“Explore the fields and taste the essence of Sunny Ridge Strawberry Farm at the largest producer of strawberries in Australia. Nestled in the beautiful hinterland of the Mornington Peninsula right in the heart of its thriving wine region, they welcome you to explore the fields and pick your own world famous Sunny Ridge Strawberries between the months November and May. Be tempted by their homemade fruit ice creams, heavenly berry inspired desserts and refreshments while relaxing in the cafe. ”

“Sadly the Ten Minutes by Tractor cellar door and restaurant suffered a catastrophic fire in 2018 and is in the process of being rebuilt. Just a 1.3km up the road though is Petite Tracteur, the sister restaurant and current cellar door for Ten Minutes by Tractor. I definitely recommend booking ahead for the restaurant, which is a delightful French bistro with wine list to match. The cellar door is open daily from 11am – 5pm and has one of the largest wine lists on the peninsula. If you’re getting a little too happy during your tasting, just move to the single vineyard wines.”

“Another of my favourite wineries a little more commercial but the tasting room is huge and tastings are free. Vast range and great prices. Outdoor area looks out onto the vineyards and has a great restaurant serving tasting platters and pizzas. Great for families too. ”

“Noel's Gallery is reinvented gallery space and cafe. The lightened interior and the spaces are full of paintings and jewelry; many from local artists. The paintings and giftware are a treat. Added to that, the deck is still one of the more sublime experiences in Red Hill; lovely relaxing views and the enjoyment of a snack and refreshments.”

“One of the hidden secrets of Mornington Peninsula Walks, this track showcases beautiful flora and amazing hinterland scenery. This is a circuit walk through a picturesque and tranquil reserve with bulrushes, tree ferns and maiden ferns. Start/Finishes:- at the track off Barkers Road. There is also an entrance on the Mornington-Flinders Road side. Distance: 3 kms (approx. circuit) Time to complete: 1-2 hours”

“The building at Ocean Eight looks as though it has been there since the late 1800’s, which is pretty amazing as it was only built in the 1990’s! The grounds are stunning - the gardener must be very busy – and the cellar door small and intimate. The wines are generally sold only via the cellar door, or direct to some of the best restaurants in Australia. As they produce quite small yields, there is a limit of how many bottles you can buy of each wine, which is a great excuse to buy across their incredible range. The pinot gris and chardonnay are the stand outs.”

“The T'Gallant Cellar Door – the home of Australian Pinot Grigio - is located on a former apple orchard nestled amongst the rolling hills of Main Ridge. With a large outdoor piazza overlooking the T'Gallant Estate Vineyard, wine tastings seven days a week and a menu full of classic provincial-style dishes including Roman style wood-fired pizza, it's the perfect place to gaze and graze and enjoy a taste of la dolce vita on the Mornington Peninsula.”
