Very nice home in a beautiful historic neighborhood on Algiers Point. It's quiet and very different than the bustle of the French quarter. The Ferry ($2/trip) was easy to navigate on the way from Canal St. But as Karen, a former restaurant owner and excellent Chef, told us, "A B&B is really all about the breakfast" and she did not disappoint. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Ian2017-05-15T00:00:00ZLocated in historic Algiers, the house and the host were amazing. After a full day of driving we enjoyed a leisurely walk a few blocks to the ferry ( which runs every half hour ) and crossed into downtown. That evening we relaxed on our private balcony, with a full moon, beautiful breeze and unbelievably quiet neighborhood. The room was large, complete with mini fridge, table and chairs. Charismatic and outgoing, Karen our host insisted we have her delicious home cooked breakfast before departing. Whether you are spending one night ( which is too short ) or a week, Karen's place is a must stay. I will be back. Jeff - Tampa Florida USA
Jeff2017-05-11T00:00:00ZKaren is just a wonderful host! Best breakfast ever!
Karina2017-05-10T00:00:00ZThe host canceled this reservation 63 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
eric2017-05-10T00:00:00ZExcellent location & wonderful food!
Joann2017-05-08T00:00:00ZCharming historic home out of the hustle and bustle of NOLA. Karen and Kelly were very accommodating and Karen's food was wonderful - a real treat. The value was good based on location. Historic Algiers is a wonderful off the beaten path area that is worth seeing.
Debra2017-04-24T00:00:00ZOur stay can be summed up by my steady's words the last night we were there. Scott looked at me and said "We are so spoiled..." And that is how we felt! We came to NOLA for the FQ Fest and stayed at Casa Pelican for 6 nights. "Welcoming" was the operative theme for our whole visit. Karen, Kelly, Pork, Gumbo, Minnie, the "cluck cluck" girls, and the neighbors we passed each day on our way to and from the ferry all made us feel right at home. We knew we were in a special place when we rolled in after a long drive to the smells of yummy Creole and Cajun cooking. Chef Karen had just finished a cooking class and offered us dinner from the "leftovers". Gumbo, jumbalaya, and etouffee with a glass of wine were just what the doctor ordered. A historic house with a big comfy bed and an upper balcony to sit and watch the moon and the distant lights of NO from......a delicious, creative breakfast using local goodies prepared by Chef Karen and served with a warm greeting each morning at the time we wanted it....A levee a few blocks away to walk/run/bike on while watching the muddy Mississippi.....A historic neighborhood filled with fascinating architecture and fragrant flowering plants....local unique bars and coffee shops with stories to tell..a $2 ferry ride to the Quarter where walking and trolleys get you where you want to go (We never used our car the entire time)..and the extra special gift of sunny low humidity days ending with breezy nights so cool we left our balcony doors open and slept like babies. Historic Algiers was the place to be after long music filled days in the Quarter. We also had time to visit the beautiful sculpture and botanical gardens in City Park. Great food to be had everywhere and Karen and Kelly were a wealth of knowledge and recommendations about NOLA. If you can't handle stairs....or don't like the charms of old homes(this one was built in the 1800s) or the spice of a neighborhood represented by many colors and backgrounds (We walked safely day and night.. and you use good judgement anytime anywhere in NOLA...) then you might want to stay elsewhere. But you will miss a special experience with warm, fascinating hosts. We would go back in a heartbeat and intend to do so!
Susan2017-04-10T00:00:00ZKaren was a wonderful host. The house was picture perfect, nestled in a cozy street in Algiers Point. The location was great as we could take the ferry into the city for only a few bucks. Karen made delicious breakfast every morning (especially the gravy biscuits!) and gave us great pointers on making the most of our time in New Orleans. We would absolutely stay here again & plan to refer any friends we have visiting the area.

This has a very authentic feel including museum artifacts. It is not fancy but location was perfect for my stay during Jazz Fest.
Karen2017-05-09T00:00:00ZAlvin was a wonderful host. The location was great. The quarter was a 10 minute walk. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. The room had a tv, wi-fi, microwave, full size fridge with waters in it, and a couch. If you stay make sure you get a tour of the museum. Alvin will take you through the origins of Jazz up to today's music .
Alex2017-05-01T00:00:00ZAlvin was an attentive host! Thank you
Josée2017-04-24T00:00:00ZAlvin's a great host. Very welcoming to travelers, and he has great recommendations for people learning about a new area.
Michael2017-04-20T00:00:00ZAlvin's place is in a great location, and the building is very cool
Ross2017-04-10T00:00:00ZAlvin showed us some cool places to go and knows a lot about the history of the area. We also were able to walk to the business district from the house and never actually drove or ubered anywhere though they were easy to find when we looked. My brother and I had a great time and never felt intruded upon. Would stay again
Ryan2017-04-04T00:00:00ZFirst of all the location can't be better, we arrive fast a few blocks from interstate 10. Mr alvin was pending at our arrival. The room and bath was clean and Mr Alvin had some fruit, snacks and cold water ready in the fridge. Next day at morning Mr. Alvin had a list of cool places to take coffe, eat or visit. You walk around 10 min (5 blocks) to been on french quarter, you dont need to use uber or car. Mr Alvin is pleasant person who wants help you anytime, He loves the city and know a lot about it. Talk to him is part of the experince when you stay at The Kool Jazz Museum, one of the best option to stay in New Orleans, hope returning soon.
Poncho2017-04-02T00:00:00ZIf you fell in love with this place from the skinny blue two-story New Orleans style look, continue to follow your heart. To stay here is to be a part of a home. Alvin, the owner, is the most pleasant person to be near. Whether he is making Cuban coffee, listening to records, or manning the museum downstairs (which will be commented more on later), not once was the privacy of our stay an issue. The house is beautiful in every way, just the sheets are a bit rough. Alvin had some fruit, coffee/coffee machine, and assorted beverages all ready in the room, ideal for small snacks. Aside from the clean room, shower with great hot water, and consumables, there is the location and the downstairs. The location is ample, with no more than a 15min walk to Frenchman st, where music can be found and 8 minutes to bourbon street. There is an amazing park, the Louis Armstrong park, which is literally 3 minutes from the house walking, a great place to wander. There are coffee shops (yes, many) all incredibly close, 5 min walks. Canal St, the trolly, and all the jazz are conveniently located near the home. The museum on the bottom floor is a journey. It is a collection of paintings, photos, and documents--- old and new, which align to tell the musical past of New Orleans, the birthplace of jazz. Alvin is the most passionate in the field of Jazz history, and will gladly explain the string of connections which is between New Orleans, France, Cuba, Mexico, Haiti, and the slave trade. There is a piano from 1905 which is available for playing if you can! My most memorable moment in the museum was the story of a building Alvin purchased with a friend, to find countless musical contracts on the floor-- some signed by Ray Charles, which are up on view in the museum. Overall, come to this home if you want that homey feel. Come to this home if you have an interest in anything New Orleans because Alvin loves this city and knows the best spots, which tourists usually miss out on. He knows the ins and outs of nearly everywhere, and could not be a better host! We are surely returning, my girlfriend and I, because there is so much more to see, hear, and taste. Thanks Al!

The best landlord! Warm, friendly, always ready to help. Provides us with very useful suggestions and presentations, many times we drove from the airport and attractions, prepare breakfast for us every morning, in the evening will provide hot drinks and snacks. Room very southern specialties, clean and spacious, the beds were comfortable, and equipped with enough towels and blankets. Generally speaking was a perfect experience, if next time we will stay here, also hopes to New Orleans to each traveler Qiang Lie recommended!
Ziwei2017-05-06T00:00:00ZLinda was an extraordinary host and I enjoyed very much my stay as well as our interactions. As an ex B&B owner, I can tell you that Linda exceeds all of the requirements of an excellent host. Come and stay with Linda, I strongly recommend her as a host. She goes the extra mile to ensure that I have an enjoyable time and I certainly did. Thank you, Linda.
Frantz2017-03-29T00:00:00ZLinda's place is the real deal: a true home where you will be treated as a family guest. Linda drove me to my work conference, to the gym, to the grocery store; she provided tours of the city; and she even provided occasional meals. The experience was far and beyond what I have ever experienced with airbnb, and I couldn't more highly recommend her place to those looking for a warm and personal experience.
Benjamin2017-03-19T00:00:00ZLinda is an excellent host, make us feel like home. very sweet, kind & thoughtfulness. Victorian style house decoration, close to Convention center , warm breakfast. Even pick us up & drop off to Convention Center & airport with tiny fee, we really appreciated & defiantly will stay in her place when we come back to New Orleans.
Tricia2017-03-06T00:00:00ZMs Linda is such a phenomenal person. She is the true definition of southern hospitality. I would recommend everyone to book with her. Her home is very clean, she communicated with me, and was very helpful with places to go and things to do. She's a awesome cook and she has wonderful conversation. Ms. Linda goes above and beyond and is the sweetest lady in New Orleans. I will definitely book with you again.
tya 2017-02-20T00:00:00ZLinda is the most hospitable sincerely friendly host. She went out of her way to make my stay perfect. The room was comfortable and the breakfast delicious. We shared good conversations and her knowledge of the area and attractions was very helpful. I really felt at home.
Audrey2017-02-13T00:00:00ZIf you want to enjoy true southern hospitality, Linda is your host. I was in a difficult spot and Linda seemed to make all of my troubles go away. Not only was I put at ease, Linda went above and beyond to provide for me, which she did not have any obligation to do. Yet, I had all of the privacy and autonomy that I needed to accomplish responsibilities or targets of my trip. If you want to be pampered, spoiled, and still enjoy your privacy; I would recommend Linda! Linda is also a great resource for history of New Orleans, well versed on attractions such as plantation visits, and she enjoys the local culture atmosphere, and if schedules permit will even go with you to some. We had a great surprise of discovering a festival in Old Algiers, and made an impromptu visit for almost one hour. What a treat!
Denise2016-11-12T00:00:00ZLinda was born to do this, and also to make city driving, because it is very professional, helpful, friendly, open to any proposal and very very generous. I've got to get to the airport on arrival, and took me back to the start. In the few occasions we did the rounds of the city together and his explanations always on time. He knows many details of the city. In short, a perfect company. Thanks Linda.

It's a beautiful and artistic place to stay. The neighborhood looks scary but we had no issues with parking. Unable to check in earlier than 2pm. But Iris does allow you to leave your luggage in the entrance area before check in. You may or may not get keys to your room, which is unsafe considering host has 4 rooms for rent. We did not get keys. Overall okay experience, wouldn't stay here again.
Denise2017-05-12T00:00:00ZThis is one of the best, if not the best Air bnb I've stayed at. Iris is an amazing human being and was very hospitable to me. It made me feel like home. I highly recommend using this place. 5 stars.
Ronald2017-05-10T00:00:00ZWonderful!
John2017-05-08T00:00:00ZGreat house to stay at in NOLA. Spacious, clean, and feels super homey. Only a 5 minute lyft or uber ride to the French quarter. Definitely would consider staying there again for a short trip.
Megan2017-05-07T00:00:00ZDidn't have a chance to meet Iris as we were in late and checked out early, but everyone else staying there seemed very nice and the house was large and lovely.
Sarah2017-05-01T00:00:00ZIris helped us with our pre-travel consultations, was very friendly. The neighborhood is somewhat lonely to walk at night. The room was comfortable but it's an old house. It is simple, clean and tidy.
Olivia2017-04-30T00:00:00ZIris's place is lovely and in a great area, felt very safe and welcomed
Esther2017-04-26T00:00:00ZIris is a very friendly host and made our stay very comfortable. The two bathrooms were great for my friend and I to get ready at the same time. Each room is so cute and thoughtfully decorated and the house was always clean and welcoming. The house was about a 20 min walk to the French quarter, although we wouldn't have felt safe walking through the neighborhood at night. The Uber to French quarter from the house was between $6 and $8. Iris also gave us lots of great suggestions of things to do and places to visit. I recommend this place!

This B&B is the perfect location. It's about two blocks from Frenchman street. Frenchman street has a great vibe with good music, food, and shopping. They also have an outdoor art area where many local artist sell things. It's not every night, but well worth seeing if you can. Bob and Michele recommended a great restaurant on Frenchman above the apple Barrel bar. Delicious and worth the long wait. Not the best service there, but if you can see past the service and laugh about it the good is with it. At the B&B, each morning we were treated to wonderful cooking! Juice, coffee and tea as well. Bob and Michele are so inviting. They had lots of good advice for activities. For parking, they do offer if available, to park your car in the garage. We parked on the street and we're able to find a spot within a block. We did go at a down time so parking might be more difficult during a festival. We did drive to the French Quarter, parking at a paid lot near the river. Close to the B&B is a trolley line as well. The place is so clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were comfortable and we slept like a rock. Even with a bar next door, being on the second floor we hardly heard a thing. If you do have bad knees, stay on the first floor. The stairs are very steep. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone. It's the perfect stay! Thank you Bob and Michele for a wonderful stay!

Looooved staying with Phyllis! The cottage is cozy & very homey. The porch is the perfect morning coffee spot. Her garden is so lovely & welcoming. She was very easy to communicate with; so friendly & sweet! The area is really cool, too. We ended up in two different art galleries within a minute walk from her home.
Allie2017-05-16T00:00:00ZPhyllis was a delight and we enjoyed staying there a lot. If you're going to be in that area make sure you have a car because there's some walkable (and very hip) restaurants, but you're going to need a vehicle to get to the tourist-y attractions. It's a small room and bathroom, but the porch is great, spacious and that's where you should be spending most of your time. It's a really nice place to relax.
Mike2017-05-13T00:00:00ZPhyllis was a lovely host and her cottage was the perfect home base during jazz fest. My brother and I stayed with Phyllis during the 2nd weekend of jazz fest. It was surprisingly cold and rainy for a couple of days during our stay and Phyllis was very attentive -- making sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. The porch and backyard space were awesome once the sun came out. We enjoyed walking to great restaurants in the neighborhood and easily biking or ubering to other areas of the city. All around great stay!
Liz2017-05-07T00:00:00ZThe place is small but had everything we needed. The screened in porch was great. Phyllis was a great host and very helpful with tips about transportation, eating and drinking.
brian2017-05-01T00:00:00ZWe had a wonderful stay at Phyllis' cottage! Phyllis was accommodating to work with upon our arrival from out of state. She was wonderful to talk to and obviously knows a great deal about the area and loves where she lives. The air conditioned cottage waited for us after a long day of flying and she made it easy for us to get in and get settled. The cottage was clean and stocked with everything we needed including waters, coffee, juices and more. Her garden area is beautiful to sit in and admire with a morning coffee or glass of wine. The cottage is quaint and perfect for one or two guests. We loved being able to walk to some great local food spots and take a five minute ride into the French Quarter. It was a great location for getting to the sights and made it easy to find our way around. We can't wait to go back and explore more. We had an excellent stay and would recommend!
Kelly2017-04-23T00:00:00ZMy partner and I LOVED our stay with Phyllis. She was so hospitable and gave great suggestions on where to visit. Highly suggest walking the river walk to the French Quarter but it's also only about $7- $8 to uber to most places. The place was cozy and definitely had the New Orleans flare we were looking for. Very clean and very accommodating, would definitely stay there again in the future.
Meagan2017-04-15T00:00:00ZWe had a great time at Phyllis' place. The outside area with the comfy couch is fantastic. The inside of the hut is basic, but has all you really need. Check-in was very easy and convenient. Phyllis even turned AC and radio on for us before we arrived. Overall we had a very pleasant stay. Also good value compared with what a hotel in the French Quarter would charge.
Martin2017-04-03T00:00:00ZWe loved staying in Phyllis's beautiful Bywater getaway. It's a small cottage in the back of her home, tucked away in what feels like a little enchanted garden. She's got a lovely screened in porch with cozy couches & plants that is perfect for morning coffee or enjoying the beautiful sun. Phyllis was wonderful--fun to talk to and a very helpful host. It's the perfect place for a couple, and a wonderful way to visit New Orleans.

Miriam was a wonderful host and a breath of fresh air. She showered us with her contagious warmth and hospitality upon our first meeting and made us feel so welcome to her home and her town. Her home is lovely and charming and was a perfect place for a pair of sisters experiencing New Orleans and JazzFest for the first time. She stocked our room with snacks and provided plenty of brochures for sightseeing attractions and city tours. The fridge was also stocked with water, soft drinks, and even eggs and bacon so we could save a trip to the grocery store. Parking was very convenient, private and secure, and it was also nice to know her son was just next door if we had any questions or concerns during our stay. Her son is as equally warm and hospitable. He was so generous to give us VIP passes to a hospitality tent at JazzFest where we enjoyed lounging and complimentary drinks. We couldn't thank him enough for the gesture and for helping make our first JazzFest so memorable! We're already looking forward to our next visit to New Orleans and can't to stay with Miriam again!
Angela2017-05-07T00:00:00ZMiriam is an awesome host. She didn't mind us checking in at 10am or checking out well into the afternoon. She is very welcoming, sweet, and friendly. Definitely recommend!
Tony2017-03-19T00:00:00ZGreat host easy to get in contact with not far away from the french quarter. The room was nice everything you needed to be comfortable. My first time using air bnb and it was a great experience.
Benjamin2017-03-12T00:00:00ZWe stayed at Miriam's place for just 1 night. She made us feel very comfortable, very easy to communicate and get in touch with. She let us check in earlier because we were already there. We were gonna get some groceries but once she showed us the fridge we didn't need to, it was stocked with drinks and food. Her place is very clean and in a safe place, close to the French quarter. She recommended we eat at Melba's and we didn't do so until we were leaving the city, I'm glad we did because the food was delicious!
Ariana2017-02-26T00:00:00ZMs Miriam was the best host! She made our stay pleasurable. She went above and beyond to make our stay a home away from home. She was knowledgeable about the city and everything going on. She was very down to earth and was easy to stay in contact with. She was very understanding with our accommodation. Will definitely stay with her again. Highly recommend anyone else to say with her as well.
Kimberly2017-02-19T00:00:00ZLocated 10 minutes drive from the french quarter home of Miriam is comfortable cozy fun in a popular suburb of New Orleans. Miriam is very generous and welcoming available. She even served as a guide to show us and recommend us places to visiter.A recommend.

Donna2017-05-15T00:00:00ZThis is a beautiful home in a quiet residential neighborhood. Denise is very nice. I was upgraded to a separate apartment!
Allen2017-04-25T00:00:00ZWe enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house. Denis was very flexible to check us in at a late hour and provided with all the necessary guidance. The room is neat and good to share for two people. The house is located in a beautiful street of a quiet residential area. It is a bit of a distance from the French quarter but if you don't mind a 30 min walk or a taxi this will not cause any problem. We did enjoy our stay.
Oxana2017-04-15T00:00:00ZDenise, like her home, was a beautiful host. We appreciated her southern hospitality and generosity. She's an expert on NOLA and was eager to lend her expertise.
Linsey2017-04-08T00:00:00ZDenise is an exceptional host! Her home (and neighborhood) is absolutely beautiful and unique and the friends of hers that we met were wonderful as well! It's close to shops, restaurants, and City Park (and just a short Lyft or Uber from the Quarter). She answered any questions we had and provided some wonderful suggestions for restaurants and things to do. My husband and I are so happy we stayed at her home!
Sunni2017-04-03T00:00:00ZDenise's place is so lovely, in a quiet and nice neighborhood. The sunroom is such a lovely place to spend your mornings relaxing in. All tourist locations are an eight to ten minute ride away. Her dog is beyond adorable and Denice is so kind and helpful! 100% would stay again.
Kimberly2017-03-21T00:00:00ZDenise is one cool lady with an equally cool house. She gave us a lot great information and suggestions on where to go. The house was in a great location for us. We were able to explore city park and also kayak down Bayou St. John while still being quick drive from all the french quarters. It was a great experience!
susan2017-03-16T00:00:00ZMe and my boyfriend stayed with Denise during Mardi Gras. Her house was a welcome change from all the hustle and bustle in the center, situated in a lovely quiet neighbourhood. We were really happy about the two bikes Denise provided us with. Especially because Ubers were ridiculously pricy or often unavailable because of Mardi Gras. We were happy with the room, as other reviews already mentioned, you have enough privacy while staying in an (utterly beautiful!) House. Denise was always happy to help if we had questions. We can recommend staying here to anyone!

Darren2017-05-08T00:00:00ZSully mansion exceeded all expectations. Gorgeous mansion with a superb location in the heart of the glorious garden district. Inviting front veranda ideal for sipping chicory coffee in the morning or a perfect place to end the day with a glass of wine. Melinda and mansion dog, Henri are most welcoming. We were treated like family. Relaxing music plays on the main floor where a 5 star breakfast awaits you each morning. Spacious well appointed bedrooms with comfy beds and the rooms were also very quiet. Couldn't have asked for more. The mansion completely enhanced our Jazz fest Nola stay, creating happy lasting memories.

Lindsay is a wonderful host and the Okra Inn is a beautiful, comfortable house to stay in. We loved the house and especially having ceiling fans! It's also right off the street car, making it quite convenient to get around by public transport. Highly recommend it, we will be back!
Archana2017-03-20T00:00:00ZMy roommate and I had a great two night stay at The Okra Inn. The house is pretty cute, I loved all of the furniture and art. The neighborhood is quiet but in a great location to grab public transport or an Uber. I didn't have trouble finding parking space which was a big plus. There is a Walgreens right next door so if you need anything that makes it super convenient. Lindsay was extremely nice and communicative. Thanks again for a good stay!
Olivia2017-02-23T00:00:00ZIt's an old house w some charm. It's definitely convenient to cable car pickup. I liked the neighborhood. Lindsay was helpful. I was disappointed in the room I slept in. It was shabby and seemed dusty.
joyce2017-02-06T00:00:00ZWe had a very amazing, easy, and comfortable stay with Lindsay! I Highly recommend staying there!
nadine2017-01-16T00:00:00ZWe had a flexible check in time after 3pm. Lindsay was readily available. The location was safe and close to the trolley stop. Our room and common space were clean and comfy
Philip2017-01-06T00:00:00ZLindsay's house is lovely, a great little piece of New Orleans - and she was a super easy, friendly and responsive host. Loved the experience :)

Amazing cute home in NOLA! Great location close to the French quarter, Frenchman St and casino 10mins in a car! We loved it there and didn't mind the neighborhood we felt safe the whole time! We would return and recommend it to our close friends and family!
Flora2017-03-19T00:00:00ZOverall good. Exactly as described. Clean apt and friendly hosts.
Joseph Zsolt2017-03-17T00:00:00ZLouise and Terri were great hosts, the home was very comfortable and easy to get to from all the popular spots. Louise picked me up and dropped off at airport and gave me the rundown of where to go and how to stay safe. I felt really taken care of! Thanks again ladies!
Allyssa2017-03-12T00:00:00ZJust for the record, I did not stay here. I booked this for a friend. But my friend told me that her stay was great. The place was very central to other places. Louise did us a favor of getting some packages in the mail as we were not from the US.
Alejandro2017-03-04T00:00:00ZCame to New Orleans for Mardi Gras and was delighted to find such a clean and comfortable home so close to the French Quarter. Louise and Terry were wonderful hosts - both offered lots of recommendations for where to eat and what to see. Terry even made us breakfast! When we got stuck in gridlock traffic on our way in to the city, Louise went above and beyond by sending us directions that would get us out of the worst of it. Room was small, but we certainly didn't mind since we were out most of the day. Whole house was spotless. The neighborhood, though convenient, was a bit rough (cars missing wheels, windows broken into, etc). We never felt unsafe in the house, but we did elect to park our car elsewhere and took Ubers to and from the French Quarter. Overall, a nice home with lovely hosts!
Katherine2017-02-26T00:00:00ZTerri and Louise and so special. Such sweet southern ladies that know everything about the city and are willing to go the extra mile to help out with suggestions, from offering rides to casual check ins to make sure you're ok! I love them. I hope to go back, It was an 8 min uber ride from the house to wherever we wanted to go. Very Close by esplanade but we ubered everywhere :)
Jayne2017-02-19T00:00:00ZLouise is very hospitable and ensured I had a good stay. Great recommendations too! I'd recommend staying here. It was a great experience and Louise is SUPER helpful. Thanks :)
Emily2017-01-02T00:00:00ZLouise is a terrific host. What else can I say? She went out her way to ensure that my stay was perfect. On the way to her house from the airport, the taxi driver inadvertently dropped me off at the wrong location. I called Louise and she immediately drove over and picked me up. In my book that is above and beyond the call of duty. And my stay only got better from there. I look forward to staying here again

Beautiful home. Perfect location. Best NOLA trip ever!
Josette2017-04-16T00:00:00ZJo is a wonderful, kind, communicative host. The lodgings are lovely and central to lots of restaurants and activities. Highly recommend staying here!
Ami-Lee2017-03-18T00:00:00ZI had an enjoyable time in Jo's house. It was very clean and the room was just perfect for staying in New Orleans. In particular I liked the modern furniture.
Hans-Peter2017-02-26T00:00:00ZJo's place is fantastic! Close proximity to great attractions and restaurants, but also has small shops close-by if you need to grab a last-minute bite. Jo recommends a private driver, Mike, who was AMAZING in weaving through all the parades and showing me and boyfriend all the hot spots in NOLA. We would stay at Jo's place in a heartbeat. Jo is extremely approachable and promptly responds to all communications. Bumper, her cat, is very friendly!
Smriti2017-02-20T00:00:00ZThis is a wonderfully designed and equipped rental in a beautiful neighborhood. If your not entertaining while in NO and just want to hang your hat and explore then come home to a fabulous nights skeep this is it.
Paul2017-02-05T00:00:00ZGreat place on Esplanade Avenue with a super hostess. Loved the neighborhood. Just a quick walk to coffee shops, restaurants and a grocery store. Can't recommend Jo's place highly enough. Great place to getaway. I would definitely return.
Glen2017-01-15T00:00:00ZJo was wonderful from the day we arrived until the moment we left. Very hospitable. Would stay here again in a heart beat!
Maria2017-01-09T00:00:00ZJo offered recommendations on where to eat. She also provided toiletries and extra towels and blankets. She was very attentive and constantly asked if we needed anything. The cat was also super friendly.

If you want to feel at "Home" this is the place I couldn't asked for anything better
Vickie2017-04-23T00:00:00ZAnn's place was a God send! This was our first time using AirBNB. My husband and I decided to be spontaneous and take a trip to New Orleans, and Ann's place was just what we needed. Her home is extremely clean and she was very accommodating. The neighborhood is EXTREMELY safe (20 min Uber to downtown) and parking was not a problem. The next time we are in N.O. We will definitely call Ann!!
Janine2017-04-22T00:00:00ZAnn and her daughters were great hosts. Her house is about 20-25 minutes from the French Quarter so it was not too bad of a drive. The bathroom is gorgeous and the room is comfortable.
Sandra2017-03-19T00:00:00ZAnn is really nice and her place is beautiful. We got yelled at by her daughter but all in all it was an ok stay. We only needed the space to shower and get ready for our 6am flight out of Nola, so it wasn't a long stay.
Moyin2017-03-15T00:00:00ZA great place to stay! Ann is very humble and kind! Will be staying here again in the future
Samantha2017-03-14T00:00:00Zi would gladly stay with ann again. she was a great host very friendly and helpful. she all so had great ideas for what to do.
Mary2017-03-13T00:00:00ZIt is 20-25 minutes far from the French quarter. She let us check in early and provided breakfast (something that we really appreciated) but the other days she wasn't there so breakfast turned to be scarce and "find it yourself, do it yourself".
Carolina2017-02-28T00:00:00ZEverything about my stay was great! Ann's hospitality and kindness was extraordinary and really made my trip so much more enjoyable! Her place was beautiful and clean as well! Definitely a great place to stay! I would stay at Ann's place again and again whenever I go back to New Orleans!

Betty2017-03-27T00:00:00ZLynn's place is beautiful, quiet, and neat as a pin. Ideal for a long weekend in New Orleans!
Marisa2017-03-20T00:00:00ZThe place was very clean, comfortable beds. We enjoyed sharing conversation and stories with the other guests over coffee in the kitchen. Kitchen was very well stocked. Location was great and near fun places to eat and drink or catch transportation. I would go again.
Coleen 2017-03-14T00:00:00ZCrescent City Guest House was a pleasant surprise. The hosts Matt and Lynn offer a clean and comfortable alternative to staying in a hotel. We were in a room with 2 beds and private bath. I can't stress enough how wonderfully clean the space was. The room and bathroom are thoughtfully supplied with toiletries, even the night stand had flashlights, ear plugs, paper and pens. If you are particular about what type of mattress you sleep on, you may be uncomfortable with softness of these but we had no trouble. All 4 guest rooms open to a central den and kitchen area. The den has brochures and maps to help you get around. The kitchen is equipped with everything you might want for breakfast.....bagels, english muffins, milk, juice, coffee. There was all sorts of fresh fruit and even a king cake. The house is located on a quiet street with parking and is an easy 10 minute walk to the French Market. We also enjoyed the convenience of lunch at the nearby New Orleans Cake Cafe & Bakery. There's also a beautiful courtyard around the back of the house to enjoy. This place was a great find for the price. Thanks Matt and Lynn!
Jennifer 2017-02-05T00:00:00ZParadisiacal. Highly recommended.
Annette2017-01-31T00:00:00ZPerfect location to explore and visit all the great music and restaurants of the area. Lynn was accommodating with our late checkin and introduced us to our beautiful restful & clean room. Despite being close to nightlife, the spot is quiet and peaceful. Definitely would stay there again!!
Laura2017-01-28T00:00:00ZWell, where do I start! We drove in fromRI and arrived on time, Eastern time, NO is on Central! Pulled up in front of the house, rang the wireless bell and before we knew it, Lynn was at our side. Pulled into the single driveway and was introduced to our guest apartment, just as the listing portrayed. The neighborhood is just as one would expect for NO, old, funky and very well maintained! With all the city traffic, although the accommodations are a few streets away from the downtown, the accommodations were very quite. The hosts live in the front of the front to back duplex. In the rear garden area is a nice sitting area and a peaceful reflecting pond with wonderful waterfalls. Lynn offered a fully stocked refridge and all the breakfast fixings. Coffee setup for each morning and all the dishes are left in the sink, per directions, to be cleaned by the hosts. Our bedroom suite was fantastic, very spacious, wonderful beds and comfy mattress. The attached bathroom was clean and well stocked with plenty of soft towels, which by the way were replaced daily. One thing that was very comforting for seniors was a non slip tub mat that should be made available in all Airbnb bathrooms for safety! The host gave us plenty of info for traversing NO city traffic, using either taxi or Uber. Would return this site in a heartbeat and would strongly recommend this accommodations to anyone thinking about visiting NO.
alexander2017-01-06T00:00:00ZThis was the best AirBNB experience I have ever had! Lynn and his partner were extremely thoughtful, they even left us a bottle of champagne to ring in the new year! Very comfortable and clean accommodations. They provide maid service and a fully stocked kitchen everyday for their guests, which is a rarity. They have everything you could ever need. Highly recommend this place. Well worth the price!

Alison and Troy are the best hosts, period. After we were delayed by traffic for 3 hours they made sure we were oriented, pointed out a close (and delicious) place for dinner right down the street, and made us feel completely at home. Le Pelican is close to so many dining and drinking options, and super Lyft-able. I can't wait to go back.
Rita2017-05-15T00:00:00ZI'd be willing to say this is one of the best AirBnb's in NOLA. Location: The Bywater neighborhood is residential but walkable to bars, live music, and great food. Every uber/lyft we took to the French Quarter was less than $10. The place: Clean, spacious and fully stocked with everything you need to stay comfortably. Game changer #1: The place has an amazing pool. You will have a hard time leaving its side day or night. Game changer #2: Alison and Troy are awesome. Excellent guide book with all the recommendations you could ask for. One of the bedrooms is also full of costumes for those crazy party nights during Jazz Fest, which made our trip even more fun. We will be back and can't imagine staying anywhere else!
James2017-05-09T00:00:00ZCouldn't have asked for a more inviting place to stay. Alison is a wonderful host and the neighborhood has great restaurants and bars. Fun walk along the river to the French Quarters.
Eva2017-04-24T00:00:00ZI will always stay at Troy and Alison's from here on out when I come to New Orleans. What a beautiful and magical place they have.
Sally2017-04-11T00:00:00ZWe had an amazing time at Alison's place! The house was beautiful, and we even got a tour of the rest of the house upstairs. Love that New Orleans architecture... The location was perfect for us and we even enjoyed some down time by the pool. Great house and great people!
andrew2017-04-03T00:00:00ZGreat accommodations in a fun hip neighborhood! We loved the space and the cabana and pool were so perfect! Alison & Troy were amazing hosts!
Holly2017-03-27T00:00:00ZI stayed here with my husband, sister, and brother-in-law and could not be happier! Alison was excellent in communicating with us before, during, and after our arrival. The space was incredibly clean, with great spots for relaxing and getting caught up with friends and family. The kitchenette was a huge bonus, as was having two bathrooms! Alison and Troy were both so kind and welcoming; they even put together a personalized list of places to eat and things to do over St. Patrick's Day weekend. Needless to say, their recommendations were perfect and we were able to navigate weekend events like locals. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quiet retreat not far from the French Quarter with plenty of amazing neighborhood places to eat and drink.
Nicole2017-03-19T00:00:00ZOur hosts and accommodations were top notch! Will definitely come back!

Beautiful old New Orleans home, owner kept and maintained in original and high quality condition. Guests with affinity for culture will be delighted by unexpected access to a vibrant and glorious expression of southern culture. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable, and the common space on the porch is a great place to enjoy an afternoon or evening wind down. Walking distance to the Quartier of about 1 mile, and 1.4 miles walk to the Fairgrounds. Pedestrians to these destinations will encounter a variety of neighborhoods, so a dash of common sense is advised.
Neil2017-05-01T00:00:00ZIt was a wonderful place to stay and they were very accommodating. They worked with us to make sure the experience was awesome and we definitely recommend staying here!
Zach2017-02-19T00:00:00Za fabulous home with a very gracious and helpful host! our group had a great time and would definitely stay again!
