“This fast-food joint in the middle of Magharibi Plaza is popular with the university students who study nearby. They sell food that Kenyans love: chicken wings and bajias (seasoned, battered, and fried potatoes). The food is really good, and prices are low. Chicken wings and fries cost about KES 400. And it’s in a nice, airy atrium with a few tables if you want to eat in. The Szechuan chicken wings. They’re sweet and sour at the same time and come with bell pepper strips.”
