Vacation Rentals in New York

Just booked in New York

Location, location, location! Large, classy, timeless, comfortable, entire top floor with private entrance in our private house out of a 1890's novel in Williamsburg, Brooklyn one block from the East River. So easy to get to Manhattan by subway, ferry, cab or even foot, and all the best places in the "Burg" Wifi/cableTV/air/heat. (We stay in our separate floor below you never compromising your privacy!)
Perfect location on the Northside Williamsburg, Brooklyn Waterfront scene, my place is a wood beamed classic, with hard wood floors and restored original brick wall. It is the top floor of a 1894 restored house on a very nice semi residential street block. The nicely outfitted place, "the country in the sky" as I refer to it, has a beautiful totally functional "Peerless" antique prewar stove for cooking, generous amounts of pots, a wood burning fire place and a full size refrigerator in the kitchen. The feelings are cozy, warm, cabin like yet elegant. The kitchen and living room are in the same open area. There is a dining room table that seats 4, a beautiful brand new couch that folds down to become a very comfortable queen size bed that sleeps 2. Beyond the living area is the large master bedroom with a queen size bed that sleeps 2 with a large antique dresser and 2 riverside windows. Off the master bedroom is a large tiled classic bathroom with an antique skylight and large tub with shower, and a small bedroom with a twin size bed and riverside window that is nice as a separate rest area, a great place for a child to sleep, or an out of sight room to put your luggage and things. My location is beyond great and safe. 10 minutes maximum in a cab or car service over the Williamsburg Bridge and you are in Manhattan. It is a short walk (3 min) to the North 6th Street East River Ferry ( the scenic quick river route to Midtown Manhattan or lower Manhattan, please check schedules). Subways: L train ( gray line): First stop in Brooklyn, only one stop to Manhattan and a neat 10 minute walk from my place going by shops, restaurants and street vendors to the very frequent Northside L train subway stop at Bedford Ave and North 7 St, (Everything you want to pick up to take back to my place is on Bedford Ave or Kent Avenue which are the walking routes to the subway. (Among the small shops, restaurants and bars, there is now a "Whole Foods" supermarket and a Iphone store on Bedford!) The JM subway that goes over the Williamsburg Bridge with wonderful views of the river and NYC skyline to lower Manhattan (Chinatown etc), is a little further (13 min walk ) through the South Side. After a night out in the neighborhood, you will find this quiet, comfortable, timeless place to come home to that is the top floor of a restored Williamsburg house. All East River parks are a short walk away with their spectacular river and skyline views. During the warm months the weekend flea/food markets down Kent Avenue/North 8 on weekends are fun and back dropped by the river and Manhattan skyline. Grand Street River Park is only a block and a half away. I love going there in the mornings with a cup of tea and taking in the NYC view. The quaint restaurants and music clubs are amazing and abundant, the "Williamsburg Foodtown" Market has all the groceries you need and frankly the only reason I would leave the "Burg" would be to go to a museum, St. Patrick's, Grand Central's Oyster Bar or ice skating at Rockerfeller Center. Indoor Flea Market on North 7th right off Kent Ave, "Mast Brothers Chocolate" on North 3rd off Berry, "Beer Garden" restaurant lunch, dinner, brunch with live music on Friday nights on North 3rd and Berry, "Sea" restaurant (Thai) on North 6, "Sweet Water" (Bistro) restaurant on North 6, "Dumont Burger" for awesome burgers on Bedford between South 2-3, "Aurora" (Northern Italian) with great brunches, lunches and dinners is right around the corner as is "Coxley's" sport bar with 40 beers on tap and great chicken wings on Grand St. "Teddy's" rest and bar (American Bistro) on North 8, a landmark that serves brunch, lunch and dinner and also has music sometimes at night, and the "Knitting Factory" music performance space and bar is 6 blocks away on Metropolitan. The best NY steak house, "Peter Luger's" reservations only, is in the vicinity. The floor is divided in 4 areas: upon entering you are in the kitchen and living, dining room with a wall and door that separates this space from the large bedroom in the front, the large tiled bathroom and the smaller front bedroom. The living area can easily convert to a sleeping area for 2. The place is adorable and sleeps four comfortably. Much quieter than most places in the area. Heat, air conditioning, wifi, fine linens/towels and kitchen utensils are provided for my guest. Full laundry drop off service and dry cleaners is available a couple of blocks up the street at "Berry Cleaners" or 302 Bedford Ave. My personal assistant/butler and I will check with you on your arrival time, hand over keys and be close at hand for anything you need during your stay. I and my husband are on our private lower floor of the house.
The neighborhood feels like a small village. It is very safe and has such a mixture of different foods, cultures, and restaurants. The Manhattan skyline views along Kent Ave can get no better and the wonderful Pier off North 5 on a Sunday afternoon is full of families, tourist and the occasional fisherman. During the warmer months there are outdoor flea markets and food markets of North 8 on the East River side. Bedford Avenue (3 blocks away) on the North and South side is filled with non chain restaurants, bars and shops.
  • We were greeted by Azul who was very welcoming and took us through everything we needed to know. The property is a very warm and accomodating space. Very Stylish and it feels really homely. This is in a great local neighbourhood with loads and loads of independant shops and places to eat and hear music. Great transport links with a 10 min walk to the Subway J and Z at Marcey Ave and L at Bedford. Superb East River Ferry is five minutes away for direct links to Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge DUMBO.

  • This was the perfect place for our stay in Brooklyn. It is clean, comfortable, charming, and convenient to the city. Azule greeted us warmly upon our arrival and made us feel at home. The apartment was better than expected and the wood burning fireplace was just what we needed at the end of a long day. Thank you, Maria, for sharing your home with us. We shall return!!

    Lynda2017-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was clean, cozy and impeccably charming. As pictured - in a great location near great restaurants, shops and vibes. Azul was extremely accommodating and the entire process was a breeze. Would stay there again!

  • Didn't make it to house because I missed connecting flight. Have absolutely no feedback about the house cause I never went.

    Andres2015-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great, funky place to stay that perfectly matches the neighborhood vibe. We will be back. Azul was very helpful.

    Bob2014-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • friendly host, place was clean, good location

    Uta2015-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • if you are into a clean, modern look and feel, this place is not for you... if however, you are a fan of lving amongst flea market pieces and not too particular about some needed repairs, you will feel right at home here... the neighborhood is young and trendy and suited us very well, on the 3/4 mile long walk to the subway we liked getting to know local shops and restaurants.

    Herta2015-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful, rustic apartment, very close to the waterfront and amenities, and walkable to all of Williamsburg's bars and restaurants. Great service from our host Azul who was very helpful and communicative throughout. We were able to leave our baggage in the room and pick up later as we had an evening flight. We've already recommended this large, charming and convenient apartment to friends. Thank you Maria and Azul!

Downtown, the best bit of Manhattan. One of, if not the, LARGEST space on Airbnb in NYC. Your Own PRIVATE Bathroom & PRIVATE Bedroom, a Terrace off the bedroom, near to subways/buses, restaurants, bars, real luxury right in the middle of things. Just read our 300+ 5-STAR REVIEWS and you will see why we are SUPER-HOSTS and why you will just love this place, like other guests, I promise. Si, hablo bien espanol, Français parlé assez bien.
Downtown Manhattan, .. just like you see it in the films. Only so much better in real life !! All the details are below so that will see all that you will experience on your trip to the Big Apple - there are lots of things you will love when you stay here, but PLEASE PLEASE (did I say please?) try to read all the way to the end of the description, including sleeping arrangements, information on the area, getting around and the frequently asked questions. I know it is a bit of a novel, but it is well worth it and, from experience, it makes sure you understand everything in detail and ensures you will have the best stay that you can. Anything at all that you are not sure about, if you are new to Airbnb for example, just ask and I will get back asap and clarify. • Very spacious loft apartment ( about 2000 sq feet, 188 sq m, at last measure - so very BIG for New York) in the center of arguably the coolest area of the city (please do not argue ), modern, minimalist furniture , very open, very clean, I take great pride in having a spotless living environment (that goes for the host too). A Massive space that gets flooded with light via a wall of windows. Just take a look at the pictures. High security. Walking distance to subways & museums. Friendly building and very safe neighborhood. • Your own PRIVATE bathroom - Large, spacious, with Jacuzzi Bath, Shower, Hairdryer, Kohler fixtures. Fresh towels etc. Fully-stocked. All the shampoo and things you will ever need. Just for you. • Your own PRIVATE bedroom - Queen Bed for 2, firm and soft pillows for every type of sleeper, linens, towels, Large Flat Screen TV, Netflix, Amazon TV etc, Wardrobe. Again only for you. • Large kitchen - Open concept with an area to eat and with everything you need to design a gourmet feast, top of the line GE appliances, Microwave, Toaster, Kettle , Dishwasher, stainless steel counter top etc. Make any food you want - if it is really good, give me some. Make coffee there in the morning - always available -- you have your very own little coffee bar. • Very large living area, Real Fireplace, WiFi, Surround sound HDTV with HDMI hook-up and Roku TV, Bose sound system with iPhone/iPod hook-up, the best choice in music (in my opinion, most not consulted). Sit.... Enjoy • Large dining area - seats lots, great views over the city and over the Williamsburg Bridge. Eat foods mentioned above (probably while seated, although one can never be sure). • Natural brick walls (as opposed to unnatural I suppose) and a lovely Merbeau wooden floor, both of which look good (but don't say much). • Floor to ceiling windows throughout - bathed in sun (when the sun is out, mainly, of course) • Outside secluded seating area and balcony - you access directly from your room - very secluded (sometimes I cannot find it) • Full air conditioning / heating in the room and in rest of loft - be hot, be cool (most likely one at a time) • Bosch Washer and Dryer - for you to use - we like to reserve that for guests who stay for 3 nights or longer - being kind to the world too, we try to use cold water as well where possible. • Keyed Private elevator entrance directly into Loft - of course you have your own key (or stairs if u have the energy - does not seem so popular, strangely) • Printer / Scanner available. Pens and paper too, if you are a traditionalist.(although we draw the line at camel hair brushes, I'm sure you understand). And there is a universal power adapter for you to use to charge your gadgets too. • The building is a very smart development, a recently renovated 7-story apartment block with original brick facade, great views of the city skyline. Quiet, lovely, village feel, with parks and pedestrian areas just outside, but close enough to get anywhere very easily. I think I am allowed to say it is authentic. • This is a very large and comfortable space that you will be free to enjoy as you wish (this is your vacation after all). You will have lots of privacy and as well as the city, you have Books, Music (great as mentioned above), Roku TV with lots of channels and an online DVR and more .... or just relax and chat. Up to you. We provide the following publications too New York Times New York Magazine so you can feel a bit like a New Yorker • Located in the heart of Downtown - food (some of the best in the city), drink, fun, shopping all very, very close. A very cool residential neighborhood just a short trip to all the action. Perfect location for exploring both sides of the river too, as very close to Brooklyn and Williamsburg. One of the most historic neighborhoods in the U.S. (perhaps the most). We are only a few minutes away from the walkway along the East River, it has a great view of the Brooklyn bridge and Manhattan Bridge. Nearly opposite the Tenement Museum (which is really great). TV, Film and general interest media all the time (become a star - or an extra anyway) ,music clubs and comedy left right and center and Alphabet City, Ludlow Street , East Village, Chinatown and Soho all in spitting distance - and I can not spit far. Direct Access to cabs just outside building. • Food shopping wise, it is 3 blocks from a Whole Foods and a couple of blocks from the Essex Street Market. Great food shopping if you want. I hope everything is covered - email if you need more information. I hope to see you soon and I hope I can be part of your visit to this unique place.
Best neighborhood in Manhattan for independent coffee shops, cozy wine bars, up-and-coming restaurants (the area has 4 out of the top 10 best places to eat in this years NY magazine list) , intimate music venues, and interesting owner-operated shops. Like no other area in the city. A very peaceful cool neighborhood, yet just a short trip to all the action. Check out the "Guidebook" with my listing -- I send a much longer one that I have written directly to guests that do decide to stay before they get here - and they love it, mention it often in their reviews and keep asking for extra copies!!
  • Carol and Mark were incredibly welcoming and made extra efforts to ensure that I was able to find their home without difficulty and that they would be there for my arrival. My bedroom and bathroom were clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the rest of their home--which I was welcome to use--was as well. They even made the extra effort, providing me with an iron and board, telling me of a jogging route, and letting me know about local amenities. Two thumbs up!

    Trey2014-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Carol and Marc were both great hosts with a lovely apartment. The apartment was always clean and tidy and it was a great place to come back to after a long day of walking around the city. Carol and Marc were both very welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful during our stay. Thank you!

  • Wonderful apartment in a great location- fantastic new York experience. Carol & Marc are fab hosts, greatly enjoyed chatting with them

    Janina2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great hosts. Not their first rodeo and ran their Airbnb like a well oiled machine. Even said they would give us money back after they realized I wrote the wrong information in and was overcharged. Very honest, friendly and straight forward hosts.

    Zachary2017-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great experience in New York and I’m very pleased to say that our first Airbnb stay was a great success. We were greeted by a very warm welcome from Marc, a British expat and fantastic storyteller with decades of interesting stories and experiences of NYC. The conversations I had with Marc were always perfectly timed, taking place in those typically annoying 30 mins you would normally spend flicking through TV channels on a hotel bed whilst waiting for your girlfriend to get ready to go out! The days we spent in NYC were very long, so it was great to be able to come back to a quiet apartment and comfortable bed. Then there's Marc and Carol, who are both very chilled and if they are about are always up for a chat and a glass of wine or cup of tea. The location is perfectly located between the two stations 2nd Avenue and Delancey St, so you are straight on the subway in a morning after a Starbucks, which is just outside the apartment. The trick is to spend the day in Manhattan then get back to the apartment at a reasonable time, so you can then explore the great little quirky restaurants in the streets that surround the apartment. Much better than falling into the typical restaurant traps uptown (TGI Fridays etc). This is where Carol comes in… Carol has a great knowledge of bars and restaurants in the area (see her LES guide) and is very passionate about this – she gave us some real gems whilst we were there! Thank you both for a great stay. Ben

  • Marc & Carol made us feel very welcome from the outset. We had our own small double bedroom & private bathroom & the use of the rest of the apartment, which was spacious, uncluttered and very well-equipped & comfortable. It was our first time in New York, & the area felt very authentic - lively, bustling, fairly noisy (but not oppressively so), full of the kind of tenement buildings seen in so many movies set in New York - but the district felt very safe. There were plenty of local restaurants & bars, as well as a fantastic diner on the opposite corner. It was very well situated for getting around the city - nearby subway & walking distance from Brooklyn Bridge, the Staten Island Ferry & the southern tip of Manhattan, as well as Greenwich Village & Washington Square to the north. We walked miles & miles & saw all the sights we really wanted to see in a short space of time. Marc & Carol were great company & full of information (if we asked them something they didn't know, they found out for us). Marc saved me a fortune by lending his phone to call United Airlines (minimum 30 minute wait time). Thanks again Marc! All-in-all, Marc & Carol's apartment felt like a home-from-home, & I would recommend it very highly to anyone seeking an authentic New York experience with generous, friendly and informative hosts who clearly love the city despite its frustrations (the subway, Marc agreed, is c**p, but it's our c**p). The AirBnB listing was spot-on, and Carol's response was swift, friendly & welcoming.

    Stephen2016-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Carol and Marc were wonderful hosts and were incredibly helpful. The apartment was lovely and the location was great. It was very easy to navigate around the city from their place which was especially helpful for someone who had never been to NYC before. All the amenities listed were just as they were presented to be and the apartment had a very nice calm atmosphere. I wish I could have extended my holiday and stayed another four days!

    Amanda2014-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Carol and Marc's apartment was absolutely perfect. It was very clean and the location was great. The private bathroom is nice. There is a lot of local restaurants and bars within walking distance. Carol and Marc were awesome. They were very nice and made us feel right at home. They were knowledgable about things they thought we would be interested in seeing. We will definitely stay here again.

Cozy, warm atmosphere, perfect for the traveler looking for a real NY experience. This reservation is for one person. If you want to book for 2 guests it is an extra $100 per night. Best neighborhood in midtown Manhattan for the best price. In the hub of Hell's Kitchen nightlife, restaurants, theaters, museums. This is a smoking apartment.
Bedroom is small, but very comforting. Kitchen is HUGE with tons of sunlight and every spice you can imagine for all you chefs. Very easy going apartment- smoking is perfectly fine. Part of the apartment is an art workshop. Bathroom is large with skylight. Apartment is in back of the building, so the apartment is very quiet. An oasis in midtown. This reservation is for one guest.
Hell's kitchen is THE center of the entire city. Some of the best and affordable restaurants in the city, with any type of cuisine you could want. The apartment is walk able to virtually any subway line in the city. The neighborhood is in the center of the arts, with Times Square, Broadway theaters, and Central Park a stone's throw away. A vibrant nightlife and artist community with a neighborhood feel. Anything you're looking for is here!
  • Jeffrey was a great host. He helped me navigate using the train. The space was well worth the money, given the location and the convenience of my conference. The bed was super comfortable. I felt a little bad about using his bathroom, since it's shared and on his side of the apartment, but he was so sweet and generous with everything. I might have decided not to stay there if I had noticed that Jeffrey was a smoker (fully disclosed on the description). But I barely smelled anything, maybe because of the kind of cigarettes? The apartment wasn't smoky or smoke- smelly, at all. I even think I got used to the stairs after a day or two. This was my first AirBnB experience and Jeffrey made it great!

    Kenya2015-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This place is legendary. Location is super convenient, Jeff is very relaxed and friendly man with great sense of humor. Flat itself is very nice, clean and colorful. Jeff even do breakfasts and iced teas/coffees for guests, which is so appreciated in cruel NYC July. This place is really something and can't be missed. Thank you, Jeff.

    Albert2017-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Jeffery was the perfect host. His space is beautiful and provides respite in the hectic city while still being in the midst of it all. The room is quiet and the bed is comfy, plenty of closet space which I really appreciated. Jeffery is also just a really cool guy and easy to talk. I enjoyed my time here. Thanks so much Jeffery!

    Luis2015-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Jeff was a wonderful host. Very helpful and friendly. The location is great, quiet area but also close to countless number of bars and restaurants. I highly recommend staying here.

  • Jeffrey's place is in a great location in Hell's Kitchen, very convenient to all the bars and restaurants there but outside the Times Square chaos. He's a very accommodating host who will regale you with stories and pamper you with breakfast, tea, coffee, and treats.

    Zachary2016-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Jeffrey is about the nicest guy I can imagine staying with. Great conversation, extremely hospitable guy. Made coffee and tea for my arrival and breakfast in the morning. Knows the city well and was a pleasure to meet and stay with.

  • Katherine was very communicative with me and I had no problem meeting her at the apartment to get the keys. The place was exactly as described and was very comfortable and exactly what I was looking for. The neighborhood has great bars and restaurants, interesting characters and the flat is next to the subway. Highly recommended.

  • Absolutely loved the place!

  • Very cozy apartment and lots of food and bar options nearby

    Courtney2017-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Katherine's place is exactly how it seems in the photos. Clean, bright, well-decorated and really conveniently located. The bed was soft and comfortable, the linens were clean and the key pick up/drop off was really simple. Katherine was responsive when we had questions, but otherwise hands off. Also, the tv/wifi/Apple TV/Netflix were all super easy to use. Definitely a great value and option for someone looking for a clean place in a fun neighborhood in Lower Manhattan - we found this to be a much better value than the hotel we normally stay in in NoLita. No complaints - we loved it!

    Aaren2016-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Katherine was more than accommodating to our travel plans. She was very responsive and willing to provide information about the area along with recommendations for food/fun. The living space was very clean and as advertised and had easy access to the subway.

  • A perfect hideaway spot with everything you need for a city break. This is a studio apartment but perfectly formed and arranged and so it doesn't feel small in the slightest. Katherine made picking up keys and checking out really easy. Thank you very much, will definitely return!

This is a comfortable studio apartment with exposed brick that has a true city feeling. This studio has a newly renovate bathroom and kitchen with stain steel appliances. The space fits four and is centrally located on a Historic quiet street. This unit is loaded with cable and wifi. Just blocks away from public transportation A and G train lines. And minutes away from the bus route B25 B26 and the B44. Come and explore the charm of Bed-Stuy and all the Historic's. I love this neighborhood.
This historic section of Brooklyn is home to some of the most magnificent brownstones streets in the world, with charming architectural landmarks. There so many new restaurants and bars popping up in the area such as Peaches,Hot house,Royals, Saraghina, and Gallery.
  • Very close to the A.

  • My friends and I had an amazing stay at Michelle's studio. The apartment was enough space for the three of us, with everything we need within reach. Michelle was an amazing host, accommodating and there to provide us with anything we needed. Michelle was a great communicator and would respond quickly if we needed anything. The area is quiet for the most part and residential, just a few blocks away from stores, shops and restaurants making it easy to get out and explore! It was overall a great weekend at a great place :) thanks for everything, Michelle!

    Raessa2017-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle was a fantastic host and everything with the accommodation was ideal. She made the extra effort to help us with travel and attraction suggestions when needed and was always at hand. Great place and great host!

    Fraser2017-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle recently renovated the apartment. Perfect for a couple and could squeeze another two on the fold out couch (futon) but it would be tight. We were comfortable and made to feel very welcome. The corner deli was great for inexpensive breakfast. Roll egg, cheese and pastrami. Perfect. 10-15 minute walk to the metro didn't seem too far but not ideal if winter or in the rain. Street parking was not a problem. Would certainly recommend and would stay again. Thanks Michelle.

    Julie2017-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • This space was great! She was very accommodating to us. I felt very at home the pictures are accurate. It's decorated very pretty. Not a far walk from the subway. She had a response right away for me for anything I asked. Store is right on the corner for anything you need. The space is very clean. I would recommend that anyone stay here. Thank you Michelle you were so wonderful!

    Danielle2017-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Michelle's place. Everything was as described and Michelle was super sweet and helpful. If we had any questions, she was right there to help us out. We can only recommend to stay there!!

  • We went as my friend is a drag queen, this was in such a great location for access to many of the cities finest drag bars as the best ones all seem to be in Brooklyn. The apartment itself was comfortable for two people, just a little small I could imagine for many more. However we loved our stay, Michelle was a wonderful host and I can't recommend this place enough.

Located on a quiet historic block in a landmarked cast iron building, steps from both the TriBeCa Grand Hotel and the SoHo Grand Hotel, situated amongst an abundance of restaurants, bars, shopping, landmarks, galleries, and hidden treasures of New York.
  • This was by far my best Airbnb experience to date. The apartment is absolutely incredible and the photos don't do it justice. High ceilings throughout, a kitchen that could host a cooking show (and apparently has before!), push button espresso built into the cabinetry, direct elevator access, memory foam mattress (at least in the main bedroom, I didn't try the others)...this place is a true gem and made me so comfortable in NY. Jon (Chester wasn't in town), was a most gracious host, welcoming me the night of arrival and telling me a little bit about the history of the building and street (fun fact: the buildings you look at across the street were built in the 1860s out of cast iron), and was responsive to all requests throughout the trip. You would be lucky to stay here and have Jon (and Chester) as your hosts.

  • The Lispenard Loft is a great place to stay at the northern edge of TriBeCa and literaly just a few steps away from SoHo. Hundreds of shops, boutiques, cafés and restaurants are within walking distance and if you want to explore NYC, there are four subway stops in the immediate vicinity. Located on the fifth floor of a beautiful historic TriBeCa building, this spotless loft offers everything you could wish for to spend a week (as we did) in this great neighborhood: wooden floors, comfortable beds, two luxurious bathrooms, well-functioning AC, quick/stable Wifi, a well-equipped kitchen with a fully automatic coffee machine and a washer-dryer out in the hallway. Stepping out of the keyed elevator onto the floorboards after a long day in the city feels like coming home to a welcoming retreat - the ideal place to recharge your batteries. And then there's Chester & John, the gentle (g)hosts of this perfect place, catering to your every need. Our family of four is happy to warmly recommend their loft for an exciting and relaxing stay in this fascinating city.

  • Chester and Jon were so wonderful during our stay this summer! We could not have been happier with the apartment as well! Jon met us when we arrived and helped us get settled in! They were so accommodating! We had our new 2 month old baby and our little dog with us, and they made sure we had everything we needed. They were very friendly and our dog even made friends with their dog :) The apartment is in a great location as well! We will be coming back to NYC a lot in the future and we hope to stay at Chester and Jon's place!

    Marisa2014-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really beautiful loft with incredibly gracious hosts. Jon was amazing. He checked in with us and was there whenever we needed anything. The beds were VERY comfortable. We also loved the kitchen, mostly the coffee maker which Jon refilled with beans for us after we used them all up. There were 6 of us in the loft and we were very comfortable. Thank you, Jon and Chester (and little Chloe).

    Kimberly2014-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing experience at Chester and Jon's gorgeous Tribeca loft. It was completely and utterly swoon-worthy. Looks exactly like the pictures, probably even better! Huge windows, great light, modern and comfortable furniture, great kitchen and baths. And impeccably clean! I was in NY for a work event and the elevator opening into the loft was also great amenity with all the packages I had to manage. Jon and Chester were lovely hosts. There were beers in the fridge when we got there, they stored our bags before check-in when we arrived early, and they were available via text or phone whenever we needed them. Can't say anything better about the experience, except that I hope to return for another stay in the spring! Thank you, thank you for making a week of work feel incredibly luxurious!

    Elizabeth2015-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay could not have been better. Chester and Jon were warm hosts and made themselves available to us the whole trip. The location of this apartment is truly sensational - minutes walk to SOHO shopping and great restaurants. The apartment is clean, tastefully decorated and HUGE. Perfect for two singles, two couples or even two families with small children. Built in Meile coffee maker was a great surprise. We felt safe, secure and like we weren't compromising but not staying in a hotel. I would not hesitate in recommending this to any other AIRBNB'er. Thanks so much to J&C, we will be back.

    Georgia2013-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Chester and Jon´s place in Tribeca. Everything about this place is amazing: the interior design, the location, the hosts. There is an incredible variety of shops and restaurants just around the corner and it is very easy to get to anywhere in the city from Lispenard St. There is so much to love about this apartment: I highly recommend it! Thank you, Chester and Jon, for making us feel so welcome.

    Elisabeth2014-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Chester and Jon's loft in NYC is absolutely stunning. Very spacious, well-located and incredibly comfortable. Check-in was very easy and Jon was a very helpful and hospitable host. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend anyone do the same!

Feel free to write if you have any questions!
East Village/ Alphabet City has tons of cafes and bars and is a great place to explore the rest of the city from.
  • I stayed here with my boyfriend for two weeks and we absolutely loved it! Reka and Erin were very welcoming and had great recommendations. They also had some friends staying who were really nice too. It is a 15-20min walk from the nearest subway, which was the only downside but for us was worth it to be in such a great neighborhood. Loved all the bars and restaurants in the East Village and would definitely recommend staying in this neighborhood! Really comfortable bed too!

    Penny2015-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed my stay in Alphabet city. Great neighbourhood with easy access to further Manhattan and Brooklyn on the L line. Very friendly, easy going hosts, I would defiantly stay again. Five stars! Thanks, Simon.

    Simon2015-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great bedroom with a very comfortable bed and really cool view. Very clean and friendly apartment in a rather quiet neighborhood, but close to all the East Village fun places... Highly recommended!

    Beat2014-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first AirBnB experience, and I could not have asked for better. Reka's place is in a great location, minutes away from fantastic coffee and a Citibike station (which made for a nice start to every day). Reka is a wonderful host, and knows the area very well. The neighbourhood is full of casual dining options, and she had a recommendation for whatever style of cuisine I could come up with. Every one was a winner! The apartment was clean & tidy and the room well appointed. And that roof deck! Such a great place to relax and reflect with a cold beer after a day of exploring the city. I will definitely stay again if I'm lucky enough to return to the East Village sometime.

    Tony2016-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great experience in the apartment. Erin, Reka's roommate, made me feel welcome. She was there to recommend on restaurants, and in general she was very nice and always asked me about my day. The greatest thing about the apartment is that it is sunny. It is not necessarily the case in many apartments in Manhattan. The room was very nice, not too big but not too small. I had a private bathroom, which is great, and the view from the terrace was absolutely stunning. The neighborhood is nice, quiet and calm, and there are places to hang out that are near. The only thing that was a bit of a disappointment for me was the distance to the metro, about fifteen minutes by foot, which is a bit far to my taste.

    Kobi2015-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Reka and Erin made us feel very welcome. They couldn't have been more helpful. The room was small but comfortable. We had access to whatever bathroom and cooking facilities we required. There was a view across the city skyline.

    Paul2015-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • I didn't meet Reka, but enjoyed the stay at her place. It's tidy, laid back, and in a great location. Check-in and everything else was smooth as well.

    Kristin2017-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Reka and her housemate, Erin, were great hosts! Not fussy and most of the time, left me with the house where I could watch Netflix (if only I had time!). My room was spacious, considering NY's tight apartments, clean and i was given lotsa hangers for my clothes! The apartment was neat and tidy, and there's a deck where you can enjoy the sun and view during Spring and Summer (I was there in Winter). I like the neighborhood, with lotsa awesome eateries (that Sandwich place Reka recommended), UpState (1st Ave), Wafles and Dinges (East Village)... you will never be left with lousy food options. I enjoyed the vibe of the neighborhood (you just gotta explore). The place is 10-15min walk from the subway station, but walking is not a problem for me unless I have lotsa shopping, which i will take a bus. The block is surrounded by quite a few bus stops so it was easy for me to get around Manhatten with just 1 bus ride, if you choose to ride the bus. I almost never have to take the cab here in my 2+ wks stay. Enjoy your stay at Reka!

  • My parents stayed there for 2 days. They speak very limited English, but Craig is very nice and patient, helping my parents around and very responsive everytime I have questions. Awesome host, great location, cozy and clean apt. Everything was great. Definitely recommended for anyone who visits NYC!

  • Craig and Michael are the nicest. We arrived at 6 in the morning and they were already waiting for us there. They offered us a lot of useful tips. Also, the place itself is just amazing. The location is great. It's close to everything and apartment is so beautiful. We really enjoyed our time there.

    Yue2016-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Craig does such an amazing job with this place! It is a gooorrrgeous home, immaculately decorated, warm and welcoming. This was my first airbnb experience and because of Apartment 6, I don't want to stay anywhere else in Harlem. I can't say enough about this place. When I arrived, Craig was in the home waiting to welcome me. It was like entering a spa, the owner has a beautiful garden on the terrace, and such a natural setting, as well as great low lighting… perfect for my late arrival. Made me want to relax and sleep. He was efficient, helpful and friendly and let me get settled. My room was comfy, with two windows overlooking a beautiful cathedral. It had anything you needed to feel like home… a great closet, a coffee table and tv, a double bed that works as a day bed with a bunch of pillows for day lounging, a desk. Craig even left some snacks and drinks in the second closet for me if I needed something on the go! My bathroom was amazing, beautiful stone, clean lines - like a european spa. I had the whole place to myself during the day to prepare for my audition. I cooked for myself in the kitchen and enjoyed the garden. The neighborhood was new to me - the south end of Harlem - just blocks from Central Park. I explored the street the place is on (Fredrick Douglass). A few doors down is an organic grocery store, and one block up was a great espresso shop called Double Dutch. Some of it wasn't on yelp maybe because it's a really up-and-coming area. There's a starbucks, chase bank and a diner/pastry shop just a few blocks north. I wanted to try the German Gastropub "Bier" - looked so cool! The decor alone was something out of a museum - such a ZEN space! Garden books everywhere- even a little book by my bed, I think it was called "Places for Quiet Meditation in NYC", if I had another day I would have gone to some of those places! I can't recommend this place enough. Great price for what you get-- A home away from home:)

    Emily2014-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful experience in NYC! Craig is very polite, helpfull,...a very good manner guy! Mike, the flat's owner is lovely! It was my first time in NYC and they make me feel like at home!!!! The apartment is exactly like pictures!!! It's very clean, with free wifi, quiet and with a private bathroom! And don't miss the amazing view of Central Park from the terrace, where Mike has beautiful flowers!! you have the subway station only two minutes by walk, as well as you can find very good restaurants and bars nearby, but cheaper than other NY areas. I really suggest to rent a bike and ride through the Park or enjoying it with a morning jogging, in very NY style!!!!

  • Our stay in the apartment was incredible. The apartment is comfortable, nice and it looks like in the pictures. This is the first time we use air b&b. At the beginning we were a little bit worried but Craig was awesome and clarified all our doubts. The first day of our arrival, he waited for us in the apartment, invited us some fresh fruit and made us feel like home. He gave us a lot of good advises such as where to have breakfast, which line of the metro to take, and other important stuffs for tourists. The metro is only 2-3 blocks from the apartment and the neighborhood is safe 24/7. We were almost all the time alone, because the owner was abroad and we met him just the last two days. Michael was very kind with us and always trying to help us. We recommend a lot this apartment and we will come back soon. Thanks Craig!

    Maribel2014-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • this apartment was an absolute oasis of calm and joy to come to after weathering a crazy snow-related travel nightmare. Craig was incredibly efficient and understanding, staying in touch constantly and adjusting his plans as I battled my way valiantly through the travel chaos, & I can't tell you how wonderful it was to be met by such a lovely friendly host after all the travel hell. and the apartment itself was a total dream - warm yellows, ivory and teak hues, with everything laid out exactly as I needed - warm bedding, candlelight, cupboard space, fresh fruit, clean bathroom w/ all amenities. I fell in love with the beautiful greenhouse terrace, which makes you feel like you've stepped into another world altogether. all this place needs is a meditation soundtrack. it was incredibly hard to leave. I am so tempted to write a terrible review of this place so that no one will come here and I can have it ALL TO MYSELF whenever I visit New York. but Craig and Apartment 6 are much too lovely to hoard in good conscience & so I grudgingly suggest that you will regret it if you come to NYC and don't try to stay in this apartment at least once in your life Craig家真的是紐約的一個隱藏的寶石 讓我過了非常舒服的幾天 他家有特別艺术和独特的環境與氛围 周邊也非常方便 距離雙連捷運站約步行2-3分鐘 也有多樣化美食選擇 下次到紐約 這個房子一定是我近期的最佳選擇!

    Rachel2015-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great location - two blocks from Central Park. The apartment is well deco-ed with taste. And the host is very friendly!

  • Apartment 6 was everything and more! Craig was very accommodating when it came to our check in/out time. Craig and Michael were great hosts and made us feel right at home. The garden terrace was our favorite part. We recommend staying Apartment 6!

  • Very clean place! Slept 7 very comfortably. It can be a little difficult sharing one bathroom amongst 7 people but it’s manageable. Parking during the day wasn’t a problem at all but at night was much trickier. Traveling to the city was very very quick and easy. I recommend John’s place!

  • John was quick to respond to my questions and the apartment was very clean, although not as equipped as I thought it would be. The neighborhood seemed safe and it was very easy to get into New York City, however be aware that buses take exact change and don't always read bills larger than $1. Parking was not easy, but not impossible, either.

The quick bus ride into the center of the city was so convenient. We had an incredible time visiting New York and would recommend this place to anyone visiting NYC.

  • My family of 5 visited NYC and we enjoyed our stay at John Steve's spacious apt. We had plenty of space. The restroom and kitchen were very well equipped. I had a headache one night and was very pleased to find a first-aid kit that included Motrin (saved me a trip to the pharmacy). Location was great, very close to the Lincoln tunnel if you plan on driving into NYC and also very close to the Park & Ride and the Path station. I will definitely keep John Steve's apt as an option on my next visit to NYC. Thank you John Steve.

My place is near Highland Park, Javits, Time Squares, Herald Square, Penn Station, Port Authority, B&H, 24hr Deli, Grocery, Drug Store, Police Station, Subway, Restaurants. You’ll love my place because I'm on the 12th flr with a great view of the city, it's convenient to everything, great light, lots of windows, comfy bed, kitchen, coziness, big bathroom, full living room with fireplace. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families, and trained pets.
The living room have a beautiful designer comfy couch. Great for extra guest to sleep on. There is a fireplace which I can help you light it up. There is a clothing rack, steamer, and iron. The place is greatly light with huge windows in the room and from the kitchen too. There is a curtain that divides the living room from your bed. It's up to you if you want to close that curtain. I have full size mirror. My kitchen is small. You are welcome to cook. I have 2 pot, pan and full set dishes and glass set. I have a fined wine in the fridge. You are welcome to drink it but will have to charge you for the bottle. The bed is next to the heater and the window. If the heater gets to hot, please let me know so I can show you how to turn it down. You can also open the window too. The queen bed is firmed. I have a soft topper on the bed also. But if you want it really firmed, just let me know and I can remove the topper. I have a printer which you are welcome to use. This building has a 24 hour doorman. KITCHEN: I will use the kitchen when you are not there to get food and water for my dogs and may make myself some food but will clean up after. I usually feed my dogs in the late morning and evening. If you are there around those time. I will ask first before coming into the kitchen to get water and food.
I love the convenient of walking distance to everything. Public transportation, restaurant, park, river, deli, dry cleaner, drug store, grocery market, post office, dry cleaner, you name it! It's all within a few blocks.
  • We had a great time in this cozy semi-private room! Chong was a great host, who let us in earlier than we were supposed to and had a sweet attitude all the time. Her dogs are amazing and famous! Excellent location.

    Tatiana2017-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • CZ casas place was clean and accessible. There is a shared bathroom and a pair of cute dogs. The owner was nice and accommodating.

  • My colleagues and I stayed here for one night for a work trip, and we were very comfortable - we slept on a bed, sofa and air mattress in the main living area. Chong was a lovely, accommodating host and was very communicative and flexible about our check in. We walked to the apartment from our office near Times Square.

    Sophie2017-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing weekend in NYC at Chong's place with her two cute and fashionable dogs. Communication was super easy, Chong made everything to make me feel at home. We had great time together. The apartment is in a perfect location to explore and enjoy Manhattan. The pictures reflect accurately the reality, love your creativity for both your apartment and dresses!!! Check-in and check-out went super smooth and Chong gave me plenty of advice to organize my stay in NYC. Thank you for everything, Chong. You really made my weekend! Hope to see you again.

    Anne2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing space! It's stylish, it's clean, it's homely, and it's what you want to really enjoy your NY trip. Zuzu and Zunkey we're no problem at all in fact they heighten the experience. Chong is beyond lovely and continuously made us feel comfortable. It was as though we had our own place as chong was extremely quiet! The view from the bedroom is beautiful. Great distance from the hustle and bustle. Not too close but not to far out. Me and my partner have already discussed returning and staying here again. WE LOVED IT!

    Leah2017-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Super convenient location for anything at Javitz Center and the new subway station. High floor so minimal street noise. Chong's two very small dogs are not at all intrusive, but being a dog person is helpful. The owner is friendly, helpful and flexible. Your space is private, but the bathroom is shared. That was totally comfortable for me. The shared kitchen is small so don't plan to do anything except breakfast. There is a very nice bagel and muffin shop with great sandwiches right by the entrance of the building.

Cute and Sunny Room in Greenpoint
I live alone and share my second room. There are two windows in the bedroom which create a lot of natural light.
Greenpoint is one of NYC's favorite and very safe neighborhoods, has a plethora of great restaurants, bars, parks, shops.
  • Place as in description, great localisation close to subway and shops. Good value for money. Would recommend

  • The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Nikita was very nice and the check in was easy. He had to leave after we arrived but he said we could always text him if we have questions. Would recommend this place!

  • the room is so clean and the room is really awesome with comfortable mattress! Since we take a lot of luggage which made us spend more than 15 mins from the train station to arrive the home. I think it will be faster without the luggage!

    Jalice2018-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • A nice small room with a comfy bed in the middle of Brooklyn. Nikita was friendly and helpful.

  • House is 5 minutes walking from G line and 18 minutes walking from L line, in a very quiet area. Just outside there's an early opening Polish bar and we found it perfect for having breakfast before going to explore the city. House is very simple, extra small room with extra comfortable bed. The kitchen is available too. I would definitely recommend this place.

Safe, quiet, family-friendly residential neighborhood. Safe to walk late at night. Only 5 minute walk to and from bus stop and to spectacular views of the NYC skyline from historic Hamilton Park.
  • Well what a great place to stay, 2 minutes from fantastic views of Manhattan just across the river. 5 minutes from the bus stop (you can get the (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) and another number bus which I forget for $3.50 across to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in around 15 minutes). Alternatively there is a private bus which you can take which is $3 but stop locations in Manhattan are not clear, you basically just shout when you want to get off. Coming back get the Boulevard East bus for $3 which is outside the Holy Cross Church on 42nd Street between 8th and 9th Avenue or the aforementioned numbered buses from the bus terminal, make sure you get a ticket from inside the terminal for $3.50 as the buses don't accept cash when they're in the terminal. The New York Water Taxi is a great way to see the city sights from the river and you can hop on and off as many times as you like in a single day for $35. For cheap beer stay away from the bigger joints and try the smaller "dive bars". Jimmy’s Corner right next to Times Square is great for boxing memorabilia and beers are around $3. Blue Ruin on 9th and 40th has beers for around $4 and has a fantastic jukebox if you like rock and metal music. James was a great host and was waiting outside when we arrived, showed us around the apartment and gave us all the advice we needed regarding travel and local conveniences. The apartment itself was very clean and met all our needs. Air con and a fan available in both bedrooms but we didn’t need either as the temperature was just fine. Tea and Coffee making facilities along with a fridge full of water and milk were provided. There's a supermarket 5 minutes away should you need any essentials. The area is very safe so you don’t have to worry where you are late at night.

  • This is a five star stay! The apt is all new, great taste and comfort. The bed linnen and towels are first class and our host even left food and aeveral bottles of water for us He was kind enough to arrange transportation to the airport NYC is indeed 15 or less from his home Whenever I come, I will stay here again Highly recommend it

  • Manhattan is known by Wall Street. Madison Avenue. 34th Street. Broadway: its neighborhoods, its institutions, its buildings ... For lodging, I have no word so much that it was perfect. James was great and we did not miss anything. Thank you again for staying at the airport. I advice James for the future traveler. A very nice trip. Long live America

This private Br w/ shared bath just down the hall is ideal for 3-6 guests. Clean & comfortable. 100% great time!
Just a block away from the 6 train (email hidden). 3rd Ave. and a few more blocks from the 4,5, 2 train is this amazing 3 bedroom 2 bath duplex in a brown stone. 3 stops and 20 Minutes away from Grand Central. 4 stops to Union Square/ NYU. Any destination in the city is within your reach. The house sits on a quiet, tree-lined block, and filled with an abundance of natural light. The house was recently renovated, and is always clean, and peaceful! The 1st floor of the apartment has the kitchen where daily breakfast is served. Living room has a large couch and arm chair, 60" a desk with computer for your use upon request. Guest room comes with two NEW queen sized beds and another twin trundle, full dresser and vanity, nightstand, small couch and air conditioner! This room is just down the hall from the bathroom which will be stocked with fresh towels, and toiletries are available on request. The 2nd floor has the washer-dryer, along with our room
The apartment is just a block away from the train, with plenty of different restaurants (even Thai & Sushi are available for delivery), and shops. I would highly recommend checking out the clock tower by the water and the new Art Gallery which opened up down the block. The police station on the corner is across from several local delis and convenience stores.
  • Nice place, very easy going people. Thankful to them for arranging this place for us at the last minute when our other rental plan fell through. Also, their pets are super cute!

    Puneet2015-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • The house is exactly like it is described, more spacious than expected, clean and warm. I loved the decoration, feeling that i was in a typical New Yorker House. The subway (line 6) is only 2 minutes walk from the house, in only 20 minutes we are in Central Manhattan. I didn t meet Alexes, but he was very helpful in providing me the indications to the apartment and the key (an efficient opening system:-)) Anna was very nice and kind at the reception, answering all my questions and letting me feeling at home. The dog Mia is so cute and loving, you don't even notice she's living there. I would definately recommend Alexes' and Anna's place. Specially if you are a family as everybody can fit in the room. Thanks A&A

  • The apartment is very conveniently located.

  • Lovely apartment, affordable and very easy to find

    Fintan2016-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • Chip, Alexes, and Anne were some of the nicest people we had ever met. The room and house were comfortable, warm, and inviting and felt exactly like what you'd expect out of a stereotypical New Yorker's apartment. We saw Chip the most and he truly went above and beyond to make every part of our stay a joy. Breakfast was available every morning and Chip was very accommodating with our preferences. We felt like friends who had come to visit for a weekend rather than people who had simply rented a shared space. We will definitely be visiting again, no questions asked.

    Austin2015-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Chip and Anne were helpful, welcoming, unobtrusive. The apartment is really spacious, especially by NY standards. The location was perfect for us. Being right around the corner from the 6 train, it was convenient for getting even subway newbies from the provinces like us to the upper east side, Central Park, Grand Central and other sights. The neighborhood is a little gritty, but the historic police station, library, brownstones and other architecture are great. St Jerome's Church a block away is awesome. Easy to come and go early and late with the coded entry system. Coffee and muffins in the morning. Street parking not as difficult to find as some New York locales.

    Anita2016-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The host greeted us when we arrived and allowed us to check in early. However, the place wasn't as clean as expected and breakfast was not provided.

    Zeeshan2016-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • All the time they were attentive to my arrival and what I needed. The department in general is not clean and needs better maintenance. Therefore the veracity of things is not good. They have things for morning coffee, cookies and cereal. But they do not give breakfast. The departamentl is in a safe neighborhood but not beautiful, however it has a great location and the subway is 3 minutes walking. The apartment is a good place, but you need to see some things like cleaning the house. Leo

*15 min to Manhattan Gorgeous room with private bathroom inside the room in the heart of Brooklyn!! The perfect place to rest and recover a busy day out sightseeing. It's a 2 bedroom apartment. Room with queen size bed in opposite side of long spacious apartment. You will not hear any noise! The kitchen and the living room are a lovely warm place to enjoy the company of friends over a cup of coffee (we wouldn’t dream of leaving you without a coffee maker!)
Very nice popular area with a decent amount of trendy coffee shops, smoothie bars and the best graffiti in NYC!! It has a nice vibe going and several used/vintage items stores also. Excellent train ride across and great views of Manhattan!
  • Maria's space is clean, open and bright. I personally loved the neighbour because it is safe but not gentrified, also extremely easy access to the MTA. Maria made communication very easy, and as was eager to make our stay comfortable and worthwhile. I would rent again!!

Thanks guys for making our stay so much fun!

Your oasis in Manhattan is a two-minute walk to the subway (A/C/D/B), 12-minutes to Times Square, and 30 minutes from LGA. Our sleek and spacious one-bedroom garden apartment allows you and your friends or family to relax after a day of work or sightseeing. Experience one of Manhattan's most vibrant and historic neighborhoods. Parks, cafes, jazz clubs, shops, restaurants and tree-lined streets are just outside. This is a new listing; see reviews for our other property, at the link below.
This is the garden (ground-floor) apartment of a brownstone in Harlem. You have the complete apartment with your own secure entrance. There is a bedroom, bathroom and a spacious common area with kitchen and sit-down breakfast bar, living room and dining area. Marble countertop, Miele oven and stovetop are featured in the fully equipped kitchen. A dedicated work area, with a desk, anchors one end of the large bedroom. A hallway separates the living area from the bedroom, providing privacy when the living area is used as a second sleeping area (sleeper sofa, with one pull-out twin bed and one single couch sleeping space). This private apartment is on a lovely, tree-lined block, with cafes, shops, banks, drug stores and the subway a few steps away.
Within a four-block radius you'll find a park with an olympic-size swimming pool; famous Harlem churches with gospel music on Sundays; trendy restaurants and ethnic eateries (Yemeni, Spanish, Japanese, Jamaican, Soul Food and more); large and well-stocked grocery and drug stores; a farmers market; many churches (with gospel music on Sundays); jazz clubs, health clubs and yoga studios; and historic homes galore. The Manhattanville Cafe, 50 meters away, is you local coffee shop and a great place to hang out and write that screenplay you've been meaning to start. Try The Edge, three blocks south, for lunch, dinner or brunch with a Jamaican flair and lots of hospitality. Jacob's Soul Food restaurant is around the corner!
  • We really enjoyed our stay . The accommodations were really cute and cozy, very comfortable for our needs with all the amenities we needed. • A very nice and cozy home, especially for a couple.

    Zifeng2017-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a good size, and in an area that's close to the subway, right around the corner. There are also plenty of nearby stores including Starbucks and a grocery store on the next block. This place is clean, stylish, an quiet with a nice kitchen bathroom and spacious bedroom. The only thing i would change is the temperature. It was pretty cold even with trying to change the temperature. It would take awhile to heat up but it wouldn't stay on a specific temperature or even go to the temperature i set, its probably automatically timed for a certain temperature depending on the time. There is a space heater provided, but i didn't use it because I'm likely to forget it was on and fall asleep. It wasn't too bad though, we had blankets, so just bring some extra blankets along with you to have on the couch while you watch tv. All in all it was a great value and a really spacious place for New York. I would stay here again.

  • We had a great stay. The apartment is close to the subway and there’s a nice grocery store a couple of blocks away. We had brunch at The Edge and The Grange both of which were very good. They fill up fast so get there early. We loved the neighborhood and will be back soon.

  • We all really like this place, everything about it was perfect. It was a real home away from home feeling. It was tastefully decorated with lots of conveniences. The neighborhood was really great and maybe because it was Thanksgiving Weekend, everyone was in high spirits and really friendly. We plan on coming back! • I didn't see Al but she was really quick to reply and sent some very clear info about her place. She was also very flexible and agreed that I could leave my luggage early morning, before the check-in. The place is as described, a little bit noisy as it's close to the Queens bridge (but hey, this is NYC!). It's a ground floor so the window is very small and you can't really have fresh air. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom is quite small. I'm not sure you can really have access to the rest of the place (= kitchen and living room), as the door to the living room as closed when i was there, which is a shame compared to other R bnb. Overall, good experience!
