Music Venue
“House of Blues is a great place for live music in the evenings. You can catch concerts and more at the live music venue (check their website). However, my recommendation is the Sunday "Gospel Brunch" - Yes it really is gospel music over a terrific southern-style brunch. Regardless of your religion this is a fun time with amazing food and talented musicians. For a flat rate you can get a full breakfast / brunch buffet. ”

“Again, I had to think of a way to work around the limits of this program to tell you of another unusual and wonderful happening in San Pancho. EntreAmigos, working with one of the founders of the original Cirque du Soleil, who has a home here, create the Cirque du Ninos. Each year the real Cirque sends down a dozen or so acrobats and actors to train the children of our little town a range of acrobatic skills. They spend six weeks in training and then in one glorious weekend, we have the Children's Circus. Can you believe all of this for little San Pancho? ”

Shopping Mall
“Pointe Orlando is an all-in-one dining, nightlife and shopping complex located just off the busy International Drive, a short drive from Disney, Universal, and SeaWorld. The charming array of shops, bars and restaurants are set around a pretty landscaped garden complete with palm trees and fountains, making this a tranquil place to hang out both in the day and at night. The emphasis in the daytime is inevitably more on shopping and dining. While crowds are still drawn to the restaurants, Pointe Orlando really comes alive after dark with its impressive IMAX movie theater complex, live music bars and famous Improv Comedy Club. Nightlife at Pointe Orlando If you’re coming for a drink, there are a few main venues to look out for at Pointe Orlando. B.B King’s Blues Bar is a fun spot to hit up on weekends for their live bands (a cover charge of $5-10 normally applies). The Pub is a British-style boozer that mixes things up with American comfort food, while Blue Martini goes more traditional, with a sophisticated layout and impressive menu of cocktails. The famous Improv Comedy Club promises a night of adult-only laughs. Since opening some 40 years ago, this club has been heralded as a launching pad for the careers of dozens of famous comedians, such as the late Robin Williams, Adam Sandler, Jerry Seinfeld, and Drew Carey. Dining at Point Orlando Most of the restaurants at Pointe Orlando open for lunch (around midday), and continue serving throughout the day until 9pm or 10pm. Considering the size of the place, the range of cuisine here is undeniably impressive. Look out for Copper Canyon Grill, Marlow’s Tavern or the Capital Grille for some casual, no-nonsense dining. Head to the more upscale Itta Bena, a speakeasy-style fine-dining restaurant that focuses on refined Southern classics with a creative touch from the chef. More restaurants further diversifying the dining scene at Pointe Orlando are The Oceanaire (seafood), Taverna Opa (Greek) and Maggiano’s Little Italy (Italian). Things to do at Pointe Orlando Eating and drinking aren’t the only reasons Pointe Orlando is worth an afternoon or evening of your time. The onsite Regal Movie theaters has a range of standard screens as well as Central Florida’s largest IMAX Theatre. Another family-favorite attraction is WonderWorks, an indoor amusement park with over 100 exhibits, rides and games for the kids, all set in a building modeled to look like an upside-down house. For shopping, it must be said that the range of stores here is easily dwarfed by the nearby outlet stores on International Drive, but you’ll find a few familiar designer names such as Tommy Hilfiger, Victoria’s Secret and Hollister. “I love this little market. They have fresh fruits/veggies, more organic type products, huge wine/beer selection, cafe with awesome drinks including alcoholic beverages, kombucha, beer and coffee. They also have a great salad bar and a kitchen with food that you can take to go, pizza and sandwiches. Great place to go to pick up some food fast. ”

Grocery Store
“This place is pricey. Not the place for essentials, but terrific deli and prepared foods and meat and seafood counter. Good for produce and organic options. Also good selection of specialty food items (like imported pasta and coconut milk ice cream). I love the roasted chicken salad from the deli, which they make in house. Great for a picnic or easy lunch. ”
