“Absolute best spot on a mountain to view the Phoenix Valley. Be aware, although it is a short hike, the trek can be rather steep in some areas. Moderate-high difficulty level. Very popular hike in the city so hike out early if you'd prefer to avoid crowds.”

“This is also a favorite of mine. I like this one because there are two ways that you’re able to go. One is a much longer and harder trail while the other one is still challenging but shorter. And normally there are enough people on the trail that for me finding my way has been easy.”

“Great set of easy to moderate hiking trails directly north, it is about a 15-20 minute drive on the scenic part of the Cave Creek Road on the way to Carefree and Cave Creek. Especially great when wildflowers are blooming in the spring. This set of trails is also commonly used for horse back and mountain biking so keep alert on the trail. There are bathrooms but no drinking water, nice size parking lot.”
