Restaurant
“The food here is consistently excellent. Before 3 pm the Black River is a popular breakfast & lunch stop, with real Ohio maple syrup, homemade raspberry jam, and pancakes to die for. After 5 pm, their chef works miracles to transform the place into Oberlin's best fine dining experience. The salmon is divine, and the vegetables are so perfectly cooked and seasoned that you'll love them even if you dislike veggies!! It's wonderfully quiet on weekday evenings and the service is outstanding. The wood accents around the dining room are gorgeous, too.”

Art Gallery
“Stop in to browse pieces by local artists, stay to get your own art supplies -- but don't miss the kitten fostering space in the very back of the shop! Cuddle with rescue cats and help socialize them while they wait for their forever home.”
