The place was everything we could have wanted and more. Our lovely host had everything we could possibly need and was kind enough to offer us advice on how to get around the city and what restaurants were nearby . The house was spottless and if we ever find ourselves in Minneapolis again we will be sure to stay again.

Thanks for being a great host Janet! We enjoyed are time at your place and appreciated the added amenities like the breakfast treats in the kitchen! There was a great ramen place, Ramen Kazama, about 3 mins away walking and a cool bar another min away, Pat's Tap. Great place for the price and location.

Janet's place is a real AirBnB gem. My husband and I ended up being the only guests, so of course we had utter privacy (a whole brownstone to ourselves!) and total quiet on a Saturday night. At an amazing price. To echo the many positive comments that are already here: the locale is fantastic, the accommodations are spacious, clean and comfortable, and the communication with Janet was great. We just got a very open and friendly vibe, all-around, and hope to return some day.

i didn't get to meet janet but her instructions were clear, i was able to check in myself with a very late flight with the combination code, and everything is as described and very clean and quiet. Thank you!

Clean place and comfortable!

Janet's place is a warm and comfortable stay, walking distance to a few great restaurants and bars. She gave me and excellent coffee shop recommendation- Spyhouse, she even let me store my luggage after checkout while I waited for my afternoon flight!

Staying with Carol for a month is a wonderful experience. The house is fully equipped, lovely and clean. It's very convenient to travel around with nice ride and public bus. Carol is a great who is willing to help and very kind. She helped us to get things around. I and my friend never lacked anything while being with her. Highly recommended!!

I had a very pleasant stay at Carol's place. Carol was welcoming and the room was clean and quiet. For getting downtown, the bus was an option but Uber/Lyft were quick and convenient.

Carol was very responsive to my questions and flexible with my travel plans. She welcomed us with homemade chicken noodle soup and warm conversations. I felt like a family member, free to use the kitchen/food to whip up a meal if we wanted. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, very peaceful.

The property located near bus stops that make it easy to travel to and from . Carol is very pleasant host and we were very surprised by offered lunch on the day of arrival. It saved us a great time and helped to establish a good relations toward our stay.

Carol is friendly and hospitable, creating an atmosphere of casual comfort. She knows the area very well and made good suggestions on how to get around town. She had homemade soup, salad, tea, and breakfast items. I can't say enough good things about Carol!

A friend and I stayed with Carol for one night and it was just what we were looking for. The beds were comfy and it was helpful that we could make our own breakfast with things in the kitchen before heading to the airport. I would stay with Carol again on future trips to the twin cities.

I stayed at Amanda's place for 2 nights and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Communication was clear and frequent and the space was clean and tidy. Highly recommend!

Very clean and nicely appointed second floor bedroom, ensuit bathroom, and living room in a nice neighborhood. Host supplies shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Also had some fruit, granola bars and water waiting for us. We were in Minneapolis to visit my son, and we would stay here again the next time we visit him again.

Super great hosts. Left us yummy all natural snacks and they had amazing coffee. They had great suggestions on restaurants and night life!

Bobbin House is fanatic! It is really fun to stay in an artist's space -- I spent several days and daily found new details that made the space special. Steve was a lovely host and made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed.

My mom and I stayed for a weekend to visit my daughter at the university. Steve and Tom had a wonderful location, very convenient to everything. Spotless unit and very comfortable. Plenty of parking but the train is literally half a block away. Nice neighborhood. Great suggestions on local arts activities. Interesting tour of their studio downstairs and my mom just loves talking to them about arts in the area. Very quiet. Just perfect for our stay and hope to go back this summer.

Fun

You will feel comfortable and cared for at Steve and Tom's place. In my case, it is much more beautiful and comfortable than my own home! Every detail has been thought out, from the beautiful decor to precise heating control in every room. If you are interested in fiber arts you will be especially happy to see the studio and all of their creations decorating the house. Steve and Tom are also a wealth of information concerning the Twin Cities area. I hope to visit again soon.

Steve and Tom's place was adorable and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Minneapolis. It's close to public transportation and within a walking distance to a coffee shop and an excellent brewery. The place is very clean. Steve and Tom are great hosts, they're friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about their city.

This was our second time staying at Bobbin House, though we would have stayed here even more often, had it not already been booked! We appreciate the cleanliness, the creative decor, the comfortable beds and reading chairs, the complimentary coffee, tea & cream, the free parking, and the proximity to the train -so convenient to downtown. Steve is so helpful and friendly. We'll be back!

My husband could not be more pleased. Steve was so welcoming and the home was very comfortable, quiet and beautifully decorated. Staying at the Bobbin House was great. Steve and Tom were so hospitable. And the suite we stayed in was homey and comfortable, with a bedroom and a cozy living room area. The location is great, as well; it's located close to the light rail metro, and easy to get to downtown St. Paul or Minneapolis. Their food suggestions were also great. We loved being within walking distance of the brewery, Surly, and a couple of breakfast and coffee places. This is certainly a great place to stay in a lovely neighborhood with wonderful hosts!

This was an excellent place for me to rest while traveling for a conference. It was as close as I could get to the train, within downtown Minneapolis, and within range for a walk or two when I had the time. The home was beautiful and S was a great host.

Didn't see much of the hosts after check in, as the room is fairly separate from the house. I really liked the room, the view, the proximity to the light rail, the proximity to neat running trails on the river and the neat building. Would stay here again.

The place was great and very well located, I really enjoyed my stay and the privacy of my room to rest and work. Shannon was great and greeted me at the light train station which is right outside the apartment building.

I think one of the beautiful panorama from her flat to outside. You can go everywhere by walk by metro you need just second. great place to stay.

The house located at a quiet street.

Kira's home is so welcoming and convenient. So much bang for your buck; I would highly recommend staying here. Kira is great at keeping in touch.

Once I walked in, it was clear Kira made a true effort to make me feel welcome. It is an ideal place to get away after a busy day. The only cons I can say is that if you're very tall, just know the ceilings are low. Otherwise I had a great and restful time there.

Kira's place was just as I thought. We had the entire bottom floor of the house, but there was still natural light through recess windows, so it didn't feel cave-like. There is a comfortable bedroom, a nice TV and living area, and kitchen necessities, like a fridge and microwave. Kira left us some snacks for breakfast, which was super helpful. Bathroom was well-equipped. Street parking was ample. Powderhorn is a great area, and we were close to some of our favorite places, like Tiny Diner, Hola Arepa, and Modern Times. It's a good spot, but quiet and away from traffic. I like that we had our own entrance, so we could come and go as we pleased without bothering anyone. It made for a very convenient stay. I would definitely return to this spot!

Kira's place was spacious, centrally-located and had all of the amenities you could hope for! It was easy to find and easy to stay. Make note that the space is in the basement, so there is quite a bit of noise from people walking. Would stay again!

I didn't meet Katie, but she left instructions for me to get in the house and communication was good. The location of the house was perfect and not far from the airport. The home had everything needed for a restful night. This was a nice place on the budget.

Loved Katie's place (the Purple Room) and I would book again for the following reasons -- it's just as described -- very clean and her home is conveniently located to Lake St/Midtown light rail train station (6 blocks walk to and from Katie's place). Next time, I will pack light (because walking with heavy or large luggage "felt like" 12 blocks LOL!) I had books in my suitcase, which is the only reason why it ended up being heavy. If you want to visit Minnehaha Falls --it's a 2.5 mile walk to the falls from Katie's place. Or you can hop on the train at Lake St/Midtown station to 50th St/Minnehaha station. (The Blue Line Train is inexpensive and easy to travel on.) Minnehaha Falls is a must see (if you love nature and the outdoors) and you might want to also enjoy an optional hike at the falls that takes you to the Mississippi River. The food is great at Sea Salt restaurant located at the falls. Best fish I ever tasted! Oh so beautiful was that hike (during month of May.) Walking through Katie's neighborhood is very pleasant in Springtime. On my last day-- I visited downtown Minneapolis (a 10 minute train ride from Lake Street/Midtown station to the first stop, U.S. Bank Stadium station)... and I purchased an all day train pass for only $4 (you press letter "G" at the ticket booth and then pay the option for the $4 all day pass) -- giving you the ability to hop on and off the train to visit various areas of downtown. Katie and Katie's significant other helped me figure out directions to go sightseeing --as I specifically wanted to know where "1st Avenue" was and which train station to exit so I could pay my respects to the late Prince (by seeing his gold star) that is painted on the "1st Avenue" music hall/venue. You can also get to the airport from Lake St/Midtown station to airport Terminal 1 (Lindberg) or airport Terminal 2 (Humphrey) approximately 15 minutes away (depending which terminal you need to be at.) I highly recommend Katie's place. It's close to everything you'll need or want-- including restaurants, shops, and even a Wal-greens next door. Plus since it's close to the airport and downtown Minneapolis -- Katie's place is the perfect choice!

The hostel was as advertised. Steve is a great communicator and has a good system down. The location was perfect for seeing the city.

Clean as it gets. Great entertainment system with netflix and Amazon prime. Aldi and the metro line is in walking distance. Well equipped kitchen and also free food (!) Maybe just be a little more open to smalltalk and showing your house. Outstanding air bnb

I only stayed for one night but the house was awesome. You get what you expect and I'd visit this place again.

Everything was simple and easy and the bed is very comfortable. I was the only girl during my stay in the 8-bed dorm room but still felt safe.

Got a job in Minneapolis and spent two weeks here while looking for an apartment. Steve was incredibly accommodating and very quick at responding to any questions I had. The space was clean and a great place to stay for the price.

There was perfect communication from Nancy, the place was comfortable , neat and clean. A great value .

The bed was comfortable and the location is in a nice quiet neigbhorhood. If you are tall, like over 6 ft. like my husband, it is hard to maneuver down the stairs to the suite carrying luggage since the ceiling is low. There was another beam that was in heads way for him, too. Location is good for walking to some nice cafe's and parks.

Nanci is great, it's also a wonderful place to live, perfect location and walking distance from the lakes.
