The place is very close to the bay and hwy 101. It was easy to find. Steve was very communicative prior to our arrival and wanted to make sure we were able to find the place.
Joel2017-02-20T00:00:00ZSteve is a terrific host! His home is very clean and quiet! Sunny and bright during our visit! The breakfast goodies were an added bonus! Great stop in Newport!
Steven & Karen2016-07-20T00:00:00ZThis was our first experience with Airbnb, and it was very positive. Steve is a wonderful host, going out of his way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. He was always available to answer all of our questions, giving us restaurant recommendations, etc., and other information about the area. It was a wonderful weekend, and far exceeded our expectations!
Jan2017-03-25T00:00:00ZOur stay at Steve's was really wonderful. Steve is a warm, generous and interesting host with excellent recommendations for the local area and Oregon state. We would love to stay again!!
Courtney2017-02-10T00:00:00ZThis was a great place! The host was very kind and great to talk to! He know a lot about the area around him and good places to go. We enjoyed our time very much! Nice town, comfortable home!
Makenzie2016-08-10T00:00:00ZSteve was a great host! We had been hiking earlier in the day and he was very accommodating with our changing arrival time. Communication was always prompt and clear. The room was as expected- bed was comfy, lots of outlets to charge devices which was appreciated. We slept with the window opened and enjoyed hearing the sea lions, but we could have closed it and not heard anything. House was clean and Steve was nice enough to offer up suggestions of food and sights to take in. Walking distance to the bay front, but we drove and found plenty of parking. All in all a great experience!
Sara2016-09-06T00:00:00ZI enjoyed my short stay at the Dreamy Day stay- Bay Room. The room is clean, quiet and has nice view of the Newport Bay Bridge. Very comfortable bed, too. Steve is a great host. He knows the area well and is fun to chat with. It is conveniently located to walk to the beach or bay front from. I will stay here again when I visit Newport. Thanks, Steve!
Grant2016-08-06T00:00:00ZWe had a great short overnight stay with Steve. After his yummy dinner recommendation we slept like babies. We also enjoyed the relaxed breakfast with him and another guest the next morning. We definitely recommend Steve as a host!

This place was an amazing quick stop for our weekend trip to the beach. Super comfortable and clean. We arrived late and Eric was extremely accommodating to our arrival time. I would definitely stay again!
Brittany2017-01-02T00:00:00ZVery comfy & peaceful. Would definitely stay here again!
anita2017-03-21T00:00:00ZSecond time staying here! Clean and tidy, easy access to everything and such a comfy bed!
Shelly2017-02-28T00:00:00ZEric was great at keeping in touch and giving us great information even before our arrival. The place was very clean and comfy. Great parking and location in Newport...easy to find and easy to access the fun things to do. AND love that they let us bring our dog. Couldn't have been nicer and would definitely stay again!
Chris 2016-09-09T00:00:00ZEric was a pleasant host. His home is very quiet, clean and private. The aquarium is a must to visit.
Karen 2016-11-11T00:00:00ZGreat place to stay while in Newport.
aaron2017-02-17T00:00:00ZEric is an incredible person and great host. His home is cozy, welcoming, very well located and has a nice atmosphere. I couldn't ask for a better experience with Airbnb than what Eric provided. He communicates well, provides easy access to his place and is extremely friendly.
Christopher2016-05-30T00:00:00ZEric's place was GREAT! Check in was extremely easy, with everything you needed to know about his house and your stay all communicated before hand. The room was clean, house was clean, and bed was super comfortable! As a traveler just passing through it was a great place to rest my head after a very long drive. If I pass through in the future, I would definitely stay again. Thanks Eric! Oh ya, and his dog was adorable! Loves his belly rubbed!

Stay was just as excited. Vince was very friendly and helpful. Great view and easy hike to the beach! Thanks for a great stay Vince.
Katie2017-05-04T00:00:00ZVince's home is within view of Agate Beach (only one house lies between his and the beach). He's a friendly interesting host. He helped us with trip planning which was much appreciated. The space upstairs where the bedroom, sitting area and half bath are was cozy and had a great view of the ocean.
Gail2017-05-16T00:00:00ZVince was fantastic - very accommodating, communicative, and informative, and his place worked out great for us. You have the whole second floor to yourselves, and for our purposes (going to the Newport Seafood and Wine Festival, and sight seeing) it was ideal.
Daniel2017-02-26T00:00:00ZVince was a great host. Taught us a cool trick for finding agates! Accommodations were great. Beach was very close and made for a great sunset.
Melissa2017-05-08T00:00:00ZGreat, central location. Could stay in the entire time, or be very close to all number of activities.
Traci2017-04-22T00:00:00ZCute house, well maintained and excellent views. Our host was friendly, informative and accommodating. Our room was comfortable, all our needs were met and we slept soundly. My friend and I felt like we came over to see a friend and stay the night. Oh and he makes a great cup of coffee!
Jaeda2017-02-25T00:00:00ZAwesome beach! Just a small walk from the house. Vince was great and insightful about Newport and surfing, we'd love to come back any time!
Ian2017-03-17T00:00:00ZMy stay at Vince's place was very relaxing and I felt like all of my needs were met. Vince is an excellent host, very hospitable and knowledgeable. I would certainly stay at this spot again. One of the many highlights was definitely the bagel and egg breakfast sandwich he fixed up for me early in the morning on my way out for the day. A+

For those interested in meeting new people traveling from all over the country if not world, this is the place. But for those of you interested in booking this place for a family retreat it is also your place. It is clean, economically priced, welcoming, comfortable and oh so groovy (and I say that in the most respectful ways). Benito is the real thing - warm, friendly and deeply interested in the people who stay here. I felt safe and welcomed and will definitely return. I am a single older woman traveling alone and never did I worry about my well being or safety. So wonderful. Oh, and there are three rooms to hang in. The sleeping area, a lovely comfortable living room (with fireplace and big screen) and a great kitchen that looks out on the backyard chickens and duck. I really can't say enough about it. A find for sure.
Harriet2017-04-03T00:00:00ZIf your passing through town and want to have a memorable time and meet people, this is the place to be. If there is vacancy, always go here first!
Alex2017-05-06T00:00:00ZThis was the coolest place ever! Benito is so laid back and helpful and kind. He responded to my texts almost instantly and was extremely accommodating for a special circumstance I needed. He welcomed me when I arrived and showed me around. The place is beautiful, comfortable, very spacious, and has so many great extra amenities including a piano and Netflix. The bed was comfortable, everything was really clean, and I loved that food was available for me to have for breakfast. If you are considering staying here, do it! You won't regret it.
Julie2016-07-16T00:00:00ZOh man! Where do I begin? From start to finish the Lost Buoy Hostel was such a wonderful experience. Benito was an exceptional host and made me feel immediately welcome. He had great recommendations for places to eat and socialize. This is the perfect place to stay if you are traveling alone or in a small group. The kitchen was spacious and the beds were comfy and warm. I even had a bit of separation anxiety as I left the hostel. It felt like I was leaving my own home. I can't wait to return and am actually planning on doing so when I head back home to San Diego in a few days. See you again soon Newport!
Jessica2016-01-08T00:00:00ZThe host couple were very friendly and welcoming. The quarters are clean and attractive and only a couple of blocks from wide sandy beaches of the Pacific Ocean.
Elizabeth2016-06-07T00:00:00ZOur stay at Bens hostel was great! The place was in a good location with lots of restaurant and things to do nearby. The place was super clean and offered breakfast. We were just passing through so we only stayed for a night but I wish we could have stayed longer. I wouldn't change a thing about this Airbnb or it's host. Love ya Ben!
Devin2016-05-13T00:00:00ZBenito was great about communicating with me the day of my arrival to give me instructions since he wasn't going to be able to be there at the time of my arrival. He was very good about following up. I also, last minute, decided to bring another person and he was very good at accommodating both of us. His place is located really close to the main area of town and it was easy to find. The kitchen is stocked with eggs, coffee, bread, fruit, which was a great plus. The hangout area is very inviting, and visually appealing with lots of great eclectic art, plants, posters. We felt very comfortable. Will definitely recommend and stay here again! Thank you Benito!!
Noel2016-10-03T00:00:00ZPremium hostel! Environment is warm and aesthetically pleasant. A provided breakfast and washer/dryer is the extra mile. Great value, would recommend to anyone visiting Newport.

The suite is a private, tranquil, quiet space. The bed is super comfy - better than many hotels I've stayed in. It's walking distance to some restaurants, and near to but away from the busy US-101.
Scott2016-07-20T00:00:00ZOur stay was relaxing, comfortable, clean and everything else you would hope for. We enjoyed walking on the beach and checking out the beautiful town of Newberg in the morning. We can't wait to be back and can only hope a stay in Celeste's beautiful home is available!
Rachael2017-03-16T00:00:00ZCeleste is an enthusiastic bnb host - very friendly, chatty, and helpful with recommendations for places to eat and visit. The house is stunning, the room quiet, private, comfortable, and very well presented. We loved it there.
Cam2016-04-02T00:00:00ZNice neighborhood. Close to the harbor area.
Rick2016-10-02T00:00:00ZCommunication back and forth was great! We were unable to check in at 4pm. We ran in to some construction / traffic, so had something to eat before checking in - so checked in a little late. One of their daughters was available to assist us when we arrived, which was very nice. I lived in Hawaii for nine years, so the Kona coffee was nice to brew in the morning. The separate water heater for hot tea was nice, which made it convenient to brew coffee and tea at the same time.
Kyle2016-08-03T00:00:00ZGreat value and privacy, excellent choice for mid-week business travel. Close to Bay-front for restaurants in the evening.
Sue and Dan2017-01-27T00:00:00ZPlease see all my comments under the review section. I enjoyed my stay and THANKS for noticing and killing the mega-spider!
Charlotte2016-09-01T00:00:00ZDidn't get to see/meet Celeste but check-in was easy with a key code. Communication with her was pleasant and prompt. Very nice/modern/clean property overall and the rental room/bath is downstairs so you get a nice privacy if that's important . Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Very nice Condo, great view over the bay front. Very modern and fancy room with everything one would need to stay. Very clean and put together. Had a few questions upon arrival and Neil was quick to respond and assist our questions. Will definitely be coming back great place and a great price!
Dakota2017-03-29T00:00:00ZThis place was so cute, very clean, the view is awesome, & and the complimentary items (snacks, wine, beverages, & yogurt) were a super nice touch that we really appreciated (kept us from having to go grocery shopping just for a 1 night stay). We'll definitely be back!
Kelly2017-04-16T00:00:00ZNeil is an incredibly warm and responsive host. He goes above and beyond to make sure his guests not only feel comfortable, but experience a feeling of being pampered by thoughtful and complimentary gifts of wine, water, and snacks not even offered in the best hotels. The room was aesthetically beautiful, clean, comfortable, and luxurious. The only aspect that could possibly upstage the room was the amazing view. We entered the room and were immediately greeted by sunshine sparkling on a gorgeous sea of blue. The large windows provide a spectacular view of the bay and one you can wake up to! We also had a private deck that allowed us to sit in the sun, sipping wine while enjoying the boats, birds, and beauty! We are definitely looking forward to returning!!
Patty2017-05-01T00:00:00ZWonderful view, nicely appointed. Would absolutely stay again!!
Elaine2017-04-07T00:00:00ZWalking into this condo was an instant delight! Everything was clean, modern, and looked brand new. The balcony over looking the bay was fabulous. His mini fridge was stocked with a few beverages and a bowl of treats was by the fireplace. The bed was super comfortable and made for a wonderful sleep. We have already recommended your place to friends who are traveling to the area.
Vicky2017-04-24T00:00:00ZBest place in Newport. Beautiful view and tasteful, clean, comfortable accommodations. I really liked the treats included with the room too!
Sarah2017-05-05T00:00:00ZAmazing!!! Neil was such a gracious host. Everything is way, way better than advertised. Will definitely be returning!
Scott2017-02-20T00:00:00ZWe had a great time in this sleek, modern condo. The decor and ambience appears better in person than the pictures! Comfy bed, awesome view off nice big balcony. Great pool/hot tub. It is a small space but if you know that going in, it didn't bother us. Only criticism would be that the futon-sofa to lounge and watch a movie on is not very comfortable. We would book again, thanks!

Richard & Kay were amazing hosts - kind, hospitable and full of great local tips. We loved our stay with them and highly recommend their peaceful spot! Even though we were in the heart of Newport, we felt miles away with the seclusion, beautiful view and easy State Park and beach access. The spot had everything we needed and all the extra touches. It was a perfect costal getaway for us and our little 6 monther. Highly recommended and we look forward to returning!
Amberly2016-08-04T00:00:00ZKay unfortunately wasn't home for our stay at the Jetty Gem, but Richard was absolutely fantastic. He was accommodating, quick to respond to any of our questions, gave us wonderful recommendations, full access to their BEAUTIFUL garden (that was full of veggies to harvest: artichokes, bok choy, lettuces, herbs, etc.) and beach going equipment. We only wish would could have stayed longer. Our to do list didn't quite get completed and we could have used three more days. In any case back to the Jetty Gem. We showed up to a fantastic gift basket with wine and snacks and a card (I hope I'm not spoiling too much, but it really touched our hearts). Also, you couldn't ask for a better location in Newport. Walking distance from the historic Bay area, the bridge, and the Highway 101 'downtown.' The historic Yaquina Bay Lighthouse is just a stones throw away with beach access. We pretty much walked everywhere, so, if barhopping is your thing *cough* this location couldn't be better. Honestly, the pictures provided for the Jetty Gem don't do it enough justice. Kay and Richards house is beautiful, which, unfortunately, isn't translated. The apartment is perfect for two, with a kitchen, bath, bedroom and living space. The TV is fully equipped with Netflix and iHeartRadio for all your multimedia entertainment needs, but there's so much to do outside our guess is you won't need it much. Surfing is also nearby, just a short jaunt up the 101 to Agate Beach. The surf shop Ossies is right there too for all your rental needs. We would totally recommend staying here as the value is excellent, especially for all the amenities you get in the deal. Richard and I (Justin) also shared many interests and so we got a chance to talk about books and our pasts. I really hope we have a chance to come back to Newport for another stay. If we do the Jetty Gem is on top of our list for a place to stay. It's really that great.
Justin2016-07-17T00:00:00ZSo close to the beach. So great to have fresh herbs and produce.
Matthew2017-03-30T00:00:00ZJetty Gem was the perfect weekend getaway, close to both the beach and the town of Newport. Kay and Richard were very accommodating with our dog, and the little details and treats around the apartment made us feel welcomed. Thanks so much for having us!
amarys2016-06-27T00:00:00ZHosts Kay and Richard were wonderful to us, welcoming in every way. The apt. was perfect for us, just right for two. The amenities were numerous, lovely and all with great care. Everything was artful and in great taste! They were available for advice about activities in the area, which we appreciated. The folding chairs to take to the ocean, were perfect! The location was perfect, quiet, private, and a view of the ocean. It was my birthday while there, Kay gave me flowers and a lovely card. We will return to stay with them again, next time for a much longer stay. Thank you Kay and Richard for your hospitality!
MARY A2016-06-24T00:00:00ZWe loved the Jetty Gem. It's got such a beautiful view of the ocean and a cozy interior that it makes even the routine act of cuddling on the couch to watch tv feel novel and special. And Kay and Richard really went above and beyond for our anniversary. Everywhere there were fresh cut flowers, a basket of snacks and wine upon arrival, a bookmark featuring romantic art on one side and a sweet handwritten note on the other, and grapes crackers and cheese in the fridge. They have us great restaurant recommendations -- we loved the Local Ocean. We will absolutely stay here again if we make it back to Newport.
Stephanie2016-10-23T00:00:00ZSee private note, I'll change if need be.
Peggy2016-12-06T00:00:00ZWe had a great time staying at the Jetty Gem. Richard and Kay have a wonderful home located super close to the beach and a great view of the ocean! We arrived to a welcome basket and card. Little details like that make such a huge difference. Also Richard was also there to promptly answer any questions. It was nice that they had crabbing equipment since that was one of the things we wanted to do while we were in Newport. Overall we would totally stay there again and recommend the Jetty Gem to our friends and family.

Lovely spot with a view of the ocean. Super comfortable bed and we'll appointed. Though we didn't meet Christine she certainly made us feel welcome.
in2015-10-01T00:00:00ZThis place is incredible! I was very impressed with the attention to detail and the overall comfort. I would absolutely recommend staying here and look forward to our next visit.
Sherri2017-03-11T00:00:00ZThis place is very cozy and easily feels likes a home away from home. Chris was really nice and was able to accommodate even the smallest things. The greatest sights to see in this area were all less than 15 minutes away from the apartment.
Alex2016-12-05T00:00:00ZChristine's place was great for us! Close to the 101 but far enough off the beaten path to feel secluded. Amazing views at all hours, the moon lit the ocean out our bedroom window as we fell asleep. Very comfortable, easy arrival!
Mat2017-01-06T00:00:00ZWe enjoyed our stay at Christine's. The area is beautiful and the views are wonderful. Her place is very nice, comfortable and unique. We would definitely come back to stay at her place.
Tracy2016-09-28T00:00:00ZThis was my first air bnb experience and I was very impressed. Super convenient. The apartment is comfortable and well set up. Conveniently located to everything we wanted to do in Newport. Thanks!

Jovan2015-10-12T00:00:00ZWe really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was very tidy and the beds comfortable. The proximity to the coast was a huge plus which made for easy access for a morning run for me and pleasant walk for my wife and our friends. Definitely would stay here again.

Great location! Perfect for viewing the stormy Oregon coastline. Enjoyed the Nye Beach area immensely with it's shopping and restaurants. Condo was warm and inviting with all the necessary accessories available at hand. Only thing subpar was the queen (URL HIDDEN) support and has difficulty with comfort. Overall, would definitely stay here again when visiting Newport and the surrounding areas.
Albert2015-12-06T00:00:00ZStaying a night at the Beachcomber was far more than expected. The view is absolutely incredible and Nye Beach is a really cool part of town with many small shops, restaurants and areas to hang out. It really felt like a beach vacation. The condo was clean and well put together. We could not have asked for more and they even helped us to get in easily when I had lost the first welcome information sheet. Awesome place!
Jim2015-10-19T00:00:00ZThe beachcomber is a great place. Very affordable compared to other similar options I was considering. Very clean and cozy despite the building being a bit older. The location and view right in the center of NYE beach was perfect for our weekend. Thanks!
Kory2017-03-26T00:00:00ZGreat place with fabulous view and location!
Karen2015-08-24T00:00:00ZEverything was wonderful and accommodations were very nice. We loved the closeness to the beach and the beauty of looking out the window into the ocean. Thank you for letting us be a guest at your home for a few days. Many memories were made!
Karen2016-06-23T00:00:00ZGreat place to stay. The place was clean and in an excellent location.
Daniel2016-08-13T00:00:00ZWe had a great time staying at Dan and Teresa's. The location was perfect and within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and the beach, communication was easy and fast, and views were beautiful. Everything was clean and cozy. We would definitely stay again!
Katie2017-05-01T00:00:00ZThis place was perfect. I really enjoyed their check-in system and was glad I didn't have to coordinate an exact time. Place is MUCH bigger than it looks in the pictures. You can't help but feel right at home with the kites in the closet, the waves so close and all of the beach activity at a comfortable distance down below. One of my favorite Airbnb's ever.

We loved being here. It was so close to the coast and had a pretty nice kitchen. Thank you so much for making it available to us!
Violeta2017-04-23T00:00:00ZYou can't beat this little house in terms of low key value. We really enjoyed our stay in this very quiet neighborhood. Ourselves and our two pups were instantly relaxed. It's a very short walk to the beach and all of the shops and restaurants of downtown Newport. If you're looking for a place to stay for a chill trip to the coast for the price of a hotel room. This is a great option. The kitchen is well stocked. The living area is surprisingly spacious and homey. There's a million books to read and games to play. And everything is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed an evening with friends cozy in front of the fireplace playing board games, as well as late night beach walks. Thumbs up!
Jenga2017-05-07T00:00:00ZVery nice host, Alex is very prompt in replying, and very friendly & courteous. If you are prone to allergies, this may not be the place for you. It is definitely a pet friendly home. If you have any back issues, don't sleep on the downstairs bed, it has a large sink hole in the middle of it. However the upstairs full size bed is delightful! Super comfy! The tea/coffee bar was also awesome! It had pretty much anything you could want. There were quite a few dvd/movie choices for adults, not so much for kids. (fortunately, we didn't have any kids with us!) This is a very affordable rental, and we recommend it if you are just in need of a place to crash after running around all day.

Roy and Cristina were so welcoming and kind! Their home is full of flowers and greenery, and their three cars are friendly and playful. The location was perfect, just outside of Newport. Would definitely stay with them again!
Liza2016-08-04T00:00:00ZNot only did I have a great Airbnb experience, I got to know a bit about a hidden Oregon gem, Toledo. Cristina and Roy were welcoming and warm, with generosity of spirit and use of their home. There are so many great Airbnb experiences that I haven't been a repeat visitor, but I hope their home is available the next time I work or play in their part of the world. And then there's the apple crisp and peach pie. And the cats. And the solarium. And the backyard. And the travel conversations. I left feeling like I have new friends. Had I chosen to have a more reclusive stay, that would have worked as well.
Jennifer2016-09-05T00:00:00ZVery nice people and kitties! We had a great stay.
Kayla2017-04-30T00:00:00ZWhile it's a 20-minute drive from the actual coast, Roy and Cristina are fantastic hosts and the room is incredibly comfortable. It's on a separate floor and feels much more private than you'd expect for a shared room. As noted by everyone else, they were fantastic with tips and helpful answering all our questions. Highest recommendation!
Greg2017-03-27T00:00:00ZRoy and Christina are gracious hosts and they have a lovely home. They invited me to dine with them. They were engaging conversationalists. We got along famously and I have already booked with them for my next business trip.
David2017-05-04T00:00:00ZRoy and Christina are super awesome. They care about their guests from many aspects: not only provide everything you need in the house but also give out their wonderful suggestions on attractions. You feel you're being taken great care in their home!!!!!
Lu2016-12-24T00:00:00ZRoy and Cristina were wonderful hosts, so sad, we didn't get the chance to meet! But the communication was very good and they organized our stay perfect. We would definitely visit again!
Insa2016-10-22T00:00:00ZRoy and Christina's place was very relaxing and they were fantastic hosts. Very short drive to Newport and the hot tub was a welcome bonus, especially in the chilly weather. I would come back there in a heartbeat.

Had a lovely stay here. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed. Very child friendly with a pack n play, a high chair, and utensils. That was a nice surprise! Also the beach is so close, the location was just great.
Jennifer2016-09-07T00:00:00ZOur stay at Purple Door was fabulous! Totally easy to find, simple to get inside. Rooms were spacious and lovely. I was pleasantly surprised to find so many amenities for my little family-- a pack n play, high chair, optional baby gate, and sand toys were found in various closets in the house. My 3 year old was just tickled to find the sand toys! The Smart TV was also great to hook up our Netflix to. Absolutely no problems with our stay here... except, be warned, sound travels (we have a 3 month old, too), but not so much that a white noise machine won't cover it ;)
Shelby2016-09-12T00:00:00ZWe loved staying at the Purple Door! The townhouse was tidy and friendly, with books and games and a few pantry items donated from previous renters or Heidi. It was a really lovely home for our little vacation. There's a great park right behind the townhomes that was great for the kids to play at, and the beach was just across the street and down the hill, so it was easy to be there frequently. Nye Beach shops were a block and a half (URL HIDDEN) a really quaint area. Heidi was helpful and organized, and I'd definitely stay here again. Loved it!
Rachel2015-07-10T00:00:00ZWe enjoyed our stay at Nye Beach. It was a quiet and spacious place to bring our family. It had everything we needed and more. We loved how close the beach, park and shops were to walk to. We didn't meet the host but he was very quick to respond to any questions I had. we look forward to staying again.
Nina2016-06-27T00:00:00ZTownhouse was great! Perfect location and had everything we needed. Just a short walk to the beach and into town. Absolutely enjoyed it and would recommend it!
Margaret2016-05-19T00:00:00ZSpacious and clean! We loved our trip to Newport! This location is great; close to Nye Beach and the cute town area of Historic Nye Beach, easy walking everywhere we went. We thought it was very comfortable and enjoyed our time there immensely. We would definitely return! Communication with Sean was quick and easy. Great place, great host!
Sarah2016-07-11T00:00:00ZWe loved this place so much! The condo was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Great location. We'll definitely be back!
Natalie2016-08-05T00:00:00ZGreat stay at Nye Beach Townhomes. Great hosts and easy to coordinate. Would love to visit again!

Great cottage with spectacular view!
Pat2017-03-06T00:00:00ZAbsolutely perfect experience. My husband and I were so comfy and happy here. I am a painter and I was so inspired by the views, I painted five watercolors! We will be back! This gem felt like home from the second we arrived. I have never slept better. Do try Local Oceans as Louis suggested. We ate there three times.
Joan2016-08-14T00:00:00ZThis was a great place to stay. My wife and I enjoyed the privacy that this cottage offered and the views are second to none. The cottage is more stunning than pictured and is very welcoming. The ocean views are phenomenal and beach access is a very short walk from the front door. If you are considering booking this cottage, I would definitely recommend it!
Alex2015-04-16T00:00:00ZOur stay at the cottage was even better than we had hoped for. The view is truly spectacular and the setting is very private. Perfect for a romantic getaway. We are already looking forward to a returning for another stay. Thanks Lou!!
Jeremy2015-11-18T00:00:00ZAbsolutely beautiful. Secluded, spotless, and an incredible view. The pictures are amazing and it's even better in real life. Louis was great and gave us good restaurant suggestions. We had one sunny, beautiful day and sat out on the deck soaking up the sunshine.
Lesa2017-03-16T00:00:00ZThis is such a great property. Super private, central location, amazing views, it has it all. The host was friendly and helpful with local restaurant tips. My wife and I were so happy with our stay and got the R&R we were looking for. Five stars from us! Hope we get to go back!!!
Matthew2016-11-07T00:00:00ZI'd love to tell everyone to stay away from this listing so that it's always available for us to stay at, but I just can't; this place is AMAZING! The views are incredible, it's tucked away so that it gives you a great feeling of privacy, and the cottage offers everything you'd need for a getaway (Fireplace, balcony, TV, internet, fridge/freezer, dining table, comfy couch, board games and a nearby walkway to the beach). Louis met us at the Cottage and gave us some insider tips on the area (restaurants, attractions, and sites) which were spot on. We loved spending/ending our honeymoon here and can't wait to come back for a future anniversary!
Jesse2016-04-26T00:00:00ZThis cottage was absolutely stunning and my girlfriend and I were beyond satisfied with our experience. The location is just a short drive to town yet still maintains an unexpected feeling of seclusion and privacy. The beach is also just a short walk away, which we gladly took advantage of as well. We certainly plan on coming back again!

Judy and her husband Doug were amazing hosts. When we arrived they greeted us with our choices of three wines to share with them from their balcony viewing the Pacific Ocean and we were treated like an old friend or member of the family. They were over the top hosts-greatly exceeding our expectations. Their home is quiet and we had an amazing breakfast waiting for us in the morning. We didn't want to leave!!
scott2016-09-07T00:00:00ZGreat location just south of Newport. Exactly as described and Zippy, the cat is adorable. Enjoyed talking with them in a variety of subjects.
Heather2017-04-22T00:00:00ZGreat great couple to stay with. Really good conversationalist and made us feel very welcome!
Patrick2017-02-20T00:00:00ZNice lovely home. Superb conversationalists. Easy to get to know and truly enjoyable people.
Leland2017-02-06T00:00:00ZJudy and her husband was a great host. Her home is decorated with beautiful art from the cutest blue dog painting to the beautiful lamp you see on your arrival. She treated me to a delicious glass of wine with the warmest smile! We felt very welcome in their home. I was going to the coast with my partner for my 30th birthday. They got me a cupcake with a candle and sung happy birthday to me! The room was VERY clean and smelled amazing! We got our own bathroom and that was well stocked and clean as well. They we such nice and kind hosts. I would for sure go back!
Christina2016-10-23T00:00:00ZJudy and Doug are extremely welcoming hosts. They made us feel like home immediately. The house was nice and clean. You also get the extra benefit of petting a big friendly cat. Judy made us awesome breakfast. The view from the living room was beautiful even in winter. It was a great experience in general.
Ji2017-03-19T00:00:00ZMany wonderful things to report after our stay with Judy and Doug. They have a lovely and beautifully decorated home and are open and gracious in their hospitality. We enjoyed several nice chats with them. The room and bathroom are impeccably clean, super comfy bed, luxurious linens and towels. Location is superb! Close to Newport but quiet. A great beach access is only a short walk away. Zippy the 24 pound cat is a love. Judy offered up a tasty light breakfast and beverages. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend their warm abode to travelers of all kinds.
Zette2017-05-14T00:00:00ZJudy and Dave live in a very nice house 6 miles south of Newport, overlooking a beautiful marsh. We had a great conversation, their cool Ragdoll cat showed up as well. Very nice people, great place to visit, I hope to visit with them again

All the way through the reservation process, Wallace was prompt and clear, friendly and welcoming. Wallace is kind, open and conversational. He cares about his guests and tries to make things easy and comfortable. The first drive into his land is best done in daylight, as there are forks in the road and gates and signs caped in moss and puddles to avoid, a beautiful sinuous way to transition from the highway and city bustle to the deep peace of his gracious property. His home's placement above the slough, nestled in trees, facing the eastern sky is exquisite. Accommodations were comfortable, he kept the house warm with a woodstove (though each room also has a heater,) and he allowed me to use his kitchen however I wanted. The decor in this authentic lived-in home reflects his love of books, learning, culture and art. It was a pleasure to chat with him over morning coffee and evening bowls of food, and to walk the marsh one sunny morning with our binoculars and our mutual appreciation of Nature. He knows lots about the land, the animals and kayaking on his slough. All in all, a wonderful domiciliary and host choice for my retreat. I will go back. Thanks Wallace!
Elise2016-02-22T00:00:00ZI loved my time at Wallace' place! The space was comfortable, the scenery gorgeous and conversation with Wallace was a pleasure. Directions to the house were thorough, easy to follow and I had no problem finding the home and traveling the roads in my Volvo S40. Writing in the space was peaceful and I spent the day kayaking up the slough- right from the banks of the house. A lovely visit and I will return. Thanks, Wallace!
Eve2015-01-27T00:00:00ZIf you want quiet seclusion and interesting company, this is it! Simple furnishings but all that we needed, minus a coffee pot. Do bring your own if a french press won't suffice for you. Air bed was actually very comfortable but noisy to move on if that bothers you. Plenty of on demand hot water for shower. Love the wood stove just like home! Beautiful view, deck when it's not cold and rainy. Dock for easy access to slough and a few minutes paddle to the bay. Can paddle up the slough quite a ways. It is quiet out here. Loved It! The road in is gravel and about 15 to 20 minutes in off the highway so bring your food and a cooler if u r staying a few days. Your car will be muddy just so you know. This place is why I love airbnb. Kayaker's delight! Also, Wallace is so fascinating and had so many experiences you will thoroughly enjoy his company and vast array of knowledge.
Sara2016-12-04T00:00:00ZWallace's place is just amazing, really quiet, confortable and Wallace was a great host for us. His kayaks were perfect to discover the beautiful Yaquina Bay. Really nice experience. I would definitely recommend. PERFECT PLACE FOR NATURE LOVERS
elisa2015-09-21T00:00:00ZThis home is tucked deep in the raw beauty of nature. Waking up to the breath taking view of the slough was such a treat. Wallace has an easy going and welcoming atmosphere in his home. It was a genuine pleasure to get to spend time talking story with him. We would love to come visit his little slice of paradise again.
Elisa2017-02-26T00:00:00ZWallace was an absolute delight. The Property was beautiful, and very rural. Bring bug spray and good conversation.
Axl2014-08-11T00:00:00ZI had the most wonderful time! It's in credible Beautiful nature over there! Kayaking with seals what more do you want in life!!! Wallace home have a very special place in my hear!!! Katleen2016-04-07T00:00:00ZWallace made me feel very welcome. He was a warm and considerate host, providing good directions and greeting me upon my arrival. I appreciated my conversations with him as he is a well traveled and interesting person. I also especially appreciated his willingness to allow me the use of his kayak on the slough during my stay. The accomodations are comfortable and the setting beautiful and peaceful. His place is a little out-of-the way and somewhat hard to find, so I would encourage travelers to arrive before dark at least on the first night of your stay. There is much to do and see in the Newport area, so coming back to the peace and solitude of Wallace's place is a good balance. I enjoyed my stay very much, and encourage others who may be looking for a different vacation experience in a nature oriented environment to consider Wallace's place a close look.

Fiona's place worked out really well for us. Nye Beach is such a great little neighborhood with a nice selection of restaurants within walking distance. The beach is 30 seconds down the road. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It was clean and well equipped. Getting in and out was super easy and we enjoyed out stay. Communication was very responsive. Cell phone reception is not the strongest in this neighborhood and there is no Wi-Fi in the unit. But, the coffee shop right across the street is great and has wifi. Thank you so much Fiona. We thank you for your hospitality.
Reid2016-06-20T00:00:00ZWhat a great little spot!!! We loved our time at Nye Beach and loved this apartment above the bustle of the town below. Such great access to the beach, and really catered to our kiddos with toys, a pack and play and movies! Would have loved cable TV once our kids were in bed for the night, but would for sure stay here again. Thanks so much!
Mindy2016-08-26T00:00:00ZGreat place, spacious and well lit, in quite possibly the best location in all Newport. Love!
Brian2016-08-28T00:00:00ZSuch a lovely visit to Nye Beach! So close to the beach, cute shops and great cafe's to eat at. We loved our stay!
Tresa2016-09-15T00:00:00ZWe love Nye Beach! The apartment was spacious, charming and had everything we needed for our stay. I was especially appreciative of the full kitchen as I was able to use that space to prep for a wedding I was coordinating over the weekend. The apartment was great to come home to both nights, especially after working 12 hours on Saturday. The neighborhood is so darling, although parking was a little tough, but we made it work. Our experience was really positive, and I'd love to come back to this place again.
Bekki2016-09-12T00:00:00ZWe had a amazing time. Loved being steps from the beach. It was very clean and perfectly located.
Jenni2016-08-15T00:00:00ZThe description of the listing was very accurate. The location of this place is great. Walk away from the beach and all restaurants are within a walking distance. The place is very clean and spacious. Beach equipment is provided which was a bonus. The only drawback was that there is no wifi and the service strength is weak.
Justin 2016-07-14T00:00:00ZGreat location! We loved the neighborhood and the proximity to the beach. There was some late night noise though.
