Come stay with Vinh & Stuart (Awarded one of Australia's top hosts by Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky & key shareholder Ashton Kutcher. We're Sydney's #1 reviewed hosts too). Find out why we've been positively reviewed 500+ times. Please read our listing first (hint hint) We do not accept reservations from people without a verified profile. And please do not make a reservation request before we have exchanged messages. We're keen to chat 1st and make sure we can offer you a "Five Star Stay"
Please say hello and message us *BEFORE* you make your reservation request... It'll help speed things up, and smooth things out... Please read our listing. It will make getting a confirmed reservation so much easier :) See below (hint hint) -- G'Day from Vinh & Stuart in Sydney! Thanks for coming to check out our listing :) We have another btw... http://www.airbnb.com/rooms/73639 if this one is unavailable "Sydney City Home with Harbour Views"; our spare room in the attic. We're pretty relaxed hosts, and as Sydney's #1 hosts we play an active part in the Airbnb community, but we fully appreciate staying with someone else, in their home home, is not for every-one. We get it, our place isn't for everyone. So we won't be offended if you leave this listing (there's plenty of other great Airbnb listings to choose from that don't offer a hosted experience). As we were among the first Airbnb'ers in Australia (travellers + hosts) we've developed quite an extensive profile based on all the guest questions we've answered over the years. Reading through the description to the end (hint hint), and the "House Rules", will mean you'll find all the important information you need to make your Sydney Airbnb stay a fantastic one. Feel free to send us a message with any question you have about us, our home, Pyrmont, Sydney, or Airbnb... We'd love to hear from you! :D This is not a business, or a hotel. We're casual Airbnb hosts, not hoteliers. This is our family home. We live here. You are not be renting an empty apartment. This is not a 'sub-let'. And we do not have a team of porters waiting to take your bags any time of the day or night. Our "check in" / "arrival time" / "bag drop" is all the same thing. Your room: * Private bedroom (with a lockable door) * Queen size bed * All linen, pillows, blankets, towels, etc, provided too * Fully air-conditioned * Wifi Light Breakfast (cereals, fruits, toasts) included: * Breakfasty things and tasty treats * Seasonal Fruits * Bread for toasting * Total access to "the Seinfeld cupboard" * All the Vegemite you can handle * Teas & coffees - We're espresso fiends, please don't blame us if you leave our place fully wired, or addicted to single origin ;p Guest Bathroom (shared): * Shower with instant (full pressure) hot water * Hair-dryer * Towels provided Your Sydney Home: * Amazing views of the Sydney Harbour, White Bay, and Glebe Island * Three level terrace house * Only 2 minutes walk from the centre of Pyrmont * Just minutes walk from everything Sydney offers * Close to the Airport & all public transport * Quiet street * Outdoor deck with seating and water views * Fully air-conditioned * Free wifi throughout the entire house Couple of things you do need to know before you book: --> STEEP STAIRS - Because the house is on three levels, and the stairs are steep, we wouldn't recommend the property for people who like to travel with lots of luggage, people with any mobility issues, or for children. --> TALK WITH US FIRST - Please send us a message & have a chat with us BEFORE you make your reservation request --> THE AVAILABILITY CALENDAR IS ACCURATE - Please only make a reservation request for the exact (and complete) dates that you require. You can use the calendar on our listing to see our availability month by month. If the dates you require are not showing as available on that calendar, it's because we're booked for those dates... Sorry :( --> AGREE ARRIVAL TIMES BEFORE YOU MAKE A RESERVATION REQUEST - Guest arrival time is 6pm. Please see the "Other Things to Note" for more information about arrival times / check in / bag drop details, etc. Message us first about your intended arrival time BEFORE you make a reservation request. --> HAVE A VERIFIED PROFILE - We're much more likely to accept requests from Airbnb'ers with profiles, friends, & recommendations, etc. In the same way you feel more comfortable knowing more about the people you're staying with, we do too. And a profile pic of a cat doesn't really cut it either... PLEASE ASK - Please just send us a message if you've any questions about staying with us, or visiting Sydney. FIVE STAR STAY - Now here's the most important bit: ** Please use the code words; "Five Star Stay" when you message us about your reservation - Just drop those words into your message to us. It lets us know you've read this information and are ready for a fantastic five star hosted experience with us in our Sydney City home. Can't wait to meet you! cheers, Vinh & Stuart PS Well done for reading this far! Most people don't :( Sorry, this is so long, but we know we've answered all your questions now. And remember to use the code words; "Five Star Stay" in your message.
Pyrmont is an inner-city village of Sydney, only about 2kms from the Sydney CBD (Central Business District) / Core, right next door to Darling Harbour and Chinatown. https://www.airbnb.com.au/locations/sydney/pyrmont Pyrmont has a relaxed community feel with an inner city vibe. Pyrmont is only about 2kms (10 - 15 mins walk) from the centre of Sydney with an extensive range of local restaurants, wine bars, and pubs. There's some seriously good baristas and cafes right close to our home (Go and say hi to Damien & Tim at Bar Zini - it's one of our local faves). There's five star fine dining right through to greasy-spoon takeaways with some of Australia's finest dining restaurants within easy reach. * Darling Harbour and Cockle Bay * Exhibition and Convention Centres * Sydney Fish Markets * Pyrama Point Park * Jones Bay Wharf * The Star (Casino) with Food Halls, Bars, and the Lyric Theatre * Powerhouse Museum * National Maritime Museum Also (back on the food - notice a theme?): * Two grocery / supermarkets within an easy walk * Also a great wine-merchant (and craft beers) on the end of our street * Fantastic deli Signorelli Gastronomia round the corner * Food stores, grocery, and supermarkets * Pyrmont Growers Market 1st Saturday monthly; farm direct & artisan foodies. Pyrmont was once a thriving industrial waterfront / working port area with ship-building, factories and wool-stores. Over the last decade there's been a considerable influx of new residents and commercial / residential development that has transformed the area into a trendy mix of inner city residents and commercial HQs. For example Goo gle has their Sydney office, the "Goo gleplex" just down the road, as is Fairfax Media, NOKIA, and the Seven Network (TV). Media Production houses, boutique cable TV channels, etc. The UTS (University of Technology) campus, the ABC's Ultimo headquarters (Australia's National Broadcaster), the Sydney Convention Centre, and the Sydney Entertainment Centre, are all within walking distance. Sydney University is about 20 minutes walk away (only 10 mins in a cab or bus). Eat, drink, and be merry: Being ex-restaurateurs we'd be more than happy to point you in the right direction for a great meal in Sydney. And there's plenty on tap too. You can't walk more than a block in any direction without walking into the front bar of a local pub, or a wine bar, or a great cafe, or restaurant… To give you an idea, there's 9 of Sydney's top 10 restaurants within easy walking distance: * Rockpool * Momofuku Seiobo * Quay * Sepia * Est * Rockpool Bar & Grill * Tetsuya's * Bentley * The Bridge Room And there's plenty of local colour and great tastes whatever your price point or culinary favourite. With a full range of cafes and restaurants in between, right through to the cheap & cheerful Harry's Cafe de Wheels (a late night Sydney institution), Noodle King, and all the vibrant offerings of Chinatown there's no end of options... Modern Australian, Persian, Goan, Japanese, Indonesian, Malay, Italian, Indian... All at our door Must do's (our local faves) in Pyrmont include: * Bar Zini * Gallon * Blue Eye Dragon * Le Trader * Social Brew * Made in Italy * Vrindavan Indian Restaurant * Hamachi-Ya * Kura * Hannah's Pies * Pioik Bakery * Flying Fish * Signorelli Gastronomia * The Apprentice * Brio * Yuzu * Sokyo * Persian Room * BLACK by Ezzard * Cafe Morso * Little Monk Get the idea? (and we haven't even hit Chinatown yet!) Pyrmont is really close to the Sydney CBD and the other inner city villages: * An easy 10 minute walk into the city centre * Shopping: QVB, TGV, etc… "Lacroix Sweetie Lacroix" * Circular Quay, the Sydney Opera House, and BridgeClimb * King Street Wharf * Museum of Contemporary Art * Art Gallery of NSW * Sydney Museum * Hyde Park * Botanic Gardens * Chinatown, Paddy's Markets, and the Chinese Gardens * Surry Hills * Paddington * The historic Rocks area * Kings Cross * CarriageWorks Famers Markets @ Eveleigh every Saturday * Pyrmont Farmer Markets 1st Saturday of the month

  • Vinh phoned to be sure, that we arrived as forseen and received us very friendly in his and his friend's Stuart home. He informed us about the local traffic and gave us the'opal' tickets for transportation. Further he asked us what we wanted to do in S. and advised us what best to do and when.

    Doris2015-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • I had an amazing stay with Stuart and Vinh. They were fantastic hosts. Their home is warm and cozy. Loved the nice, modern bathroom and comfortable (URL HIDDEN) were very welcoming and friendly and full of great information about the local area. The neighborhood they live in is filled with wonderful (non-touristy restaurants) and only 5 minutes or less to reach the light rail on foot. Very centrally located. You can walk everywhere or take rail or ferry transport. I would highly recommend staying here and I will too on my return visit to Sydney. P.S. Their little dog Kenji is so cute!!

  • Only got to meet Vinh quickly but he is a great, friendly and helpful host. The place is very neat and tidy. I love how quite and peaceful the place is and that it actually is only about 10 minutes walk to Darling Harbour!

    Tony2012-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Vinh and Stuart are the nicest host I've had. Their place is clean, beautiful and well equipped. The location is also perfect, quiet and safe but still close to the CBD. Kenji is an adorable dog, both me and my sister loved playing with him.

  • Vinh and Stuart were excellent hosts. They were quick to respond to any questions before arrival and made us feel really welcomed while we stayed at their place. The location was really convinient and close to all of Sydney's major attractions. I definitely recommend staying at this location.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed with Vinh and Stuart early Jan. 2013. The house was very neat and clean as well as our bathroom and our room. We had free coffee, tea, and breakfast in the morning which is great when your on a budget. We had a great experiance staying here, we would definitely do it again. Vinh was very accommodating, he helped us out so much, whether it be which bus to take or which places to eat, he was really nice. I sprained my ankle in the blue mountains and he gave me ice to help with the inflammation. We even forgot our luggage in the room when we checked out and when we came back from the airport, he had our luggage ready outside and gave me extra cash for the taxi cab. We can't take you enough for your hospitality Vinh!!! Definitely stay here, its walking distance to everything, with a great host too!

  • We enjoyed staying at Vinh & Stuarts home! They were very friendly and helpful! Our room and the bathroom was large and clean! The apartment is very good situated to the center of Sydney (15 min walk), and very quiet! We fell in love with the dog! ;) Thank you! :)

This place is awesome! A 2 bedroom London style Mansion Block (or NYC style) apartment in the heart of Sydney, located in a quiet street moments from Oxford St, Hyde Park, CBD, Surry Hills & Kings Cross. Newly renovated & 100% beautiful.
Having lived in a couple of mansion blocks in central London, I was so surprised to find that style of accommodation right here in the heart of Sydney. Beyond trying to 'sell' how cool the space is, my honest opinion is that not only is this building truly beautiful, it must be (I think) a truly rare and fortunate find in central Sydney. Lucky me/you! :) The room itself is a double with queen bed. Built in mirrored wardrobes, super comfy bed, window into the shared light well for natural light, all new furniture. There are two bays in the wardrobe and I use one as a linen cupboard. There is stacks of room for your stuff in the other bay :) The bathroom is shared, with shower & bath, vanity, and loads of cupboard space for your personal care products. The living area combines kitchen, lounge and a cupboard laundry with washing machine and dryer. There is also a drying rack. The lounge includes a small Juliet balcony accessed through french doors and looks out onto lush deciduous trees (sadly they loose their leaves in winter).
This is my 5th residence in Sydney since moving here in 2012. Having lived in Pott's Point, Kings Cross, Wooloomooloo and Surry Hills, I can now say that Darlinghurst is my personal favourite location of all these, mostly becuase it's right in the middle of them. Surry is 5 minutes walk, KX and Pott's is 7. And you are in fabulous darlo already ;) Bondi is a 30 minute cycle or bus ride away, and in summer I go most weekends to Tamarama, a smaller beach next to Bondi that I really enjoy. If you like the gym, I recommend Fitness First or City Gym, 5 minutes away. The infamous Oxford St is also 5 minutes away for nightlife, Kings Cross, CBD, Circular Quay, Hyde Park, The Domain and Botanical Gardens, Sydney Opera House, all in super close proximity. This is a great spot for visitors and to live too. Check out Time Out Sydney and Urban Walkabout Sydney for details on all these great neighbourhoods. Just do a web search. The site won't let me give you the links directly.
  • I really enjoyed staying at Reid's place. Reid is a great host, very friendly and helpful. The check-in process was super. Reid really know how to host properly. The communication with Reid was excellent and I received quick responses whenever I had any questions. The place is clean, modern, stylish and conveniently located in the heart of Sydney. Everything is in walking distance. The kitchen and living room are spacious with modern appliances in good quality. My room was comfortable and nicely furnished with a shared bathroom. I recommend this place to other visitors in Sydney.

  • Staying at Reid's place was amazing. The space itself was perfect; the bed was comfy and the apartment provided everything you could possibly need. Everything was in very close proximity, including shops and public transport. Reid was incredibly helpful and friendly, and was happy to have a conversation or leave you to your own devices. Overall a perfect experience, I'd love to stay at Reid's unique space again if I'm ever in Sydney!

    Amber2016-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Reid was a perfect and welcoming host. He was very nice in providing me with maps and other materials in order for me to enjoy the best of Sydney. The room itself is nicely decorated and does look like exactly what is shown in the pics. The apartment is cozy and the location is great, very close to metro/train station Museum and the best spots in town. Recommended!

My 34 sqm studio is quietly tucked away yet in the middle of everything. There are a gazillion cafes/bars/supermarkets right downstairs and weekend markets across the road. A pleasant walk by the water takes you to the art gallery, botanic gardens and opera house.
The apartment is on the border between the red-light district (home to some hard characters, weekend party-goers and backpackers) and the gentrified part of the neighbourhood (the 'Paris end' of Potts Point). The 1937 building, originally nurses quarters, definitely needs a facelift but retains its period charm. My flat is renovated so feels fresh. The bathroom has been brightly painted since the photos but the shower temperature is tricky to get right so I often took baths living there, and the bath is nice and deep. Nestled between other apartments overlooking the high street and rear laneway, my flat is on the first floor and faces into a lightwell. This means there is no grand vista but also no street noise, and it's temperate with plenty of natural light. It feels spacious for a studio as the bathroom, kitchen, walk-in wardrobe and bed nook are separate from the central living area. It has a very comfortable double bed and a good fold-out single bed. Below are a patisserie and Thai take-away so kitchen sounds and smells can waft up (I've never found this too intrusive but some guests have mentioned it, see reviews). The most frequent positive feedback I get from guests is around the apartment's decoration/style and location.
I love the harbour-side walk to the Andrew Boy Charlton swimming pool, across the water from the strangely beautiful naval base. The Saturday food markets have a great vibe (I recommend The Butchers Table stall sandwiches and the Vietnamese salads and pho) and the patisserie right next door does amazing chocolate mousse cake and croissants. If you exit the back door of the building you open it onto a tiny hole-in-the-wall cafe called Room 10 which does excellent, and marvellously convenient, coffee. Bourke Street Bakery has underground seating which is warm in winter and cool in summer. The walk to Beare Park on the water takes you through residential streets with nice art deco architecture and past the historic Elizabeth Bay House, which itself has a lovely public garden across the road - both good spots for a picnic. Rushcutter's Bay is a more expansive park, good for jogging, frizbee, playgrounds etc. For brekky I go to a cafe behind my building called Petrol (terrible name, slow service, excellent food!) There is a lot of nightlife in the area - the gay clubbing precinct is nearby, tawdry Kings Cross is in full swing on weekend nights and there are some more sophisticated small bars in Potts Point and on Victoria Street. Close to Sydney's major attractions, the area is full of hotels & hostels, a tourist information booth and places to hire travelling vans, book outback adventures etc. There's an airport shuttle bus which loops around the streets every half hour and the hop-on hop-off city tour bus stops outside my building.
  • Ariana's apartment was exactly as described and is a comfy, quiet nook away from the bustling Sydney streets. The location was perfect for us and I would definitely look to stay again next time I'm in Sydney. Ariana was kind enough to look after our bags on our last day since we had a late flight that evening. Thanks for sharing your home with us :)

    Vanessa2015-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Ariana is place is excellent. Great location, lots of shops, restaurants and cafes in the neighbourhood. It s a very lively area, but the apt is actually avery quiet. Me and my parents we all sleep very well during our stay at Ariana's place. highly recommend

    Meg2015-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • It was home away from home. The place is so cute and petite. Ariana was such a pleasure to deal with and very thoughtful person. I'd definitely stay there again when in Sydney.

    Vanessa2014-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Ariana was helpful and quick to reply and very polite. All tips and instructions in the guide she put together were clear and useful. Thanks a lot!

    Daniel2014-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Ariana's place is amazing and she is a great host. It's very easy to get there by just a 2-3 minutes walk from Kings Cross Station and it's actually very safe even at night. If you want to take a walk to the city it will take around 15 minutes to QVB area. Her place is very clean and you will find what you need like towels, hair dryer and wifi. She also has this welcoming booklet which answers a lot of questions you may have. She's also always in contact, advising good spots to go and very helpful. There were three of us staying over for 9 days and we all loved the place and had a really nice experience in Sydney :)

    Rebecca2014-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • my family stayed at Ari's place for Xmas and such a good experience with everything. the location is great, we enjoyed the walk from the studio for sight seeing (the royal botanic garden, state library, opera house, art museum) and we saved just by going down to the local stores and prepare our own foods everyday! Heaps of cafes and restaurants just walking distance. 5 min to train station** the Sunday market i have to mention is a fantastic experience. we were able to buy very good quality stuff for a bargain. this Sunday market is just opposite the studio and you can't miss it if you step out on a Sunday morning (i think it is open from 10 to 3). Ari is very helpful although she was not there to receive us due to our flight schedule, we were able to get everything organized without a prob. Ari also dig out a bunch of chopsticks for us (laugh), a rice cooker for mum and this made our stay so easy. Thanks Ari for letting us stay. strongly recommended. also, this is my very first AirBnb booking, Ari has given me such a good experience.

    viki2015-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you to Ariana who was such an amazing host. Went out of her way for us and made sure we had a comfortable stay.

"After staying in many Air BnB's around the world, we have to say this was one of the best for value, safety, location and ease. Highly recommended." (A recent guest) We are very proud of our apartment which we have attempted to create with much love and caring. It is constantly well reviewed ... (out of 132 guests we have received 5 / 5 star ratings 83% of the time and are super hosts) so why don't you be the judge xx
Located in an iconic Art Deco building in the heart of Darlinghurst, this one bedroom apartment offers all the luxuries. Recently refurbished and decorated it has everything you require including amazing views to the city skyline. It is within a security block and has a luxuriously appointed queen sized bed, large ensuite bathroom, well stocked kitchen i.e. upright oven and hotplates, microwave, fridge and fully appointed kitchen appliances – (ps I love to cook…and I need the right implements)...Important essentials that will ensure that you will not starve when you first arrive ….dining room table and chairs, lounge, coffee table, book collection and television (with DVD player) and music system. The apartment has unlimited Wifi because we know that you need that – just like we do. Views apparent from every window including views of the opera house and the Harbour Bridge (even from the toilet– no less) Although we are very proud of our unit and the way it presents, the jewel in the crown of this apartment occurs on the upper common rooftop deck area where there are gas operated barbeques and tables and chairs, a newly renovated pool and surrounding gardens and coin operated washing machines and dryers. All of this in a setting which has breathtaking views of the harbour bridge, the opera house and all that Sydney has to offer.
Darlinghurst is the hub of the city. It's an amazing little inner city village full of gorgeous restaurants and cute coffee places and wine bars but the best part is that it's close to everything! Darlinghurst is edgy – but we LOVE that edge because it means interesting and different. You can literally walk anywhere you want in the city within about 25 minutes. The Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Surry Hills, Elizabeth Bay, Potts Point, Paddington, CBD are all within easy walking reach and take a short bus trip to the beautiful Bondi Beach.
  • Had such a great stay! The apartment was amazing and it's really easy to get around Sydney from there. We were well looked after and would highly recommend Sharon and Mal's apartment to anyone wanting to stay in Sydney!!

    Kate2015-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment is just stunning, with everything you could want - even an incredible rooftop pool with views of the opera house! I didn't meet Sharon in person because I collected the key from a neighbour, but she was very thoughtful in the way she'd stocked the kitchen, fridge and pantry with all kinds of little things we might need. She was very patient with our very early arrival and quite late check-out - really appreciated the effort in accommodating our awkward timing! Aside from the apartment, the Darlinghurst area is a fabulous base to explore Sydney - close to King's Cross station and walking distance to the CBD and harbour. I would recommend it to anyone.

    Frances2014-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed in this lovely apartment for two weeks while on a work trip and I could not have been happier. The location is ideal, there is no shortage of great cafés, bars and restaurants close-by. I was lucky that the weather was so nice in winter, so I was able to stroll to my meetings which were mostly in the CBD. The apartment is bright, happy and welcoming - it was so lovely to have such beautiful views of the Harbour Bridge through the windows, and from the rooftop area. Sharon and Mal were such thoughtful and generous hosts. The facilities were excellent and the homely touches instantly made me felt welcome in their apartment. Another huge thank you for being so warm and welcoming. Don't think twice if you're considering this apartment - it's a gem! I will definitely be staying here again during future Sydney visits.

    Kristine2014-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay at Sharon and Mal's place. From the check-in through to checkout everything went smoothly. Sharon was able to accommodate our request for a late checkin, meeting us at the train station to provide us with the keys. The apartment itself is as described, well equipped with great views. The neighborhood is lively with lots of activity. It is close to transportation options and it is a walkable distance to the Opera House. Highly recommend Sharon and Mal's place. Will be top of our list, if and when we travel to Sydney again.

    J2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • There is a charm to this small apartment in a district of Sydney that is being gentrified before our eyes. Mal and Sharon were amazingly accommodating, and the amenities of this place are due in part to their thinking of everything. Almost nothing was left to chance, and when we had a question about the softness of the mattress, Mal and Sharon brought in a mattress topper than helped solve the problem. One feature we were thrilled to find: a DVD player embedded into the TV, so we could watch movies we had brought with us on those nights when we weren't going out. Moreover, they called to be sure we had everything. What nice people!

    Dan2015-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • It was so wonderful! Everything was as expected. The place was so clean. We enjoyed breakfast on the rooftop a couple of mornings and the apartment was so cozy. It felt like we were staying at a friends place. Thank you guys for everything!

    Alli2015-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Sharon and Mal's apartment was in the perfect lively neighborhood. The little details they thought of such as milk, coffee, and other niceties was a super personal touch and well done. The details were accurate as are the photos. This place is perfect for one or two guests but would be great for a little wine gathering too. The views were spectacular and the bed comfy. Not that those two things go together but the harbor view was best from the bedroom. It felt much like our own apartment and much appreciated.

    Kimberly2015-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the flat, for me there was some kind of aura or good vibrations, that gave me the idea of being home. Its great to use the rooftop to chill out or to contemplate. Nice neighborhood. Would love to come back.

Decidedly cool. Chill out in this bright & beautiful Darlinghurst Studio, right in the heart of the best of Victoria St cafe's, back street art galleries, theatres plus chic eateries on Stanley St. Live in Art Deco history with best view in town! NEWLY RETILED BATHROOM AND ENTIRE STUDIO PAINTED :-) Entire home, not shared. Last minute bookings cannot be accepted after 4pm same day and we also need 2hrs notice to organise cleaners. This top floor apartment (5th floor, accessible via lift or stairs) with very high ceilings and 1920s heritage art deco features is a space that is full of light all day long with an incredible vista day or night. Don't stay here if you don't love character with an oldy worldy Parisian loft feel as this studio is filled to the brim with character and charm for those who love original details. Included in the old world charm are old world building sounds like a distant clunking sound when the lift is operated. Older buildings were built so well and the thick walls mean no neighbour sounds, the culdesac street means no traffic noises, but as mentioned the lift is heritage listed (as is the building) and sounds like the radiator of an Art Deco NYC building. Brilliant for a single or couple, sleeping maximum two people, on the chiropractic, comfortable queen bed. The kitchen is separate to the main living space, in a small galley way, with a full sized fridge, gas stove and oven (no microwave). No need to sleep in the kitchen in this studio! The kitchen and bathroom both have stunning original tiles with a huge beautiful deep bath, so if you're a bath person, you will be in heaven, enjoying the lovely cross breeze (no AC but none needed!) after a day of walking around the sites of Sydney. Darlinghurst is a destination for Sydney's best restaurants and bars, so you will hear the occasional passerby however this building is on a cul-de-sac, so is one of the quieter streets in the area, as there is no road traffic sound below. People are often surprised at how quiet such an inner city area can be, perhaps as we are on the top floor. Studio has free internet wifi and coin laundry facilities on the top floor. The roof top also has a fantastic view of the Harbour Bridge and Domain Park. Why pay hotel rates when you can have your own private home, equipped with everything you need for 2 people? Darlinghurst has colourful characters and is constantly evolving. Where better to stay than right in the heart of it all with the best restaurants that Sydney has to offer - not to mention the original Messina Icecream Shop! Please do not ask to view the property prior to booking. It is impossible as Airbnb does not allow us to exchange contact details until bookings are confirmed. Guests have free unlimited wifi, access to a small original Art Deco wardrobe, under bed storage perfect for suitcases, the three ottomans also have storage, use of bathroom and 80% of the kitchen. We reserve a cupboard and one trunk, these are the only areas that are locked. I am a super speedy responder and here to answer and assist with any questions at all. We like to know when guests have settled in, so that we know guests have their keys and all is as expected. We also keep this in our rental agreement as we need to know if anything is not working or broken upon arrival so we can fix and replace items. Sometimes it is just a matter of usage instructions and rather than guests tell us at the end of their stay that items weren't working we would prefer to know so that we can send instructions if there is any issue. This leafy inner city suburb offers stunning residential streetscape. A pocket of pulsating options, the streets come alive at night in this most convenient of locations in Sydney. Darlinghurst is a very safe inner city suburb. The closest train station, Kings Cross, is sometimes sketchy, but like all blue light areas, there is a high police patrol, so we feel very safe there. Darlinghurst is the next suburb and has a cafe and restaurant vibe, so it's very different to Kings Cross. Darlinghurst has all the best attractions and is walking distance to CBD, the harbour and Oxford Street shopping. There are many buses and trains all within a close walking distance from our studio. Our street has a 99% walking score! You can walk anywhere to Sydney's biggest attractions and just a bus to beaches such as Bondi Beach :-) Rates are seasonal and change throughout the year. NYE dates require minimum one week booking. To find the rates and date availability, please go to our home page and click your dates on the top right hand corner. This will also provide rates for dates selected. The studio does not have AC. Installing AC in this studio would be in vain as the studio does not need extra cooling. The studio is on the top floor and has a wonderful cross breeze that all have loved and enjoyed. It also faces east so only gets the morning sun, not the hot afternoon western sun, were it on the other side of the building it would be a different story. The studio has a large ceiling fan if extra cooling is required, but beyond the fan, AC is not needed at all.

  • My vacation in Sydney was one of the best vacations I've ever had, and Angelique's lovely place had a great part in making it so. Angelique was kind and easy to communicate with, check-in and check-out went smooth. Her place is very well-designed, and puts you in a mood of 'coolness'... The apartment enjoys lots of fresh air and sun light and is very convenient. Location - super! The only way you could be a bit disappointed is if you're planning on cooking meals for 10 people, as the kitchen is rather small. For me - it was just enough for what I needed: little breakfasts and light dinners. I preferred having my bigger meals in the excellent restaurants / cafes that you can easily find nearby. I would recommend any one to stay at Angelique's lovely studio and would definitely be back there next time in Sydney.

  • I had a wonderful stay at Angelique's charming studio! It was clean, cosy, and full of character with its Art Deco details and furnishings. It's location is great; you can walk to King's Cross station within minutes. Angelique was also very prompt with her responses to my queries; she's a lovely host and I was so sad when I had to leave. I'll definitely return here again if I were to return to Sydney.

  • Enjoyed our stay very much. Owner was very accessible and prompt to reply. Great little studio apartment in a lovely older style building. Clean and everything we needed for a week long stay. Close to great food and coffee. We didn't have a car but was only a 5 - 10 minute walk to Kings Cross Station and buses close by. Nice places to walk as well. Only down side was it was a bit noisy but this is life in the city, I guess.

    Jane2014-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a perfect week! The apartment is situated in a great neighborhood, our favorite in Sydney. There are a lot of nice bars and restaurants around the corner. Don't forget to visit the Infinity Bakery to buy the best bread you ever had. It was quick and easy to communicate with Angelique, even using iMessage to avoid expensive roaming rates. If you are visiting Sydney, this is a really good place to stay.

  • The Darlinghurst Studio was fantastic. This is what Darlinghurst - and Sydney - is all about: Art Deco charm in a wonderful location. Angelique was great to deal with - super responsive and willing to help with any problem. Can't recommend highly enough.

    Charles2013-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Angelique was very responsive and attentive to all my concerns and questions. And she helped me with early placement after a long flight. Apartment and house are great, starting with the old-fashioned elevator and up to a awesome view from the roof. The apartment is close to all the central districts, bars and restaurants, bus stop and metro stations. The unit is very clean, bright and very cozy with a lot of interesting details. This apartment has everiyhing necessary for a comfortable stay. The best conditions which I ever lived! When I had problems, Angelique helped me as fast as she could.

    Sergei2013-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • The view from this studio can't be beat. We got to enjoy a gorgeous sunrise every morning. The place itself was very boutique-like. Each piece of decor looked like it was thoughtfully hand picked. Super comfy bed and sofa bed. And Angelique was very nice and responsive!

  • Jared's place was great. Central to everything in Sydney, as listed. Spacious studio and large bathroom. We only stayed the night but there are enough supplies to cook meals as well. Small chocolates on arrival was a nice gesture.?

    Cynthia2016-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment was EXACTLY like the photos show, clean, modern and spacious. The location was amazing, perfect for exploring Sydney by foot or to get to b uses and train stations. A neighborhood we felt very safe in and a secure building. Best of all was our lovely host Gabbie (working wth jared). She was lovely, very helpful and thoughtful. Will definitely stay here again when back in Sydney.

    simran2016-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Apartment was great, central location, clean, and accurately represented. However this was the worst experience with a host I've had with over 20 or so Airbnb stays. I told him I would be there at 5pm, and waited for just under 45 minutes for him to arrive. The worst part is that he said 3 times that he was "2 minutes away", and I received no apology whatsoever from him once he got there.

    Drew2016-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely and clean apartment. Excellent location - we walked everywhere coz of the apartment's central location.

    Jun2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great apartment. Easy check-in and check-out. Great central location, close to many shops and parks. Highly recommended!

    Lukas2016-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment's location is convenient and easily accessible by train and bus. The bed is very soft. It would be better if there are more mirrors in the apartment. There was no communication problem with owner, Jared. However, Jared isn't the one who hand over the key so we need to liaise with another pax for check-in. The pax isn't easy to communicate or understand our simple English. Despite confirming multiple times of check in time, he still kept on sms/call you for your check-in time and he was late for our check-in without any attempt to preempt/contact you for his lateness and no reply call/sms when you attempt to contact him. Moreover, no apologies given when he was here. Instead his attitude was kinda of rude. Anyway, thanks for letting us check-in earlier at 1pm than the usual time 2pm and setting up the sofa bed for us.

    Mei Yan2016-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot to stay , clean and comfortable apartment , very easy to communicate with , walking distance CBD , shopping and restaurants

    Debbie 2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Overall the stay was ok. The proximity of the apartment to public transportation, restaurants, and bars were great. If you plan to stay here, I would caution on using the light switches. The way they were installed wasn't great and was difficult to use (can be easily popped inwards) since you have to press inwards to turn on/off the light. Also, the dryer in the apartment doesn't work. We had to use one in the balcony. Overall you'll mainly be communicating with Gabbie if you need anything rather than Jared.

You arrive at this beautiful private studio via stairs through a rainforest garden. Then there is that view! A few minutes stroll to the patrolled beach, walk to lake, Avoca theatre, shops, markets, cafes and all that Terrigal has to offer too.
  • I am feeling very relaxed after my one week stay at Sea Salt North Avoca. Stunning views from this very comfortable stylish studio. Karen and Bruce are amazing hosts going the extra mile to ensure I had all I needed including food in the fridge, fruit and flowers to welcome me. The studio is a short walk to the beach and a local cafe with Terrigal and Avoca a short drive away. Hopefully I will return some time in the not to distance future.

    Maria2016-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Karen's luxury studio! It was perfect in everyway! We will definitely be back! Could not recommended a better airbnb and host!

    sally2016-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • We were to stay 2 nights but wished we could've stayed longer. We felt very welcome. Bruce and karen was very informative about the unit and how things works. And what a lovely surprise - the apartment was fresh, super clean with modern kitchen, and bathroom. EXCELLENT VIEW!! Warm and cosy. a lovely open plan feel, we will definitely stay here again if we return. And this time, it will be longer.

    Camille2016-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Karen and Bruce were lovely hosts! They even had a cheese and fruit plater and champagne for when we arrived. The view was absolutely amazing and such a lovely area. Will definitely be staying there again!

    Jordan2017-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • This has been to date one of my favourite getaways. Comfortable private and the location is prime . Karen & Bruce are inviting and made the stay relaxing and personable . Their property is beautiful and thoughtful champagne and breakfast on arrival . Also I couldn't complain with organic shampoo and a hair dryer . I would recommend this as tropical tranquil escape . I'm sending friends your way Karen and Bruce thank you !!!!

    Natasha2016-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • A huge thankyou to Karen and Bruce for making us feel so welcome and comfortable. I can't recommend Sea Salt enough, such a beautiful location and gorgeous interior - the bath was a particular favourite of mine. We had everything we needed and more, what with all the little goodies that Karen & Bruce had left. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer - will definitely be back later in the year! We felt so looked after, and its the perfect get away spot without being too far away from the city.

    Katherine2016-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • Karen was an amazing host and the place was stunning! My partner and I had a great and comfortable stay and Karen's attention to detail made it truly memorable! We will definitely be back and would highly recommend!!

    Lizzy2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Karen & Bruce made me and my partner feel right at home. We were welcomed with a smile and the place was amazing. The view & vibe was just what we needed. The house was perfect with all the features and appliances you would need, we honestly felt like we were at a 6 star hotel. I would highly recommend this as a perfect getaway from the hustle and bussle of the city, you honestly could not ask for anything more. Thanks again Karen & Bruce - we will see you again. : )

  • Lindsay and Minny's place was a 'little slice of paradise'. Better than a hotel stay; private, quiet and secure with off-street parking which was a real bonus. The best part was drifting off on the comfortable lounges in the enclosed decking area and listening to nature. I will definitely stay here again!

  • The accommodation was true to its description, and met or exceeded my expectations in all respects. It was clean, comfortable and tastefully furnished. The location is great: in a quiet street, an easy walk to the ferry, cafes and restaurants. Lindsay and Minny were very welcoming and I would not hesitate to stay with them again.

  • We loved the location, two blocks from shopping--restaurants, boutiques Two blocks from the wharf and a short ferry trip to Circular Quay, Darling Harbor etc. Quiet, safe location. Beautiful quaint neighborhood of restored early Australian cottages. Hosts were friendly and helpful. We would recommend this Airbnb and stay there again ourselves.

  • Brilliant! :-) Our long-overdue return visit to Sydney was made all the more perfect thanks to our experience at Lindsay and Minny's B&B. Clean, quiet - very private - and just minutes to restaurants, bars, and the Balmain ferry, we couldn't have been happier. The parking pass was a plus, the washing machine an unexpected bonus, and the pear cider and fruit platter we devoured on arrival could not have been more welcome. We would recommend and return without hesitation. Age & Jill, Nashville, TN. :-)

  • Lindsay & Minny were very helpful & accommodating. The suite was absolutely charming, a lovely place to stay, we loved every minute we were there. Very clean & pleasant & well situated for Balmain & the buses & ferries into the city. We would definitely stay again & highly recommend this lovely place. Kath & Lynda. October 2015

  • Lindsay and Minny's place was the perfect location for our trip to visit family in Balmain. It was just a block to the cafes, supermarket, gastropubs and all the other goodies on offer in Balmain - including lovely harbourside parks and walks. The apartment was very compact, but modern and had everything we needed - including a heater because it was a very cold winter week!

    Angela2017-06-24T00:00:00Z

  • This was my idea for a birthday celebration and it turned out to be wonderful. It was so chilled and relaxing and even though the weather wasn't the best, Damon was able to make it the best it could be. He also catered for my friend that was feeling sea sick where he then took us to a nice quiet bay with calmer water and we just relaxed. Damon was a great host catering for the needs we had. It was a great day

    Karin2017-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic Evening! =) I surprised my partner with a booking with Damon! From the moment I booked, everything was tailored and organized for us. He picked us up at the location of our choosing, recommended the best spot for views while we enjoyed the harbour and shuttled us right back the next morning. The boat is fully equipped and even featured a bose speaker system! Great experience and definitely at a great price! High recommended for a local Sydney-sider!

    Shirley & J2017-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We were researching a boat Airbnb for a Saturday night on Sydney Harbour for Bens parents' last weekend in Sydney before travelling back to London. Damons boat price was comparable to others yet no one else offered the choice of where to pick you up, moor and drop you off. Damon graciously agreed to picking us up from Manly Wharf, which for our beaches location was perfect for us. We opted to overnight at Taronga Zoo which was beautiful - we got impeccably beautiful views of the harbour bridge and opera house with a spectacular sunset over the city, whilst behind us the bush and the sounds of wildlife - including those in the zoo - behind us. The boat itself I will describe as rustic charm, but it is spacious inside and on deck and the large open hatches provide plenty of fresh air and views is stars from the beds. We brought our own cheese platter, dinner and breakfast which was cooked on a camp stove with basic curtlery and cooking g utensils, however you had everything you needed. Damon provided plenty of bottled drinking and washing water and we all had a comfortable nights sleep. The next morning Damon returned at a time of our choosing for our sail back to Manly. An amazing experience from an interesting and gracious host and the best view in Sydney for a nights accommodation hands down.

    Lia2017-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Damon was wonderful. We chartered his yacht for a sunset sail to celebrate our Nephew's graduation. At our request, he picked us from darling Harbour and dropped us at Woolloomooloo for dinner in continuation of our celebrations. All at times of our choosing. It was amazing how 10 of us fitted in his small and old yacht. I think that tightness of space made for close bonding, cozy and warm experience. I don't think the bonhomie and laughter stopped in the 2 1/2 hours. Damon never once lost his good humour and most importantly, his smile. Everyone had a most wonderful time and the Harbour was magical. Thank you Damon.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment. The location was perfect with 20 mins walk to the Opera house and was as quick to walk as taking public transport, facilities available were clean and ready to use. The host has prepared a red handbook with information on the area, places to eat and places to go out, there were also public transport top up cards to use if you need them. The images provided we found to replicate what we saw when we arrived and as this was our first time using airbnb for a family trip was a relief! One small note is the apartment is up 6 flights of stairs with no lift.

  • Beautifully furnished boutique apartment set in a great location near cafes and pubs, and only a short stroll from the city. Morag was very accommodating with storing our bags after our early flight which was much appreciated.

  • Close to everything and a short walk to city. Very neat place with everything you need. Morag the host was great with her communication. Value for money.

  • Great place! Convenient location. Morag was a very nice host.

    Teddy2015-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Myself, my partner and my parents stayed at Morag's apartment for three nights. The apartment was clean and spacious with a comfortable sofa bed. It is within easy walking distance to many places of interest and also has a bus stop nearby. We found Morag's information booklet very helpful. We would definitely recommend this apartment.

    Laura2016-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first visit to Australia. Morag's apartment is just great, it has everything we need, well-equipped kitchen, washing machine and dryer etc. There were 3 of us staying at the apartment, one of us used the sofa bed and all linens were provided by the host. We didn't meet Morag by person but appreciate a lot that she provided free food in the fridge. I like the balcony attached to the living room though we didn't take advantage of it very much. I peeked at Charlie from it, haha. It takes about 10 mins to kings cross train station by foot, which is very convenient. I highly recommend this apartment to everyone.

  • Awesome host!! So kindly, so warm welcome! It is my first experience to use Airbnb. And me and my girl friend wish to stay longer next time... The room and the location was just perfect. Also imagining that wake up with the sunlight and ocean view on the bed is just so nice for a vocation house! The bakery and resutruants are near by. Highly recommended!! Otherwise you would regarded to miss the chance visit such nice apartment!

  • Meredith was accommodating even though we were slightly late for check in. She met us at the door and greeted us warmly. We felt welcomed as she showed us the place and gave us clear directions to the nearby cafes. We had fun riding the inclinator up and down to her house which provided a one-of-a-kind experience. Our personal favourite was the breathtaking view from our bedroom balcony. It looked like it was taken straight out of a postcard. We watched the sun rise from our bedroom balcony, with the ocean and sky divided by a thin horizontal line. The place was a great escape for us from the hustle and bustle of the city. And we do recommend this place for anyone who is looking for that as well.

  • This place is a total gem, tucked up away in the trees. Quiet, peaceful, with an amazing view! (I chose to wake up with the sun, and watch the beautiful sunrise in bed!) I stayed for just the night, and really enjoyed my relaxing stay. The bed was quality and comfortable, and it was a really nice touch to have toiletries supplied. I didn't get to meet the hosts, but they left me super easy instructions, and I was quite happy with time to myself. I would definitely stay again, and would recommend.

  • Amazing place! Highly recommended! Also stunning views!

    Cindy2017-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely stay and great nights sleep! Meredith's home is beautiful, and the view is sensational. Meredith is a wonderful hostess who is full of good advice about the area. Communications were clear and prompt, and descriptions accurate.

    Kim2017-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Beautifully presented and really in the treetops with the birds and a fabulous view!

    Chris2017-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place, great view, the inclinator was a lot of fun, super clean, Meredith was a great host.

    Michelle2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed two nights at this gorgeous 1/2 house. We had the lower level to ourselves and were made to feel very welcome and relaxed by Meredith and Lionel. You can sit on the balcony or lay in bed and lap up the spectacular views of the ocean and Avalon Beach. We ate out at great local restaurants and the house is not far from the main part of Avalon, but far enough out to be amongst the treetops which was just beautiful. A fun ride up to the house on the inclinator added to the unique experience! The house is a blend of old and new and we loved the style and it had everything we needed. I highly recommend this as a place to stay. It's better than the photos show and we will absolutely be back!

    Drew2015-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Steve and Eva were good hosts and directed us to all our needs. The studio apartment is gorgeous, fully stocked with everything. There are so many restaurants close by and a great market with italian cheeses and cakes, of which I spent most of my time taste testing. I loved my stay and definitely will return.

Allambie Heights is a suburb of northern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Located only 15 kilometres north-east of the Sydney CBD! The popular suburb of Manly is a short 10 minute drive away. We are also only a 10 minute drive from many of the beautiful local beaches including the popular Dee Why beach. Allambie Heights shops has an IGA supermarket, bakery, butcher, bottle shop, newsagency etc and is a leisurely 15 minute walk, where you can kick back at one of the local coffee shops or indulge at one of the three restaurants or fish & chip shop.
  • We greatly enjoyed our opportunity to stay at Darren and Ananda's place. The pool was great, the space clean and welcoming and facilities provided what we needed. There was a nice balance of privacy and feeling welcome. For the hot nights lighter bedding would be appreciated. A coffee plunger would be a welcome addition!

    Lou and David2015-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed staying in this studio apartment at Amanda and Darren's place. It was clean, well equipped and the pool was a big selling point for us. We loved going for a swim in the mornings when we got up and again when we came home after a day of exploring. If you want to stay somewhere quiet and away from the hustle and bustle, but within pretty easy access of Manly, Dee Why etc, than this is a good place to pick. We had a hire car and would recommend one if going to stay here as there are local buses but it is not within walking distance of many amenities. It is more a base to relax in and then explore from.

    Saff2013-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful 3 night stay. The apartment was very comfortable, had everything we needed, and Amanda and Darren were lovely hosts. We would recommend this to others and stay again on our next visit to Sydney.

It will make getting a confirmed reservation so much easier :) See below (hint hint) -- * Private attic room (private, but NO DOOR - please see the photos) * Double size fold out SOFA BED -- G'Day from Vinh & Stuart in Sydney! Thanks for coming to check out our listing :) We have another listing btw... http://www.airbnb.com/rooms/12351 if this one is unavailable, or you don't like the idea of a sofa bed (we've slept on it ourselves - it's good for a couple of days before you feel the need for a real bed). Our other listing is called "Sydney City & Harbour at the door"; a queen bed in our second bedroom. Your room: * Private attic room (private, but NO DOOR - please see the photos) * Double size fold down SOFA BED * All linen, pillows, blankets, towels, etc, provided too * Fully air-conditioned * Wifi Light Breakfast (cereals, toasts, and fruits) included: * Breakfasty things and tasty treats * Seasonal Fruits * Bread for toasting * Total access to "the Seinfeld cupboard" * All the Vegemite you can handle * Teas & coffees - We're espresso fiends, please don't blame us if you leave our place fully wired, or addicted to single origin ;p Guest Bathroom (shared): * Shower with instant (full pressure) hot water * Hair-dryer * Towels provided Your Sydney Home: * Amazing views of the Sydney Harbour, White Bay, and Glebe Island * Three level terrace house * Only 2 minutes walk from the centre of Pyrmont * Just minutes walk from everything Sydney offers * Close to the Airport & all public transport * Outdoor deck with seating and water views * Fully air-conditioned * Free wifi throughout the entire house Couple of things you do need to know before you book: --> It's a FOLD OUT SOFA BED - and fold out sofa beds in our experience are never really comfortable; especially for more than a couple of days. We've slept on it ourselves and it's fine for a couple of nights, but after that... well, it's a sofa bed. --> STEEP STAIRS - Because the house is on three levels, and the stairs are steep, we wouldn't recommend the property for people who like to travel with lots of luggage, people with any mobility issues, or for children.
  • Vinh and Stuart were such kind hosts and we really enjoyed our short stay with them. The home is very welcoming as everything was provided for us (including DVDs!) and they both suggested some amazing restaurants in the their area - which we loved. I'd highly recommend them and would stay again for my next Sydney trip!

Cool and comfortable studio with sunny, north facing balcony looking over a lovely quiet tree lined street. It comfortably fits two. Just a few minutes away from Kings Cross station, Darlinghurst, Paddington and Surry Hills, fabulous cafes and parks, location could not be better! Quintessential Sydney.
Warm in winter and cool in summer, this bright and sunny apartment has such an inviting and relaxed vibe. I love to paint and I painted the art work myself so I hope you like it! I've included an information sheet detailing some of the best coffee shops, ice cream, restaurants and bars in the area so that you can get straight out and live like a local in the know!
Stunning parks, harbour walks, fantastic restaurants in all directions, trendy bars, close to the city (15 minutes walk) Walk to The Botanic Gardens via Woolloomooloo bay, around Mrs Macquarie's Chair. This Walk is the most stunning view of Sydney. Allow a couple of hours at a leisurely pace. Enjoy a cocktail at the Opera Bar under the Opera house afterwards. Messina Ice cream on Victoria street is extraordinarily delicious...look for the shop with a line out the door. Vacanza Pizza on Bourke Street Surry Hills, it's a 15 minute walk but is the best pizza I've had in Australia. BYO wine (not beer) though they sell wine too. Bookings for 2 or more people recommended. May be a short wait time but it's absolutely worth it. The service is really friendly there too. Hernandez Coffee in Kings Cross Road (around the corner) is famous for it's coffee. Check out the Kings Cross Saturday Markets, yummy food and gift ideas and full of locals. The all you can eat Vegetarian buffet at Govinda's on Darlinghurst Road is really good too, and you can see a movie there as well lying on comfy couches..(SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) movie times. Harajuku Goza Dumplings is a cheap and cheerful little Japanese place on Bayswater Road...look for the sign asking if you're hungry like Godzilla.. Una's on Victoria street is an institution, does a really good schnitzel and is unpretentious. A Tavola, fine Italian cuisine (On Victoria Street) is really nice, bookings essential. Grab a beer at the Green Park Hotel on Victoria Street. Harry's Cafe de Wheels (it's a caravan that's parked on Cowper Wharf Road on Woolloomooloo Bay near the Navy ships) open 24/7 and makes the best hot dogs, chilli dogs and meat pies. Gay everything is a 10 minute walk to Oxford street (although this whole area is gay friendly) Stonewall Hotel on Oxford street is a good place to start. Beresford Hotel on Bourke street has a gay Sunday afternoon/evening and is popular and pretty. Arq nightclub on Flinders street is mixed but primarily gay and is where you should go if you want to go dancing. Other notable bars are Midnight Shift, Oxford Hotel (Bear bar), Colombian Hotel (i love it for after work drinks) and Palms (Weekends Retro- daggy and fun) Fitness First Gym is at the end of the street under the Coke sign and Anytime Fitness is in the building behind that. There are also several supermarkets nearby (Coles is in the same building as Fitness First at the end of the street under the big Coke sign) and a Chemist.
  • Great location, great host and great apartment (well-equipped kitchen, beautiful paintings, comfortable bed..). We would stay again. Thank you Paoblo!!

  • Alessandro was an amazing host, even though he was not in the city he managed everything to make our stay comfortable; he and James were very hospitable, gave us really good recommendations and tips on restaurants, places, and what to visit in the city. The place is lovely, really cozy, and has everything you need. Had a great time! I would definitely recommend it!

  • We had a wonderful time here at Paolo and Max's place! Perfect location for a wonderful trip away to Sydney! Our flight to Sydney landed earlier than expected and they were so kind to let us check our luggage before check in time! Overall gorgeous studio apartment to stay at, very thankful for the generosity of the Paolo and Max!

  • We enjoyed fantastic 16 days in Paolo ´s apartment. The flat is located close to the city centre and is clean, well equiped and sunny. It is a perfect spot for discovering Sydney. Paolo is fantastic host, who gave to us many recommendations where to eat and where to go. Paolo was very kind to us and we can recommend stay at Paolo ´s place for 110% :). We hope we will hava a chance to stay there again.

  • We both had a lovely stay at Max and Paulo's place for New Year. It's clean, well equipped and had lots of fantastic tourist information and things to do to hand. This B&B is in a prime location for Kings Cross train station and is only a 7min walk from the apartment. This is a perfect place for a couple or two friends and we wouldn't hesitate staying again. Thanks David and Chris

  • Good location !

  • Alessandro was an absolute darling. I had arrived with too many bags and he rushed down to help me to bring them upstairs. Then I was greeted with a lovely gift of cheese, wine and crackers. He is an incredible host and every single effort has been taken to comfort his guests. I received a text the day after check in from Alessandro to see how my stay was or if anything could be done to make it better; it couldn't. I feel like every single precaution has been taken to ensure you enjoy your stay to the max. The apartment was spotless, decorated simply with clean interiors and his own artwork. The area itself was so central I hadn't realised. I read through Alessandro's tips and to-do/where to eat note and must recommend you take his walk to the tennis club for coffee nearby as its a beautiful stroll down by the water. Couldn't have asked for a more gracious and adorably kind host. I would stay again and can't wish Alessandro well enough or praise more as I had expected to feel uncomfortable with the whole AirBnB set up but was pleasantly proven wrong.

Perfect if working at the hospital or exploring the Central Coast. Will accept short/long term rentals, message me a bit about yourself with approx dates
Room is fresh and clean with a balcony looking out to a leafy reserve. All bed linen and towels included
  • This was my first experience with Airbnb and I absolutely loved Jenny's place. I stayed here for 5 weeks. Jenny was a perfect hostess. She picked me up at the station upon my arrival and she took me to see the beautiful nearby beaches, we had a great time! Very clean appartement, it looks exactly like the pictures on here. Very close to Gosford station for trains and busses. About a 5-10 minute walk to the shops. Very good location for Gosford hospital.

    Annelies2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny was an excellent host, made her home a very hospitable place to stay. She made it very easy to feel at home and was always free to ask advice of places to go to or restaurants to eat at. Can not fault her on anything. The flat was clean and the room spacious and very comfortable. Would highly recommend this place to family or friends

    Arun2015-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was well presented and everything to be expected. The host was very welcoming and very accommodating throughout my stay. Couldn't reasonably ask for more.

  • Jenny was a great host. Very accommodating and friendly. I had a great stay.

    Karan2016-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny's place was exactly as shown in the photos and an awesome place to stay. Even though Jenny was away for the weekend and not on hand to greet me, she provided alternative arrangements for collecting the keys and settling me into the place through her mother. Frances made me very comfortable and I had great conversations with her. Jenny's place is extremely convenient for getting to the main street of Gosford and is very close to the hospital (if needing to work there or visit patients). I must say though the hill back up to her place was a struggle after I had completed Tough Mudder on the Saturday. I will most certainly return to Jenny's place when I am next up in the Gosford area.

    Stephen2016-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Even though we were just passing through, our overnight stay here was great. Jenny made us very welcome and was kind enough to recommend (and drive us to) a local restaurant down on the waterfront where we enjoyed a delicious meal. We worked off dinner by walking back to the AirBnB up a very steep hill!! The bed was very comfortable and we had a good night's rest.

    Davina2016-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny has a lovely modern apartment and is a very chatty and bubbly person. We enjoyed our stay and would readily return if the room was available.

A converted warehouse, this New York style apartment has plenty of space and sunlight. Conveniently located near shops, bars, restaurants, galleries, museums and the Botanic Gardens, yet tucked away in a nice quiet spot. Female guest only (sorry!)
A bright and sunny apartment with two levels. Featuring a very spacious open plan living area flowing to a lovely courtyard. Polished timber floors, modern kitchen with dishwasher, and internal laundry with second toilet. The guest room has air conditioning as well as a skylight and window that can be opened for fresh air. Situated in a great location not far from William Street and the CBD.
The best thing about living in Woolloomooloo is having everything nearby. Shopping, dining, bars, entertainment, the beautiful Botanic Gardens (great for picnics or jogging), the harbour, public transport, and a quick and easy route to many beaches. There is also a supermarket 2 minutes from my apartment.
  • Janine has been a great host during my stay! The apartment was kept clean all the time and all facilities were well equipped and accessible. The location is very central and walkable to major tourist attractions. It was easy and safe to walk to St James train station at night and early morning. I had a wonderful experience staying here and definitely a great choice to stay again! Thanks Janine :)

  • Janine was an excellent host! Very professional and experienced in receiving Airbnb guests. She made me feel very comfortable at her place! The pictures and descriptions of her place were true to what I found. The location is very good, in a nice neighborhood, close to the train station and walking distance to most of the touristic attractions of downtown Sydney. I definitely recommend!

    Carla2015-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • I didn't get to meet Janine as she was away on a business trip but her mother was very nice and was there too cat sit the cute cat. Very clean and just as advertised within walking distance to CBD. It was literally a 10 min walk to St. James Station. For anyone wanting to take an airport shuttle from Sydney domestic terminal it only costs $15 AUS to St. James Station as opposed to the train which is $17.20 (as of Sept 2014). However, you may have to wait a couple of minutes for the vehicle to be somewhat full. Janine has a little pamphlet with helpful info and the bathroom had shampoo and towels provided. I would certainly stay again next time I am in Sydney.

  • Sharon was warm, friendly and helpful from the first moment we met her! The room itself was spacious, nicely furnished and very clean, with complimentary tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. The bathroom was big, had a separate toilet and was well supplied with towels. There were books and board games to play which was nice, and I would recommend trying Rummy as we had a lot of fun. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend staying with Sharon!

Available next door to the bedroom is a large comfortable sitting room or a smaller sitting room down stairs that can be made available at an extra charge for your private use.

It is also a short walk to Barangaroo, with its new Headland Park opening in July 2015, which will provide extensive recreational opportunities and harbourside walks.

Mary and Graham were fantastic hosts, the room has views of Sydney Harbor Bridge, access to an incredible bathroom and reading area / lounge-room next to the private room itself. Will be staying again for sure when I am next in Sydney. Thanks Mary & Graham again for your hospitality. Cheers Damien

  • The terrace house is beautifully renovated and spotlessly clean in a wonderful historic part of the city within easy walking distance of many major attractions. It was great to explore The Rocks, Millers Point and Walsh Bay. Mary made me very welcome. The room is quiet, spacious and sunny on the first floor with a view of the harbour bridge. The bed was very comfortable! The fine bathroom is on the floor above. It would be good to have some tea making equipment but there are excellent cafes, bars and restaurants close by. Mary was most helpful with her recommendations. I would love to stay again - thank you Mary!

  • Her place was so cute and comfortable. It had a great beach feel to it. The room was large and the bed was awesomely comfortable. I loved her bohemian sense of style and she was more than accommodating. Kristin is helpful and friendly. She suggested an amazing restaurant right down the street and it was one of the best meals we had in Australia. Not too far of a walk to the beach and cafes. I'd love to come again! Thank you!!

  • Location is a big plus as we wanted to be walking distance to the beach. This place has great proximity to Bondi beach and restaurants around. She is a friendly host who was approachable in sharing some tips However note if you are carrying heavy baggage like us then be prepared this place is on first floor and no elevator. Toilet door was squeaky and needs an urgent fix. Bedroom was small and cozy and clean. I kinda liked the bedroom as it had comfy soft bed / pillows and a nice giant TV. Bedroom also has a heater which we wanted in winter.

    Shiva2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Kirsten's place is perfectly located in Bondi beach, close to some great cafes and the beach. The room itself is as described and is beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable as is the rest of her place. Only thing we would have loved was aircon as it was a little hot when we stayed. Kirsten was a lovely host and very accommodating. Communication was a breeze and she has some great suggestions on things to do and places to eat!

  • We had a great stay at Kirsten's pad. The apartment is perfectly located to enjoy the best of Bondi. Cafes, bars and beach are all within a few minutes walk and Kirsten was the perfect host! She was was flexible and understanding on check-in time (v. much appreciated after a night flight from Bali) and gave us space to relax when needed. But most of all, she's a kind, generous and interesting soul and it was a pleasure toasting in the New Year with her. I hope we'll keep in touch.

Newly renovated home, quiet street yet close to bars, cafes, and easy access to CBD. The room consists of its own living room, large private balcony and would be ideal for a traveling the business person or a couple on a weekend retreat
What could be Balmain's largest Airbnb listing by the room, styled for comfort and pure relaxation, boasting an oversized balcony with city skyline views, a comfortable queen sized bed, a large wall hung tv including Netflix and its own living area private bathroom this listing feels more like a studio apartment rather than a bedroom!!
Balmain is a well kept secret that I'm happy to share! Located a stones throw from the city making it an easy commute via the bus (practically at the front door!) for work or play. Of course you really don't need to leave the Balmain peninsula, city skyline and harbour bridge views popping out to greet you, a well established cafe society, popular bars both historic and on trend small bars littered throughout the heritage village, boutique shopping, street after street of quaint cottage homes there's an eye full and a mouth full for all!!
  • A great location that allowed an easy exploration of Balmain- which has a lovely village feel.

I offer a light breakfast and a shared bathroom with a separate second toilet. Visitor parking spaces are available but it's first in. Details of how to get to my townhouse can be supplied upon request.
My mid sized spare room faces the morning sun. It is bright and comfortable. It is only a single bed so I can only accommodate one person. I have one bathroom and a second separate toilet that we will share. A light breakfast will be provided.
My home is very close to Macquarie University, MGSM, Macquarie Park, Macquarie Hospital and Macquarie Shopping Centre. Public transport is a few minutes walk away.
  • Edwina was a great host to me. I had a late flight into Sydney and she was able to accommodate this. She was also kind enough to pick me up from the station which I was very grateful for. I needed somewhere close to Macquarie Uni and her home was great for this. A comfortable room, a clean bathroom and a beautiful cat made my short stay very pleasant. Thanks Edwina!

  • Edwina was an amazing host! It is like visiting an old friend. She knows how to make you feel comfortable. The place is clean, the bed is comfortable and the room is filled with sun. Furniture, pillows on the bad, pictures on the wall, flowers, everything make the place very homey. Furthermore, the stylish and beautiful Paris the cat gives an enormous charm to the hose. Edwina also is tremendously generous person in terms of her time food driving around. Many, many thanks! I would definitely stay with her again and recommend her place to all the lovely people on the AirBnB.

Edwina is the most welcoming host of a super-tidy home which made it easy for me to feel comfortable - Paris the cat seemed to have appreciated my occasional company :-) Communication was easy and efficient, if I may, I'd love to be back one day. Thank you!

This is a fantastic location for a Bondi Beach vacation. The beach is at the end of the street, only 10 min minutes walk from the front door. It is a lovely quiet area, yet numerous cafes and little grocers are in immediate vicinity. There are also numerous great local Deli style grocers and each Saturday welcomes the Bondi Beach Farmers Markets where one can purchase the freshest artisan produce brought straight from the farm, and sold direct by the farmer or producer. The property consists of 2 large bedrooms with 2 queen beds, 1 single bed, plus a cot can sleep up to 5 people comfortably and a baby. It has a spacious open living and dining area, plus a fully equipped kitchen. There is also an internal laundry with washing machine and clothes dryer. Other features include a beautiful balcony looking at the Harbour Bridge, a lovely outdoor swimming pool, plus an undercover car park. The bus stop is opposite the apartment where you can go to Bondi Junction train station in less than 5 minutes which connects to Central Station 10 min, Darling Harbour, The Rocks, Opera House, where you can catch the ferry to Manly, Taronga Zoo and the Northern Beaches Perfect retreat for couples, family or executives with the finest Bondi has to offer.
Bondi Beach is so versatile- it has bohemian charm as well as a trendy feel. Each pocket has its own personality and depending on what you feel like when you explore it, it will come up with something that feels right. I enjoy it in Summer when its full of buzz and in the cooler months when it has a quieter but calmer personality. Its also so close to other beaches, parks and shopping malls.
  • A great location for Bondi. Maria was very accommodating when our arrival was delayed.

ABOUT THE LOCATION: Rich with local history, culture and sophistication, Potts Point is an ideal place to stay or visit. Situated within Sydney City, just a short 20-minute walk to the CBD and a stone's throw from Kings Cross Railway Station, so you can easily catch a train to some of Sydney's beaches major attractions. Sydney Buses, Taxis and Car Share / Hire are also readily available in the immediate vicinity. Daily visitor car parking vouchers are available on request. ☺ PERSONAL SAFETY? We live in the area with our six-year-old daughter, as does many young families these days. Macleay Street has gentrified over the last ten years, and Potts Point is one of the most on-trend and affluent areas of Sydney. The area is highly populated and using simple common sense it's easy to stay safe. CAR SHARE IS AVAILABLE! Forget normal car rentals. Highly recommended and right outside the front door are two "GoGet" car-share "pods" and there are more than 20 GoGet cars within a two-minute walk. No need to worry about parking when you get back to the apartment if you sign up for these share cars - parking is free! Foreign licences are accepted, we will give you the address for the information pack and activation card. You should register before you leave home. Search for GoGet car share Sydney. Look for the FAQs. Ask us for our exclusive GoGet PROMO CODE to save the 50 joining fee! EATING OUT? Dozens of restaurants, cafes and bars are on your doorstep. Plenty is happening in the area, and some of Sydney's best restaurants are a short walk (Otto - at the Finger Wharf, or Macleay Street Bistro, down the road, just two examples). One of Sydney's best new cafes (Room 10 - Voted in SMH Good Cafe Guide) is 10m from your door, and there are loads of great places to eat and drink nearby. Wilbur’s Place (100m) and Bourke Street Bakery (200m) are just around the corner. You’re also just a short walk to the Italian hub of Stanley Street; a 20 min walk into the city, via the Domain and Hyde Park; a 20-minute walk (or less) to trendy Surry Hills. I’ll leave you a list of my favourite eating spots on check in. COOKING IN? The apartment is 100 metres from the excellent Harris Farm supermarket (or there's an even bigger supermarket within 200 metres), and there's a Farmers’ Market every Saturday only 80m walk away. I'll also leave the kitchen all set up with oil, vinegar, etc. so you can just focus on the main ingredients. There's even a high-end caterer - "Sides & Main" - on your street, selling gourmet meals from their shop-front, so if you are too lazy to cook but want to eat in. Too easy. NIGHTLIFE? Everyone knows neighbouring Kings Cross is famous for nightlife, but you may NOT know that its areas (Potts Point, Darlinghurst, Woollomoolloo and East Sydney) include some of Sydney's best areas to eat and drink in, all within a 5-minute walk. There are lots of small hip bars in the area - including on fabulous Llankelly Place, just near your building. You can also walk 10 minutes to Oxford Street clubs, or just 20 minutes in the centre of Sydney (Rocks, Circular Quay, etc.). I'll give you plenty of tips on arrival. If you like your nightlife more serene Govindas lounge cinema is about 5 minutes up the road, the Old Fitzroy Pub (so much character!) has a cheap theatre attached, and a great vibe. There are also numerous other local theatres and cinemas within walking distance. (I’ll leave you a few suggestions for all of this on check in). SIGHTSEEING? Walk to Hyde Park or the Botanic Gardens; the Opera House (probably 30 minutes, via Hyde Park and the Botanic Gardens); or short bus/train to Bondi Beach or other eastern suburbs beaches. Potts Point is in Sydney’s centre but has easy access to beaches, the famous Bondi-Bronte walk, and Sydney Harbour (I’ll leave you tips with my favourite picnic spots and nearby walks). WORKING? Walk into the city, so easy! Potts Point is walking distance to George Street and the main centre of Sydney. The apartment is also about 15 minutes walk UNSW’s College of Fine Arts on Oxford Street, a quick bus to UNSW, easy commute to the University of Sydney. The apartment is a 10-minute walk to St Vincents’ Hospital. There's unlimited wireless internet in the apartment so getting online is no problem. GYM'S, YOGA & PILATES? The apartment is located on the same street as P.E. Dept Gym and Fitness First is 5 minutes away. There are also a few boutique Yoga and Pilates classes in the local area. Just tell us what you want to do, and we will advise you on some of the options. PLEASE NOTE: The Potts Point apartment is up one level of stairs. No problem for most people but just letting you know. Washing machine and dryer are on the top level in the building (coin operated). Yes, there is a hairdryer! An iMac computer with ADSL2 and WiFi internet is provided of course! Also free local calls available on the land-line telephone. If you require extra bedding for the sofa bed and you are not paying for a third guest, there is a one-time $25 surcharge for the additional laundry charges we incur. One-time and not per night. Use of the infant cot is also $25. We ask guests to leave $25 on the table for our cleaners who manages the laundry services. The extra bedding set for the 3rd guest comprises of 1 x flat sheet + 1 x fitted sheet + 1 duvet cover + 1 x duvet + 2 x pillow covers and pillows. There are also a couple of soft blankets to put under and over the bedding for extra comfort. The location is superb, but the Kings Cross area IS busy on a Friday/Saturday night. Potts Point is an action-packed part of town; one reason it's great to stay here. While the apartment itself is quiet, you may hear the neighbours occasionally. You will likely hear some noise from the street at night on the weekends. I think the location is totally worth it, but forewarned is forearmed, so they say! Cars - Parking is available nearby but is a hassle, and it's expensive. But we can provide daily visitor car parking vouchers which are available on request at a fee. Car rental locations are close by, and GoGet car-share is easy and available close by. Locals walk everywhere or use the buses and trains. The location is central and easy to get around. If you have a car, I'll give you tips on where to park long-term, and it's less than 5 minutes walk away. Kings Cross train station is only 300m walk away from the apartment.
  • We had an enjoyable experience staying at Charlottes Potts Point apartment. The unit was exactly as photographed. Everything we needed was in the unit. Charolette and Chris were very helpful and they were good communicators. They made check in extremely easy and were very supportive. The unit is close to the Kings Cross subway station, a nice market, cafe's and great restaurants. It was easy for my wife and me to use this as our central base of operations as we covered Sydney and some surrounding areas. We would definitely recommend Charlotte, Chris and their unit.

  • Charlotte's husband was helpful and lovely to chat to, the apartment was in a great location near our favourite coffee spot (Room 10) and stylishly decorated.

  • Very central and terrific dining options near by.

  • My friend and I stayed in this great apartment for 6 nights and it was exactly what we needed. Charlotte has set up a beautiful little spot in Potts Point with everything you need. The guide book and maps were very useful and the unlimited internet access and a computer were perfect for researching a days activities. The sofa in the living room converts to a comfortable bed and the bathroom is very large. The kitchen has whatever you need and grocery stores are right around the corner. The neighborhood is very lively at night but it calms down in the late evening, Charlotte provides earplugs if the noise is too much. We loved the location and it was a great place to come back to every evening. I would definitely stay there again when I return to Sydney.
