  • Great location with abundant space. Very close to a grocery store so it was convenient to cook meals there and spend some quality time with friends. Also lots of board games!

  • This was an adorable rental, the patio had an amazing view. I was really happy.

  • This was such s tranquil spot. We thoroughlyloved it after some crazy working months... great spot to slow down.

  • This is a beautiful spot where you can sit on the patio for breakfast and your coffee overlooking the bay with the Marina of sailboats to one side. The place is very clean, everything we needed and private bathrooms for both bedrooms! Was a delight to stay here and not far to anywhere we wanted to go!

  • We had such a lovely time, thank you! We actually rented this house as well as one just down the street for a family of 10. Although this house may not be the most stylish space, it was certainly comfortable and definitely fit our needs. The best part of the house was the beach access and the beautiful sunsets and views of the bay. The beach was rocky and full of crabs and other creatures so not ideal for lounging necessarily, but definitely fun to explore. Thanks again!

    Joy2019-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here! The views are amazing and the condo layout was perfect for my grandmother to have privacy while staying with my husband and I. Highly recommend this place. Customer service was excellent!

  • I will definitely consider rebooking vacasa in port hadlock again in the summer. 20 min from Port Townsend. A magical victorian town with the nicest people. Vacasa water view was amazing! We were able to watch nye fireworks from across the water! The place was cozy and equipped with fun games and cool 1970s amenities. We absolutely enjoyed our stay. Place was tidy, clean, comfy couches, nice windows over looking the ocean.

Stay at a quiet cabin in the woods this summer! Rustic 8 sided cabin close to attractions of the Olympic Peninsula. Centrally located for visits to the Victorian seaport of Port Townsend, beaches, hikes, local wineries and organic farms. Sleeps 2 comfortably, maximum 2. Full kitchen with dishes, cutlery and basic cooking utensils. Wonderful claw foot tub, no shower, bedding and two sets of linens are provided.
This quiet, unique cabin offers an opportunity to experience a slower pace in a rural environment close to a wide variety of activities. Guests can explore nature, enjoy organic foods and a vibrant arts community nearby. The cabin is across the road from where writer Betty McDonald lived circa 1930 and was the inspiration for her best seller, "The Egg and I". This humorous memoir was later adapted for the Ma and Pa Kettle movies. This is a studio space with comfortable queen bed and memory foam twin bed in the small sleeping loft. The ladder to the loft is straight up and not an easy climb for everyone! The loft is not appropriate for children under 12 and older or disabled adults.
Rural location between the farming valleys of Chimacum. Some people enjoy riding bikes to the farmer's market on Sundays or stopping at the farm stand during the week. There are tasting rooms at local ciderys within a few miles of the cabin. The immediate surroundings are heavily wooded and there are three rustic cabins set among the trees on this park like acreage. A wonderful place for a creative retreat. Close to attractions of Olympic Peninsula and cultural activities in Port Townsend but quiet and relaxed. The "Treehaven Cabin" offers an opportunity to experience a slower pace in a rural environment close to a wide variety of activities. Guests can explore nature, enjoy organic foods and a vibrant arts community nearby.

Tranquil room in Strawbale house located on the outskirts of picturesque Port Townsend approximately 30-40 minutes walk from historic downtown. We live on 3/4 acre with views of Mt. Baker, Mt. Rainer (on a clear day) and Port Townsend Bay. Although we are in the city limits, we feel as though we are out in the country! We are still a work in progress, so you may see some of our unfinished projects. IF THIS LISTING IS BOOKED WE HAVE ANOTHER LISTING: SUMPTUOUS ROOM IN STRAWBALE HOUSE.
Our hand-built strawbale house is located in lovely Port Townsend and is a 5 minute drive or 30-40 minute walk to downtown. Our little corner room is filled with light and views of Mt. Baker and Port Townsend bay as well as the green field below the house. The two-foot thick walls are hand plastered, lending an organic feel to the room as well as creating a warm and quiet space. Enjoy the 100% wool carpet, cotton sheets and natural linen duvet. In order to create a space where you can get away from the trappings of modern life, there is no TV in the room, but feel free to access our wi-fi to watch movies on your laptop using headphones. Our sweet kitty Tibby will most likely come and visit you as well! We are very social people and love to get to know our guests so please feel welcome to enjoy the rest of the house! The bathroom is just a few steps away across the hall from your room and has a separate shared toilet space. As you will see, our house and property is still a work in progress! There are still unfinished aspects to the house and we have yet to accomplish much outside landscaping due, in part, to a lack of deer fencing. Therefore, anything we plant will get eaten at this point! With this being said, our home is very comfortable and functional and we think you will love being here.
Although we are within the city limits, you will feel as if you are out in the country. Our little lane will take you past a charming neighborhood of houses but our 3/4 acre feels private and serene.
  • One of a kind oasis for weary travellers, swing dance workshop enthusiasts, and everyone inbetween! Comfortable bed and delicious Muesli in the morning, can't be beat by even the finest hotel! We would love to stay again!

  • This was a sweet place to stay close to town. Sheryl and Tim were very open and welcoming. The room had a great view, was very clean and the bathroom heated floors were truly awesome. Their older kitty was really sweet and visited us a bit but was not disturbing in any way.

    Liz2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The kitty tibby was very friendly, he visited us throughout our stay, beautiful home and quiet unique. Sheryl was very nice and provided a lovely healthy homemade granola for us.

What IS it, about a periwinkle house? Your private room is in this light and open, peaceful home on a quiet street in Port Townsend, approximately 30-40 minutes walk from historic downtown. It is tucked in by the blackberries, wild roses and fir trees, next to one of PT's walking trails.
I love meeting travelers! Even if you're just popping up to Port Townsend from Seattle, everyone always has a story, and a lens on life that broadens my own. Welcome to my home. The house is located in what I call "the suburbs" of Port Townsend: not Uptown, not Downtown, but atop one of the first hills as you're heading away from each. It's about a 5 minute drive - or a 30-40 minute walk to downtown. Your room is peaceful and calm -- the kind that makes you exhale when you walk in. The knotty pine doors, simple rocking chair, a wee bit of art, and a fluffy blue duvet invite you to slow down, snuggle in to your queen-sized bed, and relax (don't be thrown off -- sometimes I'll have a sunshine-yellow and white duvet cover on the bed... still inviting, still comfortable). The room-darkening shade makes it easy to sleep-in.... We'll even stop Time for you -- pausing the pendulum on the old kitchen clock, leaving it silent, while you sleep. In order to create a space where you can get away from the trappings of modern life, there is no TV, but feel free to access the wi-fi to watch movies on your laptop using headphones. (I tend to turn off the wi-fi late at night, for better dreaming... but it'll be back on, in the morning!) I enjoy getting to know my guests, so please feel welcome to enjoy the main living areas of house. In the summer months, the front porch is a wonderful place to hang out. As you'll see, the garden is a work in progress... deer, bunnies, butterflies and birds are always around - it gets a bit Disney-esque around here, and if you don't move too quickly, the deer will glide in and rest on the garden knee-wall, while you're drinking your tea. I think you'll enjoy being here!
The neighborhood is quiet, with easy access to wooded trails. We actually have little kids who play and ride their bicycles in the street (like back in the old days), about a block up the road. In the other direction, at the end of the block, there's a stellar view of Mt. Baker, and out into the straits. Plenty of blackberries to pick in August... and that kind of ease that prompts us to say with a combination of wonder and gratitude, "Wow. We live here."
  • Wonderful, relaxing, clean and Katherine was amazing! I would absolutely recommend her place to stay!

    Janine2020-03-07T00:00:00Z

Located just one mile from Highway 101, 20 minutes from Port Townsend, 25 minutes from Sequim, 45 minutes from Port Angeles. • A charming place for a peaceful vacation in the countryside< 2 hours from Seattle. Short 20 min drive to port Townsend makes it an ideal spot for a cool retro stay with warm hospitality. Be sure to swap some vegan recipes with Heather and hiking tips with Greg.

    Sruti2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Heather & Greg's home was perfect for our stay! We were looking to escape Seattle for the weekend and explore an area we hadn't been to before. We loved the vegan breakfast bar and the coziness of their vintage & quaint home. We hope to be back eventually!

This is a early 1900's waterfront farmhouse with lots of character and vintage charm. Glassed in front porch allows you to kick back and enjoy the picturesque views of Mystery Bay in any weather. We have fast wifi and a blue ray player. Three wonderful parks close by, two within one mile. We are 16 miles to the beautiful seaport city of Port Townsend, known for music, dining, art galleries, parks etc. We are about 20 minutes to Port Ludlow and 30 minutes to 7 cedars casino 40 to Sequim.
This house has two bedrooms with queen beds. The third bedroom is actually a converted utility room that has a twin sized cot with a memory foam mattress topper. This room actually has the best view, and a private 1/4 bathroom. It is separated from the main house by the entry hall. So it is the most private. The kitchen comes stocked with hopefully everything you might need to cook with, including cork screws and both a drip coffee maker and an espresso maker. Or you might choose to walk next door to the wonderful Nordland General store that has an espresso bar and a wonder selection of wine and craft beer. They also have goat cheese made at the Mystery bay farm also adjacent to our property. Fort Flagler state park is about 2 1/2 miles away and East Beach and Mystery Bay park is less than a mile. East Beach park does not require a pass and is one of the nicest beaches around for walking.
I love my neighborhood. Walking into the Nordland General store next door is like stepping back in time. The wood plank floors are worn with a hundred years of patrons footsteps. There are d.v.d.s to rent and there is an honor library where you can grab a book to read. You can buy a steaming hot mocha from the espresso bar, or a whidbey island ice cream bar and sit out on the bench on the store dock and enjoy the picturesque views. They also have kayak rentals.
  • Great spot with lots of outdoor space. Very cozy and a perfect getaway!

  • Deb was very sweet and generous with our stay - she gave us early check in and late check out so we were able to enjoy extra half day at their place. She is an excellent communicator and she makes sure your stay is safe and enjoyable. We loved how quiet this place was and view is also great. Only few miles away from great hikes and walks.

Our relaxing guest house has everything you need! It is a two-bedroom spacious house that resides on 11 beautiful acres. Each bedroom has a queen-size bed with latex mattress'. Cook a special meal over wine in the kitchen or head out to some of the local eateries. It's beautifully and comfortably decorated and there's room to roam outside. There is electric heat and a woodstove if you want to hang out and get really cozy.
This a rural setting just outside of Port Townsend. There is a bit of road noise and it is still fairly quiet. There is an owl that often perches behind the house and calls out during the night. We often awaken to its calls and we love hearing it. Hence the name "Owl's Lodge". Occasionally we hear the coyotes howling and that too is very peaceful.
We are just outside Port Townsend city limits and it's about a 10-minute drive to either Port Townsend or to Chimacum. Either direction will bring you to amazing local destinations of local food, hand-crafted drinks, farms, sites to behold, and adventures to have.
  • Catherine was quick to respond and she and her husband, Damon, were very warm and welcoming. We had a wonderfully relaxing time at the Owl's Nest. It's very cozy and simply but creatively decorated. Having a wood stove on the couple of chilly evenings during our stay was a real plus. The location was perfect - rural, yet close to town with just a 10 minute drive.

    Brenda2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Even more beautiful in person. Just a quick 10 min drive to the fort/beach and college campus and exactly what the doctor ordered for a getaway from the city.

    Jessie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great place near Port Townsend. Well appointed and roomy kitchen/living area-- comfy beds, and a deep bath with HOT water. Great communication and easy to work with. I appreciated that the sheets were washed with a non-pefurmey detergent -- I usually have to use my own sheets since I am sensitive. Walked the grounds with my dogs and they loved it. Will definitely stay again when I need a place with more than one bedroom. Also enjoyed (and used) the later-than-standard check-out of 12 versus 11am. Next time I will book an additional night.

    Craig2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Catherine's Owl's Nest was charming, spacious, clean, well appointed and a great value overall. Shower was very nice, bed very comfortable and wood stove was warm all day and night to keep the chill away :-) We would stay here again for sure.

    Melissa And Nathan2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, wonderful touch with getting the fire ready for us! It was comfortable and peaceful.

    Carrie2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Owl's Nest is a large, comfortable, clean and homey place. We had great sleep there listening to the silence of the Quimper Peninsula, and we had fun evenings playing board games next to the wood burning stove. We're so grateful to be able to bring our pooch with us to PT for vacations, though he needed to be leashed there because it's a festival of temptations, from tiny little kittens to chickens and other dogs, as well as deer to chase.... he's not that well-trained!

    Susan2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • I would highly recommend the Owl's Nest for anyone traveling to the Port Townsend area. Catherine's place is decorated so cute and was sparkling clean! We worked on the puzzle while enjoying the crackling of the wood burning stove.

    Suzanna2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Owl's Cottage is a charming place tucked in a a stand of tall pines just a few minutes from downtown Port Townsend. The cottage was warm and cozy and the best stocked Airbnb we have ever been in. Upon arrival the frig was stocked with bread, butter, coffee creamer, cheese, coffee, drinks, everything we needed for breakfast the next morning and throughout our stay. Since we arrived late at night this was most appreciated . THe cottage is also stocked with every amenity a traveler could possibly need - shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toothpaste, razors, coffee, phone chargers. You name it, it was there. The kitchen was also extremely well stocked with dishes, glasses, pots and pans. Especially wonderful was how the cottage was lit up and a fire burning in the wood stove upon our late night arrival. We plan to book again for our next rip to Port Townsend.

  • Beautiful modern cabin right on the water with multiple outdoor decks, modern appliances, and a spacious loft. My partner and I were blown away by the detail put into this place. It is a perfect escape out of the city without having to be too disconnected. We will definitely be back!

    Evan2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • We booked this place because of the views and they did not disappoint! It was a great space for our weekend away.

    Vanessa2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • This place offered a spectacular weekend retreat. I think we went in expecting a single bedroom w/ sleeper sofa in the living room, so the loft was a little surprising, but it was an excellent stay!

    Doyle2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures don’t even fully capture how great view is within the house. Location is perched above ocean so that you get epic water views on deck and through windows. We had a great time. Very secluded and private. House is clean and full of light.

    Hans2019-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • What a gorgeous place. We truly enjoyed our time there and had no trouble with a last minute booking. The owners have clearly put effort into making sure guests know how to use their cabin, as well as enjoy the surrounding area. We will definitely return.

Guest will enjoy a private one bedroom suite with private bath and walk-in shower. Our home is in a quiet, rural area on the west side of Whidbey Island, WA with amazing water and sunset views and wildlife. Whidbey Island offers great outdoor activities, awesome wineries and distilleries, and an emerging craft brewing community. Whidbey Island is the closest place to far away - a place so magical the ferries take us home!
Minutes away from Freeland and cute little downtown Langley, our home is just about the mid-point of the island and is easy to get from here to anywhere Whidbey. Greenbank Farms is our local collection of artists and craftsmen studios, cheese shop, and eateries (especially Whidbey Pies!). Our home is walking distance to several trailheads and South Whidbey State Park for exploring outdoors.
"The neighborhood..." hmmm... Well, we have neighbors. Their houses can be seen from ours; but I'm not sure I could call it a 'neighborhood' in the urban sense. We're in an idyllic country setting chosen specifically to escape crowds and traffic.
  • Beautiful view and scenery. A nice private bathroom and bedroom. Clean and cozy. A wonderful couple.

  • Wonderful restful spot on Whidbey Island! Loved watching all the birds at the feeders each morning, including the feisty hummingbirds. Nic & Gloria are wonderful hosts. Beds were comfortable, and everything was sparkling clean! We would definitely stay here again if our travels bring us back to Whidbey.

    Merrill2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Nic and Gloria are exceptional hosts, extending a warm welcome as if we just arrived home. Comfortable quiet private room and bathroom is all you need, but get so much more with their morning coffee view of the Sound and friendly conversation. Lovely home, we highly recommend.

This is a separate listing for a single room with a full sized bed. Ideal for commuter. I will not be showing you around much since it is a work day, but I can provide a written guide. You might even have the whole place to yourself if I'm gone. Of course if I do happen to be home, I would be more than happy to chat with you. Please note the commuter room listing is for one occupancy and there is a $8 fee for each additional guest(s) .
Your bedroom is down the hallway (last door to right). Bathroom is right outside your bedroom door.
Even I can't get enough of my living room view of the countryside and ocean. Admirals cove is a quiet waterfront suburb that's filled with mostly vacation homes and happily retired folks. Close to Port Townsend ferry (5 min) and downtown Coupeville is (12 min). Most people are happy with what they have here and are very simple folks. Quaint and charming best describes the place.
  • I felt at home thanks for the stay

  • Enjoyed my short visit at Kim's place. Kim was a warm and welcoming host, and her place has a delightful view. Her home is open and airy, modern, uncluttered, and comfortable. The bedroom was nice, good sleep there, it was very quiet and private. The bathroom had some nice amenities. There are some great local tips for things to do, and I appreciated her map with "traffic mayhem" LOL, around Tacoma. She's not kidding about that! I did some wonderful hikes in the area, and had coffee one morning at the wharf in Coupeville. Wish I could have stayed longer. I really appreciated the value. Great jumping off point for a continued trip through the North Olympics!

Relax in your large, private room with its own bath. Enjoy the views of water and trees and the many wild birds. WHIDBEY ISLAND is a national scenic treasure featuring historic Ft Casey SP, Ebey's Landing, Deception Pass Bridge, and other distinctive communities such as the historic villages of Coupeville and Langley. A little further north the SAN JUAN ISLANDs begin, and further still is BC, CANADA!
Your room and private bath are set in their own hallway, with access to the kitchen and private sitting areas nearby. Enjoy the sun on the deck as you gaze at the water in peaceful bliss. The area is extremely quiet. Whidbey island has everything anyone could wish for as a getaway. Several wedding venues are nearby and restaurants of almost every kind are 10 minutes away from the home, including gourmet experiences if you are so inclined. Arts and live music abound on the island and of course you won’t want to miss the nearby villages of Langley or Coupeville. For the more active, kayaking groups leave frequently, a wonderful long, sandy and walkable beach is near by and we love riding our bikes on the rolling hills.
My paradise is private, quiet and convenient. Our major grocery store and several restaurants are nearby - a little over a mile away.

    Holli2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Marilyn was a wonderful hostess. We enjoyed her beautiful home, that was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. There is also a private bath. And there is great tasting coffee provided by Marilyn every morning. You will enjoy walks you can take in this area, seeing the tall evergreens and the view of the bay. You’re also minutes from Freeland shopping.

  • We went for a family get away and this was the perfect location. The view from the house is spectacular and would recommend this to anyone trying to get away from the city.

    Brent2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect kitchen! We had 6 adult guests and meals were fun and easy to prepare because there was enough room for everyone. The double stove and large gas range made it fun and anyone cooking were able to still be part of the conversations. The view was wonderful and we all were able to enjoy it over morning coffee. A quick 15 minute drive into Port Townsend meant we could spend the day walking around town and then come back to the beautiful space and relax.

    Rose2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • This home is absolute gorgeous! Everything you need to make it home away from home. More than enough rooms and beds it was just my fiancé and I! You could bring 3 families and fit comfortably. I highly recommend this place and we will for sure be returning.

  • We had a fabulous weekend at Ann’s beautiful home nestled on the water! Breath taking views in a peaceful location that allowed easy access to Port Townsend and surrounding fun areas to explore! Will absolutely come back again!!

  • We had a wonderful weekend at Ann's home! It's maybe a 20 minute drive to Port Townsend if you feel like venturing out, but the home is so comfortable, clean, and scenic that we truly enjoyed staying in. Also, the kitchen has everything you'd need to cook meals or bake, a huge plus for me. We hope to stay there again some time!

Welcome to our Sunset View retreat on Whidbey Island! We are just south of the historic town of Coupeville over-looking the Strait of San Juan De Fuca with views of the Olympics, shipping lanes, and beautiful sunsets!
Welcome to our cozy home on beautiful Whidbey Island. It is a perfect place for friends to get together or a romantic retreat. Our home is situated on the bluff over-looking the Strait of San Juan De Fuca shipping lanes. Watch the cruise ships, cargo ships, and Naval ships sail by on their way out to sea. Eagles soar overhead and seagulls will entertain you stopping to chatter from the rooftop. From the front yard the neighborhood deer family may pay you a visit. They like to wander up and down the street looking for a tasty treats! Inside the house you will find our fully stocked and equipped kitchen for preparing meals and a large BBQ grill right outside on the spacious deck. On those evenings that you want to go out for dinner, we have some suggestions for you in our welcome book! On rainy days you can enjoy storm watching over the water channel from the warm living room and kitchen. Watch movies, play board games, and puzzles or curl up by the fire with a good book.
  • We enjoyed our stay. The view is absolutely beautiful from the back deck and the house has all the amenities. It was a good space for our one year old as well, he could play in the front yard, and the back deck. The house also has a nice open floor plan with a ton of light and the view is beautiful inside and out. The bedrooms are comfortable and have good curtains so they could be made dark anytime (helpful for naps). But most importantly Lois the host was fantastic, going above and beyond multiple times. Lois was probably the best host we have had in our Airbnb experiences. The house and property are extremely well cared for thanks to her. The only thing to note is that it is in the flight path of jets so if they are flying it’s loud, though they do post the schedule so you know ahead. Also the internet is reliable for entertainment but if you are working from that location it can be a bit spotty requiring a reset of the router. (This is a fact for all of Whidbey Island).

    Leidy2020-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • This house is the ideal Whidbey getaway. I doubt there is a better view anywhere on the island. The house was also very clean and cozy, I will definitely be back! Everything was as described and overall it was an amazing experience.

    Chet2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This home is wonderful and Lois' care and pride of the place is visible in every detail. No words can express the wonder of the panoramic view from the deck. The house is inviting, comfortable and efficient. I would stay here again in a heart-beat.

  • I booked Lois’ home at the last minute on a Friday for a quick, relaxing getaway for Seattle. Lois accepted quickly and baked some fresh cookies. The home is spectacular! The views are amazing and the neighborhood is quiet and pleasant. I really can’t say enough about the place in a single review. Thanks Lois for sharing your home with me and I can’t wait to come back in the spring and summer.

Meet The Whidbnb! This 950-sq. ft. Whidbey Island beach cabin is just a 2-minute walk to the water. The space features boho/mid-century modern decor, a well-appointed kitchen, cozy beds, covered parking, and a fully-fenced yard. Everyone is welcome at The Whidbnb. Dogs, too! :) We created the space as a quiet retreat from the hustle-and-bustle of Seattle, and boy, does it deliver! Whether you stay for a weekend or a week, you'll leave recharged and refreshed.
The cabin is located in well-known Bush Point in South Whidbey, which is right outside of Freeland proper. Bush Point offers sweeping views of the Puget Sound and Olympic mountains—both of which you can see from inside and outside of the cabin. We recently fenced in the yard, making it an excellent outdoor hangout for families, friends, and dogs. Step out onto the deck and enjoy a nice cup of tea or glass of wine—the views are fantastic, no matter the time of day or year. While the cabin is certainly vintage (and has some of its charming quirks as a result!), we've ensured the space is clean and comfortable and stocked with all the comforts of home. The Whidbnb is also tech-savvy with WiFi, a Smart TV for those cozy Netflix nights, and keyless entry. ------------------------------------------------------- A few things to note: [5'S A BREEZE, 6 IS A SQUEEZE] We've set the listing up to accommodate 5 adults comfortably: 2 in each queen bed, and 1 on the pull-out futon. However, with the right attitude and sense of adventure, the futon could *technically* fit an extra person to squeeze in a total of 6. We've done it and can attest that it's okay for a short-term stay (or for two kiddos!), but just wanted to throw out a disclaimer to ensure your group REALLY likes each other before booking with 6! ;) [DOG FRIENDLY] We love dogs! If you'd like to bring your dog, no prob—we just ask that you give us a heads-up! The cleaning fee is set to accommodate dog stays and we make our best effort to ensure cleanliness from fur and everything else that comes along with our 4-legged friends! [ALLERGY CALL-OUT] We are a dog-friendly space, and while we do a thorough deep-cleaning after any four-legged guests stay with us, the Whidbnb may not be well-suited for anyone with pet allergies. [VINTAGE SPACE] This cabin has been tastefully renovated, but like any 80-year-old house near the water, it does have its "charm"! It tends to get a little humid and chilly when the temps dip, so we've set up space heaters, extra blankets, and dehumidifiers for your comfort.
Bush Point is a quiet beach community right outside of Freeland, WA in South Whidbey. To the west, you see the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountain Range, which makes for some stunning sunsets. You're within a 10-minute drive to grocery stores, restaurants, wineries, and coffee shops. We're glad to recommend our favorites.
  • This place was fantastic! Beautiful water views, huge yard, every amenity you can think of, including toiletries, doggy bags, dog treats, human treats, and more. It was a lovely weekend and we can't wait to go back.

    Erin2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy was an amazing host. She was quick and thorough with her communication. The house was well appointed with everything labeled and well stocked. She had wonderful touches to make us feel right at home as soon as we entered the house. The yard was perfect for the dog and kids to play, and for mom and dad to sit with a beer. The house was a “very” short walk to the beach, where we spent hours walking. We would love to stay at the Whidbnb again.

    Allison2020-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • After reading all of Kathy and Mark's 5-star reviews, we were excited for our weekend stay at the Whidbnb. And I must say, they 100% lived up to those reviews! My fiancé and I were staying the weekend on Whidbey following our engagement photoshoot. Kathy and Mark had a bottle of wine, sweet snacks and dog treats waiting for us when we arrived -- all next to a message board congratulating us on our engagement. What a warm, personal touch! The house is the perfect size, and is thoughtfully decorated. The beds are comfy -- which can be hard to find with Airbnbs. And everything is thoughtfully labeled -- not only in an easy-to-navigate fashion, but very cute labels! If you have your pup with you, this is the most dog-friendly Airbnb! Like I mentioned, dog treats were waiting for our boy when we got there. There were plenty of dog blankets, dog towels, poop bags, etc. And the backyard is large and completely fenced in! Plus, a beautiful view of the mountains and the water. Lastly, Kathy and Mark were incredibly communicative, which is always much appreciated. We felt very taken care of. We will definitely be staying here again!

    Emily2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was by far our most favorite Airbnb stay. We have visited other "dog friendly" places and the WhidBNB is above the rest. From the thoughtful touches, to the pup supplies (calming treats, regular treats, pup blankets, leash hook, dog bed, the list goes on) you can tell that the owners are dog lovers. The fully fenced yard is flat and spacious and a great place for dogs to run wild and owners to enjoy some beer on the deck while looking at the water and the mountains. The house is a short stroll from a beach access area and a few minutes drive from a small father-son distillery (Mutiny Bay). It is a quiet and relaxing spot to enjoy with friends.

    Jennifer2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was perfect. The home is clean and thoughtfully decorated, the yard was perfect for the dog, and the beach is so close—we walked multiple times a day. The owner also provided a list of recommendations of restaurants and places to go/things to do nearby, which we appreciated and used. Communication was prompt, check in/out was easy, we were 10 minutes from town for trips to the store or a bite to eat...I can’t say enough good things! We can’t wait to come back!

    Katie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The WhidBNB was incredible. We could not have been happier with our stay! Katherine and Mark were wonderful hosts, they really put a lot of personal touches to make it feel special (for both us and our pup). We stayed for Valentine’s Day weekend, and Katherine and Mark went above and beyond...we arrived with the place decorated and some Valentine’s Day treats set out for us! The space was darling, and they had the place stocked with almost anything you could possibly need! The kitchen had a ton of tools that made it really convenient to cook there, the beds were very comfortable, and the spacious back yard was quite the treat for our dog. We were beyond pleased with our stay, especially for the great price. We will most definitely be back to the WhidBNB!

    Hailey2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first Air BnB experience and it certainly exceeded our expectations. After a much busier start to our January than we anticipated, the weekend we spent on Whidbey Island was welcomed time away. We were able to unplug professionally and enjoy the quiet. Seriously the neighborhood was so quiet. We enjoyed views of the water from the living room as well as enjoy many quick trips down to the beach. They had everything we needed and could have wanted. The massive selection of Bubbly and La Croix was my personal favorite. We definitely plan to be back! Thanks for sharing your peaceful space with us.

    Kelci2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Expect your expectations and experience to be blown out of the water. Kathy and Mark do a phenomenal job and the Whidbnb is undoubtedly one of the best listings that I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. The space is perfect for solo travelers, pet owners, couples and small families: Kathy and Mark's attention to detail and little touches really help enhance the experience and comfort. The beds we're also incredibly comfortable, the space has a fresh lavender scent, and no lingering dog odor. The fully fenced yard is a huge plus for dog owners as my pups had a blast and enjoyed almost as much as we did. 11/10 experience and if Kathy and Mark would be gracious enough to have us again, we know where we'll be staying!

  • Beautiful place. Love the early 1900's Speakeasy vibe to it. It was out enough to where it was quite and peaceful at night, and not a far drive to downtown Port Townsend for touristing. I will recommend this place to anyone! We want to come back again and stay in the near future, and their lil fluffy host, Thor, the smokey barn cat was a delight! Thanks again Trudy!

  • Beautiful stay at Trudy's home. Thank you! The bed was so comfy, I am still thinking about it!

    Jennifer2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place has so much character--I'm so glad we chose to stay here instead of a generic room elsewhere. Trudy was so kind and accommodated our schedule when we needed something special.

  • Cool older home with comfortable bed and yummy cider tasting!

    Rebecca2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely corner room with a huge beautiful claw foot tub - what’s not to love?!

    Jessica2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a step back in time with modern amenities. Very peaceful location. Like staying at the grandparent’s farm. But just a short distance to downtown Port Townsend.

    Liz2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Our room was much larger than expected, the mattress pleased our fussy backs, we loved being greeted by wild deer upon our return to Arcadia most nights (my wife and I stayed a total of 9 days), and Trudy was delightful. We’ll be back.

  • My wife and I and two of our best friends spent President’s Day Weekend at The Nest. WE LOVED IT. Monica was gracious enough to help us with an early check in and still left lots of nice touches for us upon our arrival: chocolates, Prosecco, Perrier, crackers, cheese, and the like. The house is beautiful with an especially nice kitchen. It’s well stocked and well equipped. The upstairs bathroom was amazing and the shower was hard to leave! The location is great too; on a quiet road and fifteen minutes to Port Townsend and fifteen minutes to Port Hadlock. Both places have great restaurants and we especially recommend Ajax in Port Hadlock and Finistere and Sirens in Port Townsend. We also walked the Larry Miller trail two of the three days as it’s very close by. The Nest is a great find!

    Michael2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved staying in Monica's Nest by the Bay! The home is very comfortable and Monica has thought of every amenity you might need. Monica was very responsive and available for questions during our stay. The area is quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended to the Airbnb community!

    Sarah2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • What a gorgeous, tidy home! We took a group of four up to Port Townsend for a birthday getaway and enjoyed cozying up in the Nest by the Bay. Monica left so many thoughtful touches: drinks and snacks in the fridge, chocolates on the beds, and even a birthday gift! The house was spotless and full of amenities (bath products, lots of blankets, new slippers in the closet). The big kitchen was one of the reasons we booked this home and we made good use of it all weekend. It has all of the basics and some great surprises (such as a large rice cooker). To our delight, the oven runs hot, which was perfect for making pizza! There are tons of DVDs for all tastes, a big TV with a variety of apps (such as Disney+, Hulu, and Netflix), and an extremely comfortable couch where I got lots of knitting done. Checkin and checkout is very easy. Monica texted once or twice just to check on us and was always available by phone if we needed her (which we didn't—nothing went awry), and the neighbors were so friendly when we chatted with them in the morning, saying they were available as well. Downtown PT was less than 15 minutes away, and it was a quick drive out to Chimacum to visit Finnriver as well. (BTW, you can see the water from the living room but the upstairs bedroom gets the best view, so choose bedrooms wisely!) This home is a perfect escape from city life: quiet, peaceful, warm and cozy. I bet it'd be lovely in the summer as well, when you can relax on the porch and stare out at the bay.

    Heather2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Monica's place! It is a beautiful, spotlessly clean home with a view of the water! From the beginning to the end we were delighted with special things from the chocolates on the bed to the wine we were gifted in the fridge. It was the perfect place for my family to meet up for the holiday... with a kitchen that had everything we forgot. We also followed Monica's tip to dine at the Finistère in Port Townsend and are so glad we did. We had a 3-person birthday brunch complete with deviled eggs and ricotta beignets. Afterwards we explored the town and were delighted with all the decorations and the farmers market. After a long day we enjoyed the big tv screen and comfy couch... until we hit the extra comfy beds (tho I did have to use the little step ladder to get into mine). I recommend staying at Monica's highly! Beautiful!

  • Monica was wonderfully, thoughtful host. After a long travel day, we arrived to her immaculate property after 1AM. She had coffee, tea, cream, fruit, & breakfast items waiting for us. The kitchen was well appointed, beds comfortable, and the bathroom held every product you could want. We will definitely be return guests when in the area!

    Gretchen2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was an amazing place to stay! A lovely and spacious home, a glorious view, and lots of special touches and amenities. We loved it!

    Anna2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our weekend stay at the Nest was great! Monica was very helpful and Port Townsend was just what we needed. We’d definitely stay again!

    Jason2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • The Nest is a lovely, stylish, comfortable place to stay. It is only a short drive into Port Townsend, yet nestled among tall cedars it feels like quintessential Pacific Northwest country living. The road is quiet and makes a lovely walk, the sunsets over Discovery Bay are exceptional, and having the Larry Scott trail close by is a wonderful benefit. A deer with two fawns frequented the property while we were there. The house is spacious, and the furnishings are comfortable: you’ll find everything you need here, and Monica is a thoughtful host who is very attentive to the needs of her guests. This is the kind of place you can settle into for a long stay and feel as though it’s home.

About a 20 minute drive from Port Townsend, 'a great little drinking town with a fishing problem' (a quote seen a fair bit in town).. lots to do and see. The kitchen is very well appointed, has most things one would think of, down to an electric hand mixer!

  • What a great place to stay! The views were outstanding - I agree with other reviews that the photos do not do it justice. It helped that the weather was fantastic; sunsets were incredible! The house is very comfortable and well furnished with stylish touches and convenient Alexa enabled controls. The bed in the master was bit too firm for me, but everyone has different preferences so it likely is perfect for others. The host was very communicative and always quick to respond. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. We plan to stay here again in the near future! Great getaway from Seattle.

  • The house is accurately portrayed in the photos. However, the pictures don’t do the view justice. The view from the house and balcony is absolutely beautiful. The August key pad made it easy for us to come and go from the house without having to take house keys with us everywhere we went. We hope to be back one day.

  • Stunning views on Whidbey Island! My wife and I stayed here with my parents and our two boys ages 9 and 10. The views of the shipping lanes through Admiralty Inlet and the Olympic Mountains were absolutely breathtaking. The kitchen was extremely well appointed and made cooking a Thanksgiving meal a breeze. The house is just a short walk from a stairway down to the beach and we enjoyed beach coming there... very private, we nearly had a mile of ocean front to ourselves. Icing on the cake was the electric car charger that we used for our Chevy Bolt which made island outings a breeze. We would love to stay here again. Highly recommended!

  • This house was amazing. My family played on the beach all day. We enjoyed the view. Watched the sunrise. Drank yummy coffee with all their outstanding coffee amenities. The house has everything you could possibly need. And more. Soak in the bath tub and check out the view. Sit on the deck and enjoy the view. This trip was incredibly relaxing. Just what I needed. The layout of the house lets you all be together with lots of space. We will definitely be back.

  • This was such a peaceful and relaxing place to spend time with family. Such a charming space with amazing views. Unfortunately, being there during the shortest days of the year, we found that the tide was in during most of our daylight hours. But we got to briefly enjoy walking on the beach during the evenings. We will definitely come back if we ever have the opportunity.

  • Amazing views, peaceful, cozy, not to mention beach access for a walk along the coast - was the perfect location for a weekend getaway (even on a rainy Fall weekend).

  • This was one of the more interesting Airbnb properties that I have stayed in. The house is right along the beach and has an incredible view, which you can easily tell from the pictures, but the thing that surprised me in a good way was the contents of the house. Airbnbs are often clearly furnished with functional, but uninteresting items all purchased at the same time for the sole purpose of outfitting a rental property, which is completely fair and reasonable, but it does make staying in a home full of small personal treasures so much more interesting. The house is seemingly owned by travelers and is full of small statues and sculptures from around the world--fun wooden masks from west Africa, and figurines from east Asia. More functionally the house is full of modern, but comfortable furniture, including a gorgeous eames chair. Finally, the property has one of the few Airbnb kitchens that is actually functional and stocked with things like real knives and roasting pans, which as a person that loves to cook was a very welcome surprise. The place is cozy and functional enough that it would be a really fun spot to come back to even in the off-seasons where Olympic peninsula weather really limits recreational options.

  • This place was truly incredible. You can tell the owners are thoughtful as they equipped the home with everything you could ever want or need. The location on the water, amenities, old stone house cottage charm and cleanliness were huge factors for me and this did not disappoint. Truly, I’ve stayed in a lot of Airbnb’s and thought this was well done. Thank you for having us. We will be back.

One of the last original cabins in the Mutiny Bay settlement. Directly across the street from the bay and tidelands, with stunning views of the sea and mountains, Where the Traveler Rests offers accommodations for up to 6 people. A short walk to the beach at Mutiny Bay offers kayaking, fishing, and boating. Situated between the waterfront towns of Coupeville and Langley, and a short drive to all major event venues on the South Island.
Built in the 1940s by a local fisherman, the house is authentic old-school Whidbey Island, and maintains its old-timey charm. Wood and natural materials abound, and details like the abalone shells set into the front steps, or the wood carvings by the fireplace, tell the story of a house that was crafted over time by its owners. Recent renovations and upgrades have been done, but care was taken to preserve the character and individuality of the house. The master bedroom has a private balcony that looks out towards Mutiny Bay. Aside from the skylighted upstairs bath and another bedroom, the upstairs also has a reading nook and a door that leads to the backyard, accessed via a small deck on the back of the house. Downstairs, the third bedroom and lower bathroom are adjoined, forming a small suite. The kitchen, dining area, and living room are a continuous open space. All rooms have queen beds, end tables, reading lamps, and alarm clocks with USB charging.
The house is just a 10 minute walk down the street from the Robinson beach boat launch, where guests can launch kayaks and fishing boats. Some of the best crabbing on the island! I love the hikes in Earth Sanctuary, or the Langley waterfront. Go to breakfast at the Braeburn in Langley, or for a coffee at the Cafe in the Woods - the roasting headquarters of Mukilteo coffee roasters.

Stay on central Whidbey Island in the quiet countryside on a charming 1200 + square foot remodeled farmhouse adjacent to a 3 acre vineyard, 1900 vintage barn, and orchard.
The rural property is located on 5 acres which includes 3 acres of vineyard, a 100 year old historic barn, a small orchard, and a chicken/duck coop.
  • This farm style home was truly a wonderful place! Our whole family enjoyed!

  • We stayed at this fabulous and charming place in Greenbank for two nights and we can't say enough about the hospitality of the owners. The scenery is fabulous, the house is cute and well-equipped to cook, and the beds were so comfortable - we slept like babies there! My kids loved the swing they had tied up in the beautiful black pine next to the house, and we sat there in the chairs looking at the vineyard and drinking the delicious local Malbec Bruce and Diane left for us when we arrived. Diane also harvested a few zucchini and onions from her garden and dropped them off for us - one of many nice touches over our stay. We can't wait to go back!! What a gem!

    Lisa2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Bruce's farmhouse was a lovely and slow-paced stay for our family. The beds were both very comfortable with soft hotel-like bedding. Our family of 4 was very comfortable in the house. I was especially taken with their generosity in sharing all of their property with us...they talked to us about farming, showed us around the vineyard, let our kids feed the chickens, and even play with their new chicks. Our kids loved the tree swing too. It was a lovely and quiet spot to call home for a few days.

  • You could not ask for better hosts and I do not even know where to start when it comes to the list of positive features this property has to offer. We will stay again without a second thought. Thanks again, Paul & Margaret

  • This place is very cute and the property is amazing! Good accuracy on the description and the rooms were so much bigger than expected. Very nice place.

    Jenn2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • This property was a peaceful paradise, with such a lovely ambience and such a great property to relax and unwind at. If you have children, there is so much for them to explore and see that they won't want to leave. There's chickens, ducks, vineyard, swing, tractor and many other things kept our toddler busy for hours. Bruce and Diane are such lovely and welcoming hosts, we felt like we made some good friends and hope to visit again. Thoroughly recommend this property.

Our sumptuous room is located in picturesque Port Townsend approximately 30-40 minutes walk from historic downtown. We live on 3/4 acre with views of Mt. Baker, Mt. Rainer (on a clear day) and Port Townsend Bay on the outskirts of Port Townsend. Even though we are in the city limits, we feel as though we are out in the country. Our street dead ends so there is no thru traffic going by our home. We are still a work in progress, so we have some exterior projects on the go which you will see.
One of the most wonderful aspects of a straw bale house is the sense of safety and quiet that these two foot thick walls provide. The wall surface is stucco and structolite plaster which we troweled on by hand, with the help of our friends and family. The three bay windows provide a lovely territorial view of the trees across the road and of Mt. Baker on a clear day. Our king sized bed is natural latex with cotton sheets and down duvet. The 100% wool carpet feels great on your feet! PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ROOM IS ON THE 2ND FLOOR SO YOU WILL NEED TO BE COMFORTABLE CLIMBING STAIRS.
Although we are within the city limits, you will feel as if you are out in the country. We are on the outskirts of Port Townsend so it is not right 'in town'. Our little lane will take you past a charming neighborhood of houses but our 3/4 acre feels private and serene.

  • The space is welcoming and creative. It had a lot of creative details to explore. I stayed with my girlfriend, and, unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to interact with Sheryl or Tim directly, but they were very responsive on the app and their directions for getting in and out were clear.

    Heinrich2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We got to stay at Sheryl & Tim's for only one night but it was such a treat! We were in town for Strange Brew Fest so we were mostly out and about. However, we enjoyed the view from the room, the walk into town, and the delicious muesli for breakfast! We also got a great night's sleep in the wonderfully cozy bed. Didn't get to enjoy the shower but it looked really, really cool. Would definitely stay here again!

  • You can expect a clean, comfortable, and well-appointed space with plenty of charm and hospitality.

    Rob2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and i had an amazing time at Tim and Sheryl’s. Their hand built straw bail house was super unique and the experience was totally amplified by their hospitality. Couldn’t recommend more for a weekend trip away from Seattle!

    Hunter2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Sheryl & Tim’s hand-built straw-bale house is amazing. Architecturally fascinating (Tim can tell about every aspect of its construction if you ask), and with spaces that ooze both tranquility and community. They are exceptional hosts who make you feel totally at home and welcomed, while also giving you space to enjoy the place on your terms. I had an absolutely wonderful four nights there, and can highly recommend it. If you go in winter, ask Sheryl or Tim to build a fire in the living room fireplace - Perfect for those windy blustery winter evenings.

  • A unique and cozy spot!

    Lisa2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • The radiant floor heating is toasty warm underfoot. The lighted stairway, window seats, & Buddhist-style arched doorways were just a few of my favorite things about this house/room.

  • I would like to write a bad review (but can't), because I know it will be hard to book this home again if people find out what a great experience we had at this home. The house was well maintained, very clean and well stocked with amenities that you don't always find at other homes. The view of Puget Sound is spectacular and the cascade mountains in the distance (when not cloudy) was beautiful. It was fun to watch the ships passing by both day and night. The seals, eagles and deer were enjoyable company each day. The rooms were comfortable and the quite location was very relaxing. I hope we have many opportunities to return to this gem.

Marrowstone Sanctuary is a fully equipped private house with a gourmet kitchen and was built just two years ago. Most all of the cabinetry and furniture was hand built by the owner, a professional woodworker. It is virtually new. Is very clean very quiet and very peaceful. It is in the middle of beautiful towering fir trees and a two or three minute walk to a public beach, with boat launch and dock and lots of fresh oysters and clams and crab. General store and great beaches a short walk away.
the entire house is for guests on the first floor , ( single story house). there is even a quiet reading bench under a large picture window
Port Townsend, a highly desirable tourist destination

  • Our family enjoyed staying in Heather's home. They have thought of such nice touches. Water carafe and glasses. Bathrobes. Plush towels. Very comfortable beds with fluffy comforters on top. Pictures barely show the hot tub, but it was clean and we so enjoyed that amenity at the end of the day. Lots of vegan options for breakfast to start your day. We enjoyed getting to know Greg, and regretted that we didn't meet Heather. Such a nice find for our weekend getaway.

  • The place was very clean with comfortable beds, shower amenities and a nice simple vegan breakfast. Heather and Greg were super sweet. They suggested routes that we followed for the day and our one day trip to the area turned out fun and beautiful! Beautiful house and Great hosts! Cannot ask for more!

  • If you’re not interested in city surroundings, then this is your place. Set on a lovely farm with a spacious older home, the place has antique, cozy charm, but with all modern amenities expected. The sunrises snd sunsets can be quite photograph worthy, and there is a trail on the property to hike. Hosts are most enjoyable and knowledgeable about the area. Easy access to Port Townsend about 20 min, Sequim about 30 min, and Port Angeles/Olympic NP 50 - 55 min. Highly recommend.
