Aquarium
“The Oregon Coast Aquarium is a world class aquarium with a focus on the flora and fauna native to the Oregon Coast. Be sure to walk thru the acrylic tube in the "Passages of the Deep" exhibit. The playful sea otters are my favorite exhibit.”

Nature
“A great place for instagramable pictures. There is also a lot of information in the visitor's center, tidepools, and hiking trails. The only known Peregrine Falcon nesting spot adjacent to a parking lot is also here! Also a good gift shop and selection of local books. Be sure to reserve lighthouse tours in advance. If you have a national parks card, the visit is free for everyone in your car.”

“While it's nice to have local markets in Waldport and Yachats, the prices are quite high for essentials. So if you are staying for a few days and need to stock up, it's worth it to go to Freddies, Safeway, Grocery Outlet and Walmart in Newport.”

Lighthouse
“Beautiful place to visit. Oregon's tallest lighthouse. This area extends one mile out into the pacific ocean on a basalt headland. Gorgeous scenery, Incredible views, visitor center, tide pools, nesting seabirds, peregrine falcons. And "cobble beach" is here and made up of millions of round basalt rocks that produce an applause like sound when the waves roll in. Ranger's on hand most times to answer questions. ”
