Places to stay in Maple City
Located in the center of beautiful Leelanau County, enjoy your time in this peaceful spot, which is nestled in the pines away from the road. After turning on the tree-lined drive, guests will find a private living room, bedroom and bathroom, with parking a few feet from the front door of this street level suite. Besides a Keurig coffee maker, a toaster oven, microwave, and small fridge are provided. Your hosts will provide seasonal fruits and a continental breakfast.
The guest suite is at street level, and the host family lives upstairs.
This is a quiet, rural neighborhood. Although homes are not close together, we try to respect our neighbors' need for maintaining peace and quiet.
  • Ellen and Cris have an amazing place! We will definitely be back! You won’t find a better Airbnb with more thoughtful touches than this one!

  • We loved the location -- quiet, tucked away in the woods, midway between Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes. We also enjoyed the hosts' hospitality and the basket of breakfast foods set outside our door each morning. We made good use of the games and DVDs available in the suite.

    Eve2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely stay at Cris and Ellen’s place. The bed was SO comfortable (I don’t usually sleep well in new beds!), yummy breakfast (it was placed outside my door in a cute basket each morning), really clean, nice towels. They are lovely hosts - were quick to respond when I had questions and were even thoughtful in suggesting I take a walk through their property and see the fall colors (which I did and it was incredible!). They also invited me to enjoy an outdoor fire one evening (so sweet!) though I was unable to join. So all in all the best of hosts - friendly and available but also let you do your own thing and aren’t intrusive at all. Thank you both!

  • Absolutely perfect. This was our first Airbnb stay, and we could not have asked for a better experience. The location was perfect-short drive from Lake Michigan beaches, neighboring towns, and larger cities. We were greeted by Ellen who was full of wonderful recommendations on sites to see and places to eat. The breakfast left for us each morning was such a nice treat. The ‘room’ was spacious, comfortable, and had every amenity one would expect from a hotel. The stories and recommendations from Cris were wonderful. Ellen and Cris have set the bar high for all other Airbnb stays. We look forward to another trip to the Cedar area, and we will definitely try to book with them again. We HIGHLY recommend staying with Ellen and Cris!

  • Ellen is a wonderful host, great accommodations, lovely breakfast basket prepared each a.m. The tall pine filled area is grand and convenient to # of areas like Sleepy Bear Dunes and even Traverse City for ex. We so enjoyed seeing the special type chickens and roosters of Chris's. We were 100% pleased. Definitely recommend.

  • Great location. Quite.

  • The best bnb I’ve had the joy of staying at! Chris and Ellen were kind and a joy to chat with. The place was beautiful, clean, and went beyond my expectations. Would recommend to anyone!

  • Read the reviews, they speak the truth. I thought this was a lovely place and I was very comfortable. So comfortable I didn't want to leave!

  • Perfect weekend getaway in a perfect location, we had an amazing time during our stay.

  • Patricia and David we're amazing hosts. The place was beautiful and a great price! We will definitely be booking with them next time we are in town. If we could give them 10 stars we would!

    Katie2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Another wonderful stay at Sunset Creek! This is our go-to spot whenever we are in the TC area — quiet, comfortable, away from the hustle and bustle but just a short drive from anywhere we might like to visit. Dave and Pat are amazing and thoughtful hosts — can’t say enough great things about staying with them!

    Bethany2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Pat and Dave are truly wonderful hosts!! We slept so soundly and had such a nice time on our adventures in Northern Michigan knowing that we had a safe, quiet, comfortable, and well-appointed place to come back to. It almost felt like staying at a family member's place, and was so accessible and welcoming. There is convenient parking and a separate entrance, and privacy is abundant. Every single corner of Sunrise Creek was spotless and well-maintained. Seriously -- anything you could ask for was placed intuitively and within easy reach, and felt so homey. We really appreciated the granola bars, coffee, and OJ, as well as the shampoo and soaps (we forgot ours)! Instructions, maps, and suggestions for activities/dining/drinking were thoughtfully laid out. The home and gardens are absolutely lovely, and the property is only about a 3-minute drive to the town of Cedar. We were attending multiple events between Glen arbor, Suttons Bay, and Traverse City proper, and found that we were only 15-18 minutes from each of those locations, as well as the beach! Maple City is a very close stop for breakfast, as well. Cedar is a charming area with an array of shops and this wonderful apartment was a PERFECT "home base" for the weekend. Even if you didn't have a schedule to keep, the environment on the property and the wonderful landscaping would make it a great place to hang out all day. We look forward to another stay in Cedar in our future!

  • Patricia and David's place was great. It is in a great location within 20 minutes of pretty much any place in the Traverse City area. They were easy to communicate with. Check-in was smooth and the place was clean and perfect for what we needed. Spacious bathroom and a nice living area. We would come back here anytime.

    Christian2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second visit with Pat and Dave. We loved every minute! This air bnb is very clean, quiet, and met all of our needs for our stay. We come to the area each July and this location is great. It’s a short distance to Traverse, the dunes, and multiple beaches. In cedar, we enjoyed the Ice cream shop and restaurant (can’t remember its name... but it was called the cedar tavern possibly). We would love to stay here again next year if we are able to get away without our little one.

    Matt2019-07-31T00:00:00Z

  • Bonnie's place is terrific! Impeccably clean (and I have stayed in MANY different cottages in this area for the past 58 years...), spacious, quiet, peaceful, comfortable, very well-stocked kitchen, and extremely comfortable beds! We spent most days out and about (Bonnie's place is convenient to everything--Maple City, Glen Arbor, Old Settlers picnic area, and Sleeping Bear Dunes), but it was wonderful to return to such a comfortable and tidy place. One evening we grilled fresh whitefish (from Carlson's in Leland--highly recommend!) and had a lovely dinner on the deck under the pines. When we thought we lost our key one evening, Bonnie was very gracious and quick to reply to us and help us out. (Turns out we found the key in our car...) A wonderful place to stay!!

    Maureen2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Bonnie's place is perfect for your Michigan getaway. The firepit, the grill, and it's placed just far enough off the road to be surrounded by trees...it really lets you enjoy the Michigan feel, while being so close to the lake. Bonnie was a super host- making sure we had everything we needed. I also love how environmentally conscious she is- and asks her guests to be just as aware- Love it!

    Katherine2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bonnie's place, which was, clean, comfortable, and well appointed for the four of us. Everything worked well and met our needs. She has clearly been very thoughtful in providing for her guests, from the pots and pans to the bundle of split wood. We particularly liked having campfires in the back and grilling and eating out at the table under the pines. Bonnie is a warm, welcoming host and I enjoyed our exchanges. Her neighbors, Beth and Marv, are also quite friendly, adding to our sense of being welcome.

    David2018-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • My husband, 2 kids and I had a great time at Bonnie’s place! She was very thoughtful to leave us a little care package when we arrived. She was also very responsive when we accidentally locked ourselves out. We cooked in her kitchen many times and roasted marshmallows outside at the fire pit. The lake is very close by, we had a blast renting a boat. The water at Glen Lake is so clear! Highly recommend staying at this cottage. We would definitely come back!

Large private lot. Unobstructed wooded view. 1 minutes from Glen Lake and Burdickville. DVR,DISH,SPECTRUM ISP,SHOWTIME,2 TV's. A great place to base your adventures at Sleeping Bear Dunes. Guest Katie said "This place is way more affordable than other locations nearby, and no one bothered us - no partying neighbors, loud people, constant headlights in your window. Had a beautiful time and basically used the home for a place to rest our heads, refrigerate and cook our food, and take a shower."
This is a manufactured home on 1.66 acre property. 1/2 mile from Glen Lake and Burdickville. Unobstructed wooded view from the living room. Large living room, kitchen and bathroom. 2 bedrooms, double bed and a bunk bed. Large windows, lots of light. The nicest, most considerate and helpful neighbors. I am very lucky to have them.
  • Great location. The home is very clean and Richard was incredibly responsive.

    Anders2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great location to base adventures in the area from with plenty of room and comfortable amenities to relax yourself when you are done. The hosts were very helpful with communication and take great care of their property.

    James2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Richard's place served our purpose perfectly. It's close to everything and had everything we needed. We had zero issues and it was cozy enough to catch some sleep and head back out to keep adventuring in the area.

    Adam2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Cabin was as described, quiet space on a large lot. It was very clean, nothing fancy, perfect home base for exploring the county and Dunes park. As others had mentioned, the cell service is a bit spotty, but there is wifi. We brought lots of food, and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The view from the big living room windows makes you think you're really in the middle of nowhere, even though you're only minutes from Glen Lake and a short drive to the Dunes, Empire Beach, Glen Arbor and Maple City. The guide books came in handy, skimmed through them on the first night and found some things I hadn't online. There's a lot to do and see in the county, I could see us coming back, and definitely staying in the cabin again.

    Ashlee2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • You are very close to the lake and close to town. The view from the cabin is gorgeous. The pictures don't do it justice. Just be aware the the cell reception isn't the best so be sure to have data for wifi calling.

    Charlie2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Richard was nothing short of wonderful! His place was the perfect place to shower, rest our heads, and recap our adventures in Sleeping Bear. It was quiet, clean, and comfortable and I can’t recommend a stay with Richard enough!

    Maddie2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • We needed a place to sleep at night for venturing Sleeping Bear Dunes and Leelanau towns/countryside, which are all close by. For the price, it was right for us. Far from perfect, but things onsite worked and the host was very responsive. Bring your own bath things. There is a little store minutes away with everything I needed (emergency bath stuff, ice, great coffee, beer).

    Jeremy2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a gem! Really great low key spot and I personally love the wood grain mod trailer vibes. It was a perfect space for me and my boys. I also thought the location was great. It was tucked away but close enough to the dunes and the beaches (10-15 minute drive). At night we could look out the big front room windows at all the stars. We def loved our time here!

The house was clean and all of the extra amenities like shampoo, condition, body wash, and more was very nice to have. The house was clean and we loved the outdoor area. • Super cute little farmhouse. Drove up to the house at night and friends had arrive before me and the first thing I noticed were the cute little string lights in the front yard! Plenty of beds and space to accommodate our group. It was chilly so we stayed inside and watched movies and played games but if it were warmer, we’d be outside grilling and playing cornhole. All my friends were like, “this place is so cute,” and “what a great find!” We loved it and would definitely come back.

    Maya2019-10-06T00:00:00Z

  • Remarkably comfortable house for our multi-family gathering. Very toddler-safe and kid-friendly. Kids and adults alike loved the foosball and ping pong/pool table, and power-reclining lounge chairs in lower level. The trampoline pictured on website was not there. All essential items (from shampoo to paper towels) were there in abundance. Nice selection of good - quality pots and pans. Loved all the storage areas. House was immaculately clean, and no bugs. House is only a few minutes' walk to an awesome ice cream/convenience store. Only a few minutes to Glen Lake, too, although there is not a public beach there so it's really just a place to glimpse the lake. Great location for visiting Sleeping Bear Dunes.

    Robert2017-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • The house and location were perfect for us - two families with pre-teen children. It was a very short walk to the lake and a little shop with the most delicious icecream - Moomers! The outdoor amenities - fire pit, sky chairs, hot tub, grill - wow! Inside, the foos ball table, ping pong table, & projector provided hours of fun when not out exploring Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, or the peninsulas. The location was centrally located & convenient to all of these via short, scenic drives. Really can't say enough good - what a terrific trip! Really hope to come back again!!

  • This was my first time using Airbnb. Enrico was a great host, always quick to communicate and ensure all my questions were answered. The home offers a lot of space, is located within reasonable distance to all the fun attractions of being in the leelanau peninsula, and is close to Glen Lake as Enrico said. Would highly recommend.

    Julie2016-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • PROS -Enrico is a great host! Great response time, easy to get a hold of, happy to answer questions, and provides very accurate information. -The house is BEAUTIFUL with modern appliances, bathrooms, and furniture. There is a TON of living area which is great for families and groups. It's also very well stocked from kitchen equipment to bedding to games. -Entertainment. There is a very user friendly projector that will connect to your laptop. This was GREAT for watching the college football playoffs. Large flat screen TV in the lower living area with cable TV, pool table, foosball table.. we hardly had a reason to leave! -Comfort. Beds, bedding, pillow, towels. A very comfortable home. Plenty of bed space for everyone. -Great Location. Glen Arbor is a short drive away, Sleeping Bear Dunes are very close, Traverse City is only a quick drive. Ski & Golf resorts close by too. CONS (honestly these items are soooo small but still worth mentioning) -The hot tub works awesome! And we definitely loved it but it does not mimic the house's size. About 4 people fit comfortably. -Driveway is VERY steep which Enrico did warn me about but I don't think I believed him enough! Probably a non-issue in summer months but if you're planning a winter ski trip like me be prepared! Good tires or 4 wheel drive will help!

    Jordy2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • My family loved our week at Tim’s place! That house itself is beautiful, exactly as pictured. The location is great, a quick drive to Glen Arbor and Leland, and only 30 mins to Traverse City. Tim was a great host, and communicated well throughout our trip. On the first night, I couldn’t find a corkscrew to open a bottle of wine and he drove over within minutes to deliver one...truly outstanding hospitality! I would definitely stay here again!

    Bianca2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had been looking for months for an appropriately sized Airbnb to house our family for our annual trip to Michigan. I'm so glad we waited and booked Timothy's house b/c it was exactly what we were looking for. We are avid cyclists and the "book now!" button was hit because Timothy responded quickly to my inquiry about proximity to the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail (exactly 1/2 mile from the driveway to the trail head down M22). This was the absolute best place to use as homebase for our Sleeping Bear adventuring. Just minutes from Bohemian Beach, which we used daily, in addition to the cycling and quick drive to Glen Arbor, Empire, and the entire National Lakeshore area. The house itself was probably much larger than we needed as two adults and four kids, but it was great to have room for everyone to spread out and have their own rooms for the first time ever on vacation. Everything was nice and clean, well appointed, and easy to use. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back! Thanks Timothy! All our best, Katja and Kevin

    Katja2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was fantastic. By far the best Airbnb house I have ever rented. Clean, great location, comfortable spaces indoor and outdoor, and friendly hosts.

    Ann2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a lovely home in a great location on the lake (close to sleeping bear dunes, bike trail, not too far from Traverse City). It was very easy to communicate with owner. He was extremely helpful and provided great information and recommendations. Will stay there again the next time we are in the area.

  • Blue M22 is the perfect spot for your family or group. Conveniently located between Glen Arbor and Leland, you will be close to all the local attractions. The house is beautifully appointed and very clean and has large gathering spaces for everyone to be together. The setting is very secluded. The long wooded boardwalk leads to an expansive lakefront deck and private dock where you can enjoy the crystal clear waters and serenity of Little Traverse Lake. We were greeted by Timothy's mother who graciously welcomed us and showed us around. Timothy was very attentive throughout our stay.

    Catherine2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great house!!! Located in a wooded secluded area with a long wooden path to a beautiful lake. The house was beautiful and very clean and was loaded with amenities. He was extremely helpful he replied to all my messages and phone calls promptly and provided me with information about the area! We relaxed and enjoyed our stay.

  • We enjoyed our stay. Great cabin in a nice location. House layout is such that one bathroom is shared between the 4 bunk beds and double bed, but other than that, everything was great.

  • Dave’s place was a perfect place of a weekend bachelorette party! The house was clean and large enough for a group of girls and the views were great. It was a short drive from the cute town of Glen Arbor and was a perfect pick up location for a wine tour on the leelanau peninsula trail.

  • Beauty on Brooks is a hidden gem and the perfect spot for a relaxing weekend getaway. My friends and I felt very comfortable and there was room for all 10 of us to fit around the table and comfortably sleep. We were able to cook many meals in the full kitchen, use the new grill and even start a bonfire! The living room is so beautiful and the windows and deck have an amazing view. We were still able to get into downtown Traverse City for an afternoon and for dinner. Very close to some great hiking at Sleeping Bear Dunes as well! It was a rainy weekend but I look forward to coming back with some kayaks and exploring the nearby lakes.

  • The "Hydrangea House" is top notch! Perfect for a week or weekend getaway with family or friends. We loved that it was located "in the woods" so remember to stock up with food and goodies before settling in. The home is very comfortable and has all the amenities one needs to feel at home. The newly remodeled kitchen was great to cook in and we enjoyed a bonfire one night too. We also spent one day on a wine tour and were able to arrange a pickup/drop-off right from the "Hydrangea House". We'll definitely visit this area again and when we do we'll be staying here!

  • Picture perfect! Erin thought of everything. The house was immaculate, decorated nicely and had everything we could have wanted in a fall visit to Northern Michigan. We took full advantage of the detailed binder Erin so thoughtfully included in the house for reference. We had a plan of what we wanted/needed to do for the weekend but we could have mapped an adventure solely based on her suggestions :) We all kept saying, “this house is just so cute, I don’t want to leave!” It was a very memorable stay for a myriad of reasons and we definitely be renting again in the future.

    Cassie2018-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, stylish house in an absolutely stunning area! Enjoy that up north feel by being in the woods but still close to the wineries and traverse city. Kitchen was fully stocked with anything you need to cook with. Comfy beds. Nice open first floor so everyone can enjoy being together even if some are cooking. Highly recommended!

    Alicia2018-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I, along with three other couples stayed here and found the house to be perfect. Cedar and the Leelenau Peninsula is absolutely beautiful and this house is equally as stunning. It’s quaint, nicely decorated and perfectly accommodated our group of eight. We’re already considering another stay at the house. Erin, nicely done with the house and thank you for your timely communication.

    Chad2018-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Hydrangea House was such a treat. It's not just a stylish and comfortable home. It's a fully loaded vacation experience. Erin has thought of everything. The entire house is incredibly well equipped and functional, but the kitchen in particular is just outstanding. We loved being able to shop for local ingredients, cook easily in the kitchen, and eat out on the back porch. The yard and surrounding woods are beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. A real getaway and 5 star experience. We originally chose this home because of its unbeatable proximity to Good Harbor and Port Oneida, but enjoyed the time we spent at the house more than we ever imagined.

    Katie2018-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • The Hydrangea House is a wonderful place to stay! The house is lovely, exceptionally clean, and centrally located in Leelanau county. Erin is a stellar host; communication was very helpful and timely (e.g. info on locating the house, access, garbage, locks, check-in/out, etc.). We especially enjoyed the book that Erin created for places to shop, eat, and enjoy in the Leelanau area – excellent material! The house is beautiful – it had all that we needed for our trip (e.g. bedding, outdoor lakeshore equipment, towels, etc.), the kitchen is very well stocked, and the privacy of the area is perfect. This was our first time staying at the house – we definitely would come back again and recommend it to everyone! We spent a week in the area and our vacation was simply fantastic and the Hydrangea House was central to our experience!

    Jacque2018-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • We loved every minute of our stay here. If you are looking for a modern home nestled in nature, surrounded by lots to do, this is it! We ate dinner around the fire pit, chilled in the hammock and even saw deer in the driveway one evening! Inside the home feels fresh and clean. It’s very well appointed and I feel everything a home needed was there (we have two small kids and definitely made use of the high chair, pack and play and toys they had available). Erin always responded quickly to our messages and was very helpful. We took their suggestions from the “things to do in Leelanau” sheet she emailed. Lake Leelanau RV Park had tons of rentals for very cheap, the Pyramid Point hike was great and Market 22 had delicious pizza. The only thing I wish I had done differently is spending more time in that relaxing hammock!!!

    Erin2018-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay in this awesome house! Well equipped kitchen, beautiful decoration, comfortable beds, wonderful garden! We had everything we needed and Erin was a great host. Thank you, Erin!

  • This location is perfect spot, near several lakes if you like to go boating. Secluded little paradise. Host Nello is very friendly, informational, flexible and accommodating. Pretty much has everything you could need including fire wood and hammocks! Wish we could have stayed a whole week!

    Anne2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Very friendly. Clean and welcoming. Comfortable. Great location for a visit to the Sleeping Bear/Traverse City area. Excellent communication from the host.

  • Greatest host you'll have around. Has tons of stuff for you to use. He keeps the small things in mind. Large variety of spices. Attention to detail. Tons of firewood. Beautiful trails. Everything is so clean. Great guy.

  • Nello is a wonderful host. Our trip was wonderful and Nello was extremely accommodating to our needs. The place was clean and perfectly secluded while also being quite close to traverse and the dunes. Highly recommend

  • We had a great experience at the Field House. The description and photographs are very accurate and would highly recommend staying here. The house is quiet and isolated in the best kind of way where you can find peace here but also still be a short drive to town. Our favorite way to end the day was chatting around the fire pit and watching the stars in the night sky. Nello is the best kind of host who truly cares about your wellbeing and comfort. He made sure we had all we needed and then some, and was also very helpful in telling us about the area. Can't say enough positives things about our stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a larger house in a quiet setting.

    Jeff & Anna2018-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • The fieldhouse is a fantastic place to stay and Nello has definitely earned the title of Superhost!

    Evan2018-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was our 5th stay at Fieldhouse, and as always, it was pretty perfect. There were just four of us, including my husband and friends from Scotland. Fieldhouse has a lot of space - and it seems like perhaps it would be great for a large group - but quite honestly we love it for just our family. There are places to sit and visit with everyone - and places to sit on one’s own quietly reading a book or watching birds and deer. Nello is truly a super-host. Available. Communicative. Full of good information (and good stories). Hospitable. The kitchen is well-stocked, and Nello keeps it stocked with spices, coffee filters, and other goodies. Appliances are updated and everything works well. And - ok I confess - one of my favorite things is the box of Kleenex in every single room. Thanks, Nello! See you next summer. 😊

    Laura2018-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Nello was a fabulous host. He met us at check in and stayed in contact with us throughout our stay providing us with great tips on nearby restaurants and beaches. The Fieldhouse was very comfortable with everything we needed. We especially love the outdoor shower and the trails on the property. We had a great experience and look forward to next years visit!

Nested at the bottom of Sugarloaf Mountain and a short walk to Manitou golf course sits a townhouse community, scenic and secluded. Pool, walking trails, scenic views. 9 miles from Sleeping Bear Dunes. 19 miles from Traverse City. Sleeps 6.
There is a loft that can be used as an additional bedroom with air mattresses available.
Sugar Loaf is a community of 50 town homes at the food of Sugar Loaf mountain. We have a pool for relaxing and swimming. Manitou Golf Club is a walk away. There's plenty of parking for you and your boat. At Sugar Loaf you will be a short distance from Sleeping Bear Dunes National lake shore. The Sugarloaf ski resort was recently purchased and is under re-development. Upon completion we expect to have an exciting resort with lot's of outdoor fun!
  • This is a quiet secluded place. Lots of steps though. Very roomy for our group of six. There is one bedroom with bathroom on the bottom floor, another room with bathroom on the next level, living room on the next level, kitchen and bathroom on the next level, and then a loft at the 5th level. It was very cozy and we really enjoyed our time here.

  • Quiet place to stay and short distance drive from all the great local towns without the commercialism feel.

  • Even though we never had the pleasure of meeting Katherine, she was very responsive to any concerns via Airbnb email. Her condo is located in a very quiet location about several miles north of Cedar, is very spacious for 4 people, and offers very comfortable beds and accommodations, not to mention thick, luxurious bath towels and cushiony carpeting. For what we are able to afford, it is pretty equitably situated between SBD, Leland, Suttons Bay and TC. The back deck view of the common lawn area/pool is beautiful. I LOVED having a large washer(!) and dryer available (since I usually have to spend several vacation hours in a laundromat—not fun), as well as a dishwasher (though I did not know they came that small!). The tennis courts (not well maintained) are right across from the front door. Though the nearby defunct, fenced-in ski resort is somewhat depressing, the beautifully landscaped golf course more than makes up for that. There were a few cleanliness issues (the fault of the cleaning company) upon our arrival, but those were quickly and graciously rectified by Katherine. Perhaps my biggest “complaint” is that as a budget-conscious family who has to cook almost all our meals while on vacation, the kitchen lacked a number of essential kitchen tools and cookware, and any leftover containers (good thing I brought some), which would have made my job a little easier, though we made do with what we had after buying a can opener (which we left there). And I might add that the design of the kitchen—its work triangle--is not the most efficient (it’s quite a few steps from the prep counter over to the sink!) Also, some of the electrical outlets (esp. in the bathrooms, where they’re needed) do not work! Bedroom A (the double and twin bedroom) could really use a chest, table or shelves of some kind; in that room, you have to live out of your suitcase, though there is a small closet, but few hangers. Those few “negatives,” however, would never deter us from ever staying at Katherine’s condo again. Its fairly central location, reasonable price for the spaciousness it offers, and its peaceful environs more than make up for its few deficiencies. Katherine also offers a very generous cancellation policy, should the need arise. She is a lovely, attentive and gracious (though not on location) Airbnb hostess.

  • The condo is very clean, comfortable and spacious. We loved being able to spread out, and the three bathrooms are a definite plus. Although it is a bit of a drive to the attractions in Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes, the peaceful surroundings more than compensated. We climbed the ski hill just outside and were amazed at the beautiful views. We would definitely stay here again.

  • The space is much larger than it seems in photos. It is clean and there is room for family and friends to enjoy each other's company. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area.

  • Nice little place for a quiet getaway that's still close to Traverse City. Great trails for walking too.

  • The condo was in excellent shape and much more roomy than the pictures looked. There were bathrooms with both bedrooms plus one off the kitchen which is more than I expected. We felt much more comfortable than in a hotel with so many options for rooms to use for lounging together or by yourself. Very well stocked for any of our needs. I would recommend to anyone wanting a quite, comfortable retreat. Can't beat the price.
