“Skip the libraries, and spent the day enjoying the shelves in Powell's like a Portlander. This location has very rare books. The location of Hawthorne has a cozy cafe and easier parking.”

Park
“One of the best parks with little elevation gain. It's beautiful, quiet, relaxing, and big. Greenery as far as the eyes can see. ”

Garden
“The Japanese Garden is a great place to visit during most of the year. Since some of the design elements are specifically made to incorporate rain, going there in the winter/spring when it’s wet is still a good experience. ”

“Don’t be fooled by the other locations. This is the real one and worth the wait! World famous chef Andy Ricker’s first place. The spicy wings are so addictive you want to order more. And the spicy boar collar , (just ask them) is the best thing on the menu. This is my favorite place to eat in Portland. ”

Park
“Laurelhurst Park is a classic city park, with a little of something for everyone. Playgrounds, basketball courts, tennis courts, and on the other side of a quiet road a wide park in the midst of tall trees with a duck pond and fountains. The walking paths are paved and suitable for those of all abilities, and the park has an off-leash area for dogs. There are numerous benches and picnic spots including a few barbecues, so it is easy to spend a whole day there enjoying the people and the park.”
