Places to stay in Port Henry
Spacious, fully furnished 3 bedroom apartment in the heart of historic village in the Adirondacks. Short walk or drive to Lake Champlain beaches and marinas, and easy access to outdoor activities in Keene Valley and Lake Placid, and Vermont.
The apartment is in the heart of the village, and while you can walk to the grocery store, restaurants, and wine shop (among other places) it is at the foothills of the Adirondacks, so most streets are on a steep incline. The apartment is spacious and comfortable for a group but do expect some road noise as it's on a busy street.
Foote's Port Henry Diner is one of the oldest surviving diners in the country, and two blocks from the apartment. Built by Ward & Dickinson in 1926, it has been in the same location in Port Henry (next to the Mac's grocery store) since 1933. It was renovated in 2000 and received an award at that time from Adirondack Architectural Heritage. Don't miss it for breakfast or lunch, open Wed-Sun, 7-2. We also now have a lovely new cafe, in a rehabbed historic building, that is only a block away that serves light meals from 11-9 Thursday through Monday, and 11-2 on Sundays. The cafe features paninis, soups, crepes, and salads, as well as coffee, wine and beer.

She provides the best possible experience a renter could ask for. As far as the house it is beautiful and the view is outstanding. I have stayed twice now at it and would be there right now if I could be. I brought my dog with me and she was very accommodating for him. He loved the house and the lake probably just as much if not more than me. The house is built with only the finest materials. And there is no bad view from inside or out. I really appreciate everything Barb has done for me while I stayed there. And would recommend it to anyone that wants a peaceful getaway. You will not be disappointed in any way shape or form. Thank you again Barb and best wishes... Submitted: May 18, 2015, Chris S. - Rating: 5 STARS Source: HomeAway JUST AMAZING!!!!!! - 5 STARS This was absolutely the best girl getaway ever! Adam Bergeron Burlington, VT Review Submitted January 31, 2011 Date of Stay January 29, 2011 We celebrated my wife's 30th birthday while our son stayed with the grandparents. Our expectations were far exceeded! This place is absolutely beautiful, we can't wait to return! I've rented through Homeaway and VRBO a number of times and this was by far the nicest home we've ever stayed in. From the granite countertops, to the wood floors, to the large windows and huge jacuzzi tub, it was a dream come true for us. A lot of rentals are just that--rentals. This is a home. Oh, and the view???? Out of this world. Rating: 5 STARS! Thank you Barbara, for a great long weekend at your lovely cabin. The weather was ideal. The cabin had everything we needed and more. We both enjoyed the big jacuzzi tub. We sat on the dock and fished and we fell in love with Vermont. The view is amazing and very tranquil. Visiting the local town of Middlebury and the University grounds was very nice also. We can't say enough good things about your place and will be back next September for sure. This home was beautiful. I couldn't have asked for a better week of vacation. We mainly came to the home for the fishing on Lake Champlain. The fishing was amazing. The home was more than anyone could ask for. The views of the lake were fabulous and the home was equipt with pretty much anything you would ever need. It was very hard to leave. This was the perfect getaway (quiet, peaceful, away from it all). I cannot wait to come back and stay in this home again. The hospitality of the owners was great and I have zero complaints about my vacation. I would reccomend this home to anyone. Barb was great with all the details and made us feel very welcome in the wonderful house she built. I was looking for a quiet and cozy place to have a romantic weekend with my significant other and it turned out to be more than what i expected. My wife, 1-year-old and I spent a week in this beautiful place at the end of January. The setting is magnificent, with breathtaking views of lake Champlain and beautiful rural Vermont landscapes. Nearby are local stores and restaurants, and a bit farther away Middlebury is easily accessible. The house itself is beautifully designed and equipped with its wood floors, cathedral ceilings, spacious kitchen, large windows that give on the lake, gas stove to keep things cozy in the winter, jacuzzi, and ping pong/ pool table/ dart board/ games downstairs. There was quite a bit of snow on the ground when we were here, but the house was nice and warm. We walked out onto the lake where people were ice fishing, and went sledding with the baby. The hosts were very welcoming- they baby proofed the electrical outlets for us, left some local specialities for us to try, and gave us lots of pointers. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a house on lake Champlain! Rating: 5 STARS! Leonard Calo New Haven, CT Review Submitted January 31, 2011 Recommended for: Age 55+ , Adventure Seekers , Tourists without a Car , Families with Young Children , Romantic Getaway GREAT ESCAPE! - 5 STARS! We finally had a chance to truly relax in a remarkably beautiful setting. Our charming hosts who live just down the driveway even provided a small basket of Vermont goodies for us when we arrived. Although 6 can indeed fit here, it was perfect for just 2 of us!. There is a bed for 2 in the basement and a bed for 2 upstairs with a magnificent view of the lake. The sleeping loft is in the upstairs bedroom and could sleep two more. You can lie in bed and see the stars through the skylight! The kitchen is very well equipped - a true plus as I do a fair bit of cooking. The lake is steps away and the kayaks and paddle boat were fun to use. The house is light and airy and beautifully maintained. This was my first experience renting a vacation home and I was very impressed with how smoothly everything went. The town of Vergennes is close by and has a great diner called Three Squares. Breakfast is fabulous- supper fresh eggs and delicious bacon! The Maritime Museum, which I thought had great promise....was a disappointing bore....hopefully they will get better in time. Verizon cell reception was very dicey, but the owners tell us that ATT works better. We found we could plug our IPOD into the television and we were able to play all of our own tunes. I recommend this property highly and without reservation. I plan to visit again next year! Rating: 5 STARS! David - Review Submitted October 7, 2010 Date of Stay August 7, 2010 Thank you! We had a wonderful time. Your lovely house was the perfect getaway for us, as would be for so many people. While we enjoyed a week of lounging, lazing, kayaking and cooking in, others could easily enjoy so many other activities, like hiking, swimming, and enjoying the many activities that Middlebury has to offer. The house is gorgeous. The main bedroom, with its breathtaking views and large windows, was like sleeping in a landscape painting. And the master bathroom, with its jacuzzi tub that overlooked the lake, just added to our relaxation. Finally, your own accommodations never failed to make us feel more welcome. Whether it was sharing songs with us on your porch or coming by to make sure that the outlets had safety plugs to ensure that our 1-year old was unharmed, we felt like we were well taken care of. Thank you again for a lovely vacation. It was exactly what we needed. PERFECT GETAWAY! - 5 STARS! My wife and I stayed here over Christmas together with another group of friends. It was one of the best trips we've had. The host Barbara was very helpful and the house was newly built, renovated and everything was perfect! On our way to the house, my car got stuck in the snow and couldn't move up one of the hills in VT. I called Barbara and Barbara immediately offered to help me find an alternate path. Within a few minutes, she got back to me and helped me find my way there. Upon arrival, the house was very clean and well-prepared for our arrival. Dishes were dry, the floor was clean, and everything else was in perfect order. Barbara gave us a tour around the house and introduced us to all the games and activities available. She also gave us a very good introduction to the nearby ski resorts and cities, where we could go for ice fishing etc. The wireless internet signal was also a little weak but Barbara helped to realign the wireless router such that I could get internet access on both floors of the house. The next day, Barbara referred me to a few nearby mechanics so I could get snow tires. When I arrived there they ran out of snow tires and Barbara immediately helped me call up several other stores nearby and when I arrived, I realized that Barbara and even asked them for a special discount on my behalf! We had a really good time. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The house is newly built, so everything is in perfect working order. The jacuzzi on the second floor is superb. But the best thing about this house is its view. Situated by Lake Champlain, it has an amazing view of the lake and the Adirondack Mountains on the other side. We arrived late at night and so we couldn't see the lake, but when we woke up the next morning, all four of us went "WOAHHHHHHH". It's truly insane. We only wished that we went in the summer, for we could not go out boating. Perfect place for a getaway and worth every penny. Rating: 5 STARS! • I can't think of a single thing that could be improved. Barbara thought of everything- from kitchen utensils to board games, the house is stocked with everything you could possible imagine needing. It was sparkling clean. The views are beautiful. It was a perfect romantic get-away! Barbara met us at the door to give a very thorough tour as we arrived. She's friendly and attentive; I immediately felt like I was in good hands. She even gave us a quick billiards lesson! 😆 Can't recommend this place highly enough.

  • My husband and I highly recommend Barbara’s place for your Lake Champlain getaway. The home is beautiful and impeccably clean. The views are magnificent. Barb’s local tips cover all of the must see and do while in Vermont. When not out and about, you can enjoy warmth by the wood burning stove or a table game down in the basement game room. Barb takes pride in her home and makes you feel like a friend upon arrival.

Our inn is just off the main square in the town center. Our cafe downstairs is open Wed-Sat. from 11am to 8pm and we are a few minutes walk to other shops and eateries in town. You’ll love my place because of the coziness, location, new & comfy bed, new commercial grade bathtub, cleanliness, convenient parking, and affordable pricing. Room is perfect for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and small families. Sales tax is included in the rate.
Located in a historic brick building in the center of Port Henry, fully renovated from ground up. The rooms are located on the second floor, accessed via private entrance stairwell. The first floor is occupied by our Red Brick Cafe that offers a selection of beverages, hot paninis, cold sandwiches, crepes (savory or sweet) and pastries. All rooms are equipped with the sprinkler system and a fire alarm.
  • A quiet, convenient room. The room is well lit by natural light during the day and lamps at night, and the room is cozy, conveniently laid-out, and the shower has plenty of hot water. Cafe downstairs serves good tasting food and drinks too.

  • You can’t beat these unbelievable Mountain View’s. It was my boyfriend and I with our 2 dogs. Near tons of hiking, we did Jay mountain it was lovely. There is not much in the town maybe 1 or 2 restaurants, coffee shop and a grocery store, all you need. The apartment includes a kitchenette (has everything you need) a coffee pot and take note the bathroom does not have a shower only a tub (with Epsom salts) so relax and enjoy. This place brought us a lot of peace at a very fair price :)

    Meghan2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay here! No pictures do the breathing views justice. We brought our dog and it was a perfect place for us to wind down from our hectic lives and enjoy the serenity of this property. Kyle (the property manager) was knowledgeable with his recommendations, was easy going and was extremely helpful when our power went out (due to the crazy wind that most of NY was experiencing and of no fault to the property owner & manager). Our highlights included the sights from the living room area and bedroom, the fireplace and the bathtub with bath salts to make for the ultimate R&R getaway. We highly recommend this property any time of year and will be returning!

  • We had such an amazing stay at Elena’s place. The view is just unreal! You see the mountains through the big window in the bedroom when you wake up and at the dining area over your meal. The whole terrace is yours to enjoy the wilderness and the majestic peaks. At night, it’s lit up with little lights and it makes it magical. The place is very clean and so quaint, we didn’t want to leave. The fireplace and the Victorian-style bath tub with bath salts were the pinnacle of our winter getaway. Kyle, the co-host, was exceptionally friendly and prompt with communication. Hoping to come back again when the weather turns. And definitely highly recommend it!

    Elizabethtown, NY, United States

Cozy cottage, man cave, she shed, whatever you call it, it’s a fun space to stay while visiting the Adirondacks! We are located in the middle of 25 miles of mountain biking trails, cross country skiing, hiking and snow shoeing. Elizabethtown has a lot to offer if you want to stay in town, or a quick scoot to many other amazing towns. The cottage is .5-2 miles from 4 access points to the trail networks and we can point you in the right direction if you chose to leave from the house.
The cottage use to be a carport turned flower shop turned meat shop according to the locals. It is an open space with a full bed/daybed and bathroom. Blow up air mattress available as well as a pack and play for the little ones, just let me know ahead of time. Custom made old barn wood daybed, bar top and table. Bathroom custom made with old barn tin roof. Brand new carpet so please keep shoes at the door. Brand new heating unit to keep you warm. TV with spectrum cable service, Hulu, Netflix, hbo and amazon are available from the 50” tv. Mini fridge, tea kettle and slow drip pour over coffee for your convenience. Theres a dart board and pool table if you decide to stay in for the night! As the snow melts you will see that our yard/landscaping projects were not quite done in time for winter and we will be completing them as soon as weather allows this spring! Please excuse the yard!
There’s a plethora of biking, hiking, downhill and cross country skiing, snow showing, golfing and ice climbing within a 45 minute radius. If you need help finding a place to go, we can help but there’s ADKOE (Adirondacks outdoor enthusiast) a few hundred feet down the road that has most up to date info on trail networks and maps and all you may need for your trip.

  • We had a great time! Everything was perfect. The check in was easy. The suite was well decorated and very clean. We did not want to leave. The whole trip I kept thinking about how much better this is than a hotel.

    Lisa2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, great setting, great people. The owners also life in the in the home (other side, not with you) so you get the personal touch of people who care. A definite do-again.

    Gregory2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We found every thing pristine ,when we opened the door we said wow! It lives up to its name ,as Cozy Hollow. Kesta and Mark are truly Super host!

    Samuel2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Mark & Kesta’s place was phenomenal!!! Cute space perfect for mine and my fiancé’s anniversary getaway! Everything was spotless and perfect no complaints at all and definitely will be coming back!

    Alyssa2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Mark and Kesta are incredible hosts! Definitely would recommend to anyone to book your stay at Cozy Hollow! They have everything that you can possibly think of and more! The hot tub was the cherry on top to an incredible Valentines Day weekend.

    Gare2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Mark & Kesta’s place is such a beautiful spot. They are perfectly centralized to so many great locations in Vermont, and they are only about 20-30 minutes from all of them. They went above and beyond making sure to clear the snow when we came. They are extremely friendly and thoughtful. You won’t regret staying here.

    Regan2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Mark & Kesta’s place was perfect! Really cozy and exactly as listed. They were very responsive and gave us lots of good tips for experiencing the area. Would definitely recommend.

    Lane2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Mark and Kesta’s place was lovely. The space was better than described/pictured - it’s obvious a lot of time, care, and creativity went into making the suite what it is today. We appreciated all of the little touches - from the artwork to the popcorn maker, French press, and bottled of water waiting for us when we got in. All of their instructions were super clear, and the notes around the suite were helpful as well. Mark and Kesta provided a bunch of great recommendations for our trip (snowshoeing at Sleepy Hollow, breakfast at Parkside, etc). And to top it all off, the hot tub was AMAZING (especially after a long cold day outside). Mark and Kesta were extremely accommodating and responsive. They made us feel very welcome and our only regret was not booking a longer stay! We’ve already recommended this space to a bunch of our friends, and we will be back in the spring once the weather is a bit warmer!

  • Mary is a gracious host, very helpful, and her place is clean. She provided excellent directions, which helped because our phone service was out and we could not find the house. We have Sprint/Verizon. She is very friendly, and accommodating. I would have liked less of cat smell in my room area. But it is understable, because she posted, she has a dog and cat. Which they were very sweet animals. I would recommend her home for it was a great stay and very comfortable.

    Blury2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Mary is a kind and helpful host. The location is quiet, beautiful and secluded. Excellent place for a getaway and we hope to stay there again in the future!

    Alexandra2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Mary was a great host and very accommodating. Def love the location the cabin is located. Mary had many interesting facts and great suggestions on places to go eat. Cabin was very clean. I would def stay here again!

    Jennifer2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place! Mary is an amazing host, knowledgeable in the local area and has great tips about things to do around the region. Although the cabin is slightly secluded, it was exactly what I was looking for; serene and peaceful.

  • A unique and wonderful stay at Mary! THANK YOU !

    Antoine2018-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Mary went out of her way to help with navigation (bridge out, so Google GPS useless) to her home and was quite accommodating to our late arrival.

    Terry2018-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Mary was a wonderful host. Excellent communication, extremely helpful, very attentive to our comfort. Highly recommended!

    Lori2018-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Mary's log house is the perfect cozy getaway. As a group of six friends, we had a great evening on the outdoor patio of the cabin, making dinner on the outdoor grill. The scenery is stunning: the cabin is at the edge of an open area in the woods (with a few other houses in the distance), so we had a clear view of the night sky, and the morning mist rolling over the forest was beautiful. Mary was a welcoming and helpful host: she joined us for dinner, gave us good advice on hiking in the area, and made a large pot of coffee in the morning! Her dog and cat are both very friendly and well-trained. Fully recommend.

One private bedroom in a cozy, old, family farmhouse in rural Vermont. The community is quiet and rural, but driving distance to many eateries, hikes, and local ski mountains. The private room is in our family home with my husband, daughter, friendly pup, and I! The house is right on our dairy farm which you are welcome to walk around and explore.
Homey, cozy private room with a quirky feel and shared bathroom with stand up shower
Quiet, rural, and very safe neighborhood in a very agriculture-based area
  • We had a wonderful time staying at Suzy’s farm. Her family was warm and welcoming and the accommodations were perfect and clean. I would definitely recommend staying here, especially if you’re looking for a relaxing, idyllic small town location. At one point, we pulled over to the side of our road from our way back to Suzy’s after being in town just to look at the stars, which were more vibrant than I’d ever seen before.

    Francesca2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I don’t think I can overstate our experience. From accommodations to the beauty of the farm, this stay was nothing short of incredible!

    Zeke2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • A good place for those who are tired of living in the city and want to relax in nature! Fresh air and hiking will all make your mood better. A very friendly Dog who will always be happy to play with you. If I can, I will gladly return. Very friendly family who works a lot. Good luck to everyone!

  • Suzy and her husband rob are kind and welcoming people who live on a lovely farm (cows and pigs I believe). Suzy is very responsive and accommodating, she took care of me and my late arrival time with no problem at all! She provided a clean, comfy, relaxing atmosphere to lay my head at night and that’s exactly what I was looking for! I would 100%!stay here again next time I’m in the area.

    Ali2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Suzy and her family welcomed us warmly to their home. It’s a pretty farmhouse surrounded by rural area, as it is said in the description. I was impressed by the transformation of a normal farmhouse in such a cosy home. The room was nice, everything was clean. We could use the kitchen and all their equipment. I can definitely recommend Suzy’s place and I would love to come back! Thanks again Suzy, for your hospitality and the apple puree, it tastes amazing :)

    Rosa2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for five nights and loved the time at the farm and around. It was perfect for our get away. The house is charming with character. We cooked and ate in most days. Suzy and her family were very helpful and accommodating. There was much to explore around. The fresh milk was a big bonus.

This quaint, rustic, one room log cabin was originally built for overflow family during the summer by my father. The cedar logs were cut from our property giving it a truly authentic Adirondack feel. The cabin sleeps 1-3 people. It's located on a large, beautiful piece of property with two main houses, a barn and garage. You are within walking distance to our private swimming hole and beach. There is a horse arena nearby. This is a great location for many attractions in the tourist area.
There is running hot water, electric, toilet, shower, refrigerator, kitchenette, microwave, and Keurig. Towels, flatware, dishes, gas grill. There is also a tv that plays DVDS. We have a trunk with many selections. The bed is a queen bed with a memory foam pillow top mattress. There is no AC, but fans in each window for air flow. There is a fire pit with sitting chairs and an outside hose for cleaning uses and to put fire out. The cabin is located on a big piece of property with 2 other houses, a garage and barn. You will NOT be completely secluded here, but still very much private. Please make sure you understand this before booking! You may see people, you will see horses, and you may see an occasional dirtbike heading into the woods. We occasionally give horseback riding lessons in a nearby arena and have found that our guests love to watch this. We offer kayaks to our guests on a first come, first serve basis. As long as they are down there, you are welcome to use them. The only space shared with anyone is our swimming hole. There are no life guards on duty, please swim at your own risk.
Our cabin is 8 minutes from the village and offers serval restaurants and hiking opportunities. The lake is fun in the summer and fall time is gorgeous here! We are 40 min from Lake George, and an hour from Lake Placid. We are 30 minutes from Keene valley, the famous high peaks, and 20 min from Ticonderoga. We have lived here a long time and know the area very well. If you are looking for something specific, we can help, so let us know!
  • Randi & Liz’ cabin is absolutely amazing and feels like the ‘true adirondack experience’! We loved staying here, eating the homemade granola and watching movies by the fireplace after a long day hiking! Would absolutely recommend!

    Marieke2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is perfect and cozy. The gas fireplace stove creates a nice Adirondack ambiance. We loved the coffee, muffins, granola, and eggs. Thank you for making our anniversary weekend special!

    Adam2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Randi’s cabin is so cozy and comfortable, warm and inviting, that once settled in, I didn’t venture out until I had to depart the following morning. Also, the milk, pancake mix, and other such thoughtful considerations really made me want for nothing during my stay. The only thing I wished for was more time to enjoy this property!

    Lynn2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • The log cabin is very nice and cozy with its secluded location. The fresh eggs, muffins, milk, butter and granola breakfast was tasty and thoughtful. There is a selection of provided DVDs and some good books about the Adirondacks that we enjoyed.

    Kristopher2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • A great environment to “get away” without being too far off of the North way. The cabin is quaint and awesome for couples who want to be in a good proximity to the pharaoh lake region, as well as Schroon lake village. The bed and linens are five star comfy! Randi is very hospitable and appears to be near in case of any issues that could arise. The Campfire is nice as are the small trails. Away without being isolated; rustic, however clean and tasteful. If anything, we wish we had more time to explore!

    Jess2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay. Great host. Very private and quiet

    Arthur2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Randi & Liz were adorable and very attentive to our needs. The cabin is intimate and very warm, nestled in a meadow in the heart of the forest. It is rustic but has everything you need to be comfortable. Randi was kind enough to let us enjoy outdoor games (swing, tree house). We strongly recommend both for the home and the frame! PS: We have discovered beautiful places that we advise you: - Wild Center Museum Seaplane ride on Long Lake -Handled at Pharoa Mountain (plan 3h / 3h30 d ascent with young children)

    Benjamin2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful place hosted by wonderful people. My wife and I enjoyed our anniversary get away so so much. Randi and her family were so welcoming and accommodating they even managed to work out an extra night for us in their near by apartment at the last moment for us! The area is beautiful and our stay had everything we could have asked for and more. Take the chance to visit and stay here before my wife and I reserve it again! :-) - Andrew & Nazreen

The host even had a bottle of wine and chocolate for us. His attention to detail made this place a memorable stay. I will definitely be back.

  • As all reviewers say...fantastic stay. Great communication. Awesome place, perfect for hubby, myself, and our pup (who also loved it there!). Wine and chocolate, mmm! The local chocolate they left us was so good, we ended up stopping at the business to buy some. Very clean, very comfortable. Easily one of the top AirBnB's we've stayed at, and there've been a few. Hope so much to come back!

  • What a magical wonderland of a house! First of all, the view is breathtaking... it inspired all of us to spend more time in the mountains. There were so many thoughtful and quirky things to look at on the walls and we’re a bit obsessed with the soap dish in the upstairs bathroom. For an older house, the heating system was totally modern and easy to use. There was plenty of space for everyone and the porch with the amazing view goes along the entire length of the house. Misha and Randy were super easygoing and communicative, it was a seamless and enjoyable experience.

    Alan2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Misha's house / home was fantastic! We only wish we would have had more than just a weekend to enjoy it! The views, the space, the comfort were all superb. Beds were super comfortable and the rest of the home was inviting in every way. Communication with Misha and Randy was excellent and the flowers on the table when we arrived were an excellent and thoughtful touch! We would not hesitate to come back again!

    Chris2019-08-25T00:00:00Z

  • A big house with a great view of the lake. The house has everything you might need, from BBQ to laundry. Especially the kitchen, which is a bit small, but it has everything you need for good cooking. Hosts were very responsive and any issues were quickly resolved. Would definitely come again. minor downsides relevant for people traveling with toddlers: 1. The house is very decorated and has all kinds of small thingys and memorabilia and stuff. This is very cute but also quite fragile and it was a bit demanding in terms of keeping toddlers form wreaking havoc. 2. The walk to the beach is short but a bit challenging to toddlers so we had to drive there.

  • Misha is an incredible and responsive host, and this place is truly special. A view that can warm the coldest of hearts. We will be returning for sure just for that back porch!

    Matthew2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Misha is the sweetest! She and her husband offer a welcoming home that has gallery-worthy artwork and fun touches everywhere you look. The view from the front porch CANNOT be beat. We visited during the winter and although there are not a ton of spots open in the direct backbite, just a quick ride will get you to beautiful boutiques, exceptional eateries and unique experiences. Misha was so incredibly responsive and we hope to visit during the summer season!

Centered between Lake Champlain and The High Peaks with easy access to all Adirondacks attractions and center of town and I minute away from OTIS Music Festival. My home is good for couples, solo adventurers, and small groups. Many fantastic trails to hike just minutes away. My home has been completely renovated and is quite clean, comfortable, warm and cozy, especially when the fire is burning in the cast iron stove.
The room is 13 by 23ft and with built in draws and ample closet space. My home is surrounded on 3 sides by pristine wilderness and has a spacious yet homey feeling. There is a large kitchen for your use and a separate dining room. The room has two double beds( one is a futon which converts into a double bed). There is also a mini fridge and a dresser if you were planning on a longer stay. There is also air conditioning and two lighted ceiling fans. This is a sober household and your host does not imbibe in any alcoholic beverages of any kind, so being mindful of that is greatly appreciated thank you.
Elizabethtown(E'Town for Short) is the main town in Essex County with many basic amenities and some good restaurants 1 minutes drive or a short walk if that please you. E'Town really is located in an area which allows you to easily get to Lake Champlain, Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. Is is a 36 mile drive to Plattsburg and 1 and a half hours drive to Montreal Canada.
  • Thanks for being a great host, Pete! I would really recommend this place for visiting the High Peaks Wilderness. Lots of space in the bedroom, with two beds. Friendly cats and cool houseplants are nice added benefits. I would come back next time I'm up here.

    Roman2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Peter's space is arguably the best value we've had for an Airbnb before. Its proximity to everything in the Adirondacks, the space itself, the amenities, and Peter himself all make this a great spot.

    Mike2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy space, comfortable bed, friendly host and great price. Highly recommend!

    Katie2020-02-26T00:00:00Z

  • Roomy. Quiet. Peter has a very nice cat. I would stay again. 10/10

  • Much larger space than expected and nice to have our own private bathroom. Very easy check-in, fast responses, and seems to be the type of guy who will be as involved in your stay as you want.

    Becca2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Peter was SUCH a great host. We were initially booked at another lodge for the long weekend but had to leave after a very cold and uncomfortable night, and were SO lucky to find this place. The space is huge, extremely homey feeling, and WARM. The beds are SO cozy. It was very easy to use the kitchen and shower. And most of all, it was so nice and easy to talk with Peter, who is a great listener and a lovely person. I would definitely stay here again.

    Tatiana2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfy, homelike setting, and Peters cats are so sweet and friendly. The store is adorable too ... definitely visit there too if possible.

Equipped kitchen, comfortable bed/bath, and cozy with a fireplace and wood provided. Kate and Richard were available with ideas for the local area and accommodating to us as their guests. Would stay again without a doubt!

Fondly known as "Chateau Versailles" this large home sits on a hill on Spring Street with gorgeous Lake Champlain and Green Mountain views. The house is also a gallery space for the renowned photography of your host Peter and is filled with other art as well. The house has a huge library/sitting/common room with gas fireplace. the guest rooms and much of the house have recently been tastefully renovated. Tons of off street parking with the capability to handle trailers, boats and Rvs.
Bedroom 1 is on the ground floor with a Queen bed and adjacent full bath. The house has high speed wireless internet and rooms with smart tvs. Small well behaved dogs 20lbs and under are welcome. Larger dogs are considered depending on size and breed. Property has a monitored security system host can access 24/7.
Spring Street is often referred as the nicest street in Port Henry with friendly helpful neighbors. Many locals walk this street for exercise daily and it is a very pet friendly neighborhood. It is a five minute walk into town where restaurants, groceries, pharmacy, bank, and library can be found. It is a 2 minute drive to our great marina and beach.
  • Peter's home was a great place for us to stay while visiting both Vermont and the Adirondacks. The space is lovely, large and very clean - we especially appreciated the views of Lake Champlain and the cozy fireplace! Peter (and his puppy Rocky) is such a friendly host and very helpful with suggestions on the area.

    Christina2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cozy house with an amazing view on Lake Champlain, we really fell in love with that place! Peter is a great host and Rocky is an adorable playful puppy. We would definitly go back!

    Stephanie2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Peter’s home was absolutely fantastic. His home is gorgeous, with an incredible view of the lake inside and out, and the bedroom and bathroom are lovely and so clean. Peter has fantastic tips about the area — everything he recommended was amazing. His dog Rocky is precious, but do heed Peter’s warning: if the door is open, the dog WILL take your shoes and/or anything else that’s out. We stayed here to visit both Middlebury VT and Lake Placid NY, and it was a perfect location between them with its own perks, like the local diner (Peter’s suggestion) & the lighthouse & fort. Not to mention the incredible views of the lake. Would absolutely recommend staying here, and hope to return!

    Heather2019-10-06T00:00:00Z

  • Peter is a friendly, helpful, responsive, and accommodating host. The house is spacious, sparkling clean, light-filled, and views to the lake. There are several amenities and small accommodations that help you feel at home on your trip away.

This cozy, private one-bedroom two-level Victorian carriage house is down the street from the Middlebury Inn. A short walk downtown Middlebury in one direction or fields and woods in the other, this is a comfortable and charming retreat in a great location.
The carriage house is a separate building adjacent to our private home. The first level includes a bathroom with a shower, and an eating area with a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker and cute drop-leaf table. Upstairs is a large open area with a comfortable queen-size bed and a living area with a couch, chairs, cable tv and desk. This space has is ideal for two people. For additional guests, we can provide an air mattress in the same large room as the bed. (Please note that we do not automatically set up the air mattress for bookings for two guests. If you wish to request it, please message us. We charge an additional $20/day for bookings that use the air mattress.) Note: There have been a few minor changes to the furnishings since these photos were taken.
The property is in a fantastic location. It is less than a quarter mile to the grocery store, natural foods co-op, laundry mat, and Bagel Shop. It's only a quarter mile more into downtown Middlebury, which has lovely shops, restaurants and bars. Keep walking and you'll arrive at Middlebury College, which is one mile from our house. Our house is also a quarter of a mile from two different trail heads of the Trail Around Middlebury (TAM), an 18 mile walking path around our town. You can easily take a 3 mile hike directly from your door and enjoy the woods and views from Chipman Hill.
  • Very comfortable and clean, great location. We would stay there again.

  • My husband and I loved staying here for a few days. The space has real charm - kind of a funky arrangement with the bathroom & kitchen-like facilities downstairs, but very cozy and comfortable. Caitlin & Andy are great, laid-back hosts & there was lots of good local information provided. We enjoyed our stay in Middlebury and would recommend a stop at the excellent Art Museum at the College. It's free!

    Anne2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • This place was wonderful! I stayed in the dead of winter when the temps dipped below freezing. The space was warm and the shower was hot. And the bed was so very comfortable. The hosts also provided a variety of Keurig coffee and teas, cream in the fridge, plates and utensils, etc. There is even an induction stove top (that I didn't use). And the location in Middlebury was perfect. I appreciated my host coming out to greet me and offer local restaurant tips, etc. She was so friendly. Perfect stay.

    Craig2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • I found the Carriage House an ideal location for a long weekend in Middlebury. The interior is beautifully restored and sparkling clean. It is comfortable yet stylish and very close to downtown Middlebury and the college. I have already booked my next stay and in the Spring.

  • We booked a last-minute getaway to relax, and this stay went above all expectations. You can hear the river following below this perfect little cabin. The location is close to so many amazing hikes (we didn't consider hiking, but the resources provided by Don and Hrvoje convinced us). It is also SO easy to get to the house. The linen, dishes, and all the details made our stay so cozy. We loved all the touches. It almost felt like staying in Europe. The hosts have great communication, even the suggestion to download the directions before getting close was so helpful. Lastly, it's such a pleasure to stay in a dog friendly airbnb. Our two dogs were in heaven!!! We would love to come back!! Thank you so much for a great mini vacation!!!

  • So so gorgeous! This place was just amazing. The perfect place to spend a few days away from it all!

    Kathryn2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Don and Hrvoje have been so kind and were so helpful throughout our stay. The location is incredible with a bit of a rustic feel. The home is beautiful with a great scenery. The pictures do not do this place justice, it is far more magical than anything I’ve ever stayed in before. I would recommend for everyone to stay here at least once. ❤️

    Savannah2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a lovely getaway. The views are amazing, and the setting is private enough to enjoy the natural beauty, but close enough to larger towns if people want to have a little more 'civilization.' The house is even nicer than the photos. There's so many small touches (homemade pottery, stylish furniture, well-appointed kitchen, beautiful artwork) that really make the place feel special. Also, we arrived in the aftermath of a huge snowstorm that took power out for 80,000 homes, but Don and Hrvoje have a generator so we weren't affected in the least. The house was toasty and inviting - a welcome respite after the long drive. I loved seeing the snow in the treetops and on the mountains outside the window, and imagine the other seasons are just as gorgeous. Finally, they were very accommodating for our dog - and even left her dog treats. Really thoughtful and lovely accommodation.

    Jessie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A very clean and well put together cabin. The space is perfect for four and we all had a great time. Very centrally located to a lot of things if you’re willing to drive a bit otherwise there’s plenty in town and near by!

The River Cabin is a simple but beautiful original log home that has a gorgeous view of Schroon River and Schroon Falls. It is privately located on a quiet lot but also only 200 feet off of Route 9. This cabin was built in 1977, by our family. It has access to a private swimming hole where you can kayak, swim, fish or just hang out. This cabin has a full kitchen, living room with propane fire place, 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. The basement has a unique game room with poker table and bar.
The River Cabin was built by my grandfather and provides a "Adirondack feel" due to its authentic logs and design. You will enjoy the private location that the River Cabin offers, but also like that it is only 5 miles from the Village of Schroon Lake. Gore Mountain is only 40 minutes away and Whiteface Mountain is 50 minutes away; it's a great place to stay for ski season!! Guests can enjoy an outdoor fire pit, fire wood is provided for our guests at no extra change. The fire pit is not available during the winter months, as it is covered in snow.
The River Cabin sits on 2.3 acres and over looks Schroon River and Schroon Falls. The driveway along the river is shared by my brother, the River Cabin, and a small camp in the woods. My brother lives next door, and you will occasionally see him and his family drive by, during the summer months. The River Cabin is unique in the fact that it is extremely private, yet only minutes to I-87 and approximately 100 yards off of route 9. The property is quiet, however there is some minimal road noise. The is a great location because it is conveniently close to route 9 and I-87, but please be aware that because of this you will hear some minimal road noise when you are outside. The cabin has views of the river throughout. The River Cabin is also close to town (approximately 5 miles). Schroon Lake has a beautiful town beach, tennis courts and basketball courts as well as a golf course. There are some great restaurants in town as well. Gore Mountain Ski Area is approximately 40 minutes away and Lake Placid (Whiteface Mountain) is approximately 50 minutes away. The historical towns of Lake George (40 minutes) and Ticonderoga (20 minutes) are close and great to visit. * Keene Valley, home of the Adirondack High Peaks, is approximately 20 minutes from the cabin. If you are a hiker, the location of the River Cabin makes access to the high peak trails very convenient.
  • Bonnie's place exceeded our expectations. It was clean and had everything we needed, making our trip near-perfect!

    Christopher2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place! Bonnie's cabin is really charming in a vintage authentic style. The river is splendid with a nice walk across the road. The house is perfectly clean and the kitchen is well equipped (no spices/sauce or other basics so bring all you need to cook). Communication with Bonnie was really easy. For people with young children, just note that the 3 bedrooms are at 3 different levels, and the twin beds are in the basement.

    Marine2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was splendid! It was a clean, authentic ADK cabin; appropriately rustic with scenic views and all of the creature comforts of home.

    Kelly2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The house was amazing in every way. Such a perfect setting and if You are looking for a true Adirondack cabin I can’t think of how anything could possibly be better.

  • A lovely log cabin great for kids (who might like sledding right outside the backdoor in winter), and well situated for exploring all the Adirondacks have to offer.

    Chris2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • I took my boyfriend here as a Valentine’s Day gift- he’s very outdoorsy, and me... not so much. I was definitely prepared to feel out of my element, but both Bonnie and the cabin were warm and inviting. This is a perfect place to relax and spend quality time with those you love. Everything was clean, tidy, and cozy (no easy feat, considering it was -11 degrees outside!). Bonnie showed us around, told us everything we needed to know, and provided everything we needed. We spent most of the weekend in, and never felt cooped up or bored. I would definitely recommend!

Our guest cottage is set back in the woods and offers a great respite for those looking to get away from it all. Located on 25 acres, the property offers a tranquil wooded retreat as well as stellar views of the Adirondack peaks.
It is a 2-story cottage with a living room, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. There are two covered porches, one screened-in and the other one open. There are two dining areas, on the screened porch and in the living room - there is also a back patio for grilling. We do not have air conditioning, however the cottage stays very cool given the elevation and forested surroundings. Heat is available for visitors coming during the fall months. The cottage sleeps three people comfortably - there is one queen bed and a twin-size daybed available. We will gladly accept up to 3 additional guests for the space, however they will be responsible for bringing their own sleeping arrangement (i.e., air mattresses, cots, hammock, tents, etc.) If you are looking to book a larger group, you could also consider renting our other listed space, ADK Mountain View, in addition to this space. It is located on this same property, about 30 yards away.
We are located in the heart of Essex County, NY, at the entrance of the High Peaks region of the Adirondacks. It is a premier location for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts, offering quick access to all-season activities including hiking and biking trails, swimming and boating spots, and even a few small beaches. If you're just looking to lay low, but still get out, check out our local restaurants and pubs!
  • Our family had a great time at Elena's cottage. The leaves were turning and the mountain views were stunning. We enjoyed walking around the property with our dog. The cottage was cozy and clean. Not one - but two porch areas. One with adirondack chairs and one with a table + chairs. We weren't entirely prepared for there not to be a shower - but taking baths ended up being just fine. Communication was great leading up to our trip. And we really enjoyed our chats with Elena. Especially our 5 year old Henry - who had a lot of questions for her about frogs and pond maintenance, etc. We would definitely go back.

  • Cozy cottage on a stunning property. We went in the fall and still had a great stay even though it was too cold to spend time outdoors. No shower or tv, but there is a tub with lovely touches like a selection of bath salts. Heating was a bit spotty (no heating unit in the master bedroom), but overall we were very comfortable.

    Emily2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Really cute cottage. Separate from main house. We had some problem finding the address on google maps which lead us to The Elizabeth fire station which is adjacent to and around the corner of the 25 acre lot that cottage is on. One very minor issue. There were no dish towels so we ended up drying dishes with paper towels which there was plenty of, supplied by host. Other than those little things, our overall stay was excellent. Both beds very comfortable with interior design done in beautifully rustic Adirondack style. Host greeted us upon arrival. He was very pleasant and gave us the tour of the cottage upon arrival.

  • The house was perfectly clean and beautiful. We had an amazing stay in the house of Elena. They left for our arrival a lot of little touch of attention that we appreciate so much. I totally recommend this airbnb.

    Gabrielle2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful vacation at Elena's place! Large, rustic cabin in the woods with all the amenities needed...stocked kitchen, comfy bed, large bathroom (huge bathtub!), cozy living room, and the porches offer a great view. Very peaceful and private, yet close to outdoor adventures and local shops/restaurants. Host gave good reccomendations of places to go and communicated quickly. The hospitality was excellent. Highly recommend!

    Gabrielle2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was as expected. Very good communication and great advices for trips.

  • Sarah's place is a cozy bungalow situated right on a creek. The location is perfect if you do not want to be too secluded. You are just minutes from Elizabethtown and about 15 minutes from Keene, Keene Valley, and some amazing hikes in the high peaks region! The space itself is well equipped with everything you would need. Huge bonus that she allows dogs as many places don't. Despite this, the place is very clean and you would have no idea that dogs have stayed there. Sarah is a thoughtful host. When we arrived there were fresh eggs in the fridge and some donuts on the table. She was very quick to respond to messages and checking in/out was a breeze. We really enjoyed our stay!

    Derek2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay, we hope to stay here again in the future! House is warm and cozy and it has a beautiful view of the river which was very nice to listen to. It was the perfect place to relax after hiking.

    Jacob2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was adorable and the perfect size for the "4" of us (2 adults and our 2 dogs). The location on the river was so relaxing. It was far enough away from the town to enjoy nature, but still very close to gas stations, and convenience stores for small grocery items. There were so many things to do, like museums and hiking trails that we just could not have done in one weekend. We will have to come back soon!

    Ashley2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was everything we needed and exactly as described. Sarah communicated promptly and we had no issues. There are plenty of supplies, and nice touches like extra blankets, Kleenex, eggs, and materials to read about the Adirondacks. We loved sitting outside or on the small couch listening to the river. The location is perfect for hikes, paddling, and other high peak fun.

    Anna2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great ADK cabin near Keene and Giant Mountain. Lots of thoughtful extras, a beautiful river, and sparkling clean while being dog friendly. There is no ATT wireless so be sure and save directions and instructions before you go! Grocery etc just down the road and Sarah was great about communication. We will be back for more mountains.

    Elizabeth2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute cabin on the edge of etown!

    Hedy2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had an awesome time at the cabin! It was perfect for our family of four. Our little boys had a blast playing in the river and my husband and I loved enjoying our coffee outside while they played. The location is perfect for exploring the beautiful Adirondacks but outside of town enough to enjoy some solitude and lower prices.

    LeAnne2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great location lots of hiking and small town amenities close by. It was peaceful sitting and watching the river. The place is clean, comfortable, and has a good DVD collection if it happens to rain. I would highly recommend it.

Are you looking for a rustic Adirondack style cabin? Look no further! This 3.3 acred get-away is the perfect spot to unplug and relax; no cell phone service on site, no wifi or TV. Listen to the AM/FM radio and nature, especially the brook running right through the property and only feet from the outside 24 x10 porch. Moving along, next is the full bathroom and then the two bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed and bunkbed perfect for kids. For warm summer days, the house has 3 ceiling fans and 2 box fans to cool things down.

However, things are close: Beach on Lake Champlain - 8 miles Fort Crown Point - 8 miles Connivence Store/Restaurant/Ice Cream shop - 2.3 miles Fort Ticonderoga - 9.2 miles Lake George Access - 8.7 miles Vermont - 8.4 miles
  • Space is as described, off the grid with no cell service. Nice kitchen and common area. Backyard / deck is great to as is fire pit and nature paths directly connected to house. Water and surrounding area made for a pleasant stay away from city life

  • A tucked away little get away! This is perfect for people who want to unwind and relax and go off the grid a bit!

  • William’s place was what I expected. It was very relaxing and full of natural beauty!!

    Shannon2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved it here. It was very relaxing and a great place to unplug. My kids enjoyed playing in the creek and waterfall. It was everything you could want in a rustic camp. Thanks again.

    Amber2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place to detach from electronics and bond with friends and or family. We loved it.

    Lhachi2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time staying at Bill & Harry’s place. Our family enjoyed the property so much, we knew we had to go back this year. It was honestly meant to be; we hadn’t planned too far in advance & were afraid it would be booked up. We lucked out, and had another restful, relaxing & grounding family vacation! This is the perfect place to disconnect from the chaos of your usual weekly hustle, and show your kids that there is WAY more fun to be had in nature vs their fixation with daily electronics and the online world.

    Holly2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was a wonderful experience. The brook and waterfall are beautiful and many great sights to see nearby. I hope to head back that way soon since there’s just too much to see and do for one trip! I highly recommend heading a short distance walking across the Lake Champlain Bridge into VT, the view from the top was stunning.

    Tiffiny2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as advertised!!! A nice rustic cabin with an amazing brook to both start and end your day. Loved starting the day on the deck drinking my cup of coffee listening to it and falling asleep hearing it out the bedroom window. There is a great deal to do within an hour radius and recommend researching areas of interest before going. Highly recommend the glass blowing experience with Annie in Mineville. Restaurant-Olive Ti Pi for good Italian: apps, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, and salads Points of Interest-Fort Ticonderoga, Fort Williams for the ghost tour, and Gunnison Orchards: nice gift shop with amazing homemade baked goods

  • Chenoa was a wonderfully gracious host who greeted us warmly upon arrival. The carriage house was stylish, sparkling clean, and had thoughtful touches throughout--all the household necessities were provided for, right down to the playing cards, matches, and scissors neatly organized in the kitchen drawer. We'd love to come back with our young children to take advantage of the tree house!

  • This place is amazing ! We loved every minute of our stay, from the heated floors to the sunny shower to the comfortable bed. We didn't get to meet Gabriel and Chenoa during our stay but they were outstanding hosts.

Approximately 10 minutes into main town of Middlebury with quaint restaurants. Gabriel & Chenoa were very responsive and were very accommodating. We highly recommend.

The layout and the tall windows on the main floor allowed for great lighting. Definitely recommend if your looking for a relaxing spot that has everything you need!

Homey, cozy room in the upstairs of our 1700's farmhouse with a quirky family touch, shared bathroom with stand up shower
Our neighborhood is quiet and rural with a very agriculture-based feel.
  • A lovely place to stay! Suzy and Rob were wonderful, kind hosts, and we loved meeting Zee. We were even able to buy some (very affordably-priced) beef from The Pork Shop. We’d definitely stay again!

    Denise2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Suzy’s place was great, she was very welcoming and the room was great! I loved staying on the farm

    Maddie2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Quirky, warm and cozy farm house stay. Highly recommended and great value. Suzy and Rob are wonderful hosts and fine people. And if you like dogs, you’ll love Zee. Memorable stay.

    Michael2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • 2nd stay here, same as the first. Its a working Dairy farm so it’s exactly as expected. Cool farm house with an at home feeling. The hosts are busy working but make plenty of time to be available if needed. Location is awesome, the view is unreal and the local store is super close and has everything you need. A+++ room was clean and comfy. Ps, if you throw the tennis ball for the farm dog Zee, he will retrieve all day long. Your arm will give up before Zee does.

    Joe2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great rural farmhouse to stay at. Quiet with beautiful views all around. Suzy was a good host with a nice family. Would stay again.

    Nathan2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • After reading reviews of visitors to Bob and Suzy's home I was not surprised with my stay. It's a working farm on acres and acres of farmland. If that doesn't appeal to you go someplace else. If it does, you will be greeted by friends you've never met before. Your room will be clean and you'll sleep well in a comfortable bed. While dreaming, put the lives of the people who lived in that area of the house since before the United States existed.

    Stuart2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Suzy was very friendly, the place had her unique touches! Happy to go back when we are in the area!

    Bernadette2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I travel quite a bit and have stayed at plenty of Airbnb properties and this was one of the best experiences we have had. First, this is a farm. It's not glamorous but the bed is comfortable and the private room and shared bath were very clean. We had use of their kitchen and deck and enjoyed visiting the calves and meeting some of the friendly staff. Coffee was available and we even got to add a little fresh milk to our coffee! (I drink my coffee black but just had to try it with the fresh milk - it was great!) What made this experience so wonderful for us was the hospitality and welcome we received from both Suzy and Rob. Our second morning the four of us chatted in their kitchen over coffee and it honestly felt like we were visiting with old friends. We might even try to come back in the next week or two and bring kayaks so we can check out more of the area. This is a great Airbnb experience and I highly recommend staying here.

Escape to the country at Stoneledge Farm, a restored organic farm on Lake Champlain. The separate unit features an open-plan layout living area, exposed architectural wood beams, pops of color, chic furnishings and decor, and lake views.
We welcome our guests with hotel quality towels, bed linens and bathroom toiletries. The kitchen is stocked with fresh eggs from our chickens, local milk and VT Coffee!
The property is located in the country, home to dirt roads, lush fields, and beautiful views, but is conveniently located just 15-20 minutes from several quaint small towns.
  • This little house is super charming with so much character! We had a wonderful time walking around the area and it is convenient to both Middlebury and Burlington. Mika made us (and our baby and our dog) feel very welcome. She had great suggestions for restaurants and things to do in the area. We also really enjoyed the fresh eggs from her chickens!

    Rachel2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time at Mika’s cottage. The property is beautiful and everything was clean. The hosts went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. We will definitely be back!

    Dave2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • I care here with my fiancée and almost 2 year old lab and we felt like we were in paradise. Everything couldn’t have been more perfect. From a super easy check in process, all the amenities and comforts you need to feel at home, tons and tons of amazing suggestions of things to do, this was just one of the best stays we’ve had. Mika, her family, and housekeeper Sara went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. The fresh eggs are amazing! We took the recommendation to hike Mt Philo and couldn’t agree more. The best part of the trip was just staying in the property and spending time outside with our pup and all the sheep, gots, llamas and chickens. A perfect place to come with your dog for sure. All in all, we are definitely coming back if this place is available again. 10/10!

    Adnan2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous property! The cabin has beautiful views of the woods/Camel’s Hump/lake. Thoughtfully decorated and very comfortable bed. We visited with an infant and a dog and had enough space for a large dog crate and a pack & play. The bathroom door in the bedroom doesn’t close - it wasn’t a big deal to us but it might be to other guests. We also couldn’t figure out how to close the door between the master bedroom & the living room. Kitchen is well stocked - there’s only 1 burner (hot plate). Plenty of plates/cutlery/cooking tools. Toaster & oven available. The cabin was very warm throughout our stay. Mika provided a lot of wonderful local suggestions of things to do and she was available via text throughout our stay (she responded very quickly). The cabin is close to the main house - consider this if you want complete privacy. Approximately 30 min from Burlington. I strongly recommend this stay if you’re looking for a modern farmhouse feel near Lake Champlain!

    Sofía2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Mika (+ Animal Friends), Thank you so much for sharing your slice of paradise with us. We adored every detail, and the thoughtful gestures of great hospitality around the property and cottage were flawless- you're a true hostess. Kept your animal family well loved and fed- even enjoyed some farm chores when straw bales was delivered, walked with the sheep out to pasture in the snow and gathered eggs. Already missing the beautiful winter sunsets - but looking forward to our return, hopefully in the summertime. Thank you for allowing us to get some rest in this truly peaceful place! 'til soon, Katie & Meg

    Katie2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Mika's farm is a wonderful place to stay. Gorgeous scenery and the guest cottage is lovely. It is very clean and you have everything you need. We will definitely be going back.

    Casey2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Mika's place was wonderful! Mika herself was very personable. We enjoyed that it's on a farm and that she encouraged us to interact with the animals, which our 1 year old loved. Also loved that we were allowed to bring our 1 year old as he was not allowed in some of our other inquiries. Location is great for guests looking to be off the beaten path but still close enough ( by car) to a town to gather necessities. Beautiful lake within walking distance. Cottage looked exactly as pictured with many games and a selection of classic novels to keep anyone busy. There is a thermostat in almost all rooms! Big plus! You also get fresh organic eggs from her farm with your stay. The bed was super comfortable. Personal amenities, shampoo etc are all plant based! Kitchen is well equipped with all the necessities you need to prepare a meal, pots, pans, knives, microwave, toasted oven, fridge, you name it. There are even a few food items included. TV has lots of channels. Overall it was exactly what we were looking for, would definitely go back!

    Sherone2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I had a wonderful weekend at this beautiful Vermont farmhouse. Even on a frigid weekend the place felt warm and like home after a busy day. Mika was always responsive and very thoughtful with the decorations and little touches such as fresh eggs and chocolate. We will definitely be back to see how different the farm looks in the summer! Absolutely recommend a stay at this unique homestead.

  • We stayed at Annie's place for 3 nights, there was a big kitchen to cook, washer machine, that for our trip was very good. The place is a little bit than an hour from Burlington, and alot of factories of Vermont. Near the place in New York state there are alot of short hikes, very beautiful and nice.

  • It feels like staying in the home of a long lost relative; Not only cozy and comfortable, but cupboards were packed with an abundance of healthy and delicious foods as well as local fruits and veggies. Great location next to many beautiful nature spots. Annie also has the inside scoop on all the things or places you might want to visit and was a gracious, warm and extremely hospitable host, Whom is also a talented artist.

    Sandra2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Annie is super friendly and easy to communicate with. The place is a small downstairs apartment in Mineville. There was plenty of space for the two of us and our dog, and there were tons of snacks if we needed them. The bed was very firm, so be aware of that if you need a soft mattress.

    Megan2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Ann is an amazing host and a talented glassblowing artist. The place had everything we needed and was comfortable. I really enjoyed the workshop, do not miss! • Les, Jenny, and Bill were all gracious hosts. Real salt of the earth types. They let us bottle feed their baby alpaca and play with their new puppy! We were given free range of their property, giving us a chance to enjoy their livestock and the beautiful sunset over the Adirondacks. The room itself was cute, cozy, and lavished with plush towels and an array of bedding. The house was equally lovely with thoughtful touches and decorations. It was warm, inviting, and authentically lived in. Overall a very charming weekend!

  • My husband and I (along with our two dogs) stayed at Les and Jenny’s farm house over a four day weekend. Jen and Les were wonderful hosts, going above and beyond to ensure that all our needs were met. Their farm is absolutely beautiful! We enjoyed our morning walks with views of the alpacas, cows, and hens. The farmhouse itself was very clean, cozy, and warm. We loved everything about our stay, including the friendliness and availability of the hosts, the indoor decor, the smell of vanilla candle and fresh baked brownies, the warmth of the wood burning stove, the scenic views of farmland, and the character of all the animals on the farm. We highly recommend staying with Les and Jenny!

Apartment in newer home in a quiet country setting. Spectacular views with many attractions and activities nearby. The apartment is the lower level walkout basement of our home with plenty of light and ambiance. There is a queen bed in the bedroom, a comfortable queen pullout couch, and another full sized couch. The full kitchen is stocked with lots of dishes, pans, utensils, appliances and basic recipe ingredients and condiments to make preparing meals a breeze. Relax and enjoy the property nestled in 12+ acres of meadows (through which are mowed paths for walking and/or snowshoeing) and a partially wooded area that abuts Otter Creek. The Creek is great for fishing and kayaking and there is a public picnic area a short walk from the property. There are plenty of other creeks, ponds and lakes within short driving distance for water recreation activities as well. Wildlife abounds and sightings of our nearby nesting Eagles, Ospreys, Herons and many other birds and animals occur on a pretty regular basis. Our quiet pastoral roads are wonderful for biking and many short and extended biking tours of the state go right through our community.

  • Christine's accommodations are perfect! The apartment was extremely neat and clean! Christine provided detailed orientation and welcomed us with a cinnamon coffee cake (that was delicious)! She even left dog bones for our dog that accompanied us. Christine also had a refrigerator full of breakfast foods for our choosing and everything you could need to cook or bake for yourself. She is a wonderful host with a beautiful property and wonderful accommodations! We look forward to our next visit there! We highly recommend staying at Christine's daylight apartment!

  • We had a great time! The space was much larger than we were expecting, and the stocked fridge/pantry was a really nice touch! Would definitely recommend!

  • This is a great place! We stayed during a unexpected snowstorm and they were kind enough to give us both spots in their garage for our cars, shovel us out in the morning, and check in several times. The kitchen is so well stocked, which was perfect for breakfast on a snowed-in morning. Overall, amazing hosts!

A sample of one of our guests “Sharing Thoughts” from our guest book: “Our brief stay was made perfect by the nicely decorated, and well thought out accommodations hidden on this hill. Naomi + Brian go above + beyond all expectations! The view + foosball table are a great bonus. We will definitely be back. Investing in small business is important to us. Highly recommend this hidden gem … best pumpkin bread ever.
  • Clean, quiet, all the amenities, and a fantastic view ... couldn’t ask for more than that.

  • Brian and Naomis apartment is situated 15 min west of Middlebury and the drive to town is just lovely! The place is super clean, has modern furniture and lovely finishes and you even get greeted by a yummy baked treat and chocolate milk in the fridge! Our son loved the foosball table and played his Dad every night. We even went skiing in Lake Placid from here which was a beautiful drive as well. A wonderful experience, thank you Brian and Naomi!

  • This is a comfortable and clean apartment stocked with all the basic amenities. We didn't meet the hosts in person but they were welcoming and good with communications. All and all a great place to stay. There is a beautiful view of the Adirondack Mountains, too!

  • Brian and Naomi's place was great. We stayed as a group of friends over the weekend for a Middlebury winter graduation and it was perfect. Brian & Naomi were super easy to communicate with, provided details for a seamless checkin and left great touches like the delicious pumpkin bread and chocolate milk. The apartment itself is clean, has lots of light in the living room and offered plenty of space for the three of us. We would definitely stay here again!

  • The Eagle's Nest is by far one of the best AirBnbs my husband and I have stayed at. The space is clean, well decorated, and the hosts have provided thoughtful touches all around. The apartment has a great view of the Adirondacks, which is beautiful for any season. We were pleasantly surprised to see our car shovelled out after a snowstorm. Another bonus- Their pumpkin bread is delicious! We hope to visit again.
