screen TV, DVD, cable, WiFi and a pile of great board and card games. Add to that the bike path, Airport Park, the Sunset Drive-In and downtown Burlington, we guarantee that you can find something to do or a place to relax.
The immediate neighbors are all seasonal residents, but more and more of Mills Point is becoming permanent housing. The neighborhood association has rules (in the bookcase) to try to keep the amicable, close-knit nature of this special place, well, special. Do not speed in the neighborhood as there are many pedestrians and children.
  • My group was in the area for a rock climbing competition. The house layout was perfect for our group of 6, and watching the sunrise over Lake Placid was a gift. Great space, great view, great host.

    Lyndon2016-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Andrews house is in a great location and has a beautiful veiw. Unfortunately, my fellow guests and I became uncomfortable when he began showing up multiple times during our stay in a most disgruntled manor. We would have enjoyed our stay much more if it had not been for the way in which he accused us of mislead violations. Nevertheless, my guests and I did our best to abide to his requests, although this did not seem to subdue his temper. Knowing that this was his first experience with Airbnb , I might recommend any future guests to be wary of his temperament and expectations of you as a guest.

    Amanda2016-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • This home is in a wonderful location with nice views of the bay, and plenty of chairs to sit in while enjoying that view. It's super-close to the causeway, so there is always a great place for a walk or jog. It was very quiet as well. If you are searching for a peaceful place for a restful few days, this is a good choice. It's not fancy, but it's not advertised to be fancy. We enjoyed our time there. The kitchen was well stocked with the basics you need for cooking, which is a considerate touch for those of us who are staying only for a few days (no need to purchase salt, pepper, condiments, etc.). Make sure you get up in time to enjoy the sunrise... either from the front lawn or from the causeway. It's worth it!

    Rebecca2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house on lake Champlain! Andy was very communicative and helpful, and the place was clean and had all the amenities we needed. It's in a great location to enjoy the lake and also only a 20 min drive to Burlington. Would highly recommend!

    Hannah2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Seamless communication, great spot. The highlight for me was taking Andrew's kayak out on the lake.

    Stefan2016-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • A very lovely cottage on the lakeshore with amazing views of the lake. Quite a spacious cottage, rooms for 6. Andy was very helpful in our communications prior to arriving and was quite understanding when we requested to add an additional person to the itinerary, and contrary to an earlier reviewer's comments, did not appear to intrude at all during our stay.

    Victor2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first experience staying at an Airbnb and it won't be our last. Staying in a home is so much better than a hotel. Andrew's place was clean and the living room/dining room was spacious. The beds were very comfortable and the lake view from the living room was beautiful. Make sure you get up early and see the gorgeous sunset.

We are located very close to parks, restaurants and dining, art and culture, and the Burlington city center. You’ll love my place because of the views, the location, the outdoors space, the ambiance, and the people. The cottage is wonderful for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families with children. Rents by the week in the month of August!
  • There's no surprises here. What you see is what you get. And what you get at Bobbi's place is an awesome beach cottage in a great little community steps from the lake and minutes from downtown. It was a wonderful place for us. Bobbi made it easy and I would definitely stay at the cottage again in the future.

    Anthony2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time overall in this lake house. Beautiful views, and Bobbi was very responsive. The one detail that would have been helpful to us (as a group of five) is that the shower is located in one of the bedrooms instead of the bathroom. Other than that, it provided everything we desired for our stay.

    Abby2016-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Bobbi's place was great for my husband and I but would definitely be comfortable for a family 5 or so or another couple. The nejghbors were friendly. Bobbi was a lovely host, checking in with us to make sure we had all that we needed. We felt she gave us all the info we would need but was also available if we were looking for tips or ideas of what to do while we stayed there. Would go back there again if we make a future trip to Vermont.

    Karen2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot on the lake, an easy 20 minute drive from downtown Burlington. Beach area was quite nice, and perhaps because the lake was low, really especially great for kids with a very gradual entry and sandy bottom. The house was cute and comfortable for three adults and two kids. We didn't spend much time in the house but it was a good landing spot. The only thing to be aware of (which may be in the listing) is that the shower is actually in one of the three bedrooms, which is awkward for unrelated adults. Overall I'd recommend!

    Lara2016-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • A cute, cozy, comforting cottage. It was a 10-15 min drive from Burlington but felt a world away. My trip was so last minute and ever-changing that I did not spend as much time in the cottage as planned- but did manage a glorious bike ride from Burlington to the causeway, a must do! Bobbi was great hostess.

    Kim 2017-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great cottage with beautiful views of Lake Champlain. Watched spectacular sunsets each evening on the Lake. Enjoyed the small close knit neighborhood and meeting the neighbors. Everyone so friendly and even inviting us to participate in bonfires on the beach. Will be back!

Renovated, open 1200 sq ft home in lakeside neighborhood, steps to 12-mile bike/walking trail (from Burlington to the Lake Champlain islands, via bike ferry) . Safe, quiet. Less than fifteen minutes to Burlington restaurants and shops. Near drive-in movie! Our home is located in Colchester, adjacent to Burlington.
The interior of our home always surprises visitors. It is not huge but roomy, bright, and open. It's quiet and cool in the summer with windows all around. You will find it very clean and easy to live in. Our minimum stay will allow you to really settle in and feel at home. We have worked to make our back yard a little sanctuary for birds and, if you care to keep the bird feeders filled (we'll supply feed), you'll see lots of activity out the office window.
This is a comfortable, friendly, end-of-the-road neighborhood. Lots of locals don't even know we are here. There are a couple of private lake access points and a private boat access for residents and guests (that includes you!). We are 5 minutes to the classic Sunset Drive-In theater and Mazza's General Store and one mile to Airport Park's tennis/pickleball, basketball, sand volley ball courts, walking trails and horseshoe pits.
  • We had an enchanting stay at this lake house. The location was fantastic with proximity to walks on the Causeway and bicycling. We covered over 120 miles right from the back door! The house was spotless and well-appointed with linens and cookware. The decoration was cute and the house was very cozy. Colchester is a short ways from Burlington but very quiet and peaceful. We found great bike rentals nearby at Mallet's Bay Bicycles that made getting out onto the paths accessible from the house even better. This was a perfect week!

Bluff cottage is a very private retreat on Lake Champlain and close to Burlington, VT. You’ll love the million dollar views from the kitchen, dining area, sitting area and extensive deck. Stairs down to the rock beach with 100 feet of private shoreline.
    The view!
Watching the moonrise from the deck and going to the causeway for sunset with a favorite beverage!
  • This is a spot in an excellent location. Beautiful vistas of the lake and the mountains! Close to the impressive Causeway, a bike trail and walking trail on the lake! We were content to stay in and enjoy the views because hey we're that good! The cottage is also not far from Burlington, which we loved. Karen was very accommodating and responsive with all communication prior to our stay. She dropped off kayak and three bikes for us to use! So sweet!

  • Really great experience! My family of 5, plus our dogs, stayed at Karen's for vacation and were very happy with our stay. The cottage is comfortable with great little touches to make you feel welcome and at home- comfy bedding, clean high quality towels, bikes to use, a fully stocked kitchen, coffee and smore's supplies. The view is absolutely breathtaking. Bluff Cottage is a short distance to Burlington and a 2 minute bike ride to the Colchester Causway (which you must experience the sunset from!). The neighborhood is very friendly and we chatted with many locals while walking our pups. Karen was very considerate of our privacy as well. We were all very impressed and my kiddos are already asking to go back! Thanks Karen!

  • Staying in Karen's lakefront cottage for 3 days in the fall was really a wonderful and idyllic experience. The location is in a quiet and beautiful setting, with magnificent waterfront views and easily accessible to the town of Burlington. Karen's communications prior to our arrival and multitude of sightseeing, recreational and other information provided in the cottage helped our visit go smoothly and enhanced our planning. She was also available to answer quickly several questions we had during our stay. The cottage was immaculate and well-furnished, with very comfortable beds and a kitchen and bathrooms with nice amenities. We would certainly like to return in the future and highly recommend it.

BROADLAKE RETREAT is a lakeshore backyard wildlife habitat. Guests enjoy close, shaded access to Lake Champlain. The first-floor guest room features paintings from local artists, a dreamy sleigh bed with all-cotton linens and down comforter, and a great view of the lake. Let us serve you Continental breakfast in the glass sunroom. You can spend the day there, protected from the weather, watching Lake Champlain, just steps away. Or get out and hike the Bike Path or, in snow, cross-country ski.
For winter months, Broadlake Retreat is featuring a new shared space -- the dining room with wood-burning fireplace and large farmhouse table. Guests may use the room to dine or just have coffee, to work on their laptops or talk with their companions. Ancient structural beams stripe the ceiling (from a century-old mill in Winooski) and imbue both the dining room and the guest bedroom with a luxurious old-world feel. Antique furniture, a thick down mattress and comforter, quality linens and a private bathroom provide guests with privacy, comfort and the major eye-candy; a panoramic view of Lake Champlain, so close and constant, seems to calm people. Each season on the lake is distinct: the water may be gray and choppy, snow-swept and frozen, or sunny-blue dotted with colorful kite sails. There's a different kind of beauty to the off-season, and the sunroom gives a year-round lens on rather exciting weather. Guests may eat breakfast there or read a novel on a big comfy sofa. The sunroom is technically shared space, though we avoid it when guests use it. In the evening, the outdoor fireplace may warm them well into the night. A LGBTQIA SafeSpace, here all are welcome! 4:20 friendly.
We're on a quiet dirt road where a few mansions have been rebuilt from old camps and now rub shoulders with retirees' cottages. Facing New York across Lake Champlain, Broadlake Road is a nice, small neighborhood very near the beautiful Burlington bike path and causeway, which draws cyclists and walkers from all over New England.
  • Catherine and John are wonderful hosts and you cannot ask for more from their home. The location is perfect, just far enough from the city to enjoy the quiet, but close enough to pop in for all the fun Burlington has to offer. The home is a wonderful haven to just relax and/or enjoy land and water sports… be sure to check out the Causeway – a short walk or bike ride from their home. It’s not to be missed. Also, they put together a wonderful breakfast at your convenience (they even packed ours up for the day we left early for a hike) in the sun room and a fire a night outside is the perfect way to wind down at the end of the day. And then there's the bed. A super cozy, dream of a bed!! We stayed for four nights and didn’t want to leave!

  • We had the absolute best weekend at John and Catherine’s home! Their home is secluded and private. The location can’t be beat, right on the lake. They welcomed us with glasses of delicious, fresh sangria. John and Catherine were such gracious hosts. They offered up lots of excellent recommendations for things to do in the area and restaurants to try downtown. The breakfasts were so yummy - I can’t wait to try to make my own oatmeal and coconut bread! They also let us borrow their bikes for a trek down the nearby bike path. So convenient and fun to explore the area this way! The highlight of our stay was our last night which we spent outside by the fire playing guitar. John joined us on the drums! This was our favorite Airbnb experience and we can’t wait to visit again!

  • WONDERFUL..!!! Can't wait to go back! Super comfortable bed, Incredible views, Amazing hosts, THE Cutest dogs! Sit by the fire pit, enjoy the chairs below the willow trees 5 feet from the waves, the bedroom and private bath are very well appointed and VERY comfortable. Catherine and John are extremely nice and accommodating; great morning coffee, organic yogurt & strawberries, home made banana & pumpkin breads. Staying in their home was a beyond lovely, what you hope for in an Airbnb experience. If you want to really know someone, observe how they treat animals; the love and kindness I experienced watching them interact with Ruby (160lbs, 11.5yr old, blind, mastiff) was pure love and something I will never forget. Thank you for the wonderful experience and memories!!!

  • Catherine & John are awesome hosts and their house is amazing! Beautiful lake views, great bike/walking paths and a close drive to Burlington, which was a lot of fun. It's great place to stay for a quick get away or a family vacation. They made us breakfast every morning and were very helpful with things to do around Burlington - Farmers market, restaurants, entertainment & outdoor activities. I would recommend staying there!

  • Tranquillity, peace and lovely company. This was exactly what I was looking for on my trip. The location = perfection. Water views right from the bedroom window while snuggled under the down comforter and the breeze lulled me to sleep. A good long soak in the tub, delicious coffee and breakfast in the sun room while the wildlife roamed and the water soothed. Close to local eateries, downtown Burlington a short car ride away and Stowe was just a quick hop on the interstate. Amazing hosts - such warmth and so welcoming. I look forward to returning!

  • What a fabulous place to stay on Lake Champlain! As three colleagues traveling to Burlington for work, it was the perfect place. Four bedrooms and 2.5 baths also make it a great deal. It is right on the lake with a beautiful sand beach, a place for your hammock, and spectacular views. It is also right across the street from the Champlain Bikeway, if you want to head out to the causeway. The house is located in a very quiet area, yet Burlington is just a few minutes away. Phil met us at the house and stocked it with a few essentials to get us through our first evening/ morning. We especially appreciated the coffee! Since we were working, we also really appreciated the wifi. The house was delightful and we wholeheartedly recommend it (and the owners!)!!

  • We had an awesome stay at this great house on Lake Champlain. The lake and beach were wonderful and quiet. The sunsets were amazing! The house was comfy and the upstairs bedrooms were perfect for our family. The kitchen has a great breakfast bar that I’m not sure I noticed in the pics. We spent lots of time on the sun porch, which is great for any time of day. The grocery store was nearby so it was easy for us to get everything we needed. The kitchens (there’s one upstairs and a fridge/sink/counterspace downstairs), grill, dining table, and picnic table on the beach worked well for our group. The house is also across the street from the local bike/running trail, which was a nice bonus.

Cozy, four-season living on Lake Champlain. This two bedroom home is steps from one of the most spectacular sandy beaches on Lake Champlain! Enjoy swimming, kayaking and bonfires from our shared beach with stunning views of Camels’ Hump and exquisite sunsets over the Adirondacks. Come experience our little slice of Vermont paradise!
Cross the street in front of the house and you are on the renowned Colchester bike path (part of the Local motion network). Turn left and in less than a mile you are on the historic Colchester Causeway – a four mile walk, run or pedal out into the center of Malletts’ Bay where you can take a ride aboard the (seasonal) bike ferry to South Hero (and the Champlain Islands). Turn right and you are six miles away from Burlington’s Waterfront Park, the Leahy Echo center and downtown Burlington where fun theatre, dining and shopping opportunities can keep you busy for days! Just short walk away from your front door is Colchester’s Airport Park, offering volleyball, soccer and baseball fields, tennis courts, horseshoe pits and ice skating rinks (in the winter months). Feel like staying in? Throw some “shrimp on the barbie”, put your craft beer on ice and catch the sunset while you dine on the deck. Do you enjoy bass fishing or ice fishing? Jump into a kayak or walk the Causeway to the center of Malletts’ Bay, an area noted to offer some of the best bass (Smallmouth and Largemouth) fishing in the country. Lake trout, Salmon, Yellow Perch and Northern Pike are plentiful here as well.
Quiet, safe and friendly neighborhood on Colchester Point. You will meet our neighbors on the shared beach and you will meet visitors from around the world on the Colchester Bike Path.

Furniture includes a new queen size bed, a desk and chair, a rocker, a nightstand and lamp, a bookcase, a flat-screen TV. There is an overhead light and ceiling fan. The entire home is centrally heated and air conditioned. • Marilyn and Mitch are wonderful hosts. Even though we only stayed at theirs for 1 night they really made us feel at home and were very understanding when we arrived late at night. The view from the house overlooking the lake is stunning and the surrounding area is quiet and peaceful. The room was great and bed very comfortable. We highly recommend Marilyn's and Mitch's place for anyone visiting Lake Champlain area.

  • What a wonderful time we had with Mitch and Marilyn. Their "million dollar view" was everything they said it was, the property is lovely and well appointed, our room was perfect and the bed super comfortable. But the best part was our hosts and their pups, we loved the dogs so much and had such fun, and Mitch and Marilyn were wonderful hosts, helpful in directing us on how to use our time and great conversationalists. We really loved our time there and plan to go back.

  • The hosts, the accommodation, the view are all outstanding. Initially Airbnb was about value for me. Now, it is more about the human connection. Something you dont get from corporate accommodations. We loved our stay here and would return in a heartbeat.

  • My wife and I spent just one day with Marilyn and Mitch, but it was an enjoyable experience. They are gracious hosts who go out of the way to make you feel at home in the most beautiful location where the peace and quiet of the environment is priceless. Their home, high above Lake Champlain, wit a view of the Green Mountains, is out of a picture and you wonder if it's real. The peace and quiet is perfect if you want to escape to a place to recharge or read a good book. We hope to return next year to see our new friends, Marilyn and Mitch too. They are gracious hosts and now our friends.

  • This was my second stay with Marilyn and Mitch. I think that speaks for itself that this place was everything and then some that I wanted to go back again. If you're ever in this region, have a car, like dogs, and need a nice place to kick then back this is for you.

  • Marilyn and her husband were great hosts. Their house is beautiful with a superb views of lake Champlain. Room and private bathroom were perfectly clean and comfortable. Great host, great place and cool dogs to play with.We even made a fire, watching the moon and star, after our journey.

  • Truly a "Million Dollar View" from this lovely home. Really enjoyed our visit with Marilyn and Mich - interesting conversation, comfy bed, glorious sunrise over the mountains.
