Enjoy funky Beacon at your doorstep, with everything at walking distance!
The bright Antarctica Gallery Room is in a brand new, state of the art home with a private bathroom, AC and floor heating. The queen size bamboo mattress is the right blend of firmness, softness and all around comfiness with lux linen bedsheets. The open and spacious glass shower is the perfect place for your next big idea, with hair dryer and organic soap. The room currently displays an exhibition of Antarctica by your host. We can accommodate guests with a baby with a Bassinest (0-6 months) and a small tub for bathing.
Beacon is the ideal weekend getaway. The Main street has it all, healthy restaurants, galleries, designer shops, live music and seasonal events. The best time to visit is the second Saturday of each month, when shops and galleries stay open late and host many fun activities.
  • We had such a lovely stay at Aga and David's beautiful home! Very comfortable, clean and had a quirky artistic touch. Would definitely come back again!

  • This room was the perfect spot to spend a night in town. The accommodations were generous, tasteful, perfectly clean, and very private. Aga had plenty of great recommendations for spots to eat and hike as well. I'll definitely come back my for my next trip to Dia.

  • This place was perfect, in a great location, and so cute. We even recommended it immediately to a friend who recently had a baby, as it's also baby friendly! Aga and David are wonderful hosts, we really enjoyed staying with them. Will definitely be back.

  • I spent a great two days in Beacon and a lovely, comfortable night here. Aga was very kind and gave me great tips about the neighborhood-she recommended I watch the sunset at a certain spot and I was not disappointed! The accommodations provided were comfortable and homey and I had everything I needed. The location is also great-just off Main Street with so many shopping and dining options just a short walk away! I would definitely recommend and hope to stay again if I'm ever back in the area.

    Marie2017-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Immaculate room just steps off Main Street, close to the train station and everything in Beacon. Aga was welcoming, kind, and full of suggestions. The room is brand new and has a private entrance.

    Luis2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • The Antarctica room is so lovely! It's a peaceful oasis, especially when visiting from NYC. Aga made the beautiful furniture herself! The room is perfectly clean, centrally located, and all communication with Aga was easy. The house is a 15 minute walk from the train station and you can walk to hike Mt. Beacon from the house. She and her daughter Luna are the sweetest! It was lovely chatting and getting to know Aga as well. We hope to come back on a weekend trip from NYC soon!!

    Cora & Kai2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • My sister and I needed to get away from the city - and Aga/David's space went beyond expectations. Not only is the their space beautiful - they accommodated our early arrival and helped point us in the right direction for food and entertainment. Look forward to returning and hiking more around Beacon, but also staying here again.

    Grace2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying in the Antartica Room! The room was clean, comfy, and creatively decorated. We loved how close the room is to Main St. Thanks for a great stay!

My place is close to hiking the mountains, biking trails, and other family-friendly activities. Walk to Main Street shops, restaurants, nightlife, and public transport. It is centrally located in Beacon; Tree City, USA!! . You’ll love my place because of it's comfortable convenience, hosts that make you feel like family, and a great cup of morning coffee!. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
  • We had a wonderful time at Patricia's place. Her house is very cute and cozy. Patricia is super nice and helpful. She prepared us a breakfast and even drove us to the train station. She also offered us to go apple picking. Sadly, we didnt have enough time. Would definitely stay with her again next time:)

    Kulnida2016-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Patti we loved it! Very clean home and very cozy feel. She had coffee and delicious pastries waiting for us when we woke up. Literally a walks away from the downtown. Make sure to go to the left and the right on Main Street. There are tons of great handmade boutiques and lots of good food. We highly recommend this place. Patti is above and beyond helpful. Can’t wait to come back and stay here again.

  • We had an amazing stay at Patricia's, she was an outstanding host, extremely accommodating and friendly. The bed was comfortable and the room was very cozy. Her home is very close to town and hiking spots. 10/10 recommended :)

  • I was our second stay at Patricia's BnB. All I can say it's perfect. We'll book this BnB every time traveling to Beacon.

  • Our stay at Patricia's was wonderful. She has the top floor of a beautiful house in Beacon, NY. Our room and the bathroom were both so clean. She made us feel so welcome and even made us breakfast and coffee in the mornings! Her dog is also adorable. Would definitely stay with her again.

    Elisa2017-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Far and away best experience I've had in 4 years of using airbnb. Patricia has an impeccably clean home and makes you feel right at home. European style breakfast is fantastic. Perfect location. Her sweet dog is the cherry on top. We hope to be back!!!

    Hannah2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • The room and Patricia's home was incredibly lovely and clean. She is nice and accommodating - everything was very seamless. Her location is ideal for a hike in the nearby mountains, a walk in the quaint downtown, and quiet enough for a relaxing evening. Also, coffee in the morning was perfect!

  • Chris and Penny are such warm people and have a beautiful place. We had a whole floor to ourselves and everything was immaculate. They both went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome in their home, including offering us breakfast in the morning. They are perfectly located for visiting Storm King or Woodbury Commons (as we did) and I imagine it would be even more beautiful there in the summer. We would highly recommend their place to anyone thinking of staying in the area!

    Blathnaid2017-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect place for any length trip to the Catskills, the outlets or the surrounding areas. Chris & Penny are wonderful, engaging people and they provide every "extra" (tons of towels, shower stuff, breakfast, 3tvs, light snacks & beverages, etc). No hotel can compare. Our family of 4 was 1000% comfortable in their space. Your privacy is respected while they cater to your needs, not that you'll have any because it's the total package. Would absolutely return & recommend.

    Erin2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Chris and Penny's place has a perfect mix of privacy and social connection. The guest part of the house is separate from the rest of the house, but there was a much appreciated invitation for a light breakfast and some company in the morning. The accommodations were spacious, clean and very comfortable.

    Aliza2017-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely lovely place to stay. Chris and Penny are gracious hosts. They clearly enjoy having guests, made us feel very welcome and taken care of, and were happy to tell us anything we needed to know to make the most of the area. Their home is beautiful and well cared for, and offered sufficient privacy and very comfortable beds. They even provided us with beer, wine, and breakfast. It was more than we could indulge! I would happily stay with them again.

    Bryan2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Chris and Penny are lovely hosts who have a lovely cozy house. They are very welcoming and friendly and the rooms are very clean and nice. It was also very nice to talk to them and they showed us the church.

    Madeleine2017-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Chris and Penny are very hospitable and were very accommodating in taking care of our needs during the stay. The two bedrooms were very comfortable and well cleaned. The cooking area in the washroom is basic, but worked for what we needed for the week. We enjoyed our stay in New York very much.

    Joe2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Chris and Penny are very nice person! When we said we cost a long time to get the house,Chris said we can use the other way .He even drive in front of us to help! And Penny made very nice homemade breakfast, you may want to taste!Very nice yard and Pool! I love there.

  • My friend and I loved our stay at Chris & Penny's! They were amazing hosts and extremely friendly and welcoming. I loved the atmosphere of the place and the place was perfect. I highly recommend and look forward to coming back in Spring time. They also knew the area really well and had great suggestions. The breakfast and the amenities were a pleasant surprise. We’ve created the perfect space for you to relax, replenish and take in the beauty of the Hudson Valley. Our beautiful 1920’s Craftsman home is located on one of the most stunning blocks in Newburgh's Historic District. With sweeping river views in the rear and a blooming native wildflower and organic veggie garden in the front, your visit will feel as luxurious as it is grounding and nourishing. You're walking distance from great restaurants and historic sites, and worlds away from ordinary.
Our home is a magical haven for mindful, grounded living - we live and create here and we like to keep the vibe very casual and serene. Your spacious room with attached deluxe private bathroom is on the second floor and features Hudson River views from every window. It has a queen-size bed with a premium pillow top mattress and is furnished to inspire peace of body, mind, and spirit, with lots of cozy spots to unwind, a closet and dresser for your personal items, and a dream sized bathtub to soak in. We provide fresh towels and linens, natural soaps and shampoo. Breakfast is served in our beautiful kitchen overlooking the river or in our lovely dining room, and also on the porch when weather allows. When our organic garden is in season you’re likely to find refreshing herbal infusions and fresh picked fruits and vegetables in your breakfast! Wi-fi is included but note there’s no TV in the house. We’re big on conserving water and energy and in general having a light footprint, and we’re interested in hosting guests who are willing to be mindful along with us. We’re very involved with the local arts and urban ecology scenes here and are happy to offer suggestions for local events, restaurants, and excursions.
If you love architecture, history and natural beauty, you'll love our neighborhood. It's truly stunning.
  • We had a great time at Ophra's house. The space is lovely, well taken care of and of great quality. The spacious bathroom, with a large tub in the middle, views of the river is fantastic. Ophra was very flexible and trusting in letting us check in very late at night. We were very grateful as we were exhausted after many hours of driving. Newburgh is a lovely town. We'll be back!

    Daniel2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay. The only criticism was not getting an answer at the door on arrival. The hostess expected us to inform her of our ETA. That point was not communicated to me when I booked. I works have let her know if asked. However she did answer my message and gave the key location. Everything else was very satisfactory.

    Diane2017-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic room in a quiet, peaceful home with thoughtful, kind hosts. Walking distance to historic sites and beautiful old houses along the way. Oprah and Marcel were welcoming, and the serene room was just what I needed to relax and rejuvenate. And the bathroom is amazing!! I also had a bodywork session with Oprah which was deeply relaxing, grounding, and left me very still. I highly recommend staying here!

    Matthew 2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Ophra's house is a warm and welcoming place. The room is spacious and nicely decorated, and the bathroom is truly grand! We had a really nice, albeit brief, stay.

    Emily & Amy2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • We really lucked out staying at Ophra's and Marcel's place. The space was as wonderful as it was described in the listing. It was peaceful, clean, spacious, comfortable and decorated with interesting colora and textures. (My taste!) the bathroom was extraordinary! If you stay here, don't pass up taking a bath. After a very good night's sleep, a light and healthy breakfast was served- along with a thoughtful conversation about the environment and healing. This was a great kick-off for our vacation.

    Pamela2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Ophrah's home is lovely. Beautiful room and superb bathroom in a perfect location to enjoy Beacon and Newburgh. The room got a bit warm at night, but that didn't bother us too much. Overall, we had a wonderful weekend.

    Shawn2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here for a weekend trip and I have to say: absolutely fantastic place! Ophra and Marcel were welcoming, full of advice about things to try out in the Newburgh/Beacon area, and great to talk with as well. The room is quiet, the bed is comfortable, and the bathroom is as amazing as the pictures indicate. Highly recommended.

Private attached studio suite at the foot of Mount Beacon. Separate entry, luxurious queen bed, with room to relax. Can add crib if needed - just let us know! Trailhead to Mount Beacon just steps away, as well as the University Settlement Camp. More information on train, cabs and shuttles at beaconarts, and navigate to VISIT. We will allow small dogs, but sorry - no cats!
This is a beautiful and recently renovated private guest suite, with mid-century furnishings, an enormous television screen (with cable, Netflix and a huge selection of DVDs), a fantastic shower, radiant heated floors in the bathroom, a work-space, and everything you need for a pleasant and relaxed stay. We are located at the foot of Mt. Beacon, with convenient access to hiking trails, and seasonal transportation to Main Street. We are also just steps away from the University Settlement Camp.
In addition to being next to the trailhead to Mount Beacon, we are also walking distance from the University Settlement Camp, a popular venue for weddings, arts fairs, family reunions, birthday parties and other events. It is also the location for the Beacon Independent Film Festival, which takes place in September. We are also quite close to Madam Brett Park, and are on the Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail. Bob's Corner Store (a super-local deli and convenience grocery store) is located about 100 yards away on the other side of the Mount Beacon Park parking lot, if you want a quick bite or to buy a beer.
  • Tim and Kelly's place was wonderful. Super clean and the perfect size for a quick getaway trip. They thought of everything and even left water bottles and beers chilling in the fridge for us when we arrived. Would definitely recommend!

    angela2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • This room was very nice. It was clean and comfortable. Tim and Kelly equipped it with everything you might need for a comfortable stay, including a Keurig, a Brita water pitcher, water bottles, utensils, cups, some fresh fruit and a microwave. There is even a phone charger in the room. It is about 15 minute walk to Main Street but you can catch the Loop on the corner. The best part, it is located just a few steps away from the Mt. Beacon trail.

    Sheella2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great little hideaway 15 min walk from Main St. Lovely studio and stay!

    Bryanne2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect! Don't be dissuaded by there not being many reviews yet, Kelly is an excellent host and the space is wonderful. The attention to detail with amenities (coffee creamer, plastic ware, hairdryer, extra toiletries, a yoga mat, a charger by the bed, etc) was very appreciated. The linens and bedding were high quality, the place was spotless and comfortable. It was easy to find, parking was excellent, and it was superbly located to everything we wanted to visit in Beacon. :)

    Caitlin2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Tim + Kelly's place was AMAZING. The space is exactly as pictured, even a little bigger than we expected. The room was well decorated and spacious with every amenity you would want to find in a hotel room. The bed was extremely comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. Tim and Kelly had some great recommendations that made our trip to Beacon even more wonderful. They clearly love hosting guests in their airbnb and it shows as every detail of the experience was considered.

    Erica2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • I couldn't recommend Tim + Kelly's place more. It's exactly what you expect an airbnb should be: it's clean, so comfortable, close to fun things, and they allow dogs! Initially, we were going to leave super early on Friday to catch a museum but our pup was sick which postponed our plans. Tim + Kelly were incredibly understanding and accommodating. After a congested trip to NY, we found the room to be perfect. My husband kept commenting on how it was the perfect airbnb after two stressful days. They left us suggested things to do around Beacon as well as tick and flea repellent for hiking. We would absolutely stay there again and plan to!

    Carrie2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • This unit is perfect! An easy drive to all the nearby attractions, private entrance, kitchenette, and the pleasure of speaking with the host Kelly. She is a long-time resident of Beacon and has a lot of knowledge about the area. By chance we met again when I visited the nearby Manitoga house, where she was my tour guide! I would love to come back.

    Lynn2017-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly and Tim's place was amazing. It's literally steps away from the trail head. The place is very clean and has everything one can possibly need. We got to the place a little late at night. It was a humid/rainy day. Kelly has explained to us exactly how to find the place and even offered to pick us up from the train station. When we walked in, it was heaven. They had kept the AC on for us so we can walk into humid-free, clean room with a little lighting in the corner. It was so clean and so nice. Moroccon brand shampoo/conditioner, bug repellent, plastic utencils

Steps from Main St, tucked cosily in the back of our home, is our bright and cheery sun room. The room has a private entrance, private bathroom, and a private deck with garden and mountain views.
Although located two blocks from Main St, the room is very quiet and peaceful. At night you can hear crickets chirping and see the stars from the large back window, deck, or yard. The recently renovated room is situated on the first floor and attached to the back of our home. It has its own private entrance, and bathroom with a deep-soaking tub. The giant window in back affords plenty of light and you will wake up to the sun rising. The room has a mini fridge and though there's no kitchen or tv, there are many restaurants and pubs just steps away.
Our place is in the middle of everything: steps from Main Street where there are coffee shops, farm-to-table restaurants, craft beer pubs, and vintage stores. It's a 20-minute walk to the Metro North station with trains leaving nearly every hour for Grand Central Terminal (the trip takes about 90 minutes). Other places of note: 5-minute drive or 30-minute walk to Dia:Beacon museum, Mt Beacon, and the trails along the river. 10-minute drive to Breakneck Ridge. 25-minute drive to Storm King across the Hudson river.
  • My sister and her girlfriend spent two nights at Larysa's place and loved their stay there. Larysa was a generous and thoughtful host. I hope to go myself soon!

    Cerise2017-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Larysa was a great host! She provided a list of recommended local spots as well as clean and quiet accommodations close to town. Would highly recommend :)

    Gina2016-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time. The room was really nice - just perfect for our needs: simple, sparse and quiet. Her suggestions were very helpful. In fact, we went to several of the cafes she recommended later in our trip.

    Jennifer2017-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect quick getaway from NYC - fell asleep to crickets chirping and woke up to birds singing. Very close to the shops and food on Main Street. Loved our short stay here!!

    Caroline2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • The Beacon Sun Room was the perfect place to stay for a weekend away from the City. Larysa gave great suggestions of things to do (i.e Storm King) and places to eat (i.e. Quinn's). Although the room is connected to the main house, the separate entrance and layout of the room made us feel like we had our own private place. We found the bed to be incredibly comfortable and the jacuzzi bath was an amazing feature to the room. The room lives up to the photos - the natural light and decor were beautiful. We would absolutely recommend staying here and hope to come again.

    Hannah2016-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect studio for a little getaway. The room was quiet, clean and walking distance to Beacon's cute downtown. Easy access to many hikes and outdoor activities.

    Holly2017-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Larysa was very accommodating, helpful, and sweet. We couldn't have asked for more. The room was adorable, clean, and very private. We were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to go which was excellent! We will definitely be staying with Larysa on on next visit to Beacon :)

    Bronwyn2016-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • The stay at Larysa's sun room exceeded our expectation in every way. The room was very clean, check-in/check-out process was super easy, the place had everything we needed, and it was in a very convenient location close to main street. Definitely recommended!

Your own private entrance through lovely private stone courtyard with your own seating area and barbecue gas grill, cozy room with comfortable queen bed, private bathroom, kitchenette, wifi and all amenities. Steps from your door, beautiful peaceful private lake and miles of Hudson Highlands hiking trails. Short 10 to 15 min. drive to picturesque village of Cold Spring and train station, Dia Museum and galleries in Beacon, and more. One or two adults (with one child okay).
To find things to do, go on the internet: look for "tripadvisor" click on "Things to do" and then "Things to Do in Hudson River Valley NY" there is allot of info for this area.
  • The room was very comfortable and amenable, comfortable bed, tiled shower, sweet little kitchen setup--but the best part was the setting for relaxation: the lake, the patio, rocky surrounds and drive down the dirt road to the space was beyond my expectations. Sleeping at night with the sounds of nature through the screen door was divine.

    Heather2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a hidden gem! Quiet and scenic location that's very relaxing!

    Charis2017-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • My sister and I stayed at Helmut's place for a night. It was as listed - quaint, cozy, and just the right size for us. We appreciated having a small kitchen and enjoyed making breakfast thanks to the fresh eggs Helmut left for us in the fridge. Communication with Helmut was great! We hope to return to explore more of the area.

    Jessica2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful forest environment. Quaint atmosphere. Beautiful stonework. Comfortable bed and so nice to leave coffee and eggs. You helped make our first anniversary so special. We truly wish we could have met our wonderful hosts.

    Lisa2017-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • The location of Helmut's Airbnb makes it one of a kind. It is secluded in the woods outside of Cold Spring (an easy drive away) and steps away from a beautiful lake to swim in. Helmut and his wife were very accommodating and wonderful to talk to. Our stay was very comfortable for myself, my GF, and our small dog, and I would highly recommend!!

    Alex2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Helmut was an excellent host! We enjoyed staying at his lovely house. It's the perfect get-away from the city. The location is excellent for anyone who loves the outdoors. Accessible to some amazing hiking trails, a private lake, as well as good cycling in the area. It's also very close to Fishkill Farms, and even closer to the town of Cold springs. Helmut was even kind enough to drive us to Fishkill, and to the train. He is truly delightful to talk with. Hands down he's the best Airbnb host I've ever had.

    Mary2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful and peaceful abode. Helmut was truly generous throughout out our time there: picking us up and dropping us off at the train station, leaving chocolates and food in the space, sending us home with fresh eggs from his chickens, and sharing his kindness and good humor. The room was homey and well decorated with lovely artworks, comfy chairs and bed, soft lighting, and a kitchen with everything we needed. The view is gorgeous: mountain, lake, endless trees and the architecture of Helmut's and the other homes is fairytale-esque. We are already looking forward to returning!

  • Branis was an excellent host who greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour. We were a group of 6 and found the house to be a perfect size. It is very centrally located, conveniently steps away from Foodtown and Main Street. I would highly recommend this house to any group! :)

    Jenna2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place! I didn't meet Branis in person, but she was incredibly helpful through the process. The house was pristine, and quite large! It was well located right near the Foodtown grocery store, with an easy walk to Main Street and the train station. It also had a lovely deck and fire pit. I'd highly recommend this place!

    William2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Branis was an outstanding host that I absolutely hope to stay with again! Her home is beautiful, incredibly clean and close to town, shopping and hiking. A group of 8 went up for a nice relaxing weekend in Cold Spring, taking the train from the city and walking to the house. There was no need for a car all weekend as food shopping, etc. were all close by. Branis also provided recommendations for kayaking, hiking and eating. We had a beautiful time and enjoyed the chance to cook at home and relax by the fire pit after our day's adventure.

    Bryan2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Branis was a wonderful host and we had a great time. The house is spacious, has great living areas, and is well located. We hope we can stay there again.

    Scott2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Working with Branis through the reservation process and the stay was a dream. All questions were answered promptly and courteously. Our stay in this beautiful, spacious home was wonderful. It had everything we needed and then some! Being close enough to Main St to walk was such an added bonus for shopping and meals. We will absolutely stay here again when we return to the area!

    Helena2016-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay in a great location. This is my second time staying at Branis's home and it was yet again superb. Close to town, hiking, restaurants, river and mass transit. You cannot ask for a more convenient set up.

    Bryan2016-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Branis hosted me and six friends for Independence Day weekend and we had a marvelous time. The home is a very short walk to anything you need, from restaurants and pubs to grocery stores and liquor stores. It's also a beautiful, spacious home with plenty to do, including backyard BBQs and bonfires! Best of all, the home comes with an exceptionally kind host who walked us through the house to show us how everything works and even offered to pick us up from the train because it was raining! Cold Spring was an amazing weekend getaway destination from NYC and the best way to experience Cold Spring is by staying with Branis! Thanks!

    Phill2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience was perfect from beginning to end. Our little group could not have felt more welcomed or well taken care of. Branis was the consummate host and her home was at once easy on the eye, spacious and comfortable. We lacked for absolutely nothing and could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you Branis we hope to be back in the near future.

A Victorian built around the turn of the century, this house is now our home, with plenty of space for guests. For the last two years we've been busy returning it to its former Victorian glory, and adding some beautiful modern touches. At one time a bustling boarding house, it has welcomed many through its doors. Please come join us for a night or two. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
We've recently remodeled the house which once housed an old dentist's office, and the room for rent is the old surgery room! But don't worry, the vintage walnut bedroom set, hardwood floors and antique nicknacks give a feeling of serenity and calm. The room also has its own Victorian porch overlooking the front yard, surrounded by mountain laurel, dogwood and linden trees. The newly remodeled full bathroom is private to the guest area, and is only shared if we have another guest visiting.
We are one block away from Main street Beacon with the lovely cafes, galleries and bars. Beacon is rich in dining options, all in walking distance from the house. Please have a look at our Guidebook for specific recommendations. The great hiking trails of Mt Beacon are a short walk away, Fishkill creek waterfall just down the hill, and of course DIA Beacon is a must visit with its fabulous permanent collection.
  • Jessica was a gracious host - and her place was located very close to the heart of Beacon. She was very responsive, had great suggestions for things to do (especially if you wanted to Hike Mt. Beacon), and very hospitable. Lovely accommodation too - especially the interesting artistic touches added. Felt quite nice to also have coffee on the private porch while watching Beacon pass by.

  • This is a very lovely downstairs suite in a large two-story private home. The room and bathroom were clean and well-stocked. The town is beautiful and a must-see. The hostess was excellent: very friendly and helpful! We had a very nice stay and look forward to returning in the future.

    Dianne2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely stay in this room! A kind couple, a nice porch, a warm welcome. You're in good hands!

    Christopher2015-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Jessica and Jason were great hosts, and their little boy Charlie is the sweetest. The pictures of the room didn't do it justice; it's large, and beautifully appointed with antiques and interesting curios. The bed is huge, with a perfect mattress, and wonderful sheets and lush comforter. I was exhausted during my stay, so didn't take full advantage of all the communal spaces they had to offer: living room, kitchen, screened porch, and garden areas; but my room was so perfectly comfortable, that I was equally happy holed up.

    Ayanna2015-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • best deal in Beacon hands down! Jessica is very hospitable, made sure we settled in and answered our questions. Private porch is super nice bonus. Having tea on a porch in the morning - what can be better! Highly recommended

    Liz2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Jessica was a wonderful host! Her house is charming and the room we stayed in was comfortable. It is a close walk to Main Street shops and restaurants and the beautiful waterfall on the river.

    Mary2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Room was cute and quiet, it was easy to find and there were nice instructions for the bathroom, wifi, etc. Definitely a good place to stay when in Beacon! - Charles

    Charles2016-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Jessica, Jason & Charlie were lovely hosts. They were welcoming and helpful but not intrusive in any way. The house is full of love and positive energy. The room was exactly as pictured with beautiful vintage details. The house is a quick walk to Main Street with access to restaurants, bars, shops, etc. Highly recommend this as a place to stay if you visit Beacon. A wonderful getaway!

8 minute walk to Main Street (many restaurants, cafes, galleries, etc) 7 minute walk to Mt Beacon TrailHead. Cozy space set up for a couple (or solo traveler) looking for a relaxing escape from "The Real World". A couple days here really feels likes so much longer!
Originally a bakery built in the late 1800's adjacent to the "main house", on a large corner property. This space has been recently lovingly renovated by me, keeping lots of original rustic charm and details, with many modern updates and conveniences added. You have your own beautiful little private yard. There's a gently babbling stream, table/chairs, herbs and flowers, with Mt Beacon a few blocks away. After booking, you'll have access to the "House Manual"; there is so much useful info in there! Since I personally have always dreamed of living in a hotel, my goal has been to make this place have all the things that are appealing about a luxury hotel: super clean, freshly laundered linens, tons of upscale & modern amenities, safe, uncluttered, beautifully decorated. All this while also having the added bonuses of being very private, very unique, in a quiet neighborhood, lots of character, a fully-functioning and stocked-with-basics kitchen, a beautiful yard and comfortable cozy spaces to enjoy. It's a small place, but certainly more spacious than a hotel room and SO much better! There are two floors. 1st floor is the open living room/kitchen with a 1/2 bath. There is a stairway open at the bottom leading to the 2nd floor with bedroom and full bathroom. Luxurious spa-like bathroom: Large glass shower with Steamist generator to turn it into a steam sauna, with rain shower head and body sprayers. There's a reclaimed wood bench to comfortably lounge while you take a steam. Relax in what might be the deepest soaking tub ever, with heavenly water jets and epsom salts for a therapeutic bath. Chill out in plush super-soft cotton shawl bathrobes (always freshly laundered). Enjoy lounging just outside your bedroom on the small balcony overlooking the yard and serene neighborhood. Brooklyn Bedding mattress with luxury linens and lots of pillows. A true "Chef's Kitchen" (I have a restaurant in Brooklyn) with everything you may need to enjoy some meals in your own private getaway (don't miss going out too for the great food and restaurants in Beacon and the area.) There will be basic pantry stuff (organic coffee, olive oil, salt, spices, many condiments, etc.) available for you to use freely (Usually some fruit/veg/milk, etc). I always stock the fridge with seltzer and filtered water for your stay. There's an awesome Viking range with convection oven and powerful exhaust fan. A Vitamix (frozen fruit in freezer for smoothies), drip coffee machine, espresso machine, dishwasher, etc. etc. There is a gas grill for cooking outside; walk 6 minutes to Barb's Butchery and check out the amazing local selections you can cook up for yourself. Roku TV's in bedroom and living room/kitchen. Not suitable for children under 13. Off-street parking.
Quiet and beautiful neighborhood, but basically in the middle of all the local "action": walk less than 10 min to Mt Beacon to hike, then later walk less than 10 minutes in the other direction for the Main Street attractions.
  • Everything was exactly as described and dan was very communicative to make sure everything went well. The jacuzzi was perfect, and the garden outside was great for sitting and eating outside. Lots of small attention to detail here that add up to a highly recommended experience. Made great use of the space as well - felt spacious.

    Roger2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Dan's place is amazing! We will definitely be staying here again the next time we visit Beacon.

    Brooke2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great experience in Beacon. Dan is a fantastic host, and his place is cozy, comfortable and perfect for a couple's get away. Be sure to use the jacuzzi tub, it was amazing!

    Kelly 2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I decided to get out of the city last minute, and on a tip from a friend we looked into Beacon NY. Dan was an exceptional host with a lovely home. The home is wonderfully comfortable and upscale all at once and was the perfect size for two of us. A bottle of wine was waiting for us and there is a printout of the house manual explaining everything we needed to know. I highly recommend staying at this location. It's a ten minute walk to Beacon's main street and a ten minute drive to Breakneck Ridge. The bathroom amenities (deep tub and steam shower) are incredible. Thanks Dan!

    William2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • After one extraordinarily difficult week, we were looking forward to a weekend away to decompress, spend time together, explore a new town and maybe sleep in a bit. Our stay at Dan's place achieved that and then some. The beautiful living room and kitchen was so comfortable. The cozy bedroom was perfect. The bathroom with its super deep tub and steam shower was amazing. The neighborhood was quiet, leafy and charming, and a short and pretty walk to Beacon's awesome Main Street and the trail head to Mt. Beacon Park. No detail was left untouched; everything was so well-considered and well-placed, labelled well for use and so, so comfortable. Secure entry and exit were made super simple and easy, and things like automatic lights, intuitive heat/AC system and placement of utensils and amenities took away all of the disorientation that can come with staying in a new place, particularly someone's home. Something I especially appreciated as an Airbnb user was that I felt like I was being hosted, not just crashing in someone's place. While there was a ton of charm and personality, there was no weird feeling of being among someone's STUFF. It was like being in the most perfect, charming bed and breakfast, but with privacy. We cooked in the kitchen (the Viking range is awesome), we read cookbooks from the adorable bookcase full of interesting books, we soaked in the deep tub, we sat in the steam shower and we slept great in the cozy comfortable bed. We arrived hoping to have a nice weekend and left feeling deeply relaxed, happy and restored. Have already happily recommended to friends and will definitely be visiting Dan's again.

    Krista2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great stay! Absolutely loved the jacuzzi tub, steam shower, and then the private outdoor porch to cool off. The kitchen was well stocked with lots of guilty pleasures. We went up from Grand Central without a car, and were able to get around Beacon on foot fairly well.

    Alison2016-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • I was a bit hesitant booking this place as it’s new on the market, no reviews. You enter the apt off of a private garden that’s for guests only. There’s an enclosed porch area that was a bit rustic but cute. Looks like there's a pot belly stove to warm it during cold months. The apartment itself is amazing. I didn’t have time to cook but I wish I had. You can’t stop looking around the place because every nook and cranny is thought out. The upstairs bedroom has a balcony overlooking the garden, the bathroom has a steam shower AND a jacuzzi tub. Everything amenity was top of the line (bathrobes!). What I like really liked about the place is that you didn’t feel like you were intruding- the fridge had condiments to use but there wasn't a bunch of awkward food in it. The upstairs closet was empty for my use. I never use a closet if there's the owner's clothing in it. Oh and there’s a full size ironing board and iron. I’m definetly coming back!

  • Our stay at Dan's Beacon apartment was one of the best Airbnb experiences I've had! He was extremely helpful with travel logistics, and recommendations on things to do and eat in town. His place is adorable, he designed it himself and it has everything you need for a relaxing weekend away - down to the amazing steam shower and brand new kitchen appliances. Dan went out of his way to make us feel at home, and was extremely responsive before and during our stay. I was there for a weekend with my partner and my sister, and it was perfect for three people - could fit a fourth if you don't mind being close. Wished we could've stayed longer, and will definitely try and come back!

  • We planned a last minute fall weekend in the Hudson valley and needed a place to stay. We found Merle's place and were able to book it quickly. The house was more beautiful, spacious, and welcoming than we could have ever imagined. There was plenty of room outside of our bedroom to hang out (pool table room, tv rooms, balcony overlooking the river) and we enjoyed every inch of it. Merle and her husband were welcoming and friendly. Merle even baked us cookies and left them in our room! We stayed in bedroom 3 on the second floor. We had a very comfortable queen bed and direct access to the balcony. There was a bathroom down the hall. There were two others bathrooms in the house, one downstairs and one upstairs. In the morning, Merle put out croissants and other pastries, oatmeal, fruit, hard boiled eggs, trail mix, and coffee. It was a quick stay, but we really enjoyed ourselves.

    Kelsey2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Merle was lovely and helpful. The house was absolutely beautiful! My boyfriend and I were very happy with our stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting Newburgh. Merle has a high attention to detail with lush robes available, breakfast at 7:30am and wine glasses handy. We stayed in room 3 and enjoyed wine in the evenining on the back balcony overlooking the Hudson. Such a treat!

    Kelly2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Merle's home was absolutely lovely. Located within easy walking distance to the riverfront, it was a nice, centrally located home base. The home is incredibly cozy and warm, and beautifully renovated. Merle herself was also very helpful and accommodating. From initial contact to meeting us upon our arrival, she had so many helpful recommendations and tips that I wish we'd had more time in Newburgh to see it all. Overall, if highly recommend.

    Cecilia2016-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing hosts and the place is beyond perfect. Pictures don't justify the vibe and details of this beauty. Awesome place and the hosts have given such on point recs and history.

  • We had a great time at The Grand House; Merle and Chris were fantastic hosts and their home was magnificent. We loved our room and enjoyed having coffee and snacks on the back porch in the morning. And the entire house was warm and inviting, with an elegant style and charm. Merle was very accommodating when I asked to reschedule our booking and we really enjoyed getting to know her and Chris. I'd highly recommend staying here - I know we'll be back!

    Christine2016-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • I can't recommend staying at Merle's home highly enough! It's a gorgeous space with every comfort and she is a tremendous hostess. It was easy to walk to the Newburgh waterfront and great restaurants and bars around Liberty Street. We hope to be back soon for a longer stay!

Flooded with light and charm, this cozy 100+ year old cottage, an easy train ride from Manhattan is on a quiet street that backs up to the golf course for endless backyard views. Renovated top to bottom by this Beacon native, the home is now quite modern yet retains its historic appeal. Located just a 5-10 minute walk to Main Street or the Beacon train depot, this sweet home is the perfect weekend getaway for a couple, girls' weekend or for groups attending local weddings and graduations.
Passing through the generous front porch, you enter the great room brimming with light from the 12 original windows and 2 French doors. An open plan kitchen affords views out to the golf course and oversized back deck, while separate dining and living areas offer several places to gather. The kitchen has ample storage and prep space with a large peninsula and breakfast bar, two undercounter refrigerator/freezers and a full size fridge with icemaker just steps away in the full basement. There is a Nespresso pod machine and milk frother for homemade lattes and cappucinos and the pantry is stocked with basic condiments and most typical kitchen cooking necessities. Upstairs are three cozy bedrooms tucked under the eaves of the half hip roof, furnished with brand new memory foam mattresses, crisp bedding and a mix of modern and antique furnishings. The sparkling new bathroom has a comfortable soaking tub and marble topped vanity. There is a full size washer and dryer in the basement (please use only the products provided to avoid chemical sensitivities), There are new heat and central AC systems (two zones; upstairs and down); the heating system is very efficient and can often be set lower than one typically might, especially upstairs. While this is not a full time home, a few of our personal belongings are kept in the house, but there are plenty of empty drawers and other storage for guests. There is one full bath. In addition, there is a tiny water closet off the living room. It was installed by the previous owner for personal needs and I have left it in place until we expand it into a proper powder room in the coming months. There is a battery operated touch light on the upper right wall as you face into the closet if you choose to use it.
The house is ideally located near the train and Main Street, but is unusually bucolic due to the golf course situated just behind the street. This is a quiet street with nice neighbors, so please be considerate when coming and going. There is plenty of parking in the drive (at least 2 cars can fit tandem) and parking is allowed on the street.
  • Meticulously renovated home. Absolutely beautiful. And Comfortable, peaceful, filled with light. Great communication with host. Couldn't have asked for a nicer stay.

  • I had a fantastic stay at Bebe's house for the weekend with my boyfriend and a couple of friends. We took the train up for NYC and Bebe's description of the uphill walk from the train station to the house was accurate, but we had minimal bags so it was totally doable. The house was very convenient to Main Street (restaurants, shopping, activities etc), the dock for the Bannerman Castle tour, and Dia Museum - easily walkable to all. Would totally recommend staying here - great communication, easy, and welcoming home - wish I could go back every weekend!

    Liz2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • This listing was absolutely gorgeous! I stayed at Bebe's home to get ready for my wedding at The Roundhouse which was only 5 minutes away. It was very conveniently located and in a safe and quiet neighborhood. The house was updated, clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were so comfortable and I felt so comfortable and well rested up until I left to get married! Bebe was very kind and easy to get in touch with and would email promptly. Beacon is an absolutely beautiful place and I look forward to returning to stay in this amazing home!

    Bettina2017-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Nice home in a very convenient location.

    Kelly2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time staying at Bebe's house for a long weekend in Beacon! Great home base for exploring the town--about a 20 minute walk to Dia and the metro north station, a 10 minute walk to main street, and a 30 minute walk (or 7 minute drive) to the Mt. Beacon trail head. We had a car, but you could easily get by if you just came by train, as long as you're okay walking around a bit more. Highly recommend going to the farmer's market on sunday and cooking dinner in the lovely kitchen. We definitely made use of the grill and the nespresso machine as well! Bebe was very organized and communicative, and the place was very clean. Very easy stay, no hiccups!

    Caitlin2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • The snug and cosy cottage is a classic turn of the 19th century small home, updated beautifully, with 21st century vibe and homey feel. Kitchen and bath are fully outfitted and functional, though our stay was too short to take full advantage. (We did take full advantage of the very comfortable beds.) Bebe made sure we had all the info needed on the house's systems, and was quick to reply to any questions or concerns. I’d agree that it’s not a house for small children, though if you have older, responsible children, I’d say it’s not out of the question. Just be aware that there is only one full bath; the downstairs bath is currently just a toilet in a closet, though a true half-bath makeover is in the planning stages. It's walkable to the train or Main St.; though if you aren't reasonably fit, you will become a bit out of breath on the uphills. If you need a very early breakfast before grabbing the train, it's a quick ride on I-84 E to Route 9 Fishkill, where there is a 24 hour Dunkin Donuts. If you have time for a more leisurely treat, then take advantage of the artisanal choices on Main St. instead, like Bank Square Coffee (closest) and Glazed Over Donuts. We'd definitely stay there again; it's the perfect home base for exploring Beacon.

    Diane2017-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this cottage and will be booking again! The house, on a quiet street, backs directly onto a golf course and yet downtown Beacon is less than a ten minute walk. The interiors and furnishings are brand new and primo, we especially loved the open kitchen with a large gas range and a full Nespresso setup (all things we lack at home in Brooklyn). Bebe was a stellar host; check-in/out was a breeze and, during a big storm, when we briefly lost power she was in constant communication with us and the utility company, directing us to LED lanterns and candles. This is one of the nicest Airbnb's we've ever stayed in, you seriously cannot go wrong here.

Spacious, brand new cottage in our back yard walking distance from the train and to Main street. The cottage also functions as a photo gallery for the photographer Gil Gofer, presenting several images from his work around the world.
The cottage is brand new and has a beautiful bathroom, kitchenette (with fridge, toaster oven and a coffee maker), dining table, new queen size bed, desk area and a couch. There is internet access and a TV/DVD (no cable, but a collection of DVDs). The cottage is very bright and airy, with 2 ceiling fans and 6 windows. The cottage is best suitable for a couple, or for a couple with a baby (pack and play available upon request).
Mount beacon, Dia, coffee shops, restaurants, galleries, shops, the river all are within few minutes walk or drive.
  • Eli and Taly's was perfect for a weekend stay. The cottage was immaculate, the location was good and they are really nice people! Beacon is a lovely town, such a good choice for a getaway from the city.

  • The cottage is a sanctuary - Cozy, cute and comfortable. I loved my stay there, and it was a good location from which to explore Beacon. It says this in the listing, but do note that there is a mini fridge, toaster oven and a water kettle (and all the basics for tea, or snacks - plates, cups, etc), but you cannot really cook there. I was staying for a week and realized a few days in that cooking capabilities would have been helpful for me. Not a problem, but a good thing to be aware of depending on your needs!

  • Wonderful apartment and very easy and short notice getting access to the cabin.

  • Eli and Taly's cottage was a cozy spot for a few days away from the city, perfect for reading and drinking coffee in a quiet backyard. It's walking distance from anything you could possibly want to do in Beacon. Logistics were easy, and our time there was too short.

  • A beautiful little cottage, quiet and private but with a lovely bathroom, comfortable bed and amenities. Great selection of DVDs as well! The location is great for Main Street and local shops & restaurants. The guide books and info provided came in very handy for us on our hiking mini-honeymoon. Would definitely stay again the next time we are in Beacon.

Great restaurants, bars, and music venues are all within a few blocks. For skiers and snowboarders, you can get to a number of great mountains in under an hour.
  • Pros - centrally located, great communication, clean place, lovely outdoor terrace, central air was great (particularly when we were there, it was very hot). Cons - no blinds on the windows, bedding/sheets not very comfortable. I gave him a heads up on that privately so maybe he will make a change?

  • Josh was an outstanding host! The apartment was located in a perfect location, and was clean, comfortable, private and all-around awesome. I would highly recommend his place to anyone!

    Shahed2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Just as advertised. Great location, very clean, and Josh is a great host. Additionally, there is a specialty donut shop located beneath the apartment that was the most delicious thing I've ever consumed. Overall a great place to spend a weekend.

  • Awesome little penthouse in the heart of Beacon. Clean, simple, and very comfy. Loved the roof deck. Josh is a nice host. Book this place!

    Robert2017-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot, with wonderful natural light! Everything was clean and welcoming. The bed was comfy. I particularly appreciated the little chocolates on the towels put out for us. Josh's place was definitely within walking distance of the train, but we took cabs back and forth because of the luggage. That being said, we did do the longer walk to Dia: Beacon. Not bad at all! You can also walk or take a cheap cab ride to Mount Beacon Park for fantastic hiking and views. The apartment is very central to pretty much everything you might like to do in town. Would definitely stay again!

    Danielle 2017-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Josh's apartment is clean, cosy and in an unbeatable location in the heart of Beacon. It is perfect for a weekend getaway - would definitely stay there again. Fantastic restaurants, galleries, and boutiques nearby (and the most amazing gluten free bakery!!) Just a note to those who are sensitive to light - there are no blinds or curtains in Josh's place, so you may want to bring a sleep mask.

    Lauren2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Loved Josh's studio! It's the perfect location right by all of the shops and restaurants, and only an $8 cab from train. The apt is very clean and has great light. Would definitely stay there again!

Private, newly renovated ground floor in a single family house, located right by DIA Beacon and within a short walk to Metro North Train Station, Main Street galleries and restaurants. There are two bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a spacious family room with a dining station and direct access to backyard.
I offer the entire ground floor (900 sq ft) with a private entrance and direct access to backyard. Both bedrooms have basic furnishings, queen size beds and closets to put away belongings. There's a spacious family room with a full size sofa-bed, work/study desk, dining table, mini-fridge and basic kitchen utensils. The bathroom has a new shower and an access to laundry. The place is best for a family, couple or a small group of travelers but you can also enjoy it all to yourself.
The train and DIA Beacon are only a short walk from my house, making it a perfect retreat for a car-less getaway. By staying here you'll avoid the hustle of Main Street, yet you're walking distance from all the galleries and restaurants. For those who enjoy the outdoors, Denning's Point offers beautiful hiking trails through the woods to stunning views of the Hudson River within a few minutes' walk. Scenic Hudson's Long Dock Park and Madam Bret Park are also wonderful additions to my neighborhood. If you're lucky you may spot wildlife in the backyard - deer, rabbits, and groundhogs make frequent appearances. And keep an eye out for the blue jays, cardinals, woodpeckers, and red-tailed hawks that live near by.
  • Eva’s home was immaculately cleaned and the decor is beautiful. It was easy to communicate with her as well. We appreciated all the little touches; leaving us fruits and a fire starter kit to make s’mores in the backyard. Her home is also about a 3 minute drive to Main Street making it quite convenient to frequent restaurants and shops.

    Savitrie2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Eva's home is beautiful and she's a kind and gracious host. She really went above and beyond what I would ever expect and more than any host I've stayed with before (I've used AirBnB a lot). The house is extremely well located for Dia Beacon and Storm King. The downstairs apartment is private and spacious. Eva's personality is present in the decor which gives it a super homey and earthy feel. The fire pit was an added bonus as was seeing all the deer that roam around her garden and surrounding area. It's quiet and has everything you could want in terms of amenities. The bed was super soft, the whole place was immaculately clean. Easy to find etc. If you're considering booking then really I couldn't recommend it higher.

    Gavin2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Eva took amazing care of us when we missed our train back to New York and we had to find a place last minute. Her space is beautiful and perfect down to the last detail, and her hospitality saved our spirits at the end of a string of misadventures!

    Chris2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Eva's place was charming and comfortable. I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for a place centrally located in Beacon (steps from Dia and a short 20min walk to Main Street and the mountain trailhead). She's an incredibly thoughtful host, and I appreciated everything she did. From picking us up at the train station, to recommending restaurants and local events going on. Could have easily stayed for days. Thank you Eva!

    Jane2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Eva is a positive and energetic hostess who exceeds expectations. She was communicative before and during our stay, and passionate about making our time in Beacon wonderful. We went up by train, and Eva happened to be around and did not mind dropping us off/picking up around Beacon each day. The house is spacious, clean and light with new fixtures and fittings. Both beds were comfortable. One is firm and the other softer with a memory foam (I'm guessing) pillow top. There were plenty of towels and guest toiletries. The bathroom boasts a walk-in shower and a washer and dryer in the closet. Coffee, French press, milks and water were provided as well as a fruit basket and crackers. The kitchen upstairs was well appointed. The garden is spacious with a fire pit and seating and a dining table and chairs on the decking. We saw half a dozen deer in the yard during our stay. The lawn is kept short and neat. Other nice touches are Eva's art - a mosaic that is hard to stop gazing at, woven hanging baskets (and window sills) filled with plants, and wall hangings. Our 3 year old son loved Eva, and the house. He hasn't stopped talking about our time staying at this property.

    Melinda2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Eva's place was all one could hope for - a clean, inviting space spanning the first floor of a house not far from the Beacon Main St. area. Eva went out of her way to make sure we felt comfortable and at home - the various teas, coffee, and fruits were a nice touch! Three friends and I stayed in the two bedrooms and found everything to our liking. 5/5!

    Yoshi2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Eva was the sweetest, bubbliest hostess I've ever had! Her home s beautiful, clean and full of everything a guest might need. We had a lovely time!

National Heritage area and our home - Hudson Valley has inspired generations of writers, artists and architects. Visiting this area was on our bucket list years ago, but upon our arrival, we decided to stay.
  • I predict that Max and Dino will be the next lifestyle guru to watch, much like Joanna and Chip Gains of HGTV's "Fixer Upper." We as a family of four stayed at their newly renovated property in New Windsor for a weekend of exploration in the Hudson River Valley area and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful environment they created. The stylish interiors are accurately captured by the chic photos in the listing gallery. Every detail in the house is carefully considered and curated, from the ruggedly handsome handcrafted light fixtures created from reclaimed woods, to fruits and pastries in the kitchen, and Raffaello coconut almond candy left by the bedside table. On top of the above treats, Max and Dino have stocked the bathrooms with their own line of organic toiletries with essential plant oils from the Hudson Valley. I especially love the Jasmine and Black Spruce room fragrance, which is a rare and harmonious blend of traditionally feminine floral note with masculine woodsy note. In short, for an Instagram perfect fall getaway, you can't go wrong with this property! Highly recommend!

    Hera2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect hosts, fabulous house and furnishings. We loved the aromatherapy products they left for us! They kindly accommodated us on short notice. We did not want to leave when our stay ended!

    Patrick2017-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I stayed at Max & Dino's for our trip to New Windsor to check out some fall foliage. The home was very modern and conveniently located to hiking trails, restaurants, and supermarkets. We'd definitely stay again.

Come unwind at Beaver Dam Lake! This breezy lake house is situated on a private lake, in the town of Cornwall, in the beautiful Hudson Valley in NY. We are close to the train And there are plenty of cute little towns and villages, good restaurants, and shopping nearby.
Come hang at the lake house! Go for a swim in the lake, swing in the hammock, grill on the deck, make s'mores in the fire pit, and take in everything this perfect spot has to offer.
We are on a private lake with access to fishing, boating (no motors, so no noise), and a swimming beach. The community is a quiet area, so you can relax and unwind in a peaceful setting. We are only a few minutes drive from any number of attractions. There are many local places to eat, hike, explore, and shop. Whatever you would like to do, it is quite likely that you will be able to find it within a reasonably short drive. If you want to connect with nature, we have an abundance of hiking trails, including a section of the Appalachian Trail right in this town. If you want to shop, Woodbury Commons, a huge, gorgeous outdoor outlet mall is 20 minutes away. NYC is only 60 miles south of here, and can be accessed by train, which is 1 mile down the road. The Hudson River goes right through the Village of Cornwall a few miles away. There's a dog park in town if you want to give your furry friend a chance to play - and Jones Farm, a local staple and favorite, has the best homemade baked goods, fudge, and cider donuts you will ever have, plus a great gift shop, and a gallery/frame shop. It even has a few farm animals you can feed! There are two wineries within a few miles of the house, and a great brewery 10 minutes away. A yoga studio a couple blocks away, and another one (with aerial yoga) just a few miles further. The cute towns of Woodstock, Sugarloaf, Warwick, Cold Spring, and many other quaint, small towns are an easy drive from the house. Three wedding venues are in the area. West Point, the United States Military Academy, is a 20 minute drive from here. There are great historic tours there, and free concerts most weekends during the summer there. I will be more than happy to give you some information about the surrounding area, depending on the types of things you are looking to do. Whether you're a couple looking for a weekend away, or a group of friends wanting to have some fun and relax, or having a family vacation, this house is a great fit!
  • Host was very gracious and the house was great. She was available anytime to help us with any problems we had

  • Had a girls weekend up in the area and stayed at Rachel's. The view is LOVELY - we wish we got to enjoy it more. The house is located near vineyards and breweries which made it very easy for us. Rachel was very easy to communicate with and got back to you quickly if you had a question. Slept 6 people very comfortably.

  • This is a terrific house on a wonderful part of the lake. The lake is literally in your backyard. The master bedroom and living room have a beautiful view and Rachel was an awesome hostess. Highly recommended.

  • While we ended up having to cancel this stay due to unforeseen circumstances, Rachel was a great to work with leading up to our stay and was very helpful with the lay of the land in the area. Hope to one day have the chance to stay here!

  • Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to cancel my reservation immediately after I booked it (the same day) and Rachel was very accommodating. She contacted AirBnB and requested that I receive a full refund and she followed up with them multiple times over the course of the next week to make sure I got my money back. Thanks Rachel!

    Bandar2017-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel was a wonderful hostess! The fire pit and chairs in the backyard are especially perfect...they are situated so that you can enjoy the beautiful view of the lake! There was a small row boat and a kayak available for us to enjoy as well... Beyond the house, Rachel was exceptional! We were at the house over the 4th of July and our dog ran away from the house, due to the fireworks. 14 hours of searching later, we were reunited with our dog and Rachel was incredibly generous and helpful with the search! Very grateful that we found a great lakehouse with an even greater owner!

Immaculate, cozy and quiet! Come check out all that beautiful Beacon has to offer! Nestled in the heart of the Hudson Valley, this sunny space is located a short .7 miles from the base of Mt. Beacon and a quarter mile from Main Street. Main Street has a multitude of craft beer/wine bars, restaurants, shops and art galleries. The Metro-North Train station is 3.8 miles away. Check out The Dia Art Gallery and The Two Way Brewery on your way to your Air B-N-B space from the train station.
This is a two family home. We live upstairs and the Air B-N-B space is located in a separate space downstairs. We go out of our to make sure we are extra quiet when we have guests in the house.
  • Lisa and Mark made us feel so at home. We arrived to bottles of wine, Valentine's Day chocolates, tea, bars...we felt incredibly satisfied with the hosts. The place itself is cozy and just right for two people or a couple. Comfortable furniture, a beautiful nook for eating, a well equipped kitchen - it was fantastic. The location is slightly removed from downtown Beacon, which means it is walkable to downtown (15 minutes) but also pretty quiet - the best of both worlds. Walking distance to hikes. My girlfriend and I had an incredible experience and would highly recommend this AirBNB!

  • The host canceled this reservation the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • The stay was just what Isabel and I wanted. A quiet getaway, walking distance from the Main Street with bars and restaurants. Our hosts made it very easy for use to check in and check out. We even left something behind after we got on the train and Lisa was generous enough to mail it back to us on her dime! Will return again! Eric and Isabel

  • Lisa's place is very clean & check in was easy. It is very close to hiking trails & about a 10 minute walk from Main Street. Going to the metro north requires an uber since it is about a 40 minute walk. Over all I would recommend this home.

    Katie2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa's place was convenient, clean, comfortable, and exactly as listed- Lisa was helpful and kind. Couldn't recommend their spot more for folks looking for a nice weekend getaway.

Kat met us with the key, and gave us great recommendations for restaurants near the house (we tried Ms. Fairfax for dinner and Caffe Macchiato for breakfast — both delicious!). I can personally attest to the comfiness of the pull-out mattress in the living room. Thank you for hosting us, Andrew and Kat!

A recently remodeled Victorian built around the turn of the century, this house is now our home, with plenty of space for guests. For the last two years we have been busy returning it to its former Victorian glory. At one time a bustling boarding house, it has welcomed many through its doors. Please come join us for a night or two. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
We've recently remodeled the house which once housed an old dentist's office, and the room for rent is the old waiting room! The wood paneled walls and antique fixtures and furniture give your get-away that country/Twin Peaks/hunting lodge flair. The room has a private half-bath (toilet & sink) for privacy, as well as a shared shower.
  • I felt warmly welcomed by Jessica, Jason and Charlie. Their home has wonderful personality, is in a great location and they're a lovely family. The room was comfortable and quiet and I appreciated the off-street parking. Jessica made me a memorably great cup of coffee.

  • Jessica and her family were lovely hosts. The Timber room was perfect for our weekend getaway in Beacon. I would definitely recommend! Thanks again for a lovely stay!

    Jaime2015-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Super friendly hosts! Easy to find and convenient to both town, the train and wonderful hiking in the woods. Rustic and cosy!

    Kylin2015-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • The room was just as pictured with a comfy bed, great drapes to block out the light, and fun and funky decorations. The half bath was great to have. Even though it was cold outside, the comforter kept us nice and toasty. The house was only a few minutes walk from many nice eateries. Jessica was out of town while we visited but she communicated this to me immediately and she shared her friend Lisa's contact information with me before we arrived. Lisa and Jessica were flexible with our check-in time which was helpful as we wanted to maximize our time at the DIA Beacon. Lisa was very friendly but gave us our privacy. All in all it was a great visit. Thanks Jessica and Lisa!

  • Had a lovely time at the B house! Jessica and family were not there during my stay, but connected me with their friend who was helpful throughout my time there. The space is great, and house/room is very clean and relaxing! The location to town is perfect with so many great boutiques and restaurants close by.

    Courtney2016-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very pleasant and welcoming hosts. Nice, clean and comfortable accommodations, if not the most up-to-date. It's funky, though, like Beacon! Not your average chain motel for sure.

    Joseph2016-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay in Beacon, and Jessica and Jason (and Charlie) were great hosts! They were very friendly, welcoming, and laid back. Jessica also gave great walk/hike recommendations. I stayed in the other room that's listed for their house, and it was very nice and comfortable. The two guest rooms are on one end of the house, with a closed sitting area in between the guest rooms and the rest of the house, so it felt very private and quiet. The whole guest room section of the house has been nicely renovated and decorated. I would stay here again!

    Natalie2015-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed chatting with Jessica when I first arrived, and she was very good about communicating about arrival details beforehand. I liked the funky timber lodge style of the room and I slept really soundly when I was there. I appreciated being able to make some coffee in the kitchen in the morning. Beacon is a cool town and there is a bar with yummy food right down the street.

A beautiful view of Mt. Beacon in a quiet tree cradled home. A healing oasis for you with the enticements of the town and surrounding country so close. Beacon is a walk or bike ride away-about a half mile. New addition! 2 bikes available onsite for $10 a day!
Welcome weary wonderful travelers to The Slumbering Bumble Bee, named after one of the delights found in my garden. There are other treasures to find as you cross the portal onto the land where my home resides. Come and enjoy my home and find a healing arts environment full of warmth, charm, and it's own magical quirkiness. I'm a eco, gluten, holistic conscious woman who loves the idea of being a reverse gypsy. Instead of hopping about, I travel as I meet wonderful people from all over. You might find you enjoy one of my herbal concoctions I make or the sound of the quiet nature filled night or the easy walk or bike ride to Beacon. Then there is always my very loving love loaf of a cat, Willow, who may beguile you. Beacon is only an hour and a half drive north of New York City, and an easy 80 minute ride on Metronorth's Hudson Line. Beacon is a fabulous little town with excellent shopping, museums (DIA Beacon), great restaurants and coffee shops, and even our own music venues! There is also incredible hiking in the area, including Mount Beacon & Breakneck Ridge. Chapel of the Sacred Mirrors (COSM) is 15 minutes as well. We are also only 30 minutes from Storm King Arts Center. It is quiet with lovely geese honking, birds chirping, crickets in the summer nights chirping. Walking distance from main street Beacon and now 2 bikes available onsite for rental for $10 per day or $15 for the whole weekend if you need.
My home is a bit set apart from town. So for those looking for quiet but the excitement of town still quite close, this is the perfect spot. It is also a place to soak up healing vibes. The trees surrounding the oasis create a lovely set apart feeling. My herbal teas are extraordinary.
  • Beacon is a beautiful place. We had a great stay at Nada's

    Nicholas2014-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Nada was very accommodating and provided my friend and I with a warm and friendly environment during our short stay. Her plants and cats make for a lively and comforting experience, and we were even lucky enough to try a blend of tea she made from her impressive collection of dried herbs. Her recommendation for breakfast in town was spot on, and my friend and I both felt well-rested and nourished for the day of hiking we had planned in the Hudson Highlands. I will certainly be contacting Nada again if I am looking for a quiet, cozy place to spend the night close to Dia Beacon and Breakneck Ridge.

    Maxwell2016-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Nada has beautiful house that is filled with love and the smells of spices and essential oils. It was the perfect place for me to relax and get away from NYC for the night. Enjoyed the seclusion and serenity of the house.

    Aaron2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed with Nada for one night when we came up to Beacon from Brooklyn. Her peaceful home was very welcoming. We really appreciated the space heater in the guest room, the helpful pamphlets telling us about local attractions, and the tea, which warmed us up after a walk through the beautiful, tree-lined streets. Nada's cats were so cute, too! We arrived fairly late, and Nada helped us find a place to grab some dinner in town (we recommend The Hop, which has a great selection of beers and hearty food). For breakfast, we checked out Ella's Bellas, a gluten-free place on Main Street with amazing flourless donuts. We would definitely stay with Nada again, and recommend grabbing a cab from the Metro-North station, as it's a fairly long (and uphill!) walk from the train station. The fare would be $6-$7.

    Jessica2015-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Nada was an excellent host. I booked late into the day and she was very accommodating. Upon arrival she made me feel at home and prepared a pot of tea. Nada's house is cosy and eclectic. The bed is a comfortable and in a quiet room. The shared bathroom is spacious and has a generously-sized shower. I didn't use the house as a base for exploring Beacon, so can't comment on its proximity to amenities. However I can say that it's in a quiet residential neighborhood with a pleasant garden surrounding.

    Joshua2014-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Nada's house is on the quiet spot near the baseball field and running track which far from The main street around 10-15 min. Honestly, At first I hesitated about the location because it look far but actually its just easy walk and it give you a chance to discover this charming town. Her house is just like it in the private garden with the big tree. The room is clean, comfy and cozy which Nada also provide us some organic product which I really impressed. I highly recommend to stay with Nada. Her house is must visit if nature is your lifestyle.

    Korapin2015-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Nada was a very gracious host! She suggested a great hike for us that was perfect for the fall season. The house is very warm, comfortable and low-key, and it was a treat to wake up to scones and biscotti in the morning. Recommended if you want to stay close to downtown Beacon– Dia, Mount Beacon, etc– with Cold Spring and other destinations close by, as well. Thanks again, Nada!

  • This is a lovely, peaceful spot. Rafiqua welcomed me & encouraged me to call with any questions or needs. The room is ideal for a single individual. A private entrance & bath were essential to me. I also liked have a mini kitchen with fridge & microwave. The garden is very beautiful. I would be happy to return for another visit.

    Debra2017-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • Rafiqua's place was everything we hoped for and more. It's only a short walk from the shops on Main Street, but far enough to be a nice quiet place to get some rest.

    Ryan2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute and clean room in a quiet neighborhood. Conveniently located about 10 min walk from Main street. We had a great time hiking Mt. Beacon trails. Loved the fresh tomatoes from Rafiqua's garden!

    Janice2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place for a weekend getaway. Rafiqua gave us a warm welcome and her 1 bedroom supplied us with basic necessities including access to her beautiful garden. The bathroom is updated, there is a kitchenette with small fridge and living room with couch & TV. It's located within walking distance of shops and dining on main street and the Dia: Beacon. Close enough to engage in what Beacon has to offer yet tucked away for rest & recuperation.

    Kuye2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • It was a pleasant experience. The room is cute and clean with a lovely garden view. It was nice to have a private mini-kitchen, bathroom and even a separate living room space. Rafiqua was very accommodating, she showed us around her charming vegetable garden and around the area. She welcomed us with complementary fresh tomatoes which were delicious. She also gave us some helpful recommendations around town. Thank you Rafiqua for being a great host!

    Stephan2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Rafiqua is lovely and a garden connoisseur, the place is great for a relaxing weekend getaway. Nice surprise: small welcome basket with good eats and mini coca-cola. Microwave and Small Refridge are a plus, as well as separate entrance. Garden is calming while Rafiqua is tending to herbs in the AM.

    doug2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely space and location in Beacon! The room is a completely renovated suite located at the back of the house, so there's a lot of privacy. It has its own bathroom and kitchenette, and opens out into a garden. Rafiqua and her partner were very accommodating and nice. Highly recommend!

    Matthew2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Rafiqua's home was cozy and welcoming. When we arrived she welcomed us with fresh tomatoes from her garden. There were peaches in the fridge and soap and shampoo in the shower. The room was private, clean and located in walking distance from everything that we wanted to see. An amazing weekend trip in a beautiful and comfortable home.

The hosts were wonderful -- made sure I was fully informed of all aspects of their "little Grand hotel" and answered my questions about where to find a church and grad a bite to eat. Will definitely be back to explore the area further.

Street-level private entrance to a mini apartment just off Main St. in Beacon's west end. Pristine interior and a 15 minute walk from Metro North or plenty of street parking available. We live upstairs.
Private one bedroom mini apartment with queen size bed, TV, white noise machine and kitchen with table and chairs and bathroom with shower. The kitchen has a microwave but no oven. There is also no range hood so guests must limit the cooking to boiling and steaming and refrain from frying or sauteing. Although there is a washer and dryer in the bathroom they are not for use by guests.
Usually quiet residential neighborhood just off Main Street close to galleries, coffee shops and shopping. In addition to an active visual art scene, Beacon now has an equally vibrant music scene with all kinds of music available on any given night at numerous venues in town including The Towne Crier, Quinn's, Dogwood, Chill Wine Bar and others.
  • Eleni and David were wonderful hosts. Their space was even better than what the photos had me expecting. David greeted us with the key and even offered to freshly grind organic coffee for the morning. Beacon was a great place to get away for the weekend. Seeing Eleni's gallery and all the sculptures around town was a nice way to experience the art of Beacon. I also loved reading their guest book--so many great suggestions (like the ice pop place).

    Nicola2015-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • David was super nice to us, brought us excellent coffee upon arrival. The apartment was great: clean and fully equipped. Much better than it looks in the pictures! The location could not be better: less than a minute from the main street. Internet worked perfectly. We really wished we had booked for more days. We were super at home. If we come back to Beacon, will not hesitate to repeat.

  • Eleni and David made us feel very welcome; we even saw them around town, and they were very friendly, which definitely earns some "authentic small town experience" bonus points :) We very much enjoyed our stay; thanks!

    Danny & Kim2015-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is very clean (spotless actually) and comfortable! Eleni and David have clearly taken that extra step to pay attention to the details that make the difference between good and great (fast, reliable wifi; premium towels, etc.) They were very attentive to our needs, without being intrusive. Highly recommend!

    Jason2016-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Although we only spent a few hours at the Airbnb, it was clean, comfortable, and came with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. David was super helpful throughout the process and offered many tips on what to see/do in the area. The bathroom was larger than expected (which is always good), and having the premium channels on TV was a nice addition. Definitely would recommend!

    Leila2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • David and Eleni's apartment was perfect. It looked exactly like the photos, and it was exceptionally clean. It is in a recently remodeled part of the house, so all appliances are new. We also appreciated David and Eleni's eye for thoughtful detail; everything was color-coordinated! You can see Main St. once you step out the front door, so it was very convenient if you don't have a car. It was definitely a home away from home, and I would highly recommend it and would stay here again.

    Jessie2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • You absolutely cannot beat this location if you need a place to stay in Beacon. David was very kind and brought us coffee grounds for the morning. They also had a ton of great brochures and ideas for things to do and see in Beacon. One small hiccup: around midnight someone walked by our window and freaked us out a little. Aside from that the place was great; I highly recommend it.

  • Honestly, this may be the nicest Airbnb I've ever stayed at. I came in knowing very little about the area – and what I found was spectacular. Merle's place is a spectacularly renovated mansion right by the Hudson river – immaculately restored and incredibly decorated. Just a very, very fun space unlike anything I've seen. It's an absolute steal – if you are going to be in the area -stay here.

  • My girlfriend and I booked this airbnb because we wanted to explore Beacon. But I'm so glad we stayed in Newburgh with Merle. Having never heard of it, the city of Newburgh was a very pleasant surprise! It's full of history, great little businesses and breath-taking views of the Hudson. The airbnb experience itself was definitely one of the highlights of our weekend trip. Merle's house is really magnificent and she is an excellent host. Everything was very relaxing and we felt well taken-care-of. We hope to make it back one of these days.

Merle was gracious in greeting us and in informing us about the town and arrival info in the note she sent prior to arrival. I wish I could come up with a creative way to rave about the convenience of the location of the comfort we enjoyed. We would definitely stay here again.

(Hi this Brown Room is booked heavily in the summer. I have another property called the Blue Room, priced slightly higher. You could book that too. Scroll down to after the reviews to see the Blue Room---you could ask for discount if you like). The Brown room is located in Beacon Bamboo Forest (BBF), a colonial house built in the 1900s. It is situated in the City of Beacon, Dutchess County, New York, and in the heart of up and coming Beacon. The upper story of BBF, with new hardwood floors, has charming 3 bedrooms with a common bath. PLEASE NOTE that only two out of the three rooms are rented out and that I live in the third room. The Brown Room has a queen size real bed with an awesome mattress. The main floor features a kitchen, dining room, living room and an enchanting rustic yard with bamboo growing tall, beautiful and magnificent. The house has an old world charm to it. Walk to galleries, antique stores, restaurants, bars and cafes along Main Street, the amazing waterfall in the east and the Hudson on the west. Easy access to the Metro North Train Station that takes you into Manhattan, NYC. Bring your novel, laptop or newspaper and lounge in cafes, or just walk around in the fresh mountain air. There are great hiking trails all around including one leading to Mount Beacon. Visit charming nearby Cold Spring, Garrison and other waterfront cities/towns a few miles from Beacon, and accessible by car and the Metro north. Minimum stay of two nights at the weekend For single or double occupancy of each room: $75 per night on week nights (Monday-Thursday) $85 per night at the weekends (Friday-Sunday) Check in: 2 pm Check out: 12 pm
  • Jessica was a lovely host -- very welcoming. The house is very convenient -- just half a block from Main street, and with ample on-street parking. The room is small but comfortable and clean, and Jessica invited us to use her kitchen, living room and yard as well. I finished the open can of coffee (with permission) one morning, and it was replaced by the next morning.

    Elizabeth2014-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • The room was perfect for a weekend 'getaway' to Beacon. The room is the perfect size for two people, Jessica's home is warm and inviting, and Jessica herself is incredibly sweet and easy to communicate with. I would happily stay here again. She was extremely accommodating and house rules are clear and simple to follow. House is very clean! I'm a bit bummed I didn't hang out in the backyard with the bamboo, but there's a great view of the stalks from the west-facing window. Located right off of a very nice stretch of Main St with plenty of food, shopping and gallery options around, the locations is easy to get to from the train (a 15-20 min walk, or a quick taxi ride). I highly recommend Poppy's Burgers for lunch or dinner, Homespun for breakfast and the flea market on S Chestnut on Sunday. The walk to Dia:Beacon is scenic (about 20-30 min walk) and the falls over by the Roundhouse and The Hop on the east end of Main St are worth visiting.

  • We had a great time staying with Jessica. She was very very friendly and easy-going. Everything went smoothly from reservation to checkout. Our room was quiet and comfortable. The bathrooms and other shared areas were clean and well maintained. We were able to relax and feel refreshed after walking around the whole day. We would stay here again.

  • This is a great place to stay! The description was accurate and our host, Jessica, was wonderful. The house is very comfortable and feet away from Main St. and right around the corner from Max's, an awesome little dive bar with food and live music. It's also just really centric: it's about a 15m walk from the train station, you have a ton of stores and restaurants within 5 minutes of you, and then another 15m walk from the house to the Beacon waterfall area. Jessica let us know what there was to do around town, where to eat, what the local art scene was like, etc. and we felt really welcome. On the last day, as there happened to be no one else checking into our room that Sunday, she even let us stay way past checkout which gave us a whole extra day in town. We're already talking about going back (or moving, ha) to Beacon. In short: nice room, best location possible in town and best host award!

  • Nice clean bed and bedroom for the weekend. Jessica's house is located in a great spot- just off of main street in Beacon. Jessica is a very friendly and veteran airbnb host. I would recommend her home to people looking for a place to stay in beacon.

  • Jessica's home is the perfect cozy getaway to enjoy a weekend in Beacon - centrally located, clean, and comfortable! Jessica is a great host and made sure we knew all the best places in town to see and eat. Would definitely return!

The Rosemond Room is ideal for one or three travelers. It's our most spacious room and features a queen size bed, chaise lounge, and dresser with large mirror.
We've been restoring our historic 1890 building for the previous 3 years. The rooms have been carefully restored to their original glory, and furnished with an eclectic mix of modern, antique and handmade pieces.
  • Drew and Jane were very hospitable. The rooms are in a beautiful old house with a wood burning stove in the kitchen that just adds to the allure. For any trip to Beacon or Newburgh I highly recommend staying here!

  • Drew's house was a perfect getaway for my partner and I. From the art, furniture, bathrooms and our private bedroom - everything was more than we could have expected. I highly, highly recommend.!

  • Drew's place is beautiful, clearly he has put a lot of work into renovating this home. (He said it's more than 125 years old!). Great for a stopover if you're traveling through the Hudson Valley. A nice touch is his original artwork and prints throughout the home.

  • I had a lovely stay at Drew's. Th home is beautiful, large and cozy at the same time. You can see and feel how much love and care he and Jane have put into their home. My accommodation was immaculate and super cozy. The bathroom was modern and well appointed. Breakfast was perfect, sitting with the other guests chatting I felt very much at home and welcome. Pancakes, sausages, home made crispy bread and a frittata made with fresh vegetables from their garden, good coffee all while a Dave Brubeck LP played softly in the background. I wish I could've stayed longer. Next time...Many thanks!

  • An amazing stay in a home that has been shown a lot of love and dedication to making a new experience in the "bnb" world. The best breakfast I've had in a l(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)ng time and creative rooms designed for coziness. The hosts, Jane and Drew, are kind people with a vision.

  • Our stay at the Sweetwood Inn was better than we could have possibly imagined. The house has been beautifully restored and the service was also great. The best bit was the BREAKFAST! All made by Drew and his family. I'd definitely recommend a stay if you're in the area.

  • The Sweetwood Inn was a wonderful place to stay. The inn is beautiful and our room was incredibly cozy. Drew was really accessible and helpful with coordinating our arrival and served a delicious breakfast in the morning. We would definitely come back!
