  • Will and Michele are friendly and welcoming hosts, and I felt instantly comfortable with them. Their pets are friendly and well-behaved. The room and private bath right next door to the room were quite clean. I slept well in the bed. I loved having fresh eggs from their chickens for breakfast! I'd definitely stay at their place again!

Large private room and private bath in a friendly quiet neighborhood. Less than a mile from Dartmouth, house is on a beautiful one-acre lot; 3 miles from DHMC. Covered parking. Couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families with kids welcome.
An extra-large bedroom with post-and-beam construction, a queen-sized bed, and a nice bathroom with tub and shower. Bedrooms in the house are widely separated and each has its own bathroom, so there's plenty of privacy.
The neighborhood is a quiet side street; I've been there 12 years, and everyone is friendly and accommodating.
  • Devin was an amazing host, he even dropped me off on campus for my interview. My room was wonderful. It was very clean and even larger than it looks in the pictures. It's an easy walk or bus ride to campus and down town.

  • Perfect experience! The room and amenities are great, better than staying at a hotel, and the host is extremely friendly and helpful. Absolutely no reason not to pick this place!

  • My stay was amazing. The room was big and warm. The bed was sooo comfy. Excellent service and conditions! If you are ever in Hanover, this is an affordable, quality place to stay.

  • Great place to stay Devin was such a great host very welcoming. Room as described very clean and comfortable. We would highly recommend a stay with Devin

    rosina2017-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • Devin was a kind and friendly host. The bedroom and bathroom were large and comfortable, and the neighborhood quiet. Walkable distance into Hanover. A very good deal. The only minor issue was being waken up early in the morning because of wood ceiling and movement upstairs. Overall, a great experience, I'd definitely stay with Devin again!

    Dhrubo2017-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Devin's place is great. Conveniently located located in Hanover. Homey and comfortable. The room is spacious and private. Would recommend a stay at Devin's.

    Tara2017-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Devin was an incredibly helpful host and was quick to ensure I was settled in as soon as I arrived. He even went out of his way to offer me a ride into town (though I recommend enjoying the scenic walk up S. Main!). The room itself was far larger than I expected and the private bath was a huge plus. Overall I highly recommend staying with Devin if you're looking for an affordable and friendly place to stay in Hanover!

Great private space for guests, private bathroom, spacious kitchen, close to DHMC and 15 minutes from Dartmouth College. I have a really sweet little dog. Dogs/pets welcome if they get along with other dogs. Kids always welcome!
Two bedroom, two bath house with open kitchen/living room area. Guests stay in the upstairs area, which is a bathroom, bedroom, and small office (usually full of clutter, but there's a desk in the bedroom also). Nothing special but warm and cozy! Fully equipped kitchen, space in the fridge, and you're welcome to anything I have around food-wise. Coffee/tea/etc. provided also.
Safe neighborhood. Walking distance to the Lebanon town green, a few restaurants, lots of local trails and parks to visit!
  • Julia is the best host anyone can ask for. The place is lovely. I had a great experience with my stay.

    Zen2016-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • The photo doesn't do this lovely, beautiful and comfy home any justice. From the cleanliness of the house to the hospitality from the lovely Ms. Julia, I just couldn't say enough great things about my stay. It's like a little piece of heaven in New Hampshire. She has the sweetest and most-well behaved dog that loves playing fetch. This being my first experience with Airbnb, I didn't know what to expect but because of Julia, I will definitely return to the app if I'm ever in need of a place to stay.

    Shane2016-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • A very comfortable stay in a picturesque town. Julia was beyond amazing in communication and hospitality. Byron (the cute dog) was great also.

    Christian2017-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Julia is awesome. I was practically a resident by the end of my ~6 week stay. She was so welcoming, generous, and kind. And, the house is always clean and comfortable. Her dog, Byron, is cool and easy to get along with. Highly recommended.

    Rob2016-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Julia is great, her home delightful. I have stayed multiple times and have been super happy every time. The space is adorable and easy to use, great location, and Julia is a wonderful host.

    Connie2017-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • A great little place where we felt welcome and relaxed. Byron (the dog) is such a sweetie.

    Duane2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Julia was such a great host! The space was extremely neat, clean and comfortable. I definitely recommend booking here, even if it's a little off your traveling path.

    Codi2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great trip. Communication with Julia was easy and consistent. The space was exactly how it was pictured and described. The house was clean, and located very close to town. I'm already planning to stay again when I'm next in Lebanon.

This beautiful, bright and sunny studio apartment is the perfect place for a quiet vacation or a romantic weekend get-away. It is part of a 200 year old farmhouse, but is a separate and private space. It is bright and spacious in summer, cozy and warm in winter, and glorious in the fall. You will find everything you need to leave behind the hustle and bustle of your busy life, and spend some quiet time in beautiful rural Vermont. The afternoon sun pours in the large old windows, and the wide pine floors glow honey gold. You can relax with a good book, nap in the comfy bed, cook a meal in the fully but simply appointed kitchen, or soak in the tub. If you need to work, you will have all the quiet you need, plus good cell coverage and high-speed wireless internet. You can come and go as you please, and have as much contact with homeowner as you want. There is a shared main entrance, but the studio is a separate space. The studio consists of a good sized living/bedroom with a comfy full size bed, plus a brand new fold out full-size sleeper for extra guests or your little one. The kitchen is equipped for cooking simple meals, with service for 4. The full bath is roomy and the bathtub is great for soaking. Two thick robes are on the door for your comfort. The flower-covered front porch is the perfect place to dream away a summer afternoon. Lie in the hammock with a book, or have your morning coffee at the outdoor table while listening to the birdsong and the neighborhood roosters. Venture out through the meandering pathways into secret gardens, ponds, and fruit trees. Fill your bucket with delicious sun-warmed raspberries, and pick vegetables straight from the garden for your supper. Situated in a quiet and friendly rural neighborhood, you are but minutes from I-91, and 20 minutes from the Upper Valley. Hartland is a quaint Vermont town, with a diner, yoga studio, general store, library, gas station (with a surprisingly good wine selection), a Unitarian Universalist and a Congregational church, and a fantastic farmer's market on Fridays. There are miles of dirt roads right outside the door, to wander and get lost (I can give you a map!), or hop on your mountain bike and be gone for an afternoon. Hartland has an amazing network of miles and miles of public access cross-country ski trails, so if you come in the winter do bring your skis or snow-shoes. I can also tell you where to rent some. Studio is walking distance to town, and is a ten minute walk to the Skunk Hollow Tavern, where you can enjoy a pub meal downstairs or head upstairs for a romantic dining experience in an historic old tavern. Put your dancing shoes on for a Friday night with some of the best live bands around, or enjoy open mic night on Wednesdays. Historic Windsor, with its shops, restaurants, museums, river adventure company, bike shop, the Harpoon Brewery, a brand new craft vodka distillery, and one of the longest and most photographed covered bridges in the world, is minutes away. In the other direction you'll find Woodstock, just 20 minutes away. Woodstock has been voted one of the most beautiful towns in the US and is full of lovely shops and restaurants, covered bridges, the Billings Farm and Museum, galleries, and antique shops - it is quintessential Vermont. The Upper Valley, also 20 minutes away, consists of towns on both sides of the Connecticut River, in Vermont and New Hampshire. You will find restaurants to suit all tastes, wonderful shops and many tourist attractions. Hanover, New Hampshire and Dartmouth College are here, and so is the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, a premier hospital and health care center. The King Arthur Baking Store and School is just up the road and offers a beautiful new shop that is a baker's dream, and also offers baking classes throughout the year. Vermont Law School is a 25 minute drive. There are numerous smaller ski areas within a half an hour, and Killington, the "beast of the east" is just a 40 minute drive, through picturesque hills and forest. Rivers, lakes, hiking trails, miles of mountain biking roads and trails, and several premier distance running and biking races and events make this the perfect destination for any outdoor enthusiast. Play hard, see the sights, go to meetings or medical appointments, put in a day on the slopes, or just meander the back roads and rivers of this beautiful part of Vermont, and then return home for a peaceful and quiet rest in your own comfortable little space. Children are more than welcome in this space - with advance notice toys, games and snacks will be provided. This home is a welcoming space and is lgbtq friendly. Sorry, but no pets are allowed. There is nothing fancy here, but there is all that you need - that's why it feels like home.
  • Everything about this stay was wonderful! The apartment was private and separate from the rest of the house, and very clean and well-prepared. The surrounding towns and sights are gorgeous and definitely worth a return trip. Nancy was very responsive to messages and texts; we did get to chat once briefly during our stay, and she was very friendly. We had a great time and loved this cozy well-furnished place to stay - thanks so much Nancy!

    Joanna2015-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • The farmhouse was an unexpectedly idyllic place to stay for our central Vermont experience. We originally planed to book a room in Woodstock, but availability and pricing wasn't appealing, so we chose Nancy's home in Hartland and I'm so glad we did. The unit is a charming one bedroom/studio with a ton of space for two people. The bed is just a double, so be prepared to snuggle! Nancy was a helpful, gracious host and gave us great recommendations for a night in Hartland. After staying at Nancy's apartment and seeing an even more adorably rural side of the area, I would 100% recommend staying here instead of Woodstock proper.

    Jamie2014-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy met us upon arrival at her charming home located in lovely and quiet Hartland, Vermont. She made us feel at home and answered our questions about local cross-country ski trails, where to go grocery shopping and other points of interest in the area. The studio apartment was very cute and fairly large. It was the perfect size for two people. The kitchen was pretty simple but had all the necessities - Nancy also provided some local eggs, yogurt and cream for coffee, which were delicious and greatly appreciated! The food in Vermont was wonderful! If you are a fan of cross-country skiing, Nancy's place is ideal for you. There are some cross-country ski trails which start right next to Nancy's property - also there is another trail head about a 3 min drive down the road to a 30km network of community-run and well maintained cross country trails - they were gorgeous. Most of the trails were groomed for classic cross country skiing but there were others which I would characterize as "back country" as well as some snowmobile trails. My girlfriend and I went skiing quite a bit while we were there. All in all, I would recommend Nancy's place to any folks looking for an off-the-beaten-track Vermont experience.

    Nicholas2015-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • It's a beautiful room in a gorgeous part of Vermont! I got lost on the way finding it and Nancy directed me there, late at night. A wonderful and caring host.

    Sindhu2013-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great studio and really enjoyed the location. All the amenities you could need. Very comfortable bed, too. Thanks for the little touches and for the fresh fruit to snack on as well as the Long Trail!

    Jay2013-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first time using Airbnb, and Nancy was the perfect host for it! The place was even more fantastic than the photos! My alarm clock was the sunshine and I took a walk in the neighborhood. The neighborhood is peaceful, calm, and beautiful. As a solo female traveler I never felt more safe! Nancy's studio is set to feel like you are at home. I was able to cook my own breakfast and sit on her porch enjoying all the flowers. The place was clean and everything was easy to find. Two thumbs up, and a double high five for this awesome place!!

    Madison2015-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely and relaxing stay at Nancy's studio. She provided us with excellent restaurant recommendations and some fun things to do in nearby Woodstock. We ultimately ended up cooking and spending a quiet night inside playing games. The studio was warm and cozy on an otherwise chilly, rainy fall night.

    Danielle2014-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • The b@b was exactly as how it was described. Beautiful setting with breath taking fall foliage. we only had one day there and wished we had more time. but the time we did have was spent browsing the cute little town of hartland and using Nancys firepit. the night was clear of clouds and the star gazing was perfect. The bed was heavenly to sleep in and the fold away couch was comfortable. Thank you for the great time Nancy

  • Ester is a terrific host! She had her friend picked me up at the train station and she also drove me to Dartmouth College and the bus station. She is very kind! And her house is great. Very clean and you can find anything you need. I really enjoyed staying with her. Very safe neighbourhood:)

  • Ester was an attentive and helpful host. Before my arrival, she responded quickly to my inquiries, and she was flexible with allowing me to check-in earlier than expected. She even offered to take me to the bus station the next day in case I wasn't able to get an Uber. The room was clean and pleasant, and Ester made sure that I had everything I needed.

The Yurt In The Woods is 30 ft in diameter which offers 700 spacious sq. ft. It's surrounded by trees. The yurt has pure spring water coming from the tap. A two night stay is required for all weekends. During the months of August and October, I require a minimal of two nights.
A long driveway in the woods leads you to a secluded yurt. The yurt offers an unique lodging experience with modern amenities. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas range/stove and all necessary cooking utensils. It has a full size refrigerator, deep sink, Bosch dishwasher, toaster oven, microwave, tea kettle, coffee maker and complete cooking and dining equipment. The living space is decorated tastefully with an extra comfortable queen size futon(not your ordinary mattress). The bedroom space has a new memory foam queen size mattress(10/16) that is well appointed with cotton sheets for your sleeping comfort. The bathroom has standard porcelain fixtures, as well as, a charming claw foot bathtub that has a shower. Cozy soft cotton towels wait on a shelf for your use. The bathroom has a big closet and dresser for storing your belongings. The yurt is heated by a woodstove. There will be firewood in the yurt for your use and instructions of where to find cut and dry firewood for your use in the woodstove. And, a Rinnai thermostat controlled heater lets you sleep through the night without having to get up to feed the woodstove. There is no Wi-Fi and most people have no cell phone service. During the months of August and October there is a minimum of a two night stay requested. The yurt is just steps from the Hartland Winter Trail system – cross-country skiing and/or snowshoeing, as well as, hiking. The fauna and flora of Vermont are plentiful around the yurt. In the winter, you will hear the hooting of owls. In the spring, you will hear the songs of the spring peepers. In the summer, you hear the beautiful melodies of the birds. In the fall, you’ll enjoy the magnificent colors of the deciduous trees and the display of mushrooms along the trails. Location: It is located 8 minutes from I-91. A short drive of 30 minutes on I-91 N gets you to Dartmouth College. Woodstock, Vermont is only 15 minutes away where Suicide Six Ski Resort and the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park is located. Alpine Ski Areas: •Quechee Lakes – 15 minutes away •Suicide Six – 20 minutes away •Whaleback Mountain is 31 minutes away •Killington, Pico and Okemo are located 45 minutes away. •Stowe is 1 hour 28 minutes away •Dartmouth Skiway 50 minutes away Nordic Skiing: •Right out the yurt door are amazing groomed double tracked and snowshoe trails with varying degrees of difficulty. You may find trail maps at Hartland Winter Trails - (website hidden) •Quechee Lakes - 15 minutes (flat terrain - groomed) •Woodstock Resort - 15 minutes Nordic Ski Rentals available at Quechee Inn at Marshland Farms: (website hidden) Restaurants: The Skunk Hollow Tavern is 2 miles from the yurt. Wednesday nights you’ll find locals and out of towner’s on the stage for open mic. Friday nights brings amazing bands ranging from blues, jazz, bluegrass, rock, to Cuban music. The Harpoon Brewery is located about 10 minutes away where you can get a great burger/sandwich and a fresh micro-brew. The Windsor Station is 15 minutes away and is a good option for family dining at a historic train station. Last, but one of our favorites is only 15 minutes away - The Worthy Kitchen which hosts many local foods and craft beers from all over the US.
I love the peaceful solitude, as well as, the bird songs, the coyote calls at night, the hooting owls and the spring peeper's choruses.
  • Staying in the yurt in the woods was an experience we could never replicate anywhere else! My friend Genevieve and I were in town for a wedding in Pomfret and both coming from the hustle and bustle of big cities. And couldn't have asked for a more restful place to land. From listening to a light rain fall on the roof, snuggled warm in the very comfortable bed reading- to exploring the plants in the garden in the sun dappled light during the daylight. We ate farm fresh eggs, sipped tea, lit candles and I took a magical hot bath in the claw foot tub after a marathon night of dancing at our friend's wedding! Thank you to Angela for all the little touches that made this experience blissful .

    Lacey2015-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay at the Yurt, super helpful host.

    Nadia2015-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was such an amazing spot! We're so lucky to have found it! Angela and Jon were extremely welcoming and even shared some of their delicious eggs with us. The yurt was very well equipped-- coffee grinder and all! The bed was so comfortable! Our first night there we enjoyed hearing a pack of coyotes howling at the moon. Our only complaint is we didn't have more time to stay and relax!

    Kate2015-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at the Yurt in the Woods! It was very clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped, the clawfoot tub was luxurious, and the bed and futon couch very comfortable. My family really enjoyed picking raspberries in the front yard and going on walks on the Nordic Ski trails behind the property. We'd definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful, cozy refuge!

    Jessica2013-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • The YIW is just what we needed to be able to relax and get away from our hectic lives for a few days. The setting is gorgeous and peaceful and completely private. The yurt itself is so spacious and comfortable with a great vibe. We slept like rocks and woke refreshed and the comfortable bed. The garden was lovely and the blueberries, blackberries and raspberries we found ripe were delicious. We will be back time and time again as the YIW is a destination in an of itself! Thank you Angela, for your hospitality and generosity.

    Katy & Jason2013-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Out stay in the yurt was wonderful. It was so cozy and cute. Angela have great directions to help us find it. I'm terrible with directions and I had no trouble. The yurt is in a beautiful area and has a lot of cute place around to eat and visit. Angela provided all the information we needed and there were notes all around the home that answered basically any question you could have. I second her recommendation of the Worthy Kitchen. The truffle fries were probably the best fries I've ever had. Overall, we had an absolutely lovely time. The only bad part was leaving so early the next morning.

    Kendall2014-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • This space was great! I would definitely consider staying here again! It had a great view, very relaxing.

  • It was so hard to leave this magical place!! The yurt was one of the best places I've ever stayed, Angela was very nice and welcoming, and the area was wonderful. Lots to do, yet private and relaxing. November was a great time of the year to visit Vermont. Highly, highly recommended!

Welcome to our spacious home close to Dartmouth, skiing, and more. Your room includes a private bath, wifi, a shared TV, and access to our home gym and kitchen. Also includes stunning views of our farm and the Upper Valley!
Ten years ago, we purchased this 40-acre mountain property. The house was originally a large barn, but has been converted into our dream home. We hope that you'll share it with us! Your room features a comfy queen-sized bed with freshly-laundered sheets and large windows. Just down the hall is your private bath with soft towels and a spacious shower. In addition to your private space, our home includes several common areas that we hope you will enjoy: a two-story living room (includes a large TV, a wood stove, and a baby grand piano), a well-equipped kitchen, a library, and a home gym. We have two dogs, Nika and Ajax, and a shy house cat. Nika and Ajax will bark when you arrive, but don't worry, soon they will be asking you for pets! We live on a horse farm, and at different times of the year also have pigs and chickens on the property. We also have a second bedroom with a queen bed available on the second floor of our home. If you're interested, you can find photos on the room, availability, and booking information on our profile.
Our home is located in the scenic mountains of Hartford, Vermont, but we are close to local attractions. Dartmouth College, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, the Upper Valley Aquatic Center, and Vermont Law School are all nearby. We are also close to world-class skiing; Killington, Okemo, Pico, Quechee, Suicide Six, Whaleback, and more are all under an hour away. If you love outdoor adventures, there are several hiking/biking/snowshoeing trails on or near our property. We are also very close to large other trail networks, including the famed Appalachian Trail. If you prefer water sports, we are nestled in between the Connecticut and White rivers and close to several lakes.
  • Staying at the farm with Marc and Bonnie is just perfect. While I was there for work, it was perfectly relaxing. From waking up with a cup of coffee and a muffin looking over the valley, to coming home to a burning fire and a good bed, everything was perfectly taken care of. Marc and Bonnie go out of their way to accommodate their guests and I would definitely stay with them again.

    julie2015-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • The Seventh Heaven Farmhouse is very convenient to Hanover, New Hampshire, for any Dartmouth events. Bonnie and Mark are great hosts: both work, so between your own activities and their work, you may not see them a lot, but conversations with them are well worthwhile when you and they have some common 'downtime'. Be prepared for some noise, as it is a farm and there are animals outside. Bonnie is prepared with earplugs for those that may want them! This was our first time sharing a home with the owners on airbnb, vs. having the whole house. Bonnie and Mark make it clear that you can feel free to cook your own eggs (cage free from their farm), and Mark surprised and delighted us by giving us a few eggs to take with us!

    Mary2017-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Such an incredible place with even more incredible people. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone.

  • If super super hosts were a thing, then Bonnie & Mark would be the first! We were instantly made to fee like part of their family and had a great time hanging out and chatting with them during our stay. They were so welcoming and friendly it was easily the best experience we've had during our one month road trip through the East Coast of USA. Their generosity was above and beyond what was expected. Bonnie gave us great tips on dinner, we went with Tuckerbox, a Turkish restaurant and had the absolute best meal of our trip! Their house is absolutely beautiful and the bedroom was huge and super comfortable. Private large bathroom was also great. In the morning Mark had coffee ready and waiting for us and was great to chat with. He gave some excellent advice on hiking trails in Woodstock which was our next stop and recommended a great breakfast place, Lous, in Hanover. Thank you for washing my clothes and drying my hiking boots by the fire after I fell out of my kayak!! I cannot recommend this place enough. Bonnie & Mark were wonderful people and we were really lucky to have met them and spent time with them.

  • Bonnie & Mark were amenable hosts who both made sure we were always comfortable. We had free reign of their kitchen, the living area was very comfortable next to the wood stove and we had a restful sleep in the guest bedroom. I am allergic to cats, Bonnie assured me that the guest room was cat-free, and I was definitely itch-free! The kindness of our hosts was a highlight and we would definitely stay here again!

  • Mark and Bonnie were incredible hosts! My fiance and I spent one night at their farm, and only wish we had more time to spend. It made for the perfect weekend getaway! Everything was as pictured and described in their post, and only a short 10-15 minute drive to Dartmouth. The room was clean, cozy, and the house and property were beautiful with great views of the mountains. Mark joined my fiance and I for breakfast the next morning and made a great spread of foods, including home-raised bacon! I would highly recommend them to anyone and would definitely stay with Mark and Bonnie again next time we are in the area!

  • Bonnie and her husband could not have been more welcoming. They accommodated my request for a late arrival, had the room all ready and were extremely friendly throughout. They even had muffins picked up for breakfast in the morning. Would definitely stay with them again.

  • Bonnie and Mark were extremely welcoming and friendly. They immediately made us feel right at home, and within 4 hours of being at this lovely farmhouse I started to look at other dates when it would be available again. If you are into great conversations, relaxing, and being surrounded by astonishing natural beauty, this is the place!

  • What a beautiful location and such a lovely little cabin. Everything was so nice! Just wish we could have stayed longer. Definitely want to visit again and stay in Frank's cabin (next time for more than just a weekend).

    Melissa2014-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Frank's Cabin is located in a beautiful remote spot surrounded by trees overlooking a valley. It has a wonderfully epuipped kitchen to cook your own meals on the old stove. The bathroom is huge and has a very comfortable tub. Another highlight is the private deck that faces only trees and green (away from Frank's house). The village is just a 5 min drive away and features a small market with lots of organic and local produce and delicacies as well as some cafés and restaurants. Frank is a terrific host, cheerful and helpful with details about local places to eat, sights to see and swimming holes. When we asked if we could make a campfire Frank offered to start it himself and had it already going when we came home from dinner. He gave us just the privacy that we needed but was always there for us when we had questions. We highly recommend Frank's Mountainside cabin to everyone and would love to go back at our next opportunity.

    Nora2013-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Frank's place was kind and inviting. It is the perfect little get away in the mountains of Vermont. Frank was communicative and gave me a phone tour when I arrive. This Cabin is nestled in the woods and very private surrounded by the beautiful town of South Royalton which sits just 5 minutes at the bottom of the mountain. It was a great, restful experience!

    Colin2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a quiet rustic getaway, Frank's place is the jackpot. I had a wonderful week here, drinking coffee in the morning on the deck, hiking through the nearby trails, and spending some time in Royalton. Frank made some great recommendations: Worthy Burger for a fantastic meal, and a local hike up to Kent's Ledge for the breathtaking view. I had a special request to run internet cable out to my PC [I was working remotely with a computer that didn't have wireless] and Frank was incredibly accommodating, running a cable out from his own house. The area is so quiet at night you'll hear a pin drop, and the night sky is the clearest I've ever seen. More than once I sat on on the porch [or near the fire pit, which has a great view of nearby mountains] just to watch the stars appear. When the wood burning stove is lit, the whole cabin feels so cozy and smells great. The tub is perfect for a long bath. In short, I ended my week here feeling thoroughly relaxed, unplugged and recharged. I'd come back in a second!

    Tim2013-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first experience with Airbnb and I couldn't have asked for a better first impression. From the moment I booked, Frank was in touch via email and had helpful suggestions for traveling and local dining options. Coming from Boston, it was great to feel like we were in the woods, but yet just a 5 minute drive from the really cute town center. Frank let me know the morning we left that he would be out of state that week, but we called him when we arrived and he gave a very thorough "audio tour" over the phone of every room in the cabin. We of course checked out Worthy Burger, as others had suggested, and we were not disappointed. We got some hiking time in as well, as the cabin borders the woods, which are great for exploring. We were sad to leave, and would definitely like to be back again soon. As a first time Airbnb user, this experience made me rethink ever going back to a "standard hotel" again :)

    Melissa2014-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our stay with Frank. Frank was super nice and welcoming. The cabin was fantastic. Very clean and cozy. The cabin was nice and warm and had a great view.

    David2013-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Frank was thoughtful and gracious host, and the cabin was beautiful, well-appointed, exactly what we wanted. We felt immediately at home; it had a lived-in, rustic, camp-like feeling while still being comfortable and tidy. When you step out onto your front porch in the morning there's a beautiful view of the low mountains that range nearby, and the property is just secluded enough without being hard to get to from the highway. That part of Vermont is perfect if you're looking to check out from city life and hike or build a fire, but don't expect to find too much in the towns nearby. We were grateful for the co-op grocery in Royalton, which had a terrific beer selection. Would gladly stay again and recommend Frank and the cabin to anyone.

    Jordan2013-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful location, easy to travel to and out of the way from busy roads. Frank was easy to reach and answered a few questions we had. Would highly recommend and would visit again.

Enjoy a stay in a large private sunlit bedroom one mile from Dartmouth. Ornamental fireplace, private shower/bathroom, and covered parking. Walk to town if the weather is good (20 minutes), or relax with a puzzle or boardgame if it isn't.
The neighborhood is a quiet neighborhood on a side street south of Hanover. I've lived here 13 years, and the people in the neighborhood are pleasant and welcoming.
  • So cozy! Devin's place is great. Very clean, remarkably spacious, and walkable to Dartmouth's campus in about 25 minutes. The bed was very cozy and comfortable; I especially liked the squishy pillows. The heat works great. It is adjustable and there are lots of extra blankets. The shower is hot and has good pressure. I stayed a single night and unfortunately didn't actually get to meet Devin. He was very responsive though. At nearly quarter to eleven at night I blew a fuse blow drying my hair, so I called him, and he walked me through finding the breaker and flipping it back on. He was very nice and quite helpful. I found the place quite charming and convenient for my purposes in Hanover (visiting Dartmouth). I hope to visit Devin's place again.

    Cathryn2016-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • My daughter and I stayed at Devin's one night before our Dartmouth College visit. Devin was a really nice host -- communicative and helpful as needed. The room is spacious with great light but also cozy with nice linens and towels and good heating. There was coffee and tea in the kitchen and shampoo/conditioner in the bathroom. Nice touches. The location was a quick 3 minute drive to the center of town. I would stay here again!

    Liz2017-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot get over how FANTASTIC!!! Devin is as a host. Communication was consistently warm and open. He was kind enough to pick me up from my bus stop and drop me off to my dinner and my morning interview (do not expect this, however). The home is in a very beautiful, quite, and convenient neighborhood. The room was very spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was equally nice.

    samuel2016-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, less than a 10 minutes drive to Dartmouth! Room had its own bathroom and was very large! Great stay!

    Sujeidy2017-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • I had a lovely stay at Devin's home. He is a very attentive and helpful host. He let me check in early and gave me a quick tour. Everything was perfect. I especially liked the room which was spacious, cozy and private. The location is perfect as well. A quick ride into Hanover which made for a great weekend visiting my son. Look forward to coming back!

    Astrid2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Devin's place is very well situated close to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. His place is spotless, and he is very warm and inviting. Highly recommend.

    Abdul2017-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome stay. The place is well furnished, relaxing, warm in the dead of winter, and an easy 15-20min. walk from the downtown Hanover area. Devin is a splendid host, with ample recommendations and the generosity to offer a ride when it started snowing and I didn't have a vehicle. Would definitely stay here again!

The apartment is conveniently-located, spacious, cozy with a lot of natural light. • The room was perfect for a short stay in Hanover. The apartment is a 5-10 minute walk from the Dartmouth campus and is right next to a lively pizza place and a spacious cafe. Egbert was a very gracious host and left clear instructions for check-in, so getting in was very easy. The bed is super comfortable and keeping the little heater for just a short while goes a long way towards making the room very cozy. I spoke with Egbert's roommate during my stay and she was also very welcoming and a pleasure to talk to. I highly recommend staying at Egbert's apartment if you're visiting Hanover!

    Shubhra2016-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Egbert was great - an excellent host. The apartment is also in a perfect location. Perfect place for a night or two in Hanover.

    Mathew2016-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Egbert is a wonderful host. Communication was immediate, informative, accurate. He touched base with me on day of arrival just to be sure everything was ok. He shared many little tidbits of information about restaurants and the Hanover area and life at Dartmouth that were VERY useful to me. Room was as described. Easy access to everything in town. Parking garage directly across street (free on weekends) Apartment is shared with mature, quiet, grad students. Very accommodating and I felt safe! Made for a Great visit to Hanover.

She was wonderfully accommodating of our dog. She was knowledgeable about the area, and an interesting person to visit with - an all-around great hostess. Highy recommend staying here!

  • Lauren made us feel very comfortable and the home is in a great scenic location. Bed was comfortable. Our son loved checking out the alpacas! We also enjoyed looking at the products in the boutique.

    Michelle2017-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time staying with Lauren on her farm. She was very communicative and welcoming - made us feel very comfortable the entire time. We were able to interact with the alpacas in the morning and they were precious - DEFINITELY worth the trip just for the alpacas, and for the alpaca products in her shop. The rooms were just as advertised, clean and comfortable, and the entire home is very cozy. We hope to be back in the summer to see the alpacas with their full coat of fur!

  • I can't find good enough words to describe the combination of one amazing host (Lauren) and the rare scenic view you can see from the house. Lauren is a very warm person with a very unique story. Price was almost too good to be true. I truly feel fortunate that we found this out of all places on AirBNB. we are definitely coming back next year!

    Assaf2015-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lauren was an exceptional host - accommodating our late arrival, greeting us with such kindness, making us coffee/toast the following morning, and sharing great stories and conversation with us. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay! Her home is lovely and in a very serene location in VT - a wonderful escape from the noise and light pollution of bigger cities. We had a total blast hanging out on her property visiting the alpacas, meeting the fellow guests staying in other private rooms, and observing Lauren make homemade apple sauce from apples she picked that morning outside the house! Couldn't recommend staying with Lauren enough! We hope to visit again in the future!

Just across the hall is your private bath with soft towels and a spacious bathtub/shower combo. We live on a horse farm, and also have pigs and chickens on the property. We also have a second bedroom with a queen bed available on the first floor of our home.
We are also very close to other large trail networks, including the famed Appalachian Trail. If you prefer water sports, we are nestled in between the Connecticut and White rivers and close to several lakes.
  • We had a wonderful time staying at the farm - and the very best thing was having delightful conversations with the hosts. They are wonderful people and their hospitality is truly amazing.

    Virginia2016-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Bonnie and Mark are like old friends. Welcoming and natural without fuss. They are hardworking vital people of culture. Their home is a work of architectural and craft art. It's truly Impressive what they've created, yet it is a comfortable unpretentious home for family and friends. The scenery surrounding their home is an over the top panoramic masterpiece of eye candy of green meadows, forested hills as far as the eye can see. A pastorial haven with well cared for and loved horses, pigs, chickens, cats and dogs. A delight for animal lovers. The vintage stables, barn and animal shelters are clean and well appointed. We were fortunate to meet a few of their friends who board horses with Bonnie and come to ride in their two impressive indoor and outdoor arenas. There are also two hiking and riding trails behind the house. If one's friends reflect who we are, this speaks well of Bonnie and Mark because their friends were also fun loving easy going and engaging people who were lovely and interesting people in their own right. We shared great conversation with everyone. The sleeping room was large, with a comfortable bed with a warm fluffy comforter and good pillows, a must for me. There were bathroom goodies in case we left toilets behind. They offered us a meal but due to time constraints we opted to eat breakfast on the road which may have been a mistake because my impression was that Mark was probably a seriously good cook.

    GERALD2016-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Bonnie and Mark are wonderful hosts. Everything about staying at their home is extra special- the beautiful house, the quiet and peaceful location, the magnificent views, the quaint Vermont towns to explore and the beautiful horses grazing outside your bedroom window. We love staying there!

    Rose2016-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I stayed here for the weekend and had positive experience, as this was our first stay through airbnb. Bonnie and Mark were extremely friendly, helpful, respectful and down to earth. Their easy going attitudes made the stay quite comfortable. We had the chance to visit the horses in the stable and were free to roam around the country property (the dogs and cats were quite friendly too.) The home was clean and we enjoyed the layout, as its openness caters to the beautiful views and scenery. Our bed on the second floor was very comfortable and the ceiling fan above is always a bonus. Our bathroom was spacious, clean and up to date. There were also baked goods and coffee for us in the morning. We were free to come and go at our leisure, and Bonnie and Mark made our stay a pleasant one. Hoping to go back again sometime!

    Brian2015-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house with great views. Clean room on second floor of house with clean bathroom with amenities and clean towels. Muffins and coffee for breakfast. Host easy to work with for arrival times and leaves breakfast for you if your not around. I would def stay again longer next time.

    Lydia2015-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely home and loved all the chickens that followed us around like puppies! Was a little surprised by the number of people living in the home, but everyone was most cordial and respectful. We were all happy to spend the evenings watching the Olympics! Would be happy to return given another visit to the area.

    Karen2016-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • This stay exceeded our expectations. Bonnie and Mark were lovely, and took time out of their busy workweek to make us feel totally welcome. Their property is breathtakingly beautiful, and the Dartmouth campus is a very quick drive, with plenty of food and people-watching. The house is likewise beautiful and spacious, with a very comfortable bedroom. Nice and quiet, but for some chickens quietly clucking away outside. We couldn't have asked for more!

    Winston2016-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • We felt right at home! The home itself, as well as the view, was spectacular. Very clean living space, very welcoming family. Couldn't have had a better host or experience overall!

Private, simple bedroom and private bathroom with shower in the quiet home of a single, professional, gay man. Open kitchen and use of laundry included. Shared semi-formal living room is a great place to read or relax with a glass of wine. The house is less than a mile from the I-91 & I-89 interchange (and near US 4 & 5) but on a quiet side street and surrounded by lawn, gardens, and towering oak and maple trees. Friendly, laid back host is a former innkeeper getting started with Airbnb.
Located in a one-story addition at the back of the house, the bedroom has a double bed, comfortable chair with reading lamp, and a small closet. The private guest bathroom is adjacent to the bedroom via the hallway. Sheets and towels are provided. The kitchen was remodeled in 2015 and is available for use. Coffee from the K-cup machine is included. The house has a small private patio and a porch for relaxing outside in warm weather.
This is a quiet street with large distances between the houses. The village (one mile away) has excellent restaurants, several art galleries and shops, a brewery, two food co-ops (it is Vermont!), a cartoon school, and the must-see Main Street Museum.
  • Wonderful one-night stay in a great location! Great communication, clean directions/instructions, and Todd was very personable though we didn't get a chance to talk much during out short stay. Spacious, spotless, quiet, easy trip to local destinations. I didn't get a chance to use the kitchen other than to enjoy the coffee but I have serious kitchen envy! Todd's place is on a vacation route and I will definitely stay there again when I want a side trip on the way.

  • The first floor room is private and clean with a double bed and access to a private bathroom. The house was located perfectly - we were able to easily explore both Vermont and New Hampshire, as well as the small town nearby (White River Junction). The house is really lovely with beautiful flowers outside, easy parking, and great WiFi. Even when we needed to arrive before the normal check in time, Todd was extremely flexible and stayed in contact with us for both of our days to ensure everything was going well. We absolutely would recommend staying with Todd if you're coming to the area!

    lily2017-08-25T00:00:00Z

The room and adjacent bathroom were comfortable and meticulously clean. They are separated from the main part of the house which helps provide some privacy. I would certainly recommend Todd to others. Thanks, Todd!

Also, 1 king size bed in the 2nd bedroom and 2 full size beds (each fit 2 snuggly) in the 3rd bedroom sleeping 10 guests comfortably and if you include the 2 extremely comfy couches the house sleeps 12 guests. There is only seating for 7 in the living room (the pictures are missing a comfy chair). There is seating for 11 in the dining room and kitchen. (8 sitting on the repurposed barn door dining table and 3 at the island bar)
The Lake Fairlee area is one of the most beautiful places in Vermont. Golf at Lake Morey Country Club, yoga classes & horseback riding (just ask me) or Swim, Kayak, Canoe, play volleyball and tan in the sand at Treasure Island. Hike, Bike, snow shoe, and cross country ski the Rivendell Trail system. Hot Air Balloon rides at Post Mills Air Strip. Cross roads farm for fresh food. Blueberry picking at Wild Hill Orchard on Middle brook road. Enjoy hiking and swimming at Union city dam. Norwich farmers market Saturdays 9-1 on route 5. Huge snowmobile and ATV trail system. Hanover, NH for shopping and Dartmouth Hitchcock hospital and Dartmouth University 20 min away along with Dartmouth ski way for snowboarding and skiing. My favorite restaurant close by is Stella's in Lyme NH and the best supermarket in the area is Hannaford Supermarket in Bradford VT but also there is Bakers General store down the road which will do if you don't want to drive very far at all.
  • One of the best Airbnb I lived in! The place is easy to find with good garage. Very spacious house with all necessary amenities. Clean, tidy and cozy. Really good experience

  • An absolutely fantastic time! 10/10, would recommend to any family or group of friends trying to get away for a weekend.

  • Kyle is a fabulous host! He is quick to respond, very friendly, and super understanding as well as thoughtful. The house was stocked with everything one could ever think of needing and the location was pristine: rural yet close enough to town to get necessities. The views from the deck are picturesque, especially when hot air balloons take flight, and sitting around the campfire every star in the night sky can be seen. The Hillcrest Manor is a hidden Jewel. Thank you Kyle!

    Anna2017-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very awesome stay! Really enjoyed how accommodating Kyle was! The views and surrounding area was absolutely stunning, would absolutely recommend someone staying there!

  • This was the first time I've ever used AirBnB and I can't imagine a better place or host than Hillcrest Manor and Kyle. Beautiful property with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills. We saw hot air balloons lift off from between the trees and sail over the hill all 3 nights. The house has all of the room and comforts for a large troop and is stocked with anything you would need. Great kitchen table for games and cards. Perfect perch for a fire pit that appears to put your head in the stars. Super comfortable heavy wooden adirondack chairs on the front deck with a great view of the hills was probably my favorite spot. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants an authentic Vermont experience. Thank you Kyle! A true gentleman.

    Jayson2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • The place was easy enough to find (make sure you have the address in your GPS before you get off the highway, service is spotty until you get to the house). Everything was exactly as Kyle described. It was clean, organized, and beautiful. The deck and the view can't be beat, the bedrooms were big and comfy (and easily accommodated a group of ~10), the kitchen had everything, and the grounds were so fun to explore. Kyle is super helpful, and we'll definitely be back!

    Jackson2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend, Kyle and house was amazing

    James2017-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Kyle's place. There was plenty of room for our party of 10. The area is so peaceful with lots of room for the kids to roam around. Already trying to plan a return trip.

Two miles from the Dartmouth campus, our home offers privacy and magnificent views. Borrow our kayaks in summer or snowshoes in winter. Sit out on the deck or dock with a glass of wine. The bed is queen size, the room and bath are totally private with tub/shower combo. Off street parking is included and we are near a bus route. Continental breakfast also provided. We are pet and smoke free. A lower level room with pull out couch, TV and half bath may be available for a third guest at $30 extra.
We live directly on the water with views from almost every room.
We are two miles from Dartmouth Green. Located on three acres fronting the beautiful Connecticut River, our property is private, yet not far from town.
  • I stayed for a week with Dick and Melanie while visiting my children in college. Dick and Melanie reached out to make me feel at home during my stay. I know that I now have two new friends in the area. The small private room has an attached private bath. It is impeccably appointed. The bed is very comfortable. I had to hold a few video conferences during my stay. I set up at the kitchen table looking out over the beautiful backyard and river. The wifi is excellent. Delicious coffee and breakfast was offered in the morning although, due to jet lag and breakfast plans I often had to pass and the hosts took no offense. Late in the evenings when I returned, I enjoyed watching the US Open with Dick in the living room outside my room. The location is excellent--only 5 minutes by car from Dartmouth. Wonderful hosts. Thank you!

    Linda2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful experience from beginning to end staying here! Melanie is a gracious host. The bedroom is perfectly located right near the entry and kitchen so we felt at ease accessing everything we needed. The bedroom is clean and quaint with a comfortable mattress and room darkening shades. The private bathroom is connected to the bedroom - a plus in the middle of the night! The deck offers superior views of the Connecticut River, and we spent some time on the dock resting after a busy day. This is the perfect place to stay if you are visiting Dartmouth. We were there for sophomore family weekend, and you can't beat the location so close to campus. The Wifi works perfectly for texting and internet, and although cell service doesn't work for calls, Melanie offered her land line if needed. Coffee and continental breakfast (including homemade banana bread :)) were excellent and much appreciated. Melanie is excellent with communication, and we felt an instant connection with both Melanie and her husband, Dick. We will definitely book in the future when we are in town.

    Kimberly2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful experience. Friendly, welcoming hosts that are interesting people who have done interesting things. The room space was small but the bed was comfortable. Furnishings throughout the house are comfortable and homey. The view off the deck of the river is wonderful and for the full experience go sit on the dock at sunset. Dick and Melanie will give you a Modern Pop before you head down. Nice breakfast that included good coffee, homemade blueberry muffins and fresh peaches. Melanie even shared some great salt caramels her friend made. Terrific attention to detail and warm, friendly treatment from start to finish. Highly recommended.

    Jay2017-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • My only complaint about Melanie's place was that I couldn't stay longer-- a beautiful home in an amazing location right on the river, and a great host. Outstanding!

The Spooner House was built in 1782 by Paul Spooner, lieutenant governor of the Vermont Republic. It has since enjoyed a diverse history as a resort, boarding house, working dairy, and private residence. The Atwater room is the master suite featuring a fireplace, private bath with claw foot tub, shower, and a luxurious king sized bed. A simple breakfast of homemade pastries, granola, yogurt, fresh fruit, boiled (local) eggs is available on weekdays. A full breakfast is served on weekends.
The Atwater room is spacious and comfortable. We named it after the woman who saved the house from demolition in the early 1990s and spent years restoring it. This is the master suite featuring a fireplace, private bath with claw foot tub, shower, a luxurious king sized bed and, this just in, a record player! We provide towels, shampoo, conditioner and soap. 2 kayaks are available to use at the nearby lake.
Clay Hill is a quiet agricultural area. There are a number of working farms along with meandering trails, the North Hartland Lake, and the villages of Quechee and White River Junction are each about 10 minutes away.
  • Denise and Jason were the most welcoming hosts. They have a truly beautiful home, the room felt like a five star hotel and they made special breakfasts in the morning. Our stay here was our favourite of our trip and I couldn't recommend it enough.

    emily2016-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our stat was fantastic! The hosts were so kind and had tons of advice about places to check out. Go on the weekend ; the breakfast is great!

    Elise2017-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed the rural atmosphere and appreciated the attention from Denise and Jason.

    Mary2017-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Denise, Jason, and their family! We arrived on a chilly evening but were warmly welcomed and Jason even offered to build us a fire in the fireplace in our room! A brisk walk in the leaves along their quiet road in the morning whet our appetites for a delicious made-to-order breakfast! Denise and Jason were wonderful hosts and made us feel welcomed and comfortable throughout our too-short stay. We will definitely have to come back and next time, I hope to add some pieces to the puzzle they were working on as a family!

    Betty2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Spooner house was a fantastic place to stay! My husband and I were passing through Vermont and were hoping to stay in a quiet and peaceful spot not far from Woodstock and White River Junction. The Spooner house is set among picturesque Vermont farms with a spectacular view of the mountains. The house itself is equally as lovely, with historic character and modern utility wrapped into one. Our room, attached private bath, and lounge area were cozy, clean, and spacious. We were a short drive to shopping and dining, but our best meal was the homemade breakfast the hosts prepared for us! Denise and Jason were thoughtful and friendly, and we were so impressed by their attention to detail. They have really set the Air B&B bar high! We look forward to staying with them again in the near future.

    Marian2017-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jason and Denise were amazing hosts and the house is beautiful. My husband and I were looking for a quiet and romantic getaway and their home was perfect. Jason made a fire for us our first night, breakfast each morning, we loved the vinyl in our room and the bathtub. They let us borrow their skiing equipment even! So great, we will be back! Thank you guys!

    Kimberly2017-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Denise and Jason made sure that our stay was comfortable, and convenient, and I would recommend their home without reservation! Jason was so kind as to stay up late to greet us (and provide helpful directions) even though we didn't arrive from NY until almost 11:30pm. Their home was charming, clean and exactly as pictured. My fiancé and I only wish we could have stayed longer!

    Bob2017-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • A thank you to both Denise and Jason for a lovely and welcoming stay. The room is even better than the pictures. A note about the hosts, I was in a pinch for some early evening events on the day of checkout and they graciously accommodated me with a late checkout and use of the room to get ready. It was an enormous help and I found them both super flexible and easy going. The home is a short drive to all things Quechee and apprx 10 min to Woodstock. Really lovely home with an interested cat and happy go lucky dog. Thanks Jason and kids for the donut! I would absolutely stay here again.

I'm located just 2 miles from Main St Plymouth's quaint downtown, which offers numerous dining options, pubs, coffee shops and great, small town shopping. My open and welcoming home borders conservation land with a small pond and walking trails nearby, and lots of wildlife. Plymouth is located in the White Mountains, and borders the Lakes Region. Close to rock climbing in Rumney, loads of hiking, skiing/boarding, snowmobile trails, and fishing/recreation at nearby lakes, rivers and ponds.
Your room is is on the second level of the house, and furnished with a new queen bed, side chair, two bookcases with a selection of reading material, and a room length bench seat with quaint windows opening into the cathedral ceiling of the living area below. There is lots of natural light, and skylights above the bed to take in the stars at night! You have your own, recently renovated bathroom, with a full tub and shower on the main floor of the house. For an additional fee, I can add a single futon to your room for a third guest, or as a second bed for a party of two sleeping separately. Please message me for details. Make yourself at home on the property and in the house, go for a walk, explore downtown, or take the day to hike, climb, kayak, ski, or shop.
I live on a quiet road, just 2 miles from downtown and Plymouth State University (please note that there are no streetlights on my road). My property is next door to a horse farm and pastures, and also borders conservation land to the rear which allows space for peaceful exploration. Easy access to I-93 has you to Loon Mountain Ski Area or Waterville Valley Ski Area in about 30 minutes, and Cannon Mountain Ski Area in less than 40 minutes. Additionally, there is snowmobile access in numerous, local areas.
  • Great place to stay! Close to quaint main street in plymouth and also accessible to major retailers as well. Trish's home was a great jumping off point while visiting the white mountains. Restaurants are abundant in plymouth and offered great convenience for a quick vacation. Her home is very comfortable and welcoming.

  • This cozy home is nestled in the beautiful countryside of New Hampshire with rolling hills, flowery pastures and majestic forests in every direction. It's quiet, peaceful and comfortable. The home itself is chock-full of character. Tish was easily accessible, and very warm and sweet to meet in person. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for seclusion and peace.

  • Fantastic cosy farmhouse. We were warmly welcomed by Tish and felt so comfortable during our stay. Just perfect to relax and recover in the evening from our hiking 'adventures' in the beautiful mountains during the daytime. We would have stayed longer if we would have more holidays left.

    Lisa2016-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Tish (and the gaggle of animals on the property) made us feel at home right away. Her home is in a convenient area near Plymouth's outstanding restaurants. Most importantly, the bed is amazing. We slept great! We would definitely stay here again if traveling around the White Mountains.

  • What an amazing host! The house is beautiful and Evelyn is the nicest person possible. She's very accommodating (my friend and I were driving up from NYC, got incredibly lost, and didn't get in till after 1AM, and when we got there she asked us if she could make us anything because we must be hungry!) and just so nice. She knows a lot about the history of the house and area, and lives by a WATERFALL! We had a great time and would definitely stay there again :)

    Carling2011-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Evelyn's historic farm house. The setting is beautiful. She made great quiche for breakfast and had Peet's coffee! Comfortable and beautiful place to stay, only 2 miles from S Royalton. I also loved hanging out with Tsunami the friendly cat.

    Sarah2016-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • First of all, Vermont is the nicest place I have been in USA. Staying with Evelyn gave me a true experience what is like the life in the small farms there. The house is amazing, very clean, and with lots of antique furniture and objects. Evelyn is a wonderful host, and made me feel really welcome. I will go back there in my first opportunity. Don`t miss taking home the homemade jam she has, they are delicious!

    Mayra2014-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Evelyn was a welcoming and helpful host, and the accommodation and hospitality that she provided was wonderful. The bed and room were large and comfortable. Our privacy was well respected, yet Evelyn was often around for a friendly chat and willing to provide helpful local insight whenever we were after it. The breakfasts that she provides are delicious! Highly recommend this host.

    Loren2014-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful time. Evelyn makes you feel right at home. She was warm and welcoming from the start. The house is historic, and I felt as though I was living through a period of history in our country. Evelyn was very accommodating to my diet, and made a lovely and delicious vegan breakfast. I hear that she also makes great pies. I highly recommend staying at the house on your stay in Vermont.

    Odette2015-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks Evelyn for the great stay. Liked the homemade breakfast quiche and large room. Good long walk to Royalton to the magnificient Worthy Burger. Take a torch and jacket for the trip back if you go!

    Angus2013-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • I was not able to stay with Evelyn, due to a malfunction in the data processing systems at the US/Canadian border which disallowed us from crossing until the next day. The messages I was able to get and send to her (I had no phone service or WiFi at the border that evening) seemed like she was an attentive host who was willing to wait up for us, even though I was unable to communicate with her later. For all Canadians going into the States, it might be a better idea to book a refundable option in case of a border issue, at least for the first night. Even though I could not stay with Evelyn AirBnB policy means that I lost the full amount of what I spent to reserve a room.

    Abigail2014-08-15T00:00:00Z

Solar-powered, this off-the-grid refuge sleeps up to five guests, in the same party, in a large lofted upstairs bedroom (Queen and Bunkbed) with private bath, and a pull-out futon downstairs, also with separate bath. A traditional Russian masonry stove with a bread oven keeps the Cottage cozy when the nights get chilly. A fully outfitted kitchen awaits one’s culinary whims, and an outdoor grill is available for outdoor dining on a 1000 square foot deck overlooking the pond.
We like to think that East Topsham is the 'wild west' of (eastern) Vermont. This rural little pocket of the Green Mountain State is undeniably special.
  • We loved the privacy and peaceful setting of the cabin. It is beautiful and we enjoyed swimming in the lake, hiking around the farm and visiting the animals. Our kids and dog loved all the space to run around. The cabin is a beautifully constructed cozy timberframe cottage and totally off the grid. Dallas and John are lovely hosts and we enjoyed getting to know them and were happy to support the work they are doing on Galusha Farm. Can't wait to come back!

    Caroline2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • A picturesque Vermont getaway! This lovely little cabin on Galusha Hill Farm was our favorite place to stay on a recent New England fall foliage trip. The property is just beautiful, complete with a lake to canoe, woods to hike, and farm animals to visit. The cabin itself is rustic yet charming. We enjoyed sitting by the wood stove at night and looking up at the stars outside. In the morning we took a nice quiet hike around the lake. John was a very friendly, helpful host to my husband and me. I thoroughly recommend staying at this spot!

    Kate2015-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience at the cottage on Galusha Hill Farm truly exceeded our expectations. Dallas and John were fantastic hosts. They catered to our later arrival, provided a peaceful place to rest, shared fresh produce from the farm, and allowed us to explore their 600 acre property. There was really no reason to leave the property during our stay, provided that there are walking trails around the farm, a canoe and paddle boards for the lake, and board games in the cottage. But most importantly they were incredibly dog friendly, creating an even more enjoyable experience.

    Meg2016-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We were warmly met at the cottage upon arrival. Everything was set up and ready to go. They even dropped off some firewood and a hatchet for us to use! We had a great experience at this cottage and the property is beautiful. Highly recommended for a tranquil weekend getaway.

  • Dallas and John are awesome, welcoming and friendly hosts! They were super flexible regarding several changes our group had to make before arriving. They gave us a wonderful tour of their property and had great recommendations for what to do in the area. We'd love to stay with them again sometime.

    Morgan2016-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had an incredible long weekend at the Cottage. It's a beautiful and relaxing setting, and because it's set back from the rest of the farm, it feels very private. The Cottage itself is clean, comfortable, and has all the necessities, though we also spent a lot of time hanging out on the big porch, which overlooks a meadow and pond. Our dog came with us and had the time of her life. We used the Cottage as a base for a couple of day hikes in the White Mountains, and it was so nice to come back at the end of the day and have such a peaceful place to hang out. We also loved the lake, which is just a short walk from the Cottage. Dallas and John were the perfect hosts - welcoming, warm, and communicative, but also gave us plenty of space. Talking with them and meeting some of their animals was a highlight of the weekend. We hope to return sometime soon!

    Carly2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • We took our 3 kids aged 9-12 and dog for 2 nights screen free and off the grid. The cottage was fairytale gorgeous and the property was beyond scenic. Perfect place to reconnect and escape our hectic city lifestyle!

    Kimberley B2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • When my 12 year old daughter wanted to go on a camping trip with friends for her birthday, I was pretty psyched to talk her into an off-the-grid Airbnb instead. Galusha Hill Farm looked beautiful and rustic from the website, but you really have to go there to experience what makes it special. Hosts Dallas and John made us feel welcome from the start, making the extra effort to decorate for my daughter's birthday, make a welcome sign and leave us some s'more fixings. We were in the log cabin (which blew the kids' minds), with a beautiful view. It comfortably fit the four kids and me, and I could have easily brought my husband, as I had a queen bedroom to myself. (Not complaining!) Because it's a log cabin, sound travels, but that wasn't an issue. The cabin has a fireplace, but no TV, and all the furniture is comfortable and well cared for. The place was spotless, and we had fun making meals (there is a full-sized kitchen), playing board games, exploring the farm's trails, and jumping in the lake. (OK, kids, not me.) We were very sad to leave; I could easily spend a week here and maybe venture off the farm to explore the surrounding areas. Dallas and John were so warm and urged us to contact them for anything; they even gave the kids a farm tour the next day, where they saw piglets and sheep and the farm cat and dogs. They were in heaven! We can't wait to go back, if just to breathe the beautiful air up there and slow down again. Thanks, Dallas and John!

Fun themed bedroom in our home on a quiet residential street. Lots of storage space, comfortably quirky. Great for a long-term stay; weekly and monthly discounts available. Plus it's the perfect springboard for foliage, hiking, biking, day trips and more! We have extra bedding and sleeping bags if you'd like to add another guest to your booking; a twin floor mattress may also be available by reservation :) Check our reviews-- lots of people return-- and our other listings at this location too!
This is our home... we love it and according to most we keep it reasonably tidy. At the same time, we lead rich lives and try not to stress if things get backed up now and then. Rest assured that our listing rooms and linens are always cleaned before the arrival of each new guest. Same goes for the guest bathroom upstairs-- however, it is a shared space and may at any time reflect some use! If we're around, please let us know if it needs attention; if not, there are cleaning supplies in the hall closet just outside the bathroom :) There are still a few places in our home awaiting renovation, mainly in the way of “finishing touches”. Each area has full functionality. PLEASE NOTE: If you book within 24 hours of arrival, we may not be able to clean your room until the late afternoon. You are still welcome to arrive as early as 1 p.m. and use the facilities.
Beautiful tree-lined street with plenty of space between houses, kind neighbors and very little traffic. Large supermarket, drug store and other churches and stores within 2 miles, including the famous Farm-Way outdoor outfitters, gift shop and more. There are also several parks in Bradford: Elizabeth’s Park... Huge playground that families come from miles around to enjoy. Denny Park... Gazebo and green space in the middle of downtown with views of the White Mountains. Boch Park... Also downtown on Main Street, overlooks the dam on the Waits River and its beautiful waterfall!
  • Review x2! They are the best hosts! Thank you Don and Jennifer!

  • I had a wonderful stay at Don & Jennifer's. The entire family was friendly and welcoming. Their yard is also quite large, perfect for letting the dog run around. I would stay here again.

This cozy and quiet studio apartment is located right in the heart of historic town Woodstock, a village named "The Prettiest Town in America" by Readers Digest. Come down from your studio stay and you are right on the main street amid wonderful shops, our friends Vicki and Shannon's coffee shop next door and Vermont's only National Park just down the street. Your stay comes with a free $10 gift card for breakfast downstairs each morning you are with us. We recommend trying "the local"!
Our studio apartment is part of Woodstock's only downtown coworking space. We operate together with the Tendencies Guesthouse who owns the building and the Soulfully Good Cafe just next door which we love! We have three floors dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs and changemakers in our community. During your stay you will have the entire third floor to yourself and you will have free access to the second and first floor of the Optimist Center as well. Come downstairs and enjoy the comfy chairs, join us for a yoga class or brainstorm on our whiteboards. Everything is free and included in your stay.
Our studio is located right on Central Street, the same street with all of Woodstock's wonderful shops and restaurants. We are also less than a 5 minute walk from our local supermarket and general store, a 10 minute walk from historic Billings Farm and the serenity of Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Park, Vermont's only National Park. We are a 5 minute drive from the small slopes of Suicide Six and a 20 minute drive from the famous steeper slopes of Killington.
  • Loved staying in the studio -- perfectly centrally located, nice natural light, very clean, and extremely comfortable bed and setup. Hope to be back.

    Eben2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • The studio was clean and cozy and was in a great location right in the downtown area. The gift card to the cafe was such a thoughtful touch. Would very much recommend staying here.

  • Travis is truly a wonderful host, very genuine, kind and thoughtful. The place has a lot of offer, right in downtown and close to everything. Travis and Tunga, thanks for preparing the gift card, fresh fruits and all kinds of snacks while showing me around town. I loved the candles in the room, it was really relaxing and quiet at night. Great experience visiting Woodstock, spending time with the hosts and staying at the center, plus Travis is really "the person" to meet in town: very well connected within the community, and able to offer insightful advise on places to see and what to do, great person to talk to. Thanks again, for driving me to the train station, very kind and generous.

    Alyssa2017-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Well, that was amazing! This was my first experience booking through Airbnb but I know that Travis must be one of the best host out there. I messaged him before booking and the response was almost immediate. I had waited till the last minute to book that that was not an issue. I was amazed by the location, right in the center of town. So many great locally owned shops right as you walk out the front door. My favorite was the cafe next door. I used the $10 gift card left in the room to paid for my delicious breakfast. And the best part of the stay was using the AppleTV provided in the room to stream from my iPhone. I can't thank Travis enough for the wonderful stay. Highly recommended. I will be back!

    Jonathan2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • This studio really has it all. It is a gem in the heart of Woodstock. Travis was incredibly responsive and accommodating. It was a great home base for adventures and also a wonderful cozy spot on a rainy afternoon. The bed was super comfortable and you can't beat the convenient location. I will definitely be returning!

    Suzie2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful town. Travis was great.

    Bruce2017-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Travis is a great host. He bought my wife and I a cake for our anniversary (it was soooo good) and stocked the loft with snacks and waters. Oh and about the property it’s a nice little studio apartment above an awesome cafe in downtown proper Woodstock, great location.

    Francis2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great, clean, central spot...would definitely go back when visiting Woodstock VT. Travis and Tunga were friendly hosts and left clear instructions for everything. The apartment was in a central location to walk around town and comfortable to relax in during the rainstorm. Thank you!

  • Fantastic place to stay! One of the nicest AirBnB experiences I've had. Highly recommended, super close to Dartmouth and downtown Hanover. Great room, great house, and super nice host.

  • Jane's house is at a very convenient location, only 3min drive or 20min walk from Dartmouth campus. It is also very quiet at night, good for taking a rest after a long day's activities and recharge. Also, Jane is a very friendly and accommodating host; she made the house warmly candlelit when the power was accidentally out.

  • I have travelled all over the world with Airbnb but this has by far been my best experience. Sharmila and her family were very generous and kind hosts, welcoming me with a traditional Nepalese scarf and even a free dinner (which was delicious)! The room was clean and had all the essentials, including clean towel, soap and shampoo. The bed was comfortable and clean as well. In the morning I had coffee and breakfast waiting for me at the kitchen table! All I can say is that Sharmila and her family exceeded all of my expectations of hospitality and generosity. This will be my go-to Airbnb for whenever I am in Lebanon here on out. Five out of five stars.

Our homestead is a peaceful oasis nestled in the mountains of eastern Vermont. Get away from it all, yet be close to everything Vermont has to offer year round! Minutes from Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH and King Arthur Bakery/School in Norwich.
Nestled on a wooded hillside at the end of the road, our newly renovated home has four available guest rooms--two single occupancy bedrooms on the second floor, and two double occupancy bedrooms on the third floor of the house. We also have a cabin listed through airbnb which sleeps up to 4. Each bedroom is listed separately on Airbnb, so if you are interested in more than one room, or a different sized room, please see our other listings. This bedroom listing that you are viewing here has a twin bed, and is located on the second floor, just steps from the upstairs bathroom. All rooms include bed and bath linens, and access to two full bathrooms (one with a large stall and rain-shower, the other with a deep soaking tub--we also have a lovely outside shower available during warm months). A self-serve breakfast of locally produced foods is also included in nightly rate. Our open living/dining room area is naturally well lit with views across the valley and woodlands. The house is sited above the confluence of two streams, and has a large south-facing deck, screened porch and stone patios, offering space for relaxing or working outdoors. High speed internet and wifi are available, but no television. Cell coverage is poor at the house, but a land line is available for domestic calls. We have a friendly Corgi, a shy Great Pyrenees, a rescue poodle-ish pup and one gentle cat. Many wild birds visit our feeders year round. In the summer, our house is surrounded by perennial and vegetable gardens, and a growing orchard on the hill above. Our property is adjacent to the Appalachian Trail Corridor and is contiguous with Land Trust and town forest, offering access right out our backdoor to miles and miles of trails for walking, hiking, mountain biking and cross country skiing. Each season offers opportunities to glimpse wildlife and birds. We are located 9 miles from the I-91/ I-89 interstate junction, within a short drive to Dartmouth College/Hanover, NH, Woodstock, VT, as well as many ski areas and local attractions. Driving times from Boston: 2.5 hours; NYC: 5 hours; Montreal: 3.5 hours. Public transportation from Boston, New York and Burlington/Montreal (trains and buses) are available to nearby White River Junction. You will need a car to get around, as much of Vermont and New Hampshire is rural with little to no public transportation. There are a number of rental car agencies nearby in West Lebanon, NH/White River Jct, VT. There are many restaurants within a short drive (15-30 minutes). We hope you will consider our home, Solheim ("sunhouse" in Norwegian) for a beautiful Vermont mountain retreat within easy driving distance of many northern New England attractions and activities year round.
We live at the end of a dirt road up in the mountains in east central Vermont. Although our home is surrounded on three sides by protected forest land with abundant trails for hiking, skiing, snowshoeing and mountain biking, we are only an easy 10-15 minute drive from several towns in the Upper Connecticut River Valley. White River Junction is 10 minutes down the river of the same name, and has grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, etc… It is also the junction of I-89 and I-91. Just up I-91 one exit from White River Jct is the village of Norwich Vermont and Hanover, NH.
  • We cannot say enough about our stay at Alexandras place. Imagine waking to a warm and cozy kitchen, the aroma of fresh brewed coffee and classical music playing, and offerings of homemade granola and fresh Vermont yogurt as well as fresh eggs. Alexandra and Martha were interesting and lovely to talk to. We walked to the Appalachian Trail from their place and enjoyed the views of fall foilage. We also rented bikes in nearby Lebanon and rode the Northern Rail Trail. We highly recommend!

Come stay at our comfy house on the edge of the picturesque village of Newbury, Vermont. We're surrounded by hundreds of acres of woods and extensive flower gardens. You'll have the first floor pretty much to yourselves. We put out a breakfast of home-made jam and bread, yogurt, granola and fruit.
Our guest room is off the mudroom away from the rest of the house. It looks out into the woods and back garden. It's very quiet and secluded. We built the house 30 years ago and the house and gardens have been our hobby ever since. We love sharing it all with others.
Newbury is right on the Vermont, New Hampshire border, so the village has views of the Connecticut River and the White Mountains. Our house is at the end of a short dirt road within the village limits. We are secluded and surrounded by woods, but just a minute drive down into the village.
  • Really enyoyed staying at Louise and Marv's home. It was very comfortable and they were both very accomodating. There was a large den with television and roaring fire which were very inviting. The guest room was private with a remodeled bath. We ate breakfast in the light-filled dining area. Although it was a rainy day, it was apparent that the yard was a show stopper in the blooming season. Thanks for such a great stay!

  • The Harrison home was exactly as advertised. It is surrounded by lovely gardens and provides guests with a quiet and restful beauty. The Harrison home is a 15 minute walk to Newbury, a lovely quintessential Vermont village. The Harrison are welcoming, friendly and helpful. If you desire a great Vermont get-away experience this is the place.

  • What a wonderful place to stay! The house is surrounded by beautiful landscaping, and inside is even better. The home is warm and inviting (much like the hosts), and although you feel like you're in a secluded location, it's only a few minutes to drive to the local store to pick up anything you might need. I would recommend staying here to anyone.

    Robin2012-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • What fun my daughter and I had at Louise's house! We cuddled with her dog Raney, swam in her pond, lingered over her magnificent breakfast of fresh berries and home-made granola, adored her garden, and slept like a stone! We couldn't ask for more.

Nestled on a wooded hillside at the end of the road, our cabin is a light-filled, peaceful and cozy retreat. Two sleeping lofts are accessible by ladder stair above the living area. One loft has a double bed, and the other loft has two twin beds. In the colder months, a Jotul wood stove is your sole source of heat--we'll get the cabin toasty for you before your arrival, and you manage the wood stove to your comfort level during your stay. A kitchenette with bottled water (no running water), sink, small fridge, an induction cooktop, dishes, and cooking utensils is available if you prefer to prepare/eat meals in the cabin. A "state of the art" Swedish composting toilet provides the basic amenities in the cabin. Bed and bath linens are provided. Full bathing facilities are located just steps away in main house. Many wild birds visit our feeders year round. We have Icelandic chickens that free range and lay delicious eggs (sometimes it's a bit of an egg hunt to find them!), and Swedish ducks that keep our garden free of pests, and provide endless entertainment. • My stay with Alexandra and Martha was a wonderful experience. The setting is idyllic: a mini-farm tucked between steep hills in the Vermont woods, surrounded by lush forest and abundant bird life, with the Appalachian Trail less than half a mile away. The cabin appears to have come straight out of the pages of a fairy tale. The breakfasts were abundant, healthy, and delicious, and I loved the rain shower--very relaxing at the end of a long day. Alexandra and Martha were very helpful and accommodating. I was attending a four-day conference with meetings in various venues, and it would have been hard for me to find some of the locations without Alexandra's detailed directions. I also really enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about permaculture, a form of "beyond organic" agriculture. I hope to return someday!

    Wendy2014-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastically restful stay--the hosts are friendly and thoughtful, and the setting is marvelous; we particularly enjoyed being able to walk out the gate and onto the Appalachian Trail. Would definitely return--highly recommended.

  • I arrived late in the evening after work and was greeted by a glowing wood stove in the cabin! Couldn't have asked for a wamer welcome. Once again (I've stayed at the cabin several times), Alex and Martha were some of the kindest hosts and extremely accommodating to my unpredictable work schedule when I was in town. They had the most delicious coffee ready for me each morning. Each time I've stayed at the cabin I've been in the upper valley for business, but it has always ends up feeling like a vacation because of this incredible, as I tell people "magical", mountainside retreat. Couldn't have been cozier for a trip to New England in the fall. Looking forward to returning on my next trip to the East Coast!

    Samantha2015-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Alexandra and Martha were the kindest and most hospitable hosts. Not only did they make sure I had everything I would need for my stay, they also made for great morning coffee companions when I was waiting to on my fiend to wake, and visa versa for her. The cabin is completely private, though some things are needed in the main house, which is totally accessible and still gives you a sense of privacy. The location is a gem. It is everything someone trying to find a change of pace wants. The cabin itself was absolutely charming and is perfect for a couple or a family, without one another being right on top of each other. If I can make it back up here again to catch the foilage, you better believe that Martha and Alex will be the first people I contact.

    Garrett2016-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Alex and Martha are fantastic hosts. I couldn't recommend them highly enough. The two of them, and their daughter B, are exceptionally warm and genuinely care to make your stay a lovely one. I stayed in the cabin while taking a course at King Arthur Flour. The cabin is well appointed, very comfortable and tidy. I'm not always one to be comfortable in strangers' homes, but Alex and Martha mean it when they say you're welcome in theirs. I used the shower and bath in the house, both very clean and relaxing. We had breakfast together a few mornings, excellent eggs and even better conversation. The walking and hiking nearby is phenomenal and right out the door. Even in the early spring there was plenty of nature's beauty to appreciate. Lastly, Alex and Martha welcomed me after a most challenging time in my life and their kindness will always be remembered. I consider myself blessed that I was able to meet them, however briefly.

    Heather2016-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing experience! lovely people! Such a beautiful property. The cabin was so cozy and the beds were so warm. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. We will be back!!

  • My boyfriend and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Alex and Martha's beautiful cabin. It was a perfect New England get away. A simple but delicious breakfast was provided each morning which we could enjoy overlooking gorgeous forest. Our hosts were kind and lovely to be around- the perfect combination of hanging around to chat while also giving us space on our vacation. We spent one night in their kitchen enjoying each other's company and delicious brownies they spontaneously made us for dessert. We definitely will be back and have passed on the information for this Airbnb to many friends. Thank you Martha and Alex!

  • Alexandra and Martha were the most gracious hosts. They made us feel incredibly welcome in their home and did everything they could to make us feel comfortable. Their property, and the cabin, was beautiful and peaceful- far exceeded our expectations! If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing get-away for a few days, I highly recommend this place! We can't wait to return :)

Our cozy, quiet 4-room apartment is perfect for a single person or couple. It's an ideal rural location for visiting Dartmouth College (9 miles) and Dartmouth Ski-way (3 miles), along with access to hiking, biking, lakes, and the Connecticut River. Though the apartment has a full kitchen, there are several good restaurants and pubs nearby (1 mile), plus a neighborhood restaurant within walking distance that serves breakfast and lunch.
Our private apartment is attached to our home. It has its own entrance and is self-contained. There is lots of closet and drawer space, and the kitchen is fully equipped, including a coffee maker, microwave, stove, dishes, etc. Wifi is available throughout the apartment.
A post office, grocery store, restaurant (serving breakfast and lunch), organic farm stand, bank, and gas station are all within walking distance. The Connecticut River is 3/10 of a mile down the street and we're surrounded by farmland. Across the river is Lyme, NH (1 mile), which offers three excellent restaurants and pubs.
  • Jennifer was an excellent host, the suite is well equipped and quite comfortable. Quiet area for great night sleep, and located close to the Interstate make it easy access. The Wi-fi was decent in the kitchen, otherwise weak. I would have no problem staying there again.

    Jennifer2017-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer's place was excellent and she is a fantastic host. My wife and I were in the area for a family visit, and Jennifer's place worked out perfectly for us. The communication/check-in were smooth and easy, and the apartment was very comfortable, clean, quiet, and perfect for our needs. We would definitely stay there again.

  • Jennifer's Airbnb was great value; it was clean, quiet, and very spacious. It was definitely more than my boyfriend and I were expecting! Jennifer was an excellent host. She made check-in super easy and truly cared about us having a comfortable stay. The wi-fi wasn't super reliable initially and she even purchased a new router for us to use which was extremely nice and worked very well! Jennifer even left a bottle of wine and some breakfast foods for us to enjoy which were appreciated. Vermont was not a far drive and the area was beautiful. I can imagine that in the summer and fall it's stunning. I would highly recommend staying here and will do so if I come back.

    Salma2017-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer was incredibly welcoming! We had a spot of car trouble and she was helpful in finding resources, on top of the already easeful, graceful, kind welcome we received. The place was clean, well stocked, and exactly as pictured. Overall extremely easy experience, and look forward to staying again. Thank you!

The place itself is so charming and quiet, with plenty of room and furnishings for a comfortable family stay, and our host was especially lovely to speak with: so considerate and helpful, we really felt this was the best of the airbnb hosting experience. We would recommend it highly to anyone looking for some idyllic time in Vermont!

  • We had an absolutely comfortable stay at Jennifer's place over the weekend on a summer weekend in August 2017 to visit the White Mountains National Park in neighboring New Hampshire. The apartment was very clean and well maintained. She had tons of good books in case you are interested in reading. The apartment overlooked the mountains and had a really nice view. Thetford is pretty close to Dartmouth college area so there are tons of good restaurants and eating places within 15 minutes driving distance. I will certainly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to spend their time in the area.

  • This was my second time staying at Jennifer's place and it was just as great as the first time! My dad and I picked Jennifer's Airbnb from the experience I had last time I stayed with my boyfriend and were still very happy with it. Jennifer is an excellent host; super friendly, welcoming, and communicative but also gives you time to recoup. Her Airbnb is extremely clean and comfortable. She even left us some food for breakfast and a bottle of wine to enjoy as I was moving into the area. It's a short 5-10 minute drive from King Arthur Flour, Dartmouth College, and many other attractions. There are some restaurants within walking distance as well and it's a quiet, safe area. This is definitely going to be my "go-to" spot in the area as it's perfect for any length of stay.

  • Great place close to downtown Hanover, NH. Host was easy to communicate with through the whole process. Only thing to consider is that if it is warm weather the upstairs does not have A/C so it can get warm.

  • Best AirBnb experience ever! Gloria's place is clean and beautiful in a tree-ful neighborhood. The room is actually the whole top floor and has a bed/nightstand as well as sitting area. There is also a sun-porch you can use to read or sit out on with coffee. Very peaceful. The neighborhood is really quiet and just a 2-minute drive from Dartmouth's campus. There is also a designated parking spot. Gloria is very helpful and welcoming. I highly recommend! Great experience.

  • Less than a mile walk to Dartmouth campus, exactly what I was looking for. The walk was nice with sidewalk nearly the whole way. Room was as advertised and it was nice to meet Tucker, and comms with Jude leading up to the visit were perfect. Thanks!
