Panoramic 180 view of nature/forest from your own very private floor. Highly suggest 2-night stay to really experience re-energizing! WEEKDAY SPECIAL AVAILABLE, check calendar...
Raiwena is a historical rustic estate. A true oasis located in the hills of Emerald originally built in 1891, surrounded by trees dating over 128+ years with terraced gardens. Of architectural & local significance, modernized in 1930's & 50's. A panoramic view of nature at its best from a very spacious open plan bedroom/living area. You have your own private entry/exit, bathroom. Fridge, crockery, cutlery, kettle & microwave only are provided in apartment! We recommend takeaway places in the area, bakery, cafes & restaurants. This is a place to really just chill (less cooking) put your feet up, enjoy your snacks/nibbles & glass of wine/beer, or cup of tea/coffee and favorite biscuits! Take a train ride on Puffing Billy or cycle along the lake. Emerald Museum & Park is free to the public. Close to the Mt. Dandenong/Yarra Ranges: Olinda, Sassafras, Kallista, Gembrook. Also an ideal place for your wedding night or having small parties for any occasion; day or night-ask us for costing! Wifi very limited to certain areas of the property, for a real chill out time, with no intrusions from emails, internet or texting!
Peaceful, very rustic, scenic, at one with nature, a true oasis. Very private & romantic, spacious, also able to play loud enough music without disturbing neighbours who are far apart from each other. Walk to lake, forest paths. Wifi not available in apartment so no intrusions on your chill out time, only at the top of property! The surrounding area are all private homes...
  • My partner and I stayed here for just one night but it felt like we were lost to the world. With an amazing host who is equally informative as he is funny Raoul makes you feel welcome from the second you arrive. the appartments is beyond amazing. with the smell of the tree greets you as you come in the door it is definitely the feature but not the only plus with the Windows overlook your own private forest. This is definitely one special apartment. A must stay!!!

  • Raoul was very welcoming. He showed us the property whilst telling us its history. He pointed out things to do and places to go in the surrounding area. Amazing record collection that we could use! Would go be again, maybe in spring next time!

    Anna2016-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • It was very special to wake up feeling like we were in the middle of the forest. The record player was a bonus! The studio is like a little oasis with quirky furniture, lots of books and candles. The bathroom is a little dated but everything was clean and functional.

    Jonathan2016-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location and extremely relaxing. The apartment was set up with everything that we needed. Raoul was a great host and made sure we were comfortable and settled in.

    Praveena2016-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • We just loved staying in this enchanting and unique place. Looking out into the lush forest through floor to ceiling windows felt like we were floating in an aquarium. The beautiful tree growing through the middle can only be described as extraordinary. Raoul was a very friendly host who took the time to explain the significance of the property and also lots of interesting details about local history. Nights were cool but the gas log heater kept the room nice and warm. It was the perfect escape from our busy lives and we will definitely return.

    Jodie2016-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Raoul met us at the gate and told us all about the historic property. We were totally drawn in by the view and record player... both were amazing and made our all too short stay perfect. Great hosts, great communication, amazing views and quirky vibe.... oh... and THERE'S A BEAUTIFUL BIG OAK TREE... INSIDE! Highly recommend this gorgeous treehouse getaway!

    Alana2016-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Highly Recommended! Raoul was an extremely kind and welcoming host. His extensive knowledge of the history surrounding the area and the property is fantastic. Will be staying again

    Matthew2016-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • It was a fantastic experience staying at Raoul's treehouse! I spent a good 15 mins taking photos of the beautiful treehouse as I loved the layout and the space! The vinyl collection and the candles made available to us created a romantic ambience. Raoul was also very hospitable and allowed us to have a later check out at 11am. All in all, it was a great night away from the city and we loved every minute of it!

  • Thanks for being a wonderful host for my Parents. They couldn't have expressed their gratitude enough. They will definitely be utilising your guest house again.

    Nathan2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Carinya is a great chic private space that gives you the feeling of home away from home. Unfortunately we were in the area for only one night and due to our plans going south we ended up not using the facility at all. There was a folder provided with local tips from restaurants to things to do and little notes treats left for us. This was hospitality at its best. It was very handy that the apartment was furnished with a USB socket; provides ease for a foreigner or just someone who may have forgotten a charger to charge their devices. Friendly and helpful host. I would definitely recommend Carinya to anyone who is in that area.

  • Wow, what a surprise a beautiful luxurious large home surrounded by gardens. We had two separate bedrooms and a beautiful bathroom and everything was pristine. I love to cook and each night we thoroughly enjoy cooking in Ann's spacious kitchen. As it is winter time all the rooms were perfectly heated and our privacy was always respected, though,as we are away from home we often chose to enjoy Ann's delightful company. We highly recommend and home to travellers she is such a gem.

    Margo2017-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay with Ann. She had lovely, clean, comfortable rooms. She was quick to respond when I booked and was very accommodating. Fresh towels were laid out too and the bed was very comfortable.

  • Everything was perfect during our stay with Trev & Shanna. They were so accomodating, welcoming and willing to share so many personal experiences with us, definitely deserving the title of a SUPERHOST! Room was clean and neatly prepared. Bathroom was super too! Simply put, i dont think even 5 star hotels can provide the experience we had! Will recommend to everyone visiting philip island or mornington! :)

    Jun Han2017-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a home away from home experience, then a stay with Trev and Shanna is for you! This was my first time using Airbnb and what a way to start. Communication was excellent and upon arrival, I was made to feel at home. The house, room and description of your stay are exactly as described and will not disappoint. The attention to detail was a real standout - fresh towels on the bed, a wonderful selection of tea and coffee, provision of wifi access and some greatly appreciate bedside treats. Trev and Shanna are gracious hosts and are willing to engage and share their time with you or respectfully withdraw to allow you space as required. I was able to sit down and share a lovely home cooked meal before retreating to the comfort of my room. A lovely home, relaxing environment and gracious hosts - a wonderful experience. Highly recommend and will stay again should the opportunity arise - thank you!

    Ben2016-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • Trev and Shanna were such a nice and helpful host. The room and bathroom were spotless clean. You even have snacks and 2 bottles of water on the bedside table like in 5 stars hotel. ;-)The whole house is wonderful and well appointed. Trev's pancakes at the breakfast were delicious and we had a lovely breakfast with their family and a few friends who happened to be around that day.

    Gabriel2016-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • I loved my stay with Trev and Shanna. They were fantastic hosts. I felt at home the whole time. The room included a bathroom and toilet. It was modern, well presented, spotlessly clean and Trev and Shanna put a lot of effort into making it a comfortable experience. The location was great for me as I had business nearby. It was a quiet area with walking tracks across the street. I highly recommend Trev and Shanna as hosts. I wouldn't hesitate to stay with them again.

Located in the stunning & extensive private grounds of this picturesque 27 acre farmland, "Pakenham Range" is ideally located & perfect for those looking for a farm experience! This recently renovated ranch style home boasts 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms & 4 WC, open plan kitchen & fireplace, BBQ, dining, 12 stables & horse boxes. It is also home to traditional farm animals (cattle, poultry, rabbits etc) with magnificent ponds & ducks that call it home. Guests are welcome to participate in feeding.
  • Joseph's property is a gorgeous and quirky space for the perfect getaway. Whilst being only a 5 - 10 minute drive into the main town of Pakenham, the property itself is very quiet and secluded and you really do feel away from it all. The farm is home to a group of funny sheep, lovely cows and cute little rabbits popping up here and there. The house is very comfortable, it had more than enough bedrooms and bathrooms, a large kitchen and a cosy lounge room. The views are great and the atmosphere is very relaxing.

    Grace2017-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • The house was good but the surroundings were breath-taking, it’s the perfect getaway from your busy life to a quiet night under the stars and around nature

Nestled in Gippsland, you will have direct access to the rural side of Melbourne. Phillip Island, The Dandenong Ranges, Mornington Peninsula and its wineries, Emerald and Puffing Billy, and Olinda (best pie shop ever!)This is a beautiful part of Melbourne that should not be missed:)
Comfort is everything! Even though you don't stay in your room all day, you want to know that when you come back from an amazing day out, you have the comforts and luxuries of home. A very comfy double wrought iron bed, TV with Netflix, wardrobe with plenty of space for hanging clothes (who really enjoys living out of a suitcase), your own private bathroom with shower and bath, with a range of muscle soaks, candles and scents, separate toilet, access to a full working kitchen with fresh ground coffee (we are coffee snobs - and will happily tell you the best places for coffee and breakfast). • Great place, if a little hard to find. William sent accurate directions. Don’t follow (Hidden by Airbnb) Maps. Stay was great. Nice quiet stay. Microwave, dishes, private refrigerator, three star hotel like bed and rooms. Only thing I would have wanted is a table/desk and a chair in the room. No surface besides night stand to put your things on. Apart from that, great host, good conversation, good location, new place, sparkling clean. Hard to believe people actually live there, it’s so clean. Would come and stay again if they’d have me.

  • We've spend two nights at Sam's beautiful, clean and tidy house. He was our last resort...and a really good one! • Sam was a sensational host, and fortunately for me, incredibly flexible and spontaneous! I sent a super-last minute request after 8pm and he very graciously organised my room and received me as a guest well after 10pm that same night. Lucky his successful photography business apparently keeps him up all night anyway! He was incredibly welcome, very humble and gracious as a host, and his beautiful Mum who was also visiting at the time was just gorgeous. He was very generous and accommodating, offering a tour of his newly built home and use of all facilities. The room was all prepared and he'd gone the extra mile with an aircon unit, kettle and other bits all ready. It was a perfect location for me having to work in Pakenham too, only minutes away from the business centre.

Even before you cross the threshold, Ttekceba Villa is a total experience unlike any other Dandenong Ranges accommodation. Whether you are looking for a romantic weekend getaway, wedding night accommodation, or simply a few days escape from citylife, Ttekceba is a place of fascinating beauty and exotic inspiration. Instead of just a cosy cottage in the Dandenongs, you can indulge yourself in a sublimely spacious self-contained villa, presented in a worldly yet distinctly personal style, complete with swimming pool. Romantics, artists, lovers of beauty and nature, find treasured experiences in this very unique country hideaway. Far reaching views over rolling hills to lakes and bays can be seen from the dining room and the garden. Yet the contemporary, architect-designed villa is barely visible amidst a glorious garden of indigenous and European plants. Like a gallery, the house is designed as a subdued backdrop for an explosion of creative expression, in this case, the owner's wonderful collection of mementos and furniture from her European ancestral homes and a life full of travel. Greenery inside and out, mirrors and glass, confuse the boundaries in this deliberately sensory space. Where no curtains obstruct the view. • Veronika is the perfect host and has an absolutely stunning home - both architecturally and its interior design. It was a cold blustery day, and when we arrived the log fire was lit - there is nothing better than sitting down to a nice cup of tea and a good book with the sound of the crackling fire in the background. The grounds in which the house is set are beautiful and would love to see it in the spring. The Egyptian geese are a quiet beauty in the landscape and so are the two little Shetland Ponys :) I would definitely recommend Ttekceba as a retreat, to recharge yourself. Thank you Veronika for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Veronika's place. She was very welcoming and took the time to show us the lovely nooks that we might have missed ourselves. Such a relaxing environment with a real sense of style and luxury.

  • A personal tour by our host started us on a wonderful weekend stay at this property. An extraordinary house with an interior filled with many treasures from all over the globe, it was a feast for the senses. The views were magic (Oh, those windows!) the house a delight and who can't go past an open fireplace - especially in a Melbourne winter! I would like the thank Veronika for allowing us to check out late and really enjoy those views on Sunday morning. A true experience.

    Kate2015-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • It was a lovely place - stocked kitchen, amazing morning lighting, fire place, and you even get to feed a pony. Only issue was that there were a few webs here and there, but a quick wipe will knock that down. Thanks once again!

    Lawrence2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • The place is even more beautiful than it looks it the photos! I was feeling overwhelmingly burnt out when I first arrived but Veronika's welcoming and friendly nature put me at ease instantly. Every detail of the house is intricately designed and bursting with character. Everywhere I looked, I discovered something interesting. The floor to ceiling windows allow the beauty of the gardens to be enjoyed from inside without compromising on privacy or comfort. Without question, this is the most magical and luxurious accommodation I have ever come across! Veronika, thank you so much for sharing your place and your talents with me. Hopefully it won't be long before I can come back for a longer stay!

  • We had a lovely stay at this cottage. The cottage is simple but has a great fire which kept the whole place toasty and warm. Krissy was the perfect host for us as we didn't need a lot of interaction as everything was as described. Lovely views from the deck and master bedroom. The dogs and cats were very friendly and the kids loved staying here. No bath for kids but shower detaches so they were happy to have a shower instead. Plenty of space to relax with a formal dining area, lounge and separate TV room. Beds were comfy and warm. Area is lovely. Woke up to kookaburras laughing. Would definitely return.

    Coral2016-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • I am so lucky to have Krissy as a host, she is very friendly, flexible and thoughtful. She is very easy to contact and her response is fast. She will do her best to cater what I need. My family and friend come from overseas for my wedding love the cottage. We feel very welcome by the family and the pets. The place is really neat and tidy. The surrounding area is so peaceful and quiet and has a beautiful sensory. I have a lot of beautiful wedding pictures taken at Krissy’s places. The cottage and the rustic charm in the bush (as I have extra guests to stay) have a lot of good spots to take wedding photo. It is also not far from a winery. I would fully and unreservedly recommend the cottage and the rustic charm in the bush to anyone.

  • Kristina is a superb host. She immediately made us feel welcome and at home. She immediately took care of all of our needs or requests. The Home among the Gum Trees is easily the best lodging we have had the opportunity to enjoy in our travels around the world. It is heavenly serene and beautiful. All of the accommodations are first class down to the finest detail including the furniture, beds, housewares, TV, towels and linens, ready access to ample firewood for the wood burning heat stove and every other significant aspect of a pleasant stay. We hope to return for another visit very soon.

Full size Sydney yellow bus converted in style. A comfortable bed, with self contained kitchen, refrigerator, TV, couch, laundry, and. great for horse enthusiasts. Small paddock beside bus for your horse. Ride through to Chambers Reserve and the many horse trails. Enjoy farm life, complete with baby wombats to feed. Peaceful bush surrounds, perfect for artists, nature lovers, and good old relaxing. Tent area also available if needed. Milk, coffee and nibbles provided.
It's a bus!! Unique with lots of space, refrigerator, table with authentic bus seats, cooker complete with oven. Big queen size bed. Air conditioner, TV with DVD, can borrow some of mine too. Can bring baby or toddler but there is a dam nearby. Paddock next to bus for your horse. Washing machine and camp chairs for under the canopy if you just want to read a book or paint the scenery.
Travelling along the dirt road to my home, the sun peeps through the trees, the road has no traffic so the.wild residents are abundant. Kangaroos, wombats, bird life galore are to be seen. Stars at night are clear and the odd falling star is seen. Deer come and drink from the dam while the sound of kookaburras settling in for the night. Echidnas and the odd king parrot show up on your doorstep all the while sheep, goat and pony are wondering the paddock. Not far to see Phillip Island, Puffing Billy, the Dandenongs, Toomuc Valley attractions, and Gumbuya Park and is only one hour from Melbourne.
  • This was hands down one of the best Airbnb experiences! An absolute gem of a find. Firstly, I was greeted by the host family carrying baby wombats -- best welcome possible. I arrived late in the night due to work which they happily accommodated. The bus is fantastic and has everything you need (full kitchen with supplies, shower, etc). I underpacked food but that was no problem with the abundance of treats and breakfast foods they supplied. It was a very cold weekend but sleeping was still warm and cosy with thick blankets and a heater. The bed is in the back of the bus with two windows on each side, waking up to the view of many furry farm friends was surreal! Lots of animals: horses, goats, sheep, dogs, possums, and wombats!! Wombats! They were kind enough to let me feed them, a once in a lifetime experience--except I know I'll be back :) They showed me a short cut to RJ Chambers Flora and Fauna Reserve. The short cut takes you across sacred aboriginal rock cliffs, a creek, and horse paddocks. You can easily spend all day hiking this reserve. Kangaroo/wallaby and deer sitings, so much bird watching, my dog had a blast. I left my keys there and they were more than happy to post them to me. Can't wait to escape again, hugely appreciated the entire experience.

  • The stay at Lyndel's and Don's place was an amazing experience. The bus itself has literally everything you need and it's really comfortable. Also you have a chance to meet some of the animals the hosts are taking care of (even you can try feeding a baby wombat, how cool is that!) which was incredible for animal lovers like us. If you're ever in the area we definitely recommend you stay at least couple of nights there, you won't regret it!

    Krzysztof2018-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely incredible!! You will not be disappointed. Very welcoming and warm hearted guests with the most unique airbnb we have stayed in for a long time.

    Rolando2018-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic place! Don and Lyn are incredible hosts, and it was a pleasure to spend time in their company. The bus is in a remote area, surrounded by stunning rolling hills and so many animals. It rained quite a bit when I was there, but the comfy couch and tea on offer made it the perfect place to sit back and unwind in nature. Nothing was too much effort, communication was A++ and the wombats... HOLY MOLY! What an absolute treat to witness such beautiful creatures. Thank you for sharing your passion with me whilst I was there. It was an absolute honour! Highly, highly recommended place.

    Penny2017-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • Lyndel and Don could not have been more hospitable from start to finish. The stay, in the converted bus, was unique - surprisingly spacious, warm and cosy (even on a wintery night) and wonderfully comfortable. We helped tend their orphaned wombats, indulged ourselves with the outstanding homebrew (not just the best homebrew you'll taste but you'll be hard pushed to find a more drinkable beer on the shelves of any shop!), we doted on their horse and goat, watched the curious sheep who kept a safe distance from our boisterous toddler. A morning trek into the reserve adjoining their land gave us and our 2 dogs an opportunity to stretch our legs in the beautiful countryside surrounding the property. A top class stay that will live long in the memory!

    Sam2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • The bus was absolutely awesome in every way. Everything was beyond expectation, which had already been set fairly high by the previous reviews. The highlight was meeting the baby Wombats and the open fire next to the bus, which was perfect for star gazing over one Don's home brewed beers. Thanks so much for the hospitality, we will be back for sure!

    Andrew2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely, comfortable night in a beautiful peaceful location. Being woken up by kookaburras is much better than city traffic. Lyndal and Don couldn't have done more to make sure we had all we needed when we arrived and it was a privilege to interact with the wombats.

    Rebecca2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • The bus was such a hit with me and the kids. Such a novelty. It was the first night of a 2 week trip and it's the top thing we've told everyone about. Loved walking through the bush tracks next to the farm and feeding the wombats in the morning was a real treat. Thanks so much for being a fabulous host, Don. We hope to come back again!

  • Couldn't have been happier with Gillian's hospitality. The room was comfortable and clean with private use of bathroom. Just what we wanted!

  • Although on a busy road the house is set right back from the road so we had a much needed quiet and peaceful sleep on our long drive. We arrived at 3am and left early - before our hosts woke - but they were kind enough to leave the front door open. We had half the house - quite separate except for shared kitchen. Simple but clean, tidy, and functional - just what we needed for road trip sleep over.
