“This place can be very busy. If you love tranquillity, then stay away. But if you are looking for the most genuine Havana's culture and vibe, then do not miss out. It has been very famous, since its foundation, for the Cuban typical dishes, i.e. black beans, fried pork chunks and fried banana. Ernest Hemingway made it popular for becoming a frequent client and a lover of the Mojito cocktail they offer.”

“When the owners of O'Reilly 304 realized that they had no room to expand their increasingly popular restaurant they opened up another one directly across the street and humorously called it El del Frente ('the one in front'). It's more of the same culinary genius with a few bonuses – a roof terrace, retro 50s design features and heady gin cocktails. ”

“O'Reilly, like other streets in Old Havana, keeps a thousand stories, and for a while, a corner to feel at ease. The food of the best quality and personalized service will make the time there inspire you to return again and again. Right at 304 this Gin Bar awaits you with its unique recipes, which you can accompany with a varied cocktail bar. Better, do not let them tell you.”

“Sloppy Joe's Bar, an emblematic bar in Old Havana from the 20s of the 20th century that remained closed for almost 50 years. After a rigorous reconstruction, and reopened in 2013, the iconic bar manages to recreate the image and atmosphere of its era of splendor”

“Habana 61's menu features Cuban classics with a fresh twist. The lobster is among their most popular dishes, but the traditional 'ropa vieja' is just as delicious. For a starter, don't miss the cold tomato soup with shrimp. Located in one of the fastest developing areas of Old Havana, this small restaurant is often booked during high season.”

“A nice and picturesque bar, located right behind The Capitol. If you love live music, then this is a must in Havana. The prices are not cheap but also not exorbitantly high. It is 1,5 km from our place. It takes you 21 minutes to walk and 8 minutes on a car.”

“Because we were staying in a casa 2 blocks away, Kilometro Zero became our local hangout where we'd have the last drink of our evening. The greeters soon recognized us as regulars and cheerfully found a spot for us each time. The waitresses were not only beautiful but efficient, friendly and able to speak English. The live music was always first rate. While most of our time here was spent drinking beer we did enjoy a tasty chicken dinner as well as an appetizer of tuna stuffed red peppers. Clientele seemed to consist mostly of tourists but on a few occasions locals spiced up the atmosphere with some sassy salsa. Lots of fun.”

“Obispo street is lined with bars. Almost all of them have live traditional music. Two of them that have really good bands are Lluvia de Oro, as indicated on map, and an open air bar with green columns a bit further up towards Central Park.”

“Con una vista privilegiada de la Plaza Vieja, Azúcar invita a momentos exclusivos. El contraste entre la antigüedad del entorno y la decoración moderna, simple y de muy buen gusto agregan valor a esta experiencia que puede ser tan dulce como quieras. Con una amplísima coctelería, las tapas perfectas para acompañar y el ambiente embriagador no sentirás pasar el tiempo.”
