  • Our stay at Gold Creek Bed and Breakfast in Nevada City was great. The grounds are very peaceful and relaxing. Robert was very helpful and informative and we will be coming back to stay again

  • We were fortunate enough to book the Falling Creek room (think that was the name) last minute. The Gold Creek Inn is a true gem! We were greeted by the owners’ adorable pug, Bok Choy. Robert and his wife were wonderful hosts, and the amenities were top notch. There was 24-hr snacks, coffee, and tea available. We loved hearing the falling water from our room and enjoying the outdoor patio area and continental breakfast. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Nevada City within walking distance of downtown.

    Kristen2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in the Falling Waters room which was beautiful and the view and the sound of the creek made it a very peaceful and relaxing stay. We will definitely go back to visit with friends and we would like to try the glamping too. Everything at Pine Creek is very well done and we truly appreciate all the host did for our stay. It is very close to the middle of downtown so it was just a quick walk to great food and drinks.

  • Lovely place. Best possible place to stay in Nevada City. Steps from everything you’d want to visit/hear/drink/eat. Creekside Garden behind the inn is beautiful. Hey Bob to tell you about the hiking trail that starts near his front door. Great couple of hours.

    Brian2019-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • I’m sure there are many places to stay in Nevada City, but Gold Creek Inn is the one you should choose. Just a great place.

    Brian2019-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • I thought there was no way this place was going to live up to the great photos posted, but it exceeds them! Just magical!

Large, sunny room with bath, in private home. Hot tub just outside bedroom. 3 blocks from downtown Nevada City, pretty downhill (then uphill) walk, so you can have dessert. Comfortable memory foam queen bed; breakfast usually possible on request, coffee always. Because it's necessary to life. Free wifi.
Clean, spacious, sunny room in artsy house. Private bath and shower, big comfortable bed.
Perfect spot - woodsy but short walk to downtown Nevada City. Yuba river 10-30 minutes away, depending on the spot. Good restaurants in walking distance (downhill going, uphill coming back. So you can burn off that creme brûlée.)
  • Diane’s home was beautiful and eclectic. The books, art and furnishings were homely and warm. Diane herself was so kind and welcoming! We spent some time in the hot tub which was amazing, but some water overflowed onto the balcony and we felt horrible. Diane reassured us and helped us refill the hot tub. There was so many small touches that made us absolutely fall in love with our AirB&B. The bed was heated, a bidet installed in the bathroom, toiletries and amenities throughout the room and bathroom. There were so many amazing books to read on the day bed out looking the balcony, chocolates set out. Diane even invited us to have breakfast with her family which unfortunately we weren’t able to take up because of plans already made. However, the thought and kindness behind it truly warmed our hearts. Peach the family pup was also such a peach. We’re so happy we stayed in Diane’s Bed and Breakfast and if ever we stay in Nevada City again we’ll be booking with Diane again.

  • Great location. Quiet room. Amazing scones!

    Spencer2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a quick last minute plan to stop in Nevada City. Diane’s place was absolutely perfect for us! A wonderful, cozy and warm bed was a huge treat for a quick nap when we arrived. It was in a great location to walk into town and enjoy the many restaurants and bars. And in the morning the scones and coffee provided made for a super cozy and relaxed stay. Best last minute trip we could have had!

    Garrett2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • The bright and charming Victorian house owned by Diane and Walter has been modernized to include any amenity you might need. The house is liberally and eclectically decorated with antiques, vintage collectibles, musical instruments and bright artwork. Diane is an extremely kind and welcoming hostess, and apparently enjoys having guests, and is responsive even while being employed elsewhere. Their long-haired Chihuahua was delightful, and he and my larger dog romped and played all over the house and enclosed garden. The room I stayed in, with adjoining bathroom and sitting room, was very comfortable, and the small spa on the balcony overlooks trees, as well as the neighboring co-housing site. One of the most pleasant Airbnb accomodations I have stayed in.

  • Both Robert and Jep were great. The balance between present in the home and having conversation, and leaving us be was perfect for me. They made sure snacks, water, coffee, tea were available 24/7 and the breakfast they cooked for us on Sunday was amazing! And even though it was a self serve continental breakfast our other morning, there was an amazing selection. I will definitely be back.

  • This is an awesome place and value. The hosts were so helpful and welcoming. The room was so comfortable and we loved the bed. The porch overlooking the river was an added bonus.

  • What a fun find!! An easy walk to town. We were warmly greeted by Jeb who walked us through the property & our room to explain how everything works. The property is amazing with charming gardens along the river to enjoy by day or night. The house is a beautiful old victorian charmed with unique tasteful furnishings. The room was very comfortable & clean with special touches & welcoming treats. We could hear the creek below from our room, a sweet relaxing touch. The breakfast food was healthy & delicious and coffee, tea & snacks available all day/night. Bob responded immediately to fix a toilet malfunction. Both Jeb & Bob were very friendly, easy going and available and also encourage you to enjoy the wonderful space at your own pace independently. Staying here made our weekend getaway even more special.

Our Amazonite Room is our coziest room and has a full bed with a shared bathroom. Amazonite also connects to the Tourmaline suite and is an excellent add-on for a full family experience, but can be booked independently. We are an Inn, so there will likely be other guests present in the common rooms (Media room, kitchen, dining area). We have other rooms listed here on Airbnb as well. Our rooms are named after crystals or stones, and the Amazonite stone has a calming, balancing effect.
This 1890 Victorian Farmhouse is conveniently located minutes off the i80 in Alta. (Just take the Crystal Springs exit and you'll find us easily!) Our common areas include an Office/Study, Media Room, Parlor, Kitchen/Dining room, and our famous front porch! (What we’re lacking is internet, but you can easily toggle from your phone if it’s absolutely needed!) We have a super friendly female pit bull named Dot who lives full-time - and though she does love to cuddle, she’s not allowed to sleep with any of the guests. You'll have to bring your own pup to cuddle with (she loves making new friends with other friendly dogs)! If you’re still reading this, you should know that we are NOT a hotel, but rather a home. When you’re here you’re treated like family. We won’t bring you breakfast in bed, but we will welcome you to join our table. We have a Parlor with a piano and many board games, a Media Room with DIRECTV (also in every room) and plenty of DVD movies to choose from. We also have a Study/Office with a small library to sit and relax in. Our front porch is where we gather to have a cocktail or sweet tea and share stories and laughter. When weather permits, we gather around the fire pit instead. Our location is perfect for almost every outdoor adventure. Hiking, fishing (lakes and rivers), rafting, the PCT, boating, skiing & snowboarding, even rock climbing are all within 30 minutes of Alta. Some even start a morning hike right outside our front door! We are approximately one hour from the Reno or Sacramento Airports and 45 minutes from Truckee and a few minutes more to Lake Tahoe! Thank you for considering Crystal Springs!!
We're pretty rural and have very little (almost none!) restaurant options immediately near us. The Monte Vista Inn (steak house) is a few miles down the road and conveniently located right off of i-80, and Colfax has a few more restaurant options, but with limited hours. We'd be glad to help you decide - just ask!
  • Great place to stay as always!! Beautiful house and lovely hosts!

  • Jenn & Jodi were fantastic! So appreciated their warmth and attentiveness. Very willing to meet our needs. An easy drive up and down to Donner Pass ski areas. Will definitely return again. Many thanks!

  • What a lovely gem this is! This is a real Historic Hotel in the midst of beautiful countryside. Wish we had more time to explore the area but I'm sure we'll be back soon to continue where we left off. Our host was so helpful and the room was just perfect. We particularly enjoyed playing pool. Thanks for a great stay.

  • A friend from out of the county was visiting so I thought I would book a historic hotel room, expecting the place to be a bit run down... not at all! The bed was new and so comfy, we had much fun playing pool in the open area right next to our room and hanging out on the balcony watching the moon set and the locals of Dutch Flat do their thing. This place is awesome.

  • This place is so charming, had a great time while we were here! I enjoyed some snacks they had out and it was a great set up. I can’t wait to go back in the summer time. It was great for our quick trip, the sound of the creek when you’re sleeping, also the beds were comfortable!

  • This is an excellent place to stay. I had a room on the same level on the creek, and could hear the sound of the water all night. So peaceful and comfy!! I definitely would stay here again!

  • This was our second stay at the Gold Creek Inn and once again we had a wonderful stay! Bob and Jep are amazing hosts! The Inn is a quick walk to the historic district of Nevada City where there are restaurants and shops. We stayed in the Pyrite room which is on the lower level of the main house. To access the room you do need to go outside but this was not an issue for us. The room was very clean and cozy. There is a very nice balcony off of the room that looks out on to the creek and the beautiful trees out back. The room has it's own bathroom and shower. Breakfast is hosted upstairs in the dining room and is delicious! There is also a variety of coffees and teas that are available 24/7 as well as a little snack bar. Bob and Jep can give you recommendations on places to eat and things to do. Parking is in front of the inn. They also have an adorable pug, Bok Choy, who was very sweet! My husband and I love this place and we can't wait until our next stay!

    Alisha2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • If you are considering booking a stay at this B&B, stop now, don't read any more reviews, don't look at any other places, JUST BOOK IT. My wife and I stayed in the Pyrite room, and first of all I'm pretty sure the bed was made for either royalty or Oprah, it was THAT soft and comfortable. The shower is awesome, the view is great, the little decorating touches are beautiful and refined, the amenities are everything one would need, the hosts are friendly and helpful, the location is perfect (close to everything but right there in nature). You will not regret your stay, believe me. Everything you'd want is all there. And right out back there's a magical wonderland with a stream running through it that's so peaceful and calming, and at night they did such a great job making the lights look magical. Truly we were entranced. Our stay was perfect, and I imagine yours will be too. There's a reason this place is so popular and highly rated. Thanks for the great stay!

    Adam2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • We LOVED our stay. What a beautiful beautiful setting right on the creek. We could hear it while we slept, which was just lovely. Breakfast was delicious and extra special, and we received an awesome recommendation for a hike, which we took and enjoyed greatly. We also had access to a fridge we could put leftovers and wine in, which was a plus. I would definitely come back again.

We won’t bring you breakfast in bed, but we will welcome you to join our table. We have a Parlor with a piano and many board games, a Media Room with DIRECTV and plenty of DVD movies to choose from.
  • This was easily among my favorite Airbnb stays ever; Jenn are Jodi were an absolute hoot. Both Jenn and Jodi greeted me upon my arrival, and I was immediately offered a hot cup of tea and a lovely chat in the kitchen. The room itself was cozy and comfortable, and the bed even had a heated mattress pad for folks who prefer warmer temperatures. Breakfast was delicious and ample, and can be tailored to your dietary preferences (the egg scramble and apple cake were wonderful). I wouldn't hesitate to be back. Thanks Jenn and Jodi!

  • Perfect location for the Donner Pass resorts when coming from the Bay. And the breakfast sandwich was fantastic :)

  • This place is such a gem. I will be staying here whenever I'm in the area! Jenn and Jodi were out of town when I visited, but their neighbor Kelsey was a super awesome substitute host. I really enjoyed my stay here (and breakfast was great - custom scramble!). Also if you like dogs, Dot is one of the cutest dogs I've ever seen. Highly recommended!

  • Incredibly considerate and sweet hosts. Felt like I was crashing at my aunts’ house (except none of my aunts have ever had that incredibly clean and accommodating of a space, or made me coffee and cooked me breakfast at 7 in the morning on my to go Snow Camping). Their communication was so great, and they even let me leave my car there the whole weekend while I went camping. I’ll be going back and probably bringing friends.

  • We booked a night at Jenn and Jodi's lovely inn for a weekend ski trip to Sugar Bowl. They're a little over half an hour away from the resort and it was the perfect place to stay! The inn is gorgeous and homey and Jenn and Jodi were the perfect hosts. They were flexible with our arrival and made a killer breakfast with great conversation in the morning. The room was very cozy too - the comfy bed tricked us into sleeping an extra hour. We'll be back!

    Ellie2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely stay on our way to Tahoe! Great hospitality and they provided breakfast and coffee in the AM. The hosts welcomed us even though we got in a bit later than expected. And their dog, Dot, is a sweetheart.

Situated in the middle of a beautiful, 100 acres property, the 3500 sq-ft house has a total of 5 rooms, two of which have private baths. The three others share a bath. The house serves as a perfect setting for hosting large groups. Located on the same property we have a separate, self contained, apartment that can be rented out as well. Have a peek here: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/24995653?location=Oregon%20House%2C%20CA%2095962%2C%20USA&s=tubMidRS Feel free to contact us, thanks!
Opening onto the lake are two spacious rooms with sliding glass doors opening onto a shared patio area each with a private bath. A third room, with a view of the Missionary style barn and mission bell has a private patio. There are also two additional rooms. All the rooms are quiet and comfortable. For relaxing reading there is a library room. The living room is large and spacious to accommodate the Grand Table and fireplace. The living room connects to a breakfast area and kitchen with all the conveniences of a modern kitchen.
This is rural area but there are adjacent neighbors. The traffic is in this area is low. Just down the road, is the Oregon House Farm Store, filled with charming nick knacks, grass fed beef products and yummy vegetables.
  • This place is a gem. The lack is so serene, the setting is private, and the Inn perfectly accommodated our large group. Communication with the host was stellar, which really matters in a slightly remote location. Having breakfast food provided was a thoughtful touch.

  • This place is nothing short of a REMOTE MAGICAL DISCOVERY if you like being out in nature. I’m a long time AirBnB SuperHost and am used to people renting from me. Needed to find a remote place for my large family over the Thanksgiving holidays. Needed SPACE and functionality. What I got was a remote paradise. The view from the master bedroom is literally waking up and looking out onto the lake. You don’t even need to leave the bed…and the lake is RIGHT THERE, not miles away. Each of the rooms has its own uniqueness and appeal, but as a venue for a family gathering, nothing beats renting out the entire 5 bedroom bed & breakfast. You get modern stuff (wifi, microwave, brand new heater, etc.) but also get an old school fireplace could that be your style. The main dining table areas could probably fit 15-20 people if you needed to – EASILY. There are three tables to eat at and the largest fits 10 by itself, with plenty EXTRA surrounding space. Cool table top games everywhere. Can you say Jenga??!! Kitchen is large and stocked. Everything you need…utensils, plates, glasses, bowls, cooking items, etc. Stove/oven is large and the frig is too. Plenty of space to cook meals, while you have a view of the lake. The main common area has INCREDIBLE views of the lake. My guess is the lake is approx. 20 yards from the house. The house/b&b is not just at the lake. The lake is ON THE PROPERTY you are renting from. You own it practically. You can take walks on the path around the lake, enjoy a row boat in the lake or just go feed the animals (ducks? Geese?). Owner and manager were very responsive to any questions we had. Parking for tons of vehicles. Wine tasting events on Saturdays. If you need to stay at a Ritz Carlton in Beverly Hills, this is not it. If you want that magical feeling of driving out in the middle of nowhere, slowing creeping into gorgeous natural rolling hills and mountains, then down a few extra roads…asking yourself, what the heck could be out here??!! Then you start down the driveway, make a few turns and VOILA – remote paradise. You simply can’t beat this place if you want something LARGE for your family, but want people to have some privacy in their rooms too. This place is magical and an easy 1 hour drive from Sacramento. Enjoy. My family did! I not only want to rent it again, I want to buy it. It was developed by the original founder of Shakey’s Pizza and there is a cool book there that explains it all too.

  • The Frenchtown Inn is great! We had a lovely weekend. Charles' staff was super communicative and helped us check-in, showed us around, even went to a hardware store and bought a grill brush for us! Also the fridge was pre-stocked with lots of breakfast foods, and coffee... This is the perfect place to go out and explore the sierra foothills during the day, and then come back and relax in the afternoon/evening.

    Harry2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • The Frenchtown Inn is wonderful. This was my fourth time staying there and I would recommend it to anyone looking to visit the area. The manager Rafael is always helpful and responds quick! The property is gorgeous and comfortable.

  • What a find! For anyone wanting a wonderful getaway, this is the place. Clean, quiet, relaxing and serene. You'll love the migrating waterfowl that visit the lake right behind the house. You could not ask for more.

Our Jade Room has a queen bed, a private bathroom (with shower only), and direct access to the Study/Office. It is the only guest room on the ground floor. We are an Inn, so there will likely be other guests present in the common rooms (Media room, kitchen, dining area). We have other rooms listed here on Airbnb as well. Our rooms are named after crystals and stones... Jade is known to release negative thoughts and soothes the mind bringing insightful dreams and tranquility.
This 1890 Victorian Farmhouse is conveniently located minutes off the i80 in Alta. (Just take the Crystal Springs exit and you'll find us easily!) Our common areas include a Media Room, Parlor, Kitchen/Dining room, and our famous front porch! • Jenn and Jodi are amazing hosts. We woke up multiple mornings to the amazing smell of baking bread and breakfast being prepared in the kitchen. Their place is conveniently located with quick drives to Grass Valley, Truckee and just a bit further to Tahoe. We had a great time and really felt as though we were invited into someone’s home.

  • It is a wonderful B&B in a beautiful Victorian house with a big fenced year. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The breakfast is delicious and the hosts are most welcoming and interesting to talk too. I've had a great stay and hope to be back!

  • Jenn and Jodi made the stay great. All communications were responsive and accurate. The room was comfortable and nice (Jade Room). Breakfast was not just delicious but fun. We really enjoyed chatting in the kitchen and at the table. They are great hosts and make you feel like you are family.

  • This was our 3rd stay at Jenn and Jodi's and honestly, by now its like going back to stay with your favorite cousins -:). They are simply great people. Our favorite room was already booked this time, and with our youngest kid not being a baby any more we needed a bigger bed. They just let us use the cool sofa bed in the next room for free. To top it off, Jenn served us her latest grand creation for breakfast - an egg & veggies panini! Will be back soon...

  • Jenn and Jodi are awesome!! The house is beautiful, the breakfast is great and they are so welcoming and friendly. This was my second stay. I brought my boyfriend, daughter, mom, two sisters and nephew. We had separate rooms, though there is a big suite which I stayed in the first time that’s accommodates 6+. We stayed two nights for a snow weekend with the family, had a snow ball fight in the front yard, and went skiing and tubing at Boreal, about 30 minutes away. It’s the perfect getaway.

    Joanna2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing couple of ladies. I have been visiting Tahoe for 10 years and they are the first hosts ever to reach out with a snowstorm warning, my last Airbnb host actually tried to encourage storm travel because he shuts the heat off between guests. These ladies are just wonderful caring humans!

  • We stayed at Jenn and Jodi’s for one night when we took our girls (4 & 5.5 yrs old) to the snow for the day. We LOVED it. They are so warm and welcoming. The suite our family stayed in was equipped with children’s books, a DVD player, and plenty of space for our girls to run around. We even borrowed a family movie from their vast collection, to watch at nighttime. Their dog, Dot, is unbelievably sweet. They made the most amazing breakfast for us the next morning. Seriously, stay here. Their home is clean, comfortable, and has so much charm. Some quotes form our 4 yr old, “Mommy, they are so amazing.” “I want to stay here 5 nights.” Thank you, Jenn and Jodi, for such a wonderful experience.

    Victoria2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A gem. Convenient location, excellent communication. Yummy breakfast. Jen and Jodi could not be more gracious and welcoming. I always feel a little anxious staying in the owner’s primary home, but I will be looking forward to connecting with them again, and would be sad if they were not there. Jen and Jodi are like your favorite aunties and long lost sister-friends. Their home is clean and inviting, but they are what make it truly special.

  • We enjoyed the stay at Jenn and Jodi’s place a lot. The room was very clean. They provided really great breakfast. And they were super friendly. And the dog Dot was a treasure to the kids.

  • Executive summary: stay here. This is a rare find on AirBnB: an ACTUAL BnB! And an awesome one at that! A historic house with the friendliest hosts! It has: nice rooms, good breakfast, frequent extra treats (like Monkey Bread), comfortable beds, tons of games and books to use, a fire pit and more. There is also a great dog that wonders around the kitchen and loves you. But really, it’s worth the money just to spend time with the hosts! (Jenn and Jodi, Jodi and Jenn). They are either the loveliest people in the world or they’re really good at faking it. We will be back!

  • Harmomy Ridge Lodge provided us the perfect place for our yearly family get together. The lodge is located in the beautiful historic town of Nevada City, surrounded by the beautiful mountains of the Sierras, but only minutes away from all the town shops. The lodge provided enough room to accommodate our large group as well as spacious enough rooms for individual privacy. The rooms were also very clean and provided all the necessities we needed for a comfortable stay. Lastly, the host was easy to communicate with and promptly answered all our inquiries. Highly recommended!

  • I stayed at Harmony Ridge Lodge for a large family gathering. It was the perfect place for a large group with lots of children. Very comfortable and super well equipped. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and the bedrooms were immensely comfortable. The location was really beautiful with Nevada City just 10 minutes away. There were also plenty of trails for walks and runs right next to the lodge. I highly recommend staying here.

The Swan Levine House was originally built in 1867 and still features Queen Anne Victorian details - 13' ceilings, beautiful molding, large windows and intricate hardware. For most of the 20th century, the house operated as a private hospital. Since 1975, Howard has been filling the house with vibrant art, antiques, and memorabilia in an electic and joyous display.
This beautiful 2-room suite includes the cupola windows that allow morning light to pour in. The view includes the lovely gardens, downtown, and the hills that border the Valley. The sitting room features a working tiled fireplace and a sofa bed. Added attractions for history buffs are the colonial-era antiques and authentic signed documents from some of the country's founders Perfect for a romantic get-away, personal renewal, or as a launch pad for your Gold Country adventures.
The house is 2 blocks from Downtown Grass Valley and less than a mile to the Nevada County Fairgrounds. Plenty of great restaurants and coffee, along with locally brewed beer and wine; fun shopping for all ages; and lots of live entertainment
