Maryville Vacation Rentals

Just booked in Maryville

This room is 1 of 2 rooms avail. Deemed Place of Refuge because it is the perfect place to come to, get cozy in and get a peaceful nights sleep. The room has a queen sized bed, closet space, drawers and T.V. set up to stream Netflix, Plex for movies & free WIFI. The house is tucked away in a nice quiet residential area just minutes away from the Knoxville Airport and adjacent to back roads leading you to the Smoky Mountains, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Close to Knoxville and University of TN.
Our neighborhood is just off the beaten path and what I like to consider "farm land". It is dark and quiet on our 3.3 acres where our neighbors aren't directly beside us but a nice small distance away. One mile down the hill and you are back into the east side of Maryville and on to Old hwy 33 which is a nice back road to take to get to South Knoxville and direct to Henley street bridge, Neyland stadium and the heart of Downtown Knoxville. Choose another direction heading down Lamar Alexander Pkwy to get to Townsend, Cades Cove, Wears Valley and on to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We are an ideal location for those wanting to see it all!
  • I totally enjoyed my first airbnb experience! I felt like I was in Hawaii :)

    Tammy2017-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Tammy's home was very clean and welcoming and had an inviting feel to it. She was very kind, helpful and relaxed which made our short stay all the better. If we go back to that area, I'd definitely stay here again!

    Angela2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great Stay Tammy and her husband made me feel welcome.

    Carl 2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Tammy and Trey are awesome hosts. I had a great stay with them. The Hawaiian themed room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. The entire house is actually Hawaiian themed. Their cats and dog are very friendly. I would definitely stay with them again.

  • This is a quiet place, somewhat in the country. It felt somewhat luxurious. We were there 5 nights and after a couple I started referring to it as home. Really enjoyed our stay.

    Mona2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a remarkable stay with Tammy and Trey. They really do their best to accommodate their guests. They have a charming place and are excellent hosts. They have great information for anyone that wants suggestions and are most pleasant If/when we return to the area we will request them again.

    Scott2017-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous place to stay, very peaceful location. Excellent friendly fun hosts who made us feel right at home. Lots of carefully chosen amenities (like exotic herbal body scrubs in the shower), and the rooms are nicely appointed. Could have stayed here a week!! The basement Tiki bar is one of the best Tiki bars we've ever seen, with so much Hawaiiana, beautiful mugs, records, figures, maps, it was impossible to take it all in! Definitely will stay here on our next trip through Tennessee.

    Nildo2017-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Tammy's place was beautiful! The house is in a nice, quiet neighborhood on a few acres of land. Very spacious! The room was beautiful with hawaiian and beach themed decor. The queen bed was so comfortable with different pillows for choice of firmness. The bathroom was equipped with toiletries and different kinds of body washes which I thought was neat! And the bathroom guest book!!! LOL! I will definitely come back and stay here for next con!

  • My stay was exactly what I needed. I told them why I was there and what I needed to do and they were so accommodating. The first night I got in really late and they had no issues working with me at all. Then the last morning we met and had some fantastic conversation over coffee. I'll absolutely use their place again!

  • We stayed here before and after our trip to the Smoky mountains and will definitely be coming back here when we decide to hike in this area of the US. Safe place with comfortable bed!

Get the best views in town when you relax in our 3 level condo overlooking downtown Maryville, the Greenbelt lake with the Great Smoky Mountains in the distance. Great location for hikers and climbers as well as nature lover's of all kinds! Stay in the midst of a small downtown atmosphere with local restaurants and breweries within walking distance. The greenbelt trail is just steps away and if you need a gym, that's even closer. Come see the beauty of East Tennessee off of our 4 balconies!
Our condo is our home so it offers everything you can expect in your home. We have a brand new king size bed in our spacious master bedroom with it's own deck and full bath. Full laundry facilities and half bath are on the main level with a full kitchen, dining area and living room with a great deck to grill and enjoy the view all day long.
Maryville is located just south of Knoxville in Blount County where the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains through Townsend is located. The GSMNP is the most visited National Park in the U.S. We call this part of the park the peaceful side of the Smoky's as the small town of Townsend has worked hard to preserve their quiet and laid back character without a lot of commercialism. You can drive straight in to Cades Cove and see how the original settlers of Blount County lived amongst the beauty of the mountains that surrounded them. You might see black bears, deer, horses, turkeys, birds of all kinds and maybe even get a chance look at a bobcat or coyote. Bicyclers of all kinds love to ride the loop and hikers can enjoy many levels of hiking just minutes away.

This is your own private space to enjoy, located just 10 minutes from the airport, 15-20 minutes to downtown Knoxville, and 45 minutes to all the sights and activities of Pigeon Forge, TN. Our RV has all the comforts of home from the fireplace and theatre recliners, big screen TV and even a King Size bed. Perfect for a couple to enjoy the area.
  • Brian was extremely flexible with our late check-in situation as we were making a long drive that day, and communicated very well throughout the day! We were given very specific instructions on where we could park (including a picture with shaded areas) before arriving, we were given a personal walk-through when we arrived, and a nice letter was left in the kitchen answering questions like what the WIFI password was and notable things about the space. The space itself greatly exceeded our expectations for the very reasonable price. All the windows had room darkening shades, which was perfect for us. The kitchen didn't lack anything, from dishes to appliances to basic snack and drink accommodations. The bathroom was cozy but perfectly functional and updated. The bedroom offered plenty of storage/closet space, comfy blankets and pillows, and was well organized. The air conditioning worked very well and there was lighting everywhere you could want it(URL HIDDEN)Overall this stay was definitely a 10/10. Amazing host, space, area, cleanliness, and thoughtful preparations =)

    Matthew2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • The camper was incredibly nice, very clean and fancy. The location was lovely, a residential area not too far from the airport. Brian was a great host, and I will be keeping this place in mind for any future trips to the area.

    Christy2017-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Brian was readily available for any questions that we had and was very welcoming. He was working when we got there but Phillip was available to check us in. The place was great! Incredibly clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here if it is available! We will be if we are back in the area.

    Morgan2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • I requested a late check-in and Brian was quick to accommodate. Communication was great and I would recommend this location to anyone. It is an incredible deal for such a nice place.

    Wayne2017-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is my first time staying in a RV. But it felt no different than a good hotel room. It was a very pleasant stay. We were so comfortable with all amenities. Very clean. Brian and Phillip was so kind and helpful. Did definitely recommend this place to stay.

    Sailatha2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Brian and Phillip were amazing hosts. The camper is immaculate and beyond nice. It was like having your own private apartment. Brian accommodated my late check in the location was really close to my needs in Maryville. Would definitely stay again!

This Country Cottage sleeps 6 and is located with easy access to many scenic locations. The cottage has a rustic feeling with a full kitchen, romantic master bedroom, tin covered front porch for relaxing. Short drive to Great Smokey Mnts
Things to do -While at the cottage there are books, games, cards, direct TV, cell phones work fine(no land line because so many of us have cell phones )Taking a nice walk in the woods, sitting on the front porch just relaxing. The cottage master bedroom sleeps 2 in a queen bed, guest bedroom sleeps 2 in a full bed and the living room has a sofa sleeper and an electric fireplace. The kitchen is fully furnished with cookware. The location is very convenient but yet private enough. There is a local sales and lodging tax of 14.75% to be paid in cash when you arrive. This amount is not included in the airbnb rate. We are required by law to collect this. In some areas, Airbnb collects taxes but we don't have that option in our area yet. Airbnb does not yet offer us the option to separate taxes from the listed rates . We have a envelope provided for the tax at the cottage. The cottage is NO Smoking and NO Pets. We are about 2 miles from little river and public access to the river.
The cottage is about 15 min from downtown Maryville where there are nice bike trails, great places to eat and a local subs and such sandwich shop. Some of the restaurants have local bands on the weekends (Barley's & Smokey Mnt. Brewery) Bluegrass music at Music Row and Rocky Branch Community Center on Friday nights. Maryville is a nice town with a beautiful short drive to Townsend and the Great Smokey Mountains. In Townsend there is also Davey Crockett ridings stables, Foothills Parkway is only a few miles away with beautiful views overlooking the area. Tremont is a lovely tranquil drive also hiking area.
  • The cabin was very nice and very comfortable. We had a nice time. Thank you.

  • Rock Creek Cottage is such a pretty place mixing rustic and modern. It was in a quiet, secluded feeling but convenient location 20 miles to knoxville and even fewer to the smoky mountains. There were lots of linens, soaps, coffee and creamer. The owners thought of everything. We would definitely stay again.

    lesa2015-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • My brother, his family, and I rented this cabin on short notice for a funeral. We didn't know what all to expect. The place was amazing!! The cabin was very affordable, spacious, clean, and had all the amenities we needed for an extended stay. We really liked they layout of the cabin as well as the decor. Above all else, Rick and Vivian were extremely courteous throughout or stay. They checked in everyday to ensure everything with the cabin went smoothly and to confirm if there was anything we needed. Finding this place was a blessing and we look forward to staying there again.

    Robert2015-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a quiet place to relax, stop and book this place right now! Nothing was overlooked, from the quality of the amenities to the small details left from the hosts. This place will not disappoint you.

    Katie2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very relaxing time on our vacation at the Rocky Creek Cottage. It was very clean, well-kept, and even more beautiful than it looked in the pictures. It really felt like a haven at the end of long days of hiking in the mountains. Vivian and Rick were very attentive hosts and checked in daily to see if we needed anything and make sure we were having a comfortable stay. Would definitely book again!

    Michael2015-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Very neat, very beautiful, and very cozy for spending quiet evenings after a long day visiting nearby attractions and family activities including horseback riding, trekking in the caverns, river outtings and hiking in the Smokies. Pigeon Forge is a short distance and has many family attractions.

    Rolando2017-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so very much. we appreciate the vegetables that Vivian brought us straight from her garden and we loved every moment of this trip. I love the fact that Vivian left out maps to guide us on any kind of attractions that we would like as well as any type of local ordering food. we ended up using the side tables to eat breakfast outside and we use the fire pit to make s'mores... there was even marshmallows and chocolate and the cabinets we are greatly appreciative of that since I ran out. There was also eggs in the fridge so I was able to include that into the breakfast. We even took a hike up to the mountain that's right behind the house and found rocks and then the next morning we painted The Rocks as memories to keep with us. I felt like I was right at home and so did all my girls. Thank you so much.

    Stephanie2017-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place to stay for a one night getaway. Everything was just as pictured and it was so easy to communicate with Rick and Vivian. Would highly recommend!

My home is located in a beautiful, rural setting that is only 10 minutes from Alcoa and Maryville, 25 minutes from downtown Knoxville, Turkey Creek, Oak Ridge, Lenoir City, 35-40 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains, and 60 minutes from Gatlinburg/ Pigeon Forge. There are several options for musical entertain, sports events, theater, hiking, biking, etc., or just relaxing by the fire pit or back porch. Nearby Alcoa/Maryville has over 21 miles of green belt for walking and biking.
My home provides a downstairs, private entry with a family room area, pool table, pinball machine, gym, private bath that can be closed off from the rest of the house. If the other upstairs bedroom is needed it is accessible from the basement. There is a fire pit, ping pong table, front and back porch that are great for relaxing. There is plenty of parking and room in the garage if needed. This is a country setting with plenty of opportunities to see deer, wild turkeys, and neighboring horses. The back yard had a 5 level water fall to help you relax on the back porch.
My home is located in a rural area with horses and stables nearby and is close to city amenities. There are also plenty of opportunities to see wild life.
  • Absolutely stunning country home! The decor is as beautiful and inviting as is your host, Sandra! This jewel of a home is something I would want to return to again and again. It has every amenity you could think of and the views are amazing. Sandra is a charming host and she has the sweetest chocolate lab. We love this place. Thank you, Sandra.

    Peggy2017-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • The best Airbnb experience we have ever had - hands down. We had a very comfortable and memorable stay at Sandra's place. The house had more than enough space for all of us (group of 5). Everything was on point - the location, the house (beautiful is an understatement), the check-in process, the bedrooms/bathrooms, the pool table, the gym, the garage parking, the ping pong table etc. Most importantly, Sandra was such a warm and wonderful host. She also cooked us breakfast which we thoroughly enjoyed. We would love to come back in the future. I would highly recommend Sandra's house to anyone that is looking for a place to stay in the Louisville, TN area.

  • This was a great stay. Sandra is an excellent host and went out of her way to make accommodations for our two little kids. The area is wonderful and I wish we could have stayed longer. The best part of our visit was being able to have breakfast with Sandra the next morning to learn more about the area.

Our handcrafted wood cabin has an ideal central location less than a half hour from the Great Smokey Mountains National Park for hikers and Cades Cove visitors. Likewise we are 25 minutes to the University of Tennessee for football games or college visits. Maryville College is just 3 miles away and McGhee Tyson Airport only 6 miles. This homey cabin with a great room/high ceiling roominess is tucked down near a creek with relaxed privacy and a front porch ideal for chilling out in a rocker.
This cabin feels like new with 3 cozy bedrooms, 2 full baths, a full kitchen and a roomy, high-ceiling central living area.
We are located just outside the eastern edge of Maryville, TN (toward the mountains). That means there are some great little local restaurants and amenities as well as easy shopping. At the same time you will have quick access to the Smoky Mountains for hiking and day-trips. Also, the University of Tennessee, McGhee Tyson Airport and Maryville College are all within easy reach. We are on what is often called "the peaceful side of the Smokys" and our cabin is tucked away from the hustle and bustle.

This 1BD/1BA efficiency room with microwave, fridge, & keurig is full of Southern Charm! It is both private & peaceful, as this room has its own keyed entrance & is located in a log cabin on a residential private, wooded lot, conveniently just 1 mile from many amenities. The comforts of town are nearby, yet the dead end location feels like you are miles away in the forest.
In this first floor, cozy, efficiency room (located at my home), you will be able to come & go as you please in this private entrance efficiency with kitchenette & semi-shared bath (more like 90% yours- keep reading**). There is a covered front porch with seating just for you located a few steps from your entrance. You are welcome to take your morning coffee here & gently welcome the day. **Your bathroom Jack & Jill's with my home studio, which I use part-time about 2 days a week & normally never on weekends. Sometimes clients need to use this restroom. Though the restroom is pretty much private, there is a chance that 1-3 clients will need to pop in & use the restroom if you stay on one of my work days (days vary), though many times I am either out of town or not even working on the days guests are here. Most often, guests are away while clients are here & there is no issue. We will always knock & lock/unlock so that it is immediately your space again. No one will have access to your bedroom as long as the door is kept closed. You have a lock on the bedroom side. If it's a weekend, it's usually totally yours. IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THIS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW PRIOR TO YOUR BOOKING IF YOU WOULD LIKE ME TO ASK CLIENTS TO USE UPSTAIRS BATHROOM INSTEAD. I CAN DO THIS MOST TIMES, THOUGH CLIENTS PHYSICALLY NEED TO USE THE SAME FLOOR BATHROOM. The room has many extras that you may need while here including an umbrella, hair dryer, flat iron, heater, large table fan, sound machine, alarm clock, extra blankets, sheets, & pillow. There's also a fold out chair & table available & extra toiletries in the bathroom. As we all know, heat rises, so while there is central heat & air in my home, I set the temp to the middle floor, & this makes the lower floor cooler (your floor) & the upper floor warmer. There is a space heater in your unit if you need it. I just ask that you please do not leave it on when you are away. There is also a large table fan for those who need a fan to sleep at night. Also, there is a nightlight for your convenience upon entering the room at night. It is located just below the light switch so that you can see to turn it on. As for food, you are on your own while here, however, there is a refrigerator & microwave, as well as Keurig machine w/K-cups provided. You are welcome to bring your own preferred flavors or to donate flavors that you don't care for. There is also a Guest Information Booklet with tips & suggestions for your stay, including local places to eat plus my personal reviews or recommendations of each place. The info booklet will also provide you with things to know while staying here, such as where to leave your dirty towels, how to return your key at check-out, & the wi-fi password. Restaurants, scenic mountain drives, & things to do are all written with extreme care & detail for you. If you plan to have an extended stay, please let me know if you plan to have guests so that we can work it out prior to their visit. Pets are allowed to stay upon prior approval. Please let me know at time of booking if you plan to bring your pet, as well as type & size of pet. There is a large fenced in backyard right outside of your entry that is perfect for your pet's potty breaks. Also, your larger dogs are welcome to stay there while you are here. If you are extended stay & need to bring your large pet, this is ideal. The yard does not get used very much by my small inside dog, who will not interfere with your stay, as the rental is separate from my living quarters.
My home is situated on a private lot with trees around so it has a "cabin in the woods" feel, though you are only 1 mile to the nearest Wal-Mart, which around here, means you're in town! Hwy 411 is 1 mile away. Hwy 129/The Dragon is 3 miles. Downtown Maryville is 4 miles. Maryville College is 5 miles. Knoxville airport (TYS) is 9 miles. University of Tennessee @ Knoxville is 20 miles. Townsend, TN, is about a 30 minute drive, while the Cades Cove entrance to the Great Smoky Mtn. National Park is another 10 minutes. Sevierville/Pigeon Forge is a 45-50 minute drive & Gatlinburg is about another 15 minutes. Allow 20-30 extra minutes during tourist season for tourist traffic during the last couple of miles toward your destination if headed to these 3 towns. Oak Ridge National Laboratory is a 45 minute drive. Chattanooga is 2 hours from Maryville. Nashville is 3 hours from Maryville.
  • Our experience was amazing! The space was beautiful and Jill was very nice and welcoming. We felt at home immediately. Everything we need was neatly provided for us and we had all the privacy we wanted. We got to enjoy the fresh air with our dog in the spacious backyard. The location was close to town yet far enough away to feel like you are in a secluded cabin. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we visit Tennessee.

  • Great, caring host! She kept texting us to ensure we were doing alright. We had the best time of life hiking at the great smokey mountains, which was about 2 hours from this place. Bathroom was brand new and very clean.

    Genie2015-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent, tastefully adorned and equipped room...the host, Jill, is an amazing host...highly recommend...

    Ray2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jill's apartment was great! I was impressed by how organized it was, and left several notes around the apartment offering advice. Jill definitely goes the extra mile for her guests!

    James2016-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Jill's place in Maryville was great! The room is very comfortable, clean and quiet. It's nice and close to the shopping areas of Maryville and the downtown, but far enough away that you feel like you're tucked back into a more secluded part of the area. Would recommend this place anyone looking for a quiet getaway in Maryville and the Smokies!

    Kyle2015-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a delightful time. Everything was ready upon arrival. We lacked nothing. The the key system worked very well and didn't require Jill to hang around until we arrived. The room was very well appointed. If we ever stay in Maryville again we will keep this place on our list.

    Paul2015-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • Jill's place is great. It's small, cozy, and cleanly. She is very good with communication. We didn't even need to ask any questions during our stay because everything we needed to know was at our fingertips in her handy little notes lefts around the room. There is no oven , but we personally brought a mini portable grill and used it outside and it was perfect. Very good and quiet place to stay. Recommended. Thankyou !!

    Cassandra2017-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience staying at Jill's home. Very nicely done. One thing that really stood out was various handwritten notes at different spots in the room. I felt that these notes make sure that guests feel as he/she staying at one's own house. I hope to come back and look forward to staying at Jill's place again.

  • Geoffrey was a great host in my stay to see the 2017 Eclipse. His place was clean and quiet, and he was super responsive to my questions. He also graciously invited me to dinner with his friend, to get more local flavor. Highly recommended!

  • This was such a cute house and very welcoming! Janie was very patient answering my questions and I would definitely stay here again.

    Renee2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Janie's place was perfect for our weekend vacation! It was decorated in such a cute and modern fashion and all of the pictures were quite accurate in representing the rooms. Janie provided snacks, water, coffee and honestly everything you can think of including towels and toiletries. We had such a great stay at her place and we easily were into the town within about 15 minutes. We definitely plan on making this an annual trip now and plan on booking from her again!

    Baotran2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Janie's home is so comfortable and perfect for a quiet stay in the hills of East Tennessee. I chose her place as a retreat for a couple nights before my wedding and I couldn't be happier. She even left a gift of cupcakes from a local bakery (amazing) and a bottle of champagne! We hade everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. The house was super clean and decorated beautifully. I highly recommend Jamie's place!

    Megan2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • This bungalow was the perfect place for my guest and me to stay for a wedding nearby. The house is nicely furnished and clean with a scenic view of the river that can be enjoyed from deck chairs in the lawn. All creature comforts were provided for from kitchen utensils to fluffy white towels to a secure garage for a motorcycle. We enjoyed our stay and would return here if we are ever in the area. Thank you, Janie.

    Catherine2017-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • This was an excellent space with all the necessary comforts plus Janie's great attention to details. We had a wonderful visit and our host was fantastic to us. It was a great value and I would stay again in a heartbeat!

  • This is just the cutest little home! Perfect for someone wanting to just relax and spend quality time with loved ones! Very convenient to the Smoky Mountains, Maryville and not far at all from Knoxville. Perfect little spot on the river to hang out and relax. I definitely will recommend to my friends/ family and I will stay here again soon!

    Megan2017-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was an awesome place to stay. Janie is a wonderful host. To begin, communication was perfect, and Janie responded quickly to any request or question. When we first walked in, we immediately noticed Janie's great style and loved how the house was decorated. When we walked into the kitchen, she had bread and cookies from a bakery waiting on us! The house was very clean, and the beds were so comfy. Plenty of pillows and fun blanket throws to cuddle up with when we were reading or watching TV. The chairs by the water were an awesome bonus. Sat outside with a cup of coffee on Sunday morning just watching the water and listening to the birds. We did not have time to have a fire pit outside, but we plan to return with that on our list. Even though the house was pretty close to a road, it was so quiet. We were able to relax and get some rest. Thank you so much Janie! We will be back next time we are in Maryville.

We are cradled in a forested hillside with beautiful views of horses grazing in the bottoms, a majestic beech tree that spans centuries and a creek that flows from the largest spring in the state of Tennessee. For local color you can drive a mile to visit the Shell station or the Dollar General Store. A trip in itself.
  • Kathy's place was absolutely prefect! My husband and I had a very peaceful and relaxing stay. We got the chance to walk around the property with our dogs and spend time with the horses. Kathy was warm and inviting and super accommodating with our late check in. She also made a delicious breakfast both mornings during our stay. We would highly recommend staying here!

    Amanda2017-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy was an amazing host alongside her friendly dogs. My fiance and I only had the pleasure of staying 1 night but we would not hesitate to book again. Location, location, location!! Kathy's home is a quiet retreat between the scenic Smoky mountains and bustling Knoxville, and less than 15 mins from the airport when it's time to go.

    Eric2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy was an absolutely lovely lady and so were her happy puppies. Her farm was green and gorgeous with a fantastic creek running through the middle of it. If you're looking for peace, relaxation, horses and the cutest dachshund ever then this is the place for you.

    Michael2016-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay if you're in Tennessee! Unfortunately, my travel schedule prevented me from really getting acquainted with Kathy while I was there, but she was very welcoming and gave some great recommendations about things to do in the area. The place is clean, quiet, and peaceful, and perfect for anyone stopping through or looking to escape into nature!

    Pete2016-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy's 100 acre horse ranch offers a budget alternative and sanctuary 10 minutes from the Knoxville airport, contrasting with the bland hotels and stip malls of Alcoa. It reminded me of a 1960s rustic state park cabin, with lovely wooden beams above the bed, balcony overlooking the creek below, updated bath across the hall and the wonderful sound of rain on the tin roof. She kindly prepared a light breakfast with good coffee and teas and we shared good conversation and appreciation for saving this wonderful, old farm.

Enjoy a peaceful retreat into nature and try yurt living in our spacious 20' yurt with the color and charm of hand-made Peruvian art and crafts. Located on 126 acres of private wooded land, find your peace and privacy in the foothills of the Smokies. Our land is located 15 minutes south of Maryville, 20 minutes from the TYS international airport, and 20-40 minutes from Knoxville, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Cherohala Skyway, Tuckaleechee Caverns, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Hwy 129 The Dragon, and Dollywood.
Nearby attractions We encourage you to explore this fascinating region before or after the course. Many of these outdoor attractions are only a short drive away. Here are a few we recommend: Great Smoky Mountains National Park Located less than 25 miles from Seven Springs is the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the most visited National Park in the U.S.! On your way you will drive through Townsend with a wonderful Visitors Center that we recommend visiting. Cades Cove is also a beautiful 11 mile loops to drive or bike on Saturday mornings when it is closed to cars! Abrams Falls is a nice 5 mile hike from Cades Cove. Look Rock Fire Tower A short and windy drive up the mountain from Seven Springs is Look Rock Fire Tower. Still used as a fire lookout, this tower is at the top of an easy .5 mile hike up to a breathtaking 360 view of the surrounding mountains. You can see the Fire Tower from Seven Springs and even see Seven Springs from the Fire Tower! Tremont A nearby nature education center, this area is fun to visit for information and connect to some good trailheads! Enjoy our favorite moderate waterfall hike, Spruce Flats Falls Mount Leconte If you’re looking for a more challenging and longer hike, we recommend this one! Plan for a full day and lots of water! There are a few trails to choose from and a Lodge at the top if you’d like to spend the night (reservations required). We like the Alum Cave Bluff trail; it is steeper and more difficult, but the Bluffs are a must see on your way up. Alum Cave trail or try the Rainbow Falls trail Cherokee National Forest About a 45 minute drive, there a many places to hike, fish, camp, kayak and white water raft on the Ocoee River! Abrams Creek Trail This is the closest National Park trailhead to Seven Springs. It provides many beautiful trails filled with lush vegetation and classic hiking. Tubing One of the best ways to enjoy the river in the mountains on a hot day is to go to tubing! There are many tubing companies in Townsend that will rent you tubes and drop you off and pick you up on the river. We recommend just stoping at any of them, they offer deals of $10-$15!
  • The Yurt village is so magical. You areally close to nature without losing creature comforts. We were able to hike in the Smokies and make a day trip to Knoxville. I will definitely be coming back.

  • My wife and I found this wonderful place on a whim when we decided to visit Smoky Mountains for the 4th of July weekend! The location is very close to the park and on a beautiful and secluded property! We both love to camp and the outdoors but we had never stayed in Yurts before and we absolutely loved it! The yurts and outdoor kitchen/bathrooms are really cool and unique and give you the opportunity to be in nature with all the modern conveniences you desire! The shared kitchen is awesome and gave us the opportunity to meet some great new friends! Mary and her husband were some of the best hosts we've ever had and were extremely helpful with anything we needed and we really enjoyed their company! We are looking forward to visiting this peacful oasis soon!

  • Where does one begin? Situated just outside Knoxville, TN lies a beautiful wooded retreat in the quaint (don’t let that fool you) town of Maryville. The abundance of activities within 30-45min of Sweet Hallow will not disappoint. However you might find you don’t want to leave such a beautiful and accommodating retreat. I cannot say enough about the Host Mary, Herman, Jessica, and Zach. To try an express their kindness and overall appreciation for their guests, one wouldn’t have enough room to do so here. I can assure you they are amazing people with HUGE hearts. Our time at Sweet Hallow was simply perfect in every way.

This is a studio apartment that shares a roof with the main residence. It is separated from the main house by a breezeway that has spectacular views of the Smoky Mountains. You are welcome to explore the property's five acres (no bears!). It is located just 40 minutes from the Smoky Mountain National Park as well as Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and just minutes from downtown Knoxville. It's a very easy 15 minute drive to Neyland Stadium. It's located on a cul-de-sac so there is minimal traffic.
We are located on a cul-de-sac with only 2 residences past us. Traffic is almost nil. We are on a high ridge with sweeping views of the Smoky Mountains.
  • Fantastic location, great communication and a lovely place to stay

    Steven2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Doug is really an honorable man. When I was inquiring something with Doug about the house, someone else stepped in and booked the house. Doug was able to communicate with the other guest to give up on his house and leave it for me. Then I got in trouble in some payment issue and needed substantial time to figure out. During this time, a lot of other people wanted to book it since it is in the unique timing of total eclipse. He was trusting me and holding me until very late in the night even though my booking starts the next day. The location is unique, not far away from the city but through a secret path, you suddenly drive up to the top of the hill where you are just hidden in the forest. You have the perfect privacy.

Enjoy a stay in my home with your own private side of my house with full bathroom. Wifi, screened-in back porch with private yard, kitchen, and minutes from McGhee Tyson Airport. I always have some very tasty coffee for you to help get the day started. I have two friendly dogs and a cat. They stay out of my guest room and I keep the hair to a minimum everywhere else. So please, if you do not like animals do not book with me and leave a complaint about a small fuzzball in a corner of the hallway.
Enjoy your privacy in my countryside guest room with queen bed that is fifteen minutes away from McGhee Tyson Airport and thirty minutes from downtown Knoxville. I will have a separate fridge in my garage you can use and I will stock it with a few things for you while enjoying your stay. My two friendly dogs and one cat will leave you be, but they do appreciate any ear scratches you're willing to dish out! More pictures coming within the day.
Quiet neighborhood just outside of the city limits with the mountains not far off in the distance. Mostly older neighbors. Just watch out for any dog walkers!

  • Ryan was a gracious host! We had a whole wing of his house to ourself (bedroom and bath). The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. We slept great! We recommend this location to all, especially the pet lovers.

  • Loved staying at the place. Our host wasn't home but he left us a welcome note where to find everything including beer and soda in the fridge and eggs/bacon for breakfast. Provided parking spot on the property in a very nice neighborhood. We went to TN to see the eclipse and the location was great. For bikers - Route 129 and some awesome scenic routes are close by as well as Cherokee National Forest. The only unfortunate thing - we missed meeting our host (we only stayed one night and we kept missing each other). Would book this again and again!

    Melanie2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Nice, safe neighborhood. Ryan provided easy access to his home.. Refrigerator in the garage was helpful. If you like indoor pets, you will be at home here.

  • Ryan's home is beautiful and very comfortable. Guests should be aware there are WONDERFUL pets in the house. Ryan does a great job keeping pet hair under control, but all pets shed and if you have severe allergies please don't give a bad review if you choose to stay with Ryan. It is very quiet , easy to sleep on a very comfortable bed. His house is only minutes from Maryville. I would give him 6 stars if I could!

This one bedroom/one bath cabin is perfect for Nature lovers! Located 100 feet from the Smoky Mountain National Park boundary, this cabin is ideally located near the park (3 miles from Foothills parkway and Look Rock Tower) and other attractions like Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge (35-40 miles).
You can really "un-plug" from the world. No wifi, cable or phone let's you escape from the busy-ness of day to day life and enjoy the peace and serenity of the natural world.
This community offers access to a private lake for swimming and fishing. Wifi is available at the lake pavillion.
  • This was a great cabin to stay in for a weekend getaway in the mountains. It's located very close to the Foothills Parkway which offers some incredible views. The nearby lake was perfect for swimming and fishing. The cabin itself was cozy and well maintained. I'd highly recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to visit the Smokies.

  • Super cute, clean and cozy cabin to have the best getaway ever!

    Nicole2017-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very cute and romantic. Had all the essentials. Jessica was great. Only complaint would be location. It was further off from the main trails and parks then we realized... About an hour drive. Because of this we didn't have time to see too much. There is a nice lake right off their property!

    Grace2016-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • I wouldn’t recommend this host until they improve their accommodations and gain some communication skills. And here is why. This was first time I traveled in TN mountains and I knew nothing about how the roads were there, so I asked this host if the roads are alright and also informed her that I rented a big truck, she said that the entrance to the cabin is a steep gravel but it should not be a problem. Surprisingly to me, the roads were smooth and nice like butter up to the point I reached the cabin, the driveway was gravel and my truck got stuck in it, next morning I also found out that it wasn’t the first time and that one of their neighbors had been stuck there before, so Jessica failed not only to inform me about that but also suggested to go ahead and enter her driveway. Same morning, she had her friends come in in a truck and pull me out, she never said anything about her having to pay them so I assumed it was just friends helping out. If I had known, I would have called my credit card company or insurance to get it done for free, but since Jessica volunteered for this, I assumed it’s not a big deal for her friends to do this. When I left her cabin, I sent her a message and told her about my experience which was an honest one, and asked her considering the circumstances, if she could at least offer me a partial re-fund for inconvenience? I didn’t sleep at all that night, I was up all night trying to figure out a comfortable temperature setting on the AC that had no digital setting, and I was either hot or cold, I couldn’t even shower after a long day and long drive because her shower had was not working, I really wanted to just pack up and leave after tossing and turning for hours but I couldn’t even do that since my car was stuck. Well, she rudely replied to my text saying— “not only I had to pay my friends to pull you out, but also re-fund you for your inconvenience?” The truth is that it doesn’t matter weather she had to pay someone or not, it’s her driveway and it’s her responsibility what happens on her property when she runs business on this property. And I also thought I was fair and too nice to leave it up to her to decide what was fair and suggested a partial re-fund when I could have claimed a full re-fund. Anyway, after few messages, she wrote me back saying that she re-funded 50% and that she hopes I have a safe trip back! To me it sounded she does not wish me well and I just didn’t want her bad energy so I told her she keep her money and her bad energy to herself and I didn’t accept her re-fund. I could have...

    Ky2016-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • I would like to preface this review admitting that while I stayed at Jessica’s cabin, I accidentally broke a lamp and a lawn chair. Both of which I promptly paid for. My boyfriend is a big guy and it was relatively small living quarters and he is very clumsy. I sincerely apologize for that. However, the reason the lawn chair broke in the first place was because we moved it by the fire pit which had a steep incline. It was poorly put together and honestly dangerous. The inside and outside of this cabin was very shottily put together. There were shingles and tools left on the porch as well as random piles of wood with nails sticking out in the back. I stayed at Jessica’s cabin for 4 nights. I am not a high maintenance person whatsoever, BUT there were 2 cockroaches, an ant infestation, and 1 dead mouse in our cabin. I understand we were in the woods and nature will find a way in, but to spend 100 dollars a night you would think there wouldn’t be so many. Also, I would have liked to have been able to open the windows but there were no screens. There were multiple bottles of water in the fridge that were half-filled and a pint of ice cream that was eaten out of. It was very odd and seemed like they were left behind and that the cabin was not properly cleaned after the last guest. The kitchen sink leaked and left puddles of water on the counter. The cabin was not as close to the Smoky Mtn National Park as it was advertised to be, it took an 1 hour+ to get to the park’s main attractions. Don’t be fooled. Overall, this cabin seemed like a cash cow only meant for profit. It was a very unexpected and disappointing experience considering the other reviews of this place were positive. Maybe because we stayed so long things became clear to us while other guests may not have experienced that.

  • This mountain cabin and our hosts were wonderful! The cabin is located on the edge of Great Smokey Mountains National Park. The quiet wooded setting was just what we hoped to find. The cabin was comfortably appointed with a full kitchen and bath. More importantly, our hosts were great-- quick and attentive to our requests for information. Highly recommended -- we certainly will recommend to all our friends.

  • Hunter's Hideaway is the perfect getaway! The mountain is beautiful (spectacular views), and the lake is very close and relaxing. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking to un-plug for a bit. I would 100% stay here again. Close enough to Maryville that we were able to stop there for dinner one of the nights. Thanks, Jessica!

    Steven2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Jessica ensured the Cabin was well cleaned and prepped prior to my arrival. The Cabin is beautiful, in a secluded spot off of a mountain road. If you like to hike, explore nature - or you just want to explore U.S. Highway 129 (Tail of the Dragon)...this is the place! Again, absolutely beautiful cabin in a gorgeous spot.

"There's no such thing as a bad day on the lake." Beautiful, relaxing spot ten feet from the Little River, an extension of Lake Fort Loudoun. Enjoy the view, float in the lake, or just use this convenient spot for a home base as you enjoy all that East Tennessee has to offer! Only 15 minutes from downtown Knoxville and UTK and a quick jaunt to the beautiful Smoky Mountains, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Hiking, fishing, horseback riding and picturesque scenery are all in your back yard!
The downstairs apartment of our home provides a cozy, quaint getaway for our guests. Comfortable beds for 5-6 in a warm and inviting apartment with the river just outside your door. (Additional aerobeds are available for additional guests.) You won't believe the view, and you can always float in the river for warm-weather fun! (We live in the upstairs space, but are careful to respect our guests' privacy.)
Your Lazy River Landing paradise is near the end of a dead end road, so peace and privacy is the order of the day.
  • SO wonderful!! I've stayed with Mike & Mary Lou multiple times now, but this was the first time I was lucky enough to bring my family. The space was very comfortable for a family of 4 and the kids absolutely loved being right on the water. Mike & Mary Lou were welcoming and warm as always and made sure my husband and kids were well cared for with amenities, snacks, and LOTS of fun. We can't wait to go back!!!

  • I looked at the reviews for Lazy River Landing and booked a stay there for 5 days. It seemed like it might be a good place for a relaxing vacation.... WOW!!! It was fantastic!! From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome, notably with a bottle of wine and some souvenir wine glasses... but in every other way imaginable!! Everything we needed was there, plus an offer to provide anything they (Mike and Mary Lou) forgot—they forgot nothing. There were snacks there so we didn't have to run out for our own supplies until we were up, dressed and ready, and all the necessary appurtenances of personal pampering for the bath were there as well. The living space was so cute and charmingly decorated—these kids have an eye for color and design! It was tempting to stay inside, except... the door opens to a patio area right beside the lake. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? It was so peaceful to sit out there and read with a glass of orange juice (or above-referenced wine), and when it warmed up I enjoyed floating on one of their... um... floats, just relaxing in the water. (They were gracious enough to share these with us!) Oh, yeah... Knoxville is charming when you do venture downtown, and Mike and Mary Lou are full of ideas for fun places to go. They know the area exceedingly well, and were more than happy to answer our questions. Could not have asked for a better vacation..... did not want to leave..... you should book now because I'll be booking it again myself if you don't get there first!!

    Eileen2016-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • We have stayed here twice now, and the second time was somehow even better than the first! I would (and do) highly recommend Michael's place to anyone traveling through or near Knoxville.

    Savanna 2017-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best experiences ever! Michael and Mary Lou have thought of everything. You will LOVE their home and the beautiful lake just steps outside of your private entrance! I've booked their lovely accommodations again for another stay later in June.

    Robert2016-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • Mary Lou met us when we got there and I must say the space is much more than what is listed. They went above and beyond anything I expected. I have stayed with Airbnb many times and this was my very best experience. I will definitely stay there again. Mary Lou took care of all my needs. Loved the fact that there was a gift there for me and so many little things that they went out of their way for. A bottle of wine with a welcome note, candies and snacks, drinks, any bathroom and personal care needs, even a sweet little sound machine beside the bed. ***** Yes that is 5 stars. Loved my stay.

    Glenda2016-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • We love the location and also how clean and organized the place is. You have everything that you need here. The hosts are very friendly and they respond to anything that you need in a timely manner. Once we arrived in the place Mary and Mike greeted us and they were very friendly. They made us feel welcome. Overall it's a great experience and I would love to come back here again.

  • We usually stay at hotels or lodges so was our first with airbnb but it's the start of a new tradition especially with Micheal & Mary Lou!! Their home is so enviting & comfortable it litterally was like being at home. Our boys slept wonderfully which usually is an issue when we go away. The sound machines where amazing for the baby to fall asleep to as well. Gabi g a washer & dryer makes vacationing with kids so much easier. We will be back next year for sure!!

    Jessica2017-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Mike and Mary Lou are the sweetest couple! They both were available to answer questions about local eateries, best places to visit and where to go hiking and if they weren't sure, they would reach out to their local friends and get the best suggestions for us. We had the entire bottom level to ourselves and it felt like our own personal space with our own entrance. I felt right at home with a literal waterfront location, we had private space both inside the apartment and outside - I felt totally comfortable sitting outside and reading as if I was at my own house. The neighborhood itself is off the beaten path, so it feels private and secluded, but it is still centrally located to both the city of Knoxville (with all the day and nightlife it offers) and the beautiful mountains (with all the hiking and nature it offers). My friend and I could not have been happier with this place and its hosts. We have already made a list of people we want to bring back - we will definitely be visiting again as soon as possible.

The "little cabin" is overlooking the Smokies and provides great access to both Maryville & Townsend. We provide a clean and cozy "mother in law" attached to our home with its own entrance & locked door. There are 2 bedrooms, a full bathroom, a shared screened in porch with fireplace, and a huge shared deck with views of the Smokies. It's a remote location and a nice quiet set up for a couple or a family with small children.
This is a quiet cabin next to our home. You have your own private cabin, but we also have little ones so I am often home during the daytime and evenings if you would have any questions or need any help. It is a great set up for a family or small group who wants access to the Smokies, but prefers to be away from all the noise.

  • Jennifer was very helpful and made sure couple times if we needed anything to contact her. The place was equipped with enough things and more that made the stay even better. The little touches in the bathroom and kitchen was beyond what a host supplies, excellent stay! I'm not familiar with Direct Tv so it took a while to work the network and tv. Overall the place was excellent and enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

All the coziness of a cabin in the woods, minus the chainsaw bear statues! Our above-garage apartment is open, light and modern, with a porch looking down into the creek, and secluded among the trees. The apartment is completely separate from the rest of the house, with its own bathroom and kitchen, deck and entrance. Instagram: @cozy_farmstead
Our house is secluded in the woods, but only 45 min from Knoxville, 20 min from Maryville, and 15 min from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We are the perfect location for outdoor adventures. We are also about 35 to 45 min from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The scenery is breathtaking here, and we absolutely encourage guests to take full advantage of being close to nature while you're here.
There is another house on our driveway close by that is rented by long-term renters. Other than that, we don't have any "next door" neighbors. Our road is quite busy and rather narrow, so please be careful!
  • Place was great. Rachel and Greg were very nice. Place is bigger than it looks in the pictures

    Scott2016-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Probably better than any hotel or AirBnB pad in the area. Rachel and Greg's property is BEAUTIFUL and the clean and nicely appointed apartment above the garage was a fantastic space for my girlfriend and I to stay. Honestly, if I were to purchase a condo or vacation home in the Maryville, TN area - I'd want it to be just like Rachel and Greg's place. Highly recommended if you are an outdoors enthusiast and prefer a quiet spot among the hills over noisy city hustle and bustle.

    Zach2016-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel and Greg were perfect hosts. The apartment is much bigger and cozier then pictures show! The view and serenity are both peaceful and much needed. I would absolutely recommend staying with Rachel and Greg.

  • What a wonderful, secluded spot in the foothills of the Great Smoky's! We had a great 3 days hiking around the park and returning to the light and spacious apartment. The place is clean and has everything you need to be self-contained. We also fell love with the sweet dogs. Would absolutely stay again!

Welcome to our lake house! A comfortable and quiet cottage that is perfect for hikers, bikers, cyclists, fishermen, families, romantic getaways, and those that love the great outdoors. Surrounded by National park. Set on a quiet wooded road, walk to our private lake lot. Kayaks & paddle boards are available for a nominal rental fee. Relax and enjoy the quiet mountains and refreshing lake. No large group of adults please, prefer families or small groups (4). Quiet mountain community NO PARTIES
Comfortable and nicely decorated house on a wooded gavel road. We have included a private lake lot, walking distance from home. The lot is undeveloped and might pose an issue only for those with mobility problems (see photos). A quiet dock and boat house with kayaks and paddle boards can be enjoyed here. The house also includes, fireplace, laundry, well stocked kitchen, outdoor fire pit, gas grill. Great for families. Local channels only on the TV! Lot's of DVD's! Great WiFi and streaming available for Netflix and others.
Top of the World is a quiet lake community on Lake in the Sky, a 50+ acre stocked lake. Predominantly made up of vacation homes and surrounded by national park on all sides. There are no fast food restaurants or outlet malls! This is truly for those that want to get away from it all. NO PARTIES! No alcohol at the lake.
  • This cabin was very filthy and nasty and rundown. There was no water pressure for a shower when I got there. Although I'd only been there an hour the owner accused me of running the dishwasher, laundry machine and the shower all at the same time. She is very nasty and difficult to deal with. She actually called the cops on me after I told her I did not want her to come over and keep arguing with me. I only stayed there one night and she tried to keep $500 of the $1,000. I paid. extremely Shady extremely psychotic

    Kristin2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • The Cottage in the Sky was a lovely place to spend a couple of days with family. We grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, and steaks on the deck's gas grill. I enjoyed the mountain and lake scenery from the Adirondack chairs at the end of Megan's private dock while the guys fished (no luck!). We experienced the beauty of the Great Smokies on a side trip to Cades Cove. It's a wonderful place for that very needed "getaway from it all" vacation!

    Linda2016-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • The house was wonderful! Everything was clean and warm and welcoming. Couldn't have been happier with the accommodations and we loved the area too! We hope to come back and spend more time next time! The dock was great and we loved the outdoor fire pit too!

    Andrew2016-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a nice stay at Lake in the Sky. Megan was very communicative, she answered questions right away and suggested things to do in the area. The lake is beautiful and we had a great time swimming and hanging out on the dock. We really liked the hike to Look Rock fire tower. It's a short drive away with amazing views! We loved that we were able to bring our dog, he had a great time at the lake as well (and meeting and playing with the neighbor's rescue dogs!). This place is very secluded, the nearest grocery store is 30 mins away down the mountain, so make sure you come prepared! But since it's a private area the lake was not crowded at all, it was very calm and a great place to relax.

    Savanna2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Megan's place was absolutely perfect! Even better than the pictures! A steal of a deal!

    Gina2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage cozy, cute and extremely clean! We enjoyed the fireplace inside as well as the firepit outside. There was plenty of space for the 5 of us and the kitchen was perfect for cooking family meals. The lake is beautiful, I just wish the weather would have cooperated to let us get out on the water but we enjoyed the snow just the same.

    Beckie2017-03-15T00:00:00Z

We had a wonderful time in the area, which was beautiful and peaceful. The house is perfect for hosting large groups and we definitely recommend the Volunteer Haven to anyone else who needs a cozy home to host a gathering. • We had a wonderful stay in Louisville, and were delighted to find ourselves within the path of totality for the solar eclipse! Liz was a wonderfully welcoming and thoughtful hostess, and we were very grateful for her little extra welcoming touches (cold beer in the fridge was wonderful after a long day on the road, and the kids were thrilled with a coloring book and crayons each). The area is nice and quiet, but with quick access to Knoxville, highways, and all your food/shopping needs: in short, restfully secluded, but not isolated (as long as you have a car)! The house is cozy, and tastefully decorated, and feels bigger than we expected from the pictures. There are two living rooms - the main one, which is open-plan with the kitchen, and an additional bonus den off of it (with its own half-bath (complete with shower). This would be great for a bigger group - plenty of room to spread out so nobody feels underfoot. The house was great for kids - Liz welcomed us to kid-proof however we felt necessary (we only had to move a few of the more tempting things out of reach) but overall the experience was relaxed... like staying with family, rather than a "don't touch that" tense, museum vibe. Overall - this was exactly what we were looking for - affordable and without the claustrophobic feeling of being crammed into a single hotel room (with two toddlers and an infant). Highly recommended! One thing worth noting - there's a nice big flat screen TV, in the main living room, but no cable TV. The lack of cable TV was no big deal, but the TV doesn't catch any broadcast channels either, and while we had a laptop, and a couple of iPads we didn't have any way to take advantage of the big screen. We ended up buying an HDMI cable at the nearby Target so we could watch Netflix on the TV (via the laptop). BYO HDMI and/or consoles etc. Wifi speed was fine for streaming Netflix, which was an unexpected bonus.

  • Dave's place is a handyman's gem tucked away on the border of the Smoky Mountains. A group of friends rented it for a nearby wedding, and it did not disappoint. The home is quirky yet inviting and instantly cozy. It's situated on a windy road but convenient to town and the nearby Park. Plus Dave was an attentive host who made sure we had everything we needed. If our travels ever take us back to this part of Tennessee, we know who to call!

    Sarah2015-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • We planned a trip to Dave's with the intention of visiting Great Smokey Mountain National Park. Dave's place is like a park in itself. It is nestled in the foothills off the beaten path. Gorgeous views and beautiful sunsets are in no shortage. There is even a hiking trail. Dave's home is immaculate and very well maintained. It is easy for one to see the tremendous pride he has for his rental. The home is at least one hour (on dark winding roads) from any of the main park attractions or any semblance of a city. The home is hard to drive to after a full day of hiking and a high calorie meal. I highly recommend Dave's place for anyone looking for a secluded getaway with all of the comforts of home. This place is hard to justify as a perfect spot to explore the national park from. All in all 5 stars. The kitchen has many condiments and spices with a few non perishable food items left over from previous guests.
