Just booked in North Sea

Located in the heart of Southampton Village, this updated, immaculate cottage is your home-away-from-home. Nestled in an easy-to-get-to, safe, well-lit neighborhood, you are steps away from premiere shopping, eateries, wineries, and pristine beaches.
This simple, quiet, centrally-located cottage is the ideal getaway! Perfect for those with or without a vehicle, it is only a 5 min. walk from the train station and a 5 min. walk to town. It also boasts a full kitchen, W/D, and private patio. Be close to everything Southampton has to offer while enjoying absolute peace and quiet! 1 queen-sized bed, 1 full bathroom with stand up shower, Full sleeper sofa, Full kitchen includes refrigerator [no freezer], dishwasher, Insinkerator food disposer, Keurig coffeemaker, toaster oven, and blender (no microwave), Cable TV/DVD & WiFi, A/C, Nest Learning Thermostat (installed Fall 2015), Two blocks to town (safe sidewalks), 1 mile to beach, bicycles available for use. 1-2 parking spaces (no street parking allowed). Walk to train and bus service to NYC. Cottage is located behind main house on Elm Street, with its own parking spot and entrance on John Street. No pets allowed. Updates to Pictures: The Living Room has been updated with new couch pillows, area rug, and coffee table. The outdoor lounge chairs have cushions.
Quiet, residential neighborhood (although mid-week, and during the warm months, weekdays can be busy with landscapers and new housing construction, but I promise the cottage is very quiet!). Convenient to everything - train station, shops, restaurants, beaches, parks. Walk-able, great for running and/or biking. I have some year-round neighbors, but many houses are 2nd homes/seasonal. Please be respectful of both my neighbors and of the many workers that are around during the day. It is still considered a booming neighborhood, and that is a good thing! Lots of new construction means we have a very healthy economy.
  • My husband and I had a wonderful time at this AirBnB. Elm Street Cottage is a little gem, beautifully decorated, with a very comfortable bed, a well appointed kitchen and a comfortable sofa for relaxing on. We explored Southampton on bicycles, went to the beach and visited the museum. All were excellent. Citarella' supermarket had a wonderful range of 'food to go' which we enjoyed back at the cottage or on the beach. (Only one beach cafe at Coopers beach). We travelled from NY City on the LIRR, walked to the cottage (10 min) and used the bikes to get around. Did not miss a car. All in all a wonderful 5 days. Tony and Vicky, London UK

  • As a returning customer, the weekend stay was just as fantastic as it was for our first visit last month! The cottage was just as clean and comfortable. We appreciated the nice gift of Tates cookie treats left for us! We enjoyed riding the bikes to the beach and soaking in the sun during a pre-dinner nap on the chairs outside. Will be back next year!

  • My husband and I had a wonderful experience staying at Jen's place in Southampton. Although we never got the pleasure of meeting her, it's clear from her cottage that Jen is a very thoughtful and caring person. She has gone to great lengths to collect great recommendations, create a super helpful guide and provide literally anything you could need during your stay. The cottage was spotless and beautiful. Would love to stay again if ever in the area!

  • We had another wonderful stay at Jen & Bill's cottage. We walked from the train, into town and rode to the beach. Having beach chairs, a beach bag and bikes provided really made our weekend so easy as we were coming in from NYC. We hope to make it back for a weekend in the fall. Thanks, Jen and Bill!

  • Jen's private Southampton cottage is by far my favorite Airbnb yet! It is simply perfect. Ideally located for walking into town or biking to beaches - 2 bikes are provided. The space itself is spotless, beautifully designed and not a detail was missed to make my stay comfortable. I'm a Superhost myself, and Jen's cottage way over-exceeded my expectations. Would not only stay again, but would move in if I could. Thank you Jen!!!

    Christian2015-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Jen's place was great. It was within walking distance to shops n eateries. It was very clean and thoughtfully appointed for travelers.

    Pat2016-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jen's cottage is newly remodeled and so smartly done. Everything is comfortable and clean. She provided water and creamer in fridge with condiments for morning tea and coffee, which was nice. Would definitely recommend.

    Kathleen2016-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jen's cottage was perfect for a weekend in the Hamptons. It was so easy to walk to the cottage from the train, and was also centrally located right near Main Street, making it a perfect destination if you don't have a car. The house had everything we needed - a well stocked kitchen with all cooking utensils, bikes and beach gear, and a super helpful instruction booklet that had answers to any question we had. We were already planning a return trip next summer!

  • Brin's home was exactly as described, and a perfect getaway from the city. The entire property is fenced and gated, which allowed my girlfriend's dog to run around freely around the nearly one acre yard. While there aren't any blinds or drapes in any of the windows, there are enough trees and shrubbery to provide privacy from the surrounding houses. The house itself was clean, and all of the usual amenities, such as towels, clean linens, etc, were all available. Brin was also very responsive, as he replied within 10 minutes to an email from me. We were unable to use the outdoor pool since our visit was during the winter, but I'd love to visit again during the warmer months and with a few more friends. There are 4 bedrooms (one of which is a self contained guest house), so it's perfect for a summer trip.

  • Great location and lovely property, had a fabulous few days in the Hamptons.

    Philip2015-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home in a very tranquil village in the off-season. Highly recommended...you could not ask for a more picturesque home with charm galore. Brin was very responsive and helpful but there was not a singular issue...the home was immaculate.

    John2015-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Brin's home. The house is lovely and fully stocked with everything you could need. It's an easy walk into town, and a very comfortable home if you just want to stay in.

    Shawn2016-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • The host was very hospitable. There was a booklet with things to do in the area. The house was well maintained and we found everything we needed to cook, sleep etc very easily. I had to call Brin once because there was a delivery and he was very friendly. Definitely worth the money. Highly recommended.

    Juan2015-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • The property was very pretty, spacious and quiet. The pool area was nice, but water temp a little cool for a heated pool. One day was in the 80's, so it was ok that day. The "shabby sheik" style of furnishings was acceptable. Since we cooked in some, having some basic condiments there was nice. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The only problem was a leaking shower and toilet, which caused water to drip from the ceiling downstairs, so everyone in the house used the master suite bathroom. This needs to be fixed ASAP!

    Norma2015-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I traveled with our 2 year old, and the house was perfect with a huge yard, which had a trampoline and a pool. It was too cold for a swim, but my toddler had fun dipping her feet in the shallow stair part of the water. We made a day of it, and everyone had a lot of fun. Brin's instructions and recommendations - all written out, printed, and organized in a binder in the living room - were helpful. We loved that the kitchen had cast iron pans, which we used every morning to fry eggs. The house was clean and well maintained, but there were a few minor issues. The kitchen trash bin was broken, which actually felt more inconvenient than I initially thought, and the coffee filters there were the wrong ones for the coffee maker, which caused some mess. We ended up just buying our coffee at a cafe after couple uses. Also, two huge packages arrived at the door, which I thought would be picked up; I'd texted Brin about it. But they just lay there by the entrance the whole time we were there, getting in our way. Also, FYI, there is a cemetery right across the street, which I assume isn't as visible when the leaves come in during the summer on the bushes that surround the property. Personally, it bothered me a bit; I didn't realize when I was looking at the property on the site. All in all though, it was a great getaway for us in a quiet beach town.

    Jamie2015-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had no problem making ourselves at home in this lovely house. It had everything that we needed to enjoy ourselves. We were able to walk to the village of Sag Harbor. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious and the grounds are amazing! We look forward to spending a few days there again.

  • Belinda was great! She was there to greet us and to let us know she was in the area if we needed her. The "Casita" was adorable and soooo comfortable. We brought our mini Goldendoodle with us and she loved romping in the huge yard. We walked to town, to the beach, all over. The Memorial Day weekend weather was perfect! We have spent a lot of time in E Hampton over the years and this was one of the best, most relaxing times we've had. We're definitely going back! Thanks for the wonderful weekend! Maureen, Larry and Dixie

  • My wife, 18-month-old daughter and I stayed for five nights at the cottage and had a wonderful time. The walk to the Main Beach was an easy 15 minutes, which was great considering parking is $25. Walking to town was about 10 minutes. The cottage was bright and clean. And the table outside with an umbrella made for great dining al fresco. Didn't have any complaints. And Belinda was a great host, offering recommendations on restaurants and things to do.

    Matthew2014-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Belinda's cottage. It was secluded yet close to everything and contained everything we needed. Very comfortable.

  • Perfect location for a relaxed (!) stay after bustling and hectic NYC. Might have been the perfect time of the year as well...

  • We had such a wonderful stay at Belinda and Gavin's Cottage! The Cottage was very comfortable and in a lovely peaceful location while still close to restaurants & shops. Belinda and Gavin were wonderful hosts, Belinda in particular made special effort to make sure we had everything we needed. We also appreciated the little extra touches in the cottage (eg. lovely linen, nibbles there for when we arrived after a very long drive). We would definitely stay here again if we are ever lucky enough to be able to return to East Hampton again.

    Ros2013-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Belinda was such a gracious host. I had an absolute wonderful time at her "Casita". The cottage was exactly as pictured and cozy. Will definitely be back in the new year. PS. Ask Belinda where to eat! She knows the best restaurants in town.

    Moni2013-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was great! Perfectly cozy guest house with a fine location in East Hampton. We walked the whole weekend and it took no time at all to get into town. We called cabs when needed. The cottage is perfect for a weekend for two people, and Belinda is very responsive about anything you need.

    Rachel2015-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful and cozy little cottage. The cottage was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. Gavin and Belinda were great hosts and gave us lots of pointers on things to do. Even though we did not get the best weather, we still had an amazing time. Walking distance to the beach and a short drive to the town center. All in all, a wonderful getaway! Thank you Belinda and Gavin!

  • What can I say about this adorable cottage that hasn't been said before?! It's seriously the cutest and very comfortable for 3-4 people. We had the most amazing month here. We loved the proximity to town and to neighboring towns such as sag harbor. We loved the kitchen it was such a highlight!! Perfect for anyone that enjoys cooking!! We also LOVED the window box and fell asleep reading in it far too often it was great :) one mile from main beach which is amazing ranked one of the best beaches in North America also 7-10 min from Atlantic beach which is gorgeous as well. Just a lovely stay and Cindy is always available she is just great. Xo

  • We had a very nice time at Cindy's place. It is a very cute cottage but very sad spacious and has all the amenities that you could need. Very convenient location. Cindy is very nice and very responsive. Would recommend the experience to anyone wanting a break in the Hamptons.

  • We had a lovely stay at Cindy's charming house in East Hampton. The house was very well equipped (the large kitchen has everything you could possibly need) and was a cosy, comfortable and relaxing retreat during three days of unfortunately bad weather that we had! Cindy was a fantastically responsive host, thank you Cindy.

    Jemma2014-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Cindy's East Hampton cottage. It surpassed our expectations all round. We spent the majority of the weekend dining on the terrace and relaxing around the pool. The open kitchen / dining room is beautiful. I'm sure we'll be back! Cindy was a great host, with everything explained proactively and clearly. Thanks for everything Cindy!

    Martin2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Cindy's house is fantastic - homey, airy, with a large kitchen and a pool. We enjoyed our stay very much. It is in the heart of East Hampton and is only 30 minutes drive to everywhere else in the South fork of Hamptons. Perfect for a group of 5-6 people. The house is right off a main street but there is a nice little path leading to the house, so it is not noisy at all. There is parking for a maximum of 3 cars. The pool is surrounded by tall trees so it is very private. We never met Cindy but she is super responsive through emails. She gave us many good suggestions as to what to do during our stay - she suggested Wolffer vineyard and the wine there is awesome. Overall a 5-star stay! Thanks Cindy.

    Chris2016-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • House was even more charming than I expected. Cozy, comfortable, well provisioned. Cindy was great: responsive, caring, personable. In all, all you could want.

  • The apartment was cozy and inviting, and in a great location! Andy was out of town, but her husband Brad was a great host. He got us extra sheets and left his number in case we needed to reach him. The fireplace was a nice touch, especially since it was still snowing during our stay. Would definitely stay here again!

    Kristi2015-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at the cottage! It was located near a little shopping area with many great restaurants. The cottage was clean, cozy and secluded. The bedroom was very relaxing. We had the best sleep we've had in awhile. We'd definitely stay there again!

    Tessa2014-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • This sweet spot really was a romantic getaway! The space was clean, charming and located just a short way from Main Street. My boyfriend and I stayed here and it was perfect for a couple. We were looking for a quiet weekend in the winter to cook and sit in front of the fire - and that's exactly what we got. Andy, the host, was very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions we had.

    Taylor2015-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was exactly like in the pictures. It is very cosy and perfect for a couple. Moreover, it is very close to Sag Harbor (less than 15 minutes walk). We had an amazing time there and would definitely go back as well as recommend it.

    Louise2014-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Andy's place for 2 nights. The apartment was a separate unit that was very private and beautifully decorated. There was plenty of space, and great attention to details. The bedroom was upstairs, very large, nicely decorated (it had a very cool looking canoe type boat hanging from the ceiling) and comfortable. We also met Andy and her husband, who were both really pleasant. We enjoyed our stay.

    Donna2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • We visited Andy's home during a cold weekend in February and it was a very cozy stay. The fire place was perfect for the relaxing long weekend. Andy was very responsive to any questions we had and check-in / check-out was seamless. The home was just as it appeared in the pictures, was well stocked and very comfortable. The home was a short drive from all of the great shops and restaurants in town. Thanks to Andy for a great weekend get-away; we'll certainly be back.

  • I have stayed in several airbnb properties, and nothing compares to this! The property is charming and magical. Anton and Linley are gifted hosts. They were so kind and helpful after my long day of travel, inviting me to sit by the cozy fireplace and warm up. A delightful welcome. The place is convenient to the Hampton Jitney (bus from NYC) drop off point, and Linley even phoned the taxi connection for me, so that I could have a taxi meet me on the return leg of the bus trip. Listening to her navigate it, I realized I wouldn't have had a clue what to tell the taxi service about where the bus stops in NYC. Linley -- thank you for that alone. Also, I was able to walk everywhere from their house, and Anton and Linley's recommendations for things to do/ restaurants are on point. Anton also operates a boat charter service, Sag Harbor Charters, and given his gift as a host, I'd recommend that to anyone, too. Please don't hesitate to stay here during your visit to Sag Harbor! I am hoping for another visit and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else.

  • Had an amazing weekend at Captain Hagen's beautiful home on the water. Believe the hype, it's just as described if not better. Such a great place to wake up in. Nice fresh breeze comes straight into the house no matter where you are. Fresh flowers from the garden fill the house. Bicycles for (URL HIDDEN) relaxing. Anton is a very sociable, welcoming man who truly embodies the spirit of the airbnb community. Happened to be there on grill night, with the extended family, and it felt like I was with my own. (lucky me!) great stay, would do it again without hesitation.

  • Very homey and comfortable! Anton and his wife were extremely friendly and gave us great tips for the area as well as give us the perfect amount of space to do our own thing! Would highly recommend! Sag Harbor is beautiful, eclectic and quaint compared to the other Hampton towns!

  • Very nice, relaxing, and great place to stay for a perfect getaway.

  • Absolutely loved our stay in Sag Harbor with Anton and Linley. Their house is beautiful and was perfect for a weekend getaway. The house is only about a 5-7 minute walk from the center of town and is great if you are traveling from the city with no car. The location is just beautiful with a great porch sitting right on the harbor. Anton and Linley are such wonderful and welcoming hosts. We really enjoyed getting to know them and spending the weekend in their cozy home. They made breakfast for us every morning with the most delicious croissants along with yogurt, fruit, and coffee/tea. We also rented their double kayak and took it out on the harbor one of the days. We really just loved sitting on the back porch, reading and watching the birds-such a relaxing way to spend the weekend. Thanks again Anton and Linley for everything! We really hope to come back some day.

    Laurel2016-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Anton and Linley were wonderful hosts. They were kind, helpful, quick to offer advice on things to do and completely welcomed us into their home. The view from the deck never gets old and is a great spot to have a glass of wine before dinner. And breakfast each morning was a great added bonus! Would definitely stay with them again!

  • We had a fantastic stay! The hosts were very attentive and made us feel at home. The house is beautiful and the sunset views from the back porch are amazing! There are kayaks available for rental and the house is a short walk from the downtown area. Highly recommended.

  • What a find! Ours was a lovely, airy & spacious room with the most comfortable bed ever! We were at the Captain's house only a single night this time but I would no doubt stay at Anton's beautiful home again. The house is filled with lots of interesting things to look at probably originating from all corners of the world. But the deck and view of the water and waving reeds take the cake! I wish i would have had more time to spend! We met the captain for a brief minute only before he had to sail off but he was most charming and i would recommend staying at the captain's house to anyone!

  • We stayed in Anton's home with another couple (we each rented a room) over Memorial Day Weekend and had the most wonderful Air b&b experience! Anton's home is located on the bayside with breathtaking sunset views. We joined Anton and his wonderful family to enjoy these views with a bottle of wine on the deck each evening. Fresh towels were provided daily along with the most delicious breakfast of fresh fruit, tea, coffee, bagels, croissants and organic honey and jams. They truly outdid themselves on the breakfast each morning! The home is located a very short walking distance into the town of Sag Harbor, which we spent most evenings and mornings strolling the local boutiques and cafes. Parking was a non-issue in Anton's convenient side driveway. We will definitely be staying again at Anton's peaceful home throughout the summer!

  • Anton is the best host ever! He was very welcoming, has great conversation and wonderful friends. His home is beautiful, wonderfully located with a great view from his deck. Very accommodating and flexible with arrival/departure times, he also treated us with a lovely breakfast. The room was nice and comfortable with a beautiful view of the bay. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

    Deborah2013-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Sag Harbor is magnificent, Anton's house is an easy walk from the harbor in a street lined with historic houses. Our host helped us find some beautiful nature walks in the area. Our room was basic but in keeping with what we expected. Gill and Ditta.

  • I was going to a wedding at 4 and arrived at the house early. Captain Hagen graciously allowed me to get changed and drop off my bag. He was a great host and the room was very nice as was the house. The bed was fantastic, I haven't slept that good in a long time! The view outside on the deck was beautiful!! Sag Harbor is a wonderful little town, I wish I could've stayed longer!!

    Mike2014-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • I was traveling solo for business and social. I was quite familiar with the town. My hosts were warm, hospitable and helpful. Their home has a relaxed vibe and is kept clean. Breakfast was more than adequate. My room was quite spacious for one person although there was no closet. My hosts did provide hangers from coat racks on the back of doors. The air conditioning was excellent on a very hot summer weekend. The bed was quite comfortable. My room also had a mini fridge which was convenient for storing cold beverages and snacks. The back deck view is spectacular particularly that the weather was wonderful. The half bath outside my room could have used more hooks and shelves. I had to keep my toiletries in my room. There was a shower in a full bath upstairs which was used by all the guests. There was also an outdoor shower if anyone wanted to use it. There could have been other touches like a clock and tissues. Overall my two night stay met my needs.

  • Anton and Linley's place was perfect. Kayaking was fun and relaxing and they are just a short walk from town. I really enjoyed their company -- they were so kind and hospitable.

This cozy sub-level guest room is perfect for your Hamptons getaway. The space has a separate entrance with a keyless entry system for easy self check-in. Private bedroom & bath. Shared stairway & laundry room. My place is located a few blocks from Main Street, walking distance to the bay and is less than 3 miles to Ponquogue Beach.
Quiet, centrally located. Close to the bay & ocean. Walking distance to the LIRR/groceries/starbucks/drugstore/pizza, etc.

  • We loved staying at Jackie's place. It was easy to find, very clean, and Jackie was a great host. There were lots of towels in the bathroom and the room was decorated nicely. It is conveniently located near Ponquogue beach and just a 20 minute drive from Southampton. We would definitely stay here again.

  • Jackie's place is lovely, quiet and clean. It is in a sleepy neighborhood, set back from the road; but just a quick drive to any place you might want to go. The room is cozy, taken up mostly by a comfy bed; but there is plenty of space in the attached walk in closet to spread out your things as it is outfitted with lots of shelves and a mini-fridge. The bathroom was spotless and the shower has excellent water pressure. Tastefully decorated with bright, beachy watercolors. Would love to visit again!

  • This place was great. I had a wonderful night staying in the room, she makes it feel like a hotel with nice soap and towels. The shower is great, bed comfortable, we even had our very own mini fridge! They really thought of everything! The private entrance is a bonus so it makes you feel like your own home. The location is one of the best, 5 minute drive to the beach and restaurants. Thanks for this stay and will definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to visit the Hamptons :)

Check out our Instagram account for local businesses and attractions that we recommend: @GoNorthFork Cutchogue is known as the sunniest spot in New York state! The small hamlet nestled between Mattituck and Southold boasts a wonderful library, antique shops, 50's era diner, coffee shop, deli, salon, novelty shop, petting zoo, farm stands, fresh fish market, beaches, sailing and more - all within steps from our home. Albert Einstein once called Little Peconic Bay in Cutchogue "the most beautiful sailing ground I ever experienced." We couldn't agree more!
  • Alexis and Marco have the loveliest little cottage situated perfectly among the vineyards along the north fork. My boyfriend and I hopped on the Jitney and walked (easily) to the house. We walked to 2 vineyards, and borrowed Alexis's bikes to tour a few others, and then rode to a quiet little beach to watch the sunset. Remember to bring your bike helmet and beach shoes for pebbly beach. There's also a supermarket, farm stand and many restaurants all within walking distance. The accommodations were charming and perfect, and our hosts made themselves available to us if we needed anything. I really hope subsequent guests are neat and kind. We felt lucky to have stayed there.

    Susannah2017-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Alexis's bungalow is just as described which means comfortable, everything you need is there, great location in an adorable North Fork town. Alexis and Marco were kind and helpful when I needed recommendations. My only disappointment was I was planning on using a bike to get around but since I'm short, they were too tall and both had bars so it just didn't work. I'm sure for most people that would not have been an issue. But I found enough to do within walking distance, so not so bad. Thank you Alexis and Marco for being excellent hosts!

    Barbara2017-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Marco and Alexis were very attentive and responsive prior to our arrival. They sent us a guide of the local attractions in the area which proved very helpful. The location was great, with easy access to many wineries. Marco and Alexis offered use of 2 bikes, which we did not use, but it was a nice option to have. The accommodations were nice and comfortable, and we felt that everything was as advertised.

    Dennis2015-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent house, great location if you are looking to be close by the vineyards (Bedell is #1). My girlfriend and I made the trip out from Manhattan for the weekend - an excellent getaway. If you are going to pick a place to get dinner, go to the North Fork Inn twice. Caci was average. Alexis and Marco are excellent hosts, looking forward to returning again!

  • Great accommodation in an amazing location on the north fork. We brought our 1.5yr old dog and he loved playing in the yard. Cutchogue town and a beautiful beach are both easily walkable and it's a short drive to Love Lane in Mattituck, Greenport Brewery, and a great dog park, not to mention wineries. Easy drive to Greenport proper as well. Good jogging in the area. Would definitely stay there again.

  • We totally enjoyed our stay in Cutchogue! The apartment was exactly as described, Marco was always helpful and the village is perfect for a getaway. Lots of wineries within walking or a short driving distance, good restaurants and the beach closeby. We would stay here again and can only recommend Alexis' & Marco's apartment to anyone.

  • Shaun is a terrific host and the property is stunning!

    Marisa2017-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a family reunion/vacation and really enjoyed Shaun's lovely house, yard, and pool. The location was excellent as Mecox beach was right there with no one on it (locals still in school! No beach parking fees yet!) and the only volleyball net that we saw around. Highly recommend Chef Lance as well, who Shaun helped us hire for two incredible dinners. We were disappointed by some small issues, but nothing major, and overall Shaun was very helpful and flexible ...we would go back there again! Tips: if you have small kids, bring a sound machine to help them sleep as sound travels easily; movie projection system not for guest use; and ask for extension cords if you need them! Thanks Shaun!

  • Shaun's home was absolutely amazing. Exactly as pictured and described. Brand new furniture. Shaun was an incredible host- he rented us bikes free of charge, provided a bottle of champagne, and extra goodies throughout. Everything we could possibly need was there- grill materials, pool towels, shampoo/conditioner, etc. The house is not even a 5 minute bike ride to 3 separate beaches, and less than a 5 minute car ride into town. Shaun answered every question we had incredibly promptly. My family had a wonderful time and would without a doubt recommend Shaun's house.

  • We were a group of 6 friends staying at Guillaume's beautiful home in Greenport. This was easily the best Airbnb I have stayed in - everything was perfect from start to finish. Guillaume was very quick and helpful on comms. Check in was easy and the house itself has been renovated and finished to an exceptionally high standard. It was an easy walk into town (we didn't have a car) and the neighbourhood and the town of Greenport are both very pretty and charming. Guillaume recommended some great restaurants which was also helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone.

    Susan2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • The home is beautifully renovated and thoughtfully decorated with mid century furniture. It had everything we needed including a fully loaded kitchen. The home was much larger than it appeared in the pictures. We looked forward to coming back every evening and it was one of the highlights of our stay in Greenport. Guillaume was a great host easily reachable by text. He also left some local wine and fruit for us upon arrival. A great experience all around.

    Irene2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great stay with our family and kids. Gorgeous house, clean, plenty of space, nice backyard, few minutes away from all Greenport attractions. Guillaume was super with communications, everything was clear and I am looking forward to rent this house again! Kate

  • We took a chance on this house because it had no reviews and there was nothing left. It was one of the few available that didn't look like it was a victim of the '80s or '90s. G's house is absolutely perfect. Minimalistic but tastefully decorated, full of sun-filled rooms, brand new kitchen, an beautiful new bathrooms. The house is impeccably designed and full of gorgeous furniture and art. They were also nice enough to leave a bottle of wine and cookies. In short, the photos do not do it justice and we will definitely be back!

    paul 2017-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing! Newly renovated with a spacious kitchen and 3 full (super clean and new) bathrooms—plus, my favorite feature, a hammock in the back yard that was a wonderful place to relax in the evening. This was my first time in Greenport and I found the village so charming and sweet with great restaurants (we had our favorite meal at American Beech). We also loved taking our son on the carousel overlooking the water. We would definitely book Guillaume's house again and I can't wait to come back!

    Brooke2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Went up for a night and had a great stay. The house is very close to restaurants and shops in Greenport, a short and vey nice walk. Very nice recently redone interiors. Great shower doors. Beautiful back yard. I just regret not staying longer.

    Pedro2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Having never stayed at an Airbnb my first experience was a 10plus, and has convinced me this outweighs the use of hotels when headed for a getaway! The house I booked could not have been more perfect, tastefully appointed with mid century furniture and beautiful artwork, it was incredibly comfortable. The kitchen so well designed and pleasing to the eye, as were each of the three bathrooms. All impeccably clean! The master bedroom was simply and beautifully decorated...the house included a very sweet nursery and a third tastefully decorated bedroom upstairs. My favorite part of the house was a comfy chaise, perfect for reading and an afternoon nap. A very bright and sunny space which had all the earmarks of a designers touch. And just a short walk to my favorite destinations in Greenport!

    Elizabeth2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Guillaume has a lovely house! It's very clean and stylish. The house is close to everything so is a perfect home base to explore the North Fork. The neighbor's chickens were a little noisy early one morning when we had the windows open but aside from that it's a very quiet neighborhood.

  • I gave 5-star ratings across the board for Kent's studio because I couldn't select 6 or 7 stars. This was an incredible experience, top to bottom, down to every minute detail. Kent was helpful, hospitable, and went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. The space is absolutely perfect, quaint, spotless clean, and is tech friendly (as I was able to link my Spotify to the wifi and play music through the speakers.) This is truly a hidden gem, tucked away for the enjoyment and relaxation of whoever is lucky enough to stay.

    Nick2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot and even better hosts! Kent and Noelle were great and truly made us feel welcomed. The cottage is very comfortable and no detail is over looked. It has its own entrance which allows for privacy and beautifully appointed interior. You can enjoy your morning coffee overlooking the pool and I recommend taking advantage of the out door shower. Just 15 min to East Hampton, 10 min to Sag Harbor and down the street from the Wolfer Estate, make the location unbeatable! The only regret we have is that we didn't find this place sooner... but we can't wait till next time!

  • The hosts were incredibly welcoming, helpful and responsive. The studio looked exactly as pictured. The host's property is beautiful and peaceful. Separate from the house, the studio is well-designed with lots of natural light and overlooks the pool. It is tastefully appointed, comfortable and equipped with the essentials - wifi and a coffee maker! It is tucked away and yet conveniently near Sag Harbor. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

  • Kent welcomed us and checked in with us on a regular basis to make sure anything we needed was taken care of. The property was as described and we were very pleased with it. He was happy to accommodate our adult children who were staying near by. The location was perfect as it was locate near the beach, several restaurants and other points of interest.

  • Upon arriving at the studio apt. we were warmly greeted by Kent's wife Noelle who proceeded to offer all the revelent information about the property. The property is set within beautiful surrounding with woods and forestry. The photos and description were more than accurate and we enjoyed our time there for a long weekend. We took along our 14y/o dog who got to roam around the garden and walk through the back trails. Kent was very helpful on both the local surroundings and was always on hand for anything we required. The studio was very clean and tidy and had thought of all the small things needed to get by for a relaxing stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return. Thank you & Happy New Year Kent & Noelle!!

  • I have stayed at quite a few AirBNB properties, and dozens more hotels and I was incredibly impressed with this property and the owners. Kent is a wonderful host and the studio was among the cleanest, warm and inviting spaces I have ever stayed in. The decor is great, perfect size, stunning grounds, neighborhood and pool. Things are clearly marked, so you never have to wonder how to operate any of the cool amenities. It feels like home and I didn't want to leave! I will definitely be staying here again and highly recommend!

  • Our stay at the Studio was excellent. The location is private and convenient to town, beaches, etc. Kent and Noelle were great hosts. The studio itself as well as the backyard/pool were well maintained and clean. Overall, a great weekend and we hope to return.

  • This studio cottage is amazing! Stunning design inside and out, gorgeous outdoor space, immaculate pool and a beautiful garden. I have rented many places in this area over the past 12 years and this stay was by far the best! It felt like a 5 start resort (not kidding). Kent & Noelle are also amazing and so helpful. • I wish to stay here again this summer but it's all booked up! Totally understand why! Very clean, nice space, close to everything, and good host.

  • This was a great room for my solo getaway. Everything was clean and the towels smelt so good! There was a large fridge, microwave, and keriug coffee maker. Private entrance and additional parking in the driveway. Robert was very responsive before my trip and answered all my questions. I will definitely be back!

    Sara2017-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Robert was a great host. Clean apartment and great at communicating. Plus a great deal for the hamptons.

    Kevin2017-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first time using AirBnB, and it was a wonderful experience! Robert was fantastic, attentive, and accommodating, and the private unit, location, and value were second to none and exactly what I could have asked for. HIGHLY recommended.

    Mark2017-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • If you are traveling by car this is the best choice to explore Long Island. Relaxing place with birds singing (if the windows are open), outside table with chairs to enjoy the breakfast in the sun. The only con - a bit dampy - we were in summer and there was even no need in air conditioner. The center of the small town is 5mins away by car - there in everything you might need. My recommendation for breakfast sandwiches - Goldberg's.

    Dmitry2017-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Bob's house! We came for a wedding over the weekend and it was simple, accessible, and comfortable. Thank you!

    Autumn2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet, private accommodations perfect for business travel. While I did not meet Robert, he was very responsive to texts and made check in very easy. Would definitely recommend.

    Jennifer2017-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Robert is an excellent host and great person. The place was in a great location for us, as it was not too far to jump around the South Fork and within an hour back to the ferry in Orient Point.

New to the rental market beginning summer 2017, this charming cape has two bedrooms and two baths. Quintessential Hamptons style cottage perfect for a relaxing, tranquil summer getaway. Located within walking distance to beautiful Long Beach and five minutes from Sag Harbor village in the private Bay Point neighborhood. Light drenched beach cottage feel, lovely mature gardens, relaxing screened in porch, eat-in kitchen. Perfect place to get away from the hustle of The Hamptons.
Redecorated this June with all new furniture, window treatments, bedding, towels, TV's, etc. The kitchen and baths were renovated in classic cottage style. The kitchen is up to date with all stainless appliances, microwave and dishwasher. Dishes, silverware, small appliances are all included. The extra large master suite is upstairs with a king bed a writing desk and a sitting area. A second bedroom with a queen bed is downstairs. The screened in porch is where friends and family spend time reading, relaxing and enjoying the sound of the breeze blowing through the trees. The large Weber gas grill on the brick patio is new. Washer and dryer are in the basement.
The neighborhood is surrounded by water. Sag Harbor village on one side, Long Beach on the other. Quiet residential neighborhood with very little vehicle traffic making it ideal for families with young kids.
  • The home is in an ideal location for access to the beach (Noyac Bay) and the Village of Sag Harbor, as well as the frery to Shelter Island and the North Fork. It is very well appointed and set on a nicely landscaped property. The neighborhood is quiet and purely residential.

  • This is an immaculate, well-equipped, and beautiful home. Nice screened in porch. Short easy drive to lovely town of Sag Harbor.

  • We had a great stay! The house is recently redecorated and they did a really nice job. Communication with the host was always fast, and check-in was easy. Julie is incredibly nice and responsive. Location is great; Long Beach is a short walk away, and there's a kayak launch right down the road. It was a really nice, very relaxing stay. We loved it.

    Pete2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place! Close to a great beach (walking distance) and also close to Sag Harbor. The furnitures are beautiful and look like new, very comfortable beds. A big plus was the black out blinds, wifi, Apple TV and that there was toiletries and detergent provided. We are so very happy with our vacation in this house!!

    Joakim2017-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • The house was exactly as advertised....newly renovated, extremely comfortable, smooth check-in process with property manager Lisa who was AMAZING in providing local recommendations for food, wineries, activities, etc. We had a 3 month old with us, and the house could not have been better set up for having a new born with us. Noyack beach is a 2 min drive / 10 minute walk, with the house being situated in a quiet residential enclave about 5 minutes from downtown sag harbor. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

  • This house far surpassed my expectations! From the start, meeting Toni, she was so lovely and her home was so nice! This house couldn't be in a better location! The beach was right in the back and she had loads of beach and adirondack chairs. The deck overlooked the sound and the sunsets were amazing. The house was so clean with fresh towels and linens and kept so nice! It was very spacious, there were 10 of us and we had plenty of room. Unfortunately for me we were only able to stay 3 nights. I hope to be able to get the chance to use this beautiful place again!

    Sandy2017-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Toni's home is absolutely fabulous!!! It's right on he beach with a stunning view of the water and the coastline! It's super close to the town of Greenport which adorable. It's a fast drive to all the farms and orchards and vinyards for all kinds of fun fall activities We went with a big group which included children and there was room for all of us in the house. The yard was awesome for the kids to play while the adults sat on the deck and sipped our wine. All in all we had a wonderful time! Toni and her family were welcoming and always available to us. Toni always responded right away to any messages we sent her. Thanks again! See you next year

  • Although I didn't have a chance to meet Kate, she was warm and accessible via messaging. Her home is cozy and inviting, and made me feel like I'm staying at a friend's place. My room was on a separate floor, with a kitchen, living room, and two bathrooms. It felt like my own personal space, even though another guest was staying in another room. It is an easy walk to LIRR and town center, and a do-able 30 minute walk to the beach. Most importantly, this place was an excellent value at the time of my booking, at a price you wouldn't expect to see for this area. A great place to book if you're looking for an affordable homey place!

LI North Fork, wine country, private, 1 room 20' by 20' cozy, cottage, sunny, light, centrally located on NOFO. This space can accommodate 2 people and their pet comfortably. Easy drive, or bike to vineyards, farm stands, brewery, tiny towns. Off the beaten path North Fork, wine country, many amenities. Short walk to Peconic Bay for swimming and fishing (bring your rods). Near everything. Very private. The North Fork (NOFO) is a great place for all seasons. It is beautiful, filled with farm stands with organic fresh fruits and vegetables, great fresh fish and fabulous Peconic Bay scallops available at Braun's and Southold Fish Markets. The vineyards are always available and have lots of live music on weekends. You will have your own private 1 room cottage. Double bed, lots of closet space and washer/dryer. Kitchenette includes full refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, and 1 burner induction cooker. There are numerous beaches and a very beautiful sugar sand beach at end of road, about a 10 minute walk away. Tanger outlet stores are about 25 minutes away. Hosts are almost always available if you have questions, or problems. They are very familiar with the North Fork and are happy to make recommendations for eating out, visiting the vineyards, or visiting local farm stands, shopping, and local attractions. IMPORTANT - restaurants are crowded on weekends so make reservations before you come out. If you would like to rent bikes there is a place in Greenport that will deliver and pick them up. Also a bike rental on the way out in Mattituck. Guests are encouraged to let host know if a pet is coming along. The cottage is very near main house but totally separate from it. Guests will have cottage to themselves. Outside is a small patio with wicker furniture, umbrella, and Weber grill for guests. The neighborhood has other homes nearby but is very quiet. All have places to see, shop, eat, and more - antiques, cider shop, great farm stands, golf nearby, the observatory in Southold, the Lavender Farm in East Marion. It is BEST if you have a car for this cottage as it is off the beaten track. The Hampton Jitney stops about 1.3 miles away. Reservations for the Jitney are a must! LIRR stops in either Mattituck or Southold but there are not many trains everyday.
Peconic is centrally located on the North Fork (NOFO). East are the towns of Southold, Greenport, East Marion, and Orient. All have places to see, and eat, golf, and shop. Some special places are the observatory in Southold, the Lavender Farm in East Marion, and the ferry to Connecticut at Orient. Greenport has a Christmas fest. West of Peconic are Cutchogue, New Suffolk, Mattituck, Jamesport, Aquabogue, and Riverhead. Each has restaurants, shops, antiques, cider store, great farm stands and more. The Tanger Outlet stores are in Riverhead for shopping.
  • The cottage was clean, new, and the perfect size. It had a good, "vibe". The photos don't do it justice. Great location. Walking distance to three wineries and Farmers Markets. Koddy and Charlie were lovely accommodating hosts. FOODIES!! Although you are sharing your location with the Host's house - it feels separate and I never felt like privacy was an issue. The outdoor patio area was perfect for reading, wine and cheese. The little view of the water was a pleasant surprise. A wonderful, tranquil escape from the city with a fair price. Great North Fork location in the middle of everything, and still an easy drive to the Hamptons with surprisingly little traffic.

    Rebecca2015-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • We recently got back from our lovely stay at Kathleen's cottage and currently planning our next visit! It was absolultely wonderful. We were looking for something very quiet and relaxing with a beach within walking distance, and this was it. We also loved that it was so close to both Greenport and Mattituck. The cottage itself, is really very charming, very clean and comfortable. Enjoy!

    Ari2016-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • This summer cottage on the North Fork is a must stay! Clean, well kept, and a prime location! Koddy and Charles made us feel so welcome and were willing to help with any questions/suggestions we had. The private beach 1/2 mile down the road is lovely. Located about 1.5 miles from some great vineyards and the Greenport Brewing Company. Southold and Greenport are only a 10 minute drive away, and have so many great places to eat. Couldn't have asked for a better location, place to stay, and lovely hosts!!

    Ryan2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Nice small cottage in the woods. Koddy and her husband were great hosts who gave great suggestions. Good location within walking distance of private beach. Fenced in yard for our dog was convenient.

    jeff2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • The space was perfect for a weekend getaway for the city, although could have been comfortable even longer. The cottage had quiet and privacy, with a gorgeous beach a short walk (7-10 min) away. The cottage is as pictured, with nice touches like freshly ground (and delicious) coffee from the host. The location is quiet but central to all the good spots in in north fork.

    Melissa2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was very comfortable, had a nice decor, was very clean, cozy and had great sun light. It was the perfect spot to explore north fork. Amazing beach within walking distance and water views from the patio. Koddy was very kind, welcomed us despite our late arrival and let us stay longer than checkout time. She kindly left us a bottle of wine & some eggs for breakfast. We would love to stay there again!

    Sebastien2015-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful relaxing time at Koddy and Charlie's. They gave us great restaurant recommendations, let us use their bikes and were wonderfully tolerant of our quirky dog. Highly recommend to go unwind in NOFO!

    Gina2016-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Koddy and Charlie are great host. Very responsive and was there to greet us at check in to make us free at home. The cottage was just prefect! We enjoyed the daily short walks to the beach. The pups loved it! Thanks again, We hope to be back soon.

The house is a five minute walk to the ocean and is an ideal getaway providing all the amenities of home in a charming and relaxing atmosphere. We try to stock the fridge with basic foods bread, butter, eggs and more. Our pantry is often stocked with spices, coffee, tea, olive oil and more. You are welcome to use any of these items. There are plenty of clean sheets, towels and more. We provide a beautiful customized canvas tote for you to use during your stay and to take home.
Very very private, quiet, with a dock, very near the beach and ocean (5 minute walk).
  • Peter is a super friendly and considerate host~ We keep great communication throughout the whole stay. The house has incredible view of sunset. It just took us 3 minutes to the quiet beach by walking where we could enjoy a beautiful sunrise. The pond in front of the house is very beautiful as well. The exterior is pretty and the interior is warm and sweet. With sufficient privacy, it could be the best place for relaxing. This stay is really a wonderful memory for us.

The house itself is amazing- it's right on the bay, and steps from Mecox Beach. The grounds are very private and well-maintained. The house was clean, well-stocked, and spacious. Also, it's central location in Bridgehampton made it easy for us to visit the neighboring towns (makes a difference, since we had a 3 year-old with us!) All-in-all, an amazing experience

Overlooking two acres of lush field, with it's own private entrance, and private bath. Enjoy our Adirondack chairs, spacious deck, and outdoor shower in this recently renovated 1800s Farmhouse. Less than a mile away from SALT and Sunset Beach.
Redhouse is a piece of Shelter Island history. The original portion of our home reached it's current location by falling off the wagon it was being transported on sometime in the 1890s. The other half of the house made it to the proper destination down the road. Over the years additions were made to the house, and it would have several owners before being purchased by us, lifelong islanders, in 2013. Redhouse earned its nickname via the fresh coat of "gumball red" paint we added to her siding that makes her hard to miss.
  • This air bnb is a gem on Shelter Island. Mary and Jimbo are incredibly warm, offering a beautiful view from the room. The room and bathroom were spotless, and even included a keurig to make coffee in the morning. This was not our first stay, and will certainly not be our last. Both stays at Mary and Jimbo's were perfect, and we can't wait to visit shelter island next.

  • This was my first experience with AirBNB and couldn't have been more pleased. Jimbo and Mary reached out right away after booking to ensure a great stay. The home was very accommodating, and in a great location on the island. The room was spacious and clean and right next to a private bathroom, and in an area of the house that gives privacy if needed. Nice access to a great back yard with chairs to enjoy. Would highly recommend.

  • Beautiful house on a great island

    Brian2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely stay at Jimbo's place. The bed was super comfy and there's a door to the backyard in the bedroom. Waking up and having coffee on the back deck watching the deer was so nice! If you are spending a night on shelter island definitely check them out. They also let us borrow their bikes and that was really nice of them!! Will definitely return

    Angelica2017-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jimbo and Mary were wonderful hosts and it was a total delight to share their home (both the house and the island)! From when we first booked the room, they were so friendly and available to answer questions. They've made a binder with suggestions that was helpful. They are lifelong residents of Shelter Island and we loved getting tips from them. One night when we returned from dinner out, Jimbo had brought home some fresh clams for us! The room and bathroom were spotless, comfortable, and beautiful. We loved Mary's art on the walls and throughout the house! Such talent! A lot of love has gone into creating this Airbnb. The room we stayed in faces a huge yard and from the deck we did lots of nature watching ...a mother wild turkey and her chicks, deer and fawns and more. The nights sparkled with fireflies. There are two hammocks, too, so relaxing. Other great experiences: Maria's kitchen, a great Mexican restaurant Mary and Jimbo recommended that was only a mile away. Wades Beach was especially fun (thanks for the tip about the far end's tide pools where we saw lots of crabs). The Pharmacy in town has a countertop restaurant with the best hash browns ever. We came without a car and found many great places within a mile or two, and we used a taxi service with friendly drivers (Shelter Go'fers) when we wanted to go farther. We are so happy we got to stay at this very special place!!! Mary and Jimbo and the best hosts!

    Alice2017-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot to stay in for Shelter Island. Communications up to the stay were great. On arrival there was some great information for us about the island. Room was clean, bed was super comfy, with plenty of good amenities. Had a private entrance and enjoyed using the garden to relax. Shelter Island was a great place to visit and the location was really convenient to explore. Jimbo and Mary were great hosts.

  • Alexandra is delightful and welcoming! From the start, she was a rapid communicator, easy going and a pleasure to deal with. We booked a 2 night stay for my husband who was in the region to work and would need to come in late at night and have safe parking - Alex was great about this and he had a successful gig and a comfortable stay. The room is clean, the bed is super comfortable and the bathroom is private and clean as well, he felt very at home but also had plenty of privacy. Upon leaving, Alexandra had left a lovely basket of fruit and veggies which was so gracious and appreciated, we look forward to enjoying these, thank you for everything Alex!

  • Nelly and Paul's studio was very charming, clean, and had very nice amenities - coffee, cereal, fruit, yogurt. Very private and quiet, yet close to many wineries, restaurants, delis. We had no problems checking in, and everything went smoothly. I would definitely recommend!

  • Great host ... very nice couple. They were very attentive and are very thoughtful.

  • Charming space, 2 stories with everything I needed. Nice kitchen and bathroom especially. Loved that plenty of breakfast foods were provided like fresh fruit, cereal, and yogurt.

    Brandin2017-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Nelly and Paul's place! Nelly greeted us when we arrived and gave us a full tour of their charming studio apartment. There was plenty of space for two of us, and there were great amenities. The kitchen was full featured with everything you could possibly need! We were big fans of the keurig machine stocked with plenty of k-cups for us to start our mornings with. The bedroom even has a lovely balcony that we enjoyed our morning coffee on! The bedroom is upstairs from the kitchen and while it could get quite warm up there, the high powered ceiling fan did a great job of keeping us cool. One other thing to note, we were in town for a wedding and I was in need of an iron for my button up dress shirt which had been wrinkled in my luggage. Nelly immediately brought us an iron and ironing board! They were wonderful hosts and I highly recommend booking their space on your next trip to Long Island!

    Ted2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great! Spacious, comfortable, convenient, and Nelly and Paul were very easy to work and communicate with. The only downside is the bedroom / upstairs room was very warm (they do have a ceiling fan and a standing fan which helped significantly - they also mentioned central air conditioning being installed). Overall, a fantastic experience.

    Andrew2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent communications!

  • Ideal place for a couple with children or single person because of the sofa bed. Very clean, modern, and generously supplied with extras. Nelly and Paul are very helpful and are respectful of privacy.

  • I had a great and relaxing stay at Nancy's charming home! It was a perfect weekend getaway.

    Cait2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay. Nancy is a wonderful host. The place was immaculate and she offered many extras. I highly recommend this if you are traveling to the North Fork.

    Helen2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. Very welcoming, warm, private room. Nancy was very attentive and communicative throughout the day. House is very close to all of antique stores, and vineyards in Mattituck, so if that's your reason visiting the North Fork, it's a great place to stay. My wife and I stayed just 1 night for a friends wedding, but we would have loved to stay the whole weekend.

    Ulises2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy's place is easy to get to and well situated for all things North Fork related. Has a real bnb vibe. No complaints here.

    Russell2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed spending a peaceful evening in Nancy's pristine and lovingly decorated home. Our stay in this historic, well situated 1780's house added a 'right at home' feel to our wonderful weekend exploring the North and South forks of Eastern Long Island. Nancy was warm, welcoming and communicated with us throughout the day to accommodate our arrival time and to ensure we had a seamless check in. She was a perfect host. Be sure to make time before checking out to sit back and relax with a cup of coffee on Nancy's front porch to contemplate the coming day, there is so much to see and do in the area and Love Lane is just a stroll away - a wine and foodie's delight!

    Vera2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy goes out of her way to provide everything to make you feel comfortable and welcome. These rooms are so cozy and clean. While these rooms are technically part of her house (not uncommon in the area)---they are completely secluded from her living space and the porch is a lovely place to spend time between Mattituck adventures!

Separate entrance to private room with 1/2 bath, step outside to access outdoor shower, hot tub, grill if you want to cook and lovely backyard patio with pond. No breakfast available this time of year, but coffee and tea are in the kitchen. Make yourself at home!
Weekend getaway. Walk to beach, cat friendly dogs welcome, fenced in back yard with pond, private half-bath, shared outdoor shower, hot tub, patio, grill. This is a cozy house with great energy for creativity. Three books have been written on its premises;) many songs and when you aren't writing or hiking the dunes, you can relax in the hot tub and enjoy the night stars. We live outside in the summer - so you will see us by the pond in the evening enjoying a G&T or having a long relaxing meal under the stars. We are easy going and can either interact or be private. Quiet neighborhood, a mile to ocean beaches and protected shoreline - great bird watching!
Quiet neighborhood bike or walk to bay beaches.
  • It was an absolute pleasure to stay with Heather and Simon. Their house was very comfortable and clean. The backyard was a great place to unwind and hang out. Heather had a delicious healthy breakfast for us each morning. She also gave us a slew of great suggestions for places to eat, beaches, etc. Wayyy more than we were expecting. We would love to come back and stay again!

    Matt2014-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Heather and Simon are absolutely brilliant hosts (by any classic B&B standards) and two of the loveliest people you will ever meet. They easily strike the tricky balance between comfort and privacy; between making you feel completely taken care of and totally left alone. They're extremely thoughtful but never overly attentive. They go above and beyond in every appointment, such as serving fresh berries, biscuits and coffee (the way you like it -- they ask beforehand!) in the morning, and, if you're lucky, whitefish and bagels. (what!?) The back yard is a garden paradise slightly reminiscent of New Orleans with gorgeous flowers, a small fountain pool, a hammock, a gas grill and a hot tub. Such an enjoyable and relaxing place to start and end your beach day. They actually made us feel like we were staying with dear friends, even family, but only the good parts: the familiarity, the easygoing comfort -- and without all the clinginess you'd get from your actual friends and family. We can't wait to go back. Thanks Heather and Simon!

    David2014-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • This past first weekend of June was our second stay with Heather and Simon, and they made us feel even more welcome and comfortable right from the time of our arrival. They go above and beyond what we consider necessary in terms of providing guests with a nice play to stay. We are so very happy with our stays there we have booked to stay with them again in August and are very much looking forward to seeing them.

    Robert & Kathleen2015-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Heather was a wonderful host and added lots of personal touches like recommendations, beach towels and umbrellas and charming breakfast. I would definitely stay there again.

    Ruther2014-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Heather made me feel like home! She was so kind to pick me up from the train station, arranged elegant breakfast and tea and took me to all the cool spots! Will be back again!

  • We had the best time @ The House That Art Built! Heather + her cute Dalmatian were the perfect hosts (to us + our curious hound dog :) ) and her home is amazing. A must see/stay for anyone looking for a relaxing weekend getaway. We can't wait to go back in the fall.

    Emily2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Heather's house in Hampton Bays is a perfect place to spend a weekend away from the city. The house is beautiful and has a very interesting story behind. We had our private room with direct entrance through the backyard, and enjoyed a lot of privacy and alone-time during our stay. When we arrived Heather had a list of recommendations of places to eat (Rumba and Cowfish are especially recommended) and beaches nearby which was very helpful. The house is within minutes driving from the beach, stores and restaurants. The first day we went to the beach in the morning and chilled out in the backyard in the afternoon listening to the hypnotizing sound of the fountain and enjoying the hot tub. We woke up every morning with a delicious breakfast that Heather had prepared for us. Heather is a fantastic host and was very responsive during the whole weekend. We also enjoyed very much chatting with her one of the nights in her backyard. She has a beautiful dog and two cats; all very friendly. We will definitely stay at her place when we visit the area again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a weekend getaway in Long Island. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

    Direna2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Heather is a wonderful engaging host who also gives you space while sharing her home. The place is eclectic and a bit tight, but comfortable. We were well situated to get easily to amenties in Hampton Bays, and most importantly the ocean. If you're looking for a quiet relaxing stay you'll be very happy settling in here.

We are biased, but we basically like everything about this town. Quaint and unassuming, you can truly unwind in complete privacy in this beautiful waterfront village. No need for a car to come or get around here! Our house is a short 8 min walk to the Jitney and LIRR stops, walk also to all the great restaurants and bars in the village. • Absolutely perfect old house right in town. So much character and wonderfully comfortable. Great back yard for relaxing and BBQing. Wonderful hosts who are easy to communicate with. This was our first time in North Fork and we will definitely be back.

  • The house is really lovely and well cared for and as described. Carlos replied promptly to all messages. We really enjoyed staying in Greenport after 5 hectic days in New York. It was off season so very quiet and quite a few places were closed but we had really nice meals at First & South,1943 Pizza and Salamanders. We loved the 67 steps beach recommended by Carlos at the end of Sound Street. We also took the ferry over to Shelter Island and walked to another sandy beach. A few things that would have made things better for us would be a coffee maker and some better curtains on the windows so we didn't wake up so early!

    Jackie2015-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • The house is in the perfect location, we were able to walk into town, walk to dinner and drinks and took a quick 5 minute drive to the beach. The spacious living room, and large kitchen with an island make this house perfect for a get together, we hosted a bachelorette party for 7 and everyone was happy and comfortable.

    Donovan2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great experience at the Greenport Village Captains House. The house was in walking distance to downtown and it was very easy to get around. The house was clean, furnished well and very comfortable. The hosts were very accomodating and checked in with us to make sure our stay was going well. Overall we had a great trip with no issues.

    Missy2015-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • The house was beautiful and Carlos and Nicole were very attentive to any questions or needs that we had. It's just a short walk to the downtown area and there are many additional places within a short drive. My family and I had a great time.

    Darren2015-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful house - perfect for our weekend getaway. It's perfectly located in Greenport; within walking distance to the carousel, great restaurants and ice cream shops and tons of little antique stores. The house was big and fit our group well.

    Lacy2015-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful friends weekend at Carlos and Nicole's Greenport home! The home was clean, comfortable, and perfect for our group of 10. It is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, and it is walking distance to tons of restaurants and shops. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

    Andrew2017-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first Airbnb experience, and I have to say, I was very pleasantly surprised by how great it was. Carlos & Nicole were incredibly responsive, answering all of my questions within an hour or two tops. When we got to the house, it was exactly as pictured. The kitchen was super well stocked with everything we needed, and we barely had to go out for supplies. It was only a few blocks walking distance to the center of Greenport, so we had convenient access to everything in town. It was cold out, so we didn't spend much time in the backyard, but they do have a really nice setup including a fire pit and a BBQ. My only bit of negative feedback would be regarding the window covering situation. This house gets tons of natural light, but with either sheers or no shades at all on most of the windows, we were up at dawn every morning. Personally it would not stop me from giving a 5 star rating as it was a relatively minor detail for me when measured against everything else, but it is something to note.

  • My husband and I stayed at Kathleen's place and had a wonderful time. The house was super clean, particularly our room and restroom. The swimming pool is huge and the garden lovely. Kathleen gave us a lot of clean towel (including swimming pool towels) and was very attentive and wanted to make sure that we were comfortable all the time. The beach is an easy 10 min drive and it is probably the most private beach I have even visited in the Hamptons. Cute restaurants and amenities in the area. Highly recommended!

  • Warm and welcoming hosts. Clean and comfortable accommodations. Peaceful backyard and pool. Walk to Shinnecock Bay. Recommended!

  • Kathleen, Michael and George were wonderful hosts. The only thing better was Prince, a very friendly little critter! The place was cozy, comfortable and perfect for a vacation getaway. The house is beautiful, and the location is a 15-min walk from the water, and offers a glorious view of the North Atlantic.

    Eby2016-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Michael and Kathleens house was a new level of hospitality! The house is just as magnificent as it looks on the pictures and Kathleen was the greatest host ever. So carrying and helpful and super social. We recommend to rent a car to be able to drive around Hamptons but if you don't have one that's also fine since these lovely hosts offers to drive you to nearby locations like the bus station or the beach. We very lucky to meet some of the other guest and we ended up having a super nice time together. We had a lovely stay and would really recommend people to stay at Michael and Kathleens place!

    Julia2017-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • I booked this at the very last minute on an August weekend when most other hotels and Airbnb places in the heart of the Hamptons were full. The best part of the experience is that hosts are exceptionally kind, friendly and responsive. When I asked about beach parking, they offered to drop me at the beach if they were around. They accommodated me at the last minute, wrote back write away to my emails to answer several questions. They let me check in early and provided bottles of water throughout my stay. The place is very safe - I left my money in the rooms while I was out - and generally clean. The accommodations are as described, with shared bath and private room. The house has an open floor plan, so you will pass by and interact frequently with the host family when they are home. The room available is one of the kids' (away at college) rooms - decorated as such. It is small and basic but does the trick if you do not plan to spend much time in there. Although it is a shared bath, If another person was using the bath during my stay, I didn't notice. There is a pool which looks nice, but I didn't use it. There is Wifi, which seemed to work well on my phone but not on my iPad. This accommodation is located in the Quogue/Hampton Bays area. There is a town beach with free public parking about 20 minutes drive away and a small bay beach about 5 minutes drive away. These beaches are reasonably clean and convenient (once you figure out the town's navigation (use GPS!)), but don't compare to Southampton, East Hampton, which are a bit of a hike.

    James2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a real gem. Trace is an excellent and welcoming host. Everything was very well organized, and she even provided a continental breakfast, which was more than we were expecting. It's also a great location for exploring the North Fork; it's quiet and right off the main highway, so there was very easy access to restaurants, wineries, and farm stands. It was a perfect spot for us -- and our dog (the back yard is AMAZING).

  • We loved the quiet room and private bathroom, in a peaceful area but easy access to both the north and south forks. Little details showed the owner's thoughtfulness, from signs with directions and tips to maps and tour guides to DVDs to breakfast snacks waiting on the way out. The bed was very comfortable. We were very much tempted to call in to work and try staying longer!

  • The bedroom was SPACIOUS, part of a beautiful house located in a quiet lovely neighborhood. We were surprised with an array of snacks in the room and were greeted in the kitchen with a light breakfast the next morning. Trace was a gracious host and responded quickly to make sure we had a comfortable stay. I only wish I could have stayed longer!

  • The room is really nice: spacious and clean. We didn't meet Trace in person, but she left couple messages in the house and contacted us via message, making sure that everything was okay.

  • Nancy's home was so charming and perfectly located! She was wonderfully thoughtful and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. It was so easy to get from her home to downtown Mattituck and to the surrounding vineyards and beaches. Would love to visit again!

  • Nancy is a wonderful host. Her home is so welcoming and clean. A short stroll to the shops and cafes in Mattituck, you could not ask for more. I will stay again!

  • My wife and I loved staying at Nancy's historic home. 1780 house was a 5 min walk to the train and right around the corner from excellent restaurants and a cheese shop to die for!! The room was so tidy and Nacy even makes little welcome signs for each guest. The fridge was full of water and other beverages. There were snacks and fresh pasteries in the morning. My wife and I loved having a cup of coffee on the front porch. Lastly the people in the town were so friendly and welcoming. Michael at the cheese shop offered to take us to the surrounding wineries for free! We can't wait to come back!!

  • Nancy's place is a wonderful and cozy hidden gem. We didn't expect all the attention to detail. We enjoyed walking to a little cafe and having a wonderful lunch and it was minutes away from the wedding we were attending.

  • Lovely room with a comfortable bed - both my husband and I slept wonderfully. There was coffee, fruit and snacks available, which was a lovely surprise. It was my first time using air b&b, so I didn't think to mention our arrival time, but Nancy was very gracious about it. We would stay again if the opportunity came up.

  • Nancy's home is the prefect place for a weekend North Fork adventure. It's ideally situated for exploring everything the area has to offer. Her charming little home accommodated me and my partner perfectly. The room was very clean and comfortable and she was kind enough to leave a few breakfast items for us downstairs. We would absolutely book again in the future.
