  • Great tour! You’ll have fun and learn a lot. It’s also perfect to do at the beginning of a trip if you’ve never been to New Orleans cause you’ll learn your way around the FQ and all the special landmarks and locations. It’ll also help you appreciate things you see more and notice things you may not have noticed before.

Quiet Earth Eco House; A really magical place; Grand Designs Eco home award winner 2008 is a two storey loadbearing straw bale house (first in the UK). A luxurious off grid home, offering a truly sustainable experience in a very beautiful and quiet haven. Situated in St Dogmaels on a hilltop overlooking breathtaking views of Cardigan estuary, close to local beaches and the Pembrokeshire coastal footpath. We look forward to supporting your retreat here and sharing the many gifts of this place.
This straw bale eco retreat home was self built between 2003-05 and generated much attention due to it's unique nature. Please read the full description before booking! It is a beautiful peaceful retreat centre, offering special time to relax in an untouched woodland upon a hill overlooking spectacular views of the Teifi estuary. There are various idyllic beaches within a couple of miles of here and many inspiring walks. We are two miles from the start of the Pembrokeshire coastal path. It is also an off grid home, powered by the sun and the wind and this is one of it's important features, giving one the opportunity to experience living with the elements and being powered by them. Low energy appliances may be used with awareness such as occasional laptops etc. (no hairdryers/ straighteners or heating appliances). The Nature of this place does also invite the visitor to just enjoy being switched off for a while and to experience the gifts of the environment. Downstairs you will find a large open plan kitchen and living room with a wood stove which heats the whole house. There is a downstairs bathroom in a rounded stone turret with sunken bath and rain water harvested toilet. Water is solar heated and back boiler heated in the winter. The house offers a long conservatory to enjoy the stunning estuary views. We have 2 delightful and gentle cats here called Elma and Arthur in the house and then daphne the dog who will be with us in the eco lodge close by. We can arrange at times for the cats to be out of the house and use the conservatory for short periods. If you have serious cat allergies however this may not be for you. Upstairs offers a beautiful and spacious open plan room which offers itself as a luxury bedroom and studio for a couple or a space for family or occasionally a retreat space for a group of up to 8 with low futon style beds. We have also now opened up the large beautiful attic bedroom as an extra room with a double mattress and space for more. This is accessible by ladder. In the warmer months there occasionally is a self contained eco lodge too. The wood fired hot tub will Only be available from early summer at certain discretionary times for long staying guests who can enjoy the ritual of gathering wood, heating the stove and then bathing under the stars. Please note; this takes a good few hours to prepare and so is Not available for short stays due to the sustainable aspect of this centre. The woodland is terraced, with paths for visitors to explore and we are currently developing a forest garden. We also encourage artists and writers in residence to spend time here working in a natural and supportive environment on a project. We can offer subsidy for this also at times. Please note; this is a natural straw bale/ clay built home and we hire a wonderful cleaner to scrub the place...we use no chemicals in the process.. it is perfectly clean in the best eco natural way possible. Yes, there can be spiders and insects around in the summer.. please bear this in mind as a natural part of living close to Nature.
The beauty of this place is all that Nature has to offer along with the gifts of many of the creative people living in the nearby village and surrounding area. There are many circular walks for which we can give directions. We are situated at the beginning of the pembrokeshire coastal path and close to an array of stunning beaches. Our local beaches Poppit and Mwnt have regular sitings of bottle nosed dolphins and seals. Cardigan town is a few miles away along the estuary and offers shops, restaurants, theatre, cinema, spa and a heritage centre. In the heart of the village is a ruined Abbey, a visitors centre and cafe. The village offers a good few pubs along the river, a wonderful deli with homemade produce and cafe. We encourage guests to visit our local produce markets and organic market gardens. Most foods can be bought locally. The gift of this home is that it is secluded in a woodland and yet a walking distance to the village estuary and beaches.
  • We really enjoyed our stay, it was great to get into nature more and take a brake from living in a city. This trip really opened our eyes to a more sustainable way of living, something I am striving towards my self. Lots of land around the house to explore and the wood and log burner kept us warm in the evening. Shop and a pub are walking distance. Thank you

  • This place is just magical! Such a beautiful location, ideal for a getaway from a busy life. The house is full of wonderful little things and quirky touches and is really incomparable to anything else. I’ve booked it for a night only to celebrate my mum’s 50th birthday with my family in a quiet, unique place and she absolutely loved it. It was perfect. We had everything we needed there and Rachel was very responsive to any messages. Would 100% recommend and definitely want to come back for a longer stay!

Cosy cottage (Pen Lon Las) is part of the east wing of Albro Castle workhouse situated in its own valley overlooking the Teifi Estuary. We are surrounded by beautiful countryside with the start of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path at the end of our lane. Poppit beach is a 15 minutes walk away and the Preseli Mountains a 20 minute drive. St.Dogmaels is a pretty village with a local produce market every Tuesday, brilliantly stocked shop for essentials and the Ferry Inn pub just a 5 minute walk form us.
Pen Lon Las is a one bedroom wing of the “best preserved workhouse in Wales” (National Trust). We have renovated it to be as authentic as possible, changing as little as we can, repairing old doors and windows and exposing old paint colours on parts of the walls giving a deep sense of history and tranquillity. It has its own fully equipped compact kitchen, shower room and toilet, and dining/lounge area with sold fuel stove and double sofa bed. The separate bedroom is simply furnished with a double bed, chest of drawers and wardrobe. Background heating is provided by storage heaters but lighting the solid fuel stove makes the whole cottage really cosy. Coal and kindling for this fire are provided free of charge which are stored in one of the former Vagrant cells close to the cottage. With care, the stove can be kept alight for your whole stay.
  • The communication and overall impression was first rate

    Tracey2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely little place for a couple to stay...and we also brought our dog with us which was a bonus! The cottage has been sympathetically restored, so you can still see remnants of the old plasterwork etc. there is a lot of history to the building. Location wise, it is a 5 minute walk from one of the best pubs in the area which is by the water and serves good food and drink. Also, Poppit sands is a 5 minute drive, and Cardigan around a 10 minute drive. We would happily stay there again!

    Alexandra2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint cottage, just a short walk from the river estuary and village centre. It was a perfect place to get away from it all and a good base to explore the North Pembs coastline. Pete was really quick at getting back to us and made sure we had all the information we needed. Check in and out was simple. Our young terrier came with us and loved the trip.

    Clare2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing hosts and definitely a cosy cottage!

    Jo2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, easy to find, friendly host had the fire burning when we arrived so was cosy and warm, 10mins walk to excellent Ferry Inn for lovely meal...

    Steven2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful setting and Cosy cottage! Amazing big dog friendly beach and coastal walks just 5 mins away. Fantastic food and service at the local Pub too!

    James2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Can’t recommend Albro Castle enough! Such a beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. The cottage was extremely cosy with the fire going plus the bed was very comfy! Pete was a great host and extremely helpful, the cottage is the perfect gate-away to experience the amazing Pembrokeshire coast and the outstanding Welsh countryside.

    Chloe2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • A completely unique property with a fascinating history , carefully restored with style and care. If you appreciate a serious attempt to preserve a valuable example of Welsh history you will love this place. So many lovely touches, including flowers and fruit when we arrived. Very comfortable with a coal fire and storage heaters that kept the place warm, a lovely refuge after a day’s walking the coast path. Workhouses have a complex history and it is impossible not to imagine the experience of people who lived here more than a century ago, especially the vagrant cells where people broke stones as payment for bread and board. Our host was very helpful and flexible , the cottage is well equipped and furnishings and bedding of lovely quality. I cannot recommend it enough

"Not only is it one of the nicest gardens I have seen in the county it is an absolute marvel." - Pembrokeshire Online. Chalet in four acres of garden and private woods in the small village of Moylegrove, Pembrokeshire with 20 minute woodland walk to the coast. Private river, waterfalls, water areas and landscaped gardens with seating areas throughout. Woodland walk directly from the chalet to local bay and coastal path (no road walking or driving). Driveway gated parking. Ducks on your doorstep!
Exclusively available on AirBnB. I live here and can go weeks without seeing or hearing another soul if I choose! The main house is only a hundred yards away and the chalet can be reached exclusively from the driveway through its own gated walkway or down from the woods with its own private path. The gardens were once open to the public and have many seats and secret areas to discover as well as our own woods to tramp through. The chalet has a smart TV and wifi broadband with Netflix and Amazon TV included. There is no mobile phone reception in Moylegrove but phones can be used through the wifi. There is one master bedroom with king bed and one smaller room with two bunkbeds. Chalet is suitable for two adults and two children. The bunkbeds are adult singles. Breakfast items and cupboard stocks provided for self-catering. Our friendly ducks live outside the chalet. They are very curious and appreciate company!
Moylegrove sits on the remotest coastal part of the Pembrokeshire National Park. The cliffs here are the highest part of the Pembrokeshire coastal path. It's a 20min woodland walk direct from the chalet to the bay. Poppit sands beach is only 2 miles away and Newport sands and links golf course is only 5 miles away. Both beaches can be reached by walking the coastal path at the bay. The area is extremely popular for kayaking and coastal walks. The nearest shopping and eating locations are Newport, St. Dogmaels and Cardigan. Due to its remote location there are no shops or pubs in Moylegrove itself. We have local information in the chalet of places to eat that we recommend.
  • We had a really lovely stay; a beautiful chalet with everything we needed, and a great host. Meeting the ducks was a big highlight too!

    Alex2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic chalet in amazing gardens. Mark had thought of everything in the chalet... we were amazed at the well stocked kitchen! Spotlessly clean and comfortable - so peaceful and relaxing. Really dog friendly - our puppy loved every minute .... especially the river! A little piece of heaven in a beautiful location.

    Jane2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • This chalet is tucked away in the gardens of a beautiful slice of Pembrokeshire. Marks instructions were clear and helpful. The village is quaint and the grounds are absolutely gorgeous. The chalet itself was incredibly cozy. It was warm, clean and comfortable. Mark left us a few grocery items which were much appreciated. We had absolutely everything we needed. Our 4 year old loved the ducks, as did we. The hike out to the bay was the perfect way to start our day. We would absolutely stay here again. Our only regret was staying for only one night.

    Chanda2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place which is peaceful, cosy and stocked with everything you could possibly need. There are no less than 3 private seating areas outside, set in remarkable grounds. We are proud to be the first guests to have found the 'hidden treasure' at the ruin on the Pembrokeshire Coastal Walk which runs directly from the cabin. Not for the faint-hearted but breathtaking and we were also lucky to see seals playing in the Witches' Cauldron. We really didn't want to leave and could happily have stayed the month. Thank you!

    Katja2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Had a fabulous long weekend. Mark was an exceptional host with perfect instructions describing location and for running the cottage. It’s the first self catering that was a gas cooker and it’s the most trouble free cooking I’ve experienced in an unfamiliar kitchen. Lots of touches that we appreciated. The garden is charmingly landscaped the pictures don’t do it justice. The 20 minute almost totally private walk towards the cove was just what we needed. The property is easy to keep warm and no sign of damp at all. Mark responded to text in a timely manner to any queries we had. Highly recommended.

    Vincent2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Would recommend Marks place!!! Had a lovely couple days and would return in an instant!!

    Nia2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • A quiet, quirky, and romantic hideaway hidden a magical garden. No need to go into detail—everything was perfect, including a walk through the woods to a beautiful bay and the magnificent Wales Coastal Path. Highly recommended for imaginative souls.

    Christine2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • the chalet is wonderful. the gardens amazing and the house cozy. Lots of kitchen staples (the best so far in Wales). the hike to the coast is beautiful and there are lots of other nearby attractions. it was tempting just to stay on the property and relax.

A fresh and bright private studio space with its own entrance. Set in the pretty village of Moylegrove, a perfect base to explore the Pembrokeshire coast National Park. A short walk through woodland that starts behind our house, you can reach beautiful Ceibwr Bay. Once there you can walk to Poppit Sands or Newport Sands and catch the Poppit Rocket bus back to Moylegrove. It’s a perfect base to explore North Pembrokeshire, South Ceredigion and visit Cardigan town with it's fabulous Castle.
It is a quiet tranquil space and the perfect base to relax after walking, cycling, kayaking , coasteering or simply enjoying the stunning local area. The accommodation is roomy, bright and airy with lovely Tregwynt Woollen Mill cushions and throws which add a luxurious and cosy feel.

It’s a great walk up to Penyrallt Garden Centre, where you can enjoy food and drinks. Have a look at Moylegrove's website and Facebook page where new and exciting events are publicised.
  • Dragmarr is a wonderful host! She offered a lot of support, as our initial plans changed and we got a bit lost on the way. Her place is so beautiful, full of special details, she even put fresh flowers at the entrance for us. 😁. And I can not praise enough the breakfast, local bakery delicious bread, homemade jams, fruits, yogurt, etc, and the heavenly lemon curd 😁. We felt very spoiled. As for the surrounding...the images will stay with you for a long time. Thank you very much!

  • My wife and I quite enjoy travelling and Dagmarr’s place is the BEST AirBnB we’ve been to. This was just the perfect little home away from home to stay at. They had given attention perfectly to every little detail to give you us a very comfortable small town Welsh stay!! She had prepared an awesome continental breakfast with local bakery bread, different jams, honey, marmalade, oatmeal, fresh yogurt, berries, milk and juice. Directions to the Airbnb were a bit tricky but the effort was worth it. Great local tips of a beach to travel to and local restaurants. Would 100% request to stay with Dagmarr again if we were in the Pembrokeshire area or travelling the west coast of Wales again!! Thanks for everything!

  • A warm & friendly welcome from Megan. The hut is modern, clean and cosy. Great location, close to an abundance of country, woodland and coastal walks.

  • Despite stormy weather we had a wonderful weekend tucked away in this lovely eco cabin. Super cosy and warm even in the worst weather and when the sun comes out loads of great scenic walks to explore nearby.

    Stephanie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing stay that went far too quickly. The shepherds’ hut is so cosy and away from the hustle and bustle of normal life. No WiFi and no TV.... PERFECT!!! We would highly recommend you stay!

    Simon2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is wonderful place to come and withdraw from the world. The hut itself was perfect - warm even in the middle of winter thanks to the wood burner, enough facilities to be able to cook for ourselves, a very comfortable bed, and a well designed bathroom - we could have stayed for weeks. Being removed from the main B'n'B gave us our own space, but being so near meant we could take advantage of Megans excellent cooking - a great dinner and a marvellous breakfast. The situation is also very good: one can drop down on to the coast path in about 15-20 minutes. We had a magnificent walk up to the headland above Poppit Sands from which we could see the Llyn peninsular and Snowdonia floating above the horizon, 50 odd miles away. All in all, a great place to get away to, and to explore this beautiful coastline from.

    Dominic2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • An absolute gem. We had a very cosy midwinter stay in this super stylish shepherds hut. A great location for exploring the coast, very comfortable accommodation and fantastic hosts. Wish we'd stayed longer!

  • A lovely place, tiny and with everything you need! Also perfect when you want to cook for yourself. We stayed here fot 3 days with a seven month old baby, worked out fine!, a place with a lot of windows/light but you can also make it dark. Good bed! Good shower. Nice people. Very clean. Poppit sands beach is ideal for kids and only 6 minutes by car from us. - St Dogmaels local producers market is every Tuesday next to the water-mill. - You can go bird-watching or canoeing at the idyllic river Teifi at Cardigan Wildlife centre - a great place for kids too. There is even a secret little road-free wooded valley adjacent to ours, filled with wild animals, unique plants/flowers and a bubbling brook. The path starts 200m behind out house.
  • We took two rooms in Seth’s house as opposed to the holiday cottages so this review doesn’t relate to those. If it’s glitz and glamour you are after then this may not be for you. However, if you want to lower your blood pressure then this is a must - it should be prescribed on the NHS! If you want total peace and tranquility, complete silence at night, no light or noise pollution and access to walks through woodland and along the Teifi estuary then don’t miss the opportunity to stay here. This is the only Air BnB I’ve stayed in where you are encouraged to help yourselves to breakfast cereal and tea and coffee is left out for you to help yourselves. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if we are over that way.

  • Seth was an awesome Host! He went above and beyond to make sure that I had everything I needed for an enjoyable stay! I would most certainly recommend Seth’s place to anyone staying in that area! I loved the location of his home in the country setting!

  • Seth is a lovely guy. Ask him about the Russian sauna!

    Peter2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • Seth is an excellent host. He looked after us well. He responds quickly to any query. Property is very well kept and maintained. Peaceful neighbourhood. It’s very tidy and clean and has all the essentials you need for every day life. It actually looks much nicer in reality then pictures. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if come back to Wales. Beautiful part of country and lot to explore.

  • I booked Seth’s place for my mum and sister and they loved it. They said Seth was a fantastic host and very easy to get on with. A lovely home and with beautiful beaches nearby. Thank you!

  • Seth went above and beyond as a host. We actually owe our life to Seth. Our car got stuck on the road and he went out of his way to help us out of our jam! Great communicator and a great guy. Arthur is awesome too.

    Christopher2019-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Good , clean accommodation in a fantastic location in a stunning part of Wakes. Seth has great local advice to offer, was very helpful but was also very discreet. You won’t get a quieter nights sleep than here!

Rocket House enjoys some of the most spectacular sea views in Pembrokeshire. If that wasn't enough, it is also on the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, just a stones throw from one of the country's finest beaches! Rocket is a charming little slice of living history.. it really does have to be seen to be believed! And so, we do hope you choose to stay and discover our wonderful, hidden corner of beautiful Pembrokeshire. Cari, Duncan & Family @rockethouse_poppit
Rocket is ideal for a romantic getaway, a perfect opportunity to pack your bags and head West, leaving behind the hustle and bustle of the 21st century. However, it is still possible to enjoy all the luxuries of modern day living! The bright and airy living room is home to mid-century & contemporary art work, comfy vintage furniture and a super eco-friendly wood pellet stove (the heart of "Rocket"). Of course, there are also captivating views.. The luxury kitchen is again bedecked with mid-century furniture, "found" objects and a bespoke kitchen with Smeg induction range and state of the art coffee machine. Sea views come as standard. The double height bedroom (the original, grade II listed building) has a luxury super-king size bed, organic cotton Toast linen, bluetooth DAB radio and a cosy window seat. The bathroom is brimming with 1930s style, with bath, overhead & handheld shower and organic soap & body wash. There is also plenty of hanging space in the large hallway, and places to put muddy boots (or dogs!)
Rocket is just a leisurely stroll (on a quiet country lane) from Poppit Sands, an utterly charming strip of golden sand, dunes and rockpools, with wonderfully clear waters and enough swell to challenge even the most seasoned surfer! Poppit's dunes are home to some very unusual wildlife (bee orchids & adders) and the lanes around Rocket are awash with wildflowers in the Spring/Summer. A short walk up the hill on the same lane (a no through road, so virtually no traffic) will lead you to Cemaes Head, a highly treasured piece of the wild, beautiful Pembrokeshire coastline. From the spectacular clifftops it is possible to see multitudes of seals, dolphins and other sea & bird life. One of the loveliest things about Rocket is that you don’t have to travel far to find the most perfect beaches, countryside, wildlife or walking; it’s all right on the doorstep!
  • Beautiful cottage in a stunning location whatever the weather! Very stylishly decorated and great views over the coast.

    Iain2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place with amazing views. Thoroughly enjoyed :)

    Emily2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Rocket House is just perfect! We had an amazing 4 night stay at this beautiful house. It's the perfect space for two and feels spacious and cosy at the same time. The bed is amazing, so big and comfortable we slept soundly every night. Location is superb with amazing views over poppit sands and out to the ocean. We loved visiting off season as it was quiet and although not much was open locally Cardigan is just a short 10 min drive and had everything we needed. It really was the most relaxing and peaceful stay in a beautiful part of the country. Thanks so much Cari, we hope to visit again soon!

    Sarah2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Rocket House is amazing! Cari and Duncan have done an amazing job and have created my dream holiday home. The location and views are fantastic and we are already planning our return. I would highly recommend this property to anyone considering a stay in this beautiful part of the country. Thanks again!

    Ryan2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely property in a beautiful setting. Cari and family have obviously given a huge amount of thought to the refurbishment of the property and making it a welcoming space for guests. It is also very well equipped with all mod cons. Excellent base for walking along the beautiful coastline nearby. Thank you.

    Andrew2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the stunning rocket house! It was perfect. The location was ideal with the amazing Poppit sands so close by. As we came with 2 dogs, this worked really well. The house itself was really clean and the decoration and little touches e.g. the welcome basket made it very special. We will return in the future. A 10/10 trip!

    Caroline2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fabulous stay here. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and included everything one could need for a trip away. The cottage was well positioned and the host couldn't have been helpful. Thank you we had a lovely time!

    Sarah2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Rocket House is stunning! It's gorgeous both inside and out. It's been beautifully restored and an Instagrammers dream! With lovely little decorative details and views out of every window overlooking the dramatic Poppit Sands bay. Lots of lovely walks on your door step and beyond. And the local pub, The Ferry Inn, is also a great little spot for lunch and a pint overlooking the water. Cari was a really great host. Very responsive, friendly and welcoming. She gave us some great tips for exploring the area, as well as a basket full of treats! We'll definitely be coming back. Thanks again.

A lovely larch-clad barn conversion nestled between the Preseli hills and the north Pembrokeshire Coast. Superbly located for the Pembrokeshire Coastal path and National Park. Just minutes away from an array of spectacular beaches and coves, Ysguborbach is your ideal getaway for your dose of Vitamin Sea!
Formerly a small barn, Ysguborbach (Welsh for Little Barn) has been tastefully renovated to a high standard. It features a kingsize memory foam bed to relax in, with a bespoke clad headboard made from reclaimed boards. A large walk in shower, wc and washbasin are accessed thru a sliding barn door. There's even room for a small kitchenette and breakfast bar. WIFI and smart TV complete your infotainment needs and there are numerous USB charge points within the property. Outside there's access to a large firebowl, barbecue and seating in a courtyard setting.
Set amongst one of the largest organic dairy farms in West Wales....we are about 400metres from a B-Road down a quiet farm lane. The lovely village of Newport is a ten minute drive away and for shops, supermarkets, castle and a wide range of eateries, Cardigan town is 10 minutes in the other direction
  • We had a great stay at this little barn. Perfectly placed to explore Pembrokeshire. We really appreciated the little touches like the cake and milk, as well as Andy's recommendations for local restaurants and hiking! Would definitely recommend!

    Marjah2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful time! The whole experience from communication in the lead up to our trip, to check in, local recommendations and the stay itself was amazing. Really great hosts and a beautiful little home. It was spacious, clean, cosy, warm and had everything you need! The local area is stunning and we enjoyed watching the birds through the window as they came to the feeder. Lots of lovely home touches including milk and bara brith too which was delicious. Thank you! We'll be back very soon I'm sure!

    Elinor2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I stayed for two nights at Ysguborbach with our dog, Rolo. Andy was very helpful with directions before we arrived and gave us a warm welcome on arrival. We were provided with Bara brith, milk, coffee, tea, sugar, and dog treats. The room has been decorated to a high standard and it was very comfortable. The courtyard is fenced which was perfect for Rolo as we could let him out without the worry of him roaming too far. The location is good with Poppit Sands Beach and Newport Beach both a short drive away. There are also a few pubs less than a ten minute drive away, we went to the Golden Lion which served very nice food. We would definitely recommend Ysguborbach and will hopefully stay there again in the near future :-)

    Aaron2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Really good, warm accommodation. Very thoughtful, stayed for misses birthday / valentine's Day. Love the touch of Bara-birth. Would happily stay again.

    Davies2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Had a fantastic stay at Ysgubor Bach! Andy greeted us and our furry friend on arrival, showed us to our accomodation and where everything was located. Ysgubor Bach has everything you could possibly need, comfy bed, kitchen, internet access and TV with access to Netflix and Amazon Prime. Andy also provided some really thoughtful touches, a loaf of bara brith, tea & coffee, a jug of milk and even some treats for our dog. Would thoroughly recommend staying at Ysgubor Bach, Andy was a super host!

    Matt2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect and well thought out hut, clean modern and very welcoming! Andy was a great host with plenty of info and assistance if required but otherwise we were left to ourselves to enjoy this great hut. Had all we needed. Will use again.

Ty Nywedd Fountain is an 18th Century Welsh stone cottage. The cottage is situated in the quiet and peaceful village of Moylegrove in North Pembrokeshire, roughly mid way between the towns of Newport (6 miles) and Cardigan (5 miles) and a 15 / 20 minute walk to the nearby beach of Ceiwbr and the National Coastal Path, as well as a short drive or bus ride to the neighbouring beaches of Newport & Poppit. The cottage is ideal for walkers, readers, writers & has a cosy wood burner & secluded garden.
Ty Nywedd Fountain includes many original features such as an inglenook, beams and wooden floors and has a secluded garden including comfortable, period garden furniture and hammock. The downstairs area is open plan. Upstairs comprises two bedrooms including one with bunk beds and a bathroom.
The local beach of Ceiwbr is a peaceful destination for any walk and the dramatic rocks of The Witch's Cauldron are also easily accessed. Both Cardigan and Newport boast excellent independent cafés, bars and breweries including Café Pwnc in Newport and Bara Havard and PizzaTipi in Cardigan. Glebelands in nearby St Dogmaels is a very reasonably priced organic market garden with an excellent year-round selection of fresh produce. The Golden Lion in Newport is a wonderful, cosy pub.
  • The cottage is wonderful. Our favourite kind of place with its thick walls and white wash. It's been done out beautifully and it was a lovely restful place sheltering us from the wild weather we enjoyed outside on nearby Poppit Sands. A great place and fantastic location.

    Hilary2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • A very happy stay here! A much needed bolt hole and the place embraced us. Wood burner was a winner to keep us cozy during the wild and woolly winds. Made even better by all the walks on our doorstep. Our doggie was very happy and can heartily recommend Newport sands and St Dogmaels if you fancy good food, a damn fine walk and a bit of shopping. Thank you Sarah! We have had the best week. :)

    Suzie2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • A gorgeous cottage in a lovely village. Two great beaches 10 minutes away and a brilliant cliff walk from the front door. The cottage was clean, cosy and stylish. Sarah made us feel at home with handy messages when we needed them. Our dog loved the garden and all the dog friendly beaches near by. Comfy bed, roaring fire and plenty of cups of tea made for a brilliant winter break.

    Danny2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is absolutely wonderful for a peaceful and restorative getaway - it is much nicer than in the pictures and has all the amenities you need for cooking up a feast and getting cosy. Just what we needed this NYE! The location was great and we were able to explore the beautiful coastline and raid the Cardigan charity shops for vintage bargains. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone!

    Laura2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah was such a welcoming host and had left some thoughtful Christmas touches. The heating was on so we didn’t arrive to a freezing house, quality fresh coffee was ready for the following morning. There’s plenty of great reading books, and the house has retained its original charm without becoming uncomfortably out of date. Very clean. All mod cons available for DIY meals. It has a lovey feel about the place. Terrifically close to some spectacular walks. Thank you, Sarah & family.

    Brooke2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cottage close to the coast. Very cosy with lots of features, great wood burning stove and (unusually) a fantastic supply of very dry fire wood provided. No sacks of wet petrol station logs which we often find at airBnB’s. As a result we had an extremely warm and relaxing stay, a great place to disconnect and recharge. Highly recommend and good value.

    Robert2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful couple of days in Sarah's home. The peaceful location was perfect for myself, partner and young son and we felt so at home. Sarah was an excellent host, great communication and so hospitable. The decor is wonderfully cosy and homely and Sarah deserves very much to be a super host.

Characterful cottage in the heart of the gorgeous village of St Dogmaels in North Pembrokeshire. At the start of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. A minute from the Teifi estuary, the Abbey, and award winning local market. Close to magnificent beaches, ancient woodlands, and the wildness of the Preseli hills. My home and garden is a little haven, a relaxing base for adventures in nature. Indoor space to safely store bikes, surf boards etc.
Old fisherman’s cottage nicely converted. Light and comfortable.
The nearest beach is huge and wild. I swim in the sea as often as possible. There’s a great organic market garden/ food hub 5 minutes walk away. Cardigan has most everyday items available, parking is easy. Good cafes and bakers, Wholefood shop, 2 excellent venues. Easy low-stress pace of life.

A pleasant ground floor flat, a stones throw from the Teifi river and the beginning of the Pembrokeshire coastal path. Thirty minute walk/five minute drive to Poppit sands beach or into Cardigan. Also local are Cilgerran wildlife reserve and castle.
An open-plan self-contained flat. Bedroom/living/dining room, large well kitted-out kitchen, small bathroom, small south-facing conservatory and outside decked area.
We are in a quiet cul-de-sac, just up from the river. There are beautiful walks from just outside the door. The village has a shop, several pubs, a water mill and abbey. There is also a bakery, organic veg shop, cafe and a local market every Tuesday. Poppit sands beach is about a mile and a half away as is Cardigan town and castle. Other beaches such as Ceibwr and Mwnt are stunning, and only a short drive away. There are also many historical sites, including Pentre Ifan burial chamber.
  • Well equipped quiet apartment in a good location, great value for money.

  • We had a great New Year’s break at Louise’s place and there was absolutely everything we needed for cooking and feeling at home. We’d happily stay again as there is so much walking and cycling to do and many other places nearby. Poppit Sands is a delight.

    Jane2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great base to explore the Cardigan area & walk the Pembrokeshire coastal way. Louise is a particularly thoughtful host & very much at hand if you need anything. The flat is cosy and well provided for, and the bed is super comfy. We would like to recommend Louise 's place as an excellent base to spend a holiday.

    Martine2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Louise is a most hospitable host, and her apartment is comfortable and well-equipped. A beautiful estuary is only a step away and the excellent town of Cardigan, which is full of cafes and shops, is five minutes distant by car. Staying at Union Terrace puts you in a good position to explore Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Cardiganshire. In short, Louise's apartment is highly recommended, both to holiday-makers and those wanting a quite retreat.

    Fraser2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Louise is a great host. The apartment was very clean, well equipped, comfortable and super quiet. It's in a great location for walking the beautiful Teifi estuary and stunning nearby beach and coastal path. On top of all this, Louise supplied delicious provisions, including a great range of teas and coffee, and a really good list of recommended places to visit and places to eat. Thank you!

    Chris2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Well located between Poppit sands and Cardigan, with good footpaths to both places, around the village and the coastal paths of Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion. Thoughtful supplies to get you going, Louise is an excellent and responsive host.

  • Megan's cedar hut is absolutely beautiful. The perfect getaway with everything you could need for a home away from home. It was perfectly clean and tidy, the homely touches of homemade bread, fresh eggs and veg from the garden made it so special. It was easy to find and within driving distance of some beautiful beaches. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Pembrokeshire! Thank you Megan!

  • We had such a lovely time in the beautiful cedar hut, it was fresh and clean and we loved the view of the trees when waking up! It’s so peaceful and quiet and we enjoyed using the fire pit in the evenings. Our busy cocker spaniel loved running around the large garden as well! Megan and her husband were so friendly and very helpful! A real escape and would definitely recommend.

  • Great stay at Megan’s place Beautiful hand made eco pod Amazing views from the pod Lovely and clean on arrival Welsh bathroom amenities and butter where a lovely touch Also fresh milk and orange and Home made bread were lovely. Minimal cooking facilities, only a gas job. No oven or microwave just to note as it’s hard to cook a big meal. No WiFi or tv, poor signal in the area so quite hard to plan your days out while your there. Beautiful designed, with big open windows with lovely greenery around In a remote quite area Lovely friendly family pets on site Secluded private area for guests around the pod Thank you Megan for a lovely stay!!

This is a cosy studio consisting of a double bedroom, with a comfortable king-sized double bed and an en-suite bathroom. There’s also a microwave, kettle, toaster and small fridge. Tea and coffee are provided. The studio is attached to the main house, but with a separate entrance, and guests have access to a sheltered garden. The house is at the end of a stepped path, off one of the winding village roads, with a lovely view over the surrounding countryside.
The studio is next to the main house, with its own entrance, and is private and comfortable, with an en suite bathroom and a king-size double bed, and table and chairs. There’s tea, coffee, a kettle, a toaster, a small fridge and a microwave in the room. There’s a private, sheltered garden, with seating, for relaxing after a busy day. The studio is a TV-free zone, so please bring laptops/tablets for your entertainment. The studio is accessed by a stepped path, and is therefore not suitable for guests with mobility problems, or guests with small children, as it isn’t pushchair accessible.
The cottage was originally one of the many traditional fisherman's dwellings and is approached by walking up a stepped path between neighbouring cottages. It's in an elevated part of St Dogmaels, in a most idyllic setting, and benefits from the wonderful views, but is only a few minutes walk away from all the amenities of the village. St Dogmaels is a beautiful village, perfectly placed for access to the coast and the countryside. Most guests choose to eat at the ‘Ferry Inn’, which is just a ten minute walk down the hill, and has a restaurant section, with lovely views over the Teifi River. There's the Premier supermarket/grocery shop on the High Street, the award winning St Dogmaels Fish and Chip shop, and of course, St Dogmaels Abbey ruins, with the Coach House Cafe and visitor centre, which provides lovely snacks and lunches, with sunny courtyard seating. The village overlooks the Teifi River, and Poppit Sands is just a few minutes drive down the road. It's a beautiful sandy beach, and the Pembrokeshire Coastal path begins here. Just a few miles inland are the Preseli Hills, where the famous blue stones of Stonehenge were thought to have been quarried. There are a number of walks along the spine of the Preselis, with amazing views of the surrounging countryside and the sea. Next door to St Dogmaels is Cardigan town, a bustling traditional Welsh town with a central high street, with a number of artisan cafes and restaurants, and interesting independent shops, with three supermarkets on the outskirts.

  • A cosy cottage annex in St.Dogmael's. Janet was very hospitable and welcoming with some great tips for local walks. Highly recommend.

  • Cosy, convenient and good value. Great base for exploring Cardigan and the surrounding areas. Excellent information from the host too.

  • We just spent three days in Janet place, everything was perfect, the house is small but very clean with lot of character and has a really nice garden. The view from there is just amazing. The village of St Dogmael is just one mile from Cardigan and is the perfect location to travel around all the surrounding area of pembrokeshire and Cardigan bay. We would definitely come back!

    Susanna2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for a relaxing stay in your beautiful part of the world. A lovely annex with fantastic views.

  • This is such a lovely place to stay in St Dogmaels. It is so beautifully decorated and has such lovely touches, carefully thought about by Janet, who we only met briefly. She was very friendly and responded to our messages very quickly. All of this, in a lovely quiet setting. It couldn’t have been more lovely. Thank you Janet!!

A riverside haven, with unsurpassable views of the Teifi, ideal for walkers on the nearby beach & coastal path, kayak paddlers and RHIB boating (all available on site), or just plain sun bathing and paddling, before enjoying a meal in a local pub (nearest is just next door-but-one)
Not only is Jonathan a unique riverside location on the Teifi, with its own deck and jetty, but use of up to x3 river kayaks and/or my inflatable RHIB boat are all included (at no extra charge). The large and pleasant beach called Poppit in the Pembs Coast National Park, is just a couple of miles down the road, & marks the start of the award winning National Pembs Coastal Path. This part of the world is blessed also with many sites of local interest from medieval castle to wildlife sanctuaries; and there are many local pubs and restaurants to choose from for both lunch and the evenings. The kitchen is fully fitted with washing machine, cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and all kitchen utensils, breadboard, knives, grater, saucepans, etc. Everything you need for self-catering.
The riverside village of St Dogmaels is on the northern border of Pembrokeshire, formed by the River Tivy (Teifi) close to the market town of Cardigan. St Dogmaels is significant because the Pembrokeshire coast path starts or finishes here, depending on which way you're walking it. The village has three main attractions all in close proximity to each other: St Dogmaels Abbey, The Coach House (St Dogmaels Heritage Centre) and Y Felin Water Mill.
  • Great Stay

    Victoria2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Robbie is a very helpful and welcoming host. The accommodation is comfortable and is in a wonderful location next to the river. We particularly enjoyed waking up to the views and heading out on the kayaks. I'm sure we will be back soon!

    Alexander2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • The accomodation is simple, nothing special, and nothing wrong with it - but the location, and stunning views from big rooms across the estuary, made it a real gem. Robbie is helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The Ferry Inn pub/restaurant two doors down is excellent

    Dave2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Robbie is a mine of useful local information, take the time to ask him about about the area.

    Rich2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • What a fab little place! We enjoyed being right on the estuary (& next door to the pub!) Both Poppit & Cardigan are close by. Perfect for us. Robbie was friendly & helpful & we'd like to return.

  • Very nice place to stay with a gorgeous view of the river

    Jamie2019-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • We received a lovely warm friendly and informative welcome off our host. Robbie gave us a good tour of the property to show us how everything worked and gave us lots of useful tips on the local area and the local amenities on offer. The views from lower Jon of the River Teifi were truly spectacular. It was a privilege to wake up and look out directly onto such a beautiful view of the estuary. Ideal location if you are intending going into the town of Cardigan or going to the beach at Poppit sands as both are within walking distance. Lovely comfortable king size bed for a great nights sleep. Enjoyed a really relaxing and tranquil 2 nights, Thank you Robbie

    Andrew2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy and comfortable. The location is great for exploring the coast with many popular towns near by. The pub two doors down is a god send for getting some good food and lovely hospitality. Robbie is very knowledgeable of the local area and pointed out plenty of things to do near by. Wish i had a longer stay to explore a bit more.

Romantic farm cottage near the coast, with stunning mountain views. Enjoy peace and quiet in an unspoilt landscape, yet just a short walk from the historic village of Nevern, with its ancient church and traditional pub. Nearby Newport has cafes, restaurants and galleries and is only a 5 minute drive away, as is the famous Pembrokeshire coast path. Sandy beaches, secluded coves, woodland and mountain walks are all within easy reach. A perfect retreat for a couple wanting to get away from it all.
The Cart House is stylishly furnished and thoughtfully equipped, so you can make the most of your stay in beautiful North Pembrokeshire. It's an interesting 'upside down' cottage, with the open plan living area on the first floor and the bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor. Both floors have doors leading to the private patio where you will find both a barbecue, table and chairs, and an array of potted plants - perfect for al fresco eating or just star gazing. The cottage has a wood burning stove for cosy evenings in by the fire and electric heating throughout. The comfortable double bed has feather duvets and pillows and crisp cotton sheets (non feather substitutes are available for allergy sufferers). The cottage is on a farm, in a very quiet and peaceful part of Pembrokeshire. Alice is also an artist and has a small studio and gallery in the farmhouse.
We are in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, world renowned for its outstanding natural beauty. Just a short walk away is the historic village of Nevern, with its family run pub, the Trewern Arms, charming St. Brynach's church, 10th century Celtic cross and 5th century Ogham Stone. A short walk from the church brings you to the ancient Pilgrims Path, used for hundreds of years by pilgrims making their way to St. Davids. You can literally follow the Pilgrims footsteps, worn away over the centuries into the slate. The path follows the banks of the beautiful Nevern river until it reaches the sea at stunning Newport Bay. There are some fabulous walks along the coastal path, as well as beaches and coves, too numerous to mention. We are a 5 minute drive to the sea and during the summer a local bus company runs a shuttle service along the coast for walkers. The Preseli Hills are also a magical place, with numerous neolithic sites dotted throughout the area and numerous footpaths and bridle ways to explore. Nearby Newport is a pretty seaside town offering a fantastic array of eateries. We also have art galleries, an antique shop, a local butcher, wholefood shop, hardware store, Post Office, Chemist and small supermarket. There's an interesting street market held every Monday and the community run Memorial Hall has a vibrant and varied mixture of cultural events and activities running throughout the year. The Cart House is a 10 minute drive from the old county town of Cardigan, which has 2 supermarkets (Tesco and Aldi) and a variety of shops along its pretty High Street. It's also worth a visit to Theatre Mwldan, which hosts a great selection of films, theatre, comedy and music events. For adventurous types there are a wealth of activities on offer, from sea kayaking and coasteering, to paragliding and surfing. Visitors to the area are often struck by something else that is rarely mentioned in the tourist brochures, and that is the warmth of the local people. We live in a very welcoming community and we all hope you'll enjoy you're stay here.

  • We had the best week relaxing in this beautiful little cottage. I’m not sure where to start! The check in process and communication with Alice was great, she met us when we arrived, showed us around and was on hand should be need anything. The cottage backs on to 3 or 4 fields which we were lucky enough to let our dog run in everyday which he loved (no sheep whilst we were there!). The cottage is small but perfectly set up with a log burner and really comfortable cosy bed. The location is a short drive from Newport where there are great pubs and a lovely beach to explore. We spent the week enjoying the coast paths, beaches and beautiful sunshine we were lucky enough to have. Can’t recommend enough! Very dog friendly!

  • Wonderful little cottage in a great location for exploring west Wales. Alice met us straight away with a warm welcome. A lovely cosy feel with a great wood burning stove that kept us warm in February. Great little kitchen with everything you would need and all other necessities including tv and wifi. It did help to have a car to explore as the closest shop/town was probably classed as unwalkable, but only a few minutes in the car. Amazing selection of pubs/restaurants nearby. We had such a lovely time!

  • We had a great long weekend at croeso cottage - it’s lovely place seemingly miles from anywhere but in reality a scenic half hour drive from all Pembrokeshire has to offer. We loved the “upside down’ feel played board games and reconnected with each other. We included some culture (st David’s catherderal) and some adrenaline (coasteering) activities and loved coming back to our secluded and cosy and clean cottage. Highly recommended

  • Meg’s place was excellent. Nice and quiet location with excellent parking. Very clean and cosy. Meg was nearby and happy to be involved as much or as little as we liked. Would come again.

  • An absolutely gorgeous location. The Welsh winds and rain raged outside, but once we got the fire going, it was cosy inside. Nici was helpful and easy to contact by text.

  • Our stay was as romantic and magical as we had hoped it to be. We absolutely loved the accommodation and the position it was in, honestly you couldn’t wish for more. Gwen met us on arrival and made us feel very welcome, she gave us some recommendations for places to eat and beaches to walk on. We loved the rustickness of the décor, the log fire was a real treat and to sink into the hot tub and hear the water from the river and watch the wildlife all around you was just breath-taking. A perfect place to relax and recoup, I would highly recommend a stay here and if you’re a wildlife fan then you couldn’t position yourself in any better place. We saw Otters in the morning bathing, a fox that liked to come and explore Infront of you, squirrels, Herons, buzzards and lots lots more. Thank you for a truly magical & memorable stay.

    Laura2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most wonderful stay here. We were looking for a weekend getaway with our dog, somewhere quiet and out of the way, but still somewhere close by to walking trails, beaches, and shops. This cottage checked every single box. The hot tub was so relaxing, the view was incredible, and it was surprisingly close to plenty of shops. We felt totally removed from the hustle and bustle, but we were only a quick drive from everywhere we needed to go. The cottage itself is well equipped to cook full meals, and was cosy by the TV for the evenings. The view of the river was amazing, and our dog loved exploring the yard. Nici was so quick to reply to any questions I had, the communication was really great. We will definitely be coming back :)

    Emma2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here for a long weekend in September. The views are fantastic, you can sit outside and watch the tide come in and out with swans, geese, herons and ducks filling the shores. The Hot Tub is perfect for relaxing in and watching the stars, you don’t feel at all overlooked, you could be miles from anywhere. The animals on the farm, namely Chief the dog and Lucy and Dylan the Goats wander round and nap in the sun. We loved them and felt very honoured when they would wander down to our cottage for a visit. We met Gwen who was on hand to offer lots of local knowledge, she’s lovely and made us feel very welcome. There is a local dog friendly sandy beach about 5 mins drive from the house which was great for a sunny afternoon. We had a great weekend and would definitely go back.

    Isla2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is truly a diamond in the Airbnb rough! Most places advertised oversell their space, this place is probably undersold. Absolutely gorgeous surroundings and a hot tub overlooking it all. A beautiful, peaceful place to stay, you honestly won't regret coming here.

    James2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place is really wonderful! The last footage next to the river with unspoilt views and free access down the the river. Relaxing hot tub and so much wildlife to enjoy. There are a few nature reserves neat by too. Super hosts and a very friendly welcome. We'll hopefully return again!!

A self-contained cottage, part of a larger 3 part countryhouse set in a secluded location on a hill above the picturesque village of St Dogmaels. Guests have the entire cottage adjoining our own for their own use with all amenities, fully self catering and a private entrance with own door key. Table tennis room and badminton included here too. 2.5 miles (7 MINS BY CAR) to the sea / beach / coast paths.
A very calm and peaceful little valley with several footpaths through small virgin woodlands and sleepy country lanes meandering through grassy fields. Wake up in the morning to total silence, except for the sound of the birds all around. There is a badminton / volleyball net with rackets etc and also an indoor table tennis table with bats and balls which is all available free for guest use! The tap water supply is from a deep spring under the hill (hundreds of years old) and was considered a special spring source by the local monks of the abbey nearby. The views from the windows are of nature (trees and fields) - giving a real sense of being surrounded by nature. Please note: the price does not include use of electric storage heaters (£5 extra per night) or price of logs for the woodburner (£5 per basket).
Our valley is quiet and the lane is not used as a through road so very few cars. There are a handful of other houses up and down the valley, but all very quiet and peaceful. This village is one of the safest places in Britain and is peaceful as well as idyllic.
  • This is great value accommodation in a peaceful location in an absolutely beautiful part of the world! It isn’t a hotel experience (e.g. towel and linens are well-worn and not matching) but it has an exceptionally comfortable reclining sofa, lovely new carpets, and once the new wood burner is installed the living area will be really cosy. We really enjoyed exploring the wonderful beaches nearby (Poppit Sands and Newport, but there are many more), eating traditional cawl soup in the Coach House cafe and wandering around Cardigan town. Seth is a really nice and helpful guy too.

    Amy2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Very quiet place, alot bigger than it looks on the photos. You need to follow the directions given as it is a little out of the way but certainly worth staying here.

    Dylan2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • The house was larger than expected in a pleasant, quiet area. Seth gave plenty of advice on local attractions and there's plenty to do nearby. Overall it was a great experience and I'd recommend to all.

    Andrew2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is a real gem. Seth greeted me on arrival and shared some great local knowledge which led to a lovely Indian meal. The house was immaculate and had everything I could ask for and more. Exceeded my expections, I will definitely stay again. Thank you Seth

  • If you are looking for an amazing place in a rural setting which is also at the same time not too far away from shops, bars & restaurants, sandy beach and incredible host then your search ends here. This is the place not to be missed especially for a family. There are so many things to do around this place. Property is nicely maintained, has everything required in a holiday home. Free WiFi is like a cherry on a cake. We enjoyed our time at this property. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic family time.

    Pawan2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • First and foremost, this place is an absolute bargain! I couldn't believe the size of the cottage when we arrived for the price! Seth has obviously worked really hard to make this place homely, cosy and clean and tidy. Seth was an excellent host, we booked this last minute and with it being the first time I've ever used airbnb, I was so impressed with how quick he got back to me. Seth was more than welcoming and willing to help out and even offered to buy in milk and bread for our arrival. He made us feel very welcome and at home, not having a problem with us moving the sofas around to our liking and providing cereals, homemade jams and homegrown apples - which were delicious! As well as providing us with an iron and board upon a last minute request. Seth really knows the surrounding areas well and gave us some really great tips and places to go and see. We are keen walkers and like to go places where there aren't many people, Seth suggested several coastal paths and beaches which were away from tourism and absolutely breathtaking. All in all we couldn't have been happier with our stay here and will definitely be coming back soon!! If you are looking for a getaway into the quiet country this is definitely the place to book! Cheers again Seth and we will see you soon!!!

Our homely wooden cabin is a new addition to our 4 acer smallholding, tucked down a quiet lane just a couple of minutes drive from Cardigan. Golygfa, meaning ‘nice view’ is a name of our home that is on top of a little hill overlooking the Teifi gorge. Stunning views towards the Preseli hills, just a stones throw from Poppit Sands and Mwnt beach.
Our cabin is a very compact space. All in one - kitchen with hot water, two ring portable gas cooker, little fridge, 2 beds 120cm wide - so either get cosy on one or have a king size single each (the 2nd bed is in mezzanine). Dinning table on veranda, flushable toilet, simple shower, veggie patch few steps away providing you with a home grown produce. Clutch of chickens will lay you a morning egg. Wifi does not reach to the cabin but you can get signal oh the veranda and in the garden. We hope that the outdoor space - lovely garden with orchard where squirrel is our daily guest, big field with deer seeking for a fresh grass, and a beautiful scenery where evenings can be spent watching the sun set over Cardigan and the hills beyond will make up for the small indoor space. We feel that our village of Llangoedmor is ideally located for quick and easy access to our local market town of Cardigan and all the beaches of South Ceredigion and North Pembrokeshire, including Aberporth, Mwnt and Poppit Sands. Day trips to New Quay, St. Davids and Tenby are all within an hours drive. The area locally is ideal for outdoor sports and activities such as coasteering, river and sea kayaking, climbing, nature trails and the Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire coastal paths.
Rural, quite and relaxing. Cardigan is one of the top 10 places to bring up a family in the UK! Cilgerran Wildlife Park is awesome, Mwnt beach is stunning, Cardigan town is alive and colourful, best bog standard grub is the Nags Head in Abercych, 10 minutes drive. Best pubs and general good food in Newport, 20 minutes drive. Pizza Tipi is very cool, Cardigan, next to the river.
  • Fabulously cosy cabin in an equally fabulous location will definitely return.. Mark and Katerina were great hosts and everything was as stated in their ad.. Book it you won't be dissapointed.. Andrea and Oliver

  • Very lovely little cabin in a beautiful area, with lovely grounds and fantastic hosts. We had a very nice stay.

    Aaron2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I had a lovely stay here. Mark and Katerina made us feel so welcome, and their little cabin was warm and cosy, with everything we needed. They really went out of their way to make us feel at home. As for the area, it was really beautiful, with a nature reserve just 10 minutes walk down the lane, which meant we could explore locally on a day when we didn't feel like getting on a bus. We don't have a car, so got to the cabin by train, then a bus which went from Carmarthen to the cabin. This bus also carries on past here into Cardigan town centre, where there's loads to see and do, or you can change to other buses to explore the amazing stretch of coastline nearby. We walked a stretch of this coastline, between Ceibwr Bay and St Dogmaels, which we would highly recommend!

  • Lovely place with ample space to feel more like a home than just a room. Catherine is thoughtful and accomodating. She was flexible with checkouts in view of the storm we were caught in.

  • Catherine's Chalet is cosy and homely, with the added beautiful views of the welsh countryside. The chalet has plenty of space and is perfect for a short or long term retreat. We throughly enjoyed our stay and when returning to the area we will make sure to book with Catherine again. Catherine was additionally very helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. Thank you!

  • A lovely chalet in a beautiful area with mountain views. Spotlessly clean with everything needed for a quiet, relaxing break. Supermarkets a 5-10 minute drive away. Thank you for the welsh cakes and brownies which were delicious. Would highly recommend a stay here and will stay again if we are in the area.

  • Catherine's cottage has everything one would want for a lengthy stay - a full kitchen, a large bathroom, a lounge room and a conservatory. It has our strongest recommendation.

    John2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, very comfortable bed. The cottage has everything you need. It's an easy 10 min drive to Cardigan and to amazing beaches. Very quiet to sleep and relax.

  • This has become my ‘go to’ place when I visit my brother who lives nearby. Hafod is a great space, with all a single person or couple needs for a relaxing break in this beautiful part of the country. Catherine is a lovely host; helpful & chatty but lets you ‘get on with it’ too. Looking forward to my next visit 😊

    Claire2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Wow what a find! Hafod is perfect - a lovely comfortable, self-contained cottage which was both clean and much more spacious than the photos show, with everything you need within. Fresh flowers and delicious chocolate brownies to welcome us! Situated close to Cardigan & the beautiful Ceredigion/Pembrokeshire coast & countryside makes it a brilliant location to explore the area. Thank you for a lovely stay - I thoroughly recommend Hafod and if we decide to come back to Pembrokeshire will not hesitate to book again.

Catch the afternoon sun inside, and on the little private terrace adjoining this cosy space. A flower-filled shared walled garden is equally welcoming, while inside, exposed-stone wall accents meet contemporary comforts like a double-headed shower.
The apartment is set on the first floor of a rambling old historical building with lots of quirky features and different use spaces. The apartment is very secluded within the building and offers you open plan stylish living, fully equipped kitchen and en-suite, with direct access into the shared walled garden.
Quay street leads to the estuary and quayside, and is just across the road from the newly opened Cardigan Castle & grounds. Attend the weekly music and poetry events in the Cellar Bar next door, with theatres, pubs, and restaurants only steps away.
  • The Garden Room provided us with a really comfortable 4 night stay in Cardigan. There is a large combined bed / living / dining room, which is fine for a couple on a short stay. The separate kitchen is extremely well equipped and the bathroom incorporates a terrific shower. On a cold, stormy late February weekend, the room was nicely warm. It had a separate door leading onto a garden area with bench, which would be lovely in warmer weather. Penny was really helpful and available. There is a low cost public car park two minutes walk away, with shops, restaurants and a three-screen independent cinema all within a few minutes walk. We had a great trip. Recommended.

    Neil2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Penny’s place was great for a relaxing get away over Valentine’s Day. We had everything we needed. Comfortable bed. Great cooking facilities and an amazing shower. Right in the centre of the town with easy access to local pubs and restaurants. Penny was always on hand for questions and even let us use her parking space for the few days we were there. The radiator in the bathroom did leak but that was sorted super quick and with no disruption for our days plans. Thanks penny. We will be back again!

    Brittany2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • New favourite place! Will be coming back here many time over for sure! Brilliant location, so quiet! The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed and more!

    Ash2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Certainly in my top 5 of places I’ve stayed at through Airbnb. Penny was a brilliant host, the apartment is modern and clean throughout. Location is brilliant for everything you need. Would 100% recommend

  • A lovely bright clean space in the center of town with a parking space down the road and a friendly and helpful host. We had a great stay and would book again if we're ever up that way.

    Joseph2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • A beautifully styled spacious apartment with everything you need. It is on the first floor up some stairs to the back of the building and has a cosy seating area outside. The bed is very comfortable, a large shower with a double head and a well equipped kitchen with a Cafetiere. The apartment is right next to the Cellar Bar in the centre of Cardigan but we didn't hear any noise even though there was live music on Saturday night. Cardigan itself has loads of places to eat - Pizza Tipi was our favourite for a relaxed atmosphere (only open the summer months) and Crwst for breakfast. Penny very welcoming and has put a useful blackboard at the entrance to the building with suggestions of where to eat and visit. A great base for exploring a gorgeous part of Wales.

    Katherine2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a brilliant week in Cardigan! Flat was exactly as described, clean and perfectly equipped! The area was lovely and quiet with plenty of people about to create a community atmosphere. The flat also felt safe and secure as two young, female travellers and the garden area provided a secluded spot to relax. Would definitely recommend! Penny was extremely helpful and happy to show us top spots for walks and meals out (We’d definitely recommend the coastal walk from Llangrannog to Ynys Lochtyn and the food in El Salsa) and was the perfect host! 😊

    Erin2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Penny's is the perfect place to stay in Cardigan. It oozes history, but provides all the 21st century comforts, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Penny knows Cardigan inside out, so there is no one better to guide you to getting the best out of this wonderful little town.

Simply furnished with outstanding views of the Teifi estuary surrounded by the goings on of a small secluded sheep and pony farm. Outdoor picnic bench, bbq and fire pit. Charcoal & wood available. Hot showers and toilets. No bedding. No wood burning stove. No electric, bring a torch. Wifi next to farmhouse.
Alltycoed yurts provide a smart, elegant but simple space that looks out on to one of the most beautiful views ever. Overlooking Cardigan island and the Teifi estuary we get graced with the most sublime sunrises. Some of the moon rises can also be just as spectacular. Although this is listed for 4 adults you are welcome to sleep extra children. Its your space. (max 6)
The entrance gate to the campsite is gate number one of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path Walk with our top fields being at the highest point on the entire coastal path route - stunning sunsets can be seen from the cliffs with as amazing sunrises to greet you in the morning when your camping. Poppit Sands is just over 1 mile down the coast path, its a blue flag beach with lifeguard cover in the spring and summer months. Dogs are welcome on half the beach during holiday season, perfect if you have a pooch with you.
  • Allt Y Coed is tucked away at the far end of a single track lane: the road literally goes no further. Upon arrival you'll find a farmhouse, a couple of fields set up for camping, and one with some yurts. And some of the most amazing views in the UK - on a nice day you will lose hours just drinking it all in. We were greeted warmly by Helen, who gave us a tour. We stayed in a yurt, kitted out with two floor mattresses and a sofa bed. Outside was a picnic table and small fire pit with complimentary kindling and logs. We were able to park next to our accommodation (not feasible with all of the yurts). The washroom was close by with good facilities, hot water and showers (chargeable- bring 20p pieces or £1 coins). You are moments from the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, which makes this remote idyll a great base. The beach is either a long walk or short drive, but well worth it.

  • Even with poor weather we had a great time. Barry couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Take warm clothing and supplies for the evening. Being so high if there is a wind on the beach its much stronger and colder at the site. Great place to stay.

    John2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Arrived in the middle of a wind storm and after the first night I was ready to pack up and go but decided that we’d stay and see if the weather changed, we had a fabulous time getting back to basics and the kids not having their luxury’s(ie: internet, tv iPad etc), we walked over 27,000 in one day which nearly killed our grandson haha, I now remember how much I loved camping when we were kids and not having to rely on electronics, if you want to stay out of the way and not have any internet then this is the place for you(one of the best beaches in Wales on your doorstep), Barry and let’s call her Barbara(not sure of her name) were perfect hosts

    Paul2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location, all the facilities you need for camping and friendly atmosphere all around!

    Paul2019-07-22T00:00:00Z

    Simon2019-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic find - lovely, safe space for the kids to play. Good showers and toilets. Helen was very welcoming and even upgraded us to a larger yurt. We had a bag of logs and kindling for free. The views are amazing. Would definitely stay again. It would be ideal for a family or friend group booking.

A cosy, light and airy cottage full of character which used to be the milking parlour. Set in a tranquil, rural location and only a short drive to Poppit Sands beach. St Dogmaels village is just down the road.
Full of character with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. The upstairs bedroom overlooks the living area and is perfect for couples or children as the single beds can be zipped together to make a super king-size double with an additional pull out bed underneath. You will find plenty of maps and info to help plan your stay or you may just wish to enjoy the peace and quiet and cwtch up in front of the log burner enjoy reading one of the many books available, watch a dvd or play a board game.
The village of St Dogmaels, with it's ruined abbey and old flour mill, is located on the estuary of the River Teifi close to the beach of Poppit Sands - the start of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. An ideal location for exploring the beautiful Preseli's hills with it's ancient burial chambers and famous bluestones used for the building of Stonehenge. We're very luck to have such a stunning coastline and both Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion have wonderful beaches ready to be explored. The village has a local award winning produce market which is held every Tuesday close by the Abbey and the duck pond. The Ferry Inn makes a great place to go for a meal and a pint and overlooks the estuary. Reopening later this year (2020), following refurbishment The Webley Hotel will be a stunning place to finish off the day when the sun goes down. The old market town of Cardigan is the nearest town with it's Castle and a good choice of shops and cafes.
  • Fantastic stay at this lovely cottage. Great space, decorated wonderfully. Parking space for two cars. Books, games, videos and toys for our toddler. Great location near to the shops, including a Tesco superstore but still far enough away to be surrounded by fields. Absolutely brilliant host. We arrived to a homemade crumble with cream in the fridge, delicious, and a bottle of wine on ice. Way above and beyond what we expected. If you're looking for something in this area, you won't go far wrong to book here.

  • Perfect stay for anyone wanting to relax and get away from work life. We took our dog and she absolutely loved running around the garden, which was completely secure and enclosed. The cottage is immaculate and has everything you could need for a cosy holiday away with useful tips on places to explore as well as board games and books. Would definitely recommend and hope to go back soon!

  • Lovely clean and comfortable accommodation. Great location for exploring Pembrokeshire/Wales. Fiona and Mark are very helpful and friendly, with home made apple crumble and logs delivered when needed. The space is well laid out and the kitchen has everything you will need. Secure garden for our 2 terriers, who would have found a hole if there was one!! Poppies sands is a very convenient dog walking beach and the local produce market on a Tuesday is worth exploring. Well worth the money and very highly recommend.

  • What a fantastic place. Lovely hosts who answered any communication quickly and provided plenty of information on local area. The accomodation was a beautiful space. Spotlessly clean and had everything we needed whilst staying. A comfortable space that was enjoyed by me my wife and our 3 children. Fiona had kindly made us a tasty apple crumble on arrival and it was quickly demolished by the family!! This really was a top notch accomodation and I will encourage my family and friends to book it and relax in wonderful surroundings. Thank you Fiona and Mark, we will be back

Sally & Kevin (Sept '19) "Thank you for sharing your lovely home and your wonderful hospitality. Your standards and amenities were by far the best we experienced this week". Pretty, newly refurbished, light bedroom with private bathroom (opposite the room), with a further single bedroom (4ft bed), if required, next to your room, making this space perfect for a couple, small family, or friends. With your comfort in mind, the room has a king sized bed, good quality mattress, down duvet/pillows and high thread count cotton linens. Bath and hand towels are included. If you would prefer a plain or patterned duvet cover (seriously, we aim to please:), then do ask for your favourite). Your private bathroom includes a bath and over-bath shower. This bathroom is exclusive to you and is situated opposite your bedroom. The single bedroom will NOT be let to any guests other than yourselves. Ideal for friends to have the use of two bedrooms, or a family requiring a separate room for one child. We provide a vegetarian breakfast 'of the day' which you may have in our kitchen or in the garden if the sun is shining :). If you do have any dietary requirements, please do let us know. A typical breakfast can be: organic oats or muesli, organic milk/soya/Oatley, plain yogurt, fresh fruit, organic, stone ground wholemeal home made bread/toast and home made/locally made preserves. We also offer a vegetarian supper of the day. Please enquire if this is something you may wish to book. Should you like to enjoy a packed lunch, this can also be provided for you. Please note: We use Ecover washing liquid for clothes and washing the dishes. We do not use any fabric conditioner or air fresheners/sticks other than natural ones, e.g. lavender. Secure bicycle storage available, access to bicycle tools and drying facilities.
Pretty Saint Dogmaels village has a local pub called The Ferry which is set on the estuary with a deck to sit out on as well as serving food and drinks in the main bar/restaurant area. This pub is dog-friendly in some areas. Nearby, in the Abbey grounds, The Coach House offers delicious breakfasts and lunches as well as housing a museum art gallery. On the High Street, is a small, well stocked shop, post office, fish and chip shop as well as an award winning local produce market on Tuesday mornings in winter, and also on Saturday mornings in the summer time in the Abbey grounds 1.5 miles to Poppit Sands Beach and equal distance to the nearby town of Cardigan with its historic castle, artisan bakeries, cosmopolitan eateries and an eclectic mix of shops. Nearby Cardigan offers a wealth of eateries; some of our personal favourites include: Pizza Tipi, serving pizzas on the river front El Salsa, delicious Mexican fare Bara Menyn, artisan sourdough bakery, plus the best patisserie for miles around. Great for breakfast, lunch or Wednesday evening pizza Crwst, another very good sourdough bakery serving all day breakfast and Portugest Tarts/doughnuts to die for as well as great coffee. We have a Bell Tent furnished with creature comforts including a double bed. There is a private flushing toilet and steaming hot power shower. We are in an idyllic, sheltered location at the foot of the Preselis with views of Carningli and Newport bay. We are providing a wild, back to nature, camping experience. With little to no artificial light in the area we have fantastic nightscapes.
We have two alpacas that roam the field along with a lamb and two pygmy goats. A public footpath runs through the site and links us to the Pembrokeshire footpath network, and also to Nevern which is approximately 15 minutes walk away with its beautiful pub and Roman Church with Celtic cross and the famous bleeding tree.
The popular town of Newport, with it's ancient port, beach and an array of eclectic cafe's is five minutes away by car. Ten minutes in the other direction is the Market Town of Cardigan.
  • This place is unbelievably stunning! The space is straight out of a magazine on glamping, and the view of the sunset is incredible. The shower was super easy to use, drinking water was provided, and there were options for outdoor cooking as well. I was worried it might be cold at night but lots of warm blankets provided made the tent cozy as could be!

The Coach House is a Grade II Listed building lovingly restored to provide a unique holiday atmosphere with access from the open plan living space to an enclosed garden, hot tub, architectural ceilings, an impressive master bedroom (super-King) with ensuite. The farm sits on the banks of the magical river Teifi directly opposite the Wildlife Park, with Cardigan and the beaches 1.5 miles away. Accommodates families, couples, bigger groups (other cottages available) solo adventurers and pets.
Historic, its the original Coach House (carriage and horses) to the main house here at the Farm. To maximise the original features its an upside down house i.e. the bedrooms are downstairs. Extremely light, attractive, open plan living space in an old historic building with direct access from the kitchen out to the bbq and garden area
  • Awesome location, great amenities! Really cosy and tidy place!

    Ashley2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We (myself and two friends) enjoyed a lovely stay here! The hosts had very quick responses to any questions whilst we were there, also they've left a great information book giving you some ideas of what to do! A lovely surrounding area with loads to do! We especially enjoyed the Cardigan animal farm (15 minute drive) and a round walk across the river and into cardigan and back (3.5hr ish walk)!

    Ania2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very enjoyable stay at the coach house. The property is exactly as described, and was exactly what we were looking for. Zero communication from the host and 3 messages not replied to was not great, but I would certainly return and recommend it to other people.

    Tom2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Super hot tub, quiet relaxing place close to Cardigan and lovely beaches. Our children loved the goats and the buzzard that seemed to be nesting there.

    Anna2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • GORGEOUS place and location. My husband and his boys loved the opportunity to kayak down the river all the way down to Poppit Sands. What a wonderful base for adventures on the Welsh coast. We were so lucky with the weather, visited Mwnt Bay on the hottest day of the year and took the kids to the gorgeous Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park. Hot tub was an extra treat, we felt spoiled in such a beautiful place with such a wonderful vibe. Thank you!!

    Adriana & Dominic2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I spent a great week in the Coach House. We were welcomed upon arrival by the host Nici and given a quick demo of how to use the hot tub and a request to adhere to the recycling scheme they have in place. That apart from an occasional cheery greeting was all the contact we had, just as it should be. We spent our days exploring the wonderful coastline in the area and further south in Pembrokeshire, returning every evening for a relaxing soak in the hot tub. The cottage is relatively well equipped, the only negative being the non functioning washing machine. The en-suite to the master bedroom has a spacious shower with plenty of hot water.

    Michael2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely location on a farm away from everything. Yet, only five minutes away from town. Our stay was very relaxing and sat out in the hot tub under the stars was fabulous. Great place to get away from busy life and slow down.

    Ross2019-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • A great place and space to relax and explore West Wales! Great rural location in close distance to Cardigan (Tesco and Aldi were just a 10 minute drive away) We stayed here for 4 days with our 2 year old son and it was perfect for him to run in and around the enclosed garden and Coach House (there is a gate blocking off the stairs, although he did work out the catch fairly quickly! A high chair was also provided) Gwen, Nici's daughter, was a fantastic host, so friendly and accommodating. We recommend a visit to 'Crwst' in Cardigan for breakfast/brunch as the food was amazing! And Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park to see the local wild seals.

  • Very cool spot with wicked views and a super eco feel, we were there in the depths of November (last people of the season, only fools dumb enough to brave the cold) - but we were greeted with plenty extra blankets and hot water bottles we could refill in our private kitchen. The goats Dylan and Lucy were a welcome bonus, and the views were lovely even in the rain. Will definitely be interested in coming back in the summer to have breakfast on the private decking looking out over the river : ) thanks!!!

  • You know when you have been somewhere and loved it so much you go back ... and then it turns out not to be the way you imagined it ... this is NOT that story! This is the second year we have been to stay at Nici's' Dome with a View - this time we took extended family so also had the added apprehension of having recommended it - but all of us are making plans for next year. It is an absolute piece of heaven... a haven ... a slice of paradise. And they really could not have done more for us. The facilities are amazing, the farm lovely, the river glorious, the roaming goats (Dylan and Lucy) hysterical (and greedy), local activities (whale watching, mackerel fishing, kayaking, coast-steering) incredible, hardwork, adrenaline creating and tiring .. oh and did I mention the awesomely comfortable double bed in the Dome with most stunning views. Thank you for another epic, memory creating time...

  • We had a wonderful few days at the long house. It’s was cosy and charming, in a beautiful location and with everything we needed. So good to get away from it all. It’s tucked away in a magical valley but surprisingly easy to get around from. Cardigan and St. Dogmaels has everything you need and the coast path and surrounding countryside is stunning.

  • Wow! a truly special place to stay in an area that never fails. We will be back again, definitely. Peaceful, comfy, stylish, charming, tranquil - all the things you end in a holiday home. We even tried to extend our holiday, but they were booked up.

  • Stunning seclusion! We were lucky enough to spend a fortnight at this lovely house. Our family of five and, for part of our stay, some extended family were very comfortably accommodated with the house being very well appointed for a great stay. The extensive grounds made for many hours of happy diversion for our kids. The house is short drive from lovely Cardigan with its diverse shops and eateries as well as being close to many stunning beaches. Hosts were perfect and happy to help with local tips and advice. We very much look forward to returning.

  • A lovely home with a beautiful, tranquil garden. Excellent communication with host and warm welcome in arrival. We loved our stay, blessed with sunny weather, a great base for us to group together before a family wedding.

  • This is a lovely place to stay in a tranquil location. The house is elegant and comfortable, with a great kitchen for cooking. The garden is huge and sheltered, with a stream. Beware for older visitors, there are lots of steps throughout the house, as it is built down the hillside! Clean, light and well equipped throughout, we loved our stay.

  • This is a great little place if you want to step off the beaten track a little and switch off from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Lovely property full of character and charm, set in a beautiful valley with an enchanting garden for the kids to explore and discover streams, swings and trampolines. Always a hit! Hosts were lovely and welcoming, attentive to any needs you required. Whilst a little remote, lovely beaches and most other amenities are within easy reach by car. Would definitely recommend and consider again in the future.

  • A perfect retreat whether you are just chilling or exploring. Beautiful beaches and coastline nearby. House and grounds are beautiful, we felt very spoilt! This was the only house we found on Air bnb that ticked all the boxes and provided everything we wanted, so would absolutely return!!

  • A truly idyllic Cottage in a heavenly little valley filled with sunlight and birds song during our visit over the Easter weekend. Ben and Beth are brilliant hosts and have thought of every little detail in their beautiful and artistic home. The cottage was very comfortable for the four of us (2 couples) and our dogs. It is filled with wonderful books and lovely little design details. There was plenty of practical space for the dogs. The kitchen was excellent and a lovely social space. The sitting room was comfy and cosy for the evenings and the bedrooms were very comfy with plenty of bathroom options too. We loved the plunge bath! Rhyd y Fantwn is a great location from where we could explore this beautiful part of north Pembrokeshire. We had visited before but not had the chance to explore so well. We did lots of walking and there are wonderful walks straight from the house. We have a variety of sizes of dog, so it was nice to be able to walk with the larger two on bridle paths and not have to climb stiles everywhere like at home. We managed a good day walk from the house along the coast path to Poppit Sands and back. We spent time on the glorious beach at Newport too. Lots of other places to visit so we are already looking at a return trip. For us the house is perfect and we didn’t mind not having a television as we don’t watch much at home. We also didn’t mind not having great internet. However both these might be of concern to others. If you like the peace of the countryside and the relaxed atmosphere that this area offers then anyone would fall in love with the cottage and its setting as we did!

Trellyfaint Farm is a working Dairy Farm nestled in Pembrokeshire and within the National Park. The farm has direct access to the Coastal Path and the house is set in lawned gardens, orchard, with stunning views from the lounge/sunroom of Carningli a mountain in the Preseli Hills near the town of Newport, Pembrokeshire.
It is large house with plenty of room to relax. We have 2 bathrooms of which one will be available for your exclusive use. 1 bathroom has toilet and shower while the other has a large deep bath and a toilet. The grounds are substantial with plenty of parking. We have just renovated a large pond and in late summer the orchard is full of apples, and pears. We are fortunate to have a lot of trees around the house which is home to a stunning tawny owl, ring neck doves and on dusk you will often see a few bats. A great location to get a bit of R&R and enjoy nature.
We your hosts are Kiwis living over here and have found this place to be the closet area in the UK, to be like New Zealand. It is a lovely, picturesque, quiet area with breath taking views of the Preseli's and Carningli but also with the lovely Newport Beach close by. Newport is home to some lovely cafes, pubs and restaurants. It has a few gift shops or galleries to take home a souvenir or two. Close by we are lucky to have a couple of Micro brewery's with some very tasty Ales. Our main attraction has to be the Coastal Path which goes right around the coast of Wales. Has stunning views and often the opportunity to spot the odd seal splashing about. Trellyffaint is situated halfway between Newport and Ceibwr Bay so an ideal spot for an overnight break while adventuring on the Coastal Path. The local bus that services the Path walkers also goes right past the top of the road so would work well if wanting to use us as a base. The farm also has its own access to the Coastal Path Track so no need to use a vehicle if you don't want to.
  • It is a very nice spacious location with a very kind host. Every morning a special and delicious breakfast (also with scones). A great location to discover the surroundings. Only a few miles away from the lovely village Newport with a great beach.

  • Barbara and Pete is what Airbnb is all about, sharing their house with travelers and not only be a sleep over, but also giving us a peek of life on the farm. Their hospitality is so heart warming and kind. Not only dit they spoil us with a scrumptious breakfast, but also took the time to embrace the children's interests and teach them more about farm living. Their location is great for exploring South West Wales and still stay remote where it's quiet. The house is spacious and super clean. We will recommend them any day!

  • Fantastic hospitality.... freedom to come and go .... warm, friendly place.

  • Tucked away in the countryside, but an easy route into Newport. Barb made us really welcome. Our two rooms were a good size and the beds were lovely and comfortable. We would recommend it, and would definitely stay there again 😊

  • Barb and Pete are wonderful hosts and their place (a working dairy farm) is terrific. Barb makes a terrific breakfast. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. Everything is spacious, light and clean. The farm is very handy for the coastal path - I had two very good days of walking. This has been one of my best Airbnb experiences. Barb and Pete went out of their way to help me during my visit. Overall a great stay and highly recommended.

  • Barbara and Pete 's farmhouse is very comfortable. We had a most relaxing time and highly recommend our hosts.

    Kris2018-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay with Barbara and Pete. They are incredibly kind, friendly and generous hosts. We were going to a family wedding in the area so our big regret was not managing to stay longer and having the chance to explore such a beautiful area. We loved staying away from it all in the farmhouse and definitely hope to return one day.

  • This Airbnb is in a wonderful location with great views of the Preselli hills and very close to fantastic beaches and lots of sites of historic interest. The accommodation is very spacious and comfortable and the hosts couldn't have been friendlier or more welcoming. We were made to feel like part of the family straight away.
