Just booked in Norwich

A splendid 2 storey townhouse situated in an extremely popular area of Norwich & close to all you need to make this a fabulous stay away FREE PARKING 1 Double room + 1 double sofa bed so sleeps 4 Great double shower Fab kitchen with dining table for 4 Great pubs, restaurants & shops nearby Peaceful area but still only 5 mins walk to main shops
Cambridge Mews House is located only 10 minute (ish - depends on your legs) walk from the city centre and only 200 yards from the very popular and friendly Unthank Rd area of the Golden Triangle where there is a host of fabulous pubs, a great variety of shops (butchers/ bakers/ chemist/ Costa coffee, breakfast places, takeaway eateries etc etc), close bus links to the whole city and a really lovely vibrant nightlife - you are not far from a mass of things to do but equally tucked away in a peaceful, leafy area where bird song greets you in the morning. LOCATION OF CAMBRIDGE MEWS Cambridge Mews is situated on a lovely quiet one way street called Cambridge Street (One of the most exclusive and expensive streets in Norwich) with it's own beautiful church, near to a large recreational park and within 5 mins or so to several very popular pubs (Unthank Arms, Rose Tavern, Georgian House, The Mulberry, Eaton Cottage, The York Tavern, The Mad Moose, The Garden House, Lust & Liquor the goes on. Chapelfield Gardens is also only 5 mins or so away and the walk is towards the city centre - A splendid area to relax and have a picnic which is surrounded by Norwich's old medieval wall. The amazing Theatre Royal is also close by so if you love live theatre, music, musicals fresh from The West End etc etc then it's only a short walk away - we have had the pleasure of hosting several actors and dancers who have loved the place. DIRECTIONS TO THE HOUSE From Unthank Road, drive or walk up Cambridge St on the right hand side path until you come to the bend on the road (200 yards or so) - you will see a row of 5 wooden garage doors which is the block of houses where you will be staying. Please walk around the opposite side of the garages where the 2nd white door on the left is Flat 2 (see small label in the door window saying 'Flat 2'). As you can see from the photos - you will be surrounded by sumptuous furnishings and comforts during your stay. The house went live in mid December and all of our guests have rated it with lots of 5 stars. Location is NOT central city but we are sure that the quiet street where Cambridge Mews sits in will deliver your a tranquil stay but still within walking distance to everything you need during your stay. Do not forget - if you are coming by car then there is a free car parking space which is a genuine bonus and will save you about £10 a day as parking is a premium in this part of the city. THE NEIGHBOURHOOD The house is only 10 or so minutes stroll from the city centre with its colourful market, historic buildings, arty lanes, commanding castle and vibrant shopping heaven. Even closer to Cambridge News is Unthank Road village which is a 2 minute stroll down the road where you will find a Tesco Express, the Le Chateau off licence, Adnams Beer Shop, The Last Brasserie a great breakfast, the Pickle and Relish Hamburger & Beer Pub, the Mulberry Gourmet Pub, The Unthank Kitchen Café, Indian and Chinese takeaways, a Subway, a newsagent, a chemist, a greengrocers, a local independent butchers and an amazing artisan baker. There are also at least 8 other pubs within 5 minutes walk of Cambridge Mews and many more beyond that. If pubs aren't your thing, there is the wonderful neo-gothic Roman Catholic cathedral and Trinity Church just down the road which is worth a visit and of course Norwich Cathedral and Norwich Castle, several museums, top 5 in the UK for shopping - which speaks for its self. GETTING AROUND Walking into the city is by far the easiest way to get there but the No. 25 bus stops just up on Unthank Road - you can catch it into the city and on to the railway station. In the other direction it will take you directly to the University of East Anglia and SportsPark, the UK's largest community based indoor sports facility, and on to the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital. CAMBRIDGE MEW DETAILS ABOUT THE HOUSE Cambridge Mews has sumptuous comfort, stylish furnishings, all amenities on your doorstep and you can sleep up to 4 guests in 2 separate rooms (1 bedroom and one living room/sofa bed conversion - PLEASE NOTE - to get to the toilet and shower room you have to walk through the main bedroom). All with a price tag that will beat any hotel or local BnB hands down - your OWN space, several rooms and all will be enjoyed in your own luxurious private space. The good sized kitchen is great for knocking up your speciality dish and is equipped with all you need to make your stay as relaxing as it can be. A washing machine, tumble drier, microwave - plus all the rest you would hope for and expect for to cater for up to 4 guests with a drop leaf table to seat 4. It's cosy but everyone loves it. The living room has an easily convertible sofa bed which can be converted when it is bed time and the bedroom has a new double bed and a luxurious en suite shower room. There is unlimited broadband and Wi-Fi, a flat screen with loads of free view channels and a DVD player for your favourite films. The house is centrally heated and comes with all you need for a super cosy stay. We are confident that your stay will be one to remember. Please note - you have to walk through the bedroom to get to the luxurious shower and WC. We love to provide all our guests with as much information about the house and what to do as we can. We have collected a great selection of what's on guide, tourist leaflets and art/culture guides and calendars. We also provide a top tips guide to where to eat, where to go and places to see. We hope this is a great help to you. The info file also has lots of info about the house, which is also a great comfort. One thing to note - this house is a house which is purposely designed to cater for the holiday maker and is not where we live - on too many occasions we have been away and found that we have landed in a house where the host also lives - where it is not so clean, has personal clutter and where the house is a wee bit tired and grubby. Cambridge Mews House is presented to the highest level possible and we are sure you will have an excellent stay.
The Golden Triangle is one of the most popular and cosmopolitan areas of the fine city of Norwich and is jam packed with lots of things to do. The city centre is only a short 10 min walk away and is easily accessible (without the use of a car) on foot. Norwich's very own Theatre Royal is a short walk away so this place is ideal for theatre goers or indeed for the talented cast/actors and theatre folk. We are very confident that the cafe and bar culture of this part of the city will be all you need to have a great time.
  • Nice and cosy stay for family or two couples 20 min walk away from Norwich city centre.

  • We had a very pleasant 3 night stay at this apartment. It was ideal for the two of us, extremely comfortable and well presented. Great location for us in Norwich's Golden Triangle and an easy walk into town. Great to have a parking space too. Highly recommended and we would definitely stay again.

  • Great modern and very up to date apartment with all mod cons. Very clean, spotless. Warm central heating heated all rooms as we went the last week in April and it was really chilly. Lovely walk to centre through the park. Pubs and a handful of shops near by. Huge TV with freeview, wifi. Graham was at hand if needed.

  • Great place!

Our self contained flat is bright & cosy with brand new furnishings. It consists of a double bedroom, bathroom, lounge & kitchen & is situated within walking distance of Norwich city centre, Carrow Rd, Aviva & the bus & train stations. Our flat is above our lovely pub The Rose & each night booked includes a £5 voucher to spend on drinks. Access to the flat is separate to our pub which serves ales, craft beers, ciders, gins & food. Our pub is not noisy & we don't serve into the early hours.
The flat is on the first floor and accessed by stairs. There is a shared outdoor decked area. Street parking is limited but there is an NCP car park nearby which is reasonable for overnight parking.
From the flat there is easy access to the beautiful historic centre of Norwich as well as main shopping areas, the river and the football ground. Close by are several parks and the area is well served for restaurants, takeaways and cafes and only a few minutes drive to the A47 to explore the Norfolk Broads and our lovely coast. We are easily accessible from the A11 too.
  • Would highly recommend, as I had a lovely stay. Dawn and her family are very friendly. The flat was clean, and at a decent location. Not to forget the nightly tiple. Much nicer than the pictures

    Saladin2017-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Dawn was a great host with great communication. The flat has all the comforts of home.

    David2017-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • The flat is in easy walks my distance of the centre and the riverside of Norwich. It's spacious, clean and very welcoming. The pub underneath was friendly with a great choice of food and drinks. I would definitely recommend this and will be back.

    Justine2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a first floor flat with exterior stairs. There are lots of big windows and the place is bright, very clean and nicely furnished. The sitting area is separate from the bedroom. The kitchen is complete and there are adequate cookware and dishes for preparing meals in. It was nice that Dawn supplied things like salt/pepper, tea, coffee, milk, dish detergent and lots of shampoos. Dawn is no-fuss and friendly. The place is a good value. We walked into the city centre in less than ten minutes and there are cafes and markets nearby.

    Alison2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Dawn. Our stay in your apartment was perfectly located for town and for getting to Waterfront. We used our £5 voucher in the pub thanks, a nice bonus. Kind regards Anne

    Anne2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great little flat above a nice pub where the people are really friendly. The owner of the flat Dawn was really lovely. Great stay.

30 seconds walk to Magdalen St/Anglia Square - 10 min walk into the city centre.
It's a fairly spacious room at the front of the house, with a big window. There is an oven, microwave, grill, kettle and washing machine. The shower is amazing - really good pressure and gets nice and hot. The room has a nice wood floor, wooden drawers, a lamp and a wood and canvas wardrobe.
My street is fairly quiet despite being so close to town.
  • The house is superbly located - just a few minutes walk into the centre of town. Starbuck is also very quick at communicating, sorting out a hasty check-in without a problem.

    Michael2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Not the prettiest spot in this Fine City but very convenient. Bed was really comfortable so I slept well.

    David2017-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Starbuck was very communicative before our visit, and everything worked smoothly. He was welcoming and showed us around the place when we arrived. Nearby street parking is available on Saturday evening and Sunday - otherwise you'd need to find a car park. The house is walking distance from anywhere in the centre, and the room is quiet despite being close to the ringroad. Thanks, Starbuck!

    Rachel2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very easy going, friendly people who were accommodating to our changing schedule. No curfew and flexible check out times which is exactly what we needed for a weekend city trip. Would recommend and hopefully will stay again

    Adam 2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Really good night's sleep in a cosy & quiet room at Starbuck's place - great value and the city centre is on your doorstep. Perfect for a business traveller like me. Starbuck was a really friendly host and I would definitely stay again.

    Tim2017-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • A good place to stay, nice and affordable!

    Xuel2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Decent size room, comfy bed and powerful shower with fresh towels provided along with breakfast essentials. Good location in quiet area, but only 10-15 min walk from city centre which was convenient for us. Car park close by. Would recommend.

    Andrew2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay, Starbuck left us to ourselves and check in/out was flexible. Access to tea and breakfast cupboard appreciated :)

  • Fahri and his wife were great hosts, the bed was very comfortable, and their house was in a perfect location for exploring the city.

    Jo2015-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Fahri was very nice. We haven't been in the house much as we had a wedding to attend, but he made us feel very welcome. The house is very near the city centre and only 10 -15 minutes walk from the station. He is a great host, I recommend his place!

    martina 2014-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • We spent 2 days in Fahri's house, our room was lovely, though we didn't expect other guests staying as well. As i said, our accomodation was nice, but kitchen and bathroom were messy - probably because Fahri and his family were absent and other guests didn't bother keeping it clean. We didn't manage to meet Fahri in person but he was helpful via phone. Thank you for you anonymous Russian guests x

    Polina2014-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great location just 5 min walking from the centre. Fahri is very nice and friendly, lovely house!

    Marina2015-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, very friendly host. I was working most of my stay but would definately stay there again. Many thanks

    Joanne2015-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Unfortunately we did not get to meet Fahri during our stay in Norwich but a friend of his welcomed us and his very friendly cat made us feel at home. The house is in a very convenient location for the centre and we loved Norwich. The kitchen was available for us to use which was a great asset. The room was comfortable, although it is not in the quietest location in the middle of town on a Saturday night!

    Rosie2016-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Fair was extremely pleasant and helpful, showing us where the facilities were and how to use the shower etc.

    Emily2016-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Fahri and his wife were incredibly welcoming - we felt at home at their house straight away. our room was basic but very comfortable - perfect for our needs for the weekend. Unfortunately, as we were out and about in Norwich for most of the time we were visiting, we didn't spend much time with Fahri, but we enjoyed his company when our paths crossed. Their cat Priscilla was amazing - so friendly and fluffy! Would love to stay again when we come back to Norwich. Thanks both for your hospitality!

  • On arrival of our stay at #100, we were greeted by a very friendly heather. Straight away we both felt like we were coming home to family. The house is so gorgeous! A beautiful cottage style house which exceeded our expectations. Covering 4 levels, each room felt comfortable, homely & very clean. We were able to access the kitchen with the facilities to cook if we pleased. We utilised their gorgeous garden and spent a few afternoons having a beer & champers with some nibbles outside, and we felt so comfortable with our hosts we enjoyed sharing these moments with them. The Newley renovated bathroom was so beautiful, I even made time to have a lovely relaxing bath. Our bedroom was so sweet, comfortable & very impressive actually. We also had a beautiful view which was so great waking up to! Heather & Gamble were fantastic in giving us advice on where to go & what to do, along with providing a bunch of brochures for us. We absolutely loved our stay here, so much so it has been the best place we have stayed at with Airbnb. Truly great value here & we both couldn't recommend this enough, also suitable for anyone traveling (young, old, professionals, couples etc). We are truly grateful for our experience here and most importantly, we have left with new friendships that will last for life! We are already looking forward to coming back. Thank you so much Heather & Gamble. Renee & Wayne (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)

    Wayne2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Heather and her partner were wonderful hosts who really represent what Airbnb is all about. We were greeted like old friends, offered a drink in the garden after the long trip which was really welcome. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed comfortable, and it felt really private and welcoming to come home to. The view out the picture window was gorgeous. Breakfast in the lovely kitchen and the bathroom was special too. thank you Heather and Gamble.

    Sara 2016-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • A superb stay with great hosts and a really warm welcome! We'd had a long journey and were made to feel welcome straight away. Lovely clean room and easy access into town by walking or bus and there's even a great pub nearby. Thank you for a great stay!

    Abigail 2016-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks to Heather and David for making me feel very welcome! It was great to come back after work to such a comfortable and relaxed home. I enjoyed our morning chats and the breakfast certainly set me up for the rest of the day. I will definitely be in touch to stay again!

    Mark2017-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Heather & David were great hosts from the minute we stepped inside. Good glass of wine or two sat in the neat, well tendered garden. Very easy to have a chin wag with. They have spent the last 14 years restoring their home to it's former glory. The kitchen has a warm farmhouse feel. Heather will get whatever you request for breakfast. They are both fairly new to hosting...you would never know...they are born entertainers...Well Done! Will certainly recommend to anyone wanting to visit Norwich. Nick & Sue Parfitt xx

    Susan2016-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Heather is the perfect Airbnb host, she is an excellent communicator and genuinely enjoys having visitors to her lovely Norwich home. The house is a small neat terrace just 10 minutes walk away from the centre of Norwich. There is parking on the road outside the house and Heather has parking permit voucher available. Inside the house Heather and her partner have built a beautiful home that makes maximum use of the available space. The attic bedroom is warm, cosy and well equipped and like the rest of the house tastefully decorated. Downstairs in the basement kitchen Heather provides a fantastic breakfast with plenty of tea and the best home made damson jam. I would highly recommend staying at Heather house on your next trip to Norwich.

    Richard2016-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Meeting Heather & Dave was like hooking up with good friends.. So welcoming and so kind. Staying here was better than a Five Star Hotel! Perfect location A wonderful experience in a beautiful & immaculate home. Thank you Heather & Dave.

    Clancy2017-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Heather and Gamble are wonderful hosts, always looking after their guests and making sure that they feel at home. The spacious kitchen is ideal for relaxing after a hard day wandering through the cobbled streets. Leave the guidebooks at home, they will tell you the best places to go, whether it is the best fish and chips in town, Grosvenor Fish Bar eaten in the Birdcage pub opposite, or the best bus to get to the Broads at Wroxham. Lovely stay, lovely house, lovely people.

This is delightful residential area with a friendly atmosphere home to both families and students.
  • Excellent location for the city or university. A charming, peaceful room overlooking a sunny garden visited by birds. Lovely bathroom with roll top bath and high tech shower. A wonderful, relaxing, period home with bags of character. Warm, kind, discreet, hosts. Perfect.

  • Felt very welcomed by Deborah and Andy, and we were well provided for, including great home made bread at breakfast!

    Tony2017-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • We were met with a lovely warm greeting from hosts Deborah and Andy. We stayed two nights and had a pretty room with lots of charm and the best bee wall paper!! Sole use of bathroom/ shower room and amazing breakfasts with homemade bread (yes Andy, it gets a mention!), yogurts, granola and fresh fruit. Deborah gives a lot of attention to the little details - flowers in the bedroom, coffee/ tea making facilities, soap, and towels. The house is full of character and is in a quiet residential street, there is unrestricted parking nearby. This was our first airbnb experience and I think we hit gold! Thank you!

  • I booked this on behalf of a friend, and I couldn't have chosen better! The room was very clean, and light with a lovely view of the garden and the bathroom next door was large, with a very modern shower. Deborah was very kind, putting out breakfast every morning, and there was never a sense of intrusion. Knowing Norwich, the location is very good. I heartedly recommend anyone who's looking for a place to stay, Deborah's place!

    Sky2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cozy room, with a good range of teas. Beautiful bathroom with luxurious tub! Both Deborah and Andy are so relaxed, kind and accommodating. I will definitely use their place again next time I need a bed and breakfast in Norwich.

  • We had a lovely time visiting Norwich and staying at Deborah and Andy's home. The room is cosy and peaceful, the bathroom is luxurious and the breakfast was delicious. Deborah and Andy are friendly, welcoming hosts and their two dogs are delightful. We would thoroughly recommend this place as a great base from which to explore the city.

They could not rate Deborah's home more highly. A beautiful home, great amenities, perfect location, truly the most perfect hosts. Thank you so much guys!

  • We were greeted on arrival by Dawn, who is really friendly and helpful. The room was terrific, the house beautiful and although on the busiest main road in Norwich, the situation meant it was very quiet. We felt that we were in a home, not a commercial location. Parking was easy, and we were also able to catch frequent buses to the city centre from outside the house. We will certainly come back to 175 when next in Norwich.

  • I was made extremely welcome by the hosts. The room was very comfortable and access to the house in a quiet leafy area of Norwich was very convenient.

  • Lovely warm welcome from Dawn, beautifully appointed large room with table in bay window for breakfast etc. Dawn supplies crockery and communal fridge so bring a box of cereal and your good to go!! Huge bathroom with luxurious bath, big enough for 2!! Thoroughly recommend 175 Newmarket Road and hope to come again. Ps If you enjoy a dip, ask about booking the indoor pool which can be booked at good rates. Pippa and Chris Parker

"Like sleeping on a cloud." That may be an exaggeration, but this room has a very comfortable bed and an airy view over the quiet neighbourhood toward the imposing gothic tower of St. John the Baptist Cathedral. It also has a single bed.
A large, cosy attic room; way up high, overlooking the peaceful street and beyond to the nearby cathedral. With its low angular ceilings and eclectic decor, it's a perfect hideaway for a couple, or large enough for a small family. The king-sized bed has been described as like "sleeping on a cloud," and there's a single bed tucked under the sloping ceiling too. There is even enough room to inflate an air mattress in this room to accommodate a larger family - (Airbandb actually began business with an air bed). This quiet, characterful room also has a bureau desk which makes it an ideal space from which to catch up on work or study We also have two other double rooms listed on AirB&B - The Island Room and The Red Room.
Our neighbourhood is really the heart of Norwich City itself. Our house is only 10 minutes walk from the city centre with its colourful market, historic buildings, arty lanes, commanding castle and vibrant shopping heaven. Even closer to home we have Unthank Road village about 2 minutes walk down the road where you will find a Tesco Express, Adnams Beer & Gift Shop, The Blue Joanna Bistro, Lust & Liquor Taco and Cocktail Bar, the William & Florence Gourmet Pub, The Unthank Kitchen Café, Indian and Chinese takeaways, a Subway Sandwich Shop, a newsagent, pharmacy, greengrocers, butchers, baker, but sadly no candlestick makers. There are also at least 8 other pubs with 5 minutes walk of our place, more beyond that. If pubs aren't your thing, there is the imposing neo-gothic Roman Catholic cathedral just down the road.
  • Lovely place close to the center!

  • We had a very nice stay at Mike's house in Norwich; the house is very nice with very personal and warm touches. The room was very cozy and comfy and we had a very comfortable sleep. Mike has given us some very good suggestions for restaurants and what to do in the city and around, which we followed to our satisfaction. Totally recommended!

    Marco2016-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Mike was very welcoming and the room itself was comfortable and spacious. This is an ideal location for both the city centre and for the university.

  • Mike and Sheila were very welcoming and helpful. The room was just great - cosy and comfortable. Great tips on visiting Norwich. Couldn't have asked for more.

  • Mike and Shelia are lovely hosts, very welcoming and friendly; they have a gorgeous house and we had a great stay. Thank you.

    Susanna2015-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed there with a colleague for 10 days. It was perfect, we got a very warm welcome from Mike, Sheila and their pets :) The room and the house is lovely and makes you feel home. The surrounding is calm and cute and in 10 minutes walking you are in the city center. Plus two buses are close by that go to the University.

    Veronica2016-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Mike's house doesn't stand out from the rest of the houses in the neighborhood, but once inside it is a pretty obvious that Mike has poured a lot of sweat and effort in making everyone who crosses his threshold as comfortable and welcomed as possible! His place is clean, friendly and a stone grown away from the city centre. Could you ask for more at such a great price! probably not in Norwich. Thanks Mike (for the morning coffee, toast and company).

My place is close to parks, art and culture, and restaurants and dining. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.
The studio flat is accessed off the ground floor to a large new apartment building in the city center. Parking is possible for stays longer than one week - arranged separately by email. The flat has all kitchen facilities with oven and fridge freezer and a washer/dryer. There is cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils available along with a few simple essentials such as salt/pepper and coffee/tea making facilities. Towels are provided. The flat also has a large flat screen TV with freeview available to you.
This is a city center location and as such we would always ask guests to be mindful when walking at night. Whilst the building has security lighting and CCTV it is not manned. Norwich is a beautiful city with much to see and do in and around the surrounding area. With the famous Broads and some unique places to visit, it is ideal for leisure and business visits.

  • I spent two nights in Dawns lovely house. Dawn was very clear and quick in all communications before the stay, and greeted me in person when I arrived. Her house is beautyfully decorated and inviting; the living/dining room is very nice and the kitchen very well equipped (and lovely!). My single room was quite small but fit me and my luggage, and a dresser to keep my things in and on. Chilling on the bed is fine and the living room is availabe for out-of-bed activities :) The house is in 10-15 minutes walking distance up the hill from the city centre and the area is excellent. Dawn knows the city and area well and gave me some great tips for my visit. She is a superb host and a lovely lady and I can absolutely recommend staying at her place!

  • Staying at Dawn's was a fab experience. Dawn was so welcoming and helpful, felt very relaxed and comfortable. Dawn's home is immaculate and a very short walk into the centre of Norwich and to the riverside. Would recommend that anyone stay at Dawn's 110%!

    Lydia2016-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Dawn's. Norwich is such a vibrant city and Dawn's home is perfectly placed to explore it. The home is immaculate, the bedroom arrangement ideal for our unit of 3. We were made to feel very welcome. Dawn proved an excellent communicator ahead of, and during our stay. We could not have wanted for better accommodation, and could not more highly recommend.

    Amanda2017-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Dawn was great, very flexible and easy to get a hold of and arrange access to the house. Her house is lovely, very clean and has all the amenities I needed for the night!

    Bekah2016-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • We were impressed by Dawn’s really beautiful, absolutely stylishly furnished and decorated house. Though, at first we were a bit surprised to realise that the double bed is only roughly 130 cm wide. However, Dawn reacted spontaneously and produced a camping bed so as to provide us with more space to sleep. Dawn is a very uncomplicated, kind and caring host as well as a really nice personality – it’s such a shame we didn’t have time to talk a bit longer.

    Helen2016-09-09T00:00:00Z

  • Very clean and nice accommodation. I was late on check in and couldn’t communicate the host. In spite of that Sonia gave a warm welcome even though she has to sleep early for her early morning job. Once I get chance to talk to Prash and we had a great chat over the dinner. I am a person who like to hang my cloths to the hanger. A small addition of wardrobe in the room will be great! The room I stayed was anyway spacious so wasn’t any problem anyway. The kitchen was spacious and with all the appliances. The bathroom had shampoo, body wash provided which was a fantastic addition. Highly recommend!!!

  • Staying with Prash and Sonia is the most easiest and convenient locations ever. Its so close to the main town centre and surroundings. You can literally to the town within ten minutes. Its a very good location and easy to access. Both Sonia and Prash are the very best hosts ever. Warm, friendly, welcoming and delightful. They will go out of their way to make your stay the most enjoyable ever. I have had a wonderful visit stopping over with them and highly recommend it all to those who want to go to Norwich. I can't tell you how thrilled I was staying with them. Go and see for yourselves today. You will not regret it!

  • Prash and Sonia were lovely hosts and the room was clean and warm. They left us to come and go as we pleased and they also left us lots of breakfast items to use if we'd have wanted to (we wanted to get straight off so we didnt). Their place is walking distance from Norwich Town Center so makes it perfect for shopping etc. The only downside was the parking, we had to park on the road (with a permit) and due to the parking restrictions we had to park some distance from the house (which we didn't expect)

    Liz2017-03-26T00:00:00Z

Lovely comfortable room, king size bed in stylish grade 2 listed railway cottage dating from 1850. I have a tranquil south facing sunny garden. Hot tub is available upon request to use during your stay. Boutique shower room, guest bath robes. Spacious living room and dining space. Near to the Rail Station 7 minute walk and 15 minutes to the city centre. Whitlingham Lane and Trowse are very near or equally you can walk along the river either into the city or out.
Delightful Victorian bedroom King Size bed in the cottage. The room has an extremely comfortable mattress and Egyptian cotton bedding, for a great nights sleep Individual in design, quiet and relaxing space. The house is an old railway cottage and full of character the bedroom is in the eaves, so a few sloping ceilings.
Quiet neighbourhood, the cottage is down the lane, though as it is a Railway Cottage and built originally for the railway workers it is near to the train line, so you will hear trains. Near by and walking distance to Norwich Riverside (5 mins) Shops, Bars, cinema, bowling and Restaurants by the river. Equally there is some nice places to eat along the riverside on Yarmouth Road. Or in Norwich City Centre. Whitlingham Lakes and Trowse dry Ski slope are in this area of the city. So a great escape if you fancy a bit of a walk in the country.
  • Perfect location, quiet, despite being so close to the train tracks, goes to show how amazingly built old houses are! Amanda has a charming place, that she has decorated lovingly! A warm and wonderful host, with an eye for detail. Amanda was helpful and kind and was up for a chat when the weather had us huddled inside! Thanks again for a wonderful couple of days!

  • This was our first air BnB experience and it totally exceeded any expectations we had - and I suspect, may never be topped! Amanda was so welcoming, from the very first instant we felt at home. Our bedroom was spotless and thoughtfully arranged even down to spare toothpaste and other toiletries we may have forgotten, which really touched me. Everything in every room was absolutely immaculate - and with the brand new bathroom and beautifully sculpted garden with its hot tub we really did feel like we were in our own spa retreat space. This felt even more so accompanied by beautiful fluffy towels, natural shower products and body lotions, and the dressing gowns which made the transition out of the hot tub a pleasure! We had a beautiful healthy and plentiful breakfast out in the garden every morning - granola and muesli without added sugar (which you'd struggle to find in a five star hotel) and Greek yogurt and summer berries to top it off. A lovely range of herbal teas for breakfast or when we got back in the evening - again an amazing range of impeccable quality and lovely to get an opportunity to try something new. The property, one of the oldest railway workers cottages in the country - has amazing character and is a joy to experience - giving a glimpse of the community that s many of us have lost in modern city life - we even got befriended by a neighbour! It's location with no car sounds makes being in the city peaceful and the occasional trains were a reminder of where we were, experiencing a piece of history - not a disturbance. It is just a short walk into the city centre & this made it easy to have a relaxing day exploring Norwich - as well as two days exploring the countryside and Coast & Amanda's recommendation of where to explore provided another highlight of the trip. I really can't imagine anything that could have made our trip either better or more relaxing. Really, 5 stars all the way! Thank you so much!

This room gets good sun light and it has a work space and a desk; which makes it perfect if you would like to read or study or work with your laptop. There are two single mattresses on the floor - so please note that there is not a proper bed. However, it is still pretty comfortable (I have tested and slept there often:) The house is close to the city centre, art and culture, great views, and parks. The room is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families.
Bright sunlight, two windows overlooking the garden, perfect for working/studying, comfortable enough for sleeping (you would be sleeping on the mattresses on the floor).

  • I would not recommend this home to anyone as the property had a bed bug at the moment also there was no bed in the room so I have to sleep on the oldi smelly mattress with dirty carpet near to my face I wanted go out and sleep in my car rather than sleeping in the floor I can't compare it to other property I was last week in Sheffield and you might could see my review in other property so I have no personal problem with Dr Farhi as he was a nice person for talk and communication but the quality of the room was zero

I was in the area to view properties to rent, and as an ex estate agent Rosie gave me lots of advice on the surrounding areas which was very kind. They made a great suggestion of a closeby pub to visit in the evening. An absolutely lovely family and a gorgeous home in a perfect location.

  • Rosie and her lovely family were the perfect hosts. They made me feel so welcome. The house is a beautiful home and is as nice as the photos show. If you are looking for a place to stay in central Norwich then Rosie should be at the top of your list.

    Stuart2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Rosie is a lovely host! She was easy to communicate with, super helpful, and friendly. Her home is really beautiful and comfortable. Our private space included a bedroom with a very comfortable bed, a sitting room, and a gorgeous bathroom with a claw foot tub AND a walk in shower. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. We would love to stay here again!

    Gayle2017-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location a short walk from Norwich centre, and parking right outside which is a big bonus. The room, and bathroom/shower/WC next door, are spotlessly clean, very modern and very nicely furnished. Both are down a short corridor, away from the rest of the house, which gives a little extra privacy. The bedroom is a tad small, with not much storage space, which does not matter remotely for a one night stay, and we noticed that there's a hanger set up outside the room for hanging clothes during a longer stay if necessary. Hosts very friendly and accommodating. We liked the freedom to make ourselves breakfast in their lovely kitchen in the morning.

    Steve2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Rosie's place was everything we expected and more. It was a great find at such a price and in such a central location. Despite train problems making our check-in time later than expected we received a very welcoming arrival, plus a spotless room with the comfiest bed and a gorgeous en-suite with a bathtub. They went to great lengths to ensure our stay was a good one, and it was - would recommend this place to anyone who is thinking of staying in Norwich.

    Danielle2017-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • It was an absolute treat to stay with Rosie and Will: a truly peaceful haven tucked away at the end of a quiet road, very close to the city centre. The room is lovely, the bed is comfy, and both the bedroom and bathroom are immaculate. Rosie and Will are welcoming, and the whole stay was restful and quiet, exactly what I needed.

    Charlotte2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely lovely stay with Rosie and her family including the gorgeous Lola (puppie). They all made us feel so welcome. Our room was great, immaculate, comfortable bed and so peaceful. The house is a short walk from town. Would definitely like to stay again. Many thanks for a lovely stay including all your thoughtful touches for Matt's birthday. Hope to see you again soon , Dorothy and Ian

  • Paul's place was truly amazing. You could notice at first sight that is living there an architect, an artist. Little details that take matter. Decorative elements, paintings and graphics. Spacious big sunny room. Clean and tidy. Like at home. Paul is a great host. So kind and friendly. He gave us a map to orientate in the city. He prepared a hot cup of coffee in the morning. He gave us so many pieces of advice what to see, where to go. That was a really really nice stay at his place. Very good, optimistic, cheerful person.

    Dora2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely recommend staying at this room . All is around the corner - direct bus to uea takes 12 minutes - walking to the city center is about the same . Beautiful bed room and kitchen -- I enjoyed staying there

    Michael2017-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • It was the most comfortable bed in the world!

    Laura2017-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • Good communication prior to the arrival date. Paul was a very pleasant host who left me to my own space but was also on hand for any questions. The property is tastefully decorated and the room itself was a good size, clean and tidy and also comfy too. I stayed in the area to attend a nearby party. It's walkable to Norwich city centre or there's a bus stop at the end of the road. I was in a rush to get to the event so paid £6-8 for a taxi to and from Paul's to the train station.

    Samuel2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is very convenient to the city as well as eateries. Paul was welcoming above and beyond what I'm accustomed to. His style is comfortable and minimal, with an amazing touch of class.

    Ann2017-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • Paul's place was excellent--clean, classy, and located very close to the 25 bus line that goes to UEA as well as the Norwich station. He's an excellent, excellent host--giving me enough privacy but also helping me out whenever I ask. He cooked me eggs in the morning and made me fresh coffee. I will stay there again in a heartbeat!

We are a 15 minute walk from the centre of Norwich. There are lovely Parks close to us and we are a 25 minute walk from the UEA. The Greengrocers 1 minute away is a lovely cafe that serves pizzas on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Also one minute away are a Chinese and Indian Takeaway. Great local pubs within 5 minutes are The Alexander Tavern, The Garden House, The Black Horse, The Earlham Arms and The Workshop. All serve food too. Possibly the best fish and chip shop is also only 5 minutes away on Stafford Street. If you like cinema then Cinema City is a 20 minute walk from our house. Norwich is full of shops, cafes, churches and history. If you like to swim then the UEA Sportspark is 25 minute walk or 10 minute cycle.

My place is close to the city centre (about 10 minute walk) and a great pub called the Fat Cat yet still very quiet. You’ll love my place because of the location and the comfy bed. The room would suit couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). I can add a single bed to the room if you want two beds or are three people.
Nice, light and quiet bedroom on the ground floor. Very comfy bed and place to put your clothes away.
The great thing about where we live is that it is nice and quiet but still close to the city centre.
  • Emily is a lovely person. The room was nice and warm with a comfortable, lavender-scented bed. What is important, the house is located very close to the town centre. Emily provided also flexible check- in and check-out hours. If needed, I would stay here again next time. Highly recommended.

Very good communication before my coming, useful indications about city spots and nice talking during dinner time. Thank you and have a nice time with your trip to italy!

Quayside apartments are a selection of two bedroom apartments located right on the river along a lovely cobbled lane. The building is an old conversion which means the apartments have lots of character, high ceilings, wooden floors throughout and large sash windows. All of the apartments have two good sized bedrooms each with a kingsize bed so these apartments can easily accommodate four guests.
The living space is large and open plan with a large dining table making it a really sociable space for family or for entertaining. The ground floor apartment also has a little courtyard garden which is lovely in the spring and summer for a glass of wine or dinner alfresco! Quayside itself is just next to Tombland so it enjoys all of the amenities within that area which is known as the Historic Quarter so you are in the middle of the very pretty historic buildings such as the Cathedral, the Castle and the oldest streets of Norwich which boast some very pretty boutiques and restaurants and coffee shops. The area itself is within a few minutes walk of the main shopping area which also wonderful options of places to eat and drink….you will be spoilt for choice!
The apartment is situated in the heart of the oldest part of Norwich, Tombland, it therefore enjoys views of the Cathedral and the historic Elm Hill area which is home to a host of beautiful antique shops and quaint restaurants. The ever expanding shopping centre is a few minutes walk away and since the arrival of the Chapelfield shopping mall which includes House of Fraser, Marks and Spencer, John Lewis and many more it is a great place to stay for those who wish to explore this side of Norwich. In addition the apartment is a simple ten minute, 5 mile drive away from the Norfolk Broads, this is a beautiful area to visit all year round and with attractions such as boat rides along the Broads, Bewilderwood and Wroxham Barns for the children it is a popular place for a wide variety of age groups. The North Norfolk coast is only 1/2 an hour drive away which is lovely for long walks and pub lunches, it also houses some beautiful boutiques and places of interest. Tombland is also well known for it's beautiful and unique selection of restaurants and wine bars, there is a wide selection available which cater for all tastes. There is also a small hackney carriage rank just nearby so anyone who wants to venture further than this short walk can do so both easily and safely.

  • Jim and his partner were very welcoming hosts, allowing us to check in earlier than advertised. Their cottage is well located in the centre of Norwich and is very stylish and clean. The kitchen had all the facilities you'd expect, including an excellent coffee machine. They supplied us with a list of their favourite independent restaurants, coffee shops and pubs around Norwich; many of which we tried and loved. Overall, one of the best Airbnb experiences we've had.

You can be self contained as there is a fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle on the landing, though you are welcome to share our kitchen and enjoy our garden. Round the corner are shops, restaurants and pubs.

  • I had to stay overnight in Norwich for a next morning appointment professional course at the Norwich University Hospital which is a short 20-30 minutes walk along a pleasant route. My train was delayed by half and hour and I arrived later than expected at Christine's place the evening before. However she, and her husband, gave me a very warm welcome and helped me get settled down very quickly and I felt literally at home. Their house is beautiful and the room was very spacious and clean with a comfortable bed and an en-suite bathroom with all the toiletries available. There was no noise from the traffic in the room at all overnight and I had a good night's sleep. I had full access to their well-equiped kitchen where I warmed my dinner and the next morning Christine had kindly arranged a very healthy breakfast. The hosts were charming to a fault throughout and it reflected the decent people they are. I would strongly recommend the place.

Check out time was flexible as I had to leave quite early in the morning. The place is close to A11 and UEA, there is a Tesco within a walking distance. The host was friendly and approachable. I would stay there again and highly recommend it anyone.

My place is situated in a well looked after complex, just a short walk from the city centre with its fantastic shopping, nightlife and fine restaurants. It is close to the main train station, a retail park, bowling alley, cinema and supermarket. You'll find it peaceful and quiet. The apartment is suitable single person or a couple and business travellers. A parking space is included.
  • Thank you for a lovely stay, would stay again. Will recommend :)

  • Emmy flat is close to town but is away from all of the noise. We had a comfortable stay and Emmy was very flexible with checking in and understanding when I was running a little late. If you're looking for a central place to stay then this flat is a good choice. It is basic but it suited us perfectly as we wanted a place to chill out, watch TV and close to town to see all of the sites. Thank you Emmy!

  • We found the flat to be a compact, comfortable flat, in a quiet residential area, within walking distance of Norwich city centre. We had a very pleasant stay and thought the host (Emmy) was very welcoming.

  • Emmy was a good communicator and met us exactly as we arrived. The flat was around 5-10 mins away from the centre and he gave us plenty of local tips. The flat was cosy for me and my wife and we would use the flat again. It was conveniently located in a quiet block. Thanks

  • Beautiful and very homely house, room was nice and clean with a good comfortable bed. The house is well located, closer to shopping centre, Norwich scenic and restaurants. Layla was very polite, and helpful with directions, even though I was a bit late to check in:-) and the 1 o'clock check out is agreeable the best check out time. Thanks Layla.

  • We were so happy with our stay. It's so central to such a beautiful city and Layla is warm and welcoming and the house is gorgeous. It took us about 5 minutes to walk into the centre of the city (which is gorgeous and lively). We'll definitely visit again ❤

  • Jo's place is lovely - a comfortable, beautifully decorated and charming ground floor flat in an elegant Georgian building. Jo was very helpful, friendly and welcoming, making me feel very safe as a single traveller. Jo's place is very central, just a short walk from Norwich Market which has a great range of really good value street food stalls and is close to lots of individual small shops as well as being close to supermarkets and big stores. A great place to stay to enjoy Norwich.

    Melanie2017-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Jo is a great hostess, the location of the flat superb, so close to the City Centre. I hope to stay again soon.

  • We had a lovely stay at Jo's place. The apartment is in a fantastic location, very close to the market at Chapefields with some great places to eat. Jo was very welcoming and informative. She showed us around the flat and helped us settle in. The apartment was very clean and tidy. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

  • I found this apartment as amazing place to stay at in Norwich. The location is perfect. Just 2 minutes walk from central market and shopping mall what is really helpful. The flat is really clean and comfortable: big bed, soft sofa, all important stuff for cooking and great selection of movies. I really liked the design though. Especially vintage fireplaces. Quite often in the UK you struggle with bad heating system but not here. Any time you get cold you can ask Jo for making it bit warmer. Jo was one of the best hosts I've ever met. She was really welcoming and kind. And no matter what you can always ask for a help.

    Viktorija2017-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful flat in the centre of Norwich. Jo is a fantastic hostess. We couldn't have asked for more.

    Michelle2017-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Jo is a very welcoming host. All the important details were explained on arrival, and the place was extremely clean. The location couldn't be more central. Jo and I chatted a lot during my trip, but she was also respectful of my personal space. She was always available to answer requests/problems I had. This was my first trip, and it was a positive experience.
