    This fully self-contained, fully airconditioned home is the lowest price for a two-bedroom unit on The Strand. It has views of the ocean from the side balcony. It is not a high-end apartment but it is comfortable, clean and professionally styled. The 81 sqm unit also has a small fold-out single guest bed for a fifth person (suits a child NOT an adult). Although the complex was built in the 70s, the unit has been professionally renovated.
    A beautiful private, fully self-contained, fully airconditioned, apartment, is situated right on The Strand of Townsville. Great views from the side balcony and it boasts an amazing location. Walking distance to all that the beautiful Strand has to offer, restaurants, boutique shopping, Jezzine Barracks, rock pool, water park and night markets. The modern, fully air conditioned, two-bedroom apartment has one Queen bed in one room and one Double bed in the other. The apartment is designed for a maximum four adults. The fifth bed is a small fold-out guest bed (there’s room in both bedrooms to place this). But it must be stressed the small fold-out bed is designed for an extra child not a fifth adult. Unlimited NBN Wi-Fi is complimentary and you have one undercover car space infront of your private laundry room.
    The Strand is the best street in Townsville in terms of access to the beach and beachside restaurants.

  • This is a little gem. It outdid my expectations. The apartment is as you can see an older styling block quite common in Australia. However there are some very nice differences here. The laundry downstairs means the sound of the washer and heat of the dryer doesn’t disturb your peace. It’s already hot enough without a dryer running. Of course. Great. The parking is spacious. I had a big car and fit easily. The stairs are only for 4 units so there isn’t the feeling of everyone walking past your stairs to get to their apartment as is common with these apartment blocks. These hosts have done a really nice job of set up. Everything is very well ordered. Plates and pans and pots and food and kitchen cleaning accessories. There is aircon in the living room and both bedrooms. There is a sliver of a view if the beach. You are at the back of apartments so no traffic noise. There is a little greenery to see. The beach is right there at the door step with a lovely landscapes walk. I walked all the way to twin centre. It was delightful. Just 7 mins in the car to town. There is a cafe right there in the beach so you don’t have to go far. There is a pub and other restaurants not too far way. This apartment needs a car and good mobility as it has steps and stairs and is a distance to get to town. I loved this apartment and recommended it to friends. It’s a hidden gem. I was nicely surprised. Much nicer than staying In some motel on the strand. Loved it

    You’ll love our place because of the position on Townsville's picturesque waterfront. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers and families (with kids). As well as the queen size bed in the bedroom there is a double pull-out sofa bed. You have a TV in both the bed room and the lounge.The complex including underground car park is fully secured. Positioned in the hub of The Strand surrounded by restaurants. A large Coles Supermarket is only a short walk away

  • Five stars all round! Best location on the Strand, right next to the coffee shop for your morning coffee and across the road from the beach. Five minutes walk to the splash park if you have kids and many great restaurants within walking distance. Colleen and John we’re really thoughtful, leaving a nice selection of food and drinks for us. Also having free access to a washing machine and dryer was really helpful! Apartment itself of spacious and has everything you need!   • We really enjoyed our four night stay here. The view is even better than the pictures! The studio apartment was perfectly adequate for the two of us & we felt very comfortable. The bed was lovely & we appreciated that there were 4 pillows to choose from. We used the balcony quite often during the day & evenings. The air con was much appreciated too, but we did not have to use it often. The small kitchen was well equipped for preparing small meals. The coffee pods & milk were a very welcome touch, as were the toiletries & beach towels. We also liked the large walk in shower. The location was ideal with plenty of restaurants close by & a Coles supermarket within easy walking distance. Wendy’s communication & after hour access instructions were very clear. Wendy was very kind & friendly. We hope to return to Townsville & stay here again in the near future & have no hesitation to recommend to others.

The apartment is one block from all amenities...the beach, the grocery store, restaurants Downtown and the ferry terminal are a 20 minute walk. No need to rent a car. The apartment is in a gated community. We felt safe all the time Romee and Bep are wonderful hosts and very attentive, easy to communicate with. They picked us up at the airport and introduced us to Townsville. During our stay , the hosts provided us with a new mattress and coffee maker

  • I recommend this appartment to everyone. Location is very good, near the Strand and a Coles-store at walking distance. The hospitality of Romee is unique. The fridge was full of food and drinks, which is very nice coming from an intercontinental flight. Romee gave us all tips about where to go etc. A few days later we had dinner together with her husband. The appartment has everything you want for a short or long stay. We most certainly will come back if we are staying in Townsville again. Highly recommend.

    Located on Townsville's iconic Strand, our ground floor studio apartment with quaint courtyard which accesses the pool and BBQ area is a little slice of paradise. Restaurants, Pubs, Casino, Coles supermarket and Cafes are within walking distance, so no need to cook, however the studio has a ceramic cooktop and microwave if you don't feel like going out. The king size bed can be split into two singles if required.
    Comfortable king size bed with Foxtel, table and chairs for dining, coffee table and lounge chairs for relaxing and outdoor table and chairs in the courtyard to enjoy fresh air. Located on the eastern side the ground floor unit has easy access to the pool or BBQ area. The king size bed can be split into two king singles.
    The Strand is a major attraction in Townsville with a salt water Rock pool at one end and the Casino at the other end only around 2.5 kilometers apart. There is also two salt water patrolled swimming enclosures, exercise equipment a Olympic size swimming pool and a kids water fun park.

Supermarket is a 1 minute walk. City is a 5 minute walk away. Lounge room with leather lounge suite opens onto verandah with stunning views. Separate dining area and modern kitchen. Two bedrooms available each with a queen size bed and ensuite. Separate laundry with washing machine and dryer available.
    I love my home, it's open, airy and great views over to Magnetic Island and up to the Palm Islands. It is the 3rd floor of the unit complex, however access is via the stairs. It's across the road from the beach. If you like walking The Strand is a great walk. Or walk to The Rockpool for a swim. It's a short walk into the city centre, close to cafes, shops and restaurants. If you want to buy food, Coles, a bakery, butcher and The Source are in the shopping complex across the road at the back of the complex. Quiet cul de sac and only 2 other units in the complex.

    This two bedroom self contained unit is 50mtrs from Townsville's most known attraction, "The Strand". Close to shops, restaurants, nightlife, public transport, city centre and parks are all in walking distance. My Mother lives next door and is happy to assist if we are unavailable. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids).
    If your visiting Townsville the only location you want to be is THE STRAND, the apartment is in a block of 4 and 2 of these are residential. It's an older style apartment with comfortable furnishings and clean. It is an upstairs unit and has nice breezes. Both bedrooms have air cons to have a good night sleep in the summer months but there is no air conditioning throughout the main living areas but there are fans. Tea and coffee is provided free of charge. NBN has been installed with Wi-Fi
    The apartment is within walking distance to everything that Townsville has to offer The Rock pool, Water park, Restaurants, Bars, Casino and Ferry to Magnetic island. It's such a nice area to walk along the beachfront from the apartment.

( place looks way better than what you see in the pics) Its only two minutes walk to the beach and The Strand and 15 mins walk to the ferry wharf . There are quite of lot restaurants near by. Banks, pubs and supermarket are close, and only a further block away. Flinders Street is a 5 minute stroll away, with cafes and shops There is good cofffee in Townsville. We'll let you know where. And lots of alfresco bars. You are staying in the city precinct of North Queensland's largest town, so there can be traffic noise at night and early in the morning. The room is quiet if you close the windows and optionally have the ceiling fan on low, you are likely to have an undisturbed night.

  • Carolyn and Bill's place has a wonderful view, you cannot fault the outlook. A small balcony with table and chairs provided to enjoy that glass of wine or your early morning coffee/breakfast looking at the glorious view. We stayed at the apartment 1312 over the New Years celebrations and is was the best location to be able to watch the New Year's Eve fireworks. You could not beat this for location. Room 1312 is located on the top floor of "The Acquarius Apartments", located at the very end of Level 13, the building is older style and the room is basic, it is a studio apartment as advised. And is not 5 star as mentioned. The location on the Strand is great with many restaurants within walking distance to choose from. With the Rock pool and netted beach swim area with is patrolled beach is walking distance of the apartment. Check in was very easy with instructions provided from the host. There is limited cooking facilities in the apartment but most of the utensils / cooking implements that you would require on a short holiday. Some condiments are provided sauces, milk, water, S&P, milo, foil, glad wrap etc. A good size fridge is provided as well. The king bed is very comfortable and wi-fi worked very well in the room. Good size TV with foxtel. Air conditioning was much appreciated in the apartment. No washing machine or dryer is in the room but there are laundry facilities located on Level 1 of the apartment building to use with a fee, I did not use these appliances so I cannot comment on these facilities. The bathroom is older style with a handy bath/shower if required, and toiled located in the bathroom, we did have some issues on arrival but these were attended to with a quick call to the hosts and rectified. The apartment is very quiet and you do not hear any noise from the adjoining apartment. The building has a lovely pool area that is kept very clean with loungers provided and a new deck to sit on enjoy. Parking at the apartments is a first come first served basis, so not enough car spaces available for everyone when the apartments are all full, street parking is available to use. In the foyer of the building there are many brochures on activities to do in the area and also provided is a drink machine and chip/lolly machine for your convenience. The gardens around the building are maintained and are lovely to enjoy sitting in and relaxing. A nice place to visit.

The location is fantastic and providing the push bikes to ride down the Strand was great!     As we are located right on The Strand, the apartment is walking distance to numerous restaurants, cafe's, playgrounds, the rock pool, children's waterpark, local swimming pool and Jazzine Barracks. We are also located across the road from the best ice creamery in Townsville. We have stunning water views, with the beach just across the road.

    The Space While this apartment maintains many of its 70's retro features; it does offer comfort and location in a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom space with open plan living and dining area. If you have young children we can arrange a baby high chair and offer a porta cot (please bring your own linen for the cot). The main entrance offers a coded deadlock for a smooth Self Check-In. All bedrooms and living areas have airconditioning. There is a TV in the living room but due to reception issues will only work for guests that have their own Netflix account. There is Unlimited High Speed Internet for guests. The complete kitchen boasts a fridge/freezer, combined oven and cook top and is set up with everything you need to whip up a holiday meal. If you're not in the mood for cooking and you're looking for something fancier take a stroll to the beautiful Strand where you can dine with a view at one of the many restaurants, bars and cafes.
    Close to the Strand, there are numerous places to eat; try the amazing Bakehouse on Eyre right at the end of our street. You won't be disappointed. There are many beautiful walking tracks in this suburb; whether you choose to stroll along the Strand looking out to Magnetic Island or wishing to hike up the iconic Castle Hill.

On a trip to visit family my 6yr old son and I needed to stay on in Townsville (during the Covid-19 pandemic). Initially I chose the apartment simply for location and value for money, but it also offered so much more. The positive guest reviews, pictures and accomodation overview (incl. location, amenities, facilities, stylish furnishings, atmosphere, access to services) are all entirely accurate. And above all Peggy is a thoughtful, responsive and attentive host. For us she went over and above to ensure we were comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed our tranquil time in "isolation" here, especially the cool breezes on the back balcony. We hope to stay again, and highly recommend to singles, couples (1 or 2) and families alike.

  • Peggy is a thoughtful host. Her apartment is highly recommended by myself and my family. I have 3 young children and found the apartment to be a good size. It was very clean and welcoming with lots of nice touches. The location is a highlight being one block from the strand, so within walking distance and not too far from the famous Juliettes, the best place in town for coffee and cake. Peggy was also quick to respond to a question I had and I felt confident if any more questions had arose she would of been prompt with her reply. Oh and the beds are comfortable too!

  • The ice-cream in the fridge was a super surprise, specially when we arrived after a long sunny trip. So thank you, Peggy! The place is very clean, well equipped and a few steps away from playgrounds which makes it a perfect stay if you have children. We even had a baby bed and a high chair for our daughter 😍 Also really close to Billabong Sanctuary, that is a MUST if you are traveling from Europe. We will definitely recommend it.

It’s also close to Castle Hill which is a lovely sunrise / sunset walk. The apartment was clean and had lots of amenities which was very useful for us.   • I really enjoyed staying at Wendy’s unit. It’s in a great place on the Strand, close to Gregory St and across the road from beautiful strolls along the beachfront. The pool is a godsend with the hot weather. During my stay the nets were closed due to the stingers so it was great to swim in the sparkling pool. The staff at Aquarius are particularly helpful and pleasant. I highly recommend staying at Wendy’s unit.

    Location, location, location. Top floor fully airconditioned 2 bedroom unit that sleeps up to five people (5th person on air mattress) with secure parking. Located in Northward with views of castle hill and the city. A 10 minute walk to the strand, stadium, city centre, restaurants, casino, cinemas, night life and castle hill. Pool, tennis court and BBQ in complex and free WIFI. Children are welcome but parents please be aware the unit is on top floor and I have two balcony areas.
    Self contained unit. Both bedrooms are air conditioned, the main bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has two single beds. An additional air mattress can be provided for a 5th person if needed however it's only a mattress on the floor. The bathroom has access from both bedrooms with locks on both doors for privacy. Kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, glass cooktop and cooking utensils. In the laundry there is a 5kg washing machine, extra towels and linen for long term stayers. The living area has a split air conditioner, television, DVD player, comfortable lounge, bookcase with games, DVD's and there is a writing desk with printer.

  • Great location and friendly staff. Can see a good view from the balcony. Just some minor things are the room didnt look as new as shown in the pictures. And the wifi signal wasnt so strong. But it would be a good place to stay for few nights.

  • Modern, clean, spacious room. Huge comfy bed. Fully equipped kitchen for self-catering. We missed an exhaust fan in the rather small bathroom/toilet and dish sponge for washing up when not using the dishwasher. Otherwise a great place to stay in Townsville xx

    My city oasis is opposite a beautiful well maintained park, in the same street is the local cricket field and club with the lawn bowls club a few further metres down the my street. I am close to the city and the strand and walking distance to the local pubs and shopping centre. The major Castletown shopping centre is in walking distance.
