Park
“How many city parks have mature giant Sequoias, a formal Victorian rose garden, goose and duck ponds, and a contemplative Chinese garden all rolled into a square block? Some of the plantings date back to the early days of Nelson, including a magnificent Bunya Bunya tree that dominates. Take a quick or leisurely stroll, and all your cares will melt away.”

Park
“There is a map at the start of the many entrances. The closest entrance to the track from this AirBnB is 12min away through a residential area full of historical homes at the end of Collingwood Street. A moderately hard walk up through the hills that form Nelson's backdrop. The Grampians are the big rolling hills behind Nelson, with pockets of regenerating native vegetation and exotic trees. Time: 45 - 70 minute walk (longer options available)”
