  • Was a little hard to find, but located right where George said it would be. Upstairs over business in a quiet area. Loved the automatic motion detected lighting on the stairway. Nice size unit kept clean and stocked. Perfect place for easy access to ferry shuttle and downtown. I would not be comfortable walking back after dark, but no problem walking to and from here in daytime. Thanks for a great place to stay George.

    Pat2017-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was amazing and in a perfect location. George was very accommodating.

  • This was a nice place in Mackinaw City. It is above a business, but quite quiet. The room looks as described. It is Spartan, dog friendly, and close enough to walk to Central Avenue or the ferries. This combination makes it particularly nice. It is a large studio-type room with a couch pull out and a queen sized bed. Both were comfy and suited our family of 4 along with our pet. George was pretty quick to respond to questions we had. Given that you can stay 4 people at this great location near downtown, why pay more to sleep less people in a hotel?

    Ryan2016-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for the price. Owner is very helpful and welcoming, and it is close to many local attractions. Can't beat it for the price

    Dominick2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a little trouble finding it but George answered his phone to give us directions. The room was spacious clean and quiet. We walked to the ferry and walked after dark and felt very safe. It was a good value, would recommend it to others.

2 bedroom cozy apartment . Close to many Upper Peninsula attractions such as Mackinac Island, Dark Sky Park, Soo locks, Tahquamenon Falls & Pictured Rocks.
Mackinac Crest is a quaint little place to relax in and a wonderful central location for your exploring agenda of many eastern U.P. attractions.
Nice neighborhood, friendly neighbors. Safe with police officer living 3 doors down.
  • Second time in this place in less than a week. Is excellent. The host left another gift receipt for us!! Is very comfy, clean and cozy. It was the perfect place for my family, we'll be back here for sure.

    Nancy2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • The space was wonderful for my husband and I. It had everything we needed: a fridge, microwave, dishes, nice seating area to relax in the evening. A nice surprise I wasn't expecting was that the clawfoot tub has been converted into a shower. Kim was a very nice host. She was a great communicator and answered any questions we had in a very timely manner. On Saturday evenings after July 4th there are weekly fireworks and we were able to sit on the front porch and watch them, which was also a nice. Very close to the ferry lines and downtown St. Ignace. All in all a great value for the price.

    Rachel2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Neat. Clean. Modern. Close enough to walk to shops nearby. Kim communicated well and our stay was quiet and nice. Was very close to the ferry lots so was quick and easy to get there to go to Mackinac.

    James2017-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Kim's place was one of the best airbnb experiences I have had. It is very close to the ferrys to get to the island and is close to many restaurants and shops, it is all within walking distance. She was available for any questions we had. The place was clean and had a great set up, including dishes in the kitchen area. Kim would be my first pick if I am in the area again!

    Ashley2017-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • It is such a lovely place! First our host left us a handwritten thank you card and a gift card for food. And then woke up to realize you could see the water from the front porch, such a lovely surprise! (We checked in way past dark). I sat and drank coffee on the porch and watched some boats on the water. As well as the cute neighbor dogs sun bathe and a beautiful orange butterfly. I used the claw foot tub as well which was wonderful. I wish our trip had been for more nights, but for the price, who can beat, 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen and a water view!

    Tiffany2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Close to the ferry lines and the waterfront of St Ignes. Nice little apartment on the top floor of an older home. Everything was clean and well maintained.

  • The house is absolutely beautiful and the view could not be better. It was hard to leave the serene setting with a view of the bridge. The owner was great to work with and very responsive. Overall a great experience that I highly recommend.

  • This home is worth every penny!! The pictures give you a taste, but the real thing only makes the pictures better - what you see is what you get! Thank you for an amazing week and we are all planning on another trip together or separately with our own families!

  • Staying in Mackinaw was so wonderful! Diane was very attentive and even made sure we had power when a storm came through on Christmas Eve.

    Haylee2015-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay here! We came over Thanksgiving, and we were lucky enough that it snowed several times. The kids LOVED playing in the snow and watching it come down over the lake. This house has a magical setting. It is peaceful and cozy with a spectacular view. It is close to everything we wanted to do in Northern Michigan. We would love to come back in the warmer months to play some more!

  • Very nice vacation house, very good service.

    Delun2017-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful lakeside place that offered the comforts of home. It is a well tended, super clean place that is located close to so many interesting things: Dark Sky Park, historic light houses, fudge and the water! The night view of the Mackinaw Bridge is fantastic. We didn't want to leave.

    Ann2016-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • This house has the best view of the bridge and an awesome patio which is right on the lake and includes a fire pit, two adirondack chairs and a two seat swing. It also has a nice size back yard where we did corn hole and tossed a football with our grandson. It has a spacious common space for eating inside and an additional deck with a table and seating for 6. The neighborhood was quiet with quaint homes/cottages on the same street. We plan to rent again next year. The only negative is it only has one TV,

    Sherri2017-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • The house has excellent location. We couldn't get enough of the view. It could have been better stocked with supplies though, especially the kitchen with basic things like coffee, proper knives, etc. We faced some issues with the heating but I guess they hardly have guests in winter so it's alright. The owner was very nice when we reached out to her regarding the heating. The caretaker was not around but it wasn't difficult to reach her. A good stay. Definitely recommended just for the view.

A cozy second floor room located just steps away from the Grand Hotel Woods restaurant/bar/golf course and The Inn at Stonecliffe. Enjoy a beautiful view of Lake Huron from the room's private deck.
The room is situated on the west bluff overlooking St. Ignace and the Straits of Mackinac. • This place is perfect if you are looking for a little peace and quiet after a day in town. The condo was a little further out of the way than we expected, but was completely manageable with bikes. The room itself has all you need, and deck is perfect for watching the sunset. Kelly is extremely helpful and makes your stay comfortable.

    Lauren2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • I recommend staying at any of Kelly and her husbands locations. They made me feel like family, helped me through the Whole trip, with everything, and the condo that we stayed in was clean, comfortable, modern, and beautiful. 10/10 experience and that's coming from a picky person thank you for everything guys I highly recommend!

    Trey2017-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place was great - clean, gorgeous view, so quiet ... amazing! As other reviews have stated it's off the beaten path and you WILL be biking or walking a lot. But, my husband and I like that so it worked out perfect. Kelly was a great host, communicator and was so kind to let us use her bikes. Thank you! We intend to come back!

    Stephanie2017-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had an awesome time at Kelly's Air BnB! We got to explore a part of the island we had never been to before. Everything was clean and very thoughtfully organized and very cutely decorated! It was a great value and the bed and pull-out couch were very comfortable! Kelly was very flexible with our plans throughout the weekend and we will definitely stay here again!

    Emily2017-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly's place was very nice, especially for the price. Although a little further from town, it was very quiet and relaxing. We appreciated the bikes provided. Kelly was great at communicating with us and responded promptly to messages. The check-in process was easy, especially since we arrived a little bit later.

    Sarah2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly's place is a beautiful, comfortable studio-like apartment for your stay on the island. Because so much of the island's activity is around the Main Street area, this apartment can feel secluded. We were searching for this type of rental given that we were traveling with small kids and wanted to explore the island via hiking most of the time. I would highly recommend a bike or bike trailer for travel with kids. 2 adult bikes were available for our use through Kelly. A walk to town is a quiet 1.5 miles or a 30 minute carriage taxi ride. We found the quiet and forest-like atmosphere felt like a vacation more than being close to shopping/dining. We highly recommend eating at the Stonecliffe Inn, it has a full menu and beautiful views of the straights. This apartment has just the right about of amenities, a fridge for small food items, a microwave and access to water. We found buying some groceries from town and bringing some snacks to be worth the effort due to the location of this apartment. The room is decorated beautifully and came with comfy bedding. We had just the right amount of space for 2 adults and 2 kids sleeping in the apartment. We had a great vacation and highly recommend this apartment!

    Erika2017-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly was a great host, easy check-in, great communication and the room was exactly what we were looking for. I would definitely recommend Kelly's place to anyone looking to stay on the island!

  • Every time we visit the Mackinac Island... our 17th visit over 25 years, we have found a different place and way to enjoy this treasure. This place made the Island a more secluded place away from the traffic of everyone that visits. The view of the sunset inspiring. The comfort and cleanest is the amoung the best on the Island.

We live in a mid-century ranch style home on the hill overlooking the Saint Ignace harbor and Lake Huron. We are a 5-10 minute walk to all ferries which service Mackinac Island. And a 10-15 walk to shops, museums and restaurants. Complementary full breakfast served each morning. Fireworks over the harbor every Saturday evening between July 4th and Labor Day. Please note your GPS will not be accurate, when your GPS says 'you have arrived', you passed our home back up the hill.
It is a quiet, comfortable room with a queen mattress. There is a TV, wifi, small refrigerator, a desk and a closet with hangers. The closet also has an iron and ironing board stored inside. We have a hypo-allergic, non-shedding dog, who does not go into the guest room and will not be around our guests.
The sidewalk ends at our house, so please feel free to park off the road, up on the sidewalk parallel to the street.
  • Kathy provided quick and detailed responses from booking to check out. She provided great suggestions and upon arrival a map of the area, brochures for the ferry and local restaurants, attractions, and transportation. Kathy and her husband were great hosts, we enjoyed talking with them. The room and bathroom were clean, bed was comfy, and a key and key code were provided so we could come and go easily. Breakfast was delish and you couldn't beat the harbor view as you ate. Location felt safe and transportation was easy, just a 10 minute walk to the ferry then a 15 min ferry ride to Mackinac Island. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful, relaxing get-away here and look forward to visiting again!

  • This place is the secret to having the best time up north. Walking distance to everything, hosts with tons of reccomendations, breakfast in the morning that is out of this world, and lovely company in the evenings around the fire. I can't say enough about how wonderful this stay was!

  • Kathy and her husband were wonderful hosts on our short two day stay in St. Ignace. She welcomed us into her home, made sure we were taken care of with everything we could possibly need, and gave us great advice on restaurant locations as well as seeing Mackinac Island. Plus the breakfast in the morning on the deck overlooking the harbor was incredible!! We could not have asked for a better place to stay and are hoping to visit again in the future.

    Elizabeth2016-07-10T00:00:00Z

  • All around it was a great experience. When we first showed up we were a little concerned because it is right next to a cemetery but the location is far enough back into the woods that it you don't even notice! It is a short walk through the grass to the water where you can see the bridge. A very short drive to any of the ferries to the island. Nice rustic decor on the inside - very much an up north feel. Very clean and well put together.

  • This place is fabulous. It is as described, and even better. The owner has provided every possible item you could need. I was not expecting to be able to see the lake from the house, but you definitely can. In the upstairs bedroom you can step out onto the balcony and hear the waves. It is only a few steps out to the fire pit area where everything you need for a bonfire is located. Too bad it was raining and cold while we were there :-) fortunately the heat in the house kept us warm and toasty. The bed was great as well. This is truly a five star property.

  • This condo is on the second story of a two story building on a bluff overlooking the Straits of Mackinac. Pictures accurately represent the furnishings and amenities. Nice little fridge, but no microwave or cooking options. Kelly is responsive to texts and emails. This was our first time on Mackinac Island. It is unlike any other vacation destination I have experienced. No cars, only horse and buggy transport. This condo is located in secluded woods 1.7 miles from town. So to get to town your options are to walk, ride a bike (graciously provided by Kelly), or arrange for a horse and buggy "taxi" at $7 per person (allow 30 minutes for taxi to arrive, and a 30 minute taxi ride into town). Or you could ride the "Stonecliffe Shuttle" buggy with departures scheduled to town on odd-numbered hours and from town on even-numbered hours. (Also $7). But if you want to make multiple trips to town per day, or to take field trips to other parts of the island, you should be confident in your ability to ride a bicycle. We used the bikes provided by Kelly. They were outfitted with fenders. So you can dress up for your evening at Grand Hotel and arrive on bikes. There are plenty of people riding bikes around town in nice clothes. Treat it like an adventure. There is a short trail that drops you down from the condo to the "rim road" that circles the island. You can put together a nice run (of any distance) on paved roads and/or trails leaving from the condo. You can bike the 8-mile rim road (remember, no cars) and head inland from a couple spots on paved roads to explore the island's interior. The island is heavily forested. If you want to explore the trails, bring bug spray. The bugs will not be too bothersome if you keep moving. The town itself is extremely cute with great architecture. Overall, Kelly's place is a great introduction to Mackinac Island, and it is certainly on the more affordable side.

    Frank2017-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly's spot was fantastic, and so was she! We are so grateful to Kelly for being flexible with our check in time (we missed the ferry!) and for lending us bikes for our weekend. I was on Mackinac for business as a wedding photographer, and having the bikes made my day so much easier - and one less thing to worry about! I just wish I'd had more free time to enjoy the patio overlooking the straits.

    Katherine2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful condo located in a quiet wooded area about two miles out of the island town area. The condo is fresh and fully equipped and stocked as any leading hotel room. The hosts, Kelly and Scott, were wonderful and fully attentive to our needs and comfort. The location of the condo is a bit of a problem if you only have a couple of days on the island and expect to see a lot while you are there because travel to and from the condo to the town area and fort is primarily by horse-drawn carriage taxi and takes about 40 minutes each way. And, unfortunately the taxis are not always readily available, so there is time lost waiting. For younger guests, bicycles or walking are also options. The condo is ideal for longer stays because you can retreat to the freshness and quiet serenity of the northern woods to relax after a busy day. Two superb restaurants are located just a few feet away for evening dinners. The stars shine brightly in the northern sky at night. Overall, a superb place to stay.

  • This is a very nice condo up in the "residential" area. Beautiful homes all around. Nice ride up the hill. Taxi takes a while so allow time. Use the "Stonecliff" area shuttle. I think it runs evety hour.

  • This home is quintessentially Mackinac, right down to the sunrise lighting up the bright poppies. We could walk just about everywhere (even the IGA, or whatever it is now, if we really wanted to) in town and it was a pleasure to return to "the house" after a day spent exploring. It was also convenient for taking one of the Shepler's ferries to the island, since their dock is right across the street. One thing to note is that the couches are different than those pictured and don't pull out, but we didn't need them to pull out anyway. If there was a need, there was an extra futon in one of the bedrooms. We got a good tour of the home and our hostess encouraged us to ask any questions throughout our stay, even if we were just looking for something to do. She made our first Airbnb experience a positive one. The neighbor even came over to say hi and mow the lawn. We are already looking forward to next summer.

  • This home was located within walking distance to all the local shops and eateries, the ferry to Mackinac Island, and the lake! Perfect for couples or small families to enjoy all that Mackinaw City has to offer!

    MARK2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • This house worked great for our family vacation. The location is fantastic as you can easily walk anywhere whether you want to catch a ferry to Mackinac Island or enjoy a cup of coffee from Starbucks. The Headlands International Dark Park with some incredible stargazing is just a few miles down the road. The Mackinac bridge is in your front yard and the beach including a playground is just across the street. The house was large enough to accommodate us comfortably and it was surprisingly quiet given how much is going on outside. You will hear the ferry call in the morning, but we didn't mind that at all. The house was very clean and we were pleasantly surprised to find all-natural products in the home. My husband's allergies usually act up in vacation rentals due to pets or dust, but he didn't have an issue at all in this home. The bed was comfortable and we put the grill in the backyard to good use. If you are a foodie, you might want to plan on some cooking. But if you are looking for fudge, ice cream, diners or pancake houses, you will be in heaven here. On a rainy day, we discovered we could take the kids to the Holiday Express and use their pool for only $6/per guest. The kids were thrilled. Our host was kind, attentive and flexible. We are grateful for a lovely stay.

  • We loved this cottage in Mackinaw City. It was great for our family of 4. The location was fantastic: within walking distance of the ferry and downtown Mackinaw City. The house was clean. I loved having a kitchen, with all the essentials and a washer and dryer. The beds were super comfy as well. Location is excellent!

    Jean2017-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • The house is great! And the location is excellent. Next time we travel to Mackinaw City, we will definitely choose to stay here again!

  • This was our first Airbnb trip...and this location did not disappoint! Bert and Stef were warm and inviting hosts. The location is second to none!! It is just steps away from the downtown area, beach and ferry to the island. Our family enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning next year.

    Kristin2016-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the Lake View Cottage II was great! It was an even better location than I thought! Our baby girl appreciated the nice rugs throughout the home and I appreciated how clean and tidy everything was (including the rugs!). We hope to stay again next summer!

Beautiful 2 bedroom luxury condo in St. Ignace, Mi. 3rd floor walkup ...relaxing view from the deck. Great location & walking distance to downtown and boats to Mackinac Island.
  • The condo was great! More than we expected. All the extras were great. We felt at home in it. Bed very comfortable. Quiet bldg. and neighborhood, great location. Had a garage to put our bikes in when we weren't using them. Great sitting on the deck morning, noon and night. We were there a month and loved every minute of it. We will be back; this is the place to stay in St Ignace.

  • we had a wonderful experience at Chanelle's place. I highly recommended it!

    Celau2016-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • The condo was beautiful, in a great location, and perfectly priced. Everything was as advertised. It was also very private and quiet. We couldn't be happier with having chosen it. A great bonus was the washer and dryer. We were able to pack less since we could wash our clothes. We brought our own detergent to use. The next time we are vacationing up north, Chanelle's condo will be the our first choice to stay.

    Nicholas2016-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at this beautiful and very clean condo just two blocks from the water. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms one of which his a master bedroom. The condo is on the third floor of the building. It has a beautiful and very large patio that we used every day. The kitchen is loaded with all the necessities. We had a wonderful time in St Ignace thanks to our stay at Chantelle's condo.

    Marius2014-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great condo within walking distance of Lake Huron, the ferry to Mackinac Island, and local shops and restaurants. Plenty of space and room for family/friends to spread out. All of the accommodations you could ask for in a clean and quaint setting. While the master has a ceiling fan and one portable fan was available, a secondary portable fan would be nice so one could be used in the second bedroom as well as the living room as it appears the unit has no A/C. We look forward to coming back to the UP in the future and hope to be able to stay here again!

    Joshua2016-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was amazing at this luxury condo! It met all of our wants & needs! We will definitely come back if in the area again!

My place is close to Mackinaw City, Mackinac Island. You’ll love my place because of the feeling of stepping back in time. My place is good for couples and families (with kids).
While the cottages have updated electrical and plumping pipes, the cottages have a quaint old fashioned feel.
  • Great place to stay in Mackinac City, location is excellent! The cabin was clean, comfortable and had a beautiful view. Linda was an excellent host!

    Amber2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay with Linda. The accommodations were just as we planned and the location was fabulous for those beautiful sunrise's! Loved the place..will surely stay again!

    Daryl2016-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Linda and Vince were great hosts and very kind. And the view was incredible! We were just a few yards from Lake Huron! With windows open you could hear the lapping of the waves against the shore. It was very peaceful and the views at sunset/sunrise are amazing! The place is small but cozy. I'd recommend for anyone wanting some time at a place with a great view!

    Barry2017-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing setting and very cute cottage. Has most basic amenities, but not a fully equipped kitchen (only a microwave and fridge). Good plumbing and shower though. Very convenient to get to the island and easy to find.

    Pervez2016-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • This place is better than advertised and Linda and Vince are very interesting people who are genuinely helpful and very welcoming. We had a wonderful three days here and I loved seeing my children, ages 11 and 18, enjoying themselves in this gorgeous natural setting without TV!! They suggested a great Kayak place. The swing at lake's edge is the best.

    Tom2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location right next to Lake Huron. We had a fantastics stay at this cottage and enjoyed swimming in the lake which was a few meters from our front door. Linda was a great host, responding to any questions very quickly and on arrival we were met by her husband who gave us some great background history for the place and local information. The cottage is cosy and clean and very quiet at night. I would definitely stay there again.

    Elise2016-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Property was so beautiful and peaceful. I'm so glad I made the decision to stay outside of Mackinac City and away from the tourists crowds. My kids enjoyed the beach and swimming in Lake Huron in a natural setting. The cabin had all amenities as described and Linda / Vince were great hosts. We took their recommendation for pizza and ate there twice! We didn't use the grill to cook but I would suggest bringing disposable plates/bowls if planning to eat in or have cereal. Overall we loved it!

    Patricia2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is an excellent place to stay. Right on the water, private, cute &clean. We had a blast with our daughter on the beach. Linda & Vince were great.

  • The cottage was wonderful. The description was very accurate and the location was even better than we expected. The inside of the cottage was very well done and looked recently updated. I stayed with my two sons and it was perfect for the three of us. We used the pull out couch and it was very comfy for this needing a third bed. This will be our first choice the next time we go to Mackinaw.

  • Huron Breeze was a beautiful well-cared-for cottage with easy access to everything in mackinaw city. Our family of 5 enjoyed every minute of our vacation. We were so happy about the cleanliness of the home and the details that Terry put into making it homey. The kitchen is large and there is lots of room to relax. The location directly in the middle of other hotels and restaurants is very convenient - walking distance to anything you need. We loved it and will recommend to our friends!

Located just 2 miles from downtown Mackinaw City, this home is a perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. The house has been remodeled and will provide a relaxing environment for your vacation. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a screened in porch, the house is a little over a thousand square feet, and sits on a 1/2 acre lot.
The house and yard is for our guests. The garage is off limits as it's used for storage.

  • Sarah was very responsive to questions throughout the whole process. House was super cute, clean, close to downtown and local activities. This was my first time in Michigan and I loved it! Very nice and comfy place to stay!!

  • This was a great place to accommodate our group of 6 comfortably. It had everything we needed- utensils, towels, even a keurig. The location is one of its best features being so close to the ferries and downtown Mackinaw City. Sarah was a great communicator and responded quickly to all texts and emails. The only room for improvement is the water pressure in the large bathroom was quite low and the mattress in the master bathroom sunk in the middle. Thank you again for a great experience!

Beautiful Victorian Home that sits above town overlooking Lake Huron.
This home was built shortly after the Civil War and is still making memories. Large enough for big family vacations and reunions with friends. Driveway long enough to handle snow mobile trailers for those winter weekend get-a-ways!
It's quaint, friendly a close to main attractions!
  • Kim answers so fast for your questions, and is totally fair with you. Her house is so easy to reach by 75, and is close to some restaurants. Nice and cozy house for your family or even friends!

    Cara2017-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • The location of this house was perfect for us! Close to Mackinac Island ferry and a great location to explore the east side of the U.P. Walking distance to shops and restaurants in St. Ignace. The house is spacious and has a great side yard with a fire pit. The inside stairway needed some work, 2 broken stairs and a lot of missing spindles going up the banister (which meant holes and a loose banister). We had small children with us and it did make the stay more difficult as all of the bedrooms and the bathroom are upstairs.

    Heidi2017-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time spending the weekend here. The house was older, with some creeks as you walk around, but was surprisingly spacious. It is easily walkable to downtown St. Ignace and the ferry's for Mackinac Island.

    Jason2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! Walk to ferries for Mackinac Island. House is old and needs some updates. Squeaky doors and floors. But, my family had a great time there.

    Matt2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the size of the house, the yard, the closeness to town, and especially the character of the house. The uniqueness remindes us a lot of the farmhouse we once lived in.

This home has just undergone extensive cosmetic renovation in early 2017. Tons of flexible room in this 4 bedroom, 1 bath home. With 2 bedrooms on the first floor (one full, one queen), a full bath with extra deep tub, efficient & pleasant galley kitchen with beadboard cabinets, Loft space on the second floor boasts an additional nook w/ twin bed, 2 more bedrooms (one full size with additional trundle day bed with 2 twins, and one king size), new flooring throughout entire home, large deck!
  • This house is AMAZING in so many ways! The home was exactly what we were hoping for for our family vacation. The location was excellent with the city of Mackinaw within walking distance, along with the water only a block away. We brought bikes and were able to ride them to the ferry to get over to the island with a quick 5 minute bike ride! The neighborhood was awesome, very quiet and neighbors were welcoming. The house was perfect and had ample sleeping/bed available. Kristi was amazing with communication, and answered all of my messages in a timely manner. Hopefully our paths cross again, and we are able to rent another AirBNB from Kristi. She truly was a perfect host!

  • We had a fantastic stay at Kristi's home in Mackinaw City over the 4th of July. It's a great location, out of the hustle and bustle, but close enough to ride bikes wherever you want to go. The home is very clean and extremely comfortable. I would definitely stay again.

    Kelly2017-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • I sure LOVE the Mackinaw City area & this house was a GREAT find for my family! It is really close to the action of downtown Mackinaw City - an easy walk and even easier bike ride from the stores & shoreline. It is also in the perfect location to enjoy day trips into the U.P. (we went to Munising for the day - about 2 hours from this house & you can put your feet into Lake Superior too!!). The house itself is set back from the road in a quiet neighborhood. It has four great bedrooms (one king, two queens and a room with a double, a daybed & trundle). Our large extended family of 6 adults & 3 kids fit with room to spare. The kitchen has a beautiful stainless steel refrigerator & gas stove/oven and was stocked with everything we could need. The one bathroom has super fluffy oversized towels and plenty of them! Great dining area and a very comfortable living space round out the warm feel this house will give you. We used the gas grill out on the front deck (that came with chairs and a picnic table). The stack-able washer & dryer came in handy as we were able to wash all our clothes for our next portion of our trip to Mackinac Island. Plenty of parking in both the driveway & behind the house (we pulled a trailer of bikes up and had no problem getting in & out). Kristi was very professional and responded to any and all our communication quickly. She has several other homes in other parts of Michigan (Traverse City & Munising to name two of them) and we hope to stay in those in the future. For either work or play - we rent home instead of staying in hotels several times a year. I highly recommend this property to anyone hoping to enjoy the Mackinaw City, Mackinac Island or day trips into the Upper Peninsula.

    Kris2017-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • The location of the house was great: near the bridge, the beach, and the ferries. I had a hard time getting a hold of the host to check in on time. We ended up killing time around Mackinaw and waiting almost two hours before we could check in. Once we got in, the house was pretty nice, though it was filled with fruit flies. Apple vinegar traps got rid of most of them by the end of the trip. The listing says it includes essentials such as towels, sheets, toilet paper, and soap, however, we had to run to the store as there was no toilet paper and very little soap.

    Amanda2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • The house is great for a family. We had 6 people staying there. The only thing to keep in mind is that there is only 1 bathroom which can get a little hard with a large group. He house is newly renovated and close to everything! It is walking distance from downtown, the water, and the ferry to the island. Kristi was very available and so nice! Would definitely stay here again!

    Ashlee2017-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful location as walking distance to town. The beds are comfortable and the place has lots of room for 6 people to really lounge and relax. Kristi was super responsive in answering all of our questions.

    Diann2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Kristi was a fantastic host! I would definitely stay at one of her properties again. My one and only issue was that there was one bathroom for 6 people (I did know this ahead of time). Other than that, everything about the place and the host was top notch!

    Elizabeth2017-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • The house was perfect for our needs. We had 8 adults and 4 young children staying in the home. The house was much bigger and well laid out than the pictures depicted. Plus, the outside deck really made it feel more spacious. You can tell the house is recently re-done and is furnished/decorated very nicely. The beds were comfortable for everyone and the kitchen had the basics. The location was perfect! It is only a few blocks from a beach. Downtown and the ferry are also walkable. We would definitely stay here again.

My place is close to all the excitement Mackinaw City has to offer. The house is only a mile or so from town, the bridge, the fort, the ferry boats to Mackinaw Island, and many other attractions. You’ll love my place because of the feeling you get when you arrive, it will take you back in time. This is a place where you'll feel as if you could just relax, listen to the water, breath the fresh air, and reminisce the way things use to be.. My place is good for couples and families (with kids).
The view is breath taking. While sitting at the table drinking a cup of coffee, your able to see the sunrise on the lake while viewing the Mackinaw Bridge.
close to down town, one mile away from restaurants, and grocery store and the court yards which has entertainment most every night.
  • Very grateful I stumbled upon this charming clean lake cottage. Views of Lake Michigan and the Mackinaw Bridge are priceless. Host Tonya was very accommodating and even provided us with a grill. Close to downtown Mackinaw City. A must if you love older homes since you feel like you have stepped back in time.

    Michelle2016-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place to relax. The cottage is right on the lake, so the sounds of waves crashing never leave you. Whether sitting on the porch overlooking the lake, or sitting on the beach with a fire watching the sun set and the lights of the Mackinaw bridge, you will surely find yourself at peace in Tonya's cottage. Very easy to communicate with and the house was wonderful. We will definitely be back.

    Taylor2017-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for the real "up north" experience this cottage certainly hits the mark. The sunsets on the lake are breathtaking and you have your own private area of beach for swimming. The cottage was clean and cozy. Note: if you or your children cannot go without cable or internet you might just want to get a hotel. But if you want to be close to mackinaw city and still get the up north experience this is a great option. Also - the headlands international dark sky park and wilderness state park are both right down the road.

  • This is a lovely, clean cottage in an excellent location right on the lake. The views from the back porch are gorgeous. The neighborhood is quiet, and a short distance from the center of Mackinaw City. The grocery options in Mackinaw City are limited so I recommend shopping on the way there.

  • This cottage was in a beautiful location, quiet and serene. We loved the constant sounds of the waves, the gentle breezes, listening to the birds throughout the day and watching sunsets in the evening. Also, very clean and accommodating. Mackinac Island Ferry boats are 3 miles away. The cottages are centrally located for day trips.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
Mackinaw Memories has been in the family since 1970. The cottages were constructed in the 40's. Plumbing and electrical has been updated but the view and feel of the cottages make you feel like you are stepping back in time.
Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island have been a "destination" for decades. What is special about our place is that it's on the water, quiet and like stepping back in time. It's not a big high rise hotel. You sit at the lake and watch freighters, ferry boats and gaze at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island.
  • Linda met us and was warm and welcoming and went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. Location was close to town but far enough away to not feel like you were stuck in a tourist area. Lovely view of the water just a few short steps outside and easily accessible to everything we needed during our stay. This cabin has a rustic feel but had everything we needed for our stay with our two little ones. When we stayed it was still pretty warm and the cabin doesn't have air so the only recommendation I would make is to bring along a fan for your stay. Otherwise it was lovely!

  • This sweet little cabin is just as described by its host. It is small, but the size was adequate for me and my sister (and her little Havanese). The full-sized bed was comfortable, and we used our own inflatable mattress instead of the fold-out sofa bed. The small fridge filled up with our perishables, and the bag of ice cubes we bought fit in the little freezer. We used the outdoor grill and the microwave (thanks to Vince for his assistance in getting both to behave!). We also used an electric skillet that we had brought along. Furnishings are basic, but everything that we needed. My sister would have loved to have a television also, but we were able to use my laptop for evening video-watching. WiFi is available, which we appreciated. We also loved the fact that the cabin is pet-friendly. But the reason this cabin stands out is its location on Lake Huron / the Straits of Mackinac. Though there was another rented cabin nearby, and the host's home behind us on the same property, we felt like we had our own private beach! We will never forget the time we spent sitting on the wooden swing, with the sound of the waves lapping at the sandy beach, and the view of Mackinac Island and Bois Blanc on the horizon. The sky at sunset (and sunrise) from this perspective was memorable and soothing. We would very much recommend a stay at Linda's 'Mackinaw Memories at Cedar Gables!'

  • Linda and Vince were great hosts - they gave us a bunch of tips about where to go and what to do. The cottage was exactly what we'd hoped - fantastic view, clean accommodations, updated bathroom. The location is perfect for those who like to bike. We rode into town every day on the trail, which is right across the road.

    travis2016-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • The location was perfect, close to the downtown area and far enough away to feel like we were really at our own little escape. The cottage was clean, simple and quaint. Close to the water which was beautiful! We enjoyed meeting their dog, Fumbles, who played well with our dog. Part of the reason we brought our dog was to go on daily adventures with us but we thought we would be able to keep him in the cottage in the evening, so he could rest while we went and got dinner, etc. We didn't realize that it was expected of us that we keep him with us at all times--to never leave him unattended. It put a bit of a damper on our evenings, as we had to have him with us no matter where we went. We made it work and had fun, but this is definitely something that should be passed along to those looking to stay in this cute cottage with their furry friends!

  • This place is exactly as advertised, a very rustic cabin.. Cabin is very clean and perfect for a quiet weekend away. Just a few steps from Lake Huron and the view is perfect. The hosts were great and were very nice to talk to. I definitely recommend this place!!

  • This cottage is right on the water and offers magnificent views of the water and Mackinaw Island. It is located very close to town yet at the same time feels secluded, cozy and quiet. Simply furnished but very comfortable and inviting.

    Lisa2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect weekend get away. Linda was very welcoming and had plenty of suggestions and information about what to do in the area. The location was perfect. There is a nice peaceful bike trail across the street that leads straight to the ferry boats. We road our bikes all over the island, is was such a beautiful weekend. Linda even let us borrow her bike lock for the whole weekend, we forgot ours. The cabin was clean and adorable. Just enough space. Highly recommend this trip.. I'm pretty sure my parents will be making this trip next year :)

A beautiful log home minutes from downtown and boats to Mackinac Island. Day trip options for Tahquamenon Falls, Pictured Rocks National Shoreline, museums ,rocking and more.
A quiet country setting for walking, hiking, canoeing, fishing, swimming, campfires, museums sightseeing, rocking, relaxing and more!
  • The house is located close to town but far enough away to be peaceful. It was nice to go fishing right in the backyard. The house was spotless and we had a great stay.

    Chris2017-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy's location was close to ideal for us; just close enough to St. Ignace to drive in when we needed supplies or a quick meal, but also very secluded in terms of the actual location. It was very quiet, and we could hear coyotes howling at night, quite far away. The cabin itself was plenty large enough for our party of 7. The separate guest house was nice for our older teenagers; they could stay up a little later without bothering us, and sleep-in the following mornings without us bothering them! The main house had plenty of space for relaxing, when we weren't off on some UP adventure. We would definitely stay again.

    Kurt2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful place to stay. Close to downtown St Ignace on a very quiet road. Very nice and clean main cottage and guest house, great view of Lant Lake, big yard, Kayaks and a canoe and good fishing. We also love the horses next door. Nancy is a wonderful host! I highly recommend this for a place to stay.

Enjoy my beautiful 2-bedroom scenic view condominium located at the Shores at Mackinaw on the pristine shores of Lake Huron. You will get to experience the beautiful views of the Mackinac Bridge and historic Mackinac Island. My condominium is fully.
My condo features 2 bedrooms with a king size and a queen size bed (plus a sleeper sofa in the living room), 2 full baths, full kitchen, washer & dryer, private garage, patio/balcony, heated shared pool, and a sandy beach with a fire pit.
The complex is shared with several other condo owners.
  • # 1 - the location is great. Easy access to the entire Mackinaw area. #2 - The accommodations are well above the average condo where we have stayed. All the amenities of home plus. 3# - The view from the back of the condo is - well - one has to experience the sunrises at this place

    Joseph2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • This unit is spotless and well-appointed, good value for the money and close to local attractions in a quiet secluded development.

  • Bridget and Carol are so nice, thorough and responsive. They both reached out via Airbnb, and Carol and I texted a bunch prior to and on the days of move in and move out. We had booked the two-bedroom, not on the water, but since a unit on the water was available, they suggested we move there. Wonderful suggestion!!! The views of the Mackinaw Bridge were amazing. We had perfect weather, so we kept the balcony door open, closed the screen and listened to the water lap up on the shore. We also had a great view of some beautiful sun sets. In the unit, the bedrooms are huge!! The bathrooms were a good size too, and loved having a hair dryer provided. There is laundry, eat in kitchen with great counter space, nice living room - everything you could want. The furnishings and beds were quite comfortable. The neighborhood is great for walking, and the pool is right on the water. There is also a fire pit by the pool and some nice Adirondack chairs to sit in right down by the water - all this is shared by the community. It is a quick, less than 5 minute, drive to downtown Mackinaw City, and all the ferries to the island. We loved this place, and Bridget and Carol made it so easy. We will be back!!!

This quaint little cabin located on Lakeside Dr. is perfect for a quiet little get a way. You can sit on the front porch and hear the waves from the Straits of Mackinaw.
Cozy cabin facing Lake Mi, approximately one mile from town. The cabin is close to A public access where you can hand carry Kayaks, paddle boards, or floats. Close To grocery store and restaurants as well. This place is perfectly located close enough to town, but still far enough away from the hustle and the noise. Guest can contact me by text or ph(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) Tonya
All kinds of restaurants in town, fireworks, music, and light shows almost every night
  • Very close to everything. The cottage was just the perfect size for 2 people. The public beach access within walking distance has an amazing view of the bridge.

  • This is a great vacation cottage, and we found it just as described. It has all the basics that we wanted for the week: -The kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, small electric range, pots & pans, dishes & silverware made it easy to have our breakfasts and a few other meals there at the cottage. -The modern spacious bathroom with shower was especially welcome after a summer day out & about. -The rustic living room and front porch with modern screened windows are both nice spots to sit, chat, and enjoy drinks in the evening. The location is excellent: just a few minutes from downtown Mackinaw City and the Mackinac Bridge. It was easy to get to local sites, to the ferries to Mackinac Island, and to cross the bridge to the Upper Peninsula. A short walk down the street leads to a public beach/access where we could sit and watch the beautiful sunsets over lake Michigan. Thank you Tonya for making this work so well. We do hope to be back.

  • This cabin had an uncomfortable amount of air fresheners (all types and brands) scattered throughout the rooms. The odor from these air fresheners was so strong it irritated our senses. We brought our own pillows and they smelled for two days after. The water comes out foggy, and looked a little brown. Probably clean enough, but we were not chancing it with our baby. There are no interior doors except to the bathroom, which causes some privacy issues for more than one guest. The owner was very responsive and polite, but the negatives were just too much for us. We decided to cut our trip short.

    Clayton2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Cute, old charmer of a cottage. Nice and clean with every thing you could need. The front porch was perfect for spending the evenings and listening to the waves. Great host and communication.

Very comfortable suite close to The Inn at Stonecliffe and Grand Hotel Woods restaurant. Great view of Lake Huron with a nice deck to enjoy the beautiful sunsets.
Great views, cooling breeze, very close proximity to dining, lake and golf.
Quiet, beautiful, unique and close to 2 restaurants, 2 bars, golf, hiking trails and the lake.
  • We loved being so close to the Woods - a great restaurant for date night. Highly recommend bringing your own bikes for getting around. Quiet, clean, comfortable, and a great view.

    Chelsea2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Patrick's private room with a private entrance was right next door to the Inn at Stone-cliff on the Sunset condo properties. It was a 2 mile/15 min up hill bike ride from then main strip and a 10 min ride downhill from the condo to the main strip. The condo was extremely clean and accommodating. Patrick had extra blankets, sheets, towels, toilet paper and paper towel for us to use. The bed was super comfy and the shower was top notch. We loved the private deck in back that overlooked the beautiful water. The condo also came with a complimentary coffee maker, coffee pods, creamer and sugar that we did not use. The fridge was clean and big enough for yogurts, milk and leftovers. There is a taxi service every hour at the Inn and Stone-cliff that cost $7/pp one way that we took when it was pouring rain one afternoon. Would definitely recommend Patricks condo! It was immaculately clean and in a beautiful neighborhood!

    Esther2017-08-11T00:00:00Z

  • This property is a in a wonderful location, but close to 2 miles from downtown and the ferry docks. As long as you are prepared to walk, ride your bike, or wait for a shuttle to get to and from town, this property is perfect. The views of the lake from the deck and around the property are amazing. There are plenty of walking paths/trails nearby, which was perfect for our dog, Sofía. Patrick was great with communication both before and during our trip. He had many suggestions and was great about checking in while we were there. We would definitely recommend this property, as well as Patrick as a host.

    Chelsea 2016-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • It was a clean, secluded condo away from the busy downtown.

    Heather2017-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time during our stay on Mackinac island. Patrick's place was conveniently located with a nice view of the lake. If we go back to Mackinac while we live in Michigan we will book Patrick's place again.

    Kati2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Patrick's place. He was very communicative, initiating contact about two days prior to out stay and checking in while we were on the island. The price is better than any hotel on the island (that I could find) and it was the perfect size for my wife and I. The views from the deck are beautiful, and the amenetities, including the Keurig, were great! It is a bit out of town, but we rented a tandem bike and had a great time riding out. A friend who works on the island said that it would likely be about $6 for a taxi out, which isn't bad either and a great way to see the island. Had a wonderful time!

    Andrew2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Patrick's place is even nicer than the pictures show! The furnishings are excellent hotel quality including linens, towels, amenities. He makes check-in a breeze and is very helpful, even turned on our heat during our dinner out when we couldn't! We had a last minute hanger-on in the form of an extra guest, (a child who begged to come) and Patrick was very understanding about it. His recommendations were spot on in terms of where to eat. We loved golfing at the Woods after hours for free! This is definitely worth the price if you want a beautiful, natural place to stay just near Stonecliff Inn for half the price!

  • Kim was excellent in communicating with us prior and after are arrival. The her apartment was quaint and cozy, and exactly as pictured and described. we had all of the necessities needed for a short visit to St. Ignaces.

    Deborah2016-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • The space is fine, but there are some rather major inconveniences ; 1. An exterior door that apparently seems not to lock. 2. Rickety, cheap old furniture (the fold out tables being too unstable to use, for example. 3. The HEATING that doesn't seem to work, with the exception of one electric heater in the living room. This does not heat the bedroom. 4. The blanket (singular) in the bedroom : cheap, synthetic, thin, and completely inappropriate for night time in October. Overall, this stay was a disappointment. The area is full of charm, it's nice to hear the boats in the morning etc., but upon entering the apartment, you will be cold basically until you leave. The host, who like several american hosts seem to want not to meet their guests, reluctantly instructed me on how to turn on the heating, which only partially works. I would advise any traveler only to stay here in the summer, and above all to avoid it in the winter.

    Matt2015-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Quite and cozy home close to the water. Perfect for me and another that traveled Macknac Island during the day and walked to the lake at night.

    Peter2015-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • We should've read the listing more carefully. There's no wi-fi, and just a full sized bed. Clearly posted on the listing, but I guess our excitement blinded us (first time airbnb users too). So, just make sure you know what you're looking at. Also, one major annoyance is a street light just outside the bedroom window that shines in on the head of the bed. If you're a light sleeper, bring a mask. And, know that the other part of the house is also for rent and there could be numerous other guests/vehicles to work around. Otherwise, great location and fresh smelling towels.

  • We loved our week at Bridget's condo. It was cleaner than any other airbnb we've stayed in and the property manager, Carol, went out of her way to have things prepared for us. We really appreciated snacks and a few groceries waiting for us, a very well equipped kitchen, shampoo and plenty of towels. The complex is very well kept and quiet. It was a cold week, but the pool was well heated. We biked to the ferry and into town many times on the trail across from the complex. The only thing worth mentioning is that a few of the beds were not super comfortable. This was not a big deal to us, but I know some people care about more about good mattresses than others (my husband didn't even notice ;)). Check in and out was super easy. We're very thankful for such a great place to bring our 3 little kids and 2 teenagers!

  • My family stepped off the car with a "wow" at the location, right by the lake and with the view of the bridge. It is at a quite and cute neighbourhood, exactly where we wanted to be, given that I'm travelling with a family of aunts and uncle of some age.... It was a cozy house from the 1896(?) with a lot of antique pieces that just sparks your imagination of the old days. The fireplace was a plus, we enjoyed it on a cold day/night sitting in the living room. Amazing sunrise and sunset looking out from the back door. Diane was very accommodating making a special offer of 1-night stay for us as this cottage requires min. 3 days of stay. Thank you!! It was a great experience, my family posed for a photo at the back porch just like the old photo hung above the chest drawer in the living room. It was great!

  • Really enjoyed this quaint and authentic cottage!! Plenty of room for our family of five to spread out and have a little privacy, while providing a comfortable place for us to share our time together. We had beautiful views of the Mackinac Bridge, the Saturday night fireworks across the Straits, and beautiful Lake Michigan. The great central location allowed us to see many sites in this beautiful state and brought us back to a cozy home base. Highly recommended!!

  • We loved this house. It's impossible to describe the coziness of it, the views, the privacy from the surrounding homes, the antiques inside, the history as well as shared memories of previous house guests and the owners. This place has charm beyond words with all the necessary accommodations of our own home and the convenience of proximity to key points of interest in Mackinaw City easily walkable or reachable by bike. We felt like we were in the home of a family member with the beachside bonfires, available board games, videos, collections of beautiful stones and shells collected over the years. We added our own found treasures to some of theirs for future renters to feel the same feeling of belonging in this home.

  • We had a great Mackinaw experience at this cottage. It has views of the Straits and the Mackinac Bridge, while having many trees and bushes that provide a visual break from nearby cottages. The cottage is cozy--a very nice feel and multiple places to sit and relax. A full kitchen and even a washer/dryer. Very convenient to town. Just lovely.

  • Overall, this was an incredible experience. Good value, awesome views, and a wonderful place to relax. I'm originally from Southwest Michigan and haven't been to the Mackinac-area since I was a kid, so I was looking forward to introducing it to my husband and spending some quality time with my parents. We skipped stones from the beach, played Jenga on the porch, and just relaxed in front of the stone fireplace. Windows open the whole time, lake breezes throughout the house, and nothing but the sound of waves lapping against the shore to put you to sleep. My Dad, especially, didn't want to leave. If you're looking for a reasonably-priced rustic Northern Michigan cabin that feels like home (plus some useful amenities - modern dishwasher, laundry, two clean bathrooms) with a fabulous view of the Mackinac Bridge, then I highly recommend Harding Cottage. I certainly hope to stay there again in the future!
