  • Mai was very responsive and communicative, and her apartment is very quaint, clean and cozy. Close to the town of Peekskill, within walking distance to restaurants and bars and the waterfront. We had a great stay and I would definitely go back!

    Megan2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Mai's place regularly this spring while traveling for work, and it was cozy and convenient-- a home away from home! Mai and Jesse were accommodating at every turn and great with communication. The room is a tidy, private space with its own entrance and everything one might need. It makes the perfect home base for exploring Peekskill!

    Harriett2017-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Mai's hospitality was fantastic. The room felt more like a suite and was better than some hotels I've stayed in recently - and I travel for work pretty often. Everything I could've thought of was there already and Jesse offered some suggestions in the area. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area!

    Anjelica2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay - the place is really nice and cozy. There is everything needed - even refreshments. Communication was great - it is nice when the host gives the idea of check-in before the arrival. Definetely great place to stay!

  • Great little place in Peekskill with a private entrance and helpful host. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood in walking distance from downtown Peekskill. We stayed her before heading over to Bear Mountain for the weekend, which is only about a 10-15 minute drive away. Would definitely stay again!

    Tim2017-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Mai's place was great! She and her family greeted me when I arrived, showed me around, and were very available in case I needed anything. Her place is spacious and beautifully decorated, and the private bathroom and entrance were added bonuses- especailly since I had to leave early the next morning and didn't want to wake anyone up. I would definitely stay here again :)

    caroline2017-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Mai's place is a great value. Not many places to stay in actual Peekskill. Only a quick ten minute walk to all the restaurants and bars in town. Perfect for a quick getaway.

    Mitchell 2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location in the Hudson Valley area. CLose to the Peekskill coffee house, and restaurants. Private entrance, and lovely room. Depew Park right around the corner is an added bonus.

  • This is a really comfortable place. Kate is great host. Everyone was welcoming and the arrangements were perfect. Would definately recommend staying here.

    Vinit2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • I made a spontaneous trip to New York and Kate responded almost immediately to my booking request. Even though it was within 4 hours of arriving, Kate and her family still accommodated me even with my late arrival. The house was beautiful and in a perfect location, within 20-25 mins from Bear Mountain. Though I did not meet them due to my late arrival and early departure, I could sense there hospitality and welcome with the fruits and coffee available to me in the kitchen. 100% would book with them again if I decide to visit New York.

    Jeanine2015-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Kate and Mike are the sweetest hosts. They made sure I had everything I needed to have a comfy stay including breakfast in the morning, coffee, a clean towel, etc. The bathroom and bedroom were immaculate and cozy. Mike had great suggestions about hiking nearby. The town has many great authentic Latin American restaurants. I highly recommend a stay!

    Jacob2015-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • I was looking for a reasonable place to stay at the last minute and Kate's place popped up. The bed was comfortable and the room well decorated, I definitely enjoyed staying there!

    TIMOTHY2017-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • We appreciated Kate's hospitality! It was so nice that she was so flexible with our schedule. We messed her about coming to stay only a few hours before arriving and booked then. She answered promptly! She gave us full access to come and go as we needed so we didn't have to keep bothering her. The house smelled wonderful when we came in. She also made sure if we needed anything before leaving us with some privacy. It was a great experience and everything was so clean. We even had access to the refrigerator to store a few things! 5 stars!

This is a gorgeous, newly renovated first floor apartment in a 100+ year old colonial house. The apartment is completely self contained and includes a dedicated parking spot and a patio. My wife and I live in the second floor apartment and are just steps away if you need any help or have questions. The train station, grocery stores, restaurants, and coffee shops are all a short walk away, less than 5 minutes. It's perfect for couples and business travelers.
This apartment is very clean, hardwood floors throughout, and has everything you need. The bedroom includes a queen size bed, a TV and brand new furniture from IKEA including dresser, closets, chair and desk. The bathroom includes a combination tub/shower and double vanity. The open concept living/dining/kitchen area includes a full range of appliances, a small dining table, and a large sectional for reclining and relaxing. All utilities have been recently upgraded. The apartment is heated/cooled by two mini-splits and you can adjust the temperature in the bedroom and the open area to your comfort. The bathroom floor is toasty warm on cold days thanks to the in-floor heating, and you never have to worry about running out of hot water as the apartment has a dedicated tankless hot water heater.
The apartment is a block away from downtown Pleasantville, where you will find restaurants, bars, grocery stores, delis, coffee shops and the famous Jacob Burns theatre.
  • I have nothing but positive things to say about Les and his apartment offering. My experience was fantastic. Les is communicative, quick to respond, and very hospitable and welcoming. I will be returning and I highly recommend Les's place.

  • We had a very pleasant stay with Alan and Lisa. The rooms are comfortable and very clean like the whole aparment. Alan and Lisa were very friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient, especially for people working at Lamont, which you can reach after a nice walk through the woods.

  • We spent a lovely night in Alan and Lisa's home. They were gracious, friendly hosts, and our room was beautiful! Everything was spotless and very, very comfortable. A truly gorgeous and inviting house.

  • this is a really wonderful and peaceful place very near the Hudson river. Alan and Lisa are really nice people. We had a very good time here and drank some very nice wine together. Very warm people indeed. Sitting on their porch is a great adventure. :-)

  • This is an amazing house in a beautiful area. Alan and Lisa were so welcoming. Their place is really magnificent, and the surrounding area is great to explore. I highly recommend!

    Mackenzie2017-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I had a lovely time staying with Alan and Lisa. The house was beautiful and was in a really nice neighborhood, within walking distance from a delicious restaurant/cafe called the Market. Sitting out on the porch in the evenings with a glass of wine was summer perfection. We didn't have a car but had a great time anyway, as the Tallman Mountain State Park is just a five minute walk away. We hiked through the park to the beautiful town of Piermont where there are cafes, restaurants and lovely views of the Tappan Zee Bridge. Definitely worth it to hike out to the pier. Made for a great day. Alan and Lisa were wonderful hosts, very friendly and generous. The room was spacious, bright, private and welcoming. Alan and Lisa were happy to chat with us over a glass of wine and were very inviting. We would definitely choose to stay with them again if we found ourselves in the area! Truly special place.

Come stay in our lovely 1920's single family two story house on one of the best streets in Ossining! The street and house are very quiet. The main floor includes a living room with a large tv and fireplace, a large dining room, a renovated kitchen, and a half bathroom; all accessible to guests and used also by the owners. The second floor has three bedrooms and a shared full bathroom. The guest bedroom has one single bed. ¡Hablo español!

  • Sarah and Jacob were great hosts and my stay in their house was a very positive experience. The place is immaculately clean, and they were attentive to any questions or needs and very friendly and gracious.

    Yuan2017-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Best place ever

    Shihyu2017-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • I will begin this review with a disclaimer that this was my first airBnB experience. That said, Sarah's residence is clean, roomy, and within easy access of plenty of places to eat, the train station, a handful of parks, and at least a handful of entertainment possibilities. If you are looking for something more homely, I would look elsewhere, as they have chosen a very spartan approach to their home decor. I was in town for an event that kept me in the city all day; so, having a place to crash at night was my biggest concern - this worked well. I would not want to spend a lot of time at the residence if I were not busy elsewhere - it does feel quite empty. I would stay here again if I were in-town and expecting to just need a place to crash at night.

    James2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice couple, make you feel comfortable and welcomed.

    Jon2017-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah and jacob's place is really lovely. They purchased an older home and renovated it. The renovations are really nice. Jacob is an architect and their aesthetic sensibility shows. The room is small but very comfortably minimal. The bed was very comfy as well as the comforter. The shared kitchen is totally up to date and modern. Parking is a cinch, right outside. Sarah and Jacob were really nice and attentive. This is definitely an A listing.

Steps away from mountain biking and hiking trails in Blue Mountain reservation. Also close to Depew Park with a running track, tennis courts and kids playground. • Comfortable bed, nice sitting area downstairs, great photos. Never met Raeford. He was nice enough to accommodate me last minute.

    Alvita2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Really liked Raefords place. It is perfect as there are lots of common spaces to hang around in and if you don't mind a small bedroom. Everything that a guest would need are provided, excellent attention to detail.

  • Raeford has a lovely place very close to the Blue Mountain Reservation and a short walk away from the center of downtown Peekskill. He was communicative, understanding, and very accommodating. We had a great time and would definitely stay with him again.

  • Raeford was super accommodating and helpful, his place is lovely, quiet, and a short distance from the train. He was very responsive and the process was smooth and easy going. He accepted our visit last minute and we had a great stay.

    Anna2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Raeford's home is cozy and quiet and beautiful. Unfortunately we didnt get to meet the hosts as we arrived late and left early, but communication was quick and simple and check in was a breeze. Perfect jump off spot to take advantage of some really great hiking. Thanks for the warm and welcome hospitality!

    Eugene2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Nice and quiet. Surrounded by trees. Great windows in the living room, nice place to have a cup of coffee and watch nature. Short drive to Peekskill Brewery. Raeford was quick to respond and v. helpful!

    Hilary2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Raeford wasn't there personally but the check in was super easy. The house has a big garden and is located a little bit outside the city which is nice when you have a car. It's a quick ride to the surrounding trails, parks and lakes, mind, however, that you have to pay a small toll every time you cross the River on the way to Peekskill.

  • Kathi was an extremely thoughtful, welcoming and friendly host who put me at ease right away. She went out of her way to show me around and anticipate everything I might need. Her home is immaculately clean and comfortable in a lovely, green, and quiet neighborhood. I had a truly lovely experience meeting Kathi and a very relaxing stay. Highly recommended!

    Arona2015-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Kathi was an exceptional hostess. The room and bathroom were clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed talking with her and learning about the area. Kathi and her beautiful home were simply the best. Highest possible recommendation for those touring the Sleepy Hollow/Tarrytown area.

    Zachariah2015-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Kathi was the friendliest host I have had at an AirBnB. The house is immaculately clean and her hospitality was great. No complaints at all.

    Marty2016-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • Kathi was an wonderfully amazing host. She made my short weekend trip to the area an absolute pleasure! I look forward to staying with her again in her beautiful home.

    Reid2016-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • Kathi really truly is a super host! Her beautiful home is very appealing and warm. Kathi goes above and beyond what most hosts do. She welcomes you with a very refreshing surprise, and continental breakfast, which most don't! Her personality makes it very easy to like her and want to get to know her better. For long term rentals you have complete access to her home which is a huge bonus. There are too many perks to list... If you're looking for a very nice place to stay, this is it. Short hop and skip from the train and city. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

    Patrick2016-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Kathi and her family were terrific hosts. My son was interning in the area and Kathi provided a home that was truly a home away from home for him. As a matter of fact he was really sad to leave. A week before move in day, Kathi reached out to us to find out what Ian liked to eat for breakfast! She kept in touch with him prior to his arrival and was there to greet us when we arrived. The house is beautiful and incredibly clean and well maintained. It is in a sweet neighborhood and her family* (*both her own and her other long term guests) couldn't have been any nicer. Kathi even reached out to me mid-stay to tell me how nice Ian was...phew!! We can't thank Kathi more for her generous hospitality. Five stars from this 'particular' parent!!

    Janet2016-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • It was a very short trip to Kathi's house-but a great trip. This is a great place to stay for anyone eating at Stone Barns. Literally a 5 minute drive-so after a 4 hour meal it was great to be so close. Kathi was so welcoming and had a nice breakfast/tea/coffee set up for us. The place was clean, affordable and overall a great stay.

Welcome to the Hamilton Library at The Doctor's House! This is a one bedroom suite in a beautiful 1889 Victorian home with a separate sitting room, private bathroom, and private entrance. (Used to be the Alexander Hamilton House B&B) The house is surrounded by enormous trees and backs onto a cliff with beautiful views of the Hudson River. Just a couple blocks to the quiet and quaint village of Croton-on-Hudson.
Your space features a private entrance, sitting room, bedroom, and private bathroom. Separate bathroom and shower room. There is Cable TV, WiFi, a microwave, coffee maker, tea kettle, and mini fridge provided.
Our house is on a very quiet street just a couple blocks from the main village center. It's a very safe, beautiful street. The village of Croton-on-Hudson has a few great restaurants, a coffee shop, and an antique store within walking distance, as well as many more restaurants within a 5-10 minute drive. A 15 minute walk or 5 minute drive to gorgeous riverfront parks. 20-30 minute drive to Tarrytown and Cold Spring, as well!
  • This was our first stay at Alexander Hamilton House AirBNB and it won't be our last! The space is ample, cozy & charming, with good privacy and comforts (including good quiet sleeping conditions). The neighborhood is lovely, a good area to talk a walk and look at nature and the charming village of Croton. Chris & Evan are excellent hosts - easy to communicate with, friendly, and have created a wonderful space. This would be a great place to stay in all seasons. We will be definitely be back for a return visit the next time we're in the area!

    Sidney2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Chris and Evan's place is truly special. The historic "Doctor's House" and the private library apartment are incredibly beautiful and brilliantly renovated by their new owners. The fresh, updated paint and luxuriously high ceilings along with lovely hospitable touches throughout make their place a special retreat. The separate entrance and entirely private apartment feels like staying in your own place even though it is technically a "private room" on Airbnb. Communication was excellent and the easy stroll to the upper village put Croton's great eateries a stone's throw away. Would highly recommend to any of my friends looking for a bucolic and restful escape from the city.

    Liz2017-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay here was absolutely spectacular. Chris and Evan were amazing. Everything from the wine waiting for us in the room to the refreshing pool out back was perfect. They made us feel welcome and at home.

    Kathy2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures don't do it justice, Chris and Evan's place is beautiful! The street they live on is so picturesque and their hospitality is next to none! Overall it was an excellent stay.

    Ben2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a quiet and relaxing stay at this beautiful property. They've done a great job with colorful and classic decor. There are restaurants in easy walking distance, and the only thing we are bummed about is not being able to swim in the pool with that awesome looking unicorn floatie! Chris and Evan were wonderful and helpful hosts, and we highly recommend this charming airbnb!

    Hannah2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Nice private place to stay in the sleepy town of Croton on the Hudson. The room (suite) is beautifully decorated and clean. Chris was very accommodating and responsive.

    Tobin2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Chris' place is great! Well decorated, bed is super comfy, neighborhood is quiet, nice walks to the riverfront or the village center, and sunny pool area with great pool floaties! Would happily return for another quick summer getaway.

    Christina2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Chris was very responsive and easy to communicate with! The place was comfortable and lovely, aesthetically. Perfect for a night or two away from the city! The town is small and quiet, so not great if you're looking for a more lively Hudson Valley town, but great proximity to outdoor activities and a small handful of restaurants.

  • The room is clean, comfort, and better than I expected. Very good location: minutes to shopping center and highway. The host (Fai) is very friendly, and makes you feel like at home. I would not go to hotel, but stay at Fai's home, if I visit New City or nearby area.

  • Brother Fai is a great host. He is very gentle in personality, a good communicator, very generous, and loving heart. His house is so beautiful. The room is great ! Very beautiful, very clean, everything is taken care for. We felt home actually more than home. It is way better than staying at a five star hotel. He allowed us to use his car and even gave us a ride back to train station. We greatly recommencement his place. It will be our first choice in our next NY trip!

    Kamala2017-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • The room was nice and clean. The location was near Bear Mountain, which was our primary destination. Our host, Fai, was very friendly and helped us with directions and also suggested places to eat and shop around the area. We had a nice stay!

  • Great space. Quiet house and neighborhood. Very clean. Comfortable bed and pillows!!

  • If you are looking for a clean, quiet and private place to stay in Rockland County, Fai's place is the place to stay. Reasonably priced, the room is spacious, clean, and bright, as is the private bath. Fai's place is conveniently located to all the major roadways and highways. The surroundings are beautiful with lush green trees (stayed during the summer). Enjoyed my stay and will stay at Fai's again.

  • We had an incredible stay on the farm. It's truly a lifetime experience to spend time with these special animals. We couldn't have been happier. The trailer was very clean and well equipped. In the evening it was incredible to grill outside and enjoy the stars. As a host, Tally was attentive and tremendously kind. We highly highly recommend a visit to this magical place.

  • Staying at Taly's place was AMAZING! It is truly unique and totally unlike anywhere else I've stayed (in 30 countries and counting). It was just an hour drive from the city yet we felt world away. I was surprising my boyfriend with this experience for his birthday and Taly was great about keeping the surprise until he set eyes on the Airstream himself! She gave us a beautiful introduction to all her beautiful, happy animals at Tevaland Farm and Animal Sanctuary, which isn't far from where the Airstream is set up. It was such a personal, intimate experience meeting the horses, chickens, baby goats, pigs, and we even came across a friendly farm dog too. As people who were trying to get away from city life and back into nature, this was the perfect experience! (Also, after recently learning about the horrors of factory animal farming, I SO appreciated being on a farm where the animals are not only well treated but are loved as family members. But this was just the start of the experience! The Airstream was even better than we could have imagined. Our only complaint was with ourselves for not booking more time there! It is extremely quaint and intimate and is all that you need and more. There are fun games as well as a few mind-bending puzzles/challenges that Taly gave us (which was super fun). The place is beautifully decorated and was beautifully decorated with vibrant colors and paintings of nature scenes. Waking up and looking out to see a pond just for us was perfection. We also made a campfire at night and enjoyed the opportunity to actually see the stars! They have acres and acres of land that Taly let us hike and explore and the quiet at night was just what we were looking for. The whole energy of the place was positive, calming, and literally a breath of fresh air. Taly recommended that we do this short hike up to the top of a rocky hill/mountain. Not only were there fresh blueberry bushes on the walk up but there was a stunning view of Manhattan from afar. We climbed on top of a massive boulder that Taly's husband had created sturdy, makeshift steps up to the top of. It felt like we were on top of the world in 20 minutes and we enjoyed the sunshine and the birds dancing through the wind above us. I wondered if my boyfriend and I could both squish into the larger of the two beds but it wasn't really possible. Regardless, I wouldn't let this deter you as it's still perfect for a romantic trip away. We could've spent a week here happily! Taly even left freshly hatched, organic (obviously), cruelty-free (obviously!) farm eggs as well as a whole basket of fruit for us to enjoy. It was such a thoughtful gesture and we definitely went crazy with all of it! I would recommend for anyone to experience the Airstream camper. It's truly...

  • I wish we would've stayed longer than one day. So much scenery to take in. Wonderful and warm hosts. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

  • A perfect escape from the city, we will be back!! Photos do not do this airstream justice! We had the most amazing stay at Taly's airstream tucked away in the mountains, surrounded by lush greenery and the tranquil sounds of natural streams. We were able to take a short trip out of the city and relax and recharge in nature without straying too far. The spot is located on a mountain next to a lovely pond and even has its own fire pit! Everything was designed for a relaxing, and even romantic experience. Taly and Farmer D were such accommodating hosts-- Taly even dropped us off and picked us up from our train station! They allowed us to interact with the adorable animals, many of which were rescues, speaking to how nurturing the environment felt. Taly ensured we felt safe, welcome, and got the most of our experience. Finally, it was close enough to Harriman to enjoy all the trails and lakes, but enough going on at the farm and on the mountain to not need to leave. Thank you again, Taly and Co!

  • This is a fabulous place. If you are looking for a unique and special retreat, and you love nature and animals and peace and beauty, no need to look any further! The accomodations are just as described and even exceeded expectations. Everything has been thought of. We loved making a campfire and enjoying dinner outside, hiking up to the split rock, and meeting the beautiful rescued animals. Such a treat!

  • Our stay was exactly as advertised. Adorable, clean and relaxing. Perfect weekend get away. Taly was a kind helpful host and we loved her farm

    Gabrielle2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Taly was a great host and my husband and I enjoyed our stay in the Airstream! It was clean, cute, and well stocked with everything we needed. We happened to be in the area for a wedding, but this would be a fantastic getaway spot from NYC. There’s everything you need for a great weekend: cooking essentials, fire pit, hammocks, animals, hiking trails, and a lovely pond view. Try to arrive during daylight so you can get the tour and see your surroundings! I definitely recommend staying here!

    Alan & Christine2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a wonderful time staying at Taly's place. I only regret that we couldn't stay longer, but I can promise we will return. The location is perfect and you feel worlds away from the hustle and bustle, but it's actually a really quick and easy trip. Taly is a fantastic host and is always available with questions or help, but also is very discreet and gives you plenty of privacy. Meeting her and her introducing us to the animals was a highlight and not you average experience. The Airstream is adorable, very clean and comfortable and has everything you need. You have a private area with a grill, chairs, and tiki torches which is a fun place to relax. The view of the pond is great too! Make sure you do the hike up the mountain for some great scenery and it feels like your own private spot. I feel fortunate that we were able to experience staying at Taly's place and I can't wait to return. It's really a magical place that you won't soon forget!

  • Nick is sharp and attentive host. He was willing to accommodate an earlier check in when I arrived early and gave me a very thorough run-down of the space and amenities. He is available through phone and text for anything that comes up during your stay, but we didn't need this because everything went smoothly. The only thing I would advise is to bring some dramamine/ginger pills in case the wind picks up - the boat rocked a lot more than I thought it would, despite it being in harbor! Thank you for everything, will definitely be staying again soon.

    Lynn2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I were looking for a small place after staying in the city for a few nights. Nick was very fast in responding back to our request. We booked the boat and within 3 hours we were ready to check in. The house boats was very spacious for the two of us. The bathroom was very small, as expected but there were bathrooms and showers at the marina within a few minutes walk. The bed was very comfy and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need. There is seating on the top of the boat where we enjoyed breakfast and dinner. We couldn't figure out the lights on the top deck but other than that the stay was perfect. I would highly recommend nicks house boat to anyone.

  • A fun way to spend the weekend! Great for a couple's getaway. Nick's a great host. HIGHLY recommend

  • We had a really lovely, relaxing stay on Nick's houseboat. He was a great host, and even picked us up from the bus stop in stony point, and took us on a beer run! We took public transit from NYC, which was a bit long, but doable - especially if you are planning to just hang out and cook on the boat. A few restaurants and other marinas a short can ride away as well. The marina was nice and quiet with great views and a nice pool and grilling area. We will definitely be back!

  • What a great experience. We loved the boat and the location. Perfect for hikers and those looking to enjoy Harriman state park.

    david2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a wonderful time experiencing life on a Hudson river houseboat. The place was very nicely appointed, large enough, and clean. Sleeping on a gently rocking bed was a new experience, and put us both into a wonderful deep sleep. The bedroom window faced the river (it’s the view in the cover photo of this listing). I woke up on the first morning to discover the sun rising over the river, and then stepped outside to walk though the mist on the floating docs. The kitchen is very cute and well appointed. We enjoyed eating at the kitchen table, with the boat rocking, and on the upper deck looking out over the marina. We had wine up there at night, sitting under the canopy, and coffee in the morning. With the houseboat windows open, guests are immersed in nature, with the sounds of geese, ducks, fish jumping, boats rocking, a flag flapping in the wind, and an occasional train. The shower situation here is less than ideal, more like camping in a state park than staying in a regular hotel. Guest may shower in the very small bathroom, but we opted instead for trekking to the marina bathhouse. The shower was clean, nicer than what you will find at most parks, but certainly not upscale. I liked having the opportunity to get out and walk, and felt that the upside of sleeping and hanging out on a boat far outweighed the downsides of using the bathhouse. The other downside was the lack of internet connection. But we just used cellular data. I would certainly love to return to this listing!

  • Ivone was warm and welcoming, and the description of the listing was very accurate. The house was very clean and well appointed. It would be a very convenient place to stay if you want to visit NYC by train or take day trips upstate.

  • Ivone is so incredibly friendly and welcoming I felt very comfortable the moment I stepped in the house. The neighborhood is very safe and the house is very close to the train. The house is impeccably clean and has great energy. Ivone really made sure that I had everything that I needed without being over the top. I am very happy that I got to stay here. Finally, I'm pretty sure that the bathroom had radiant heat in the floor! It was a nice surprise on the cold mornings.

    Dan2014-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • Ivone's place had a very zen, tranquil aesthetic, had lots of plants in it, and smelled nice- I think she uses aromatherapy or something. Ivone was a welcoming, attentive, and flexible host- when she found out that I could not stay for the second day, she immediately refunded the extra day's costs. Also, she was kind enough to drive me around to my interview and to get food, and offered to share organic juices, fruits, yogurt, and brie cheese from her fridge. Overall, a very relaxing, great place to stay.

  • Ivone was very welcoming and helpful. The listing was very accurate. The neighborhood is safe and beautiful. My husband and I would go for walks everyday! The metro north train to New York City is a 10 min walk away. The home was very clean and I definitely felt like I was at home. I love Ivone's dog Ammo. Great experience! We would definitely stay here again in the future! Thanks Ivone!!

  • Ivone's house is near to the train station and it's very convenient. Everywhere in the house is perfectly clean and comfortable. Most important of all for me, a totally stranger in NY, who had never been to U.S, Ivone is so thoughtful and helpful. She gave us so much help and support, like transportation problem, food problem, health problem, traveling suggestions, laundry, ... whatever you can imagine. She is so friendly that you can feel easy to stay at home everytime. I spent a month in her house. It was a fantastic place. I sincerely recommend this house for all of you who want to have a stay in NY. YiHeng Sun 27/12/16

  • We had a great stay at Julie's place. She was always available for any questions and communicated quickly and effectively. The room is clean and pretty, and located in a big old house in a historic residential neighborhood. There are shops, cafes, and restaurants within easy walking distance. Julie was also really flexible with check in and check out time, which was super helpful for us!

    Kathryn2017-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • I reserved Julie's place for my mom, who was visiting from out of town and it was the perfect place for a weekend stay! The hosts were very easy to work with, and the space was comfortable.

  • Thank you for being such gracious hosts! What a lovely, sunny room. The snacks were unexpected treats as was the hibiscus! Who knew you could grow one indoors. It was so clean and fresh and the bedding was deliciously soft and cozy. We would definitely come back. Thank you!

    Rita2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • The spacious, peaceful balcony, bohemian decor, and special touches like yummy scented toiletries, plush towels, full-size hair dryer and quality teas made this the relaxing retreat we wanted. We walked into town and had the best Guatamalan food at Karma Lounge! We enjoyed appetizers on the waterfront at Half Moon in Dobbs Ferry, then strolled the River Walk during a beautiful pink sunset. We toured historic Lyndhurst Castle and the relaxing grounds. The last day, we headed to Bear Mountain State Park to check out the lake and zoo. There are many cute towns and scenic nature to explore within driving distance. The bed was super comfortable, no squeaks. The cozy, immaculate room was dark and quiet at night and the a/c worked great when needed. The fridge fit a bag of our hard boiled eggs, two small cartons of dinner leftovers, 4 small cottage cheeses, and 2 puddings a prior guest had left. The only time noise was an issue was the first morning. The house was built 1920 (gorgeous) and the hardwood floors are creaky. The sound of the resident walking upstairs woke me up pretty early. But I didn't hear anything the rest of our stay, slept well! The positive energy in the room, hosts and home is palpable. The hosts clearly take pride in providing a relaxing getaway for guests, and every detail reflects that, including the thoughtful welcome binder! I'll miss drinking tea on the balcony each morning, watching the butterflies, birds, squirrels and the host's curious cat!

    Lauralyn2017-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Julie's space is charming and extremely comfortable. We especially liked the little details throughout, like the drinks and snacks on hand. Also, the historical tidbits about the property that were in the welcome binder were really cool to read about. Julie's co-host Christina was super accommodating and communicative, and made the whole process a breeze. Thanks again for everything!

    Kyle2016-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Staying here felt like staying at my grandmother's place. The house was in the middle of a neighborhood, and the door was a standard inner door, so it felt like I was part of a family, not in my own apartment. I could hear the other tenants, but none were noisy. With the charming welcome notebook giving the history of the house, I felt right at home. It wasn't perfect. There is no kitchen facility, so no way to cook or heat food, and the fridge is big enough for two cans of soda and nothing else. The light from the hallway might keep someone awake who needs more darkness to sleep. The bed was comfortable but very creaky. The tub drained slowly. But the place was spotlessly clean and they left strawberries from their garden for us. Wifi worked well, and there were plenty of wall plugs. I loved the small touches of decor that made the place lively and loved. Overall, if you like feeling like part of a family, and you don't need to cook, this would be a great place to stay.

Parking is convenient and just a few steps from the room. Ok, the room: spotless, the bathroom with the tub super clean, and I didn't hear them through the house, which is surprising, since he has small children. I don't know if there's easy transportation to NYC, but it's a perfect place to stay of you come in through Newark Airport and rent a car: near the outlets, and plenty of malls and stores on Route 17. I really recommend the place. Will be coming back. Thanks, Esteban! -.O lugar é perto de tudo, limpo, quieto, e o preço é mais que justo. Recomendo.

Great place in right downtown Tarrytown. Close to Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, and Metro North train to the Bronx and Manhattan.
Private, nice, clean, small bedroom in third floor apartment. I don't have a TV available but if you bring a laptop or iPad there is Netflix and wifi. Share kitchen and bath (bath with bathtub/shower). Air conditioner is in the room only, the kitchen and bath are not air conditioned. Breakfast is not provided - however, you are free to cook and use any and all utensils and kitchen things available. Fridge and shelf space is provided. There is a supermarket within walking distance. The space is best for one person - a single bed is part of the room. Another person can stay but please note the second bed is a foam pad (comfortable but less wide than a single bed) and the room itself is small (about 100 sq. ft.).
The room is located directly downtown. There are plenty of great places to eat in all price ranges within a block (or less). The neighborhood is very safe. Tarrytown is very much a destination for people from all over Westchester because of the Music Hall and great restaurants (all price ranges). Hiking and trails are near by, great places to cycle, and easy access to NYC via Metro North Train. Lots of historic sites (Lyndhurst, Kykuit, Sunnyside, Philips Manor Restoration, Sleepy Hollow Cemetery), parks, bike paths, Hudson River. Parking is street parking and can be tight at times (but nothing like NYC). It is also very safe to park on the street.
  • Great stay with Tim whilst working at the nearby Blue Hill Farm Stone Barns, was a great host and very helpful.

  • Great location at an affordable price. Many restaurants on the Main Street to explore. Never had a problem finding parking. At most I would have to park 3 blocks away. Tim was very welcoming. I would recommend his place to others.

I grew up in Pleasantville, I have to say it is one of the best places to live. I am from a family of 7 children so we are still pretty well known in town. This is " Small Town USA" and yes it is "pleasant in Pleasantville" but you need to come find that out for yourself. Strike up a conversation with someone in Black Cow or Starbucks and they will all say the same thing." We looked in a lot of other towns in Westchester and Fairfield when looking to relocate, once we walked around Pleasantville the search was over...
  • Another great stay at Steven's place. Quiet and private, great for one person. Awesome water pressure in the shower.

  • My friend and I stayed at Steve's place for tonight. Steve made check-in a breeze. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The location is PERFECT for walking into town and grabbing a quick bite to eat. Would recommend this place for someone looking for a quick get away in Pleasantville!

  • Awesome space with lots of privacy. Refrigerator, small microwave and Keurig coffee maker available. Use caution on the steep slope to get down to basement entrance.

  • The room is nice and clean with a nice adjacent bathroom and a handy coffee set up if you don't want to go searching for a coffee shop. The town is quaint, but beautiful and near a lot of shops and places to eat, plus it is very close to the train that will take you into the city. A good place for the low cost.

    Alana2017-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent space and quiet. There were Airbnb guests in the other room too, but we were not in each other's way.

    Sarah2017-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is just as described! Nice and safe neighborhood with ample street parking. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. Check in was super easy, and Steven was really welcoming! I liked that there was a fridge, microwave, and coffee supplies so you can get ready for the day. Overall a wonderfully place to stay!

  • From the time we booked until the time we arrived the whole experience was just wonderful. Kathi could not be more warm and welcoming. The house is spotless and beautiful. The location ideal! Thank you Kathi for being so friendly and kind. Highly recommend a stay with you while taking in all the charm that Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown has to offer.

    James2016-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved staying with Kathi. This was our first time staying in a room in someone's house through Airbnb, rather than renting an entire home. We were hesistant before arriving, but we ended up enjoying staying with Kathi better than staying in a place all to ourselves. She greeted us with hugs and a pitcher of ice water, had lot's of information about the local area, seemed to have a sixth sense about when we wanted privacy and when we wanted company, served us breakfast (which we weren't expecting), and was one of the most genuinely nice people we've met. Her home was incredibly clean and cozy, and the bed was so comfortable I could have slept for days. We had a personal emergency on our trip, and Kathi even helped us like we were family. If/when we return to Sleepy Hollow we don't plan on looking anywhere else for a place to stay, and we would absolutely recommend staying with her to friends.

    Megan2015-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Kathi is amazing and so is her place. It's little off New York but i had to work at the Rockefeller Centre and her place is 5mints car ride to the place. If you are booking the place you can be assured to stay in a lovely place full of warmth and good vibes. Kathi is by far the best airbnb host i have come across. I wish her all the best and hope she continues to make everyone happy around her.

Enjoy a wonderful glamping experience up on the trees. Our tree-house is very small, yet cozy and perfect for the traveler that likes to have a different kind of adventure. We are located about 35 minutes from the Big Apple (depending on traffic), just a couple of miles from beautiful Nyack, which has great restaurants and night life. Close to the Seven Lakes in Harriman State Park (a gorgeous place to take the kayak), Near hiking trails, and parks. We are also very close to the Palisades Mall.
The tree-house is perfect for a couple, a parent and child, or a single traveler. It is small, but cozy and perfect to spend the night in. Spend the day exploring, and relax up in the trees at night.
We are in a very quiet neighborhood, close to the library, shops, and city of Nyack. We are close to the thruway, and just a 15 minute drive to the train station in Tarrytown. We are also walking distance to Rockland Lake State Park, and Hook Mt.
  • My boyfriend and I absolutely loved staying here! The tree house was amazing it was cozy and comfortable. The family was wonderful they were welcome and even invited us out one night to listen to Hayden's husband's band! We would absolutely love to stay here again and would recommend this Airbnb to anyone!

    CJ2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was a terrific glamping experience. The place is just as described and the beds quite comfy. Sitting out on the balcony was delightful. The place is convenient to many many things.....restaurants, hiking, music and we even took the train to NYC quite easily. I was happy we had a car. One night we went to Tarrytown for a concert and did Uber for a reasonable price. The price of staying at Haydee's allowed such things. Delightful spot with wonderful hosts.

    Nancy2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here for two nights with my boyfriend for a romantic get-away from city life. It was the perfect little trip! The treehouse is so cozy and the air around feels fresh and breezy. The hosts are super nice and easy going. They helped us start a fire in the pit, recommended routes for the bikes, and my boyfriend and Paul jammed a bit on their guitars the final morning. My recommendations are to take advantage of the bike rental option, if you're into that (medium intensity), and take a beautiful ride along the Hudson River trail in Hook Mt state park. Also, bring a pair of "shower shoes" or easy sandals to walk to/from the bathroom. It's about double the distance that you see from the house to the treehouse. Plan your food; the spot doesn't lend itself to spontaneous meals the way NYC does. We had bought some groceries but when we desired a hot dinner, we found only a couple restaurants that would deliver food to Valley Cottage. There's a nice farm-fresh cafe right down the street called Rockland Roots Kitchen, where we had brunch- delicious! A great place to be for two friends, significant others, or family members. It would be pretty solitary for one. Also it's fun to bring some activities, such as a deck of cards- we brought a guitar and some painting supplies so we could get creative. Overall, it's a really special experience and so worth the price! We will recommend to many friends!

  • We stayed at this wonderful treehouse on part of our backpacking trip. We drove from out of town and were planning on parking our car a few towns over and eventually hiking to it from the Treehouse. Unfortunately, we were going to need a parking permit in Mt. Ivy in order to park there. I contacted Haydee and she graciously let us park our car there 2 days prior to actually checking in. That in itself got top marks from my group. Then we actually got there on our check in day. What a fun place to stay. A/C and heat in a treehouse. How lucky. We needed neither. The place was cozy and had the possibility for a fireplace down in the yard. We chose to sit in the chairs on the Treehouse porch and relax from our days long hike. It was a great find and the hosts were great. If I'm ever in the area, I'll be checking in. I'm afraid it'll probably be booked. I definitely recommend the Treehouse.

    Brian2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • One word of caution: take lots of before and after pictures. Our stay was lovely but what happened after was not. There was an issue regarding damaged goods and it was handled in a very unprofessional fashion. We worked it out, but be wary.

    Liz2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Haydee' s place was exactly what the description describes. We were able to walk to Rockland State park and enjoy an afternoon there and later catch dinner at Palisades mall which is minutes away by car. It was the relaxing, unwinding and quiet weekend we needed!

    Mariana2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • This treehouse is absolutely magical. The whole thing is amazingly well crafted, and the inside is extremely comfortable. The floor is soft and it's insulated, which makes it very cozy, the beds are super comfortable, and it's so cool being able to get wifi and watch netflix while up in a tree. Haydee and Paul are such awesome, welcoming hosts, and they have a wonderful family and really cool dogs. It's just north of the Tappan Zee, so if you have a car it's not too far to the city, and there are some beautiful lakes right around the corner. I feel lucky to have stayed there, it was a truly memorable experience.

    Sean2017-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great little treehouse glamping experience! The hosts were wonderful and inviting! Everything was very clean and we were welcomed with chocolate treats on our pillows. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to explore NYC or enjoy an amazing treehouse experience.

  • Had a great stay at this wonderful home in upstate New York, with a view of the Hudson River from our bedroom! It was great meeting the owner Nelson who showed us some of his fantastic art. Neighborhood is simple and quiet, about 20 minute drive to Bear Mountain if you're looking for hiking in the area. Highly recommended!

  • Andrea was a great host! From inquiry about the listing to our departure, Andrea was very insightful and accommodating. The house is beautiful and our view was amazing. Her recommendations of things to do and where to eat where right on. We can't wait to be back.

  • Andrea and Nelson have done such a wonderful job renovating Casa Hudson. It's beautiful throughout and they are gracious hosts. I spent a night at Casa Hudson while on a two-day bike trip from Manhattan to Haverstraw and back. I was glad to be able to safely store my bike inside.

    John2016-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Andrea is a really pretty lady and Nelson has a cool car. Thank you for all of your help.

    Jena2015-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • I have stayed in many B&B's over the years. Most of them are quaint and usually decorated with antiques and Victorian in style. When I saw this inn I fell in love with the modern decor, and of course its proximity to the Hudson River. The host, Andrea was incredibly warm, and talked to me at length about the history of the inn, which was once a school house. I happen to love interior design and the great lengths people take to restore old homes. I fell in love with the decor, art work, comfort of my room and of course that porch with amazing view. My hostess gave me a tour of her organic garden and gave me the run down of all local places to eat. I chose the waterfront restaurant, which is one block away and sits next to a beautiful park. While I love bucolic B&B's, this one located in an urban, downtown area was a needed change of scenery. I hope to come back within the year and stay longer. There are so many things to do in Rockland County, but I didn't have the time to take full advantage of what's there.

    Monika2015-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a truly great time staying at Casa Hudson, and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a riverside getaway. The house is beautiful, and Andrea and Nelson are gracious, engaging hosts who were available for all of our questions and went out of their way to make our trip a pleasant one. The main street in town is right around the corner and had some good dining options--try UNoodles Snack Bar and Vilma's Bakery--but you'll definitely need to rent a car or be an intrepid cyclist if you'd like to go any further afield. It's easy to get to any of the sites in the area--we drove to Bear Mountain and Storm King, which was an easy, scenic drive--and spent a lot of time hanging out on the house's spacious front porch, which looks out on the Hudson. Our room was large, clean, and decorated with some great art pieces, and also had an excellent view of the river. We'll definitely be back, maybe with friends to take advantage of the second room!

    Katharine2015-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Andrea and Nelson were fantastic. We loved the structure and all of the detail that they put into their house. The history of the building was even more fun, and I urge all that stay there to talk to them about the lineage it has. We enjoyed the view of the hudson and the food options available in town. Even when we don't need a place to stay we might just go stay there for a staycation. Thank you for one of the best stays we've had at an airbnb... Damien & Sonja

    Damien2015-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • It was a wonderful stay where Casa Hudson went above and beyond to make us feel welcome without being overbearing. The room was wonderful and had a breathtaking view of the Hudson River. I couldn't recommend Casa Hudson any stronger.

  • Alex and Hilary and their two boys were welcoming, warm and hospitable. The communication was excellent and they are extremely friendly. They will leave you to yourself if you want or are also wonderful to talk to. Their place is located perfectly just off the main drag of the quaint little town - close enough to walk, not close enough to hear any noise. Not that there is a ton of noise from town anyway. They are close to great walks on the aqueduct and right across from the high school. The shower area is a bit tight and old school, but I used it as a bath and it was perfect. Highly recommended. There is also a great trail that runs along the Hudson rivertowns. Other sights such as the Lyndhurst Estate are within walking/biking distance. I slept very well as the neighborhood is very quiet. They treated me to a great homemade lunch and we enjoyed wonderful conversation. I felt right at home. It was the perfect weekend getaway out of the city. I will definitely be back!

  • This is quiet, private room and bathroom. This is my third week and I have had no (URL HIDDEN) is a third floor area so not good for people unable to do stairs. I love the area. Places very close by good places to eat any neal. It's been a very restful stay, just what I needed.

  • Accommodating and helpful, I can highly recommend Alex and Hilary to any and all single travelers. Since my days were full of family activities, I only needed a comfortable place to lay my head each night and that was what I got. No frills. Just clean and tidy. Since I am only 5'3" I could even stand in the shower which is under the gable of the room! I'll be back!

  • It was a very pleasant stay. Alex and his wife were really kind, welcoming, and accommodating hosts. The room is nice, quiet, and private on the top floor. The house is located in walking distance to the station (<12min) and to local restaurants and cafés. Overall, I can only recommend staying here.

  • Alex was a gracious host. His house was excellent and I highly recommend anyone who is visiting Dobbs Ferry to stay with Alex

  • This was a lovely little place. Very clean and cute decorations (plus a ton of books!). If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely be staying here!

  • Annaliesa's apartment was quiet, clean, and the perfect spot for our weekend in New York. Very convenient drive to and from NYC with beautiful views of the Hudson!

  • Lovely place, close to NYC but a world away. Read directions to find it carefully. Wish we could have stayed longer, kitchen was well stocked.

  • I booked two weeks at Annaliesa's place but actually never stayed there at all. I had a personal crisis/emergency that I I had to leave the area. I informed Annaliesa more than 24hr before my booked stay about the emergency and asked to cancel. I was so distraught and on the verge of nervous breakdown. She nonetheless still charged me for 5 nights stay even though I told her I would not come to stay at all and she could rent out the place for the entire 2 weeks I had booked. I understood she had Moderate cancellation policy, but felt that she could be more compassionate under the circumstances. So my rating has nothing to do with experience in staying at her place, but about my disappointment in her lack of compassion in helping a fellow human being in stress while she could.

  • We needed to find a place close to the town of Blauvelt and really didn't want to stay in a hotel. This cozy and quiet apartment was everything we wanted. It was quiet, cozy, and close to the river. The kitchen has everything you would need. Parking was easy. It was nice to take a walk into the town and see the shops and the pier. The yard is so pretty, with the beautiful colors of autumn and the stone steps. Annaliesa was the perfect hostess. We were coming in late, and it was no problem. She stayed in contact with me throughout our stay and made sure we were happy. I hope to stay again soon. It was perfect. Thank you, Annaliesa!

  • A nice little area. Easy access to get into New York. Great local food. And above all else and amazing host in hostess!

  • Terrific find/ terrific experience. A cosy, well-outfitted, comfortable, adorable apartment. Everything new -- beautifully outfitted! The congenial hosts were considerate, offering great advice on the area, including two farmer's markets, a bike shop, coffee shops, restaurants, great walks, and brilliant views of the Hudson. A great opportunity to enjoy this beautiful area and really special town, in a setting as comfortable as home. Loved the place and hope to return again soon!

Located in historic Peekskill, which is on the Hudson River, the house is steps away from the fabulous hiking trails of the Blue Mountain Reservation.
  • it was a pleasant experience. the house is clean and there are a few interesting books. it would be great if the location is closer to the main st. where there's food and coffee. we are both from the city and are spoiled by getting coffee every morning down the block. we end up taking taxis to main st a lot bc the walk on washington st isn't very exciting. but it's next to the park in a quiet neighborhood - i guess you can't have them all.

  • We were in town visiting a sick family member and Nancy's place met our needs. She was very good with communication and the location was convenient for what we were there for. The park nearby was nice for the kids too.

  • Nancy is a great host and was already at the house when we arrived. The house is very comfortable and not far from downtown. The Bear mountain area is very scenic and the house is very close to it.

  • Nancy's house was perfect for our weekend get away. We spent time in her backyard doing homework and exercise. Her house is very close to blue mountain park which allowed us to explore the hiking trails when it wasn't raining. Nancy was a wonderful host and I cannot wait to travel to Peekskill again!

Completely private large ground floor bedroom with private entry. Luxurious, quiet neighborhood very close to both Irvington and Tarrytown restaurants, shops and MetroNorth to NYC.
Lifestyle amenities include everything that both Irvington and Tarrytown has to offer...from lakes, trails and lovely riverfront parks, shops, restaurants, the Tarrytown Music Hall, Lyndhurst mansion and Sunnyside Estate (home of Washington Irving)! All of this just 40 minutes from GCT. Property is next to largest State park in Westchester (200 acres) with amazing hiking trails.
  • Linda was very accommodating--we had a quick stay in Tarrytown for a wedding and Linda was flexible about us dropping our stuff off early, which really made the day easier for us. She understood we were in a rush and quickly explained all we needed to know. It was also nice that there wasn't a problem coming in later that night or leaving early that morning. We slept comfortably and had privacy in her basement bedroom. There were no issues at all! Thanks for hosting us for our brief but lovely stay in Tarrytown, Linda!

    Lorraine2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Linda's place is in a great neighborhood and our accommodations were very comfortable. We'll definitely keep her place in mind when we return to the area.

  • Linda was a great host. Her place is comfortable, quiet, clean and cozy. I had a great weekend exploring the Halloween aspect of Sleepy Hollow/Tarrytown.

    Karen2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Linda's place was delightfully out of the way in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood, though a quick taxi ride got us to town and the train station easily. The bnb space was roomy and had a big TV and workout equipment. I found the main bed mattress a bit too firm for my taste. Whether you have children or not, the yard swing and big Victorian front porch were a great extra. Linda was a gracious host.
