The Farm Shack is a small brick outbuilding on our 16 acre historic property. Set close to the main house but separate from it. The Farm Shack has its own entry which you can drive close to. This is a great alternative to camping (only much more comfortable) for a couple or two friends. There is one queen bed. There are fold back glass doors which open to a private grassed area where you can relax under the almond tree around your camp fire. You will share the host's bathroom in the main house.
Your grassed campfire area is slightly raised and is bordered on one side by a remnant convict brick wall, and the other by a fence. You look out to the orchard and sheep paddock beyond. The morning sun shines on this private area and comes in through the glass doors of the Shack. Enjoy the farm yard view snuggled in bed with a cuppa or pull the curtains for privacy from the ducks chickens and geese! We have 16 acres with access and more on the adjacent back property for you to enjoy when you aren't out exploring the region. We have 3 dams/ponds. It is not suitable for pets as the Farm Shack is not fully fenced off from the rest of the property. BATHROOM: You DO NOT have your own bathroom. You will share our (your hosts) bathroom and toilet in the main house which is very close. We are on town water and it is safe to drink. Your bath towels, face washers and soap are supplied. KITCHEN FACILITIES: There is no kitchen access but you have your own outdoor covered food preparation area with a gas BBQ. I will do your washing up! Just deliver them to our back door in the container provided and you will get them back sparkling clean. There is a small fridge at your food preparation area. COOKING: There is a small gas BBQ for your sole use and we also supply your cooking equipment, and cutlery, plates, cups etc. COFFEE/TEA: You have an electric kettle and a toaster with coffee, tea and sugar in the Farm Shack right next to your bed. FOOD: You will have a supply of milk, coffee, sugar, tea and drinking chocolate, salt and pepper waiting for you. You will need to provide your own milk once you have finished your welcome bottle. The Farmshack is self catering. I provide enough for your first breakfast (bread/English muffins) to toast, weetbix, butter, milk and basic spreads. The Farm Shack is only 4 minutes drive from the small town of New Norfolk where you can buy supplies. There is a large Woolworths grocery store, an independent butcher in High Street, 3 pubs/hotels, 2 drive through liquor outlets, many cafes, bakeries, and take away shops including McDonalds and Subway. CLOTHES WASHING: I (your host) am happy to do a bag wash for you for $10/load washed and dried. I wash whatever you have put in the bag. I don't sort. TECHNOLOGY: There is WIFI but no TV. There are electric points for charging your devices in the Farm Shack. Internet access is free though the signal can be unreliable.
We are in the beautiful Derwent Valley in the South of Tasmania. Our property is 16.5 acres in the country but only a few minutes drive to a small town with all services. Hobart 35 minutes MONA 15 minutes Mt Field National Park 35 minutes The Salmon Ponds 10 minutes New Norfolk Town 4 minutes The Agrarian Kitchen Farm and Cooking School 15 minutes The Agrarian Kitchen Eatery and Shop 5 minutes Our property is only 4 minutes drive from the small town of New Norfolk where you can buy supplies for your stay as well as ice. There is a large Woolworths grocery store, an independent butcher in High Street, 3 pubs/hotels, 2 drive through liquor outlets, 1 bottle shop, many cafes, bakeries, and take away shops including McDonalds and Subway.
  • Lisa was a very hospitable host. The accomodation itself was very clean, and the views were breathtaking. We fed the sheep, chickens, ducks, geese and had many cuddles with the cats. We even made a campfire. Overall our experience was nothing short of amazing! Thank you Lisa

  • It’s the perfect little place to stay. Highly recommend

    Tim2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time in the barn! Lisa welcomed us very warmly and was always available when we had questions and gave us many tips for the area. A previous email from the associated B&B was a little confusing, as was the statement "breakfast included". Only a 1st small breakfast is included (as stated in the description). Also good to know: chickens live / stay in the covered kitchen area, so you really shouldn't be shy; D

  • Perfect getaway. Cosy. Lots of fruit trees and animals. Close to town. Loved the campfire with marshmallows. Lots of history too. We loved our stay and this is the quirkiest BnB we have stayed in so far. We will be back!!!

    Julie2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa is the most welcoming host. We immediately felt at home at the farm shack. The property itself is beautiful, complete with a plentiful orchard, a myriad of animals, and a lovely campfire. We will absolutely return, this is a gem of a place.

  • Trish & Norm are lovely hosts and their place is very comfortable with many thoughtful touches such as extra pillows, blankets, towels, a fridge with complimentary drinks, coffee etc kettle, tourist pamphlets. We were very happy with our stay. It was convieniently located to everything. It also smelt lovely and was sparkling clean. Thanks for having us!

  • A great little place to stay that is close to MONA. The host was very thoughtful and attentive to anything we needed during our stay.

    Danielle2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Patricia’s place is a convenient and comfortable place to rest after a day out doing whatever it is you want to do in Hobart. We found we could easily have walked to the MONA. It was also an easy drive to the CBD.

    Helen2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for letting us stay and looking after us

    Brendan2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Patricia and Norm's apartment was really homely. It was in a good location, a short drive outside Hobart centre. The bed was really comfy. There were amenities to make tea and have cereal the next morning. There were a few treats left out for us which were really appreciated. I would recommend staying here ☺️

Our charming cottage is close to parks, coffee shops, award-winning wineries, antique shops, The Agrarian Kitchen, National Parks, (15-20 minutes from) MONA, and (30 minutes from) Hobart. You’ll love our place because of its uniqueness: it's an historic kitchen quarters restored with modern conveniences. It's incredibly cosy: a pint-sized Georgian Cottage. Our place is ideal for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers looking for a welcoming and memorable experience.
The space is prepared to ensure your comfort - especially through Tasmanian winters - with safe, convenient and efficient electric heating, electric blankets on both beds, warm woollen blankets, and allergy-free doonas.
  • The unit was as described, lovely and cosy. Would happily stay there again. Many thanks

    Daniel2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy unique place to stay with a lot of little historic touches.

  • It was a special experience to stay in a cottage that represents so much history. Leyton is a fabulous host. I highly recommend a stay at Eliza's Cottage.

    Michelle2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is absolutely lovely, clean, well-equipped and exactly what it looks like on the pictures (which is not always the case on airbnb). Layton provided breakfast (toast, jam, butter, milk, orange juice, fruit, nuts) and even did the dishes for us. He was very helpful about where to go for a day trip and for food, the check in was easy, in total a great experience. I would highly recommend a stay at at Eliza‘s cottage and come back myself if I ever get the chance.

    Melanie2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • A unique, cute place perfect for a couple of days :)

    Valentina2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Eliza's cottage is a fascinating little building, if you are tall be prepared to stoop - it's all miniscule, but worth it! - Layton is a welcoming and respectful host - highly recommend.

    Rachael2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Layton's little cottage during our trip to Tasmania. A charming little cottage in the area of New Norfolk, on the outskirts of Hobart. The place was easy to identify and just a short walk from the town centre. Layton is a great host, and checked on us often to make sure that we were comfortable. We would easily recommend this place to others

Artistic open plan cottage with a cozy private garden with open air bath. View over park - morning sunrise. Walk to the CBD, Salamanca Place. Only few minutes walk to North Hobart renowned restaurant strip and State Cinema.
A former Crimean War veteran cottage 1884 made in to a bespoke cozy open living space. You'll love it if you want something unique.
Relatively quiet established city neighbourhood. Such convenient location :)
  • Would stay here again! Great location, hosts and space. Thank you

    Sophie2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely stay at Frank and Yvonne's with my mum for two nights while visiting from Melbourne. The cottage was brilliantly located just up the road from the city centre. The space itself is private, quiet, comfortable and well appointed. Nice hot shower, and beautiful outdoor space. Certainly had all the character and charm as promised!

    Natalie2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Unfortunately, I didn't stay long enough to enjoy the full suite of delights of Frank's place... private outdoor bath, selection of books, coffee machine and outside dining. I appreciated the modern and quirky touches set in an older cottage. For example, the bathroom had features that I might expect in a higher-end hotel. The cottage was small yet a long way off being cramped. I liked being able to watch the world go by out the front while also being able to remove myself from the hustle of traffic by stepping into the back garden. All up, my time at your home was pleasant, relaxed and delightfully comfortable.

    Julia2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • It’s like living in a piece of artwork for a few nights. Enjoyed the beautiful backyard with a little yoga session. Living room and the entire space is just a piece of artwork. The amenities preparation is very well equipped too. We managed to have a quick meet and greet with Frank during check out time which is great. It’s like meeting the artist. Highly recommend and we will be back for sure.

    Yen2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Frank's house is a real piece of paradise... ♥️

    Noemie2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Frank's place is unreal! It's even more amazing than the pictures show. It's very spacious and the garden area is lovely! Really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again. The bed was cosy. Highly recommend!

    North Hobart, TAS, Australia

Cosy studio in the quiet northern Hobart suburb of Lutana. A 12 minute drive to Mona, and the city is an easy 15 mins drive away. (Please note: it is not walking distance into city) The studio is nestled under the main house, with a private bathroom (shower, no bath) and private entrance. There is a microwave, toaster, kettle and small fridge, but please note there are no other kitchen facilities. The room looks out over a small reserve, with a fantastic view of Mount Wellington/kunanyi.
Street parking is available, and there is a short flight of stairs off the street (in case stairs are a problem). Basics like a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster are provided - but please note**There is no kitchen sink, only the bathroom sink for washing up.** The apartment was built in the 70s, so there is a little quirk! The door to the bathroom is a foldaway which you can see in the photo, works fine but might not be what you are used to! Currently there is NO TV available in the apartment.
  • Beautiful apartment that exceeded my expectations for this value! Finding the house and parking was easy and convenient. Check-in/out was simple with the lockbox and enjoyed the privacy throughout my stay. Danielle was friendly and quick to respond to messages, really appreciated the thoughtful little touches in the apartment! Amenities provided were more than adequate and everything was really clean. The view was great and I enjoyed the cute little garden right outside the door. Perfect place highly recommended for 1-2 people!

  • Just great. Location, price, cleanliness and then the generous breakfast in the fridge.

    Walter2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Danielle’s place was a perfect!! Great location for those with a vehicle, quick drives to downtown Hobart, the MONA and the airport. The breakfast provided was lovely, and made early morning adventures easy to launch. The bed was comfy and the space was spotlessly clean. We absolutely loved our stay here and would stay again if we get the chance to come back!

    Danielle2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Danielles place was cosy and sparkling clean A simple but appreciated breakfast of cereal and toast. And milk tea coffee provided Check in process was easy and Danielle made extra efforts to help accomodate our flight times etc Was quick with responses to any questions asked and helpful as could be Highly recommend

    Brad2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay at Danielle's place. The room is separate from the rest of the house so it's very private and quiet. The space was spotless and large enough for two. The pool/deck is a nice space for relaxing in the evening. The location is just north of the city and an easy 10 minute drive into central Hobart. I'd definitely recommend Danielle's place.

    Tim2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous little place a short bus ride out of the city. Danielle was lovely and extremely accomodating.

    Nathan2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome location, very close to the city. Good size studio with lovely views. Bathroom was immaculate.

    Yash2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Danielle’s place for 3 nights during Christmas and could not have found the better place. She made sure we had everything needed for our stay including the ease of checking in. The place was sparking clean and very convenient to travel around the Hobart.

We have this small unit we call Hobi-wan, with a great view, in Hobart's inner north and we love to share it with friendly travellers. Apart from the view, we love walking out of the house and into kunanyi/Mt Wellington Park. Out our door and into the forest! 4km to the NoHo strip - state cinema, restaurants & bars etc. 6-6.5km to Salamanca and Hobart CBD. 8km to MONA. We live here full-time and will hang out with you if you're up for it, or let you be if that's what you're after.
Bedroom is small but adequate with very comfy 120x200cm bed. We’d love to host more than 1 person but unfortunately we just don’t have the sweet setup for it. It's a bit chilly in winter but there's an electric heater available and it takes the edge off. The main living room and kitchen and balcony face the northern valleys coming down from kunanyi/Mt Wellington and get a lot of the afternoon sun! There's also a split system heater that helps when the sun goes down or doesn't shine. There's a shared bathroom that is old and dated but puts out great solar heated hot hot extra hot water. You can use the kitchen as you wish, and we're happy to share tea and coffee. We don't have a TV, we listen to music instead. Either on vinyl or via the new fan-dangled Sonos thing (it's awesome). You're encouraged to join in, we love discovering new music....and rare Bruce Springsteen covers. Hobi-wan is on top of a steep street, so bring your fitness game or a vehicle. There is off street parking available if you want it, and you can use the garage for storing a fancy bike or muddy hiking and camping gear. Also, there's a great view :)
Walking into the forest is absolutely the best thing about our neighbourhood, but road access to kunanyi summit and the main tracks is via SoHo and about a 25 minute drive. Glenorchy MTB Park is 4.5km away or you could ride there through the forest.
  • Great place to stay in Hobart

    Oleksandr2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed with Andrew and Cecilia during my week long stay Tasmania...what great hosts to compliment an amazing place. Great conversation, great music tastes, and amazing location. NOT to mention if you love hiking, Andrew is the only man to talk to in Tassie. I would def stay again!

    Dwight2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • You will not regret your stay with Cecilia and Andrew in Lenah Valley. Cecilia and Andrew are warm and friendly hosts with top tips for eating, drinking and sight seeing in Hobart. Their house is clean, neat, and super aesthetically pleasing with a 10/10 view all times of the day! A comfortable bed and room to retreat to. Easy parking on the street, near a bus stop and not far from the main city. Would recommend staying at this little gem if you're planning a trip to Hobart!

  • My partner and I had such high hopes for Hobart and our stay with Cecilia and Andrew contributed to knocking these expectations out of the park. The hosts were so welcoming, attentive and responsive and their place felt like a home away from home. We wouldn't stay in any other AirBnB should we come back to Hobart and 100% recommend them to everybody.

Check-in on Wed 4th March is from 6pm. Excellent location, a wonderful place to stay when visiting Hobart. Private, clean room underneath our house, views of river and established gardens. A peaceful spot to relax after sight-seeing. VERY comfortable double bed! **Please note self-check-in is through our garage. There may be a vehicle in the driveway but please just walk past it. There isn't a kitchen, but there is a microwave, kettle, toaster and mini-bar fridge, crockery and cutlery etc.
The room is very private and light, looks out onto a garden and also has a view of the river. Your room has a super comfortable double bed, plus a single bed. There is a wardrobe, heater, table and chairs and your own bathroom. There is a TV, microwave, kettle with tea and coffee, mini bar fridge, crockery and cutlery. Parking is on the street, however it is a very quiet, one way street with no night time traffic other than residents. Please note that our fur kid, Doug, uses the backyard during the day. When we are home and every night, he is mostly upstairs with us.
You will be less than a 10 minute drive to MONA and approximately 20 mins to Hobart. We are around 1 hr and 20 mins from Mt Field National Park.

A light-filled welcoming home full of books and art. Located centrally this turn of the century abode places you within walking distance of everything New Norfolk has to offer; antique & curio shops, cafes, pubs, the Derwent river and the Agrarian Kitchen. A perfect base from which to explore the rest of the region. Stefano Lubiana Wines & Derwent Estate Vineyard are 10 minutes by car, MONA and the Salmon Ponds are15, Mt Field National Park less than an hour and Hobart an easy 30 minutes.
I am a book-lover and artist and the aesthetic of the house is an eclectic mix of art deco meets cabinet of curiosities with a splash of surrealism thrown in. The rooms are full of beautiful and unusual objects that my sister and I have collected over the years as well as some of our own work. I am a photographer and my sister is a fashion and costume designer. The guest bedroom boasts a collection of hats all made by her and a number of my prints hang in the house.
Everything really is just around the corner! The house is situated 20m from the High street where most businesses are located. This intersection has a pubs on one corner and another just down from the corner, they both do counter meals and there is a bottle shop attached to each(no issues with noise or rowdiness though). Another 5m over this intersection is The Drill Hall, the most opulent of New Norfolk's famous antique shops, which is next to another smaller antiques place called New Norfolk Antiques. Just around the corner on High Street are Rose & Sons and 20th Century Artefacts., and across the road the wonderful Lady Strange(curios not antiques). Slightly further afield are the enormous Willow Court Antiques Centre (a 7 minute walk) and the Ring Road Antiques place (about 15minutes away). If you love a bit of a treasure hunt this is the town for you. There is also a great local market on High street every Saturday morning that seems to be growing every week. It's very unpretentious and there are great bargains to be had, as well as delicious bread, beautiful quality vegetables and cheap as chips plants. New Norfolk has a smattering of takeaway food places, mostly on High Street, but if you'd rather self-cater there is also a Woolworths right around the corner. There are currently 6 cafes and I have a more detailed information pack on the quality of their food and coffee in the house (too much detail to add here) There is a small park/ex-cemetery directly across the street from me and a larger park at the corner, 20m away. A walk down and along the Derwent river is an absolute must while you are here at anytime of year. There are a variety of different walks you can do from 20 minutes to over an hour and I have more detailed information on them at home for easy consultation.

  • We loved our stay! We were met by Lennie the cat and enjoyed a nice evening around the fire. Sophie gave us lots of local tips and tricks. We can’t wait to come back. Thanks again x

  • I had the most delightful stay here in Sophie & Juliet’s gorgeous cottage. Sophie was very hospitable and we had a lovely chat the night she was home. As for the house: roses in the garden, a very warm cosy bed, a lovely living area with a wood fire, a deep claw footed bath tub, well equipped kitchen and interesting art displayed throughout. The house is near the centre of town & the Saturday market, but also a short stroll to the river. I also drove to Mount field national park from New Norfolk a few times and the distance was very convenient. It was lovely to come back and soak in the bathtub after a day of hiking. Come stay here with Sophie- it will be the best stop on your trip 😀

    Emma2019-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at Sophie’s place. The place is charming and the bed really comfortable, we slept so well! • Phil and Zoe are probably the friendliest and most kind hosts we have ever stayed with and this fact alone would make this a 10/10 review. Their place however is also great! Huge room, lovely touches of fridge and little breakfast supplies in the room, v comfy bed, great wifi, big rainfall shower, AC/heater should you need it. They have a great kitchen with gas stove which guests are welcome to use (huge plus for us!) and the whole stay we were made to feel very welcome and at home. About 30 mins walk to town centre but opposite an amazing cafe and delicious deli nearby plus some other great eateries in the immediate vicinity so the location for us was perfect. Couldn’t recommend this place more highly and we feel so lucky to have stayed and met such wonderful people. Thanks Zoe and Phil!!!

  • Fantastic place to stay! Good location, 5 mins drive to city center. clean, cozy and spacious bedroom, even with some photos of celebrities like NBA star! Phil and Zoe are really friendly host, inviting their guests to have barbecue together! also love the friendly and lovely dog! Though we got to share a bathroom with other guests, it's still a good experience to meet new friends from different countries! All in all, such a great place to stay in Howbat!

  • We only had three nights at Phil and Zoe’s but we managed to see and do so much, thanks to our wonderful hosts. They were only too happy to help research and organise a day tour (at 11pm!). We also go to go mountain biking down Mt Wellington with Phil, which was a major thrill for a novice! It is also an easy walk into Hobart from their house. I couldn’t recommend these guys enough!

  • Mr. Larrie's house is very clean and comfortable. There is a small garden with a lake at the door. It just takes some time to get out of the city, and living in a house like this in Tazhou is really good. And the room has a lot of details worthy of praise. There is a full set of cooking stuff. You can cook directly after cooking. The hygiene is very clean. The toilet also has a drying rack. You can dry towels or small clothes. The couple is especially enthusiastic because Language communication is not very smooth, I think I can learn more about Hobart's life and local customs. freeking love it!

The unit is welcoming, well appointed, and centrally located. A quiet spot with convenient access to shops, restaurants and the beautiful riverside New Norfolk is renowned for. It is perfectly placed to explore both wilderness and city - Mona museum (15 mins) and Hobart City to the south (30 mins), and Mountfield National Park and the world class Maydena Bike Park to the west (40 mins).
A spacious, single storey unit with open plan lounge/kitchen area, bedroom, bathroom, courtyard and parking. It is situated in a quiet cul de sac in the town centre of New Norfolk minutes from shops, pubs, restaurants and parkland walks. Guests can clean bikes and outdoor recreation equipment in the court yard. There is a small shed with sufficient storage space for bikes. If you prefer to cook for yourselves the large Woolworths supermarket is just five minutes walk around the corner and the unit kitchen is fully equipped with stove, microwave and fridge freezer and kitchen equipment. A pod coffee maker, plunger and teapots are available for breakfast and hot drinks and the little courtyard behind the unit provides a great sunny spot to sit at the table and chairs and enjoy an outdoor drink. A washing machine, and indoor and outdoor washing lines, iron and ironing board are also available. There are a wall heater and a portable heater available in the unit for colder days and all windows are fitted with double blinds to provide shade from the sun on hot days and blackout blinds at night. Although the property is right in the town centre, it's in a little cul de sac so the area is very quiet and it's easy to get a good nights sleep. The unit is equipped with comfortable seating, dining table, a TV and everything you will need to relax. If you have a baby or toddler a travel cot with linen, a single stroller, highchair, small supply of books and toys and changing mat are provided.
New Norfolk is the last major township before the world class trails of Maydena Bike Park. The unit has a paved yard with a small shed, external water supply and hose pipe which provides a suitable area for cleaning and sorting out bikes. It is five minutes walk to the award winning Agrarian Kitchen restaurant and a variety of other eating venues including pubs, cafes, a Chinese restaurant and a number of fish and chip shops and takeaways. There are a number of scenic walks which can be accessed from the unit including a walk along the rivulet to the riverside walks where you can take a refreshing swim in the river on a hot summer day, or up into the green hills,of nearby Lachlan. Tynwald Park is approx 10 minutes walk and houses children's playgrounds, barbecue areas, playing fields and outdoor exercise equipment. For boating and fishing enthusiasts, the nearest river boat ramp is approx. 5 minutes drive from the unit. The town centre of new Norfolk is famous for its many antique shops, bric-à-brac centres, cafes and quirky little shops - all within five minutes walk of the unit. The wonderful Museum of New and Modern Art - MONA - is about 15 minutes drive from New Norfolk and another 15 minutes on will find yourself in the city centre of Hobart, with Mt Wellington, Salamanca, the Wharf, the Museums and all the attractions that this picturesque city has. Any direction out of Hobart will lead you to amazing long sandy beaches and little bays as well as scenic drives through rolling hills or you can choose from many wine tours that meander through the wine regions past many popular vineyards. If you head north from New Norfolk you will drive past many hop and fruit farms before quickly entering the ancient forests, lakes Anne wilderness areas of Central Tasmania. Boating and fly fishing are very popular in the Central; Highlands with a large number of lakes and rivers to choose from. It is possible to book guides and adventure tours to provide guided access to some of the more unusual areas and the activities they offer but there are also many bush walks and trails which support the more adventurous in accessing these areas themselves. Please remember that the Tasmanian Wilderness can be forbidding and dangerous to those not well prepared due to sudden weather changes and potentially harsh conditions. Make sure your trips are well planned and that you are well equipped if being more adventurous and always sign yourself in and out from the more challenging bush walk in the record books provided at the beginnings of the walks. We are sure you will have a fantastic time in Tasmania and hope that you will find our little unit comfortable and relaxing as you explore the area.U

  • Thank you for having us stay in your Earth House the past few nights! Craig and Adam were such easy hosts to communicate with before the trip and amazing while we were there. I would definitely recommend staying here to any friends or family that were travelling to Tassy. The suggestions offered to us for our time there were also a great touch and allowed us to do some extra things we would not have known about otherwise. If you are unsure about where to book and are here reading the reviews, look no further! Book this one!

  • We had a great time staying at Craig and Adam's guest cottage. We looked for a quiet, peaceful and comfortable accommodation that is a little outside of Hobart, yet not too far away to visit Mona, Hobart and the surroundings for a few days. Craig and Adam's place ticked all these boxes, so we were very happy that we found this! Craig and Adam are very friendly, everything is easy and uncomplicated. Craig was super helpful with recommendations and little tips where to go and what to see. Thanks Craig and Adam for making our Hobart visit very pleasant!

Austins Ferry has a European history dating back to 1813 when former convict James Austin was granted 50 acres of land. Here he established a cottage and farm. The cottage still stands today and is a 2 minuite walk from the apartment. Austin established a ferry crossing enterprise here that was to become part of the main transportation route between Hobart Town and the north of Van Diemen's Land. He became a wealthy man in the process. Be one of the first to stay at these tastefully appointed brand new villas on the outskirts of Hobart. Relax and unwind as you experience the tranquil bush setting, with magical views of the River Derwent, vineyards and distant mountain ranges. In summer, enjoy watching boats on the river and variety of wildlife that frequently pay us a visit. In winter, look out over the phenomenon known as the ‘Bridgewater Jerry’ and watch the mist hug the river as it floats down the valley towards Hobart.
Relaxing and comfortable self contained living spaces fitted with brand new modern appliances including free Wi-Fi and Nespresso coffee machine. Breakfast pack available for first morning. Off-street parking available.
Enjoy the convenience of being situated close to many of the attractions Hobart has to offer. Located approx. 20 minutes from the historical township of Richmond, 15 minutes from MONA, and the gateway to the beautiful Derwent Valley including Mt Field National Park. Both Coles and Woolworths are only 5 minutes away.
  • What an amazing visit. Corrine is a great host and has put so much love and effort into making her bnb feel like home. Every room has been thoughtfully designed for the perfect short or long visit. The views are breathtaking and it was so nice to be away from the hustle and bustle but still close enough for a quick trip into town. I can’t recommend this hidden gem more highly. We will definetly be returning again soon.

Our quirky little Studio Cabin in the garden, cosy & private, down a stepped brick path. Close to Tasmania's capital, Hobart, and ideal for short stays. Please note NO self check in/ Self-catering kitchen (BYO food). Queen bed, bedhead, drawers & bedside lamps. Hanging space & hangers on rolling rack, plus luggage shelf. NOTE en-suite bathroom is outside & down 3 steps, part of the charm. Visit & see for yourself! PLEASE NOTE: LIMIT 2 GUESTS - EXTRA GUESTS WILL BE REFUSED ENTRY.
Please also check our social media page - The Cabin on Elanore, and our wordpress blog. We also have a web page with wix. It's a private and quirky little space that we're sure you'll love. Not luxurious but comfortable and homely, and at one of the cheapest rates close to Hobart. Yes, you have to go outside and down the 3 steps too the 'facilities' but you can enjoy the garden while you do it! And there is a light for night trips. Cabin and ensuite with shower, toilet and basin, plus Tastic type heater lamp & fan. Kitchen annexe is down 2 steps - kitchenette with sink and drainer, hot and cold running water, 2 hotplates, microwave and fridge, plus pots, pans etc PLEASE NOTE: We DO NOT provide food. Tea, coffee and long life milk, plus condiments such as salt & pepper are in the cabin, but it is SELF-CATERING. The closest supermarkets are a 25-40 minute walk. There are closer local small grocery/take away food places, but they have limited stock and are far more expensive. You are welcome use your computer via our WiFi. Please note the WiFi is NOT reliable, it is due to the fact that the Cabin is, effectively, in a hollow, and that Tasmanian internet is not the same standard as the mainland. You may or may not be able to get a connection. No large down/up loads, please, as it is not unlimited. Table and chairs for relaxing in the nice spots in our garden to use your computer or tablet devices. The comfortable Queen bed is a Sri Lankan teak bedhead and base, with a proper mattress, plus two side tables with drawers. Much more comfortable for your stay than the previous futon bed incarnation's tendency to sag in the middle!
Glenorchy has a lot to offer. We have outlets for Coles, Woolworths (supermarkets) and BigW & Target (variety), plus Shiploads & the Reject Shop (discount store) for any shopping you might need. It also has 4 op shops for the op shop fiends, and there are others close by. There are quite a few restaurants and take aways, we recommend Yummy Inn for Chinese (dine in or take away) and TwoSkips for seafood (and they do pizzas but we haven't tried them). It is not far to North Hobart's famous dining strip, which also houses the State Cinema complex, with a number of small to medium size cinemas, a cafe and a bookshop, all in the old historic building. You can even take your glass of wine in to enjoy while watching the film.

  • We loved our stay here. The location is great. Close to restaurants, coffee shops, grocery store etc. Zoey was a wonderful host, giving us great tips on the local area hikes etc and so friendly each time we crossed paths. The unit is very private at the back of the house. We loved having our own couch and tv area in addition to the private station set up for breakfast making. We shared a bathroom with only two other long term guests and rarely crossed paths. Oh and the shower- the best!! So hot, perfect after our long cold hiking days. Highly recommend staying here!

  • Awesome place! Lots of personal touches, great location, and very comfortable. Would absolutely come back.

  • This place is great value for money. You are tucked away with amazing views as well as being right under Mt Wellington. But at the same time you are only 10 min drive from Hobart. It is the perfect location and the place itself was so cozy with a beautiful view from your bed. The host, Mieke was also very friendly and hospitable. I would definitely recommend.

    Sarah2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • An absolute must! Close to the CBD and all amenities, with everything you need within easy reach! Lovely private property, with great views of the city! We also had a wonderful opportunity to chat with Mieke, who gave us some lovely tips for places to see in the Huon Valley & Bruny Island. Would definitely recommend to friends!

    Natalie2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We have enjoyed our stay at Mieke's. The place has all the creature comfort we needed: very comfortable bed for a restful sleep, silence, fully equipped kitchen (no microwave oven, but it was not missed), clean bathroom amenities, and a warm welcome. We will certainly stay here again when we visit Hobart again. Next time, we'll make the best of our stay and take on the walking tracks of Mount Wellington!

Beautiful newly renovated 1 bedroom house with fantastic views. Located at the base of mount Wellington with multiple hiking trails through Tolosa park and mount Wellington literally across the road. Hike trails, visit the city of Hobart, or just stay in this romantic escape with a beautiful fireplace, internet and Netflix access, board games, bedroom balcony with views of the lake and mount Wellington, and a BBQ area, are just just some of the features you will find here.
    Whole house is yours
Multiple hiking trails including Tolosa park and mount Wellington. 5 mins from Glenorchy Town centre and 15 mins from Hobart CBD.
  • Great location. Easy to walk right on the North/South trail and explore all the amazing trails around Mt. Wellington. The home was very clean and had new, modern appliances. Very comfortable! Thanks for a great stay!

    David2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Really clean and good house. Me and my friends really loved this house.

    Minho2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • I had an absolutely marvellous time staying here. The place is a little rough around the edges (I had to run outside at night to move a corrugated metal sheet that was creaking against the fence), but aside from that it was a dream. The reason I booked this place was firstly to be close to Mt Wellington, and the walk from this house to the peak is absolutely magic. No other transport required, just out the door and into the bush. Because of Glenorchy's location, you're taken up a totally different network of trails than the tourists use. The other reason I wanted to stay here was to be close to Mona, and I walked there too. The place is stylish and well equipped, and the bed is as comfortable as anything I've slept on. Thanks for having me James, hope to be back!! Tom

  • It is an amazing place with absolutely everything you need. It is in a very convenient location to the cbd of Hobart. Highly recommended

  • Amazing place ☺️☺️☺️

    Princess2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our time at this house. James place is lovely and stylish. Would definitely recommend it. It’s got all the amenities you would need for a good week away or a holiday trip. The appliances and fittings are very modern and pretty advanced. the power points had glowing rings to show if it’s on or not and there was a power board that pops out of the kitchen bench which is pretty cool. There’s pull out kitchen mixer tap with two settings and I love having a dishwasher. Last thing you want is to wash dishes on your holiday. Although I’m not a coffee or tea drinker I appreciated that both were offered. And with a full kitchen with induction cooker stove, oven and microwave, the options for meals at home were plentiful. The kitchen has motion sensing lights around the bottom of the cabinets and along the support beam which is great. As it means you don’t have to turn the brighter lights on if you go for a late night snack or toilet break. the shower has a rain head as well as a removable one. Which I love as that’s the combo I have at home. So useful. The washing machine dries as well. So no switching between machines. And it meant I only had to pack half the clothes. There’s even strip lights around the mirror. All awesome ideas I want in my house one day. Having a heater and fan gives some options for comfort. But there was some particularly hot days while we were down and the thermals in the house really weren’t comfortable. We ended up heading out to spend the time in other air conditioned areas. Honestly those sort of days are few and far between in tassie so shouldn’t be a problem most days. There was a large tv in the lounge room and a smaller one in the bedroom. We love ourselves some Netflix so they both got some decent work. Although the internet was occasionally patchy and sometimes nothing will load at all. But majority of the time it was passable. We had patchy reception on our phones too but we’re only with Optus. There was of course some oddities. As happens when setting up a place. The toilet paper holder was in a bit of difficult spot to reach. The bathroom light switches were only accessible after closing the door and there were some kitchen lights that couldn’t be turned on without opening the freezer first. There were also a fair number of holes in the plaster work. Which I wouldn’t usually mind but I think it led to us getting a decent number of bugs like moths. There’s a surprising amount of space in the house for such a small building. I loved the addition of board games. Something many overlook. We spent countless hours playing uno or one of the other games together. The bed was quite comfortable and plenty big enough. In conclusion. No place is perfect. But for the price James’ is one of the best value places I’ve been.

Tucked away in the foothills of Hobart's Mount Wellington, we offer you luxurious seclusion, only minutes away from some of the best attractions in the area. Our place is super quiet and surrounded by nature with beautiful views of the Derwent River. Architect designed, the house is built with quality modern fittings seamlessly matched with traditional timber joinery. With no visible neighbours or nearby buildings it's hard to believe you're only 15 minutes from the city centre.
Your ensuite is nice and roomy with views over the Derwent river and forested foothills. There is a private balcony where you can enjoy a local wine or a quiet cuppa. The living and dining room is also available for general use and there is lots of surrounding nature if you need some quiet time. The room is lined with acoustic insulation with double glazed windows making it very quiet. This also ensures the house is warm in winter and cool in summer, just the way it should be.
  • Very hospitable and a very nice host. Amazing view from the house and a very respectful dog.

  • Great secluded location, close to MONA and with easy access to city. Finn is a very welcoming host and his home is light filled and very clean. Also the bed is super comfy and the balcony is perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine, wallaby spotting after a long day enjoying everything Hobart has to offer.

    Brett2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Finn was a wonderful host and went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. He gave us many tips on what to do and see around Hobart, and the view from our room was beautiful. Ponyo the very friendly whippet was yet another highlight of our stay. The location can be a little difficult to get to without a car, as it is some distance from the buses and in a hilly area, but I would definitely stay again and can’t recommend Finn’s house enough to everyone else.

    Monica2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • A spacious room with an amazing view. We were highly satisfied with our stay at Finn’s Eco Home. It is located in a beautiful mountain top, just 15 min away from the city, close to everything Hobart has to offer. The house is complete with all facilities required for a comfortable stay. The room is spacious with a clean en suite and a balcony with a scenic view which you we enjoyed very much. It was very easy to communicate with Finn and he was very responsive to messages and accommodating to our requests. If you are looking for a place to stay for a few days in Hobart Finn’s home is highly recommended. Five stars all around!

    Shehan2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The room was comfortable and well-stocked with everything we needed. The house is gorgeous and felt absolutely luxurious for a relatively affordable stay. Might take a little to find the place, but the location is otherwise fairly convenient if you have a car. The host is lovely and provided us with anything we needed.

    Jamie2020-01-12T00:00:00Z

  • Absolutely wonderful. Lovely hosts and one of the best stays imaginable. On the Airbnb rating system where five stars is the norm, this is a ten. Merci Greg et Patricia!

  • Greg and Patricia are super hosts for all reasons. Our late check-in was not a problem at all for them. Greg showed us to the cottage, lit up the old style wood fire which helped us to have sound sleep in this beautiful cosy cottage with comfortable beds and nice shower. We woke up to a nice bush land view that the property sits on. Staying at Bridge house was the perfect starting point to explore Mt. Field National Park. Greg's tips helped us explore more flora and fauna in the National Park. Home made bread and other breakfast options and a large book collection are part of this couple's great hospitality. Top notch. Thanks Greg & Patricia!

  • We had a fabulous stay in a very cosy environment. The queen bed room is fantastic: very comfy mattress, soft linen and electric blanket, walk-in wardrobe... Everything is very convenient and well thought for guests with disabilities, they have certainly put a lot of thoughts on how to accomodate everyone’s need. We really enjoyed the brownies on arrival, and felt at home with a little extra. The little deck was very inviting too, on a sunny day with the beautiful garden, flowers and butterflies. Thanks for your hospitality, we had a very pleasant stay, and definitely recommend the place to anyone travelling to Hobart!

  • This place is tops! We can’t recommend it highly enough. Stunning location, cosy and comfortable hut. We couldn’t ask for more, thanks for sharing such a special place with us. You do need 4wd to access hut as the hill was steep. Krzysztof was able to transport us and our luggage on arrival and departure and we enjoyed the 10min walk up and down the hill to come and go as we pleased during our stay.

  • Charlie’s hut is a beautiful spot, pretty, peaceful, private and authentic. The hut has been done up very stylishly and spotlessly clean but you are still remote and get a true taste of rustic living....glamour cabining really. Great place to unwind and explore and relax in nature. The creek outside is absolutely charming.

    Carolyn2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • What a stylish and beautiful setting that offered a complete unplug from the pervasiveness of the internet and city life. Well designed and thoughtful space with all the comforts in the most picturesque place. I can’t remember the last time there was space to read the paper, play board games with my son or simply sit on the balcony to take in the spectacular view! Waking up to that vista every morning was wonderful. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality and care we’d love to get back to you again.

    Cindy2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Charlie’s Hut is a beautiful place to escape to - a secluded little slice of paradise. Kids had a great time clambering over rocks exploring the creek and adults enjoyed the peace and tranquility. A perfect escape.

  • Lovely warm cozy cabin in a beautiful remote location. Sit and let nature come to you by the stream. Great place to get away from it all, and the wood fire oven was a treat to cook in. Bring some nice food and good company and you won't want to leave.

Be one of the first to stay in these tastefully appointed brand new villas on the outskirts of Hobart.
  • A modern, clean and beautiful self-contained studio with fantastic views down along the Derwent River, and just a 20 minute drive into Hobart. I particularly appreciated the quiet location, off-street parking and stylish decor. I will happily stay there again. Thank you Corinne for a lovely stay.

    Sarah2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Corinne’s place was in an absolutely stunning location. Beautiful views through the valley and over the river. The place was brand new and was designed and built well. Everything we required was there and Corinne was very helpful. Would highly recommend. Thanks!

  • Corinne’s villa was one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve ever had. We used the villa as a base to explore Hobart and a number of day hikes in Mt Field and Tasman National Parks. We would come back of an afternoon to such a relaxing environment, knowing everything was taken care of. It had a great kitchenette, that was well stocked with anything we needed and good quality appliances. Although we didn’t use it, there was a bbq on the deck with a beautiful view down the river. A lot of care has been taken with the interiors, with personal touches and small details throughout. We slept so well, it’s very quiet and has a really comfortable bed. Also a great shower, and everything was very clean and good quality. Corinne was really easy to get in touch with, and was always prompt to reply. Ultimately it offered us the chance to switch off and recharge. The villa is sited perfectly, with a beautiful view straight down the River Derwent, seen from both the bedroom and living. There is a second villa next door, and the main house nearby, however you wouldn’t even know they are there as they can barely be seen from inside. With this level of privacy we felt like we were on our own retreat. If needed though, a some shops are only 5min away. We would definitely book again, it was a wonderful stay.

Only 10mins to MONA and 20mins to the City, Sanctuary on Springfield is situated on a main outlet to both. A 70's style building that houses but a beach house feeling inside. Modern and relaxed.
Situated on the 2nd floor, you will enjoy your own Juliet balcony with views of Mt Wellington. Quiet and comfortable.
Near to local cafes, shopping centres and Art Centre.
  • Highly recommend Kathryn's apartment, was the perfect place to come home to after a long day or working and checking Hobart out.

Our unique tiny house of approx 12 sq metres has a loft double bed, bohemian feel and old school fitout. Separate shared bathroom. Freshly washed good quality linen and towels supplied. Parking at the door, level access, ladder access to sleeping loft double bed.
Constructed of a mix of new and recycled materials in the style of a cherry pickers hut.. insulated and seperate from the main house on level grassy land near the creek and river.. rabbits, fruit trees, native trees attracting birdsong every day..
Surrounded by public parks and gardens.. disc golf course, riverside walks, restaurant next door
  • A simple, cozy, warm, and welcoming space. Thank you for having us!

  • So cosy and charming. Can not fault this beautiful little house at all. Kelvin is a superstar too, lovely dude

    Joshua2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Adored this space! Well-equipped (including mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and gas cook top), super comfortable sleeping space (accessed via ladder), very clean share amenities and so reasonably priced! A proper tiny house experience, would definitely recommend. I walked to MONA and could get groceries on the way back, awesome location. Thanks again Kel - hopefully I can stay again one day.

  • This cute little rustic hut in a backyard in the suburbs is exactly as described by Kelvin on the website and nicely priced. The ideal spot if you're on a road trip wanting a privacy break from hostels or a weather break from camping. Super cute and a classic Tassie experience.

The bedroom & bathroom are new & separate from the main house. There is an entrance through a side gate to the room. 10 to 15 minutes (8 kms) from the city centre but close to the bush, the best of both worlds. Easy access to Mountain walks.
The bedroom and bathroom are across the lawn attached to my studio separate from the house with a private entrance. Brand new, comfortable with queen size bed.
Cascades is in the foothills of Mount Wellington, with Organ Pipes the view from the deck. If you are into walking just 5 minutes down the road will have you in the bush and on one of many trails criss crossing the mountain. Its almost in the bush but the city is only 8km down the road.
  • This was a very easy stay. The place is great and Joanna made it all be so easy. My kids loved the presentation of the breakfast.

    Paola2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • So easy to get to the city and Mt. Wellington from here. Very comfortable. Really enjoyed staying here.

    Pamela2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Joanna's place is a little oasis of paradise! After travelling with a van (which was amazing but not that comfortable to sleep in) for three weeks, this was the perfect end of our trip. Super cosy, clean, intimate and with great amenities (Joanna will leave some lovely food for your breakfast, well, you can eat it whenever you want!), the room is just perfect. Joanna is kind and discreet, which make her a great host :)

  • Place is small, as you would expect for the price, but great value.

    Peter2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay a lot! The accommodation is perfectly located between city center of Hobart and mount Wellington. We had much privacy because the room plus bathroom is separated. In addition, the check in worked very well. It was very clean. Also, we didn’t expect breakfast and were positively surprised because Joanna provided brekkie. Very nice Place and good value for money!!

This quaint, 1920s cottage is ready for your holiday in the heart of the beautiful Derwent Valley. It has a wood heater in the main living area and firewood in provided. Views from the breakfast bar and deck look out over the Derwent Valley and Mt Field National Park. In renovating this property we have utilised rare and specialty Tasmanian timbers including Tasmanian Blackwood, Tasmanian Oak, Celery-top Pine and Blackheart Sassafras.
This home can sleep up to four people (two queen size beds) and has two bathrooms, one with a bath tub. The laundry has a washer and dryer, and the cottage sized kitchen has all the equipment you need to cook meals, including a small pantry containing basic condiments. There is a wood heater in the main living area and both bedrooms have plug-in heaters. All bed sheets, towels and shampoo/soap are provided for guest use. The Blackheart sassafras breakfast bar and the deck look out over the Derwent Valley and Mt Field National Park where you can see mountains peaked with snow in winter (and sometimes summer!). Mt Field National Park is a 45 minute drive away, the Derwent Valley Community Garden or the Saturday morning markets where you can find fresh, Tasmanian produce are within walking distance or a two minute drive and all other amenities (Woolworths, service station, pharmacy etc) are located around New Norfolk main street. As we are located within the Derwent Valley in southern Tasmania it does get cold during autumn and winter (and sometimes summer). We have also kept the original, polished Tasmanian Oak floorboards throughout this property instead of covering it with carpet. Please take this into account when staying during cooler weather. We find a warm pair of socks and a jumper never go astray while in Tasmania.
New Norfolk was established in 1806 and around the small, Tasmanian town you will see lots of lovely examples of houses from the years gone by. New Norfolk is known as a center for great Tasmanian food and beverages as we have the Agrarian Kitchen, Two-meter Tall Brewery, Stefano Lubiana winery and more. Mt Field National Park and the Maydena Mountain Bike Park are a short drive away, and from New Norfolk you can drive through to Tasmania's wild west coast towns of Strahan and Queenstown, and the Cradle Mountain - Lake St Clair National Park.
  • Highly Recommended if you want a cosy comfy quiet house close to town. Beds and showers well appointed. Lots of cooking ingredients and books left to share. Would have preferred some fresh milk, OJ and brekkie stuff to start us off. Air con was too noisy to use for any length of time, but fortunately Tassie's lovely cool weather kicked in after the first hot muggy day and we were fine. New Norfolk and surrounds is a terrific historic area to explore and we had a great holiday. Thank you.

  • This is a great base for touring the south. Practical arrangements were easy and it felt like staying in someone's home- nice touches like washing powder etc available. The place was clean, convenient and as advertised on the web site.New Norfolk has a large supermarket and the usual basic shops so its easy to keep stocked up. There is a lovely view of the Derwent Valley from the picture window and terrace.

  • Perfect little spot to get away. Nice and homely and very accommodating hosts. Highly recommend!

Host Andy will ensure you have an enjoyable isolation experience with fun activities. Activities include reading, gardening, arts ( painting or drawing), crafts (wood or leather work) or yoga/pilates and unlimited internet. Joel said "Amazing place to stay and a very friendly owner!"
Guests have exclusive use of the large bedroom with large private ensuite (Bath, shower-over-bath and toilet). Guests also have shared use of the generously sized kitchen, 2 living areas and private garden and courtyard. Laundry facilities are available.
South Hobart is renown for its inner city proximity combined with the tranquillity of the foothills of Mount Wellington. Very close proximity to Cascade Brewery, Hobart Rivulet Lineal Park and Ginger Brown for excellent coffee.
  • We appreciated that Andy let us ci early as we’ve got 2 big suitcases. His place is really clean and spacious, you will not be disappointed. Recommend to others.

Can sleep up to 5. Comfortable neutral decor that complements the outside bush setting. Quality bed linen, towels and personal needs.
Almost a secret location in a dead-end street. Private entrance to spacious downstairs carpeted area of my home (I live here). Sleeping arrangements - QS bed with en-suite, DB sofa bed for single or couple in the spacious living area, single bed in adjoining small room. Hobart is a hilly leafy city with great views of river and mountain. Walking distance to CBD about 20 minutes, waterfront and short bush walks close by. So bring your walking shoes. Off street parking in my carport. A restful area after a hard day of sightseeing, with own entrance, deck and spacious lounge area. Quality bed, linen and towels. Sit and watch the bird life and pademelons. No kitchen but a microwave, bar fridge and kitchenette setup. There is a TV & great wifi. Message me regarding sleeping arrangements if unclear. This is strictly a non smoking property- no exceptions.
Please note: This side of West Hobart is hilly, if you are a nervous or novice driver you may find it challenging in a hire car. Added bonus is great bush views to river and city surrounds. My property is located at the end of a dead end street, for some difficult to find. Refresh yourself with the photos on my listing to make it easier. Reasonably close to local eateries, 2km to city centre. Quiet setting suitable for all types of travellers and business people.
  • Mary’s place was as expected. Be aware that she lives upstairs so if at home you can hear moving around, tv etc but she is not intrusive at all and very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend the location and staying here.

    Katrina2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Mary was very kind and allowed us to place our heavy luggages way before the check in time so that we can roam around Hobart without our luggages. She is also very friendly and very responsive to our Enquiries! Thank you for the wonderful stay, it really felt like home in another country. We also got to see wild life right outside our front porch.

    Andrew2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Mary was lovely and her place was perfect for our trip (two friends travelling together). There were lots of thoughtful touches such as sunscreen, breakfast supplies and brochures for nearby attractions. The location is gorgeous and the local wildlife were a treat. A nice stroll to the city and less than $10 in an Uber home if you don't feel like walking back up the hilly streets after a day of sightseeing!

    Andrew2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Mary, you were a great host and we hope we treated your house OK! Your house is in a nice place with a beautiful view, and the house itself is very cosy to its guests.

  • Mary's place exceeded expectations. It was clean and spacious and we loved the addition of breakfast included. Mary was quick to respond and let us know about road works near the house so we were prepared on arrival. Excellent host and loved our stay!
