Had a fantastic weekend with friends at this lodge. Perfect location, not at all far from local amenities but feels like you're tucked away from it all. Visited the Eden Project while we were here which was only 45min drive. Caroline was great with communication. Would recommend staying here for sure!

My family & I stayed at lodge number 11 which is owned by Caroline. We had booked a total of 5 lodges for my wedding and I was picked up at 11 oakridge. It's a beautiful place, clean and tidy. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Perfect holiday get away for families and also suitable for children. We loved our stay at the lodge and we are planning another visit sometime next year. I would highly recommend it.

The Lodge was in a really lovely area which was very green and peaceful. Although just in the border of Cornwall everything was a reasonably short drive away and the country roads were an adventure themselves with stunning countryside and small villages to explore. We got to see a lot and visit lots of places, even as far as St Ives and Penzance with the drive back being a reasonably short distance. We all had a lovely stay and the house was amazing, such a large living area and great kitchen with all you need. The lodge had sky tv and a very good speaker system so we were entertained when relaxing in the evenings. Overall we loved our stay and I can't think of one negative thing at all. Beds were really comfy and we had plenty of pillows and nice duvets. Each room had an en suite which was fantastic. Plenty of room for all 6 of us plus a two year old child too. I would stay at this property again definitely.

High standard place: clean, well located, and cherry on the cake, a great Internet connection which is rarely the case when you stay in the countryside.

A very welcoming property in a glorious location with great views and plenty and of wildlife. Very peaceful, just the sound of a trickling stream and the various species of birds all around. We had lovely weather for the time of year which added greatly to the scenery. Parking more than adequate and spacious, yet comfy, rooms. Three very large sofas and a big six seater dining table offered more than sufficient space for our party of 4 adults and one child. All three bedrooms have their own on suite which was an excellent bonus. Highly recommended!

This was a lovely place for us all to spend New Year (with my partner and 3 children) as it was ideal for country walks but still close enough to shops/restaurants. The only very tiny criticism was that there were no cleaning products at all (and I wouldn't usually bring any with me) so was unable to clean worktops, toilets or bath/showers. Having said that, the property was lovely and clean on arrival and we'd love to stay there again!

I just finished an excellent three night here with my family. The holiday cottage was set on a reasonably secluded private road. It was clean, welcoming, well finished, and perfectly suited for a holiday in the area. In particular, we were surprised at how well stocked the kitchen was - it was much better than your typical self-catering rental. The location was convenient for visiting sites we wanted to see, but I would offer a slight caution that nothing is actually nearby so you should plan on driving an hour to get wherever you'd like to go (Eden Project, St. Ives, Dartmoor, etc).

Everything from start to finish worked perfectly for our stay. Caroline was extremely prompt and helpful with any queries we had, directions and info on how to get to and into the lodge were clear - and the lodge itself, incredibly well appointed - we really wanted for nothing. The location and views really are stunning, and such a beautiful peaceful surround. We recommend this lodge unreservedly and will definitely be coming back - in the summer if we can find availability!.

Our stay at Oakridge Lodge St Mellion was fabulous, the property was even better than the pictures, the living area was very spacious and the kitchen was well-equipped. Lovely cottage, very spacious yet cosy and well decorated, comfy beds, everything you need in the kitchen. It was really peaceful location, slept really well. Host was great, lit the fire in advance of us arriving! Also left a little treat to munch on! We didn't meet Zoe, we were left to enjoy the privacy which worked well for us, however the host did encourage us to contact if we had any problems at all, but they were none, it was perfect! we ate at the Plume of Feathers pub which was only 5mins walking distance, food was lovely and generous portions, really friendly pub so would recommend that.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the The Old Coach House. The stand-out feature for us was the log burner, with lots of kindling provided, made for a cosy evening when the weather was blustery outside. The hosts were very helpful and the check-in was simple. Our best experience on airbnb yet - will definitely book again.

Zoe' cottage is a modern, comfortable cottage located in the heart of the Dartmoor National Park. The cottage made a good base for exploring the National Park and surrounding area. The cottage had everything we needed, was clean and large enough to accommodate the three of us. Zoe was a great host, replied to all my emails quickly, gave good direction to locate the cottage and gave us a welcome pack which was much appreciated. We really enjoyed our stay in Princetown.

We had a lovely time at Miho's place on Dartmoor. The house was nice and cosy and the hosts we're warm and welcoming. On our arrival we booked the Japanese dinner which was fantastic, lots of food and really tasty. I would recommend anyone staying does similar. The house overlooks the moors and we found sheep wandering into the garden one morning - the kids loved that!

Wonderful. Highly recommended. Beautiful views across the Moors, and perfect location to explore the delights of Dartmoor. The cottage is furnished to a very high standard with everything you need for a comfortable and cosy stay, including great kitchen and dining room plus garden table and chairs to enjoy the views. Miho and Pete were so welcoming and friendly and provided great food for breakfast and lovely cakes on arrival. Loved having breakfast outside in the beautiful garden, and walking out of the house directly onto Moor and along to Hamilton Beacon. Thanks Miho, for being the perfect Airbnb host including all the great tips for walks and pub food. Will definitely come back again in the near future for a longer stay.

We had a fabulous time staying at the cottage next to Miho and Peter. They were so welcoming and the cottage had everything we needed. Miho brought us vegetables from her garden and left all the things we would need for breakfast, tea and coffee so we didn't need to rush out shopping! Views from the cottage couldn't be better and we were able to walk on the moors straight from the cottage door. Thank you both for your kindness and hospitality. We hope to be back soon.

I have just got home from a fabulous week at Trengrove Cottage - what a wonderful place! Ian and Derek were superb hosts - excellent communication, and instant response to questions. We've just returned from a long weekend at Trengrove with my two dogs and some friends. It is a truly beautiful house with history & period features but will all the modern home comforts you could wish for. The house is tucked out of the way in lovely countryside but easily within reach of Looe & the local attractions.. the garden is stunning and I would struggle to find any negatives or suggestions on how the cottage could be improved. Ian was a helpful host who seemed to be always available & willing to answer questions or to help make sure our stay was perfect. I hope to return to Trengrove in the near future and my only hesitation in giving such a good review is that I dont want it to be fully booked when I next want to stay there!

Ian' s communication was excellent, no question or query was too small. He regularly kept in touch and shared personal recommendations for activities, places to eat etc. in the locality. What a stunning cottage, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It looked good and felt good, an admirable mix of quality and comfort throughout. The location was perfect, a quiet rural retreat away from everything and everybody in a beautiful part of the country. It was also great to take our much loved and very well behaved dog along. She loved it too. We wouldn't hesitate to book this property again.

We had a wonderful 2 week stay in the Trengrove Cottage. Ian is a great host from the earliest contact, to the much needed directions and all the treats awaiting our arrrival. If you want a bucolic stay in the country side with easy access to all that Cornwall has to offer you can't go wrong with this selection. The cottage has virtually everything you need for an extended stay. We wouldn't hesitate to return to Trengrove! Thanks Ian!

We stayed 6 nights at Trengrove & absolutely loved every second of our stay. Ian was the perfect host, with prompt communication, at times anticipating questions before we even thought it. Ian provided very clear directions for finding the lovely hamlet nestling this wonderfully appointed cottage. Attention has been paid to every detail in the presentation of Trengrove and the cottage is very well maintained. The recently upgraded central heating was great and the slow combustion fire added a wonderful ambience. The location acted as a fantastic central base to explore across Cornwall from Penzance to Polperro, Tintagel, Bodmin Moor, Padstow and so much more. If you're seeking a quintessential Cornwall cottage for a family or group stay with all the modern comforts we highly recommend staying at Trengrove. We definately will be back!

Lovely, Peaceful, rural location. Threshers Barn is located in the tiny hamlet of East Leigh, nr Harberton, about 3 miles from Totnes & Dartington, Dartmoor is about 10 miles one way, the coast 10 miles the other. Harberton and its ancient pub are about 1.5 miles down the road. The local scenery is spectacular, great for walking and cycling although it is very hilly. This is a double room with ensuite shower and loo and lovely views over the hills. There's room for a put-up bed, although it's a bit of a squeeze, however there's a single room next door which I'm happy to include in the booking for the price of an additional guest if it's available. Small family groups have found this arrangement works well. I provide bed and continental breakfast, which includes juice, fruit, home-made bread and a range of cereals. There's free broadband, but even better hardly any light pollution so it's great for stargazing! The farmhouse kitchen/dining room is a communal area. Breakfast is provided here. For guests staying more than a couple of nights basic food preparation facilities are available by previous arrangement. I'm here most of the time and happy to chat and advise how to get the best out of the locality if that is what visitors are interested in. If you're interested in a pilates session during your stay it's a good idea to arrange this before your visit. Stunning views over the South Hams Countryside. Ideal to access the coast and Dartmoor. Totnes, just 10 minutes away is a charming little town. We are in a beautiful, peaceful, rural location, accessible along deep and narrow Devon lanes, that not everyone may be comfortable driving down. We're also not very close to public transport. It is about 5 minutes drive (30 minutes walk) to the nearest village Harberton, which has a lovely pub and 10-15 minutes drive to the nearest town and public transport links in Totnes - about 4 miles away.read more

Sasha was a perfect host and communication with her was great! She gave us fool-proof instructions how to get to her property and it really looks even better in real life. We attended a wedding and didn't have much of a chance to explore Devon, but Sasha's barn would make a perfect location for hikers and cyclists. The room was clean, airy and beautiful and despite catching a nasty case of food poisoning at the wedding, we still got a good night's rest on a comfy bed! The only thing to be aware of is that the bed has a a bar at the foot end and might not be ideal for very tall people (my boyfriend is 6"4 and had to angle his legs to fit in). We had a great time and would definitely recommend Sasha's place to anyone! Thank you, Sasha!

We had booked the double room and a single room with an additional bed in the room to accommodate the four of us. The house is beautifully situated that you can look over a valley. Welcome to my home which is over 100 years old. The area is very residential and you are within walking distance of Plymouth University and the city. 150 meters from a shopping area where there are pubs, restaurants, takeaways and major supermarkets. I have a large double bedroom to rent out, in an old Victorian house 15/20 minutes walk from Plymouth City centre and the Historic Barbican. The house includes a living room, dining room, modern kitchen, four double bedrooms a bathroom downstairs with a shower and toilet, and a shower room upstairs with a seperate toilet. The house is spacious but only has parking for 1 guest car, but there is car space available within a 1 minute walk from the house. Public transport is only a 5 minute walk away, and the railway station is about a 10 minute walk away. Plymouth University is only about a 5 minutes from the house, and the Hoe and the waterfront are about 25 minutes walk from the house. The £40 quoted is for a large bedroom with a double bed, TV and your own sink unit. You can also use the living room to watch TV with me, that is if you want to.(see pictures). There is no cooked breakfast, but tea, coffee, toast and cereals are available if required. It is not intended that the guests use the kitchen to cook meals on a nightly basis. There is lots to see in Plymouth, including the famous Hoe, and the old Barbican. The city has approx. 260,000 people and is within easy reach of Dartmoor National Park, and the Eden Project in Cornwall. There is also a large choice of good restaurants and bars. If you require more than one room I do have another double bedroom which can be booked. Look for "Plymouth City and Historic Barbican 2", and if you can't find it just email me as I may have removed it for a short period of time. I hope you will like your stay here in Plymouth. Ian. Guests have access to both bathrooms, the living room, the kitchen for breakfast, the toilets and of course their bedroom. They can also use the back yard area, especially if it is a nice day to sit outside. As I live in the house I am available at any time to give any help that you need, especially on information about places to visit in Devon & Cornwall. The neighbourhood is very residential. You are about a 5/10 min walk from the main railway station and it is about (150 meters) to Mutlay Plain where you can catch a bus to the city centre or to some other parts of the city.read more

This is a cosy bed with a memory foam mattress, with a private shower room. Also the living space can contain a spare bed and a sofa bed. There is a partition door, which allows for partial privacy. It is possible to accommodate 4 in the space (this is a compact layout but great for value family stays). A travel cot can also be added. Hot and cold drinks included. You are welcome to join us in the communal space. Cooking facilities can be arranged on request. This is a great space for couples or families. The double bed is tucked around the corner and has a sort of door from the main area. The shower room is also private and then the living space can be a single bed and a sofa or two singles or another double bed (its a comfy sofa bed!) You can also access the lounge area and help yourself to hot/cold drinks as well as use our downstairs loo! We live in the main property and you can interact as much or as little as you like. Royal William Yard is a fabulous place to visit with lots of great bars and restaurants. We recommend taking the water taxi around to the Barbican and finishing up at the Fisherman's Arms. We are close to buses 32 (Millbrook - Plymouth) and 34 (Derriford- Royal William Yard - Plymouth). We are 25mins walk from the railway station or 5mins on the 32 bus. We walk to a lot of places and it is easy to walk into the centre. We have lots of people to stay and it is unlikely that you will be the only guests. Our guests often socialise together. If you stay for a longer time, the beds are changed weekly. This is not a hotel but we do our best to make our home accommodating. We are a busy family but we still get the house cleaned twice a week! We have some great trips to share with you and even discounts with a local pub!read more

She showed us where the tea, coffee etc was and left a help sheet in the room explaining the breakfast, how to use the shower etc and also local eatery info. We would love to stay again in future!!

Wow! Wow! Wow! What a beautiful place to stay in Cornwall at St Mellion - it was a wonderful place for our 6 night stay - and we didn't want to leave!!! Downstairs the 3 bedrooms each had their own ensuite - bonus! Upstairs the kitchen was large with all the modern cons and the dining room and lounge room provided plenty of space. The surroundings were very peaceful and a lovely base spot to see the sights of Cornwall and Devon from. Should we ever be able to return to Cornwall for another holiday this would be our first choice to stay. Caroline was very prompt in all correspondence regarding our stay. Thank you Caroline!

Really lovely lodge in a beautiful location. The house had everything we needed and was finished to a high standard. Communication with Caroline was prompt and very helpful. Also, we went swimming at St Mellion resort with some good value passes from Caroline and the pool was great.

Firstly, Caroline was a great host as I had to contact her on numerous occasions to rearrange our holiday and she was most patient and prompt in all our communications. The Lodge was set in the most beautiful scenery and the upstairs living accommodation allowed us to take advantage of the views, as did the patio/verandah on which we ate all our meals. We had a fabulous time celebrating my father's 70th birthday and would thoroughly recommend the whole experience to anyone. Thank you Caroline, you couldn't get better value for money!

We had a fantastic stay in this amazing 2-story house! It is modern, luxurious, and very comfortable; it has everything you need for a short or long stay. All the bedrooms have their own good sized bathrooms with showers. The beds are comfortable and clean. There is a bbq stand outside and nice deck areas. The upstairs kitchen and living space have tall ceilings, and is well decorated with comfortable sofas and a good sized dining table. The kitchen has everything you need, and modern appliances. There is a flat screen TV, fast wifi, and a stereo system with audio and iPod hookup. Highly recommended!

We are a family of 4 with two teenage children. We stayed in no.1 and have to say the whole experience was perfect. Very clean, very well located and the lodge lacked nothing! My only criticism would be if I'd known it was that good I'd have stayed 2 weeks rather than one. The pictures dont do it justice.

Latitude 52 is a landmark building situated about 1 mile from the City Centre, and right opposite Devonport Dockyard. There is plenty of free on street parking, and it is adjacent to numerous bus routes, Devonport Stn, the A38 and the Torpoint ferry. Latitude 52 was previously a sailors rest, where seamen would pay a few shillings to have the luxury of a bedroom and a hot shower instead of sleeping on board. Now it is home to 100 contemporary apartments based around a communal central atrium. A 2nd floor West facing contemporary apartment with views over the dockyard and the river Tamar beyond. There's a comfy double bed with memory foam mattress, a well appointed open plan kitchen / living room The entire place is yours to enjoy I live in the same building so am normally around to lend you a cup of sugar, or provide you with any extra information required about the area. Failing that, my phone is never off! Latitude 52, is based in Devonport, Plymouth Right on several bus routes into pretty much everywhere. Opposite the torpoint ferry to Cornwall. Steve was a fantastic host. Extremely friendly, he was in contact well in advance of our booking, and shared a huge amount of useful information about the flat, location - even menu's for a local Cafe - which will even deliver for you if you tell them you are staying there! The apartment is fantastic - spotless, great central location, very modern, and excellent value (the bed is comfy too - which is always a hit and miss issue when using AirBnB!). I have spent twice as much for rooms that come no where near, and have already secured the apartment for four more nights in August. This is definitely my 'go to' AirBnB apartment fro trips to Plymouth from now on. Thanks Steve! Look forward to staying with you again soon. Anton

Great location overlooking the water and quiet despite being there on a Saturday night. The accommodation is clean and well laid out and has good facilities (large screen TV, great shower, separate bathroom, fully equipped kitchen e.t.c.) so if whether you stay in or go out you will be fine. Loads of restaurants nearby and we didn't try them but they looked good from the outside! One thing to note is that Saturday night parking was a bit tricky and we literally got one of the last spaces at about 7.15pm. Outside of that time parking was a breeze and loads of spaces. Mike was very quick to respond and dealt with any queries speedily and in a very friendly manner. I can definitely recommend them and the accommodation and would stay again without a doubt.

Thank you Nikki and Mike for our great stay at Royal William Yard. The apartment and location was perfect. Royal William Yard is lovely, with some excellent places to eat and a brilliant. The location was fantastic, we got a ferry over to Cornwall from the port which is less than 5 mins walk to Cornwall for a lovely afternoon. We were visiting friends and will definitely be looking to book here again when we come back. Over the weekend there was a local arts and crafts fair in Royal William Yard and I'm sure they must have similar events over the summer. Mike answered all of our questions very promptly before we arrived and they were great hosts. I would 100% recommend this place for a lovely week or weekend trip. Thank you.

Check out all my reviews! This large, top floor flat is wedged at the most central location possible in Plymouth city center. Plymouth university in the front, Drakes Circus in the left of it & Art college at the back. You are near everything, the train & the bus stop & etc, parking can be a bit of a nightmare, but I can help you park 15 min walk away for free. The extra bed in the common area can & will be an airbed. Welcome to Plymouth/Devon. The size & location of this relatively large size property is outstanding! You are near everything! The only problem is you have about 60 steps to climb up this top floor flat. Also this flat is on top of 3 commercial properties! I will work to make this accommodation more homely as time goes by. If you look at my other reviews you will see I strive to keep my guests happy. I hope you become my friends at the end of your stay in Plymouth! You can walk to everywhere you need. there is no free parking right near here, but I can help you to park at a free location if you are coming to Plymouth by car.read more

My stay at Mo's central flat was great! If you don't mind lots of stairs and you want to be right in the midst of the city it's the perfect place. The flat was clean and spacious, the beds were comfortable and it had good facilities (washing machine, fans & heaters). There was no tv, but there is a radio and board games were available. It is within walking distance of the train station & is across the road from the city centre, bus station and the uni. Mo as a host was accommodating, friendly and very helpful. He responded quickly to messages and answered any query I had. I was not able to pick up the keys at the allocated check-in time due to my graduation, Mo was happy to arrange an alternate time, he was lenient with the checkout time. I would be more than happy to stay at this flat again & with this host.

Mo is a fantastic and very welcoming host. He is super friendly and not only did he kindly offer to collect me from the station, he also gave me a tour of Plymouth city centre, showing me the Barbican, Hoe (stunning!) and local landmarks. This meant that I could easily set out on my own later on, with some confidence that I knew where I was going! He is easily contactable and very quick to respond to messages. The accommodation was perfect for my needs. Located practically next door to Plymouth University campus, where I was attending a conference, it is also within easy walking distance to the main shopping centre, Hoe and Barbican, and Plymouth train station. The flat, while basic, has pretty much everything you need for a few days and is ideal for those wanting a more private place to stay in the heart of the city. The road can be a bit noisy at night, but from friends staying in hotels nearby, I think this is par for the course if you stay in the city centre. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Plymouth!

Mo was extremely welcoming, he provided one of the best hospitality I've received from an Airbnb host. He is very quick with answering any questions about my stay. On the day of arrival, our train to Plymouth delayed, causing us to arrive close to midnight, Mo was understanding and had no issue with this, welcoming us with a friendly attitude. He is also very helpful, an example would be when we had three heavy luggages to bring with us during our stay, he kindly offered to drive us from the train station to the apartment. The apartment was cosy and had almost everything I needed. It also fulfil its promises of being very close to the city centre, making it so convenient for us during the stay. I definitely recommend this apartment! If I were to visit Plymouth in the future, I would consider staying at Mo's again.

Our studio is in a beautiful, peaceful location in Dartmoor National Park with stunning views. An ideal spot for exploring Dartmoor, with riverside & moorland walks from the doorstep. You can reach beaches & the city of Plymouth in under 30 mins. Our garden studio was built in 2013 to a very high standard. It is very well insulated, with heating and triple glazed windows. The ceiling is high with exposed beams and the studio has a real oak floor. There is plenty of desk space and a sofa which pulls out into a double sofa bed. The studio has a small kitchen area with sink, kettle, toaster and a small amount of worktop space. The bathroom has a sink with waterfall tap, shower and toilet. There is plenty of shelving for storage. Outside, there is a gravel patio with contemporary table and chairs which you are welcome to use. Towels, bedding, shampoo, conditioner and tea/coffee making facilities are provided. You will be able to access the entire garden studio and the patio and garden outside. You can walk through the field to reach the woods, many Dartmoor footpaths and the river Plym and to walk to local beauty spot Cadover Bridge. Depending on when you come, we are likely to be available most of the time in the main house. We will be on hand if you need anything, such as recommendations for local places to eat, drink, things to do in the area, etc. The studio is in a peaceful spot within Dartmoor National Park, with breathtaking views across the valley to the moorland beyond. An ideal spot for exploring the National Park - the largest area of wilderness in England steeped in history, archaeology, and ancient ruins. A lovely, peaceful spot with unspoilt moorland views - great for walking, cycling and enjoying the outdoors. You can take a tour of Plymouth Sound by boat or go on a river cruise. We are 300 yards (0.5km) from the popular beauty spot Cadover Bridge, which you can reach by car or by walking along the riverside path. Julia was a amazing host, she could not have done more to make us feel very welcome in her home. The house was very well situated, near to where our daughter lives; a blessing as we needed to be close for the arrival of our granddaughter. The room was just as described, large and airy with a fabulous ensuite and we were very impressed with both the facilities and the standard of cleanliness. Julia is very friendly and welcomed us into her home. The house is beautiful, very stylish. There is a small friendly dog in residence too, just wanted me to tickle tummy. Julia took us to our room which was so lovely, so striking and comfortable too. The sun was streaming into the room, beautiful. There was a very well equipped en suite. There were drinks provided in our room and a TV, radio and hairdryer. Julia was very helpful in showing us how to use the equipment. Julia helped us find the best pub in the area for a meal and advised of the marathon that she suspected would cause a delay to our journey, very thoughtful. The breakfast was cereal, orange juice, drinks and toast, everything was served to us with a friendly chat. We enjoyed her company. The whole house was lovely, several delightful touches, and we really enjoyed the experience of being in Julias house.

The delights of Port Isaac, Padstow, Tintagel, Boscastle, and Rock are all a short drive away. Why not come out of season and walk on virtually deserted sandy beaches? •Just 1 mile from the A30 • Trout fishing 200 metres •Close to Rick Stein's seafood restaurant. • Cycle the famous Camel Trail •30 min drive to the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan • Port Isaac and Padstow within easy reach • Golf and children’s leisure park at Trethorne closeby Farmhouse for exclusive guest use, plenty of parking, lovely gardens CHECK IN FROM 4 PM VACATE 10AM Karen your host is on hand to welcome you and offer lots of advice on attractions to visit. Fantastic stay at Rylands farmhouse. Super relaxing, beautiful place to spend the new year. Cosy home with a lovely feel. Thanks Karen!

We enjoyed our stay over Easter Weekend break. Karen waited for us to give a key to the Farmhouse and a brief introduction to the area after we arrived a bit later than we expected. The area is beautiful, near a nice cosy pub and restuarant. Supermarket is not too far away. 30 mins drive to the Eden project, Boscastle town (highly recommended), and Tintagle Castle. The Farmhouse is spacious and beautiful. You don't need anything for the kitchen if you love cooking. The only thing we forgot to take with us was pairs of slippers. Would love to come back to again and recommend for family for a get away break.

We had a wonderful stay at Rylands and Karen was a fantastic host. She was waiting on the driveway to meet us when we arrived and instantly made us feel welcome. The house was lovely and had everything we needed, including Karen leaving milk and teabags for our arrival. The house is in a beautiful location, which is quiet yet near enough to the local pub(by car) and lots of sightseeing. It is also very near to the A30, which is the main road to south Cornwall. The location is also handy for exploring Devon too. Overall, we had one of the best holidays ever and a wonderful welcome place to stay. We would highly recommend.

Karen is a fabulous host who made us welcome from the moment we walked in. She left us milk and chocolate goodies which was a lovely touch. The cottage is beautiful and we had a great family time relaxing with our children and their partners.

Myriam's house is in a nice neighbourhood. The place is very clean and well maintained as shown on the description. Myriam has been most helpful with providing information making our stay more enjoyable. We inadvertently left behind a charger and set of cables, and Myriam has been quick to alert us and offered to send them back to us by postage. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in her place and would recommend this to other visitors to Plymouth, especially those with young kids.

My family and I had a fantastic time staying in Myriam's beautiful house. It was immaculately presented, my young kids loved playing with all the great toys which they'd kindly left out for us to use, Myriam is such an attentive and thoughtful host and answered all of my questions within minutes. It was a great experience and I'd highly recommend staying here.

This was a perfect spot for our plans to explore the SW of England. the flat is in the city but no too far in the city, no terrible traffic, no road noise, but still close to shopping and dinning. The suite was clean and comfortable and Lisa was very helpful with suggestions of places to eat and even called around to find us somewhere for dinner when we arrived late. A very pleasant stay.

Vacation Rental · Plymouth
A beautiful guest house on the edge of Dartmoor offering full board accommodation and guided walks into Dartmoor National Park, Devon, UK.  The accommodation is a series of converted barns, restored to ensure your stay is both beautiful and tranquil. The site and the buildings were part of a working farm over 300 years ago. Based in heartland rural West Devon there is a strong farming community here, that gives it a unique character. The lush green valleys look out on to the dramatic Dartmoor National Park; a walker's paradise! Benefits of our remote location include our own source of fresh spring water, filtered by the woodland behind us and pumped straight up through the farm yard. We also burn sustainable fuel in the form of wood pellets for our heating. The rooms are a collection of old stables and a milking parlour that have been transformed into ensuite double and twin bedrooms. To ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay, each room is also equipped with Freeview television and DVD player, as well as WiFi (beware that the WiFi has adopted the region's pace of life!). As well as a spacious private bedroom, guests will enjoy access to all the outdoor space, which includes a big field and garden to relax in, a sun terrace and the old stone courtyard. Having grown up in West Devon and knowing the area well, there is a treasure trove of adventures to be had! I can help you with ideas as much as you would like. I also offer guided walks into the wild Dartmoor National Park where I can introduce you to the history and the culture of this unique landscape. Our neighbourhood is very quiet! We live down a private lane, tucked in front of a wood. It's beautiful! And at night the skies are dark and the stars are bright. The perfect antidote to your city neighbourhood! A car is the best way to get around. However we do offer a transfer service from the Exeter St Davids and Exeter Airport. See the website for more details. We are a family and whilst you stay with us we will do our best to make you feel welcome and at home. This is a very relaxing and calm base from which to explore Devon and Cornwall and we look forward to meeting you!read more

The best located cottage in Kingsand (probably) for sea views and beaches, Storm Cottage is right on the sea wall with three private balconies with stunning sea views. Newly refurbished, the house is simply styled with a New England feel and touches of Cath Kidston and Mini Moderns. The living room is bathed in light and there are three pubs within 200 yds and two sandy/pebble safe beaches with clear rockpools. Kingsand is situated in Cornwall's forgotten corner - a ferry hop away from Plymouth. The house is an upside down house with the living space upstairs affording beautiful views of the historic Cawsand bay. The main bedroom has stunning sea views with an en-suite basement bathroom with rolltop bath and portholes out to the sea! The decor is calm and creamy Farrow and Ball with a New England feel, with small luxuries like Smeg and Dualit kitchen equipment and home furnishings from Cath Kidston and Mini Moderns, as well as Cornish brands like Seakisses and artist Helen Round. Our cabin style small bedroom with two singles works well for (good) kids too. They'll love being right next to two beaches, with a football sized yard outside. We have a sunny courtyard balcony to dine out on with sea views. For tech junkies we are fully broadbanded up with superfast wifi and a smart TV with DVD. All of the house, if required - with parking for three cars. We can help provide an arrival box of food (please discuss in advance) and help with where to eat etc. Or we can leave you totally alone! Kingsand is a very special place. Located in Cornwall's forgotten corner, it's a twin village is Cawsand. Its three beaches are safe and perfect for kids - and the bay, which looks out to Plymouth Sounds, is a favourite with yachties and swimmers. There are three great pubs, serving good food, a post office and 4 village shops. The village is full of higgledy-piggedly lanes with sea-salt washed pastel coloured Georgian cottages. Foot and car ferries travel regularly to Plymouth, and the majestic Royal William Yard. Dartmoor, Devon and the Eden Project are all with easy reach. By train, disembark at Plymouth or St Germans - and get a taxi to Kingsand. By car, take the Torpoint Ferry from Plymouth, or follow the A38 and turn off at the Trerulefoot roundabout just beyond Saltash. There are up to three parking spaces outside the cottage - and a public carpark 100 meters away. Please note 2 trips cancelled previously on AirBnB due to refurb work taking longer than anticipated. That work is now complete. No dogs due to owners allergies. Sorry! Access to the cottage parking is narrow. Nervous drivers or owners of lovely new cars may want to initially park in the public carpark - and size up the space first.read more

The last house in the hamlet with only fields beyond and very quiet. Tastefully furnished with private outdoor seating area, BBQ & access to newly renovated outdoor swimming pool (photo coming soon) We are also walking distance from the Steiner School, Shumacher College, Dartington Hall, village shop & The Cott Inn. Totnes is less than 2 miles away along a river path. Fantastic walks (or runs) from the door. This apartment is part of the last house in the village with only fields beyond and is very quiet. The loudest sound is usually the whistle from the local steam railway over a mile away. However BT Infinity fast broadband has just arrived & there's pretty good mobile reception (for Devon) so you won't be completely cut off! The apartment is completely self-contained with its own entrance and has a good-sized bright bedroom/studio with a table and chairs, a small kitchen area (with sink, fridge, kettle, toaster, tea and coffee making and a gas cooker with hob and oven), a bathroom (with bath and thermostatically controlled shower) and an entrance hall area with space to hang coats. The room is tastefully furnished with a stone Minster working fireplace, an Art deco desk, Ercol quaker chairs and original oil paintings and etchings. There is also a large 30in LCD TV with DVD player (photo not updated yet) and a Sony clock/radio/ipod player. During the winter firewood is supplied for the open fire. There is also a very sunny, private outside seating area with a table, two chairs and a small BBQ overlooking the front garden. There's plenty of wild life! We regularly see deer and rare Green Woodpeckers as well as all the more common birds. You can park your car right outside the apartment. The 5ft ziplink double bed splits into two singles if required ( photo not yet updated) We can provide a camp-bed for a 3rd person (or child) for a small additional cost. However due to the limited space we don't recommend this for stays of longer than 3 nights maximum. The kitchen is small so if you want to cook 3 course dinners every night it's probably not for you. Full access to the whole apartment. I'm available on phone and email prior to your arrival. And as I live next door I'm there to help if you have any questions or need anything. Where else can you reach the sea in around half an hour or be up on the wilds of Dartmoor in even less time. But there are also fantastic walks from the door. One of the best wild swimming spots in the UK (in the Guardian's top 10) is less than a mile from the house. The medieval market town of Totnes is also less than 10 minutes drive with its many wonderful shops, cafes and restaurants. Totnes Station on the main line to London is less than 10 minutes drive and there are regular buses from the end of our road to the station or in the other direction towards Buckfastleigh and Ashburton. The apartment is also less than 10 minutes drive from the A38, the dual carriageway that links to the M5. The house was built in 1962 and was designed by modernist Arthur Grayson for the novelist and composer Bruce Montgomery. Montgomery was quite well known at the time and wrote the music for the first 6 Carry on movies. He was also a friend of Agatha Christie who apparently came to dinner at the house.read more

Really enjoyed our time here in this sweet little flat. Met Ben breifly, no need for extra contatct, everythig laid out well and explained. Made it to the Cott in for a super supper, and a walk back from Totnes picking sloes in the afternoon / evening sunshine. Excellent value for money for a private stay in a beautiful star filled evening spot. Many thanks. Hope to be back soon.

We had a wonderful time staying with Ben. The room was very comfortable, and it was great having our own entrance, as well as a little kitchenette. We also really enjoyed making use of the working fireplace with plenty of firewood provided! It was a great place to stay for a relaxing break, as it was totally peaceful, but only a short walk (20-25 minutes) from a great local pub, and Totnes is only a short drive away. Ben was extremely helpful with places to visit and cooked a delicious breakfast made with local produce, which we were left to enjoy in our room. Would definitely recommend staying here!

We had a lovely stay at Higher Week. The first night we were there we booked a table at the local Cott Inn. It's a lively local pub with great food, I'd recommend you book. We explored all of the local area the next day, and came back to retire in the annexe. The kitchen is sufficiently equipped so we spent a night in with food and the open log fire. I would recommend Ben's place if you want to explore the Totnes and Dartmouth area.
