  • Diane and Ed are terrific and the Casita is a real gem! While the pictures are accurate there is something very special about the place that you can only pick up on when you are there. There are so many wonderful touches in the place. Very unique, private, light, bright and with wonderful views. I particularly enjoyed the comfortable bed, rainshower shower-head, sunrise/sunset views on the mountains, roadrunners playing on the property and the lounge chairs on a private patio to take in the views. Diane left a basket filled with pamphlets, guides and information on things to do in the area along with a pair of binoculars. It is a go to place in Rio Rico!

  • Even better than advertised. Great views of the city, mountains and of the sunsets. It's comfortable, private, quiet and the host is super awesome! Very accommodating and I will definitely come again and recommend this location. Thanks Diane!

  • This was my first experience with Airbnb and Diane's place did not disappoint. The casita is perfect with a big window overlooking the valley. If we ever need to return to Rio Rico we'd definitely stay here again.

  • This casita sits on the top of a mountain with beautiful 360 degree view of the Rio Rico area. The casita was very welcoming and clean with all the amenities. • Clean, quiet, and cozy. The apartment is tucked away in a nice neighborhood. If you're a birder like me, there is a lot of local bird life in the yard and the location is close to several good parks. Great stay!

  • We enjoyed staying at Mary Helen's apartment. It is simple, but comfortably furnished. (The WiFi is faster than we get at home - 30+ MB/s.) The apartment is in the hills, on the edge of town. It's a unit in a brick, one-level duplex, near a similar duplex on the same property. There's a carport to keep your car shaded. We chose to sleep with the windows open, and enjoyed the sounds of coyotes howling in the distance. We would be delighted to stay again, on our next visit to the area.

  • Mary Helen and her husband are the best! They welcomed me in their home and connected me to some people in town. The place has everything you need, is spacious, clean and comfortable. Recommended!

I love our neighborhood for so many reasons starting with our proximity to Mexico and the multicultural community. We also offer many historical examples of architecture within our downtown neighborhood. The Mexican border crossing is just a short walk down the hill. We can advise on various dining and shopping adventures since we go there often. (yes, it's safe) . Always bring your passport. It IS another country. There are wonderful local, family owned, Mexican restaurants on the Arizona side... We'll be pleased to advise on the best of the best OR see our comments and ratings on TripAdvisor. Outside the City, we have two lakes with multiple walking trails for bird watching opportunities. We are within a 30 minutes drive to the tourist enclaves of Patagonia and Tubak.
  • Staying in Dos Marias was a true pleasure! Maybe it would be easier to just explain in list format: 1) Mary was super nice and welcomed us warmly. 2) Mary was very knowledgable about the area and showed us many cool places and delicious restaurants. 3) The home was very clean and tidy. 4) The home had everything we needed. 5) Mary was even nice enough to lend us her unused living room with satellite tv! 6) Best of all, the home is literally across the way from Mexico, making this the best possible location to just walk right to the border. We will definitely be coming back in some months! Thanks for everything Mary!

  • We love Mary's place. We used to stay here years back and she had moved it to just apartment living - so we are glad she is back up and running as nightly rentals! It is so close to the border to walk over and shop, eat and enjoy the day in Nogales. It is nice to have the quiet surroundings while sitting in the room with the windows open and breeze coming through. Thanks Mary!!

  • Great basic place with easy access to the main roads, downtown, and interstate. For someone from a big city, it also was nice to feel a bit more remote in a more rustic, simple apartment. It worked perfectly, and Mary Helen was excellent in giving directions and details about my stay.

  • Julia was a great host, accommodating and pleasant. The house is great, and the grounds are nice. The view from the house, being up on a hill is exquisite. It's an easy walk to the border crossing. It is very convenient for groceries, farmers market and other shopping. Julia's aunts were there in case of need. We were missing a coffee pot, and one of Julia's aunts delivered a new one the day we mentioned missing it. We would definitely stay there again!

    Martha2016-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for 3 months while working in Nogales and we loved it. It's a beautiful old house on top of a hill overlooking the city with a nice view of the sunset over Mexico. Before staying here, we were a little concerned about being so close to the border but with the alarm system and the abundance of border patrol in the area we never had any concerns once we were there. We would absolutely stay here again if we're ever back in Nogales.

The history of this Santa Cruz County gem near the Arizona/Mexico border town of Nogales is unique. While the old barn and rusty silo remind us of its rich ranching heritage, the Hacienda itself is elegant and quite refined. Its interior courtyard walls feature the priceless murals of the famous Mexican muralist and bullfighter Salvador Corona, painted in 1942 and 1955. Its sparkling 70's swimming pool is covered in beautiful blue mosaic tile. It's no wonder that John Wayne and other Hollywood l
Aunt Jackie married George Parker an Arizona pioneer and one of the world's great white hunters. This double occupancy room combines American Indian and African ethnicities and features some of George's trophies, a bamboo canopy queen bed with down comforter and pillows, a guest refrigerator and a bathroom featuring a unique bamboo safari camp shower with pebble floor. Its door opens onto a private patio, the Eastern rose gardens and glorious sunrises.
Outside of making the hop, skip and a jump to Tucson to the plethora of activities there, you can definitely keep yourself busy around town and the surrounding towns. We are minutes away from the Nogales border crossing where you can bide your time shopping, eating and taking in the culture and historical sites. If golf is your thing, you are a few miles from Kino Springs Golf Course and about 25 minutes away from Tubac Golf Resort. Tubac is also a bustling little art community with fun shops and yummy restaurants. The Tumacacori Mission is always a fun place to visit to learn about local history from Tucson to Nogales. My place is close to A 15 minute drive to Tubac, Az, 15 minute drive to the US/Mexican border. 50 minute drive to Tucson Internation Airport. . You’ll love my place because of Surrounded by nature, bordering a national forest. Property is on a 70 acre ranch. Come enjoy the peaceful relaxation while able to stargaze in the warm evenings of the Sonoran Desert. Experience quiet and beautiful sunsets. Get in touch with nature and observe the animals the ranch has to offer.
  • There is a cat in the laundry room next to the kitchen (turns out im allergic) but all the animals there are friendly, i promise the picture dont show how beautiful this place really is at first i was scared because its secluded but to be honest its very safe! Clean! And has dishes, pans, etc makes you feel at home

  • Irene and her husband's, Rancho La Reforma in Rio Rico, is truly peaceful, gorgeous and close to Tucson, where John and I live. Irene, our hostess, met us as planned on a Saturday evening at the "barn/yoga studio/massage room" and showed us the lovely suite she had given us. The kitchen was stocked with fresh farm eggs, from this working farm. She later on recommended a restaurant, La Bocanita, which we would have never been able to find were it not for her directions. Seafood was delicious! She gave me the most restorative massage the following morning and we had brunch at our fully equipped kitchen. She even ran up the hill to provide the back of an earring which I had lost the night before. Checkout time was not a problem and we even had a nap after we left. I would recommend this lovely Arizona retreat for anyone looking to restore your peace and calm. And Irene and her husband are beautiful hosts.

    Annemarie2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this little ranch! And would absolutely recommend to anyone needing a place to stay in southern Arizona. The little room and house exceeded our expectations and made our weekend trip so enjoyable. The very relaxed hospitality was perfect for our needs. We also really loved all the animals, the cats kept us cozy at night and the doggies outside were fun and silly to wake up to.

    Alix2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Irene's place is nothing short of awesome. It's an entire house with western decor, a huge bedroom and an even larger, almost hall-like living room, plus a modern, fully equipped kitchen. The house is located on the lower level of a working ranch, not far from the horses and chickens. Total privacy and serenity, plus two cute kittens that frequent the house. So, as long as you are into this sort of thing, you can't do better, especially at this price point. The next time we are in the area, we'll definitely stay there again.

    Robert2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Our hosts were very friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious. The shared kitchen and patio were pleasant. We enjoyed the quiet, peaceful location.

    Mickey2017-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • The house is just what we were looking for, a house in the country where we could cook our own meals, spend a relaxing evening and be surrounded by nature and ranch animals. Irene and Alonzo are very warm and gracious hosts and made us feel very welcomed. The kitchen was spacious and fully equipped with pots, pans, spices and fresh eggs which adds a nice touch. It looks out over a beautiful view of the surrounding hills. The bedroom is large with its own thermostat and heater. Bed was firm and very comfortable for sleeping. The house is less than a 10 minute drive into town to the grocery store and I-19, Tucson is 1 hour away and Nogales and the Mexican border 20 minutes. Very easy to get to the surrounding natural areas and birding hotspots south of Tucson. I would stay here again in an instant.

Our home is open, light, and very quaint; "The Cottage Hacienda." It is surrounded by a 15" rock wall---right out of a Thomas Kinkade painting! The 360 degree view is delectable! Enjoy a cup of coffee right outside the patio in the charming, sunny, bird sanctuary. This is a quiet, relaxing, private get-away waiting just for you! We are very "Zen!"
The area is very quiet. The views during the day span across the mountains. In the evening hours, millions of stars light up the pitch, black darkness!
Within a couple of miles there are many things to experience; The Esplendor Resort and Golf Club, IGA Supermarket, Chevron Gas Station, US Post Office, many lovely restaurants. There is a wonderful, little "Farmers Market" every Saturday from 9-2. Tubac, AZ is 11 miles north where you can shop in delectable stores. We now have a walking/running path beside the main road.
  • Julie was very helpful to us. We even were allowed to enjoy our breakfast in her house, hours after she had to go to her work. The bed is good, the terrace views are nice.

  • Cottage Hacienda describes Julie's home perfectly. Good conversation, a good bed, and spectacular views from the patio - what more can you ask for? Julie showed us around town and recommended a very good restaurant. Our bedroom was large with a private bath. Everything was clean and tidy. TV & WiFi was available. My husband & I felt right at home.

  • Had a great evening staying with Julie. Her home was extremely comfortable, and I was made quite welcome and given the run of the place! Really enjoyed visiting with Julie... we had a lot to share... and watching the birds in her backyard was delightful. Thanks Julie!

    dale2015-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Julie, was a wonderful hostess. The birds here are beautiful and abundant, and the view from her place lovely. We had a large spacious room, plenty of space to do yoga and my son to play. She was warm, kind and generous and accommodated our needs where she could, allowing us use of her kitchen. She took us with her to one of her appointments in Nogales, pointing out places to go and taking us to the most amazing food places! She had a lot of great advice for things to do and places to eat while in the area, definitely you must tap her knowledge! Stella her puppy was very cute! Thank you Julie for providing your space!

    Rita2016-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • Julie was such a delightful hostess. My daughter and I enjoyed staying with her. The room was exactly as advertised, including the peaceful ambiance. What a wonderful way to unwind before we began our whirlwind travel plans! Thanks, Julie, for the timely advice on Mexican car insurance requirements! I’m sure you saved me from a bunch of fines! And, because we walked across the border, we found a delightful local restaurant through a recommendation from the owner of a burger stand (Cocina Economica?). Highly recommend both Julie and the local scenery!

    Estelle2015-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • Julie and Stella were there waiting for us to arrive. Julie welcomed us and showed us our room - wonderful! Spacious, comfortable and clean, with a really comfortable bed. She then had lots of ideas for all the things we were hoping to do and for local restaurants. Breakfasts on the patio were great fun as she took the time to chat with us about everything. We loved the roadrunner and the quail who often visit her! And Stella made up for us not having our dog with us - cuddly and very friendly (after the initial bark, of course). We had a superb time in Rio Rico and that had a lot to do with Julie.

The room has been completely redone and features a Dutch door  that opens on to a semi-private patio with amazing mountain views.

  • Oak Bar Ranch is one of the most beautiful places you'll ever stay in. Truly unique and gorgeous. Birders will love it. I got a life bird (Rufous-winged Sparrow) while drinking wine on the terrace and drinking in the spectacular scenery. Geoffrey and Jessica are very fine hosts.

Harrier House is perched on 9 fenced acres with expansive vistas extending miles over rolling desert and grassland hills to distant ranges. This classic, fully furnished 3 bedroom/2 bath ranch home sleeps 8: two Queen beds, a trundle twin that makes into a King, and a queen sofa bed in the Arizona/sun room. Additionally there is a PaknPlay with bedding, for babies. It features a large covered deck from which to enjoy the views, sunsets, birds visiting feeders (including resident road runners, gila woodpeckers, thrashers, and hummingbirds), and dining out of doors. The deck has plenty of seating, a barbecue and ample dining table. Mexican saltillo, Talavera tiles, arched windows, large deck and patios add to the southwest ambiance. The home is designed both for gathering and dispersing, so that group members can easily find quiet nooks or places to converge. Easy outdoor living beckons. Large fenced yard makes Harrier House pet friendly. The spacious kitchen is well-equipped, along with formal dining room and dining service for 12, as well as a well-stocked pantry with condiments, baking supplies, herbs and spices, coffee and tea. There is a big gas barbecue grill and picnic table on the large view-oriented deck. The family room, sunken living room, Arizona room and formal dining room provide generous spreading-out space for a group. Ample amenities include wi-fi and satellite TV, games, DVD's, and bird books. Harrier House combines proximity to Patagonia with the serenity and spaciousness of rural living. You will be just five minutes from Patagonia Lake State Park, one of the world’s premier birding destinations, where the resident Elegant Trogan is regularly added to many birders life lists, along with many unusual southern resident or migrating species. You can swim, fish and boat in Lake Patagonia. Harrier House provides a three-person canoe and two bicycles for your outdoor pleasure. Or you can rent canoes or paddle boats, or take guided tours on Lake Patagonia. The Nature Conservancy’s Patagonia-Sonoita Creek Preserve, quoted by the Audubon Society as one of the best birding locations in the entire country, is minutes away, along with Tucson Audubon's Paton Center for Hummingbirds. Spectacular Ramsey and Madera Canyon are within easy drives. You will find our collection of nature and birding books very handy! The biological diversity of the area is highest in the USA, with its sky islands, washes, desert flats and grasslands calling to naturalists, hunters, hikers, bikers and boaters. Patagonia is a Gateway community for the Arizona Trail. Culture is nearby. The small enchanting town of Patagonia is 7 miles north (great espresso, eateries, art galleries). Nogales with it’s mainstream shopping is 10 miles south. Slightly north are Sonoita and Elgin’s wonderful wineries welcoming tasters (Arizona wine is outstanding) and stables (30 minutes). Tucson is just an hour away), and nearby are Tubac,Tombstone, Bisbee and Karchner Caverns. The whole is far greater than the sum of the details, whether considering Harrier House or Southeastern Arizona. Excitement and relaxation alike await the visitor to this dynamic landscape, as each season brings it's unique charms and fascinations. Book soon for the spring, monsoon (summer) and fall seasons.
Harrier House is a quiet retreat with expansive views across the rolling desert grasslands, inviting birds and other wildlife to venture near. Mountains rise in the distance. Neighbors are remote, yet Harrier House is on a paved road minutes from Nogales and charming Patagonia, and only an hour from Tucson. This region is birders' mecca, horse country, wine country, star-gazers delight, opportunities for bicycles, or a climber's exercise to the top of Mt. Wrightson or easier, Red Mountain. The destinations of Tombstone, Karchner Caverns, Bisbee, Tubac and several golf courses are within drives. Tucson's offerings are too numerous to list here, but a visit to the Desert Museum is well worth the drive! San Rafael Valley and Harshaw are a nearby, spectacular scenic drive. Noteworthy: the Mountain Empire is a flatlander's respite in the hotter months averagine 10 to 20 degrees cooler than Tucson and Phoenix. The Sky Islands are wild yet accessible.
  • We enjoyed the location of the house, including the nearby lake (many birds), the proximity to wine country, and the big views off the back deck. Very peaceful and quiet! The house was spacious, comfortable and offered all the amenities you would expect.

  • We stayed at the Harrier House in late August when everything was lush from the monsoon rains. The area, and especially the view from the back porch, was gorgeous. We arrived to find a happy birthday note (my husband's birthday) and bottle of wine. The house was as advertised and very nice. Kitchen very well equipped. Huge back porch with lots of seating. Would be a great place for a group of four or six.

    Deborah2014-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our host, Gail, was terrific. Though far away in Alaska, she was in frequent contact before our arrival giving helpful directions and local hints. Everything was even better than expected - and I had high expectations. The house is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is set up perfectly with everything we wanted, and more. Having breakfast on the back deck was lovely. Beautiful views, and very peaceful and wonderfully quiet. Evenings on the same deck were fabulous. So dark, the stars seemed within our grasp. Felt very far away from anyone or anything, yet only a few minutes from Patagonia Lake and 7 miles from quaint and friendly Patagonia town. Guy, my Australian Shepard, loved every moment at the house. We were very grateful that Gail gave us permission to bring him along. (He was especially fascinated by the lizards and road runners.) Can't wait to go again.

  • Perfect place with amazing views, beautiful wild cows that come by and eat the grass outside the yard. Lake Patagonia is such a treat for us who live in the desert I highly recommend staying here if you can!

  • We had another wonderful stay at Harrier House, only disappointment was having to leave! Thanks for having your canoe available, we had a fantastic afternoon on the lake, and exploring Sonoita Creek. We’re already planning our next visit!

  • Five of us birders stayed at the Harrior House for 3 nights and we were delighted with the whole experience. The house is beautiful and the views spectacular. The kitchen was very well equipped. All information was provided in a timely and gracious manner. It is a perfect location for birding at many of the best sites. Thank you Gail!

  • Gail & Craig, Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us! We fell in love with your home, and the area. We loved having the canoe and bikes available for our use. We explored Lake Patagonia in the canoe, and completed the Harshaw Creek Loop on the bikes, all very beautiful and much fun. We saw toads, tarantulas, road runners, deer, red cardinals, squirrels, toadstools, lots of fish and lovely cows. We so appreciated being able to bring our little dog, he learnt to swim for the first time in Lake Patagonia, and our son caught his first fish. We'd love to return, and look forward to being in touch. Once again, thank you! Carly, Sage, Damian & Dodge (Tucson)

  • David and Kristi have a beautiful home with lots of attention to detail. We loved the colorful Southwest decor. David and Kristi were very warm and friendly. The happy hour conversation was loads of fun. And Kristi's breakfast is truly fabulous. The home-made cinnamon rolls were out of this world. The home sits in a quiet little neighborhood that feels very secluded, but it is a short drive to Tubac shopping and dining.

    Ellen2017-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Casa de Paz is just as it's described: peaceful, lovely views, immaculately clean, very comfortable, and David and Kristie (with the earnest canine help of Cody and Glory) are wonderfully hospitable, kind, and gracious hosts. The breakfasts are divine -- put your diet aside and just enjoy the homemade cinnamon rolls and other goodies!

    Wynne2017-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • A+ We give Casa de Paz the best possible rating. The hosts are Kristi and Dave, their hospitality is genuine and generous. We heartily agree with prior guest posts about every detail. The comfortable, new house reflects a lifetime of western living, from Yuma AZ to Montana. The place is a gallery of the art of the cowboy, much of the fine leatherwork made by Dave. We arrived road weary, we left relaxed and refreshed. This is entirely doe to our wonderful 3 day stay in Rio Rico.

    Laura2017-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a night at the Casa de Paz on our way to Tucson. It was a great place to rest and rejuvenate. David and Kristi's home is on a hill that overlooks a beautiful range of hills and valleys. The cowboy room was very comfortable and spacious- black out curtains and a king size bed, we could have slept all day. We woke up in the morning to a delicious hot country breakfast and spent a relaxing hour in the hot tub the night before. David and Kristi were great hosts and we would definitely stay with them again, close to Nogales and Tubac.

    Claire2017-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • David and Kristi were great hosts. We arrived road weary. Once settled in, we were offered the opportunity to enjoy Happy Hour out on their beautiful outdoor deck. Later on we relaxed in the hot tub gazing up at the stars. The surrounding area is very peaceful and we slept well in the comfy king-sized bed. Kristi prepared us an excellent breakfast. David took the time to show us his leather working skills and Kristi's dazzling graphic art posters. We would certainly recommend them to other guests.

The "Border View" home adjoins our 106 year old home located in the Nogales historical district within walking distance to the Mexican border and downtown Nogales AZ.
"The BorderView" is an 850 square-foot home with spacious living room, dining room, full sized kitchen and private bedroom and bathroom. Furniture & Art Work is predominantly all Balinese/Javanese hardwood collected from our years of working in Bali and throughout Asia. But wait! There is more, the kitchen/dining area is surrounded by photos of famous Cowboy stars & personalities. This IS the southwest after all.
  • This is really a great place. It's in an early 20th Century neighborhood at the top of a hill, with a view of the whole lively and tangled world of the border. The place is very spacious and Mary is a great hostess. The place was very comfortable and fit all of our needs. Mary's advice on places to go in Nogales (AZ and Mexico) is spot on and very helpful. We dined on the U.S. side, and then had breakfast on the Mex. side, before continuing our trip to Sonora.

    Mark2016-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is my second trip to Mary's wonderful "Border View" house. As advertised, the bedroom has a fantastic view over Nogales, Sonora--breathtaking at night and endlessly interesting during the day. It's somehow comforting to hear lively sounds drifting up from across the border. Communication with the host could not be better, she is extremely flexible, responds immediately to messages, and can give great recommendations for visiting town on both sides of the border. A great scenic walk up the hill is just outside the door. Great accommodations, a real respite right on the border, highly recommended.

    Paco2016-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Mary's house was perfect for our trip. We wanted to hike around Patagonia during the day and stroll over to Mexico for a few meals. The home is spacious and beautifully decorated. She has lots of great books and resources about the area. The neighborhood is quiet and comfortable and Mexico is just a 10 minute walk away. Mary was easy to contact and quick to reply. We would definitely stay here again.

    Fernando2017-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Peaceful yet honest and direct. I had a late and last minute reservation and yet still a few beers and sparkling waters were in the fridge for me. The location was great, the border view was spectacular, the location solid and the house was cozy.

    Buck2016-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This charming little house is in the perfect location for Nogales and regional (Patagonia, S AZ wineries) sight seeing and has a lovely view of Mexico. This part of town is a little noisy (as someone else noted) but, as a city-dweller, it didn't bother me. Park your car at the house and easily walk across the Border. The house is quaint, comfortable, spacious and full of history, as are the homes around it on Crawford Street. Mary is very attentive and helpful. There isn't a TV but you don't need one with all the books she provides. Also, be forewarned that the AZ side of the border doesn't offer much in the way of nightlife but the Mexican food is excellent, almost everywhere you go.

    Keely2017-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • The area we rented was a wonderful spacious four room house overlooking the town of Nogales, Mexico. Great views and his very accommodating with local info. A very nice place for a great price! Hostess Mary and her lovely Mother were super hosts and we sincerely did not want to leave. This house is on the Register of Historical Places which was an added benefit. This place is awesome!

The history of this Santa Cruz County gem is unique. While the old barn and rusty silo remind us of its ranching heritage, the Hacienda itself is elegant and quite refined. Its interior courtyard walls feature priceless murals of famous Mexican muralist and bullfighter Salvador Corona, painted in 1942 and 1955. It's no wonder that John Wayne and other Hollywood luminaries were attracted to this cool, high desert location where they could hide from the world, rest, relax and have a little fun.
La Patrona was the mistress of the household, a world traveler and collector. This spacious Jr. Suite with its king bed, down comforter and pillows, historic stone fireplace, guest refrigerator, limestone shower, Jacuzzi tub, azure glass water basins and rare shell collection reflects luxury seldom afforded a typical ranch wife. French doors open onto the West facing lavender garden and a beautiful view of the breathtaking Arizona sunsets.
We do have a lot of Birders that stay with us. So, break out your binoculars! The list goes on and on. Just ask us and we'll be happy to guide you to whatever meets your fancy.
  • You are in for a treat when you stay here. The hacienda is stunning. The rooms are beautifully put together and you will be fascinated looking at their memorabilia and listening to their history. There are also many lovely areas to explore in the grounds. The meals were delicious and we were treated like family. You can't go wrong coming here. We will definitely return!

  • Mary was a wonderful host, and the beautiful accommodations exceeded our expectations. She is extremely knowledgable about the area, and provided us with suggestions for places to visit across the border in Mexico. Mary was also extremely generous in upgrading our room and offering us umbrellas to make a rare rainy-day jaunt into Nogales, Sonora. A peaceful, calming stay.

  • If you want a place really close to the Mexican border, you can't beat it. Mary is very nice. We talked outside for 20 minutes, and she was very helpful with things near her place. The place is a converted garage, with it's own separate entrance. It had all a person needs, shower, small kitchen, etc. No TV was available when I was there, but the WiFi worked excellent.

    Donald2016-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • Mary was very communicative and the studio was clean and rustic. Our only issue was there was no heat and the space heater didn't warm up the cold winter night at all, so we froze. I'm sure Mary will fix that for future winter stays. Otherwise, it's central to everything Nogales has to offer.

    suree2016-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • Hard to adequately describe my experience in writing but this was an amazing place and hosts. I stayed here for 6 months and Mary and her husband Dick could not have been nicer or easier to deal with. The rooms are beautifully furnished and it takes about 5 minutes to walk from the front door to your favorite taco place in Mexico. I plan on coming back for visits to southern Arizona and I will definitely be staying here!
