Recently renovated farm labourer's cottage (main part of building 2 storey) situated in a quiet area of Moville Co.Donegal. This cottage is tastefully decorated and fully equipped to provide a home from home while on holiday. Our home is ideally placed if you want to relax, play golf or shop in neighbouring Derry.
  • The location is excellent and the house really does have everything you need for cooking and entertaining your children. I would stay again.

    Elaine2016-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location and gorgeous cottage. Pictures really don't do it justice. Siobhan was so helpful and easy to communicate with. All very straight forward and stress free. The cottage is gorgeous! Lovely vibe and very tastefully decorated. Fire place is delightful, beds are comfy and we loved every minute of our little holiday. Thanks Siobhan we can't wait to come back again!

    Nicola2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • We are a family of 4 on a weekend break. Siobhan's place is clean, comfortable and quiet. Convenient to town and visiting surrounding areas. Some great places to eat in Mobile including Rosato's (our favourite) and Inish Fusion. Only minor drawback was limited Wi-Fi which does not allow streaming however still allows internet access. House was cold on arrival however there were adequate heaters available for immediate heat whilst the main heating kicked in. Lots of lovely little touches around including dvds, books for the kids and chocs on arrival.

    Amanda2017-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic accommodation. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay. We felt right at home straight away. The host has gone above and beyond to make sure everything was provided. We stayed with our 2 year old and there was a stair gate, baby bath, cot and much more. The location is brilliant and a 3 minute walk from the beach. It's also a short walk from the local village. Cottage itself is spotless with very comfy beds. The little garden was perfect and even has a gas bbq and sun loungers. We would happily stay here again and recommend it highly.

    Jen2016-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • This little cottage was just like a home from home, it was just perfect. Warm, cosy, very clean and everything we expected it to be and more. My recommendation is that we will be back. Lovely place, great location, we spent a very happy time here.

  • Beatiful wee house lovingly renovated and in a great location. The attention to detail is lovely and the house is warm, comfortable and clean. The kitchen is a great size and the lounge comfortable and stylish. Beds comfy and wee touches like a box of books and magazines and a wee gift on arrival make a difference too;great that there are basics in the cupboard too like oil, condiments tea etc. There was a problem with the heating when we arrived but Siobhan and Hugh were there very quickly to sort it out and even offered to light the coal fire! Great hosts, great house- we may be back!

  • Directions what we drive by from Airbnb brought us around 3 miles away from actual house. We have contacted Philomena and we decided to meet her in local Centra shop which was easy to find. Philomena lives next door and she is available if you need something. House is like on the pictures, clean, great views on Lough Foyle. When we arrived Philomena had fire lit for us but there was only little coal left. We had to go straight away to local shop to buy kindling and coal so we keep house warm. We didnt appreciate that after 4 hours drive. Electricity and Gas are not included in price for house. Philomena took reading and we payed at the end of our trip. For 4 people and 2 nights it was 15 euro. We had our dog Labrador with us, we booked house for 4 of us and our dog but Philomena wasnt aware of it, because she said she is new to airbnb and she didnt read our email to her but her daughter did. That was disappointing as our dog means everything to us..But we understand that was probably down to miscommunication..Moville is nice little town, with few pubs and places to eat. There is nice coastal walk..House is two minutes drive from centre of town..Donegal is beautiful part of Ireland

  • The Cotage in Greenville is hard to describe... I'll try it with awesome, great, fantastic. On our arrival there was already a fire to warm up the place and Mary picked us up at the village so it was really easy to find. After a good introduction into the house and great advices what to do Mary left us in a great home. There are a lot of great things to say about the house and Mary, but in short: I would recommend this house to everybody! Its perfect for a family with kids because of the big garden and a lot of toys and also to a group of friends, like we were, who are looking for a little bit nature. Thanks Mary for this great 2 days in your house!

  • Mary T was fantastic with Bob the only one of us to have arrived home, he was then also an accident and Mary has helped tremendously! We thank infinitely.

  • We received a lovely warm welcome from Mary who met us at the ferry port and showed us the way to An Shorlan. The views were wonderful and the bungalow is set in a peaceful spot half way up a hill. We had problems with the internet but Mary tried to resolve them as quickly as possible. However the internet connection was very intermittent and limited which remained a problem for us as my husband needed to work whilst we were there. An Shorlan is a clean, reasonably well equipped bungalow, ideal for people taking their dog on holiday with them.

    Julia2016-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place! We were met by the lovely Mary who went out of her way to make us feel really welcome. The bungalow has everything you need, it really is a home from home. Fantastic location, breath taking views. We will definitely be back.

  • The rental experience was excellent. House was really nice in a great part of Donegal. Mary is very helpful with key collection and had a nice fire going when we arrived. Recommended for any stays in the region.

On the east of the Inishowen peninsula, the property is a 10 minute walk from Greencastle village with harbour, shop, post office, pubs and restaurants. The view is stunning, looking across the Foyle to Magilligan Point and with beautiful, sandy beaches locally. Two local golf courses: Greencastle & Ballyliffin. Derry airport is 45 mins by car. You’ll love my place because of the view, peace and quiet, comfy beds, kitchen, and general cosiness. The house is good for couples as well as families.
The house is spacious and there is a large, secluded garden with cattle grid. There is a well equipped kitchen with everything a keen cook might require. The sitting room has an open fire with logs provided for cosy nights in, looking out to sea. There's plenty of reading matter in the hall bookcase plus a small, public library in Moville. There are two showers, two bathrooms and a cloakroom with wc. Being close to Northern Ireland means there is normally a UK mobile phone signal available.
Greencastle is a charming fishing village with a shop, post office, fish and chippy, pubs and two restaurants. It also has a fishing museum and in summertime a ferry boat runs from the harbour across to Magilligan. There is a lovely links golf course a few minutes from the village plus the championship course at Ballyliffin is 20 minutes by car. The area is archeologically rich with the remains of a castle and Napoleonic fort within the village plus numerous stone crosses dotted around the peninsula.
  • Fantastic place with breathtaking views that we didn't want to take our eyes off. Quiet with a lovely isolated feel but with nice places to eat and small shops about 20-30 mins walk away. Very spacious with lots of ambience and character.

On the "Wild Atlantic Way" in Inishowen and situated above the quaint Fishing village of Greencastle with impressive views of the Foyle and the Northern Ireland Coastline. Pet-friendly. A lovely house situated in a private development and close to Moville. Malin Head is one way and we are less than 30 minutes from The City of Derry and retail therapy if the beaches and quaint little pubs and restaurants all become too much for some in your party ;0)
Everything needed to make a house a home because it is our second home and we like to be comfortable. Open fire (but you can cheat with the central heating), plenty of room to sleep a family of 6 like ours or two couples with kids :0)
Our house is part of a private development where only two of the homes are holiday homes so it feels very warm and friendly. The families are of all ages and everyone looks out for everyone else but there is no busybodies ;0)
  • Our stay was lovely. The house was very warm and comfortable. It has beautiful views and Dermot was very quick in responding. I would stay here again in a second.

  • Dermot was a fantastic host; he was always easy to contact and ensured we knew how to locate the property before we set off. He also recommended local attractions and events during our stay. The property itself is bright, spacious and modern. It was spotlessly clean and was perfect for a family getaway. We would love to return in the future!

    Suzi2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Nice location and friendly host, Dermot was quick to respond to queries. We slept well in the spacious and comfortable bedrooms. The shower was great too! We found a travel cot which was handy for our 2-year-old. Wonderful beaches just a short drive away.

  • Really enjoyed our stay in this home from home. A comfortable house that has everything you need and is a great place to chill out. It's a good base to travel about from and local pubs and shops within walking distance. Dermot was a great host and kept in touch to make sure everything was ok and offer suggestions of places to go. Enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

  • We loved our stay here the first week in July. It was a comfortable base for a family of five. My kids called it the beach house. We fell in love with Inishowen Head beach. It's only a four minute drive from Larissa's place. We loved Donegal. There is so much to see and do from Greencastle. We got to do the Titanic museum, see Dunluce Castle and the Giants Causeway. Visit Culdaff Beach and Malin Head. We got to visit the Inishowen Maritime Museum & Planetarium at Greencastle. We even got to do archery at Foylehov on the way to the Giants Causeway. We were fortunate to see seals and dolphins at Inishowen Head beach. We had wonderful fish and chips from the takeway at Greencastle and had tasty icecream from Mauds Ice Cream Parlour at Moville. Two things to note about Greencastle. The mobile service for 3 is roaming from the UK and the signal isn't great. It's like this the eastern part of Inishowen. When you go to Culdaff beach you get the Irish 3 network again. The tap water is mountain peaty so bring bottled water. There are lots of shops in Buncrana so you can stock up here. Donegal is magical and Larissa's place at Greencastle Cove is a great place to stay.

Perfect walking distance to the village, to the beaches, and beautiful drives up and down the coast. The home was perfect for myself and my husband and our two teenaged daughters. Everyone in town was friendly. Really great location to explore the north coast.

Greencastle village itsel,f where the house is situated, is very pretty, has amazing local beaches. very friendly people with nice bars and food. Carmel is exceptionally warm, helpful and efficient! Would highly recommend.

From the balcony you can see Beaches, Shipping, Birds, Mountains, Tidal flow (the tide rips through to the sea/lough in front of you). We have spotted Seals, Dolphin and even a Basking Shark. Short 10 min coastal walk into village and harbor with pubs and restaurants. Greencastle golf course practically next door with many more nearby. Nearby beaches. Coastal walks. Ferry to NI - Giants Causway, Bushmills etc My place is suitable for more than one family as kids room can sleep up to 5 kids.
This apartment is very well equipped and the view will captivate you. Wifi is available via a 3 mobile mini port - this is quite slow but ok for the essentials. You will have to buy credit.
  • This apartment is in a stunning location on Loch Foyle. The ever changing vista of the water and the wildlife is captivating. Every little thing has been thought of from binoculars through to DVDs and books. All comforts have been taken care of and the information given is comprehensive. Greencastle is well situated to explore Donegal and is only around 30mins into Derry/Londonderry for more city based activities.

  • Bob was at the property on arrival and was very welcoming. The property is amazing with brilliant views and spacious and comfortable accommodation.

  • Wow what a great holiday apartment and location! We are frequent visitors to Greencastle and decided to rent somewhere for the week to meet up with family. From the start Bob kept in touch and responded quickly to any questions we had. The apartment is extremely well equipped and ideal for families....games, dvds, bunk beds etc. The view from the apartment is what sold it for us...such a tranquil setting with the most amazing views across the Foyle to the north coast. Great location in terms of travelling beyond greencastle and despite the weather it was still lovely to visit the beaches at Shroove, Culdaff and Kinnego Bay. We walked the coastal path into moville which was just beautiful and stopped at the Cosy Cottage for breakfast as recommended by Bob. We also had great food in Rosatos and the Beachhouse. Bob and Angie were very accommodating in terms of early and late checkin/out and they had loads of info on things to do while staying there. Great holiday and we'll definitely be back to no 23 again! Thanks

  • Bob was very easy to deal with & provided us with very clear & helpful information. The apartment is very well equipped & comfortable, in a beautiful setting. We found it a very relaxing holiday with lots to see and do.

  • What a view! Bob's place was very comfortable and offered us everything we needed. The view was spectacular and you have easy access to the coast. Parking was plentiful and the location was a convenient travel point to other points of interest. Note that the ferry is not running as of May 2017 so factor that into your travel plans!

  • Excellent accommodation Which we would definitely recommend.

A large and unique beachfront home with spectacular views of Lough Foyle and Magilligan Beach. Located steps to the cosy 'Point Bar & Restaurant' you can experience a drink by the fireside overlooking beautiful Inishowen in Donegal. (Film location of Star Wars). This house also boasts easy access to a number of Northern Ireland's most famous tourist locations: Portstewart Portrush Giants Causeway Carrick-A-Rede rope bridge Bushmills Distillery Binevenagh (Games of Thrones production location)
Magilligan Point is an isolated beach and the most north-westerly tip of Northern Ireland. There is a summer ferry service connecting Magillligan Point with Greencastle, County Donegal. The house sits right on the beach and beside the Magilligan Martello Tower built as the first line of defense against the feared Napoleonic invasion of the 19th Century - which never materialized! Magilligan sits on one of the British Isles' largest sand dune systems.
  • Absolutely stunning house with amazing views. Audrey was very kind and helpful (and flexible with our delayed flight) The house has everything you need and more - looking out over the beautiful bay in the evening with the log fire burning was heaven. We ate at the pub next door every night, because the food was top class and the staff were so friendly. Can't wait to return as soon as we can!!

  • This is an amazing home, in a perfect location. I was traveling with my mom, brother's family, and my own...8 of us in total...touring around Ireland, and we all commented how this was our favorite Airbnb of the trip, and wished we could've stayed longer. House has amazing views, is in a peaceful, private location, is super spacious, and there's a wonderful pub steps away! Central to all of the sites on the Northern coast as well!

    Karen2017-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic Location for exploring the Northern tip of Ireland. Right next to the beach and a fantastic bar. Would highly recommend.

  • Cannot recommend Magilligan's Place enough. Wonderful location and a truly fantastic house with plenty of space to unwind. No Wifi which was fine by us and you will need a car. The Point Bar ( literally next door ) serves excellent food which , if you want , they will deliver to the house. Audrey was helpfulness itself. 10 out of 10

    tim2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very spacious, with large bedrooms, kitchen and living room. We really enjoyed the fireplace in the living room, and the sunset views across the loch (lough) out front.

    Theo2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful peaceful and isolated house with a pub next door and a beach down a few steps! Wrap up on the beach as it can be very windy. Audrey was very welcoming with a very generous welcome pack of essentials. Really great that towels and basic toiletries provided. Plenty of room in the house. Perfect for peace and quiet with beautiful views across to Donegal. No wifi and tv with very limited reception which in my view is a bonus but the kids weren't so impressed with that aspect!

    Carolyn2017-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • The house was really comfortable with great views out over the bay, the beach is literally on your doorstep with a lovely restaurant next door, we ate there both nights and really enjoyed the food. Audrey was very welcoming and had everything we needed ready, communication was prompt and she was there waiting for us when we arrived. It's a great, peaceful place to stay and would definitely recommend it.

  • Lucia is very accommodating, helpful and a very nice host and we will surely come back to this place!! Their house has a nice garden and breathtaking view of the ocean. The apartment is totally separate from their house so you will have the freedom to come and go anytime you like and parking just beside the apartment. The room has all the things that we need that made our stay very comfortable. Very quiet and peaceful. The location is near the Shroove lighthouse where the beach is, Michael John's pub, and near Moville where some of the attractions are. We love the place!
