Minnetonka Vacation Rentals

Just booked in Minnetonka

Our home is in a suburb near Minneapolis. We are near trails, Shady Oak Lake and Lone Lake. This room has a day bed made up with linens, pillows and a comforter. It is good for solo travelers. A second guest can stay in this small room with an air bed for an added charge. We're 15 minutes by car from Minneapolis. It's the best of both worlds: bucolic area and close to the city! We provide breakfast. All guests are welcome here. Minnesota and county sales tax of 7.275% is included in the price.
We are happy to share our home with you, our guests. We have met people from all over the US and all over the world. We serve breakfast and coffee, and we have tea and juice. The views are of trees, birds, deer and wild turkeys. We want you to feel at home when you visit.
This is a beautiful suburban neighborhood filled with trees and near parks, lakes and trails. We are also near Main Street in Hopkins, MN, where there are cool restaurants and shops. The General Store of Minnetonka is west of here on Highway 7. There's a cafe there and fun Minnesota items to buy for yourself or gifts. Nearby malls include Knollwood, east on Highway 7 in St. Louis Park and Ridgedale Mall north on Plymouth Road. We're 20 minutes from the airport and the Mall of America.
  • Very nice people, they treat no less than a family member.

  • I have stayed here several times because I am comfortable with the hosts and the accommodations. Having a place to sleep that is quite, feels safe and is clean makes for a wonderful stay. The hosts are very nice and pleasant.

  • Elizabeth and John were great hosts and their home was perfect for my time in Minnetonka! They provided delicious breakfasts, great advice on trails and use of a bike! Plus they were super fun to chat with.

    Maura2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place, enjoyed my stay as usual

    Ramu2017-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • They were very respectful and organized. I would stay there again in the future.

    Samantha2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Liz and John were superb hosts. They welcomed us into their home with arms wide open, provided an excellent breakfast upon our check out, and even accommodated to our dietary restrictions. They showed us their home as if it were our own, and both the accommodations and conversations were wonderful. The home is in a beautiful spot just out of the city and we were able to get to all of the spots we were planning on. Everything about our experience with them was genuine, and their generosity reminds me of why we will always choose airbnb on our vacations. If ever we come back to Minneapolis there is no doubt we will ask to stay again.

    Lars2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had an incredible time with John and Liz! They were so hospitable, and wonderful to talk to. We slept so soundly, and they fed us an amazing breakfast in the morning! Our stay with them could not have been more perfect.

    Peyton2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was absolutely wonderful. We came in very early morning after traveling and we were welcomed with open hands. The next day, ourselves, the hosts, and other guests of the house sat down and enjoyed coffee over delicious veggie egg scramble, roasted fingerling potatoes, crispy bacon, and homemade French bread. Fresh fruit and orange juice to rinse it all down. The conversation was great. Liz and Jon are wonderful, warm host.

Hopkins is a dynamic community of over 17,000 residents located 13 minutes from the Twin Cities. Hopkins offers the advantages and conveniences of a large city, but the charm and security of a small town. Hopkins is an arts-based community that welcomes over a quarter million visitors in the course of a year! Our home is located just off Mainstreet, the road that leads to the heart of the city. Downtown's vibrant community is home to the Hopkins Center for the Arts and Stages Theatre Company. This venue entertains thousands of kids and families with plays and educational programs. You will find art exhibits, live music, concerts and large events at the art center throughout the year. Other popular downtown locations are the second run movie theater, many antique shops, specialty coffee houses, Amy's Cupcake Shoppe, Kiddywampus Children's Store, LTD Brewing Company, The Big 10 Restaurant, Mainstreet Bar & Grill, Samba a Taste of Brazil, Nacho's Mexican Cafe, Pub 819 and many other great restaurants and shops! Hopkins is fortunate to have 19 city parks and four main bike and walking trails. Two limestone trails go west more than 20 miles, from Hopkins to Chanhassen and Hopkins to Victoria. The two other trails are paved going Northwest and East into Minneapolis. Our home is located two blocks from Central Park where you can find the city fire station, two playgrounds, tennis courts, baseball/softball fields, paved walking path, basketball courts, sand volleyball, soccer fields, inline skating, ice and hockey rinks, the Pavilion indoor soccer and hockey and outdoor grills and picnic shelters. We are a couple miles from Shady Oak Beach (Open June 9-Aug 20), and Overpass Skate Park. The street we live on is a cul-de-sac, so there isn't much traffic. Many of my neighbors work from home which makes this a very safe place to live and visit!
  • Hands down the cutest and most accommodating Airbnb I've been to. Deb, made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to make our stay comforting. The breakfast was beyond amazing and so was our room. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone staying in the area.

    Kia2017-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is my second time staying at Deb's - it's so worth it! Even though my own house isn't far away, it's still great to come out and enjoy the space. Super relaxing, everything you could possibly need, and a great host. Oh yeah - and phenomenal food. Truly 5 star.

    Amy2017-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Debs home was so amazing! Mind you this was the first time with Airbnb and we were nervous. Afterward, I have told all of my friends and family about her and her wonderful home. She welcomed my daughter, my husband, and myself with warm arms. She gave us a tour of the home then let us on our way, which was nice, as we were just looking for some family time. There were more amenities than we knew what to do with! The heated pool was amazing on a 66 degree day. Deb was more than willing to help us with anything we needed and had great suggestions as to where to go to eat. We plan on going back soon! Highly recommended to everyone!

    chelsea2017-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Deb's place was clean and beautifully decorated. Deb went above and beyond making sure I had everything I needed. It meant alot. Great stay and great place. I highly recommend it!

    Nancy2017-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • Deb is an amazing hostess and her home is a cozy and welcome retreat! The breakfast we enjoyed was such an incredible bonus. I very highly recommend staying here!

    Laura2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Staying here is like walking into a storybook and never wanting to leave.

    Kim2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Debs place is great. She really enjoys being a host and is a fabulous cook. The room is adorable and has everything you need plus more!

    Jennifer2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Debs place was the most amazing place. Everything was perfect from the organic breakfast too all the decorations. Not too far from downtown. Very quiet and nice neighborhood too. If you are staying in the twin cities debs place is the best.

Bright and airy, filled with color and original art, cozy and unique. Fully furnished with hotel quality bed linens and memory foam mattresses and pillows. One car garage with automatic opener for snowy winters. 12 miles to downtown. Located on bike trail with bikes available. 10 minute walk to lake with swimming beach. Great spot for family get-away or a quiet retreat for work.
Quiet residential neighborhood. Our house was the original house up on the hill, tucked back from everything and backing up to a ravine. There is a lot of wildlife and we regularly see fox, deer, cayotes, wild turkeys, and of course rabbits. There is a family of cardinals who have lived for years in the yard.
  • The house had a lovely garden patio out back that was perfect to enjoy the nice weather, and Laura made us a delicious banana bread before we arrived. The house had all the amenities you could ask for and provided plenty of sleeping arrangements.

    Brian2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • refrigeratorThe studio is beautiful and in a perfect location. The gardens are beautiful and we happily took advantage of the fire pit. Laura was very gracious and we arrived to homemade zucchini bread and staples in the refridgerator. The studio is close to everything; 20 minutes to Minneapolis, 20 minutes to the MOA or 20 minutes to Lake Minnetonka. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

    Raleigh2017-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful, comfortable place in a quiet neighborhood with every amenity you could possibly desire. I will definitely be back.

    Karl2016-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Laura communicated regularly prior to our arrival date/time. She gave us all of the information we required in order to check in effortlessly. We were very excited to see the vibrant colors and artsy feel in the cottage. It was very clean and neat...and cheerful. Laura's cottage is even better than it looks on the website. To make our check in even more welcoming, Laura had zucchini bread and cookies waiting. In the refrigerator she had accoutrements for breakfast, i.e eggs, cereal, coffee and milk. Laura even had fresh flowers from her amazing garden courtyard as a welcome! What a welcome! She allowed us to get settled and then came to check on us and to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay...she even brought us dog towels since it was raining. The neighborhood seems very safe, it was quaint and quiet. The neighbors were super friendly. A few of them even came out to play with our dogs. The studio cottage had a beautiful courtyard with beautiful flowers that is reminiscent of an English courtyard. The office overlooked one of the two courtyards. We would have loved to spend time on the two courtyards as they were completely set up for outside relaxation but it was pouring rain. It was so nice to have our own personal parking space right outside of the cottage and the cottage was within easy access to downtown and every community we needed to visit. We would rent Laura's cottage again and highly recommend this darling, happy cottage.

    Carla2016-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Laura was a fantastic hostess, and her provisions were much appreciated! Would absolutely visit again!

    Kelly2017-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Laura came down to the Carriage house when we arrived and showed me around and everything I needed to know for our visit. She had some rhubarb bread and peanut butter and jelly cookies for us that were fantastic. She has a great setup and it is very comfortable and quiet. There are two outdoor patios that are very nice---especially the patio off the French doors. It is a very nice garden style patio and extremely relaxing.

    Jim2016-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • The Studio had all the comforts of home. It was cozy and clean. Great place to stay. Close to things to do.

    Mindy2017-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I needed a place to stay with our infant and dog for a few days between selling our house and closing on our new house. Laura's place perfectly suited our needs and eased the stress of being temporarily homeless. Laura takes great care of her guest house. She made us feel very welcomed and we loved that she had breakfast items for us. We had rainy weather during our stay so unfortunately were not able to spend much time on the patio or in the garden, but both were very picturesque and well-maintained. Great location close to highways, grocery stores and restaurants, downtown Hopkins, and the bike trail.

  • We had a great stay at Garbrielle’s Lakeshore Gardens. Terry and Gabrielle communicated well with us throughout and were very welcoming when we arrived. We were delighted to see how nice and comfortable the space had been decorated with lots of good design and artistic touches including a vase of fresh flowers. Although our stay was in winter with lots of ice and fresh snow, the lake created a beautiful view. We can imagine the large patio, lake area garden with fire pit, hot tub and dock would be just the place for a nice warm weather retreat! We liked Minnetonka and nearby quaint Excelsior too; plus it's only a 25 minute drive to anything you could want to see in Minneapolis or St. Paul. We would definitely stay here again if in the area!

    Gary2017-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Gabrielle and Terry's place is wonderful and the location is stunning. There are lots of things to do and their attention to detail makes this a great place to stay. Highly recommended.

  • Wonderful hosts and a beautiful apartment and location. Terry and Gabriele were extremely warm and accommodating, they thought of everything and we could not have been more pleased with our stay! We will definitely be returning!

    Sara2017-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Terry and Gabriele's lake home was absolutely perfect. The decor, the space, and the amenities were all amazing. Terry and Gabriele had everything set up for us for a smooth first night, and were available in the AM to help send us off kayaking. They provided great exploring recommendations for land and water. Our intention renting their place was to have a quiet weekend getaway - it was truly the perfect stay. We initially rented their place for only one night, but loved it so much we decided to rent it a second night since it was available. Terry and Gabriele were gracious and helpful with that as well. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend. We will 100% be back and have recommended their place to many friends and family.

    Kelsey2017-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • Hands down two of the most genuine people you will ever come in contact with. Terry and Gabriele are the epitome of "Minnesota Nice". The house is absolutely gorgeous, the views are something out of a fairytale, and the location is prime. The living quarters were more than stocked for guests. Everything from snacks and tea, to coffee and chocolate. After opening the fridge they had even bought us a variety pack of beer from a good brewery. My fiancé and I can't thank you enough. Amazing people. Cheers, Angel and Dustin

    James2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute place with beautiful Lake Minnetonka views. Enjoyed the local shopping and restaurants.

    Melissa2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Terry and Gabriele were amazing hosts and we could but have asked for a better place to stay. The lake was super relaxing and the family of Loons were so beautiful.

    Jeff2017-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Terry and Gabriele were absolutely fantastic hosts. They were warm & friendly upon our arrival and once they finished giving us the overview tour of the accommodations, they were extremely respectful of our privacy. Also, Gabriele discovered after the first night of our stay that I had accidentally backed over a corner of one of her gardens while backing out, killing a few plants :/ I felt absolutely awful, but she was so understanding and gracious about the situation and I am forever grateful for her kindness in the matter! As far as the space itself, they provide private use of the whole bottom floor & have every amenity under the sun available as well as labels throughout the space to make everything efficient & easily accessible. the view from the bedroom windows/doors literally could not be any more beautiful. also, the bed itself is quite possibly the most comfortable place I've ever laid my head to rest! All in all, it was a 10 out of 10 and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful getaway.

Ellie went the extra mile to make sure it felt like home to our family too. She shared many helpful treats and recommendations in the area that would suit our family's situation.

  • Hosts were very accommodating and nice. We felt that we were in a relative's home.

    laurel2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Ellie went above and beyond as a host. We originally had a reservation with someone else, that was cancelled with a two hour notice. Scrambling to find a place to stay, we decided to book with Ellie. She had someone greeting us at the door, as well as calling me personally from Germany. There was a lovely basket of snacks waiting for us. I have forever fallen in love with her bath towels, they are so soft! Her house and back yard are absolutely beautiful. There wasn't a thing that we'd change about our stay. Ellie's place was relaxing and peaceful, we'd definitely stay again.

    Angela2017-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Ellie and Ellie's place are wonderful! Very relaxing and accommodating environment. My family (which includes two young boys) have been staying here as we transition in our move to the area and it is just perfect. We couldn't of asked for better hosts. Queen-size murphy bed as well as a full-size pull-out couch. Full bathroom with shower. Galley kitchen with stove, oven, and refrigerator. Private laundry and dryer. Full control of temperature.
  • Adlon's place was very cute and clean. It was cozy and had everything I needed for my weekend. The neighborhood was quiet with beautiful homes and trees. I was doing a training in Wayzata for the weekend, so the location was perfect for me. I did hear a bit of noise from the upstairs in the evenings, but it wasn't distracting or keeping me awake. I would definitely recommend Addie and her place! She was an incredibly accommodating host and very easy to communicate with during my stay.

  • Lovely basement studio- perfect for visiting Wayzata and the cities. Close to restaurants and easy access to the Luce line walking trail. Good value and great host.

    Dana 2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Adlon's place was adorable and very cozy. She has done an amazing job of decorating and laying out this space to make guests feel very comfortable. I stayed here alone for over a week and it was the perfect amount of space for me. I would say two people would have plenty of room in this space. There were many convenient touches that made my stay even more enjoyable. Adlon had just installed a large smart TV with access to Netflix. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook meals each day. Adlon also let me park in the driveway right next to the private entrance. Wayzata is a beautiful place for a getaway. Lake Street (downtown Wayzata) is in walking distance, where there is coffee, shops, and restaurants. Lake Wayzata is beautiful to walk by and the houses in the neighborhood are amazing to see. I would suggest this place to anyone who is looking for a getaway, in the Twin Cities for an event, or here on business.

You’ll love my place because of the neighborhood. Just a couple of blocks from downtown Hopkins for shopping and restaurants. We are 10 miles west of Minneapolis. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
This is a basement apartment, so you will hear some footsteps, and I have a small dog. I have really tried to think of everything you might need for your stay. The kitchen is small, but includes a microwave, gas oven, fridge, toaster, coffee maker, and a full supply of pots and pans, and a crock pot. There will be toast and cereal, coffee and tea for you to enjoy. The love seat pulls out into a bed for additional sleeping space. I think the space is a little crowded for three adults, but it is doable. There is prism TV with lots of channels, as well as a blue ray player and movies.
Hopkins has small town charm, but modern entertainment. The restaurant options are unique; we now have Japanese, Tibetan, Mexican, and Brazilian fare, as well as a pub, several traditional restaurants, and a brewery. There is a new comedy club in Hopkins, a cheap movie theatre, and the Hopkins Center for the Arts. Hopkins is also a hub for area bike trails. There is easy access to Minneapolis lakes via bike trails, and we are 15 minutes away by car.
  • Very cozy. Great internet speed (important for me bc I work online). Everything and more was available. Beth communicated with me throughout the stay as needed. I would definetly recommend her place.

  • Awesome stay! Warm, cozy, and Beth was so awesome at staying in contact!

    Kara2017-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is truly an increible deal for the price! You have your own private apartment with a kitchen, sauna, laundry machine and detergent, not to mention she offers free soap, tooth paste kits, and snacks! And the heat works extremely well. The whole room warms up in less then 2 min. Overall, we had a wonderful stay here and where grateful to have had the change to stay at this location! Thank you!

  • Very good value and everything you need to make this your home away from home.

    Caroline2017-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Beth's place! It's cozy, and so much room for two people! Everything is so clean and Beth leaves some cereal and juice and some bagels to eat in the morning! Everything was super comfortable and quiet. We wish we had more time to enjoy it, since we came really late.

    Dana2017-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • We really loved our stay!!! The place was very clean and private and allowed easy access to all the twin cities had to offer. The well stocked kitchen with breakfast food made for a great start each morning. We would definitely recommend Beth's place for anyone staying in the area.

Our home is in a suburban area near Minneapolis. We are near trails, Shady Oak Lake and Lone Lake Park. This room is good for couples, solo adventurers and business travelers. We might be able to accommodate a third guest for an added charge. Ask about it before you book. We're 15 minutes by car from Uptown Minneapolis. It's the best of both worlds: bucolic surroundings and so close to the city! All guests are welcome here. The Minnesota and county sales tax of 7.275% is included in the price.
  • Our one night stay with Liz was so easy. As a host, Liz was very welcoming and our communications were perfect. The place was clean and comfortable, in a quiet neighborhood. The shared bath was no problem, as it had doors to both the hall and to our bedroom. We would happily stay here again

    Richard2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place to stay! Nice, quiet neighborhood yet convenient location. Hosts are very polite, respectful and accommodating from moment you arrive until you leave. Definitely 5 star; highly recommend.

  • Elizabeth and John made me feel like family. They are amazing and provided a safe and clean place to stay but more than that they made us all feel so very welcome. I can not say enough good things about them.

    Eshu2016-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Liz and John were exceptional hosts! Their home is very clean and comfortable and the room that we stayed in reflected this. They're very friendly and have great stories so definitely get to know them! They're the first people I've stayed with using Airbnb and I definitely have to say I feel spoiled, I'm not sure that other hosts will be able to love up to the tremendously great standard they've set! I will definitely will be returning given the opportunity to when I'm back in the area! Breakfast was great too so be sure not to miss out!

  • Very nice as always!

    Sammie2016-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with John and Liz was wonderful. They were super nice and took the time to get to know us. Their neighborhood was great, lots of trees and walking distance to a lake with walking trail near it. They made us a wonderful home-cooked breakfast. My friend Marissa called staying with them one of the highlights of our trip. I'd recommend staying with them to anyone.

    Jake2016-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Nice it was very nice

    celeste2016-10-21T00:00:00Z

  • Kelly's place was wonderful. We were there visiting family and it was perfect. Kelly made sure we had everything we needed. It was hot and we were nice and cool in the house. The pool was such a great addition to our stay. It was very quiet, get close to everything we needed. Our family was able to come by and go for a swim and relax and her beautiful backyard. We will definitely return and we have the opportunity!

    stephanie2017-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly is a wonderful host. She helped us get our luggage inside, was very accommodating during our stay, and provided us with a ton of information for local activities. This home was in a great location and very cozy. It worked out great for our family of 6. Thanks for the great trip!

    Justin2016-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Kelly's airbnb. She was so friendly and acommodating. It was the perfect place if it's just adults or if you have kids. The pack n play and kids toys and movies made it so easy for us to entertain the kids when we weren't out and about. It was also a perfect location to get to our family in Elden Prarie, get to the Mall of America, and the airport. Thanks Kelly!

    Chelsea2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first Airbnb experience and we couldn't have been more pleased! The house was clean, quiet, and spacious. Communication with Kelly was easy and checking in/checking out simple and effortless. I would highly recommend these accommodations to anyone staying in the Minneapolis area! It is awesome!

    Angela2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly was a fantastic host and her place was perfect for me and my family! I would highly recommend Kelly's place for anyone coming to the Twin Cities!

    Marc2017-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Hosts were very responsive. This place was exactly as advertised, very easy to live in. Will definitely do it again.

    Robert2016-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy accommodations with a lovely fire place we used often. Kelly did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. She was a great hostess!

    Brooke2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • The best part of staying at Kelly's was her gracious hospitality; she was a joy to work with from beginning to end. Her description did not specify that she has a futon in the living room for guests; when my family stayed at her place for a wedding weekend, we had 5 related adults bunking in three separate spaces, and while not plush, it was just what we needed. The kitchenette was perfect for light meals, as well as for girls working on wedding bouquets! ;-) Kelly could not have been a better hostess, and she went above and beyond to meet some of our unique needs that a hotel would not have been able to.

  • Molly's Place Wayzata, MN(URL HIDDEN) Molly was very pleasant . The bedroom offered a comfortable and pleasant place to sleep . However(URL HIDDEN) her photo and description of the accommodation strongly implied she and her young daughter makeup the family , living or staying in her home ,which it turned out not to b(URL HIDDEN) As a single female traveler staying in an intimate setting I was looking for a place I could feel safe . The first morning we came into the hall, by the bath at the same time, she called a man that was with her by name and said, " He'll be showering at the gym today". It was very awkwar(URL HIDDEN) Also the price changed when I looked up a listing for Wayzata , the next day to $45 a night, which would be more appropriate for that setup . She charged me a total of $383 for 4 nights with a "shared bath and one small bedroom ". Also the shared bath is not appropriate as a place when you are charging for accommodations. The bathroom was "occupied" on two mornings when I got up and I had to leave to go to find a facility. This BNB is not worth $80 a night on any day of the week. She did ask on two occasions if I needed anything , I did not mention the way I felt to her because I truly was not comfortable to be there at all ! As I said I was traveling by myself. Molly is nice but she and "abnb" need to reevaluate her place . One other thing while the bed was comfortable there was a bottom sheet and a quilt on top, but no top sheet ? I have stayed with family , friends , many hotels, motels, and bnbs and never slept in a bed with no top sheet . Was I sleeping under the quilt that the previous person who in the bed slept under or next to??? From ES Thomas

We really want you to be comfortable while staying at "b.r.guest suite". When you need to rest, "sleep in" as you please. When you leave the suite & cleaning is possible, give me a call, it's the prefect time to check the mech.room & (URL HIDDEN) this is our home, we request that you alert us when there's any problem. • This place was amazing! It is perfect for one or a couple. It is basically a mother in law suite. Very nicely decorated and kept. I was extremely impressed and pleased with the whole weekend stay. Lynda was very nice and was there in a second if we needed her. She stocked the fridge for us with all kinds of stuff. It was so nice to not have to go grocery shopping when we got there. One less thing to worry about. Anything you forgot she had available. I highly recommend this place. I will be staying here again for sure!!!! :)

  • Lyn was a wonderful host! Not only was her spacious home spotless and secluded, but she had thought of everything! Lyn even offered us a delicious hime-cooked meal when we arrived from the airport. We slept like babies. I would recommend this spot to anyone and will definitely be coming back!!

  • Lyn is a wonderful host very gracious and accommodating. A great home away from home. She gave us a detail walk through of the space so we could take advantage of all the features of the unit. She also gave us a number of pointers about our stay in Plymouth. The neighborhood is very quite and is a good area for walkers.

    Larry2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Lynda was very flexible with our arriving and leaving as I was in town for a marathon this weekend. She has everything imaginable stocked and ready to go for your convenience and she really knows how to make someone feel at home. She was very considerate in giving us our personal space, yet made us feel welcome as well. I highly recommend her as an Airbnb hostess and look forward to stays with her in the future. If you're looking for a quiet neighborhood with an easy commute into town, then this is definitely the place for you. To top everything off, Lynda provided us with a home-cooked lasagna dish that was thoroughly enjoyed. If you want comfort, this is the place to go.

  • Very functional accommodations and exceptional communications and care!! Excellent/private access to come/go as needed for my week of business travel in Plymouth.

    Kim2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Although I stayed at Lyn' s place for one night during my short business trip to the Twin Cities, Lyn made me feel as if I was her #1 host. The place is equipped with all the necessities of a small apartment. Lyn provided various snacks, drinks, quick breakfast meals and even went as far as shared her delicious home cooked meal for my own enjoyment after a long day. The place and Lyn's superb hostess skills exceeded my expectations. As an AirBnb host myself, I have a long way to go to provide the same quality service as Lyn.

  • Trina and her husband were perfect hosts! I was able to study for interviews and go to bed early, and they worked around whatever I needed. I also brought my ruffian dog with, and needed to keep her at the home while I was not there, which was much appreciated! The home, and specifically the personal bathroom and bedroom, were immaculately clean and lovely. I would definitely recommend staying here!

I have 1 bedroom available inside my 4 bedroom 3 bathroom house. Quick highway access and only 10/15 min from downtown. Bedroom is on the 1st level and comes with a queen size bed and a bunk bed. We live in our house and our place is great for someone who is passing through for a short period of time either on business or in need of a short term stay. Good for small families, people vacationing who like the luxury of a house, or just stopping by for an event/function in Minneapolis.
Affordable place for a quick stay. While I can accommodate up to 4 people at a time in our spare bedroom, the price listed is for 1 person. I don't have a separate listing for beds, the room is 100% yours, meaning you won't be sharing your room or any other part of the house with other Airbnb guests. Number of days allowed on instant booking is 14, however we are open to hosting longer then 14 days, just send an inquiry and state purpose of your visit.
Our house is within the Twin Cities "loop" and sits on the top of a hill that overlooks the city. It is the 2nd highest residential home in Hennepin county. We can see downtown mpls and several cities when in the backyard. Because the back of the house faces the east and west we catch both breathtaking sunrises and sunsets all on the comfort of our property. Our home sits on a 1/2 acre with only 1 neighbor to the west and an additional acre of state property to the east of us that just has trees. Minnetonka is a mature suburb with large property lots. Most homes in this area are very nice homes where owners care about their properties. Very safe neighborhood. Close enough to the cities to explore any area of Minneapolis. There is some traffic noise that you can hear if you are outside in the backyard. 8 months out of the year it's covered with trees and you can't see the road. Mature neighborhood in the suburbs. Big trees, wide streets, unique larger homes on typically 1/2-1 acre property per home. Busline 5 blocks. Lake minnetonka is a few miles away as is downtown Excelsior. Downtown Hopkins is about 2 miles away. Lone lake swimming beach a couple miles away. Regional trails within walking distance. Close suburbs to Minnetonka - Hopkins, St. Louis Park, Plymouth, Eden Prairie, Edina, Chaska, Chanhassen, Golden Valley, and Bloomington. Ridgedale, Southdale and Eden Prairie malls are all close to us. Museums of Minneapolis all within a 20 minute drive. Uptown is 5-10 minutes away. 15 min to downtown Minneapolis. Downtown includes all the night life, Target Center, Target Field, First avenue. 20-25 min to downtown St. Paul. Excel energy center. Capital. Walking trails. Parks. About 5-10 minutes to most United Healthcare, Optum, Carlson tower locations (don't even have to get on the freeway and can take side roads) Within 10 min to Bloomington and large corporations such as Best Buy, and United. 15-20 min to the airport. 15-20 min to Mall of America.
  • Kate was very understanding of the fact that my In- laws would be the ones staying at her house and made them feel like they were at home. I heard nothing but great things about Kate and her families hospitality.

Known as the "cowboy room" this is the traveler's favorite. Comfortable, light-filled room with two beds, one full size and one single, reading chairs, work desk, private refrigerator, en suite bath, separate dressing area with full closets. Windows on three sides let in cooling breezes and multiple air vents let you adjust the amount of warm or cool air coming into your rooms. The dressing area separates the quiet sleeping room from the bath and rest of the house.
This bedroom suite is the former master bedroom. The suite is decorated in a "cowboy" theme with hand painting on the walls. Don't let the whimsy fool you. It is a seriously comfortable room appointed with fine linens, new beds, handmade rugs and reading spots where you can put your feet up. The main bed is a magnificent, hand made log bed which is a comfortable full size bed and sturdy. It easily sleeps two unless you are used to a king. It was purchased from a Wisconsin camp rumored to have been a favorite hideaway for mafia types living in Chicago. The second bed, a single (twin) antique spool bed with new mattress and box spring, can used as a day bed. It is a real single bed with sheets and pillows so it accommodates a third traveler easily in the space. We've completed the look with handmade rugs and voyageur wool blankets made in Grand Marais. Roomy yet cozy, there is plenty of space to spread out with your things. There are windows on three sides of the bedroom, so cross breezes cool your nights with fresh air. Guests enjoy their own refrigerator and a full closeted dressing area which separates the bedroom from the hall and the rest of the house. The en suite bath has a full tub and shower, ceramic tile and several hand painted cabinet drawers for toiletries. This room is a favorite for guests because it is extremely private and has the feel of a separate apartment. Laundry facilities on the same floor are available on request.
Minneapolis is wonderful for theater, shopping, and sports any time of year. Walking trails and bike paths are adjacent to house. Gardens are blooming, sport facilities, shopping, and fine dining minutes away by car or a 15 minute walk on foot. My home has quick access to downtown, yet is tucked into quiet, safe, residential neighborhood. The neighborhood is perfect for a fast commute to downtown Minneapolis. If your stay is more laid back, feel free to explore on foot or read a book on the screen porch. Guests have loved to explore the well-maintained walking trails at the end of the cul-de-sac which wend their way through marsh and woods. The wetlands are alive with the sounds and smells of spring in Minnesota after a long winter. Red-winged blackbirds are the most frequently observed bird on my walks with Spirit and Snula. Downtown Wayzata, known for its quaint shops and fun restaurants, is a beautiful little community only five minutes away. It perches on the north shore of Lake Minnetonka and is famous for fishing, sailing, boating and swimming.
  • Wendy was a great host and stayed in touch with me leading up to the trip. She greeted us with open arms and welcomed my partner and I into her beautiful home! We stayed in the en suite home and it was perfect to have our own space and privacy. We drove from Chicago and got there early afternoon. Just enough time for us to check in, learn all the rules and get dressed for a wedding. It was a safe, comfortable and loving place for us to come back to after a long day and an even longer evening. We weren't able to say goodbye to Wendy the next morning as we slept in... But again, she stayed in touch via text and wished us a happy journey home! We look forward to coming back to the twin cities area and staying with Wendy again! Thanks for everything :)

  • We stayed with Wendy for an entire month and our stay greatly exceeded our expectations. The room is exactly like in the picture - absolutely charming, cozy, & clean. Wendy is an exceptional host. Very friendly and always looking for ways to make the experience the best it can be. This haven is in the perfect location! It has a lot of trees and it is so tranquil, her yard is beautiful, and you can hop on 394 and get into the heart of things in no time. She's really into creating the true bed & breakfast experience. She's friendly but definitely gives you your space as well. Now I understand why she gets so many repeat guests. We couldn't be more pleased with our stay!

  • Warm greeting when we arrived. Recommended nice restaurant close by for dinner as we arrived later in the day.

    William2015-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy made us feel so welcome and comfortable in her home. Everything was presented and displayed beautifully for our arrival. The room and bathroom were immaculate and every attention to detail was taken including providing travel accessories. The neighborhood was beautiful, very quiet and peaceful. Wendy was attentive to our every need and made sure that we were accommodated in our stay. She was quick to make recommendations and give directions. We would definitely return and would highly recommend this room.

  • We stayed in the "Cowboy Room" suite for 5 nights while I attended a yoga teacher training. Before arriving, Wendy was extremely communicative and full of information for our visit to Minnetonka. The house was in a lovely residential neighborhood. Everything was super clean, and I really appreciated how well-stocked the bathroom was with toiletries. Wendy was a fabulous hostess, and it's obvious how much she cares about her guests. Although I wasn't around much due to my busy schedule, I enjoyed the times we got chat over a glass of wine. Beautiful kitchen, beautiful house, beautiful yard, and I wanted to dognap her awesome two golden retrievers. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, and I recommend Wendy's house to everyone.

    Tiffany2015-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy was a top notch host. She communicated everything well and was there to greet me. She really made her guests feel welcome. Her home might be the most lovely home I have ever seen. It is spacious, but not overdone. Being from the 30s, it is so quality, with beautiful wood trim throughout. The furnishings are incredibly beautiful. The three bnb rooms are each unique and so creatively done. The cowboy suite had its own really cute bathroom and hallway as well as bedroom. The whole experience was outstanding, and Wendy has an airbnb to be proud of.

Before you secure a rental, please research the different suburbs to look at crime statistics, etc. Minnetonka is a very low-crime neighborhood, just 17 miles from the US Bank Stadium and very close to Lake Minnetonka and shopping. 1742 square feet with a two-car garage. Furnace and water heater are newer. Not your typical rental! Lots of homeowner upgrades and charm here. I have owned this home since 2011. It is not a party place. There are neighbors on both sides so please be respectful.
Only 7 miles from Prince's Paisley Park. A must-see if you are coming to Minneapolis!

Great walkout apartment with private entrance located in a single family home, situated only a short distance from Round Lake Park, the Chanhassen Dinner Theater, and the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum! The space includes a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and an outdoor patio perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the area. The stairwell access and back patio to the apartment is newly renovated so please be sure to enjoy the outdoor space while staying in the Garden Retreat!
Both the inside and outside spaces are newly renovated in the last year (2016/17). There is a designated parking spot near the top of the stairs that allow for easy access down to the patio area.
The apartment is located in a quiet suburban neighborhood. Round Lake Park (kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards are available to rent on summer weekends) and the Eden Prairie Community Center (fitness equipment and classes, ice rink, lap pool, water slide, racquetball and basketball courts) are accessible on foot via walking paths that wind through the area. The Chanhassen Dinner Theater is about a 10 minute drive from the apartment if live theater is of interest to you! Local restaurants (Eden Prairie): Tavern 4 & 5, Aurelia's, Subway, Pizza Hut, Burger King, Dairy Queen Local restaurants (Chanhassen): Houlihan's, Applebee's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Chipotle, Leeann Chin Local restaurants (Eden Prairie): The Gold Nugget, Caribou Coffee Grocery Stores: Kowalski's Cub Foods
  • Hosts are attentive and kind. The space is large and comfortable. But for me, the kicker was the seclusion. The patio opens up to a the trail surrounding Round Lake. It was great to start and end my day with a walk around the lake. So relaxing before/after a day running around the city!

  • This location is suburban but near enough to services and eating and a short distance from the urban core of MPLS. The hosts are outstanding! They there when you need them and yet respect privacy. They even anticipate needs you don't know you have yet.

  • The whole process was smooth and easy. We didn't really need anything during our stay but Lindsey reached out a couple times just to check in, which was nice. The place is about 1/2 hour from the downtown area as well as easy access to highways to get out of town to explore other outdoor activities. This is a great place to stay.

  • Great host! Excellent communication and the apartment was great

    Zach2016-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first stay with airbnb, and it was a fantastic experience. We needed a place to stay with our son who was training at several hockey rinks in the area, and it was the perfect location and apartment. Our hosts were extremely thoughtful making sure that we had everything we could possibly need for a comfortable extended stay and also very respectful of our privacy. The apartment is spotless and much larger than it appears in the photos and is furnished with everything one could possibly need. The location is minutes from nice shops and restaurants, and there is a folder in the apartment with information on the surrounding area. The private entrance opens to a beautiful patio and yard which is extended by a huge green space and walking trails around Round Lake. On the other side of the lake which is a short walk there is a beach and an extremely fun park with picnic areas, tennis courts, really nice playground equipment, and a splash pad for young children. They offer rentals for canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards as well. I am so thrilled that we were able to stay in such a beautiful and comfortable place. I will definitely want to book again in the future.

We recently purchased this 950 square foot home; minutes from downtown Hopkins and 20 min from downtown Minneapolis. Our home is a one bedroom, one bath, with tons of windows, brand new kitchen appliances & original hardwood floors. The upstairs attic has been converted for guests. There is an enclosed 3 seasons porch in front. Bus stop is two blocks away, highway access w/in 2 min & three different bike trails are each less than 5min away.
Our home was built in the 1930s and lucky for us {and you!}, so much of its 'small home charm' has stayed intact. Many homes in the area continue to grow larger and larger, but the magic of this home is that it has stayed small. There is a connected front porch, great for spring, summer and fall {its not insulated yet, so its a bit too cold for our Minnesota winters}, a large living room + dining room space. Brand new appliances in the kitchen and the upstairs attic space is where guests stay. We are located in Hopkins, which is a tiny suburb right next to Minneapolis. Downtown Hopkins is about a 25 min walk, and you will find a vintage record shop, a cool brewery, cupcake shop, comedy club, a quaint public library, many antique shops, a $2 movie theatre and the best Tibetan food in the area {seriously, their veggie pakoras are my FAVE}! Sustainability is very important to us and it will be evident throughout our space. We have many plants inside, we vermicompost {which means we have 1,000 worms in a bin downstairs that eat all of our food scraps, and we harvest their casings for our garden}, and we use wool dryer balls to help dry our clothes. Outside we have a few gardens ; in ground, two raised beds and a dozen containers, along with two hives of honeybees. We have a cherry tree out front, bird feeders, and two large rain barrels to collect rain water. We have a solar light on our Little Free Library outside and all of our lightbulbs inside are CFL & LED.
Downtown Hopkins is super cute ; there are shops, a movie theatre, a local brewery and more, all within a short walk {25 min on trail, 10 min by bike, 5 min by car} There are quite a few small neighborhoods in Minneapolis that are a short distance away, as well. Great brunch spots, thrifting, farmers markets, and more.
  • This was only my second experience with Airbnb and just like the first time, it was great. Everything was delivered as advertised...small but cozy, clean, comfortable and hosts were warm, welcoming and always asked if everything was OK and how they could make anything better. Excellent value and friendly environment. Convenient location.

  • It was great to get a chance to stay one night in Diana's house, the coupe there was very friendly and so was their dog...always try to kiss me! I have never seen a dog could jump over my head, very interesting experience. The house was small but warm, and just nearby the highway, it made me surprised that Minnesoda was not that cold.

    Gavin2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the little loft! We just spent one night and were off again after breakfast. We enjoyed Daphne.

    Petra2016-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Where strangers become new friends! Diana, Blake and Daphne were truly amazing at hosting me at their cute home. I just moved to Minneapolis from Southern California. I needed an emergency place to stay before my apt was ready. Thank you for making my transition to the cold Mid-West a little easier and warm. I'll be forever grateful!! - your new friend, Dennis

    Dennis2016-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • Diana, Blake and Daphne are very friendly and welcoming. It was nice after a long day at a workshop to come home to a place that feels almost like home.

    K-Lynn2016-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my time at Diana and Blake's house! It really is true to its description, and I liked the location. It was easy to find, and both Diana and Blake were very kind and welcoming! And I'm a huge dog person, so I loved getting to hang out with Daphne, who is just a sweetheart, by the way! It was a great place for me to stay while I started my new job and waited to be able to move into my apartment.

    Megan2016-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • I had a very enjoyable stay. Diana and her husband are very nice and accommodating. I will definitely refer other friends and family to stay here and plan to return next year. Thank you!

    Jeffrey2016-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment we walked in (which was at 1:30am) we felt comfortable and welcome. Of course, Daphne was a sweetheart and having her around was so much fun. But Diana and her husband were the highlight of the weekend. They were so helpful with directions, telling us the must sees of the city (first timers), and accommodating. You would think their bathroom being in their bedroom would be a hassle but it really was no issue. We were able to get in and out of there no problem at any time of day or night. We had a blast and know exactly where we are going to stay if we ever end up back in Minneapolis.

  • DiAnna's place was great! Super clean, an extra comfy foam mattress pad for the pull out couch, a giant flat screen tv, plenty of room for the two of us and perfectly located for our needs. On top of that, DiAnna was extremely responsive on every level - answering questions, offering suggestions and she was over the top accommodating. Thanks for everything!

  • DiAnna's condo was amazing! It was so nice and felt like home. The pool and hot tub was a great addition, it was really clean and relaxing. DiAnna is a fantastic host, she provides guest with everything they would need for a comfortable stay. Communicating with her was no problem, she responded immediately all the time. I would recommend staying here if you find yourself in town and I would definitely come back.

  • DiAnna's place is the perfect stay for a quiet girls weekend or business trip. It's a short drive to the mall and minutes from downtown! The pool was warm and fantastic. What an excellent experience!
