“You've probably purchased one of Bob's products. Milwaukie is the home to his mill, as well as, the company store and restaurant. We recommend going there for breakfast. Sometimes you'll see Bob there. He shows up unannounced and surprises his employees. He'll show up on his birthday and play the piano too! And yes, Bob really does wear that hat!!!”

Light Rail Station
“there are three Light Rail stations in Milwaukie. The Park Avenue Station is where the trains begin and end, complete with a parking/bike storage garage. The next one is in downtown, near the post office and archery store. There are several food carts there and a coffee shop across the street. The third station is at Johnson Creek/Tacoma, near Sellwood. This train goes to OMSI, over Tillikum Crossing over the Willamette River, to Portland State University, Downtown for shopping, hotels and the food scene. You can take other trains at Pioneer Square. ”

Thai Restaurant
$$
“This is a bit of a drive, but if you're craving good Thai food this is the spot. There's like a million Thai restaurants in Portland and many of them are just 'ok'. This one stands out, especially their huge selection of soups. They have this won ton soup I'm addicted to. Everything tastes freshly made. Be careful about ordering things 'spicy'...they don't play around!”

“Little bit of a drive. About 20 minutes but it’s one of my favorites. The pizza is spendy, they have beer and a salad bar. Also, they have lots of video games that give tickets and a redemption counter for toys. ”
