“The KP Hole Park is a destination when spending the day on the Rainbow River. The KP Hole Park is open daily and offers swimming, picnicking, and a boat ramp. Canoe, kayak and tube rentals are available on site. The KP Hole located on the Rainbow River is a designated Outstanding Florida Waterway. I would recommend going here to anyone. The Rainbow River hosts a variety of freshwater fish, turtles and otters. Hawks, Blue Heron, Ibis, Anhinga and Cormorants are some of the birds you might see on your visit to the KP Hole County Park”

“wonderful hosts/chef Antonio; delightful setting in small old Florida house, limited seating, exception food and reservations recommended. A favorite of the locals, to the extent a devote' flies in to dinner because it is that good. Antonio checks on all his guests for a personable evening.”

Park
“Activities include swimming, snorkeling, canoeing and kayaking, and wildlife viewing. Amenities include a nature trail, a full service campground, a picnic area with pavilions, canoes and kayak rentals, and gardens, as well as access to the Rainbow River. There are also waterfalls and phosphate pits from former open mining activity. There used to be a small zoo complex in the gardens. Some of the facilities still exist but are no longer used. At the entrance there is a small visitor center, shop, snack bar and restrooms, located in an elevated position above Rainbow Springs with a good view along the Rainbow River.”

“Visitors to this old Florida homestead can walk back in time to 1930s farm life where Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings lived and worked in the tiny community of Cross Creek. Her cracker style home and farm, where she wrote her Pulitzer prize-winning novel The Yearling and other wonderful works of fiction, has been restored and is preserved as it was when she lived here. Be sure to visit The Yearling restaurant after your visit. ”
