  • We had a fantastic stay in the cabin, the weather was beautiful. It was exactly what we needed and great that our dog could enjoy the space too. Really nice to come back and relax in the hot tub after a long walk!

  • Perfect break away from the city. The cabin was great- provided everything we needed with amazing views! The dogs had a brilliant time. Would highly recommend. Thank you!

  • I booked this for me and my boyfriend for his birthday. It was amazing, the farm animals..hot tub..jacuzzi bath...quiet farm area...small cabin just for two...nearby beach and local pub...all were brilliant. We went to The Bank in Bude for tapas, rosies for lunch and prestons for lunch. Highly recommend all places. We visited summerleaze beach, the nearby beach (a 25-30 minute walk from the cabin) and did cliff walks which again I would highly recommend. Debbie and her partner were very helpful. We didn't need to contact them but they both visited us (when we checked in and before check out) so any questions we thought of we just asked them then, but they leave their number and were easy to contact. We are already planning on returning when the sun comes to visit as my boyfriend loves to surf but due to the weather he wasn't able to do this AND the cabin has a BBQ which next time we would love to have. Thank you & if you are a couple and are debating booking court farm cabin … you won't be disappointed :)

  • I absolutely loved it! The location was perfect, it was so peaceful and definitely worth the money, already looking to go back in the summer.

    Jessica2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • A really cosy cabin with everything we needed for a few days away before the Christmas madness! We didn’t use the hot tub due to the weather.. but the jacuzzi bath was amazing! The local pub Preston Gate is really friendly and does an amazing roast! Andrew and Debbie are really friendly and helpful and full of good recommendations for places to go. We’d love to return with the whole family and stay in the farmhouse.. will hopefully be in touch! Xx

  • A beautiful cabin, with stunning views from the garden and the hot tub.. We had such a special time, enjoying walks on the beaches in Bude and spending time relaxing in the hot tub.. We took our dog, who loved it there! Our hosts were so friendly and very helpful! We will definitely be visiting again :)

  • Everything about Rosie's Retreat is perfect, from the stylish, cosy cabin (which is spotlessly clean) and the fantastic hot tub with beautiful views to the daily visits from Rosie the cat and all the wonderful tips provided. Rosie greeted us on arrival and visited us each day, adding a wonderful aspect to the stay. The most amazing thoughtful touches just make this place absolutely perfect and we can't wait to return in the future.

    Leanne2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing stay at Rosies Retreat, perfect relaxing get away, with the nicest little touches. Such a lovely host who was there for anything that we needed! Couldn’t of asked for a more wonderful stay. Will definitely be visiting again!

    Hannah2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Rosie's retreat was so so lovely. A warm welcome, easy check in, cake, biscuits and so much more on arrival. We couldn't have asked for more. Beautiful views of the cornish fields with sheep and horses around. Just the most relaxing time we've had in a long while!! Elizabeth is a great host and we can't wait to go back.

    Natalie2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay at the hut. The hut was very clean and the little touches were lovely and thoughtful. Great communication from the host. Would absolutely recommend this place for a perfect little getaway in a beautiful setting. Very sad to leave on our last morning.

    Natalie2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely cosy winter break here and were really impressed with the hut! It had everything we needed and we were really impressed by the thoughtful touches by Liz the host! She was really helpful and gave us loads of local recommendations! It was the perfect escape and we couldn’t recommend it enough!

    Matt2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the hut for 5 nights over New Year’s Eve and cannot fault the stay. Prior to the stay Elizabeth was really helpful with info about the stay and directions, and on arrival there were little treats for us which was lovely to arrive to after a long journey! The hut was spotless, warm and had a really homely feel. The hot tub was an added bonus! We got to meet Rosie the cat too, who was absolutely adorable. Elizabeth provided loads of information about the local area, like things to do and where to eat, which was really useful. We hope to go back to the hut in the near future - it was the perfect getaway

    Ellie2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! We stayed at Liz’s place for a relaxing break a few days before Christmas and it way exceeded our expectations! The Shepherd’s Hut is perfectly located, and is filled with loads of lovely touches - including fresh lemon cake and Prosecco! The hot tub is a delight after a day out walking. If you’re wondering whether to book...do it!

We offer a unique stay in a traditional Romany caravan furnished with some mod cons to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The caravan has electric stove, lights, television,DVD player and tea making facilities. There is a seperate bathroom with towels, robes and toiletries supplied. There is also a day cabin overlooking the meadow and woodland with a fine array of wildlife to be seen.Enjoy a romantic escape in a peaceful location but close to all amenities with Cornwall's famed coastline, surfing beaches and coastal footpath less than 2 miles away .Half a mile away is the historic Stannery village of Stratton with 2 pubs and a village store. Genuine Cornish pasties are available at the farm shop ,also about half a mile away ,and of course in Bude itself which ,while still retaining the charm of an oldfashioned seaside town ,has shops, restaurants, banks and pubs.We would highly recommend a visit to the nearby picturesque fishing villages of Boscastle and Clovelly.Or for those who may like to venture a little further afield there are the worldwide famed restaurants of Jamie Oliver's Fifteen at Newquay and Rick Stein's fish restaurant at Padstow. These are both within easy driving distance ,as is the The Eden Project and Heligan Gardens, two further highlights of this beautiful part of the world.
  • For a wonderful quirky getaway this is a lovely place to stay. Liz and jan the hosts are wonderful couple. It's in a lovely location near lots of lovely places.

    Suzanne2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a rather special offering! If you don't like the idea of a Romany caravan, you obviously won't stay here, but it's the romantic of you who will love it. You are very close to nature and the garden is lovely, all created by Jan himself, including digging out the large pond. We saw a heron there one day. The whole setting is lovely. The breakfast provided in the cabin next to the caravan was great - cold meats, croissants, etc. and Liz and Jan could not have been more helpful and friendly, while not intrusive - the space is your own. This is a bit of an adventure - not just accommodation! Sort of 'out in the wild', although just a 5-10 min drive to 'civilisation' in Bude.

    John2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing piece of art with a lot of thoughtful touches. Me and my wife spent two days in this wonderland. Liz and Jan were away for the weekend, but they made sure that all was taken care including our breakfasts. Enid Blyton stories influenced me a lot during my childhood. I had only dreamt of staying in a gypsy caravan, but now the dream has come true. Thanks once again to Liz and Jan...

  • Liz and Jan are perfect hosts - with great local tips, a beautiful location and the incredible breakfast. Bude is such a beautiful part of the world and staying here really allowed us to live like a local. Thank you!

    Sam2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • What a cool space! This is like glamping in a professional botanical garden. You have three separate spaces: the caravan for sleeping, the separate lounge/eating area and the bathroom. You do have to go outside to access each, so if the weather is foul this might be a bit unpleasant. We felt a bit cramped in the bed and you can hear traffic from the road, but overall we were enchanted by the beauty of this space. Liz offered a wonderful assortment of foods for breakfast and we really enjoyed staying there! The hang out space overlooking the garden is a fantastic space to read and relax. We also enjoyed being close to fantastic hiking on the coast which was a highlight of our trip.

    Joanne2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I LOVED staying here. The caravan was super cute and cosy with so many thoughtful touches. The breakfast supplied was equally as lovely and Liz is a fabulous host. We visited some great country pubs and went on beautiful coastal walks. We also visited the local towns of Tintagel, Crackington Haven, and Boscastle, which were only a short drive away. This is a great place to stay if you like peace and quiet and want a relaxing holiday.

    Rosie2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was our return visit and we loved it just as much as the first time! Lovely personal touches and fantastic breakfast. Thank you!

Our luxurious romantic shepherd's hut and wood-fired hot tub is available all year round. We provide you with everything we think you will need for your stay ~ beautiful french linen bedding, towels, bathrobes, hair dryer, fairy lights and all the wood for the wood-burner and hot-tub. Awaiting your arrival is a delicious complimentary Cornish cream tea and a chilled bottle of Prosecco, log burner and secluded hot tub, perfectly positioned for the beautiful views. Min night stay 2 nights.
Hutterly Beautiful is the perfect summer and winter retreat - for the chillier days, light the log-burner and cosy down with a glass of wine and a good book – and for those sunny days the secluded outdoor space enables you to enjoy the sunshine and the fantastic views. The top step is the perfect place to sit with a cup of tea and drink in the scenery. Hutterly Beautiful is 18 ft of self contained loveliness. It has been hand-built by a local craftsman to our specification. There is an en-suite shower room with loo, heated towel rail, wash basin, towels and bath robes. The bedroom area is snug and cosy ~ king size bed, individual reading lights, USB plug and a window to enjoy far reaching views. There is a bench with a table that slides out from under the bed and a hobbit log burning stove to help keep you toasty all year round. A fully equipment kitchen which includes butler sink, oven/microwave, hob, fridge with small ice freezer, kettle, toaster, glasses, hand-painted crockery, and cutlery. Outside sits the amazing Swedish wood-fired Hikki hot tub, framed with festoon lights, a BBQ and separate seating area. There is also a wood store where the logs, kindling, firelighters, matches, BBQ coals and spare candles are kept.
Our farmhouse is located close by and there are a couple of houses dotted around us but you are mainly surrounded by lush, green pastures. The field next to the hut will occasionally have dairy cows in it. The village of Stratton is just over a mile away and the quaint seaside town of Bude is over 3 miles. We have a white cat called Brian, who you might see around.
  • We have just returned from a wonderful stay in Hutterly Beautiful! Fiona and Rob have thought of everything and the hut is decorated beautifully with all of the luxuries of a 5 star hotel while still maintaining the character and uniqueness of a shepherds hut. Their extra touches - like the cosy slipper socks and a cream tea and bottle of Prosecco waiting for us on arrival - made our stay so special! We didn’t have the best weather but we really didn’t care as we loved relaxing in the cosy hut with the roaring fire and spending the cold rainy evenings in the amazing hot tub - where you get an incredible view of the sunset if you time it right! We enjoyed everything about our stay and we hope to be back in the future! Thank you Fiona and Rob 😊

    Lauren2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • We booked Hutterly Beautiful as a last minute break when our holiday was cancelled and it completely exceeded our expectations. It was absolutely spotless, beautifully designed & had everything you could possibly need. Fiona was an brilliant host, she was extremely welcoming and made our stay so relaxing. The hot tub is such a lovely bonus with amazing views over Bude. I can't recommend it enough, we are feeling very relaxed now!

    Jess2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Hutterly Beautiful for our first wedding anniversary. It was absolutely perfect in every way. The space itself it’s beautiful and finished to an incredible spec, the extra touches were very thoughtful and greatly appreciated and Fiona is a fabulous host. We thoroughly enjoyed our few days exploring Cornwall and relaxing on our return. We hope to return again one day 😊 thanks so much Fiona! X

    Laura2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautifully finished Shepard’s hut in a beautiful location. Cream tea andProsecco awaited us on arrival and Rob was there to greet us and show us around. Shops and local town of Bude only a 5-10 min drive away and plenty of places to eat out close by. Fiona was very attentive and could not have done any more to make our stay extra special. Would certainly recommend and will be back for sure!

    Will2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Fiona’s Shepherd’s Hut was fantastic. I spent ages trying to find the perfect place for a special weekend and it didn’t disappoint. The hut itself is really cosy and beautifully presented. The view are lovely and the wood-fired hot tub is a great place to chill for an hour or two, feeling more authentic than a standard one. Fiona was also a very welcoming and friendly host. Would highly recommend.

    Alex2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • I booked this little gem for me and the Mrs as I was in the dog house! Fiona & Rob were amazing hosts & I can’t recommend The hut enough. Night time hot tub was cracking fun, it even remained boiling hot even when we were getting battered by horizontal rain and sleet. The 2nd night was really clear and crisp as we spent hours chatting and star gazing from the comfort of the hot tub again. The best thing is that now I am out of the dog house for at least another 2 weeks! Guys, book it and surprise her with a last minute trip. You won’t regret it! Fiona & Rob......Thank you

    David2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely hosts and in a picturesque location with great views, very close to local beaches with plenty of places to eat. Will definitely be staying here again.

    Billy2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Firstly, I just wanted to say how kind and accommodating Fiona and Rob are, allowing us to change our dates following a family bereavement. They truly are wonderful hosts in every way! The hut is spectacular, the perfect peaceful getaway. Even in January we had fabulous views over the sea and stars while using the wood-fired hot tub, which is glorious! The log burner in the hut kept us nice and warm, and the added treats left by Fiona were such a thoughtful touch. Even the books and games in the hut are great! I couldn’t recommend it anymore highly. We hope to come back again soon!

Good for surfers, couples & young families, my place is less than 500 metres from award winning beaches with great surf and stunning cliff walks. A links golf course and the restaurants, cafes and shops of Bude are nearby and within easy walking distance. This cosy wooden cabin is self-contained with own entrance, small double bedroom, separate bunk bed, kitchen with breakfast bar & sitting area, wc & shower room. Outside is a decking area with table and chairs, swing seat and a solar shower.
The wooden cabin is self-contained with its own entrance, comfortable open plan kitchen/sitting room with breakfast bar and sofa, small double bedroom, separate bunk bed, wc & shower room. There is free nearby parking. The space is great for one or two people, and a small third person, + baby is ok. Please note that the bunk bed is raised and quite narrow so may not be suitable for a young child or a third large adult. This Cabin is not suitable for people with mobility issues. The double bed fills the bedroom which is partly overhung by the structure of the single bunk in the next room, but the room is light and airy with two windows - hard to explain and even harder to photograph! it also has shelf space and there is hanging space underneath the bunk bed next door. There is a largish sofa in the sitting room which some people use to sleep on. We ask that you bring your own towels. If this is difficult, we can provide if requested. The corridor is quite narrow and the wc/shower room is quite small so unsuitable for wheelchair access or for people with mobility issues. Please note there is no wi-fi in the cabin...and no tv! - tho there is free wi-fi in the cafes nearby.
Fringed by top class surfing beaches, family friendly beaches, and stunning cliff and coast walks, Bude is a friendly smallish town which hosts various music and art festivals over the course of the year and has many popular bars, cafes and restaurants, all withn easy walking distance. It has an 18 hole golf course, a sea pool, and an outdoor skate park and yet is also an ideal place to get away from it all with secluded beaches and wild countryside just minutes away. Everything is within walking distance of our house.
  • Good coms and a lovely place near the beach

  • Fabulous bas for exploring the local area and south west coast path. The cabin was cosy despite the freezing weather. Lucilla is a top host. Highly recommend

    Linda2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • A real life tiny home, super cute, even had games to play. Freezing in winter so bring layers but there are two portable heaters to use. Really good location, so close to the beach and only a 5 minute walk from town - super easy. Would stay again

  • Lovely, cosy cabin with everything we needed for our stay. Such a great location near the beaches and the town of Bude. The cabin was spotlessly clean and very warm even on a rainy October weekend. Lucilla was really helpful and quick to respond and everything was set up ready and the cabin was warm when we arrived late on Friday night. So nice to be able to bring our dog along for the holiday too =)

  • Far beyond expectations, warm greeting with useful local knowledge. Room was spotless with classy little finishing touches. Welcome pack greatly received after 4 odd hours drive. Great powerful shower was a welcome addition after the rainy days spent walking the coast. Parting gift was a thoughtful touch. Will be back and recommend to friends and family. First Air BnB used and was not disappointed!

The Hideaway is tucked in next to the Cornish Countryside, there is a private garden that is fenced off and safe for dogs with a lovely outside seating area, fire and two sunbeds. There are smart T.V's in every room, a lovely conservatory, living room, modern kitchen and 2 bedrooms. We also have the optional extra of a hot tub & summer house, you may hire this on days rental or for your full stay there is an extra charge of £50 for the first days use and £10 per day there after, more in manual.
A modern cosy annex that you hardly know is here, newly decorated with a fully equipped kitchen, smart tv in the living room and both bedrooms and a private secure garden We also have the optional extra of a hot tub and summer house. you can hire this on days rental or for your full stay there is an extra charge of £50 for the first days use and £10 per day there after. The high cost for the first use covers the cost of a water change and electric used to heat the fresh water (by law we have to change the water for each new group to use the hot tub), there after you are just paying for the electric that will be used. Because we have to change the water for each group there will be NO reductions in the cost.
The property is in the village of Marhamchurch which encompasses a small shop where you can purchase your necessities, and an old fashioned country pub that serves lunch time and evening meals. A children's play area is 2 minute walk from the house and there are many beautiful walks in the area. The village of Marhamchurch is less then 10 miles to the popular town of Bude.
  • A really lovely place, close to Bude and Widemouth. Comfy bed, everything you need in the kitchen and a sofa you can really relax on. 5 stars!

  • We had a lovely stay in the Hideaway, I booked it for 2 nights as a surprise for my boyfriends birthday and we had a lovely time. The whole place was spotless and felt very homely - it had everything you'd need for a few days away. Claire was so friendly and accommodating - really quick to respond to messages and even picked up some banners and balloons for me so the hideaway was decorated when we arrived which was lovely. The hot tub was really warm and relaxing and a great addition to the break - the summer house was fab too as it meant our dog was able to sit in her bed nearby whilst we were sat in the hot tub. I would definitely recommend staying in the Hideaway and the fact that it's so close to such beautiful places and coastal/dog walks made it even better. We visited Bude Canal, the coastal path and Tintagel during our visit and they were stunning! 100% recommend

  • The lodge is simply amazing. Directions and communication was fantastic and we found the place easily. We were taken aback with just how big the lodge is and it was spotless throughout. The added touches like the milk in the fridge and the cupcakes made us feel very welcome. Ideal location for walking along the canal into Bude and perfectly situated next to the Weir cafe where we can recommend the amazing breakfasts. John was a fantastic host and suggested some other scenic walks around the area. All in all a wonderful place to stay.

John was a lovely host who made us feel welcomed and made sure we were settled into the lodge. The lodge was perfect for our family, kids were very happy here. Clean, spacious and comfortable. Access and parking straightforward and easy. Great views across the lake and fields opposite. Highly recommend Bude bikes (electric bikes on the 4 mile loop track). 2 Min walk from the lodge to a restaurant overlooking a play park, great for a Gin whilst the kids play.

  • My family and I had an amazing stay at Court Farmhouse as well as our 2 dogs. There was plenty of space for all of us and everyone had their own bathroom. Even though the house is big, it’s very cosy and really nicely decorated throughout. I really love the fairy lights in the lounge. The pool was really lovely, as-well as getting to feed the animals! One of my favourite parts of our holiday. It’s in a really good location, not far from Bude. There is also a woodland area with a river nearby to walk the dogs. Everybody we met were really lovely and very helpful. Thank you very much for a nice, relaxing weekend :-)

A comfortable, self-contained annex with off-road parking, rural views & outdoor seating. Situated in the hamlet of Helebridge by the old wharf of the Bude Canal. A circular, flat walk to Bude via towpath & cycleway with cross country paths to the coast offer plenty of scope for outdoor relaxation. Sleeps 2/3 in a double bed and sofa bed in the lounge. Dogs welcome!
Boots Cottage is a delightful canal-view cottage with outstanding rural views with easy access to beaches. The accommodation includes a cosy lounge with eating and seating areas (including a sofa-bed), leading into a fitted kitchen with fridge-freezer and washing machine. Upstairs there is a spacious dual-aspect double bedroom with en-suite shower room. All rooms are light and airy with fine rural views. Internet access is available as is a selection of board games for cosy nights in. Outside the cottage are pretty gardens and off-road parking. Guests also have the use of a characterful and secure adjacent stone outbuilding for bike and surf equipment storage and have the use of a washing line. Bring your dog who would be comfortable and welcome downstairs. He/she would also be secure in the enclosed courtyard, and may occasionally be visited by the friendly resident cat next door. There’s even a hose to deal with the aftermath of any particularly mucky walks! Bikes are also very welcome – the cottage being right next to the National Cycle Network. Level access along the tranquil canal towpath takes you into Bude with its golden beaches and canal wharfside activity, within 40 minutes. A walk of similar length follows an old footpath over the fields giving superb views back over Helebridge and to the village above. Onward, cresting a hill, presents a wide panorama of Widemouth Bay. This sandy beach, backed by geologically fascinating cliffs, is noted for surfing but is also great for swimming and dog-walking. The southern end is available for doggie fun all year. Alternative routes back can make a circular walk, and if timed right, offer views of the sun sinking into the Atlantic Ocean. Boots Cottage is well placed at the foot of rolling hills and offers many interesting local walks – with or without canine friends. The picturesque village of Marhamchurch with ancient church of St Marwenne, community shop and village pub is a short walk away along the canal and route of the old inclined plane. The Weir Bistro is a 5 minute walk from home and boasts views over the canal with fishing lake and conservation exhibition together with an enticing menu. Wildlife is in abundance locally (herons and kingfishers are happy residents) and a bird-hide is situated part-way along the canal path into Bude where ducks and swans are in abundance. There is also the opportunity to take out a row-boat or do some crabbing. There are many places of interest to discover a little further afield via car, bike or public transport – Bodmin Moor, Boscastle and the Eden Project to name but a few. Truro is an hour’s drive and offers a culturally interesting town with many cafes and Cornwall’s inspirational cathedral. The National Trust offers the working flour mill and superb estuary view at Cothele, with Llanhydrock and Trelissick estates affording beautiful parkland and flora. There is so much to see and do that we hope visitors will be compelled to visit again (and again!)
We have a local village shop and pub serving food. There is also a mobile fish and chip van for Friday night supper treats. A five minute stroll from the cottage will find you at the Weir Cafe and Bistro for fabulous food - breakfasts serving local farm-produce are a specialty. There is a wide variety of short and longer walks along the canal and through woods/ fields to the sea. A stones's throw from the cottage is a public green space for everyone to enjoy!

  • Staying at Tim’s house was mush better than expected, Tim was most definitely the best host we’ve ever had at a Airbnb. He came on our first day to introduce himself and he was very informative about the local areas and showing us around the house. There’s nothing bad to say about the big house, location was only 8mins drive to Bude town where you’ll find some lovely beaches and great places to eat. The house is much bigger than what the photos shows, it was spacious and clean. We absolutely enjoyed staying in house and made it home for 5 days. Thank you Tim for being ever so accommodating with everything and especially for the early and late check-ins, we will be back in the near future. You will not be disappointed if you book this lovely big house.

    Amanda2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a week with our three children in Tim’s house. The house is spacious, quiet, fully equipped and therefore very comfortable. It is a pleasure to spend time in the veranda as well as in the garden. Marhamchurch is ideally located to visit North Cornwell (5 mins to Bude and Widemouth Bay, around 30 mins to a lot of other nice spots - Port Isaac, Clovelly, Camel Trail, Tintagel, ... ). We highly recommend Tim’s House !

  • Great base for the north coast of Cornwall

    Richard2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely house in a great location for beaches and other attractions. The house has everything we needed, the conservatory is a relaxing space at all times of the day. All bedding and towels were of a good quality, which was important to me. I hope to book for next year. Thanks Tim

    Ali2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Tim is a very considerate host. His home is a pleasure to stay in and he seems to have thought of every need for a comfortable stay (even including a BBQ). We particularly liked the garden room opening up into the garden. We were three generations and had plenty of space (and enough bathrooms!). A good central point for exploring the coast and moor of North Cornwall.

    Penny2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Tim’s house is in a beautiful village and great location for all there is to offer in the area. The house was clean and comfortable with a beautiful conservatory and private garden. I stayed there with my wife and two young boys and we really enjoyed our stay. I would recommend Tim’s house to anyone and if we visit the area again we will try to book his great house.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Tim’s house and coming over from the US, we used it as our base for nearly two weeks to explore Cornwall. The house was very comfortable for our party of six, with three good sized bedrooms, two bathroom and a Wx, and we particularly enjoyed spending time in the conservatory and garden. Before our arrival, Tim shared a few suggestions on places to visit in the region (our trip to the outdoor Minack Theater in Porthcurno was a real highlight) and coastal walks which we really enjoyed. The house was perfect for our stay with all the necessary amenities (we took full advantage of the kitchen and dining room for our meals) and plenty of space to relax. Tim was always helpful and very quick to respond, including helping us to get an appointment with a doctor at short notice. We’d happily go back!

The place is fully equipped with everything you could need, and a few extra special touches such as the hot tub, and Prosecco and cupcakes upon arrival. • Thank you for a wonderful holiday. The lodge provide the perfect family retreat for us. The lodge had everything we needed to make it a home from home and the thoughtful little touches made us feel very welcome. The views from the lodge are simply stunning and the evenings in the hot tub over looking the Cornish countryside all the way to the sea provide us with some much needed relaxation. It was made even more special with the beautiful cows and their calves nearby. The kids loved seeing them everyday! We would highly recommend a visit.

  • We were a group of 8 friends away for a joint birthday trip in Cornwall. The accommodation was fantastic - very clean, spacious and close to Bude (and the beach). The views from the garden/hot tub were better than expected. Communication from the host was always quick and helpful. Can't fault the experience! Thank you very much.

  • Excellent location, excellent house. Cannot be more positive about The Lodge. The views are absolutely spectacular. The communication from Tamsyn was quick and efficient and made us feel very looked after. The house was cleaned to within an inch of its life and was presented superbly. The cupcakes and prosecco were a lovely, unexpected extra touch. I would highly recommend The Lodge!

Set in a sociable courtyard at Court Farm, Marhamchurch.Part of the Court Farm Holidays site, Court Farm in Marhamchurch near Bude Cornwall, has been in our family for generations and having grown up here, it’s very close to our hearts. It is now our business to make it your cornish home away from home. Still part of a 500 acre farming enterprise, our range of child-friendly, self-catering accommodation is some of the best that you will find in North Cornwall, guaranteeing you the perfect family holiday. • Thanks Kevin for your warm hospitality throughout our stay. Court farm was a brilliant home for our week away and we loved everything that you have created. The facilities with the warm heated swimming pool, games room, tennis court, play area and ride on toys were great. The boys loved feeding the animals and we found all your info about the area spot on and really enjoyed exploring the beautiful area of bude. We’re hoping to come back again soon.

  • We had a lovely break at Court Farm. The accommodation was really well equipped, warm and cosy. Our little one loved the swimming pool and visiting the animals on the farm. The visitors guide was really helpful and thoughtful with lots of great suggestions for things to do and places to eat.

  • Court Farm is the place to go where kids can enjoy themselves and adults can unwind, a simple statement but one which I know will resound with parents stressing about where to go on holiday, how to get there, how to keep the kids happy and find a little time for yourselves without needing a holiday after your holiday! We stayed for 4 nights with our 4 & 5 years old’s at not once did we hear those cursed words “I’m bored”. We split our time between the Farm (feeding the animals, heated pool & play area), Canal (rowing, walking, eating & sight seeing), Bude Town (shopping & eating) and the Weir (cafe with great play park & cycling). Coming from South Cornwall we didn’t spend time on the gorgeous beaches having our own, except to take some pictures and we found loads to do for the family. The farm staff and locals in Marhamchurch were all friendly and delightful, no complaints about the facilities or people...far from it! We fully intend to go back, perhaps explore the beaches, do more cycling and try the spa room at the farm. Thank you everyone at Court Farm :) From the Stratton Family

Brilliant for children, animals a huge hit. Great games room and play area for children. Couldn’t fault it at all. Had a wonderful stay and will be back :-)

You'll find us in a tranquil rural village location, just two miles outside the award winning coastal resort of Bude. Originally part of our working farm outbuildings, Millhouse is a converted traditional Cornish stone built barn. Set in the corner of our landscaped and fully enclosed courtyard, it now offers spacious, quiet and peaceful living accommodation set over three floors. Perfectly positioned to take advantage of everything Court Farm has to offer, it is a stone's throw from the onsite spa room and the shared indoor heated swimming pool. With the tennis court, games room, outdoor play area and animal feeding field nearby. Millhouse is the perfect base to explore the undeniable charms of the surrounding area. Get active and walk on a quiet footpath from the village and along the old canal tow path to Bude. Hike across open farmland to the majestic and spectacular Atlantic coast. Or hop in the car to explore. We are fantastically placed for you to cross the Devon border too! In 30 minutes or so you can be experiencing the raw natural beauty of the Hartland Peninsula or the historic cobbled streets of Clovelly.
  • The house was described as pictured and fulfilled our expectations. We only stayed for a couple of nights and were working in the area, so we didn't get to explore the farm. But in general, it was a very nice place to stay. Clean and convenient.

  • Would highly recommend as this is a great place to stay with excellent facilities and a nice homely feel. Check in and check out was effortless and we knew where to go if we needed help with anything. We had a great time in Cornwall (despite the rain all week) but this lovely accommodation was great to return to after a wet and windy day. Would definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends.

  • The cottage was perfect for us (family with 3 little children)!

    Eva2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • We have just returned from a 4 day break staying in Granary Cottage and it was fantastic. Kevin came to meet us on arrival and gave us lots of information. The house was very child friendly and our toddler loved feeding the animals daily on site. The toy room had a lovely selection of toys for different ages and we enjoyed swimming in the pool, especially as it was so warm so perfect for children. We will definitely visit again. A great stay, thank you.

    Guy2017-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Court Farm with our three-year-old and one-year-old. We arrived late, so Kevin left the key in the door to Millhouse Cottage for us so we could let ourselves in. The cottage was perfect, lovely rain shower in the bathroom, comfortable beds in all three bedrooms, high chair and changing pad and crib for the baby. My daughter loved seeing the animals fed in the morning and checking the chicken coop for eggs. The animals were very friendly but not aggressive, neither of my small children were afraid of them. The Weir, only five minutes away by car, was an excellent lunch spot with delicious food and an amazing outdoor play area for the kids. we ordered pizza delivery from La Bocca one of the nights, and it was delicious. My husband and I booked massages from Court Farm's onsite massage therapist, Vicki. It was quite relaxing and one of the best massages I've ever had. The pool was the main draw for us when booking, and it was fantastic. We pretty much had it all to ourselves the whole weekend and spent hours swimming and floating. The pool is shallow enough that my three year old could stand on her own at its shallowest. We went for an evening swim one of the nights, and the string lights in the poolhouse provided enough light to swim by, but it was still pretty dark and could benefit from slightly stronger lights after sundown, which is early in November. I set up my cell phone with the flashlight on to give us a little bit more visability. The pool was warm and comfortable, and not heavily-chlorinated which made it comfortable for me to open my eyes underwater. We had a wonderful stay and I would love to come back and spend longer at Court Farm and explore the area more.

  • Fabulous place to stay. Immaculately clean with all items and decor looking new and stylish. The bed was extremely comfortable, the heating was excellent, the shower was brilliant ......... so much thought has gone into making this into a perfect place to stay. Huge thanks to the hosts.

  • This is a brilliant place to stay just a few minutes walk from the centre of Bude. It’s comfortable and very stylish with every amenity you could wish for. There’s a super wet room (lovely shower) and a kitchenette with fridge, hob and microwave. The whole place was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Vanessa is a great host, there is a useful information folder and we had a most pleasant stay. We sadly didn’t make use of the charming outdoor area as it was too cold and damp but hope to do so when we return for 5 nights in September - I can give no higher recommendation.

    Michele2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy and comfortable space for two, short walk to Bude town centre. Good recommendations from the hosts - we visited Clovelly and did some lovely (but windy) coastal walks. Would recommend The Barrel microbrewery pub for a local pint and Temple for a nice brunch. Overall, a lovely weekend in an apartment that feels like a home from home.

    Polly2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Best place to stay in Cornwall. The facilities were outstanding from little touches such as providing fresh milk and cereal to the local decorative touches (to the point I asked what colour the paint was). Venessa provided everything you wanted to know about the area as well as local recommendations within walking distance. I would recommend staying here for a mini get away and will definitely be coming back next year.

Swallow Cottage is situated down a long private driveway in a picturesque rural valley. It is a semi detached converted stone barn that forms part of Sharlands Farm in 53 acres of rural North Cornwall in England. The cottage is very popular with young families who enjoy the hands on experience of helping to feed our variety of animals, poultry and ducks. Swallow Cottage is just 3 miles from Bude with its superb sandy beaches and some of the best surfing in the country at Widemouth Bay.
  • Keith and Wendy were great and very kind people, even though it's on a farm it's very quiet and peaceful, out of the way but yet only 5 mins from Bude, recommend for long weekend and short stays.

    Paul2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as described a great place to stay.

    Paula2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Delightful stay at Sharlands Farm. The kids loved feeding the chickens, ducks, goats, turkeys, cat and of course, Boris the pig, every morning. Keith, Wendy and Rachel were all very friendly. The farm is located about 10 mins from Bude, down a track off a small road, a great place to get away from it all. Next time we will hopefully take advantage of all the various walks you can do in the area.

    Alexander2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • An enjoyable few days break - great location with superb hospitality - my small children loved the oppertunity to feed the animals every morning with Keith, Wendy and Rachel being excellent hosts.

    Yvette2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cottage stay, Keith was very accommodating and we all enjoyed the visits from the ducks, eating outdoors in the nice garden and exploring the surrounding area!

    Tom2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • I booked a 5 night break here for myself, my partner and our young son (1 yr old) and we loved every moment. Keith, Wendy, and Rachel were so kind and welcoming, offering tips for where to go, letting us feed the animals every morning, and made us all feel at home. It was a shame the break ended, we enjoyed ourselves so much and the farm is set in the middle of 54 acres of land and it was the most peaceful break we've ever had. We were a very short drive away from Bude and its beaches and only an hour or so from St Ives, Newquay, Ilfracombe etc but to be honest Sharlands Farm and Bude have more than enough to offer to keep you entertained. We can't wait to stay again!

    Alex2019-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great location for a visit to the Bude area of Cornwall. We all enjoyed our stay very much. We arrived a little earlier than originally expected but we were made very welcome and the cottage was very clean and ready to move in. Very comfortable with lots of homely touches. Communication was excellent and Keith gave us lots of local tips for our days out which proved most useful. Hope to visit again next year. Many thanks to Keith and Wendy

The location is in perfect walking distance from shops you’ll need and places to see. Lovely personal touches in the apartment and we were even greeted with a yummy cream tea! Michael2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most wonderful long weekend staying at Paul and Di’s beautiful cabin. The proximity to the lake made it a very tranquil and unique holiday watching the abundance of wildlife come and go. Seeing the kingfisher was a real highlight! We really appreciated the personal touches of milk in the fridge on arrival and firewood ready to go in the fire pit. We will definitely be recommending this gem to our friends!

    Chloe2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • I can’t thank Paul and Di enough for the most lovely weekend in one of their lakeside lodges! It was beautifully decorated, comfortable, clean and had lots of amenities. The lake itself is peaceful with lots of delights nature has to offer. Watching the sun rise was one of the most spectacular things we were lucky to witness there! The BBQ and fire pit was an additional bonus and really made our day even more special. If you can’t make it here for the weekend you want, come back for the weekend that it’s available. You won’t regret it.

    Catherine2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • It’s the perfect hideaway. Parking, check! Lake, check! Table, chairs and decking, check! Big fish check! BBQs and fire pit, check! Along with all amenities to clean and cook and enjoy yourself regardless of the weather. Absolutely top place!

The Old Granary is a quiet space. Your room is at ground level. With a private entrance. There is parking, on a private road or on the drive. The garden is enclosed and safe for dogs with private seating. We are situated opposite farmland with easy access to walks to the coastal paths and beaches approx 20 minutes away by foot, 5 mins by car. Bude can be reached along the canal path, approx 2.5 miles, where there is plenty to do.
We are a dog friendly house with a dog and cat living here. There is a private garden for your use which is gated for your dog, however I do hang washing out and you can too. Dogs have their own area in the house. We are upside down so your room is downstairs, there are steps on the outside, which lead to a lower garden and your entrance. No need to come through the main house. Breakfast can be provided at an extra cost, if this is arranged on booking.
Marhamchurch is a quiet village, but is surrounded by beautiful countryside. It has easy access to the A39 which is the Atlantic highway and provides links to most of Cornwall and further into Devon. There is a pub which does good food.
  • Julia was very helpful, and her place was spot on.

  • Staying at The Old Granary was perfect in every way. Super clean, lovely finishing touches, friendly host couldn't do enough for us, very dog friendly and lovely private garden to sit in. Also lovely warm scones and jam with a pot of tea to greet us. And parking on site. The perfect place to stay.

  • A very clean place beautiful location lovely garden separate entrance and lovely host, wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

    John2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Julia is a fantastic host. Always ready to provide a good tip on where to go or where to eat including vegan options. Location is good for north Cornwall cost near Bude and easy to drive to anywhere in Cornwall. Great if you want somewhere quiet and out of the way in the evenings, though there is a nice walk to the pub in Marhamchurch and Bude is only a short drive or taxi journey if you want more evening options. Great location and host if you are travelling with your canine friends.
