“Great for dinners, check that it's open before you go. It's a big Victorian house that feels like it's in the middle of nowhere. The food is great. At the bar, the pizza is delicious. In the summer, it feels like you are in Hawaii because you can sit and look at the waterfall. Always a good vibe!”

“Just down the mountain in Palenville, this spot serves unbeatable breakfast and lunch sandwiches (no, really - UNBEATABLE). Note that they stop serving their breakfast menu at 11:30, though if you miss the cut off, you’ll quickly forget as you sink your teeth into their Kaaterskill Panino instead. Perfect after a day swimming in Kaaterskill Creek!”

“We love the owner of this place. He used to be a journalist at the Post. Now, he runs this lodge with his wife. They are a beautiful couple, the food is great and on Friday nights he plays jazz with a trio or a quartet. It's always peaceful and a good vibe.”

“There's a small parking lot beyond and you have to walk on the main road to get there, but the falls here are gorgeous and you can actually dip your feet in as well. Our family loves this spot! A serene waterfall. You'll barely notice other people are there, because the falls are the only thing you hear. And if you're wading in the water, you can only feel happiness. It's a magical place!”
