  • We had a lovely stay at the yurt. With an original design, a fireplace and amazing views its all you need in order to relax. In the middle of the mountains, away from everything yet with all the amenities. Bryce and Deirdre were a great help to us. I highly recommend staying here.

  • Beautiful yurt! Perfect for a peaceful getaway. Great walks and views of the mountains. Everything you need in the yurt and the bathroom in a trailer is the best. Bryce is lovely and made us feel very welcome. We would defiantly recommend this yurt and would go back again.

  • Unfortunately we never arrived because we used the link airbnb sent us instead of following the directions he sent us! He was super friendly and tried to help us but it was to far away to still get there before night time. He promissed to look up the link and planner to do a refund or we could stay another night so I think he did anything possible in the situation. (Except for the fact that his phone was switched off) Thank you for your help bryce. Im sure we Will be back!

House is located within walking distance from town centre with lovely views of the galtee mountains. Mitchelstown is a central to surround towns of fermoy, cork city and Limerick. Saint Fanahan's well is across the street.
Very spacious home with everything you could need during your visit. House is equipped with comfortable beds, plenty of storage and sitting room with a fireplace for the winter evening. Sitting room comes with plenty of seating room and large flat screen with all uk and irish tv channels.
Commuter town very central between cork and limerick cities.
  • Davids apartment was very clean and tidy and in a quiet location with a great scenic view. But also walking distance to the town. The rooms were clean and tidy. Kitchen has all the things needed. Would recommend to anyone and would stay again. Also great communication. Thanks again

  • Davids house was clean, comfortable, and has some of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. The washer and dryer are so convenient to have included and the house has everything in a kitchen you would need.

  • Mitchelstown is a quaint village with lots of activity and amenities. It is a great location for visiting Cork and surrounding areas. The house is centrally located with a beautiful view.

  • We were very comfortable in this lovely house. Each bedroom has a large and very comfortable bed; the kitchen is fully equipped and everything was clean and in proper order. We had some trouble at first with the hot water, but Rosa came in just a few minutes after our call and all was straightened out. The house is in a residential area in a town well situated for excursions to Cork, Kinsale, Blarney, Cahir and Cashel. We recommend it to people who want to explore these places.

    Karen2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place to stay! Shops are all within walking distance. The beds are some of the most comfortable that we've slept it. Overall a comfortable and tidy space. Lloyd is a great, friendly host, able to deal with problems quickly should they arise.

  • Very handy location. Property clean and tidy.

  • Nice cozy place close to town. Couple living in the adjacent house are jus wonderful and sleays willing to help. A wonderful stay. Highly reccommended.

    Gabriel2017-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Only negative Airbnb experience I have ever had - was v disappointed - property should be listed as a share house as it is not an entire home that you get despite being listed as this. Getting dressed in the morning and having to pull blinds down because people from other section of house are walking by your window is not appropriate when you have rented an entire home to have private time with your family while at home on holiday in Ireland and hearing everything going on from their end of the house. A short guide regarding operation of water/heat/Tvs would have been helpful as nothing appeared to function but probably just needed some simple instructions. Host not friendly/helpful - manages the property on behalf of the owners. So expensive based on everything, would not recommend

A very comfortable Irish cottage with tons of character. View of the famous Galtee Mountains/ Stunning Glengarra Woods, Mitchelstown caves, Cahir castle and Swiss Cottage not far away. Heaven for those who love walking or cycling! Nearest town is Mitchelstown (3 miles away) and easy access to motorway. Corner shop, traditional Irish lifestyle. Woods, country pubs. Open fire for those cosy nights in!. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. Non smokers preferred.
Our guests will have their own private shower and bathroom, they may avail of the kitchen and I am happy to leave breakfast and tea amenities for them too.
Mitchelstown is near the motorway to Dublin and it's great for long walks and it is a very peaceful and wonderful place to relax.
  • Very friendly welcome to a lovely comfortable home. We had a large spacious bedroom and separate bathroom. There is a great view including baby bunnies frolicking outside. Breakfast included freshly pressed juices which tasted delicious and set us up for the day.

  • Shane and Richelle (and lovely children) were very welcoming with Shane going out of his way to show us the way to get there (which was not that difficult!). Room bright and airy and clean bathroom for our own use. Though did not need to eat the offer was readily made to share or make our own meal. Thanks to them both for a great stay.

  • Very friendly family! I enjoyed sharing my experiences with them. I came to look up family history and they joined in on the adventure! Had a great time.

  • Lovely cosy family home! Shane and Richelle made us feel really welcome. The bungalow is ideally placed for anyone wanting to walk in the Galtees or Knockmealdown mountains, with both being less than 15 minutes drive by car. We also recommend the Michelstown cave and Cahir castle. Although the bungalow is beautifully quiet and rural it is really easy to get to from the motorway and the directions provided were great. We had a fantastic few days, felt completely at home and well rested by the end of our stay!

  • Bill and Carmel were amazing hosts. They are both really welcoming and friendly people who always make time for chat and were great with local information and directions. The house is in an idealistic countryside setting and really makes the most out of the views over the neighboring countryside. The rooms are bright and spacious and the entire house is immaculately clean and tidy. My room was really comfortable and warm with an en suite bathroom which had a great shower, constant hot water, clean towels and toiletries. Breakfast was provided every morning with an arrangement of home baked Irish breads and homemade muesli as well as a choice of several cereals, fresh orange juice and tea/coffee. Carmel would also cook an evening meal on request but you could just as easily look after your own cooking and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need. I am hoping to stay with Bill and Carmel again in the near future and am delighted to recommend them to others.

  • Bill and Carmel were exceptional hosts. Waited patiently for me to arrive as I got lost navigating Ireland by car- kettle on for my late arrival. The house (designed and built by Bill!) is as stunning as it looks in the pictures. Two very friendly dogs to meet, if you choose- otherwise they are secretly guarding the house. Lovely comfortable bed and en suite power shower. In summary: a clean, warm, friendly home with fantastic hosts and fast breakfast. I'm looking forward to coming back. Geoff

  • The cottage is in a very quiet area - you need a car for sure. Our kids loved having the cows look in the living room window each morning and hearing the donkey call over the fence. We were staying the area to visit family so we really only used the house for sleeping and breakfast.

We are located on the mountain and are surrounded by beautiful countryside and peaceful hill walks. This is a large, comfortable family home which is ideal for guests to unwind at the end of a day of sightseeing or hill walking or to just escape from the stresses of everyday life. We offer a double room and a single room. (The single room is listed seperately).
Burkes Place is situated in a secluded setting on Carrigeen Mountain, below Galtymore above the village of Kilbeheny, County Limerick. We are located on the mountain and are surrounded by beautiful countryside and peaceful hill walks. We have a large, comfortable family home and we have welcomed family and friends to our home for many years as the children were growing up. Now we would like to offer our home and hospitality to Airbnb guests as our nest continues to empty. Burke’s Place is an ideal spot to unwind after a day’s hill walking or sightseeing or just to spend time away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We can accommodate up to 3 guests with a comfortable double room and single room. The single room is a separate listing but can be booked with the double room. As we are 7 miles from the nearest town we offer a light breakfast to all guests to set you up for the day. The breakfast is included in the room prices. For an extra charge we can provide packed lunches and an evening meal if required.
Carrigeen Mountain is located in County Limerick within the Galty Mountain range on the border with the counties of Tipperary and Cork. The house is south facing so there are grand views of the Knockmealdown Mountains of Tipperary and Waterford. As you step out of the door there are numerous walks for every level of fitness whether you want to climb to the summit of Galtymore or enjoy a leisurely walk. The name "Galty” roughly derives from "Mountains of the Forests" in English. The Galty Mountains are Ireland's highest inland mountain range. The highest peak is Galtymore which rises to 3009 Ft. There are 5 corrie lakes on the mountain range including Lough Musky, Lough Curra, and Lough Bohreen. Along the outlying ridge of the Galty Mountains lies Moanour Mountain. Part of this mountain has been protected as a Special Area of Conservation due to the presence of rare grassland habitat and rare arctic alpine plants such as the small white orchid. Between the Galty Mountains and the Slievenamuch Ridge is the Glen of Aherlow, a stunningly beautiful valley that is also very popular with walkers. There are also shorter local walks that take in the beautiful scenery and seclusion of the area. We can advise you on local walks or hillwalking and can provide maps if needed. Kilbeheny Village is 10 minute’s drive from the house and the nearest town is Mitchelstown which is twenty minutes drive. It is a 15-minute drive to the M8 (Motorway link between Dublin and Cork). Cork City & Limerick City are approximately an hour’s drive away. Local places of interest include Cahir Castle and the Swiss Cottage, The Rock of Cashel, Mitchelstown Caves, Lismore Castle & Gardens, Mount Mellary, the beautiful Vee Valley and the Glen of Aherlow. We can advise you on local eateries, events etc. on your visit. Burke’s Place is ideal for hill walkers or guests who want to get to know the local area. Whatever the activity all guests can relax in a peaceful, friendly, comfortable environment. The History. My Father was born at Burkes Place and my Mother was born in the neighbouring townland of Carrigeen. The house was always known as Burkes Place so we have retained the name. My parents were part of the mass emigration from the mountain in the 1950’s and they made a life for themselves in England. As children we spent our summers here so I have a huge emotional connection to the mountain. My father’s home place was sold out of the family but 20 years later myself and my husband purchased the cottage and land to raise our own family.
  • We stayed one night and it was amazing. Kathleen offered us a dinner meal for a small extra charge and it was unbelievable delicious! We ate with her and her daughter and had a marvellous evening and conversation. Everything was perfect from the second of our arrival to our departure. We are really happy for that experience and would absolutely recommend staying here

    Felix2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Kathleen & Simon are welcoming and give goods advices. We appreciated to discuss with them, and to learn a lot about irish habits. We enjoyed Kathleen's Granola yoghurts and her homemade bread ! The location is far from the town, well situated to visit the area (Cork, Cahir castle, Michelstown Caves, the Rock of Cashel, ...). It's a relaxing and quiet place, good to have a break with the city. We recommand this place :)

  • Just after returning from a one nights stay in Burkes place, and must say that I couldn't possibly fault it. From the very minute we arrived, the hosts looked after us like we were family; going above and beyond to make sure we were well looked after while there. The place was spotless, really cosy and beautifully decorated. On top of that, the food over the weekend was brilliant. Being a vegetarian, I appreciate that I'm not the ideal dinner guest, but Kathleen prepared a gorgeous two course meal the night we arrived, and the homemade soda bread, breakfast muffins and granola parfaits were a welcome surprise the following morning for breakfast! Overall we had a fabulous stay in Burkes place. Would highly recommend it, and will definitely return should we find ourselves visiting this area again.

  • Kathleen and her daughter Aoife made us feel absolutely welcome from the moment we arrived. We did have some difficulty in finding the place but Kathleen jumped straight into her car to come looking for us! The house is located in an absolutely magnificent part of the country with amazing views in all directions. The nibbles she had prepared for us upon arrival were delicious, as too was the home cooked meal we availed of. Most of all we will remember the friendliness and open welcome we got. We all sat down to a lovely meal together and there wasn't a single lull in conversation the entire night! Lovely place, lovely hosts. What else can one say. We'll be back again very soon!

  • We have just had a wonderful two day stay with Kathleen and her lovely family. Everything was superb; from the genuine warm welcome, very comfortable room and quiet rural setting. Every effort was made to ensure we had a pleasant stay. They have a super selection of books and information on Ireland and history - I could have happily stayed by the fire and just read for a week... Great place - great people - great experience - we'll be back! Our sincere thanks, Robert & Daniela x

This is a traditional stone-built cottage in the heart of historical North Cork. It is a mile to the local village, and a ten minute drive to Fermoy, which has a lovely selection of restaurants, bars and shops. The guest room is ideal for couples or friends, short breaks and holidays. Great for walkers and cyclists as there are some lovely walks and rides in the local area. The nearby Funcheon and Blackwater rivers are great for fishing, and the stargazing is fantastic on clear nights.
The cottage is close to the village of Glanworth with easy access to the village's 4 pubs. Fermoy is a ten minute drive away, and has a lovely selection of restaurants, bars and shops. Mitchelstown is also a short drive... The cottage is well appointed with a comfortable sitting room with open fire, TV, selection of books (including local reference books), board games and DVD selection. There is comfortable sofa seating for 4. Kitchen is traditional and well equipped. This includes a fridge/ freezer, gas hob, fan oven, microwave, washer/ dryer and dishwasher. The guest bedroom comprises a double bed and bedside locker. The bathroom is has a shower, toilet, hand basin and lots of towels available for guests to use. The back garden, which is wild, provides outdoor space for relaxing, and there is a table and chairs available to dine outside at the front of the cottage.
Though small, the village of Glanworth is home to impressive ruins. Found just 10km northwest of Fermoy, County Cork, the village boasts a 13th-century castle that belonged to the Roche family, which at the time controlled much of the territory of North Cork. Among the remains, visitors will find a large rectangular building and tower. Nearby, there is also the hall-like church of a Dominican friary established by the Roches in 1475. Labbycally Dolmen is a short walk away, and is one of the largest dolmens in Ireland. The majestic Lismore Castle, owned by the uncle of Prince Charles, is a 30 minute drive away, and some beautiful scenery can be seen by driving over the Vee from there. There are many taxis available locally, and are available should guests wish to dine out in Fermoy or Mitchelstown, where there are a beautiful selection of restaurants.

  • Amazing amazing host, Eric is. A very kind and humble gentleman. Very flexible check-in and check-out times. Newly built house with modern facilities and a very short walk to Teagasc Moorepark. Ideal for anyone to get on motorway to Cork or Dublin.

  • Couldn't say enough about this place. Feels like a plush hotel, but also manages to feel homely at the same time. Eric is a gentleman and a fantastic host. The facilities are top notch, with jacuzzi, well stocked fridge, sky tv, and a very comfortable bed. For anybody with any interest in walking in the mountains, some quiet pleasant towns, or mountain biking in the bally houra, you need to stay here!

We live 2km from the sleepy village of Ballyporeen, between the Knockmealdown and the Galtee mountains . Our house is 12 km from Mitchelstown, 20 km from Cahir , 50 km from Cork city. Mitchelstown caves are close, also Cahir castle, Rock of Cashel, Althasel Priory, High crosses of Ahenny, Ormond castle, Main Gaurd; So an ideal base to explore the culture and ancient places... Do come!
Our house is renovated to modern standards. It is an original Tipperary county council cottage built in the 19th century for the workers and their families. One of the double beds is in the 'new part', but we have two more rooms in the 'old part'; We'll have to share the bathroom and kitchen as this is my home. and not a hostel/hotel :)
The neighbourhood is very green, we're surrounded by fields, with cows. The local village has 3 pubs, but it's ok to BYO....
  • Hilary is a really lovely host, we had a great chat with her on our arrival day and enjoyed our stay there. She even cooked something for us when we arrived and gave us great hints. Hilary perfectly represents the famous Irish hospitality. She also has a dog as well as a cat which are really lovely!! We totally recommend a stay at Hilary's!

    Lena2016-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • I was on a journey to take my mum, who is quite ill to a nearby holy site. We stopped at Hilary's for one night. I did not fully inform our host about my mother. Hilary and her son were both so very accommodating to my mother and I even though we were not in the most social of moods. Despite my attempts to slip away quietly the following morning, Hilary wouldn't hear of it and was awake ready to serve breakfast. I was impressed by that measure of warmth and hospitality and a little embarrassed to wake her at such an ungodly hour. I would not hesitate to stay there again. She is a most generous host and I recommend her place to all. Thanks Hilary for taking the time to make us breakfast znd for the story of the poor Ghost of Bay Lough and her thimble. About our lack of comms hope we did not come across too rude. It was not my intention. All the best, Gary

    Gary2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • When we arrived at the house Hilary had prepared tea and cookes for us. She is very communicative and you feel really welcome. Our boys loved her dog and cat. Hilary gave us a lot of tips for our tour trip. In the morning Hilary prepared a super breakfast for us.

    Reinhold2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • My stay with Hilary was a very pleasant experience. She is such a kind and friendly person, and made me feel at home. I would highly recommend staying in her cosy, homely home. I will definite stay there again. Javier

  • Pulling up to Hilary's home you feel like you become part of the movie "The Holiday" with Cameron Diaz. The charming front entry way, the fireplace, the nooks and crannies, all added to our fabulous few days in Tipperary. Hilary was an amazing hostess, we are thrilled to have landed on her doorstop.

    Lynn2017-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Hilary is such a spectacular hostess! Her home is lovely and the scenery is gorgeous. Not only that, but Hilary is a former tour guide full of knowledge on the best sites to see and things to do while on the road in Ireland. Last but not least, Hilary makes a great breakfast to fuel you for your travels and adventures. We had a wonderful stay!

    Holly2017-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for a night on the way down to Kerry. Hilary is an incredibly welcoming host! There was dinner and a beer when we arrived, and she even drove out to meet us at the nearest town. Herself and her son were great to chat to, and they've a lovely (and very friendly) dog at the house!

    Morgan2017-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic view when you arrive at the house. Hillary was a great host, made us feel like we were visiting a long-lost relative. The breakfast was excellent, what a good way to start our day! The beds were not the most comfy, but everything else made up plenty for that. We strongly recommend this place to anyone who loves to be a bit outside the beaten path and enjoys meeting people and is not looking for a 5-star hotel type of experience!! Thank you Hillary for welcoming us in your house!

Our cottage is located in Ballinacourty , outside Kilfinane Co Limerick. It has been recently renovated to make it very cosy and welcoming. It is conveniently located if you wish to visit the Ballyhoura region, including the well known biking track.
The cottage has been fully modernised with all mod cons, and when you are not walking the Ballyhoura region, you can turn on the Bar B Q , which is situated on a patio beside the cottage. The cottage is wired for SKY TV and also has WIFI ( But unfortunately not good enough for streaming). A wood stove in the main living area when lit makes the cottage very cosy and welcoming and this can be supplemented with oil fuelled central heating.
A very rural neighbourhood with very friendly neighbours who will be sure to sell you a few eggs .... A local garage is situated quite close in case the car breaks down or you need tyres to be pumped. Daly's pub which opens late in the evening is situated nearby and can be reached via a 20 minute walk
  • Grand stay, great comms from host, very handy info guide to property left for us, thank you for everything!

  • The pictures don't fully capture the beauty of this house. Finola made us feel very welcome and the house is equipped as a home. Scenic hills right on your doorstep and only 15 minutes drive from the local mountain biking tracks. Perfect location for all the area's attractions e.g. Mitchelstown Caves, Galtee Mór, Donkey Sanctuary and Rock of Cashel. We'll definitely be back!

    Steven2016-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I loved staying at Donal´s place. The house is cozy and welcoming and is equipped with everything that is needed in a house and then some. We never actually met Donal in person, it was never necessary, we communicated through email and SMS and everything he wrote was helpful and encouraging. We found the house on our own using Donal's excellent directions and thought the key-safe system was excellent. The house is deep in the beautiful countryside, great for people who want to get away from it all, less convenient for those who want to see cities and larger towns.

    Kathleen2016-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Donal was very very good at communication and answered of our questions within minutes. Location is rural and beautiful. Area is gorgeous within a charming hilly valley. This is a great place for folks who are looking to get away to a quiet pretty location

  • Awesome! Our family of 4 loved staying at Fisherman's rest, and in my opinion it is the nicest Airbnb we have stayed at. Super comfy beds with great feather pillows and down comforters. Everything was beautiful and clean and comfortable. I recommend it highly! Donal was also great at giving us tips and suggestions for where to visit, eat, etc. Also there is a great park right across the street that our daughters loved. And the shower is great! And the garden! We recommend the walk to the towers (outside of Lismore). This is a short beautiful hike that ends at some really impressive ruins.

    Beth2016-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Donal is very nice and courteous. I booked the apartment for a friend of mine and the communication in advance was perfect - quick feedback and no problem at all when we had to change the bookings. The apartment is very clean and offers evreything you need. My friend Steven was also impressed by the beautiful garden Donal and his wife had set up and where he was able to linger for a while. They were also very helpful and offered to give Steven a ride to the grocery store to get what he needed. Both, Steven and me, would like to thank you for you kindness and for welcoming Steven so cordially in your home! We wish you all the best!

  • Donal & Edna were the perfect hosts. Knowing that we own a wine & cheese shop, Edna picked up a local selection of Irish cheeses and Donal had a bottle of Spanish wine ready. The apartment was full of charm, yet had all the modern necessities like WiFi. Expect to spend time in the garden out back. Locating, & parking was easy, and there was a well equipped grocery store within walking distance. Their place was a great base camp as we did day trips to Kinsale, Dingle and the Ring of Kerry. Fermoy itself has great history, but not touristy.

    Bryon2017-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Experience was great. Donal met us and reviewed everything we needed to know about that apartment and where to find things in Fermoy, As expected, it was nippy while we were there, but we still managed to enjoy the lovely garden.

    Deborah2016-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • While the apartment is lovely, it is the hosts, Donal and Edna who really make this place special! They shared their favorite pub with us and it was the best time we have had in Ireland. Everyone was so friendly and fun to talk with! The apartment is nicely located near pubs and markets. Sight seeing is just a short drive away and parking is right outside the door. The apartment itself is beautiful with all the amenities of home, if home were this nice. The shower is amazing! Donal has a wonderful garden that he is happy to share with you. Overall a perfect stay.

My place is situated in the centre of Fermoy town close to nightlife, public transport, town centre, parks. You’ll love the location, the house and all the comforts you need. Renowned for inland fishing, it is an attractive base to explore the history and amenities of north and east Co. Cork. It is centrally located for visiting counties Tipperary, Waterford, Limerick and Kerry. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), and big groups.
My place has been finished to a high standard and offers very comfortable living throughout your stay.
  • Cheryl was very helpful and easy to get hold of when we needed her. The house was great for a family of four, good location in the town and Fermoy is in a good place for touring around the area. We would stay there again . Thanks Cheryl.

  • The decor is exceptional, the old fruit tree in the garden brings an abundance of birds to the garden in the mornings which is a lovely way to wake. Easy commuting difference to many interesting areas, we loved Gaugane Barra, horse riding and the welcoming people made you feel embraced everywhere we visited

Her place was just a 5 Minute walk to stores and pubs. We especially liked the USB plugs in the updated electrical outlets! Near by we ate at O'Briens and at Munchies (Fiona very helpful and friendly). Wifi was good and our kids enjoyed the cable tv shows when we were there.

It was very good value and worth considering for stays in Fermoy or Cork as there seems to be such a shortage of affordable accommodation in Cork city.

  • Absolutely amazing house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is in a brilliant location, really close to the high street and supermarkets and a brilliant cafe literally over the road. The house is furnished to a really high spec. The kitchen is perfect, like a home from home. Everything was provided as listed and some! The house suited our needs and we will definitely be staying here again! Thank you Cheryl.

  • Eddie could easily be charging more for this place. From the location to the amenities to the huge comfy bed and totally updated kitchen (really everything!) my husband and I had a wonderful stay here. It is centrally located which made it so easy to continue our journey once we got on our way. It is right by the Kent bridge and the river can be seen and heard right outside the apartment. There's also a cozy (and cheap) bar right beside the place where we rubbed elbows with the locals. Only thing that might bother one would be the tighter quarters, but that's only if you're not used to city apartment living. Great stay, amazing value overall. Eddie was an amazing host and made us feel right at home.

Our comfortable, spacious and fully furnished 2 bedroom flat is right in the center of Fermoy, with only a 2 minute walk to the bus stop. You’ll love the flat because of its location. It is so convenient and easy to get to and close to all local amenities. There is a large pay and display car park adjacent to the flat - costing only €1 per day and free on sundays. My place is good for holiday makers, business travelers (we will be getting wifi installed soon!) , and families (with kids).
  • Ed was the ultimate host. He couldn't have done more for us during our stay. If I ever need accommodation in Fermoy again I'l will most certainly return. The apartment is spacious, central and clean. What more could you want.

  • Ed's place was comfortable, clean and quiet. I would definitely recommend it.

  • We've stayed at numerous Airbnb & (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) type rentals & my husband & I both agree that Ed's place rates at the top. He has thought of everything. The night we checked in, he had everything we needed for breakfast the next morning ready & waiting for us. The place was very clean, the beds were comfortable & the showers were hot. Ed was very thoughtful & considerate of our needs. It was a pleasure meeting him. Thank you, Ed.

  • Lovely stay, very central but the flat is still very quiet and comfortable. Everything was as in the photos; clean and organised. Breakfast was provided and all ready in the fridge with some delicious fresh bread and fruit on the table. Communication was easy and everything was well explained. Overall, would highly recommend!

  • Ed's place is perfect for a family of four visiting the Cork area. We commuted around very easily from here. The flat is well equipped with everything you may need. Ed is a great host, very communicative, and goes the extra mile by leaving you fresh bread, milk and more.

  • Margaret was very accommodating. Her house was lovely with great furniture. We were very comfortable. She fixed us an enormous breakfast. Gave a great ideas of where to go in Cork and around the area. We had a bit of trouble finding the house. But once we did it was great. She also recommended a great restaurant for dinner that was close by.

    Heidi2014-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Margaret has been running this B&B for several years, and it shows in her professionalism. She gracefully accommodated my late arrival and early departures. And beyond her professionalism I found Margaret to be a very caring and kind person who was a pleasure to get to know in addition to being a great help in travel planning.

    Scott2012-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Not only was Margaret exceedingly communicative and friendly, she went the extra mile by collecting and dropping me off at the coach stop on my travel days and even drove me to the wedding reception I had travelled to attend. A solid gold hostess in many respects

  • I had a lovely stay at Margaret's BnB. Margaret picked me up from the bus stop and even offered to drive me out to Glanworth and helped me to find relatives of my great grandparents. The BnB is a nice old school house with spacious rooms with an old charm, but with large modern bathrooms too. Easy to walk into Fermoy town from the BnB. Thank you Margaret!!

    Bridget & Kelsen2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • We LOVED staying at Margaret's Bed and Breakfast!!! She had a cute, charming place and it was in a great location for us! The beds were super comfy and the room was HUGE!! We had tons of space-- also the bathroom was spacious as well. We had tons of space to spread out all to ourselves. Margaret usually cooks a large breakfast in the morning, but we had to leave very early in AM-- so instead she set out plenty of food for us to help ourselves and to eat quickly on our way out the door. She is a warm, accommodating host! We really enjoyed chatting with her and she has tons of fun stories. Also, she was quick to make lots of great recommendations on restaurants and pubs with live music. She even drove us to a dinner spot herself because she was worried we might have trouble finding it. I HIGHLY recommend this bed and breakfast! We had a LOVELY stay and everything was absolutely perfect!!!!

    Laura2013-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • A very warm welcome from Margaret and a nice bit of history about the old school house. To have multiple facilities for this price was excellent. Overall I would say that Margaret's B&B offers great value in a very nice location.

  • Anne's place was perfect. Exactly as described. Comfortable, homely, welcoming. Anne went above and beyond in her directions and even though I arrived an hour later than planned she couldn't have been more helpful. I had a perfect nights sleep in the peaceful surroundings and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

    Stef2017-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely home! Very charming property. I was a bit surprised that Anne was German, and not from the Philippines as her profile states, but that made no difference - just found it funny. Anne was very nice, even made us two wonderful diners & shared a glass of delicious wine! Unless you're okay with sleeping in a twin bed or separate rooms with your little one, I wouldn't recommend for families. Nice private bathroom with stand-up shower. Anne is a bit set in her ways, but accommodating to guests. There are lovely horses, dogs, cats and sheep on her farm. Beautiful property with great views! The town of Cahir & Cahir Castle are Wonderful. There are also caves nearby & The Rock of Cashel is also Very close. I would recommend!

  • Anne is a great host! I had a lovely, comfortable, peaceful stay in her home.

    Niki2015-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • Anne was a great host - everything you would wish: kind generous and good conversation. Without being overbearing. The room was exactly as described and shown on the site so it met my expectations. Anne's two dogs are a delight too, definitely part of the charm - but maybe I'm biased as a dog owner myself. Although on the map it looks like its close to a motorway, you'd never know - the road is in a cutting so there's no noise. And, as it says on the listing, its in a beautiful landscape. I would stay again. Thanks.

    Chris2015-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • I had the loveliest time staying here! the country side was beautiful and It was wonderful to wake up to that view in the morning. Although my time was brief Anne was a wonderful host, super friendly and showed me all the interesting farm animals. Her two dogs are incredibly sweet and I loved watching them run around the farm. Definitely will stay here again when I come back to Ireland.

They have a Beautiful home and our room was as advertised, SO COSY! We had a picturesque view from our room of lovely green fields, it was so peaceful there. We would have no hesitation in returning. Thanks Guy's for a wonderful weekend. Darija and Jim.

  • Kelly was wonderful and the house is at a cute part of the Irish countryside. Really cute room too! Thanks Kelly!

  • Our stay at Kelly and Joe's house was absolutely wonderful! They were so hospitable and helped us out a countless number of times. Our room was spacious and the bed very comfy. One of our favorite things to do before we go to bed is watch a movie, and they have a very impressive amount of quality movies. The house is located a short distance from town where everyone (again) was so friendly and everyone knew Joe, so taxi's were an easy way to get around from places back to their home. Kelly and Joe are honestly some of the nicest people we've ever met and we'll definitely be returning to their cosy country house in the future, even if it's just to see their adorable little dog, Pete!!

The luxury toiletries from the White Company were only Devine as were the 100% cotton bedding we were provided with not to mention the solid wood memory foam matter bed ! We were left a lovely room platter of different cheeses, caviar and water biscuits! Upon arrival we were given a glass of chilled Verve Clicquot! Ballyhooly is a small village in North Cork situated along the N72 between castle town Roche and Fermoy. Ballyhooly is home to two pubs, a church, a community centre and a petrol station. You can enjoy loads of water activities in castle town roche just a five minute drive from an Glenn ull. There is endless forestry to take a walk around and views of the ballyhooly castle sitting on the black water. Cork city is a 30 minute drive. A car is required as this house is situated in the country side.

  • Helen is the kind of host who is one in a million, and has a heart of gold. She went out of her way to accommodate us comfortably in her lovely house. Everything was beyond our expectations and anyone who stays won't be disappointed. The decor is all very modern and beds and living room very relaxing. The location is ideal for peace and quiet with beautiful scenery and landmarks nearby to visit, and it's a reasonable 40 minute drive to Cork city centre. We can't praise Helen's hospitality and support during our visit enough, and we will certainly look at booking with her again in the future.

  • We were attending a wedding in nearby Blackwater castle and it was very convenient being less than 10 minutes away by car. The house was spotless but at the same time had everything we needed to make the stay feel homely including a lovely wood burning stove. Helen was very helpful and offered to get us a travel cot if we needed it for our daughter. and was nearby if we needed anything. Helen has a lovely dog but she will take the dog to stay somewhere else during your stay if you wish. We chose to keep the dog there as she was super friendly and sweet. Highly recommended.

  • Helen was a great host. She met us at check in and made sure that there was bread, milk, and cake for us as long as many essentials. She was also very helpful as we rode out Ophelia at her place. The house is a nice place in a small town in Cork county. It is a 30-40 minute drive to Blarney castle and Cork. The house accommodated 6 adults well.
