Cabin in the country on private fishing ponds.

A private cabin located on two private ponds which are great for hanging out or catching bass, catfish, perch or crappie. The large pond is shared with other properties but there are flat bottom boats that can be used to explore both ponds. This cabin is great for getting away from it all. It is located just outside of Rusk, TX so it is still only about a 5 minute drive to town. There are speakers and lights outside for night time enjoyment and a fire pit for an evening fire. A secluded retreat!

We are located just 2 miles from downtown Palestine and 3 miles to the Texas State Railroad yet in a country setting behind a security gate with your private code. Cute Athens is only 5 miles away, and Canton's First Monday is 30 miles away. After a fun day of fishing, kayaking, SUP races, swimming in the lake, pedal boating, feeding the ducks, cornhole, or frisbee throwing enjoy a gorgeous east TX sunset with your favorite beverage and then a fire with s'mores!

Our two cabins Dogwood and Holly are located on a quiet, wooded 10 acre retreat that is 8 miles from Athens. Our special feature is a spring fed creek that flows year round and has it's own micro climate that is perfect for native ferns, mixed hardwood forest and dogwoods. We have provided a nature trail for bird watching and exercise. Recently we designed and constructed a beautiful pond with three waterfalls and a deck overhanging the water with chairs for enjoying our private paradise.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. We have all the amenities you will need for a great stay away from the hustle and bustle of your everyday life. A stylish little cabin in the country with access to walking trails, a pool, and a hot tub($) at the main house, which is a short walk up the hill. We have farm animals, and we run an animal rescue that can have anywhere from 14 to 32 dogs. They stay in a fenced-in yard where the pool is located. They love to swim with guests!
