New York Vacation Rentals

Just booked in New York

Location, location, location! Large, classy, timeless, comfortable, entire top floor with private entrance in our private house out of a 1890's novel in Williamsburg, Brooklyn one block from the East River. So easy to get to Manhattan by subway, ferry, cab or even foot, and all the best places in the "Burg" Wifi/cableTV/air/heat. (We stay in our separate floor below you never compromising your privacy!)
Perfect location on the Northside Williamsburg, Brooklyn Waterfront scene, my place is a wood beamed classic, with hard wood floors and restored original brick wall. It is the top floor of a 1894 restored house on a very nice semi residential street block. The nicely outfitted place, "the country in the sky" as I refer to it, has a beautiful totally functional "Peerless" antique prewar stove for cooking, generous amounts of pots, a wood burning fire place and a full size refrigerator in the kitchen. The feelings are cozy, warm, cabin like yet elegant. The kitchen and living room are in the same open area. There is a dining room table that seats 4, a beautiful brand new couch that folds down to become a very comfortable queen size bed that sleeps 2. Beyond the living area is the large master bedroom with a queen size bed that sleeps 2 with a large antique dresser and 2 riverside windows. Off the master bedroom is a large tiled classic bathroom with an antique skylight and large tub with shower, and a small bedroom with a twin size bed and riverside window that is nice as a separate rest area, a great place for a child to sleep, or an out of sight room to put your luggage and things. My location is beyond great and safe. 10 minutes maximum in a cab or car service over the Williamsburg Bridge and you are in Manhattan. It is a short walk (3 min) to the North 6th Street East River Ferry ( the scenic quick river route to Midtown Manhattan or lower Manhattan, please check schedules). Subways: L train ( gray line): First stop in Brooklyn, only one stop to Manhattan and a neat 10 minute walk from my place going by shops, restaurants and street vendors to the very frequent Northside L train subway stop at Bedford Ave and North 7 St, (Everything you want to pick up to take back to my place is on Bedford Ave or Kent Avenue which are the walking routes to the subway. (Among the small shops, restaurants and bars, there is now a "Whole Foods" supermarket and a Iphone store on Bedford!) The JM subway that goes over the Williamsburg Bridge with wonderful views of the river and NYC skyline to lower Manhattan (Chinatown etc), is a little further (13 min walk ) through the South Side. After a night out in the neighborhood, you will find this quiet, comfortable, timeless place to come home to that is the top floor of a restored Williamsburg house. All East River parks are a short walk away with their spectacular river and skyline views. During the warm months the weekend flea/food markets down Kent Avenue/North 8 on weekends are fun and back dropped by the river and Manhattan skyline. Grand Street River Park is only a block and a half away. I love going there in the mornings with a cup of tea and taking in the NYC view. The quaint restaurants and music clubs are amazing and abundant, the "Williamsburg Foodtown" Market has all the groceries you need and frankly the only reason I would leave the "Burg" would be to go to a museum, St. Patrick's, Grand Central's Oyster Bar or ice skating at Rockerfeller Center. Indoor Flea Market on North 7th right off Kent Ave, "Mast Brothers Chocolate" on North 3rd off Berry, "Beer Garden" restaurant lunch, dinner, brunch with live music on Friday nights on North 3rd and Berry, "Sea" restaurant (Thai) on North 6, "Sweet Water" (Bistro) restaurant on North 6, "Dumont Burger" for awesome burgers on Bedford between South 2-3, "Aurora" (Northern Italian) with great brunches, lunches and dinners is right around the corner as is "Coxley's" sport bar with 40 beers on tap and great chicken wings on Grand St. "Teddy's" rest and bar (American Bistro) on North 8, a landmark that serves brunch, lunch and dinner and also has music sometimes at night, and the "Knitting Factory" music performance space and bar is 6 blocks away on Metropolitan. The best NY steak house, "Peter Luger's" reservations only, is in the vicinity. The floor is divided in 4 areas: upon entering you are in the kitchen and living, dining room with a wall and door that separates this space from the large bedroom in the front, the large tiled bathroom and the smaller front bedroom. The living area can easily convert to a sleeping area for 2. The place is adorable and sleeps four comfortably. Much quieter than most places in the area. Heat, air conditioning, wifi, fine linens/towels and kitchen utensils are provided for my guest. Full laundry drop off service and dry cleaners is available a couple of blocks up the street at "Berry Cleaners" or 302 Bedford Ave. My personal assistant/butler and I will check with you on your arrival time, hand over keys and be close at hand for anything you need during your stay. I and my husband are on our private lower floor of the house.
The neighborhood feels like a small village. It is very safe and has such a mixture of different foods, cultures, and restaurants. The Manhattan skyline views along Kent Ave can get no better and the wonderful Pier off North 5 on a Sunday afternoon is full of families, tourist and the occasional fisherman. During the warmer months there are outdoor flea markets and food markets of North 8 on the East River side. Bedford Avenue (3 blocks away) on the North and South side is filled with non chain restaurants, bars and shops.
  • We had an amazing time in the cabin in the sky! The location is perfect, walking distance to the subway and to the fun and vibrant Williamsburg . Maria's place it is exactly how it is described and literally one street down from the waterfront where you can see Manhattan. We had fun catching the ferry to Wall street and walking around the area. It was really easy to communicate with Maria and Azul. Greg did our check in and he was very accommodating. During our departure, Azul helped us to get a cab and he were very kind to us. I can't give a high enough recommendation. This was my first experience with Aairbnb and I was a little bit concern about it but from the first email to the moment I got the cab back to the airport everything was really smooth.

  • Had a great time at Maria's place. Location was amazing. Super close to the L and just a quick trip into the city. Great neighborhood. Lovely rooftop view. And Azul was very helpful onsite with anything that we had questions or problems with. Thanks so much! E.

  • Really great characterful apartment in a marvelous location. The only drawback (and reason why this does not get 5 stars) is that there is no TV (hurray), or radio but the internet connection is patchy. This makes it difficult to use outside of the kitchen area. However, this is a minor reservation. Previously we have stayed in Manhatten and Williamsburg is more convenient for getting around than many of the places we have stayed. Try it.

  • Greg and Maria made us feel so very welcome in their beautiful home. Maria's assistant Azul was also just the perfect host and we had the most wonderful first wedding anniversary out in NYC because of it. We cannot thank yourselves enough and hope to return again soon! Very best to you all, Ali & Rob x

  • Fantastic apartment in a fantastic neigborhood! We totally loved the house and had a wonderful stay i New York. I will choose this Marias apartment again whenever our family is visiting NY again!

  • We loved the place, perfectly located, beautiful low-key loft. If you like the idea of an artist's loft, you'll love this space.

    Tyler2015-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • I had had Marias apartment on my Wish List for a very long time and it was everything I had hoped for. The apartment was exactly as in the pictures. We were just my husband and I, but we could easily have been up to 4 people. The kitchen was very charming and functioned well. The big bedroom had a really comfortable bed and it was quite at night, although the neighborhood was filled with lovely restaurants and cafes. It was very easy to get to Manhattan, just one stop away with the L train from Bedford Avenue. We spent most of our time in Brooklyn, shopping in the little shops, going to the Brooklyn Fleamarket and eating out. All communication with Maria was uncomplicated and it was a pleasure to meet Marias assistent Azul who made us feel very welcome.

  • The Cabin in the Sky fulfills my most important reason for using AirBnB--much more than "cheap housing," I'm looking for the experience of actually being a part of a community at the ground level, getting to know its ins and outs, and wondering, "could I live here?" This is definitely what Maria's place offers. We were in Williamsburg for a couple of concerts, and over four days we really got to know the neighborhood. You really couldn't ask for a better location: in addition to being close to tons of great eating/drinking establishments, you're a thirty-minute walk across the bridge into Manhattan. As for the "cabin" itself, it's full of charm and character. The living area and fireplace are super cozy and just the thing after a long day of tramping around the City. The bed was exceptional; I slept better in it than I had in months. The bathroom is a little rough around the edges, maybe too much for some. We had an issue with hot water our second day which resolved itself, and the Internet is spotty at best--we ended up using the hotspot on our cell phone. Overall, a solid AirBnb stay. I would probably stay here again and recommend it to anyone who wants an authentic Williamsburg experience.

Downtown, the best bit of Manhattan. One of, if not the, LARGEST space on Airbnb in NYC. Your Own PRIVATE Bathroom & PRIVATE Bedroom, a Terrace off the bedroom, near to subways/buses, restaurants, bars, real luxury right in the middle of things. Just read our 300+ 5-STAR REVIEWS and you will see why we are SUPER-HOSTS and why you will just love this place, like other guests, I promise. Si, hablo bien espanol, Français parlé assez bien.
Downtown Manhattan, .. just like you see it in the films. Only so much better in real life ! All the details are below so that will see all that you will experience on your trip to the Big Apple - there are lots of things you will love when you stay here, but PLEASE PLEASE (did I say please?) try to read all the way to the end of the description, including sleeping, information on the area, getting around and the frequently asked questions. I know it is a bit of a novel, but it is well worth it and, from experience, it makes sure you understand everything in detail and ensures you will have the best stay that you can. Anything at all that you are not sure about, if you are new to Airbnb for example, just ask and I will get back asap and clarify. • Very spacious loft apartment ( about 2000 sq feet, 188 sq m, at last measure - so very BIG for New York) in the center of arguably the coolest area of the city (please do not argue ), modern, minimalist furniture , very open, very clean, I take great pride in having a spotless living environment (that goes for the host too). A Massive space that gets flooded with light via a wall of windows. Just take a look at the pictures. High security. Walking distance to subways & museums. Friendly building and very safe neighborhood. • Your own PRIVATE bathroom - Large, spacious, with Jacuzzi Bath, Shower, Hairdryer, Kohler fixtures. Fresh towels etc. Fully-stocked. All the shampoo and things you will ever need. Just for you. • Your own PRIVATE bedroom - Queen Bed for 2, linens, towels, Large Flat Screen TV, Netflix, Amazon TV etc, Wardrobe. Again only for you. • Large kitchen - Open concept with an area to eat and with everything you need to design a gourmet feast, top of the line GE appliances, Microwave, Toaster, Kettle , Dishwasher, stainless steel counter top etc. Make any food you want - if it is really good, give me some. Make coffee there in the morning - always available -- you have your very own little coffee bar. • Very large living area, Real Fireplace, WiFi, Surround sound HDTV with HDMI hook-up and Roku TV, Bose sound system with iPhone/iPod hook-up, the best choice in music (in my opinion, most not consulted). Sit.... Enjoy • Large dining area - seats lots, great views over the city and over the Williamsburg Bridge. Eat foods mentioned above (probably while seated, although one can never be sure). • Natural brick walls (as opposed to unnatural I suppose) and a lovely Merbeau wooden floor, both of which look good (but don't say much). • Floor to ceiling windows throughout - bathed in sun (when the sun is out, mainly, of course) • Outside secluded seating area and balcony - you access directly from your room - very secluded (sometimes I cannot find it) • Full air conditioning / heating in the room and in rest of loft - be hot, be cool (most likely one at a time) • Bosch Washer and Dryer - for you to use - we like to reserve that for guests who stay for 3 nights or longer - being kind to the world too, we try to use cold water as well where possible. • Keyed Private elevator entrance directly into Loft - of course you have your own key (or stairs if u have the energy - does not seem so popular, strangely) • Printer / Scanner available. Pens and paper too, if you are a traditionalist.(although we draw the line at camel hair brushes, I'm sure you understand). And there is a universal power adapter for you to use to charge your gadgets too. • The building is a very smart development, a recently renovated 7-story apartment block with original brick facade, great views of the city skyline. Quiet, lovely, village feel, with parks and pedestrian areas just outside, but close enough to get anywhere very easily. I think I am allowed to say it is authentic. • This is a very large and comfortable space that you will be free to enjoy as you wish (this is your vacation after all). You will have lots of privacy if you wish and as well as the city, you have Books, Music (great as mentioned above), Roku TV with lots of channels and an online DVR and more .... or just relax and chat. Up to you. We provide the following publications too New York Times New York Magazine so you can feel a bit like a New Yorker • Located in the heart of the LES - food (some of the best in the city), drink, fun, shopping all very, very close. A very cool residential neighborhood just a short trip to all the action. Perfect location for exploring both sides of the river too, as very close to Brooklyn and Williamsburg. One of the most historic neighborhoods in the U.S. (perhaps the most). We are only a few minutes away from the walkway along the East River, it has a great view of the Brooklyn bridge and Manhattan Bridge. Nearly opposite the Tenement Museum (which is really great). TV, Film and general interest media all the time (become a star - or an extra anyway) ,music clubs and comedy left right and center and Alphabet City, Ludlow Street , East Village, Chinatown and Soho all in spitting distance - and I can not spit far. Direct Access to cabs just outside building. • Food shopping wise, it is 3 blocks from a Whole Foods and a couple of blocks from the Essex Street Market. Great food shopping if you want. I hope everything is covered - email if you need more information. I hope to see you soon and I hope I can be part of your visit to this unique place.
Best neighborhood in Manhattan for independent coffee shops, cozy wine bars, up-and-coming restaurants (the area has 4 out of the top 10 best places to eat in this years NY magazine list) , intimate music venues, and interesting owner-operated shops. Like no other area in the city. A very peaceful cool neighborhood, yet just a short trip to all the action. Check out the "Guidebook" with my listing -- I send a much longer one that I have written directly to guests that do decide to stay before they get here - and they love it, mention it often in their reviews and keep asking for extra copies!!
  • We were very satisfied with everyting, lokalisation, quiet, roomy, clean, very nice hosts. We will be back when next time in NYC. Pelle & Adrienne Saltsjö-Boo Sweden.

  • Wonderful! Fantastic! And that's just Carol and Marc! The lovely apt. feels like home, is comfortable, welcoming, immaculate and located in a great part of the city. Our hosts were accomodating and helpful in every way. A day in the city is topped off resting on the balcony under the stars and a comfortable bed! Can't wait to come and visit again!

  • Staying at Carol and Mark's place was absolutely great! Not only is the apartment comfortable, convenient and clean, it is also situated in one of the nicest neighborhoods in New York City: The Lower East Side. It’s a good base to explore Manhattan/NYC and it is filled with nice little restaurants and bars so you will never get bored. Carol and Mark are excellent hosts and they can tell you everything you need to know about New York City. Are you looking for a specific type of restaurant? Do you want to know where they sell limited edition Nike shoes? Or do you simply want to know how to get somewhere? Ask them, for they know almost everything! Also listen to their eating and drinking recommendations for they have pointed us at some great places we would have never found and enjoyed on our own. Concluding we can say we had the best of times staying at this apartment and would definitely recommend it to everybody. Raoul and Marnix (The Netherlands)

    Dominique2013-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely 8 night stay with Carol and Marc. Their appartment is even better than in the photos. Our double room had plenty of storage space and the bed was really comfy. They even changed the sheets and towels mid way through our stay. The bathroom was very clean, big, stylish and we had it all to ourselves. Wifi connection was also great throughout the flat. The location of the flat is perfect. Lots of interesting shops, cafes, bars and good coffee are nearby as well as Essex Market (fresh fruit, cereal, milk, etc). There are subway stations for 3 different lines within 5 minutes walk and SOHO, little Italy, china town and Nolita are all within 10-15 minutes walk. Carol and Marc were extremely helpful with tips and advice and would readily offer their opinions and personal experiences. We couldn't have asked for better hosts and would happily stay there again. Chris and Isabel

  • The accommodation was fantastic, just as described in a good loation and very comfortable with plenty of space. Carol and Marc were great hosts giving us any space we needed but making us feel welcome in their home and really easy to get along with. The inside information on the area and New York in general ensured that we got the most out of our short time there and the friendly conversations just completed the holiday for us. We certainly recommend staying here.

Cozy, warm atmosphere, perfect for the traveler looking for a real NY experience. This reservation is for one person. Best neighborhood in midtown Manhattan for the best price. In the hub of Hell's Kitchen nightlife, restaurants, theaters, museums. This is a smoking apartment.
Bedroom is small, but very comforting. Kitchen is HUGE with tons of sunlight and every spice you can imagine for all you chefs. Very easy going apartment- smoking is perfectly fine. Part of the apartment is an art workshop. Bathroom is large with skylight. Apartment is in back of the building, so the apartment is very quiet. An oasis in midtown. This reservation is for one guest.
Hell's kitchen is THE center of the entire city. Some of the best and affordable restaurants in the city, with any type of cuisine you could want. The apartment is walk able to virtually any subway line in the city. The neighborhood is in the center of the arts, with Times Square, Broadway theaters, and Central Park a stone's throw away. A vibrant nightlife and artist community with a neighborhood feel. Anything you're looking for is here!

Furthermore it was very good located in a safe area (10 min. walk to Times Square) and the subway stations is very near too. Jeffrey was very kind and helped me whenever I needed a good advise. He offered a delicious breakfast in the mornings. He was the best host I could ask for. Extremely hospitable, friendly, considerate, kind... he goes above and beyond for his guests, and really makes them feel at home. I will definitivly choose his place again when I visit NY next time. I really recommend this place! I would stay again with Jeffrey in a heartbeat. Thanks Jef!

This is a comfortable studio apartment with exposed brick that has a true city feeling. This studio has a newly renovate bathroom and kitchen with stain steel appliances. The space fits four and is centrally located on a Historic quiet street. This unit is loaded with cable and wifi. Just blocks away from public transportation A and G train lines. And minutes away from the bus route B25 B26 and the B44. Come and explore the charm of Bed-Stuy and all the Historic's. I love this neighborhood.
    What
This historic section of Brooklyn is home to some of the most magnificent brownstones streets in the world, with charming architectural landmarks. There so many new restaurants and bars popping up in the area such as Peaches,Hot house,Royals, Saraghina, and Gallery.
  • The accuracy of the listing is almost exactly as it is posted. Most single bedrooms or studios will normally only have one bed. But for Michelle's home, she has an extra pull-out couch that was definitely useful. I think the only negative is that the flat is not fully soundproofed. But this is typical for most homes in this area. We dealt with this just fine as we weren't too tucked up in the home for long.

    Simon2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Michelle for a wonderful stay! The space was clean and comfortable. We were a family of four and found the location to be just right for us. Lots of eateries and shops around the corner. And the train is only a couple blocks away. Will definitely stay with Michelle again!

    Priscila2017-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was great, and Michelle consistently went out of her way to be helpful. A great airbnb experience!

  • This is a very comfortable apartment, close to different subway stops. Communication with Michelle was very smooth and fast. She is a very nice host, who goes out of her way to help you. We had a great time!

  • This space was great! She was very accommodating to us. I felt very at home the pictures are accurate. It's decorated very pretty. Not a far walk from the subway. She had a response right away for me for anything I asked. Store is right on the corner for anything you need. The space is very clean. I would recommend that anyone stay here. Thank you Michelle you were so wonderful!

  • super cute place and michelle was very friendly and accommodating with check in/out. highly recommend!

    kaia2017-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Michelle's Studio was the best we've had so far through the portal. Michelle went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was comfortable- it never felt like we were guests, we were treated as friends. The house is very well equipped (new kitchen appliances, bathroom fixtures, etc.) and spotless. The apartment is well located- lots of shops and restaurants in the vicinity, and the subway station is about a 7-8 minute walk away. If you're planning to hang around Manhattan-Brooklyn, and want a warm and comfy environment to stay in, Michelle's home is definitely the place to book.

  • Apartment is in a great location. Communication with Katherine was effective. Check-in was easy. Very loud neighbours. Apartment not very clean, especially the bathroom (hairs, mold) and bed linen. Late Check-out was confirmed, but in the evening before, it was cancelled

  • Great neighborhood, Katherine was gentle and practical... Nice place to visit NY

    Benjamín2016-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Katherine was a terrific host. Very welcoming and quick to respond to my messages. Her beautiful apartment is modern, clean, comfortable and exactly as described. The location was convenient to the subway and I easily traveled to and from business meetings without a hitch. Plenty of restaurants, grocery stores and a Duane Reade (Walgreens) around the corner. I highly recommend this studio apartment.

    Olga2016-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was in a perfect location for us. We didn't want a small hotel room in midtown, we wanted a spacious room in a cool area which is exactly where this apartment was. Ludlow street is the right amount of busy and a decent amount of restaurants and bars, it was also very close to the subway which we used a lot. On our first night we walked to williamsburg to see one of our favourite bands. Take a wander on your first day around the lower east side and you'll find lots of cool places. The apartment itself was lovely and comfortable, only thing is I was expecting it to be cleaner. Just loved the location so much!

    Susan2016-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place was fantastic!! Top to bottom, wall to wall, stove to toilet, we absolutely loved our stay! Getting the keys was super easy. The place was clean and had a very chill vibe. The neighborhood is great! We didn't want to leave. Seriously, we researched squatter rights as we considered taking over the apartment! Definitely recommend Sunny Gem!

  • We loved it here. Our host was very responsive as we were getting ready to arrive and warm and welcoming. The space was clean, beautiful and comfortable and our only surprises were good ones, like the fresh espresso beans and the cool chandelier. Fun neighborhood. I'll stay here anytime I'm in NYC.

  • I do not believe that my fellow family members and myself could have received a warmer and more informative welcoming tour than we were given. We were greeted outside the door, guided into and up the elevator and then shown about the apartment and all of it's unique splendour. We all felt as though we have been given a very open armed introduction to the community that we resided in during our stay in Tribeca, New York. Cafes and restaurants dotted around the area were convenient and of a very nice quality, heightening our enjoyment. Almost all systems and technologies were effective within the apartment; I must admit that my favourite aspects were heating that I could escape into from the bitter cold and high speed wifi!

  • Perfect Host. Very Professional, nice and responsive. Apartment is great! Thank you so much! We need more hosts like Chester & Jon on Airbnb.

  • This loft is everything you could hope for in Tribeca, we enjoyed our stay very much and warmly recommend it

  • We had a wonderful time in this beautiful apartment. It was full of light and space with a great kitchen and lovely bathrooms. Very clean... and everything we needed was provided. It made our trip to New York and was the best base imaginable to come back to each day. We would love to stay again when we next come to NYC. A huge thank you to the hosts for making it such a great trip.

  • Wonderful stay. The apartment is everything that is shown in the pictures: clean, spaciuous, modern. I wish I had this kitchen back home! The air conditioner worked great, in very warm climate. We were a group of 6 adults and one child, and slept very comfortably. Chester was very friendly and helpful in every respect, always available either by text or phone call. The location was fantastic as a base to tour lower Manhattan. I would recommend it to anyone.

  • Thanks to Chester and Jon for a wonderful weekend! I hosted a bachelorette party in NYC and this was the perfect spot. Friday night we made dinner in the incredible kitchen, which was well stocked with everything we needed to cook. Chester and Jon made the process easy and the place is even more beautiful in person. Location can't be better!

    Allison2016-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Chester and Jon were so wonderful during our stay this summer! We could not have been happier with the apartment as well! Jon met us when we arrived and helped us get settled in! They were so accommodating! We had our new 2 month old baby and our little dog with us, and they made sure we had everything we needed. They were very friendly and our dog even made friends with their dog :) The apartment is in a great location as well! We will be coming back to NYC a lot in the future and we hope to stay at Chester and Jon's place!

Located right off of 30th avenue, next to more cafes, pizzerias, and restaurants, including my own, S & J Grocery, feel free to yelp me! I will make breakfast, and dinner for you. You can eat it in your room, the living room, or even one of the two fire escapes over looking the trees and the city. A Moroccan style home, serving Moroccan food and even show you a bit of the culture as well when you stay here, with the company of two very sweet and loving cats as well. I would love to be your host!

  • She is a very kind person She seems to welcome you at any time

    Sato2017-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed my stay at Rhita's, she was a warm and welcoming host and provided some tasty authentic Moroccan food for breakfast which was great! The apartment was located near the train station, with a subway line going directly into Manhattan. The neighbourhood was quiet and friendly, and the room was clean and tidy. The room has a privacy curtain instead of a door, but due to the placement of the room I didn't find this much of an issue at all, especially given how friendly the host is! The place felt very Moroccan and the cats were very friendly! Ideal for solo travellers for a few days.

  • This is my very first airbnb experience and Joe has made it wonderful for me. The room is clean and comfortable. I slept very well. What's more, Joe is so helpful and kind hearted, he communicated with me a few days prior to my arrival, told me how to get to his house and he is so thoughtfully, prepare everything that you may need in the room, like iPhone recharge cable, adapter, and even a sound machine to help you sleep well... Anyway I had a very good stay with the help of Joe

    Benny2015-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Joe's apartment for about a week: bed was comfy, room was clean and Joe was super helpful. Had a great time in Harlem; definitely safer than we had assumed. The apartment is on a main street so there's a bit of noise pollution. Expected the bathroom to be a bit cleaner, but could be the cause of other house guests.

    Judy2013-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • Joe is a 5 star host, nice person and very helpful. Thanks for the plugs and subway map and your tips :) cheers, Anita

  • Joe was above and beyond as a host. Superb!

    Tim2013-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • Joe is a very great host. He helped me in every aspect of the trip...since helping with my bags to showing me the great spots on NYC. The room was really clean and organized and the neighborhood is very good (pharmacy and market on a two blocks distance and nearby two subway station). I highly recommend Joes for a NY trip.

    Caio2015-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Joe is a wonderful host. He is flexible and accommodating. Room is cozy and the bed is super comfy. I slept so well especially while listening to the sound of the rain on the provided sound machine. I come to the city for work and get a restful recuperative sleep between shifts at Joe's. I will continue to come back to his place time and time again.

    Renee2015-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Joe is great guy, really kind to us and when we need advice he is always helpful. No problems with apartman and it is close to city center.

    Barbora2014-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Joe was an amazing host: He replied to all questions immediately, he helped us carrying our luggage up the stairs, he provided us with great breakfast, he really cared about everything! Definitely the best host I've ever stayed at! The whole place is nice and clean and the bed is really comfortable. When we return to New York, we will definitely stay here again - even though we were there for only one night, it was truly the best service that we could get, even better than at a five star hotel. Staying with Joe is highly recommendable!

Private Room located on w 30th st right near Penn station.
My space offers a private bedroom in my 2 bedroom apartment. The room has tv and the apartment has WIFI. I have 2 dogs, Bell ( 14 yo) and Desdemona (5 yo). Most mornings I make coffee and breakfast (some days it's not possible due to time/work constraints). I work from home and I'm available to assist with travel details and or reservations as needed. The apartment is located on 30th street between 8th and 9th Ave. Penn Station is a block away. The A, C, and E trains are just up the street on 8th Ave and 33rd St. The location is a perfect starting point to experience NYC. The "Highline Park" entrance is straight down 30th St. If you're driving here, there are 2 parking garages on the block (you may want to check for coupons online before parking) . There are way too many things to see and do to list here... it's NYC. Feel free to contact me with any questions. -Lee
  • Lee was super nice, made me breakfast, and his place was in a great location a few blocks from Penn Station.

    Kimika2014-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • My stay with Lee was GREAT. Great location. Great host. Great chef. Great adviser of places to visit in New York. Great pet "dad" to two wonderful dogs. Great sense of humor. Great fun to be with. I look forward to a return visit. Doug W.

    Douglas2013-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • The place couldn't be much closer to Penn Station and seemed perfectly safe (for this small town guy). Room was very quiet and comfortable. Lee is pretty much the ideal personality for this type of stay. He'll let you be if you want, will offer you food if you want, and if you are in the mood for a conversation he is a smart and interesting guy to talk to. I came and went at all hours and Lee accommodated it all easily.

    Gary2012-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay, perfect location.

    Pascale2017-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lee was certainly great host. He welcomed us warmly and every morning there was a well throughout breakfast. We felt very comfortable staying there. The location was good for us as we like Chelsea a lot based on our previous visits to the big Apple.

    Ernest 2015-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lee is a warm and gracious host who goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome. The room is clean and comfortable, with clean sheets, towels, and the requisite bathroom amenities (small bottles of shampoo and lotion). The dogs are friendly and quiet. And Lee, a former restaurant chef, makes a great breakfast that is a great start to the day.

    Jim2015-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • The host canceled my reservation 9 days before arrival.

    Musthaq2011-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Lee was a kind and hospitable host, low key and easy going. It's an advantage he works from home as it makes check-in really straightforward. Belle the dog was also very charming! The accommodations are basic, but the bed is very comfortable and the room is insulated from all street noises- I slept very well. Things weren't quite as clean and sparkly as the photos show, but it's a real home, "not a palace" (in Lee's words). I would stay again.

  • My experience at Roberts place was a great one. Enjoyed a private, well decorated room where I felt safe and the bed was super comfortable! Great neighborhood, very easy to get into the city by subway. I never got to meet Robert and wish I did so I could have said thank you. Great place! Will stay here again.

  • Rob was a gracious host, the room was perfectly set up upon my arrival and everything was clean. The backyard deck is gorgeous, with honeysuckels that smell amazing. He was available at any point that I needed him and he gave great direction. The proximity to the subway was perfect for me, under 15 minutes I was close to everything that I needed to be.

  • Spent 3 nights there. The place is as described. Easy to find, about $23 with uber pool from JFK and $16 with uber x to LGA. N/Q trains are one block away, and then its only 20mins to Time Square. The apaetment is also close to main Astoria street with bunch of cafés and restaraunts after a busy day in downtown New York. The place itself is very clean, easy check-in and check-out procedure. Robert was there everyday to clean it up. Great host and communication was excellent. Highly recommended to stay there if planning to visit NYC.

Petunia's Public House is an immaculate NYC Loft like apartment. Right on the hip border of Bushwick Brooklyn & Ridgewood Queens. Perfect location to experience the city like a local. Amenities in your room: key entry, full size bed, down comforter, fresh linens, towels, bath products, 4 pillows, empty closet, hangers, windows, blackout curtains & WIFI.
Petunias Public House is on the hip Bushwick Brooklyn, Ridgewood Queens border. This area is famous for its massive graffiti installations by The Bushwick Collective & every type of food you could imagine. Tons of bars & restaurants in the area to go out & enjoy or order in. The space itself is large with 1.5 baths, full efficient kitchen, 2 story entry & living room with wood chandeliers. It also boasts hardwood floors, exposed brick, wood beams, exposed duct work, central AC/Heat, marble bathroom, rooftop with NYC views & so much more! The L & M NYC Subway Station is right outside your door.
Time Out New York quote " Boomer Brigman is Ridgewood's self described biggest cheerleader. "I feel like I'm a part of the start of something fresh and new" he continues. He's a fan of all the new bars like Milo's Yard, Bad Old Days, Aunt Ginny's, Windjammers & The Footlight. He loves the local bakery Norma's (Ridgewood Fog tea is his favorite) Boomer describes the hood as a perfect mix of old and new, quiet yet hip. It's not streamlined or mainstreamed, yet. As for the negatives in his neighborhood they are positive. "My favorite part is when I try to tell people about it and they have no idea what I'm talking about but maybe that's a good thing." "
  • My experience here was wonderful! Boomer was so accommodating and thoughtful and the space is nothing short of perfect and welcoming. I was able to get into Union Square in under 25 mins during rush hour. I very much appreciated the calm and clean environment. A huge thanks to Boomer for your kindness, attention to detail, and warm welcome.

  • This Air Bob is what you need. Trust me they take great care of you. They noticed I had a bad mood and made me a cheese plate. Which turned everything around. Very fun and chill place all in one. If you want your space they give it to you. If you want to talk they are there. So much good energy. The location has 2 trains within a couple blocks. Safe neighborhood. Plenty of near by stores. So happy I picked this place and when I come back. TRUST me I'll be here. Xoxo

  • This lovely abode was above and beyond what I expected from the moment I arrived until my (reluctant) last day!!! The place was so clean and Boomer is an amazing host and very accommodating!!! I would definitely stay here again!!!

    Nick2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • I initially had reservations about my reservation at Boomer's place because I am not familiar with New York, and only had stayed in the Times Square area when I traveled to New York on business previously. This time I was traveling with my wife for our anniversary, and was hopeful that it would be a safe and clean neighborhood. Boomer absolutely exceeded our expectations. As a former concierge, he clearly understands what hospitality is all about. The unit is warm and welcoming, impeccably clean, and smells outstanding. The room, while a bit tight for two to be changing clothes at the same time, had an extremely comfortable bed with high thread count sheets, and a mattress that you sink into (it may be memory foam, but I am not expert on those matters). There was an end table and a chair to hold our things, and Boomer made it clear that we could use the living room and kitchen as much as we wanted. The bathroom is also not enormous, but very nicely appointed with a comfortable full bathtub/shower with nice water pressure. Here, as throughout the rest of the unit, Boomer maximizes the space with a variety of great smelling body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. While we did not insist, I believe he may have even changed the sheets each night, and provided us with clean linens each day. As far as the neighborhood is concerned, we did not spend much time in the surrounding area, but our walks to and from the apartment to the subway were pleasant, and we felt safe at all times. It seems to be a nice, diverse working class area with a bit of young professionals and artsy types starting to move in. There is a nice outdoor area with tables and food stands right near the Wyckoff stop on the L train where we had our morning coffee before heading into Manhattan each morning. My compliments to a fantastic host. I would encourage anyone who is visiting New York looking for an authentic experience, does not want to pay downtown prices, and is willing to commute a bit to do their sightseeing to give Petunia's Public House a shot. If you're like us, you certainly won't be disappointed. Thanks again Boomer, and best of luck in the future!

    Jeff2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Boomer is a very friendly host and very accommodating! He is always patient to answer our questions. Moreover, the roof is amazing! You must spend more time being there!

  • Boomer is a great person and Host. The house is always clean, and is located near a metro station. I love this place is very comfortable and Boomer make you feel like you are in home!! :)

    Guishy2017-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Very good value for money and great location. A short walk to the L train which gets you directly into the heart of Manhattan. It also meant I was able to travel by subway from JFK which saved on a cab fare. The standard is in keeping with the photos posted which is much more that I would expect for the price asked. I was able to get into the property easily and the host was on the end of the phone as required. Would happily of stayed longer had I needed. Thanks again!

    Christopher2017-09-28T00:00:00Z
Si regreso a NYC será mi primera opción.

  • If you are visiting new york this apartment is an awesome place to stay. The location is amazing, surrounded by bars, shops and restaurants. The fact that Times Square is only a 5 min walk is an extra bonus. The apartment is comfortable and has full use of all the amenities advertised. Jill was a great host and very quick to respond to any queries.

    james2017-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jill's location was excellent, my family enjoyed how close it was to Times Square along with central park. Great restaurants within a two block radius. Apartment had a cozy feel but big enough for 6. Clean and pretty quiet for manhattan. Would stay again but longer and enjoy the area.

  • If you want to be within walking distance of time square, Central Park, a TON of food and everything else THEN THIS IS YOUR SPOT!! Jill was amazing, great communication!! Her home was perfect for our party of eight (4 adults 4 kids). WE WILL BE BACK! Thank you Jill!!

  • Very good location. Near great attractions. My partner and I went to a Broadway show just a block away from the apartment. We found it to be very safe in the neighborhood to walk in the late night. Apartment had everything we needed from towels, linen and toiletries. Jill is an awesome host. She communicated with us via Airbnb messier with in a short time frame. I plan to come here again next month.

    Ava2017-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Hands down this was my best airbnb experience. The apartment is walking distances from many main attractions in Manhattan including, time square, Central Park, broadway shows and many tasty restaurants and bars! My fav restaurant was a small Turkish Restaurant on 49th street and 9th ave called #1 Instabul. Commuting was super convenient as the apartment is two blocks from the subway station. I didn't have to worry about tugging my luggage far, thank goodness. The apartment is clean and spacious. The master bedroom has lots of closet space and a view of the city streets. (We didn't use the junior room). The apt size is great for large groups (although we we a small group). Jill attended to all of our needs and was very helpful when we had questions. Overall, I recommend this place to everyone, especially if you're looking to be in the city center.

Sunny, master bedroom with own private bathroom in brownstone duplex in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. There is also a private deck adjoining the bedroom. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the bathroom has a clawfoot tub and double, tempered glass sinks. The bedroom is 15'x17'and air-conditioned. Fiber-optic Wi-Fi is available from anywhere within the apartment. There is a chef's kitchen downstairs that is shared with two other people. There is a French, gourmet deli on the corner which is kind of pricey but is very good. There are also many restaurants in the area, many of which are located on DeKalb Ave. G train to Clinton/Washington, two blocks away. Forty minutes from Central Park and Times Sq., 30 minutes from Greenwich Village/NYU, a 20-minute walk to Brooklyn Museum or Brooklyn Academy of Music and a 25-minute walk to Prospect Park. Very close to Fort Greene, Williamsburg, Barclays Stadium, The Brooklyn Flea and Pratt. Also, the house is along the route of the NYC Marathon. Parking is available on the street or in lots in the neighborhood. G-train or A-train to Clinton/Washington
Very eclectic, mixed neighborhood. Nice energy
  • The Master Bedroom w Ensuite Bathroom was a very nice stay, the room was very clean and spacious. I would recommend staying here. Waldemar was a great host and very helpful.

    Kevin2012-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • The room is charming, clean, and spacious. It's located 1 block away from G train subway, supermarket is also near by. The host was very nice and helpful. Over all it was very good experience.

    Mikiko2012-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was a really great base for my NYC holiday. The location couldn't have been better. Within 1 block is a coffee shop, a good grocery store, a Citi bike station and the surprisingly useful G train. The G train is good for Wburg, Park Slope MOMA PS1, and even for midtown. Waldemar was a very nice host and was available at all times. He also had World cup and Wimbledon on which was good for getting updates. The room was spacious and comfortable. Even on 95+ days the room was bearable with the fan on. The bathroom is very nice, and the small outdoor deck was perfect for breakfasts each morning. The only thing I think everyone should be aware of is that there is very little acoustic privacy between this room and the neighboring room and also with the rest of the house. My girlfriend and I wanted to make *ahem* noise. We didn't really feel comfortable doing that and had to keep a lid on it. If you too are traveling as a couple you'll want to know this before you book...

    Adam Mackey2014-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • The room is huge and beautiful. Waldemar was so sweet and welcoming; helpful to point out directions, flexible and available upon our unplanned late arrival, and a great in conversation. Highly recommended!

    Sebastian2015-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Neighborhood was interesting with lots of great small shops around the corner to eat and/or have a coffee. It's certainly diverse, but still hasn't reached that hipster quality that places like Park Slope or Williamsburg have. The picture is exactly the room; the house, though old, is architecturally beautiful, with high ceilings. LOVED the terrace. Waldemar was always around and he engaged in conversation if you wanted to converse, or left you alone if you didn't want to. I had a car and had no problems finding a spot. Bed was also comfortable. And hot evenings, you had the option of using a ceiling fan or air conditioner. (I opted for the fan.)

    Sabrina2014-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • great place, lovely host, and air conditioning! I was there during the July heat wave. I was out and about in the day time and coming home to sleep in a cool room was delightful. I have a son and his family a 13 min. walk from Xavier's place. I loved the area and felt part of the community rather than the hotel scene which can be more separated from the real feel of the community. I would definitely stay there again. Madhavii Shirman

    Madhavii2011-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • After reading all the comments, I was confident our stay at Waldemar's would go well. Great Brooklyn location (1.5 minute walk to the subway!) and parking space in the street, cute area, nice little café at the corner. The room was spacious and clean and Waldemar was kind enough to let us in very late at night. I would recommend his place without hesitation.

    Tatiana2013-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful experience staying in this Brooklyn airbnb while visiting our daughter who recently moved to Clinton Hill. . Clean, welcoming and convenient to all neighborhoods. Waldemar couldn't have been more gracious and helpful. I recommend this air bnb.

  • I stayed at Yuli's place with my best friend on our roadtrip. Her place is really easy to find and we were able to park our car on the streets where is was perfectly safe! There are a few bus stops nearby to go to NYC and a great outlet also a bus drive away. Our room was comfortable and clean. Defo recommend staying here if you want to visit NYC and don't mind commuting by bus or Uber.

Stay on the Williamsburg waterfront in Brooklyn's hottest neighborhood, with a million dollar view of the Manhattan skyline. Beautiful private room in apartment, one block from an organic market, and near public transportation and nearby parks.
YES, We Live Here. YES, there is a Cat. NO, this is not a Hotel. NO, You CANNOT have a Party or invite a bunch of friends over!!! ***All bad reviews come from people that don not understand the above so please read the description completely. Thank you : ) *** Close to everything great in Williamsburg. Beautiful kitchen and bathroom with a million dollar view of the Manhattan skyline. This is a 3 bedroom (1 bathroom) apartment. We live in two of the rooms and host Airbnb travelers like yourself in the other. You’ll be in one of the best locations in all of NYC - close to the L and JMZ subway stations (each one stop from Manhattan) to get you anywhere in the city. This is a renovated building in a prime Williamsburg loft location on the corner of South 4th Street and Kent Ave (every window in the apartment has views of the Williamsburg Bridge, the East River and Empire State Building). This is a lockable room with a full-sized bed, which can comfortably accommodate 1 or 2 people. This room doesn't have a window to the outside, only to the common area. Williamsburg is the artistic and cultural center of Brooklyn, with some of the best music and nightlife in NYC. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, boutique stores, music venues, and everything else you can possibly desire close by. The area is very safe. You'll be within walking distance to the Bedford L & the Marcy JMZ subway stops, from which the entire city will be easily accessible to you. On a nice day, you can also walk or ride a bike over the Williamsburg bridge into downtown Manhattan. We always provide a clean room, with fresh sheets and towels for every guest. The bathroom has a hair dryer and is stocked with basic supplies. You’re welcome to use anything in the kitchen, bathroom, or common areas of the apartment. Must be ok with pets since there is 1 cat that lives here as well. The cat is very friendly, and keeps to himself mostly and won't go in your room. Let me know if you have any additional questions or if there's anything I can help you with. Would be thrilled to host you for an authentic Brooklyn experience.
It's an amazing place with everything you'd need and want to experience within a walking distance from the apartment.
  • I really liked my experience at Anthony's place. The apartment is perfectly located in Brooklyn and there are very nice restaurants and bars around. (Special mention to the Freehold, if you want to work during the day). The apartment is nice and well decorated (fitting the picture). I would highly recommend this place for a 1 person trip !

    Mathieu2016-02-14T00:00:00Z

  • Tj was a great host, he welcomed me with a text letting me know there would be tacos at the apartment and I was invited to join. I felt so relaxed, and it was easy to talk to them. Everythjng was set up nice and I felt at home. I got great recommended places to have coffee, even though I ended up having some coffee at the apartment. It was clean, bed was comfortable, everyone was quiet and respectful, very pleasant stay. Only 10 min walk to the L train and 5-10 min walk to Bedford where many restaurants and shopping are. I'd definitely stay there again. Great view of the Williamsburg Bridge as well:).

    Kathleen2016-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Anthony's place was perfect for our weekend trip to Brooklyn for a wedding that took place down the street. He made arrival arrangements easy and the accommodations were as expected by the listing info.

    Amy2016-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Apartment was excellent; I didn't actually bump into Anthony with our different schedules, but I felt very welcomed and had everything needed. Cat also very sociable. Would stay again!

    Joe2016-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Anthony was great to work with. The communication was very clear and easy. We had no trouble finding and getting into the apartment; Anthony was very flexible regarding check in and check out times. We are vegetarians, and he offered advice by text on places we might try, but we didn't figure it out before our arrival. Anthony and his roommate arrived after we were already in bed. They were super quiet and we never heard them come in. It would have been nice to meet in person, as we had never been in Brooklyn before and ended up trying to puzzle out how to get around the next morning. We never discovered the cool stuff to do in the neighborhood, although it sounds like there is a nice scene nearby. The view is amazing and the apartment surprising quiet given the proximity to the bridge. Comfy room, nice thick towels. Thanks for sharing your beautiful place with us!

Many Union City residents are pleasantly hospitable and great hosts unlike our municipality we invite you to come and enjoy our safe city thanks not only to our Mayor.
My place makes all feel at home. I want to make sure you feel welcome, free, cared for and provided with a few extra things than the essentials that you have booked for. The pricing you see posted already includes a discount of 15% or more when you Instant book directly without me having to approve you. Once booked I will email you almost immediately accepting your booking. It is biblical for a host to make sure its guest, guest's loved ones and guest's belongings are respected and cared for during the stay, it is also natural for me doing so. Please know that I am not hosting my city or New York City (with little Italy, Chinatown etc) nor the street where my property sits on in Union City or our mostly Spanish speaking people and I am accurately not hosting my humble looking building nor my home. What I am hosting is a comfortable and clean place to sleep in, shower, eat and wi-fi work from. I love my city, the street or the location where I am at, so close to NYC, between 10 and 20 minutes without traffic to Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan and I hope you get to love it too.
Is a great place to live here in Union City, New Jersey with NYC tourism and business close by. I own this property since 2003 Our city and surrounding areas are full of restaurants, nighttime hotspots and public parks easy to find online.

  • I can't say enough about how nice my stay always is as a return guest. I'll try, though :) Marlon is a great friend so gracious and nice! His home is in a great location - a quiet residential area that is a safe and easy walk to buses and restaurants. Convenient to NYC. He has a home that is clean and charming, with a nice immaculate bathroom and a very comfortable bed. I enthusiastically recommend Marlon's home for your next stay and I'll absolutely return in the future.

  • Our experience with Marlon exceed our expectations, he filled a hole we had on our itinerary with the introduction of the neighborhood, picture taking at a park with a stunning view of the entire Manhattan from an elevated area in Jersey and he drove us thru the Union City neighborhood down to Hoboken. The room was very clean with everything promised on his description, we even found a couple of iced cold beers to welcome us which we shared with Marlon. The 5 days we spent in NY we were out the whole day but we knew that our belongings were safe. It was a great experience and we highly recommend his place.

    Giuseppe2016-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Marlon was very welcoming and was very nice to me and my girlfriend. He gave us a quick tour of the place and made us feel very comfortable in his home. He was always there ready to assist you if you have any problems and concerns during your stay. Thank you Marlon! Until next time!

  • Nada's place was very nice and and cost effective. As a helpful hint to any future tenants, the bus stops that are just around the corner are amazing! There is no need to walk to the nearest subway, when you can take the bus. My family and I literally felt like we were authentic New Yorkers during our stay with Nada. The neighborhood, even though it looked like it may have been some place you wouldn't want to be after dark, was overall very safe, the neighbors were nice and everyone pretty much kept to themselves. There were only a few downsides about the apartment, none of which were the fault of Nada. I am thinking that the previous tenants left the doors open, because there were mosquitos and flies inside the apartment, however, like I said, it was of no fault of Nada. Additionally, the cleaning person that cleaned prior to our check in was not so thorough; however, it was not bad. Overall, my family and I had a blast on our vacation and would love to stay with Nada again. Nada responded very quickly to all of my inquiries and kept me informed every step of the way. I would like to reiterate, that the very few flaws of the apartment were of no fault of Nada and was due to previous tenants and maybe a less than receptive cleaning person.

    Jeremy2016-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my time in Nada's space. The apartment is amazing and so cute! I appreciated the welcome folder and information being readily available upon my arrival.

  • Nada's appartment is the perfect place to stay in New York. Affordable and very well located (closed to public transit you can easily go to Manhattan with easy and free parking if you have a car), we had a great time staying there. Kitchen and bedrooms are confortable and having a back yard is really a plus!

  • This was my very first Airbnb experience and I had a great time. Nada's apartment is very modern and updated. I absolutely love the decor. Photos and description are accurate. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you'll need. Bedrooms are comfortable. Nada lives in the upstairs apartment but you have total privacy and your own private entrance. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe. Highly recommend and would book again next time I visit Brooklyn.

  • Great house! Nice neighbourhood. 10 to 15 minute walk and you'r in the subway to Manhatten. Can't find any reason why i wouldn't visit again.

  • The apartment really is no frills. As it's a basement flat it's very dark. It wasn't the cleanest when we arrived but nada was a great host and very good at communicating. If u want a base for New York it's fine but you won't want to hang at apartment. It takes about an hour to get into central New York by metro. But the area is nice. All in all good for what we wanted.

    Molly2017-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely apartment in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. There are some interesting places to get both breakfast and dinner close by. We tried Ma'n'pop and Marys cafe, which where both affordable and good for pancakes and french toast. The metro is a 15 minute walk away, which is OK. Takes around 35-40 minutes to uptown Manhattan. The apartment is nice and comfortable. The second bedroom is smaller than the master, but it is comfortable for another two people. The main problem in winter is the windy crack under the back door, which makes the second bedroom freezing cold. The rest of the apartment is well temperated. All in all, a good way to visit manhatten on a budget.

It's a beautiful day in Brooklyn!! This lovely home is a true Brooklyn experience! Located in vibrant BedStuy on the border of Williamsburg. Metro on the next block gives you easy access to Manhattan, Brooklyn Bridge and JFK airport.
Make yourself at home! At your disposal is a comfortable lounge and dining area, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen that are cleaned professionally every day. Your room has a comfortable double bed, as well as your own air conditioner to combat the hot NY summers.
Bedford-Stuyvesant, popularly known as Bed-Stuy (sounds like: Bed-Sty), is located in central Brooklyn and nudges up against ultra-hip Williamsburg. A historic neighborhood that boasts both pristine brownstones and unkempt storefronts, generations-old Bed-Stuy residents share their streets with newcomers and hip kids. Bed-Stuy's tight-knit community's dedication to their neighborhood continues to support improvements as renovating bars and cafes increasingly join its cadre of locally-owned businesses.
  • Homeowners well we arrived the room was very clean and the kitchen very well hope the next time we will live here

  • I had a great first stay in Brooklyn - made easier by Wes' awesome apartment. Check in and out was so easy, the place had a great common area, and the room was big enough that I didn't feel claustrophobic (and had enough space to unpack a bit). The proximity to a train station made it super easy to get around / into Manhattan. We didn't see Wes much (we were hardly in the apartment), but he seemed like a nice, helpful guy!

    Romi2015-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay! Although we didn't spend too much time chatting with other residents, they were very very friendly and welcoming. Our room was beautifully made and the entire apartment was very clean. Definitely recommend!

    Makaylah2015-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • The house has very great location and Wes is very helpful. When I came there, the gas and shower had some problem though...I had to take a cold shower instead. Wes's home is clean and nice.

  • Nice small place and easy to travel to other areas

    Kasidit2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • It was a nice place to stay. it was very close to public transportation and there are many places to eat nearby. the only issue was the towel situation .she only provided a drying towel and not a face or body towels ,so if you plan on staying there you might want to bring those. Other than that it was a very nice stay and I would definitely recommend staying at Emily's place

    orlanda2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my husband were staying in room C. The room was clean and ready for us. Unfortunately, as it says that apartment is clean professionally the ventilation in the bathroom has so much dust you can measure it with the ruler because its that thick. I am not sure if the owner is aware that the apartment has MOUSE living in the kitchen, so don't get scared if you see one! Moreover, the owner knew that it is two of us, however we were only provided with one towel, so make sure you take some extra with you just in case. We notified the owner to provide us with another towel, but we never got anything from her not even a message. Our roommate that was renting a room on the third floor had to leave in the middle of the night because the light kept turning off and his AC would not work properly. The location wise it is very close to G train at least that was good. Overall i would not suggest this place, it is better to pay a little extra and get something with parking spot, because if you will arrive late the chances of you finding a parking spot is close to 0.

  • Rocio & Jimmy are very nice couple. The room is as advertised, clean and beautiful. Being able to use the Wi-Fi and the PC was great. The house is in safe neighbourhood. It takes 10 mins to walk to the subway station. I enjoyed my stay. Thanks Rocio & Jimmy!

  • Rocio and Jimmy were so nice and accommodating. Enduring we could have needed they were more than willing to help out. Our flights were delayed and they stayed up to let us in. They also helped us we were leaving town even when we weren't staying there.

  • My wife and I stayed at Jimmy & Rocio's place for our first Airbnb experience ever and it was a great one! :) Both of them were super sweet and accommodating. Jimmy gave us some great recommendations on places to eat close by (there is plenty!). The room was perfect for us: it had a comfy bed, a great AC unit, mini fridge, and it was very private with bathroom access right by the bedroom. They even had a large iMac for your use (with cable, Netflix, etc.) even though we didn't end up using it. We had a great first experience. Stay here! :) Thanks Jimmy & Rocio! :)

Our loft is situated in one of the hippest neighborhoods in Brooklyn, and a creative mecca for NYC. The building was a steel factory, and is surrounded by restaurants, bars, galleries, and venues. The room is brand new (moved in less than a month ago) and has a large size queen bed, as well as closet space.
This is a brand new loft that has been completely redone, and we have a creative and fun vibe. The room has been newly furnished and has a cozy atmosphere with warm lights and high ceilings. It is ideal for young visitors to New York who really want to experience the alternative scene. We are a very friendly bunch and we like hanging out together, so expect to meet some great people during your stay!
Bushwick is Brooklyn's most talked about neighborhood. This up and coming spot has amazing food, vintage clothing shops, yoga studios, organic grocery stores, cozy coffee shops, and artisanal chocolate factories within walking distance. The best part is that it's not as expensive as other parts of Brooklyn and Manhattan. Packed with personality, speckled with street art, and humming with artists, musicians, and entrepreneurs, Bushwick is one of the best neighborhoods to experience New York City authentically.
  • Dreamy loft. Quintessential NY space, high ceilings, light filled, charming. Great for the experienced traveler types. Super convenient location.

  • It is a nice loft located only 5 minutes away from the train station. I was unable to meet Irem, but her (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) were very welcoming, and were accessible to give suggestions. The place was clean, and the room is comfortable. Irem has great communication before, and during the stay. I would stay here again. The area is safe, never had an issue to and from the loft.

  • Irem is a lovely woman who has a genuine interest in her guests. She's restoring the core idea of airbnb: locals hosting travelers. The place is a true NYC experience. The warehouse is made up of lofts and Irems place has little closed off rooms. The room is very small with a bed only and the place can get a bit noisy. It was fine for my stay, but you should know in case you're not into that. The location is great, it's close to the L train and Bogart Street that offers lots of great food and coffee.

Get a feeling of privacy in this large room, featuring elegant decor, an open jacuzzi tub in front of the bed a private bathroon, and a direct acess to a large backyard. Its a ground floor brownstone ideal for people with limited mobility that find it hard to climb several flights of stairs. There are only about five steps at the entrance of this brownstone.
Very safe neighborhood, our house is located right in front of a public elementary school. We are with a 3 minutes walk to the heart of Harlem, close to the historic Apollo Theater and famous for a very vibrant nightlife, with famous Jazz clubs like Minton's (harlem was the birthplace of Jazz), restaurants, bars and Coffee Shops. We have two parks with waking distance: Morningside park (3 minutes) and Central park (10 minutes), that are a lot of fun to check out. We are also near Columbia Universty and one of the best bagel restaurants in the city, Absolute Bagels.
  • Alex's place is very comfortable, and the room feels very nicely private. Everything was as described and in fact the room was a lot bigger than I had expected. The neighbourhood is also great, and felt very safe. I'd recommend anyone to stay here who is looking to experience a different scene in New York.

  • Location was great. Very close to the subway and D train was all I needed to get back to the place. The air conditioning was a bit noisy at night but otherwise the perfect stopping ground just above Central Park. I would stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality! :)

    Sandy2016-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • The room in Alex's apartment was immaculately clean and ready to go when I arrived. I was late but they were very accommodating and understanding. They have a great shower/bath and a separate bathroom in the room so you really have all the accommodations of a hotel. The apartment is also near the park so I went for a quick run there in the morning which was really nice. You can definitely feel good about staying at Alex's!

    Sarah2016-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was very good- Johannes and Alex were helpful and accommodating when we only needed a room for one night. The room was large and it was nice to have a private bathroom and shower. It was also nice to have a door and window facing a private courtyard. We did not spend much time in the apartment but it was clean and quiet. The only thing that could have been improved was that the sink in the bathroom could have been cleaned and a fresh bar of soap or some liquid hand soap could have been provided.

    Elizabeth2016-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great people and great communication before the check in. Really enjoyed the back patio for coffee in the morning! Would stay here again. Very friendly and helpful.

  • Casper has been a very v friendly and very obliging host. The location of the apartment is great, with everything truly directly just around the corner. The apt is exactly as described.

  • Great location in a quiet neighborhood and clean. Check in and out was a simple affair and everything was very straightforward. I would recommend it if you're looking to save money, be in a great location, and simply looking for a place to sleep.

    Joanna2015-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • I had a very nice stay at Casper's place. He has a very nice (even if it is quite small) apartment. Everything was very clean and comfy. Unfortunately I have not met Casper personally but his room made was very friendly as well. Because Casper was not there we had to comunicate via mail, which worked perfectly fine. He seems to be a very nice guy! The apartment is in the middle of everything and a great place to start your sight seeing trip through NYC. I can absolutely recommend Casper as a host and his appartment.

  • If you are looking for a budget bedroom in the heart of Manhatten that is close to food and public transportation then this is the place for you. If you plan on spending any time relaxing in the apartment then you need to look elsewhere because it is small and the common space is used by the owner (although shared equally with you). My wife and I were satisfied with the room and since we only relied on it as a place,to sleep and wash up, it met those needs well.

    Paul2017-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, never met Casper but he did a great job communicating while checking in and throughout my stay.

    Kimberly2017-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Appreciated Casper's considerate communication with us even though he was out of country. It is four flights up but even for us seniors it wasn't bad - you only have to bring your luggage up one time! His place is New York city small but since we were out on the town most of our stay it was adequate. . If the host was home, this would have been a tight space for my wife & me. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was a bit dirty but you are sharing with the host. Basic amenities. Building was fairly quiet at night. Safe and inviting neighborhood. Close to public transportation.

    Blair & Rachel2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful neighbourhood, perfect apartment! The room and apartment were exactly as described. I did not get to meet Casper as he was away on business, but he gave me detailed instructions for picking up the key and getting into the apartment. His friend Artem is staying in his room and was very kind. They even let me leave my things in the apartment for a couple hours after checkout before my flight left just so I would have time to explore the EV/Gramercy area. I can't emphasize enough how cool that part of NY is! The apartment is perfectly NY sized, so don't expect space to dance around in your room...but really, you're in NY...you probably won't spend much time in the apartment anyway :) Thanks for a wonderful stay!

My apartment is in the heart of Soho, near Greenwich Village and West Village. You’ll love my place because of the high ceilings and white brick walls, beautiful art and walking distance to all of New York's hip neighborhoods. The best shopping for boutique and high end fashion is around the corner as well as access to the main subway lines. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers that don't care for plain hotels. The Queen sized bed is in a lofted mezzanine.
Soho is the most beautiful neighborhood in Manhattan with beautiful architecture and tons of high end boutiques for fashion, design, furniture and the trendy pop-up stores. There are many amazing restaurants in the area and other cocktail bars however my street is extremely quiet for a good night's sleep.

If you are interested in seeing New York City through the lens of a New Yorker, then i would love to have you stay in my 1 full bedroom plus queen loft apartment in some of the city's most vibrant neighborhoods. 1 block from Central Park west!!
1 block from Central Park!! This charming unit has 1 full bedroom with closet and desk for working. There is a ladder up to the Queen loft in the living room above the kitchen. Bathroom with tub and shower. Charming with lots of wood and natural brownstone vibe of the Upper West Side. Walking distance to Columbus Circle :) The apartment has high-speed wireless Internet and a large flat screen TV in the living room with over 1000 channels to chose from. The apt comes with fresh sheets and towels as part of the small cleaning fee. The calendar on airbnb page is accurate, so when it shows availability you can just book it. I know its scary booking stuff online but if you want me to give you a call after the booking, just specify and I will answer all of your questions.
As I had mentioned above, the apartment is in what I believe is the greatest area of NYC. Located in the middle of manhattan elite. The brownstones and trees lead you right to Central Park. Walking distance from the famous boat house, Bethseda Terrace and Conservatory Waters. Alice and wonderland statue, Central Park Lawn and Central Park Summer Stage.

  • It was Clean. It was good for us. We loved the location. It was close to bikes, subway, Central Park, and the LDS Temple. We were happy with it.

    Nanette2016-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very comfortable, pretty, and clean apartment in a great location in the Upper West Side. Apartment is on the 2nd floor - not a bad climb with suitcases for this old guy. First impression of the apartment was very positive- hardwood floors, brick walls, faux fireplace. New cabinets, granite counter tops and fridge in the kitchen and newly-decorated tiled bathroom are attractive. The queen bed is comfortable. Starbucks next door. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood and had dinner at two restaurants on Amsterdam Avenue. We were amazed at all the outdoor dining options! The subway entrance (B, C lines) at Central Park West and 77th is a 5 minute walk. Cabs are abundant. Shared bikes across the street. Suggestions: Install a shade on the bedroom window to block the morning light. We taped a black trash bag and that worked. We'd love to come back here again!

    Patrick2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable and convenient, but the bed on the second floor is not comfortable, and the AC is a little loud but overall it was an excellent stay.

    Paul2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is conveniently located few blocks from 1,2,3,A,B,C,D, trains and couple of blocks from Central Park and the Museum of natural history. The unit is quite, clean and well furnished. The bedroom is cozy but the bed is smaller than a queen size. The other bed is on the upper floor of the loft but the ceiling was very low (I had to sleep on the sofa which was comfortable). Gianni has been punctual and reliable for any need.

    Luca2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • the location was perfect for our trip only a block from central park. I went running each day. Although the place has a loft bed there is almost no head room in the loft area so effectively you have one bedroom and a comfortable couch to sleep on. Other than that the place was very clean and exactly as advertised.

    sean2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Apartment was completely as advertised and we were happy overall with the experience. Close to subway and restaurants (coffee shop (Starbucks) next door) and a short (and usually direct) subway ride everywhere we wanted to go. We are a family of four (two school aged kids) and it worked well for our needs.

  • It was a pleasure meeting Joe and staying in a room at his apartment. He was very friendly and accommodating. As advertised, the apartment is 1-2 blocks from the express subway line. The room was newly remodeled, clean, and had the bare essentials with a comfortable bed. Thanks Joe!

  • Such a great place to stay, I arrived in New York with 2 heavy suitcases and Joe didn't mind helping me carry one all the way upstairs. He was really helpful and caring about his guests' staying. He provided me lots of information, regarding my travel needs. The facility had everything you need as listed. I slept really well every night, everyone was quite and nice. The subway Entrance which is located just 2 blocks away to downtown and other areas. It took me approximately 1hr30mins to JFK, 60 dollars for cabs or uber. You need to climb the stairs to 5th floor, where the apt is. Don't complaint, you will most likely end up walking a lot in Manhattan, it's walking driven city anyway. So why not climbing a bit more; It all does good to your cardio at some points.

  • Joe was very helpful from the moment I booked my stay with him. Detailed instructions on how to get to his apartment were provided according to how I'd arrive in NY, and even before I started my trip Joe had suggestions on what might be interesting to me in the city. As Joe is working from home he was very flexible regarding my time of arrival. The kitchen and fridge are stocked with lots of cereal, coffee and condiments for guests and Joe was very eager to stock up should anything specific be missing or wished for. What perhaps surprised me most was how interested Joe was in making sure I could make the most of my (short) stay in NY; he took a lot of time to find out what might be interesting to me and had a city map marked up with places I might enjoy. One morning he asked whether I might be interested in checking out one of the many TV shows being recorded in Manhattan with my family and ten minutes later had gotten us tickets. There's also a wide variety of flyers and coupons ready for your use, so whatever you're planning on seeing in New York, you'll likely be taken care of. The room was rather small (stocked with a desk and chair as well as a wide variety of phone chargers) but unless you plan on spending most of your time in NY staying inside that won't be problem; I certainly didn't mind. Just be aware that there's five flights of stairs and no elevator to the apartment which wasn't a problem for me, but might have been for my dad who's had knee surgery. However, Joe was very insistent on carrying my luggage up and down, so unless you have certain health conditions, don't let this stop you. In short: The room has everything you need and a great host that will help you make the most of your stay in NY. Especially if it's your first time in the Big Apple, go with Joe.

Astoria/Long Island City. As a young family neighborhood it's extremely safe whilst still being close to all of the tourist attractions the city has to offer.
  • We had a wonderful stay at Robert's! It was a beautiful place, easy access to transportation, with fun local things to do. Robert was very social and helpful, anything that came up he responded to quickly! If you're looking for a tour guide who is always there, and an apartment to yourself, this is not the place. If you're looking for a clean, friendly, trendy place to stay that's convenient with a down to earth host; this is definitely your place. We'd go back in a heartbeat!

  • The Room was as expected. It was clean and well kept. We did not run into Robert while we there, but I would stay with him again while traveling to the city. The location was a short trip to Manhattan and the $ saved on the room made it well worth the commute! :)

  • The room was big and nice - exactly like pictured. Great location with easy and fast transport to all main attractions. Highly recommend!

  • We had a good time staying at Robert's place. Robert was attentive and easy to reach especially after I locked our key in the room. Neighbourhood felt very safe and the room was clean and comfortable. Liked the furnishings too and plenty of space! Robert provided everything we needed.

  • Room was Perfect as described. We arrived late and the room was at a perfect temperature. Fresh towels and clean sheets were provided. I would highly recommend this place, especially in this area.

  • This is a great place to stay. The room was spacious and clean, the facilities were good and the court yard outside was perfect for a few afternoon drinks! The house is 5 minutes walk from the subway and close to a few deli's and other eateries. I only met Robert once or twice as he largely keeps to himself, but he was a super cool guy and very helpful on the occasions we spoke. There aren't really and negatives to the place at all. My only minor grip would be that is only 1 bathroom and there are about 3-4 other bedrooms for guests on the property. Whilst Robert has done all he can (leaving signs asking guests to cut down bathroom time etc), there can be a bit of wait for the bathroom. If you are in a hurry, then that can be a pain. But ultimately, that is down to selfish guests and not Robert. Would highly recommend.

  • Can't beat the price point and easy access to Manhattan. I'd recommend it for sure.
