  • I really enjoyed staying in Veronica ' s cottage. The weather was poor but she had the fire lighting for us, lovely brown scones waiting and milk in the fridge. Very thoughtful. If it's peace and quiet your after with beautiful scenery in every direction, I can't recommend this place enough. It's beautiful! And with ponies, sheep and a few hens outside the door, it only adds to the feeling that this is rural Ireland at its best. Great for the soul. I'll be back.

  • Veronica and her husband were very sweet and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and had all we need. We had nice ocean views, and Veronica also offered us breakfast. I highly recommend it! Although we couldn't find the house immediately, Veronica called us back and gave us directions again. However if you follow the directions in the description you will reach the house with no difficulties (we took another road to come)

  • Wonderful house, stunning location and the loveliest, most helpful hosts you could ask for. I look forward to returning in the near future, a home away from home

  • The place was a wonderful retreat to relax. The surroundings of Veronicas place with the sheep farm and view of the sea was absolutely nice. We had everything we needed and enjoyed cooking in the light kitchen. I would recommend to anyone staying here!

  • If U love spending holidays in nature Devlin House in Devlin North is a wonderful location. Our morning started with sounds of lambs demanding 'food' from their owner. Even though our hosts Richard and Veronica were a bit apologetic, we all expressed our delight at being hereWe appreciated how hard it is to work in a farm that is on the rugged beautiful scenic Wild West Atlantic Coast of Ireland. Our hosts are very caring and pleased to help and guide. Route to Galloway is full of stunning scenery. Anyone who is a keen walker , cyclist and surfer will be most delighted to be here that we miss in city life. Trip to adjoining small towns such as Louisberg and Westport is well rewarded by excellent food and Irish music. We drove to National Monument at Knock that is only 90 minutes away.

  • I had to cancel the reservation the day of arrival because I was sick. Veronica immediately proposed to find a replacement date. The communication beforehand was perfect and I hope I will actually have the chance to stay at Veronica's one day. Olivier

  • Very nice house. Recommend it to everyone wlth a car. Beautiful landscape.

    Jonas2015-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice cottage in a farm very close to a nice beach. Everything was exactly as described. It's just a little bit hard to find lonely but Veronica guided us by giving us precise information and we finally find the house quite easily. Veronica is a great host, she was very kind and even brought us some traditional irish music CDs and a deck of cards when we asked her. We therefore appreciated that Veronica's house is next to the cottage, so that she is very available Thank you for all

  • Fabulous holiday! Loved the house, the walks, the village, the people, the scenery.....

    Sinead2016-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing holiday home! As soon as we entered we felt right at home. The house reminded me of being a child over in Ireland during the summer holidays. Ideally located in a cul-de-sac at the far end so there are no cars passing by and only a short walk from the village! Lovely open kitchen diner where we spent most of our time. A great beach a short drive away as well. If you're looking through places to stay, look no more! Would happily recommend this home and Elayne was always an email away when I had any queries. Thanks for a wonderful home away from home! x

    Jason2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Elayne's house is very spacious and comfortable within walking distance from Louisburgh along well lit paths. For families with young children there is a playground closeby. It is a great location to explore Mayo with many beaches and mountains close by. Ideal base if you want to hillwalk or surf. There is surfing on Carrowisky Beach about 10/15 mins drive away. We would recommend early bird menu in Sage restaurant in Westport if you want to treat yourself to a special meal out ( though not for families with young children). A trip to Clare Island to climb the mountain is well worth doing.

  • We didn't see Maggie, but she was verry reactive by email (it's not very convenient since there isn't internet in the house). Her neighbor was verry kind and usefull. The house is like descriptions. The living room is spacious to have dinner or to spend time together. It's near to the village - 10mn walking - where we can find everything (pubs, shops, pharmacy, restaurants). It could be perfect if there was internet in the house to plan our trip. Otherwise we has to go to the pub for internet. It's Maggie holidays house, so there are a lot of things like sugar, salt, vinaiger ... but we didn't know if we could use them or not. It should be helpfull to have a list of what we can use for example.

  • A great stay at Maggie's wonderful cottage. It's the family holiday home and is a lovely, quirky corner of heaven. The location is perfect for exploring all the adventures of Mayo - we hiked, cycled and climbed the county. From Croagh Patrick, to Achill and then scaled the majestic Diamond Hill. We were so sad to go, and cannot wait to come back, and would love to stay here again. Communication was great, key pick-up perfect, and the lovely Geraldine was there to show us around. Made to feel very welcome, my wife and I and lads - our 3 sons and 2 boys over from France on student exchange. They are returning home with great memories of the Wild Atlantic Way and the beautiful and rugged west coast. A perfect holiday.

We spend a good time with our friends and we discovered the north of the Connemara ! We recommend this house for sur !

  • Great open plan house. Playground a stone's throw away. Very convenient to shops in Louisburgh and beaches only a short drive away. Only downside would be the lack of tv stations for rainy days and tv and dvd players could be more modern. Otherwise a great house for a holiday in a beautiful part of Ireland.

  • Johns place is as it is described great place to stay for those who want to see the wild atlantic way

    Shane2017-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed there with our 20 year old son and we really enjoyed the comfort of this place and the convenience of being next door to the back carpark of the hotel and overlooking a nice little river. It's also just around the corner from pubs and shops etc. From there to get to other places by car it's very convenient. We communicated with John by Airbnb email and he left the house open and key at the table for us on arrival. We checked out doing the same. We never met John in person but he was very kind and always available by text. The place was spotless clean and with everything new and ideal for a short or even longer break for around 6 people. I particularly liked having two toilets (one with a shower upstairs and one without downstairs). Perhaps as a suggestion it would be good to have some toiletries available (at least hand soap and dishwashing soap). There is also no real view from the house but as you walk out you find the little river and the main incentive is that it's located only about 5 minute drive from Carrowmore beach. All in all a vey pleasant stay. Thanks John! Ximena

  • Maggie's place is perfect for two families, we were two couples with two children each, and there was still plenty of room. The house is big and its old-fashioned furniture give a king of cosy atmosphere. It is a 5mn walk to the sea and a 5mn drive to Louisburg where you can shop, eat. I strongly recommend the place. It was easy communicating with Maggie before our stay and after.

  • Staying at Berni's was like staying with an old friend. She offered us a cup a tea and a wee chat as soon as we walked into her house. From her years of Bed and Breakfast experience, staying at her house had both a formality with a beautiful laid out breakfast as well as the ability to kickback and relax. Berni is very aware of what different guests need as well as the cultures they come from. She's incredibly accommodating and loves being able to show off her wee part of the world. GO WITH HER SUGGESTIONS!!! I promise you won't regret it.

  • We stayed over a weekend and it just wasn't enough time to enjoy this wonderful house and the stunning location it's in. The house has everything you need, perfect for a group of friends or a family. Very close to a lovely little pebble beach. We definitely plan on coming back for a longer stay next time.

    Aoife2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is a lovely place to stay. The house is exactly as pictured, with comfortable furnishings and well equipped kitchen. We did not have children with us. But the house would be good for families because there's lots of space, inside and out. Louisburg is a sweet little town, and there's lots of things to do in the surrounding Clew Bay Area. We followed some of the host's walking advice and were rewarded with beautiful bay views, gorgeous sunsets, and magnificent stars. We climbed Croagh Patrick (well, 2/3's of it), found the lovely Bertra Beach, and went out in a boat on the bay. Really wished we were staying longer!

    Barbara2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here with my two daughter's aged 12 and 16 with their two friends in July. The house is in a lovely setting - five minutes walk to a small pebble beach - not too far to walk into Louisburg which the children did on several occasions. The house is a great space for a family - the decor and bedding very comfortable and modern. You are secluded and it is very private. A car is a must for the area - Louisburg is an extremely friendly little town - some great pubs with good music and children are very welcome. Local beaches are only 5 minutes away - or 10 minutes the other side of Louisburg. All in a all we had a great trip here and would definitely return. Stephanie

  • Great location for exploring local beaches such as Old Head & Carrowmore. Recommend the Country Kitchen for food in Louisburgh and the Sage restaurant in Westport. House has everything you need and is ideal for families. Close to Croagh Patrick, the greenway for cycling and a host of other outdoor activities. All in all would highly recommend.

  • It was a very enjoying stay. The house was lovely and in a safe area with only a short walk to the beach.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Paul's holiday home--it is has a terrific location so we were able to hike Croagh Patrick, visit beautiful beaches, pop into Westport for a little town-time and drive out to Achill Island. The house had everything we needed to make our family vacation comfortable, easy and enjoyable. Paul was great at communication!

  • Great weekend in this lovely house in Louisburg. Perfect location just a short stroll in to the town. The house is very homely and comfortable. It had everything we could have needed. We will definitely be back.

  • Beautiful family home. This is our second time staying in Paul's home. What a wonderful place for a family weekend away - to climb Croagh Patrick, enjoy the beach and the beautiful village of Louisburg. Highly recommended.

  • We had a lovely time in Louisburgh staying at the Crannogs. Very clean house and modern house that was close to town and all that the area has to offer. Everyone was so welcoming and owners Paul and Niamh were great. Highly recommended!

Our house is a comfortable home -from-home in a quiet setting with stunning views including Croagh Patrick and the Sheffrey mountains . There are 4 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms . It is fully equipped and is only 1K from Louisburgh Main Street and beach.
Our house is well equipped, spacious and very comfortable -it is a home from home rather than a holiday home . It sleeps 6 ( inc children) and this is how the basic price is calculated . Price varies according to season. However, for an added charge it can sleep 8 -10 people in 4 bedrooms. There are 2 double queen beds ,2 single beds, and an additional substantial double king futon and a double airbed. Two of the bedrooms are en suite and there is a family bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped inc dishwasher. There is dining area and a wood burning stove , a glorious sun room looking over Croagh Patrick , a sitting room with open fire and a utility room with washing and drying machines. Outdoors there are lawns for playing and sitting out and behind the house is a field . A BBQ is available.
If you are looking for a peaceful totally relaxed environment in Co Mayo, West of Ireland, with its natural beauty, stunning views and pure air, this is it! It is the home to many artists and when you see the light and dramatic scenery you will see why. The Wild Atlantic way trail includes Louisburgh. We are within walking distance to the town (1.5km) with its one supermarket and several pubs ! Also a mobile fish van twice a week and a once weekly local sale of eggs preserves and breads. There is a small tourist shop and information centre( summer) , a small hotel and coffee shop ( summer ) a cafe , and 4 restaurants . Louisburgh hosts several festivals including traditional music. The local beaches are lovely with white sand and swimming is safe although cold! It's famed for its surfing and pier jumping. Galway is an easy day trip away and the pretty town of Westport is 30 minutes away. There are many lovely walks and cycle rides . Bikes can be hired and fishing kayaking and horse riding trips can also be arranged . In the Summer there are local foraging walks. We are only 1.5km from Louisburgh Town which has been recently refurbished to take full advantage of its exceptional views of the Atlantic Ocean and the islands which form the entrance to Clew Bay. The countryside is ideal for walkers, anglers , cyclists and climbers but is also wonderful for simple downtime and relaxation.
  • Amazing!!! We arrived at the house on a beautiful sunny day and were met by the caretaker, a lovely local woman, and she showed us around. The directions Elizabeth gave us were perfect. I input the coordinates to my phone and it took us to the door. The surroundings of the house are idyllic. It is peaceful and beautiful. The views are stunning. You could walk to Louisburgh town or Carrowmore beach within ten minutes. We used the car as we had children with us. The house itself is beautiful. It is a real home. Everything is accessible and we were made to feel welcome to use it as our home for the duration of our stay. And we did. The house was the perfect base for any activity one might want to experience including walking, cycling, surfing, socialising or just relaxing. Louisburgh is about 25 minutes drive from Westport. Although Louisburgh is far more authentic. Old Head beach is a couple of km away but Carrowmore is far nicer in my opinion. The views across to Achill are stunning and nothing beats the scenery in this part of the world. Killary is about half an hour away on The Leenane Road. But I doubt anyone could drive out there without stopping a million times just to look!!! Elizabeth is the perfect host. She made it clear that she was available if any problems should arise or if we needed any assistance. We had the perfect holiday. I can honestly say we did not want to leave. My daughter had the time of her life, as did my wife and I, and I hope we will be making more regular trips in the future.

    Ken2015-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • The host gave us loads of useful information, particularly great places to eat and things to do with young kids.

    Stuart2015-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely relaxing break with our 3 children. The information booklet provided was very useful. The house was very clean and comfortable and well equipped.

  • We found this to be an all round, first class experience. We were delighted with the cozy warm comfy home. It is a must return to stay at Elizabeths home, and the wonderful area.

  • great house in a nice Irish landscape, Irish caretaker is a gentle woman by the name of Kathy, who assured us to help when ever necessary, but it wasn't! Everything you want from a holiday house.

    Eric2014-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Elizabeth has a beautiful house that me and my family felt very lucky to call home for a few days. The house is bright, cosy and has lots of character...from the beautiful rugs, comfy couches and nice art work on the walls! Also a great selection of CDs and DVDs to unwind too after a hard day exploring the surrounding beaches and mountains. Also Cathy the caretaker was very helpful and nice to my family.

    Sean2014-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • The house was just as described, peaceful, cosy and well equipped with all one needed. Elizabeth provided very comprehensive details regarding the location, the usage of appliances etc., and suggestions for places to visit in the county. We were met by a very helpful and friendly caretaker who ensured that we had all we needed. Elizabeth provides a very well stocked library of books and DVDs. The bedrooms are comfortable and living areas are large and well furnished. It is obvious that this is a well loved home and one senses the generosity of the owners in all aspects of the house.

    Helen2015-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay, the house is perfect - very peaceful and has everything that you need. Lots to see and do nearby - in particular, some amazing beaches. Elizabeth was really helpful throughout. Would love to come back again in the future.

Holiday Home on the Wild Atlantic Way near mile long sandy beaches. Spacious, comfortable house with loads of rooms for the whole family. It is a home from home rather than a holiday home. Seasonal prices between 64 and 98 Euro. There is something for everybody to do in Louisburgh. While Dad has gone fishing, Mum can collect some fresh Mussels in Killary Harbour and the kids can do some other kind of "Surfing", not on the Net, but on Carramore Beach with its white sand and turquoise blue water.
Entire house with ample front and back garden. Garden house with seating and BBQ facilities.
Within walking distance to a magnificent blue flag beach - Carramore Beach(15 minutes walk or 3 min drive) is just outside Louisburgh on the Wild Atlantic Way. Silver Strand, Carrowniskey ( great for surfing) Old Head Beach are other blue flag beaches close by. Swimming, surfing, hill walking, mountain climbing, fishing, biking, kayaking, horse riding - all nearby. Leenane, Killary Harbour, just half an hour away. Westport 20 minutes. Connemara with its beautiful scenic drive/ cycle or take the ferry from Roonagh Point to Clare Island or Inisturk- all on your doorstep. Louisburg is truly a hidden gem .
  • We were three people staying at Valeries place and it was great. Very beautiful house with all equipment that is needed. Close to the charming town but still in a quiet place. Clean and with a nice garden also. Valerie is a great host that respond quickly.

  • Very pleasant stay in a comfortable well equipped homebuyers a quiet area. Location perfect for travelling around especially Louisburgh, Westport, Clifden. Would highly recommend.

  • Valerie's home is comfortable, cozy and has everything you need. It was clean and kitchen was well stocked. Wifi worked great the whole week, the beds were all comfortable. The house was much larger then we thought. The yard is beautiful. The village is an easy walk with shops, pubs and a few good restaurants. Beach is very close by. Valerie was easy to work with and communication was brilliant. Highly recommend Clew Bay House! Thanks again again Valerie!

    Carole2017-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • The house is wonderful. Much bigger than I had expected. We arrived very late and left very early and this was not a problem. The beach is a bit far to walk to at least for us with 2 young children. Valerie was not around when we were there but she checked in via SMS and when we had issues she arranged for the ladies helping her out to come over to address these. There was a very detailed manual on how the heating and water system worked. Washing machine and tumbler were there and available which for us was great. What would have been helpful was some information on the area, restaurants, places for music etc. We enjoyed our stay, unfortunately the weather was not so good.

  • Bretas home is amazing. It was perfect for us and was spotless. The location was also brilliant as we drove around each day to visit westport, go horse riding, visit leenan. Some breathtaking views and beaches only a few minutes drive from this beautiful house. Westport house is a great day out for all the familly. Beds were super comfy and showers were excellent. Big spacious kitchen and sitting room. We really enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return very soon in the near future.

  • This property is absolutely divine and the photos don't do it justice. The house itself is lovely with two beds and two bathrooms as well as a wonderful large 'room' that covers off on everything. The fireplace is warm and welcoming and the view to the garden, hills and ocean is lovely. To sit and have a cup of tea and watch the birds surround the bird feeders was brilliant. Breta was a great host with full instructions on everything and we had no problems. The welcoming gifts were appreciated. Would highly recommend.

    Mark2017-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great holiday in Breta's woodland house. The house is recently built and in great condition, really clean with a lovely garden and views of the sea. We really couldn't find fault with anything. The bed was so comfy, even the bed linen was so soft and comfortable. Breta went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She's a very warm and friendly person. She had homemade buns, chocolate, fruit, bread, milk, butter, jam, beer & cereal left for us. She was so thoughtful, there were lovely storybooks left in our little daughter's bedroom. We would highly recommend a stay at Breta's place. We had a wonderful time.

  • Absolutely stunning cottage, very clean and with lots of space. The fireplace is amazing and Breta provided everything we needed for a cozy fire in the evening. The location is quite remote, which really gives you the feeling of being on holiday, away from it all. I can wholeheartedly recommend this cottage, it's an amazing place to spend your holiday!

  • Highly recommend, this is a little gem in a fabulous location. We really enjoyed our stay and Breta was a wonderful host, she had left such a lovely welcome package with brown bread muffins and she even had books laid out for our daughter. We couldn't recommend highly enough :)

Sunroom with views of Clare Island. There is a spacious dining and kitchen area, with dishwasher, which leads onto large garden. Askelane is a quiet rural village, roads are safe for cycling and walking.
  • Aidens place was in a gorgeous quiet location. You get the feeling of being really remote yet the little town is not far at all. It was tastefully decorated and very clean and comfortable. Lots of room and comfy beds. My kids especially loved access to movies as it was rather rainy on one of the days we were there. Great beaches near by to check out and very picturesque. Was just what we were looking for. Aiden was very quick to respond to our last minute request to check in and lovely and welcoming. Highly recommend!

  • This cottage is wonderful and a lovely place to stay. Aiden is a great host, showed us around explained how everything worked and gave us a restaurant recommendation as well as leaving fresh scones. The cottage has everything you need and is cozy and so nicely decorated. We would highly recommend it!!

  • Peaceful...calming...quiet bleating of sheep. Aiden met us when we arrived and showed us around. It was a treat to find scones and fresh duck eggs waiting for us on the kitchen table. Would highly recommend a stay if you are looking for tranquilty and a short walk across the counry hillside to the beach.

  • Fantastic updated 3 bedroom cottage/home. Clean, well-appointed, and central to the piers to Clare and Inishturk islands. Very near to Louisburgh (5 minutes by car). We enjoyed the bookshop in Louisburgh (Books@One) and had a wonderful meal at The Country Kitchen (cash-only, no alcohol license so you must bring your own for your meal). If you can't find what you want in Louisburgh, Westport is only minutes away. The Cottage has all the amenities one would want. Newer kitchen and bathroom. Several seating areas and well-furnished. The owner displays some of his photography on the walls. Very talented. The best part of this home are the scenic views. It is a very relaxing place to unwind. Highly recommended.

    Joe2017-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • This was the absolute perfection. Perfect check in, perfect place, perfect host. Aiden recommended a nice pub 20 Minutes away from the place and it was indeed excellent! I would give a more than 5 stars review if I could!!

  • Lovely cottage in a very beautiful part of Ireland. The cottage is very spacious, clean and looks amazing. Aiden was very helpful and gave us some good advice on places to visit. Would highly recommend this as a place to stay.

  • We arrived late into town and Aiden was accommodating enough to come meet us and show us the way to his place. The house is beautiful-very well crafted. Very peaceful setting. Only downfall is that the bed is a bit hard. Other than that, the house is great for seeing Westport but still having a scenic setting.

Old Head is one of the hidden treasures of Mayo. The complex is ideally suited to families seeking a brief respite from the daily humdrum of city life. It is a safe environment occupied in the main by other families. The beach is cove based, so is safe for all water activities like swimming, body boarding and the popular SUP.(stand up paddle boarding) On site there is a Coffee/Ice Cream Cafe along with a "Local". The site has a tennis court and children's swings. Very good fishing from the Pier.
The mobile is situated in an "Old Orchard" with only the one entrance in and out making it very safe for children. Outside the door is an old tree with swings for the children to play on. It has a lovely community spirit as nearly all these mobile homes are owner occupied. It takes about 3 minutes to walk to the beach where in fact you have the option of 2 beaches. You can walk to the beach without having to walk on the road which again with children is a real bonus.
  • We really enjoyed our stay here. A real home from home with everything you'd need to enjoy your stay. Three bedrooms gave us ample space and we never felt crowded or tripped over each other. A family friendly location situated conveniently for this part of the beautiful west coast of Ireland. The Old Head Cafe was good and food top notch. The ice creams were huge. Village of Louisburgh only 5 minutes away with several bars and a gala supermarket. Corrib petrol station was good too for provisions. Great hosts with Wendy and Brian who couldn't do enough for us. Hope to visit again someday.

    Ed2017-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy's mobile home is very spacious, has all mod cons and is in a brilliant location. The beach is really only three minutes walk away and is a fabulous amenity to have. Great choice for a family break where quality family time (vs TV & Wifi) are a must !

This is an absolutely fabelous traditional cottage set on an acre of land close to the village of Louisburgh. The cottage is not overlooked and very private and tastefully furnished. Its an ideal location for family and friends wishing to explore this beautiful part of the country.
There is an open plan living room area which has high ceilings and exposed beams. It has a beautiful open fire which is set in a natural stone fire place and granite hearth with plenty of comfortable seating area so you can sit back and enjoy your few days off. The morning sun fills up the front of the house and open the door to the lovely garden and mature trees for peace and tranquility. Also a salmon and trout river runs at the back of the house. It is close to town and all the beautiful beaches louisburgh has to offer and you can have the best of both worlds basing yourself from this lovely traditional Irish cottage. All the furniture has been hand made from resalvaged wood including the beds kitchen dressers etc. Its simple, non fussy but very cosy and much loved and has lots of character simply filled with Irish charm!
Ronagh quay 4 miles. Murrisk 8 miles, Westport 14 miles. The village of louisburgh is located on the Bunowen river and is designated as an area of outstanding beauty. Surrounded by lovely scenery. Boasting three blue flag beaches Bertra, Carramore and nearest being Old Head Beach. Surfing is very popular as is paddle boarding pier jumping or simply lie out and listen to the sound of the Atlantic waters. The location is close to Sheaffry and Mweelrea Mountains and of course the famous Croagh Patrick which is a great fun day out for a climb. You can go to Clare Island the ferry leaves from Roonagh Pier, this is an inhabited island and a great day out. Also the green way is accessible from Westport all the way down to Achill if you fancy a long cycle. You can rent bikes locally.
  • The cottage is very located in picturesque countryside. It is very spacious in size, 3 generous bedrooms and a fabulous bathroom. Ideal for a soak after a cycle on the Greenway! The cottage is warm and cosy. Irene is a friendly host who couldn't do enough for us, she met us in Louisburgh and brought us out to the cottage. A fabulous place to explore Mayo from. Don't hesitate to book.

    Marian2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great place if you looking for the traditional irish cottage vacation experience secluded but short drive to great walks and site of the west coast. Pictures on site dont do justice to the place. It is actually much nicer than percived from the photos. Espescially the bathroom!!! We loved it.

  • This is a beautiful cottage set in a fabulous part of Ireland. Close enough to explore Mayo in depth but secluded enough to feel you are alone in the county. We really enjoyed the cottage it was everything that was advertised and more, my only criticism of Irene as a host is that she doesn't sell how amazing this cottage is enough! It is cosy and lovingly decorated, comfortable and perfectly clean. She even had the fire set for when we arrived back from exploring nearby Clare Island which is also a must in this area. Louisburgh is no distance away and has everything you need to stock up for a cosy weekend away. We were also delighted to be able to bring our little dog who loved checking out the nearby beaches of which there are plenty. A super find and great value we will definitely be back again :) Thanks for everything Irene! Catherine, Fergal & Ali.

    Catherine2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the cottage! It is actually more house woth cottage features so it was very roomy with plenty of space for the whole family to hang out. We'll be back!

  • We had an amazing stay at Harrys cottage. The house is huge and has nice feel of old traditional house. Both kids & dog loved the big garden around the house. We really enjoyed the spacious kitchen and living room area. The location is quite remote (all you will hear during night is nearby river and the occasional sheep wandering around) but it is easily accessible from main roads. There are many lovely beaches & hikes in surrounding area. Make sure to light the fire on one of the nights!

    andre2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely, spacious and well appointed cottage. Equipped with everything you would need to be a home from home. Set in beautiful and tranquil surroundings, it's a great base for walking. A car and/or bicycles is needed to go exploring. Croagh Patrick is a short distance away, there are plenty of beaches nearby and Louisburgh, the closest town, has plenty to offer by way of amenities (supermarket, chemist, restaurant, coffee shop and takeaway food). Irene looked after us fabulously by keeping in contact up to our arrival day and arranging to meet us in Louisburgh to escort us to the cottage. We would thoroughly recommend it as a place to base yourself for a break in the area.

Our house, 2 Old Head Wood, is feet away from a blue flag beach and Europe's oldest oak forest and is an idyllic beach house and getaway for those who like to spend time communing with nature and adventure but who also like being close to the bustling tourist town of Westport. ((URL HIDDEN) Our house is perfect for one or two families. It is a five bed roomed house, three bedrooms of which are en-suite. The living area has a floor to ceiling picture window.
Five bed-roomed beautiful beach house with three bathrooms accommodating up to 12 people. Balcony overlooking Clew Bay and deck out the back overlooking Croagh Patrick Mountain. This is our second home. It is a beach house in the West of Ireland at Old Head beach, Louisburgh, Westport, Co. Mayo. ((SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) images: Old Head Beach, Louisburgh, Co. Mayo). Louisburgh is the gateway to Connemara & from there it is only 1.5 hrs drive to Galway. The drive from Louisburgh through the Doolough Pass has been voted one of the 10 most beautiful in the world by Conde Naste. For those who want a little bit more than just swimming, boating and surfing there are at least two adventure centers, Delphi being the most famous, within easy reach of our house . There is a wonderful documentary done for the BBC in 2017 (Wild Ireland: The Edge of the World), by Colin Stafford Johnson, the Award Winning Nature cinematographer, who lives in Clew bay which is well worth looking at to give an idea of the true beauty and magic of this part of the world!!. Our house is in a spectacular setting on Clew Bay, a stones throw to the beach. Adjacent to our house is the OldHead caravan park which in addition to having a very good cafe with good wifi where you can bring your own wine, has a tennis court which guests are welcome to use (we have plenty of tennis racquets).. The nearest local village, Louisburgh, is 2 kms which is a lovely stroll or cycle along the back roads. Louisburgh is a heritage town & though small, you will find everything you would expect to find in a small country town such as a butcher, supermarket, hairdresser, post office, chemist, pubs and restaurants and news agency. 15 - 18 minutes drive brings you to Westport. This is a charming town and Westport is a popular tourist destination and scores highly for Quality of Life. It has also won the Irish Tidy Towns Competition three times in 2001, 2006 and 2008; In 2012 it also won the Best Place to Live in Ireland which is no mean feat. There is a brazier on the deck to sit outside on those starry nights!. The balcony off the living room is perfect for having that early morning coffee or that digestif before the sun goes down on Clew Bay!. If you wish to make your own music, there is a digital piano at your disposal & a large collection of music CD's. There is an open fire in the living room and, even in the height of summer, there's nothing nicer than lighting a turf fire and thawing out after a day spent surfing and swimming in the Atlantic Ocean! If you don't fancy watching TV or a DVD why not choose a book from the big selection available on the book shelves. The kitchen is off the living room and is fully equipped with everything one would expect with a new house. There is a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, micro-wave, double oven, sound system, toaster, and crockery and cutlery for more than twelve people. There is also a seating area in the kitchen with a sofa and coffee table. Off the kitchen is a lovely sun deck. The deck is south facing so is a sun trap and on a clear day you can see Craogh Patrick, one of Ireland's most famous mountains with its little church perched on top. There are recliners & a table and chairs outside on the deck for all that Al fresco dining you do in Ireland!. The living area is all upstairs to take advantage of the spectacular views. Our beach house is unique because not only is it metres from a blue flag beach but on walking the beach Croagh Patrick is visible at one end and at the other end there is the oldest oak forest in Europe which takes you over the headland giving spectacular views. The Irish speaking Connemara is only minutes away by car as is the famous 'tidiest town in Ireland' - Westport ! Galway city is a mere one and half hours drive away and if you fancy a bit of fine dining or afternoon tea Ashford Castle is only 50 minutes away.
  • It was amazing!!! We didn't get to meet Roisin but she welcomed us with a sweet note and a bottle of wine! We had such an amazing time bonding and having fun as a family. The home feels like you belong in it even though you're just a guest. If you can picture a classic family beach/camp home, that is the perfect way to describe it. Anything you need is included in the home, even wetsuits for the ocean and suggestions for eating out, and it's in a perfect location for grocery shopping and cooking in. I will most definitely be coming back to stay here whenever I'm in Ireland again. Tips: Climb Croagh Patrick! Well worth it and quite the accomplishment!

  • This is a really nice house in a remote location with amazing views and lots to do if you get the right weather. Great location for a trip away and reasonably well priced if you can fill the house with people. TV didn't work which was a bit of a bummer but would recommend to all.

  • Beautiful and peaceful location near to the beach. Wonderful views of the sea from the large balcony upstairs. The house was very warm once we turned the heating on and had everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay.

  • This is a wonderfully located spacious chalet type house with walking access to the spectacular oldhead beach, pier and woods. It is well equipped with lots of activities and facilities for families. We really enjoyed the spacious rear garden and decking, especially sitting round the outdoor fire looking at Croagh Patrick and playing table tennis! The hosts were very warm and responsive to a few things that cropped up . Thank you Roisin and John for a great place to spend a week.

  • If you and your spouse/family love the ocean, surf, walks, hikes, cycling, and great taverns, then this is the perfect "home away from home" to stay at while visiting Co.Mayo, Ireland. Ideally located, close to Westport, this house is a great base for trips and discovering Co. Mayo. You will feel right at home from the very first moment you walk into the house. We absolutely loooved it. Imagine coming home after climbing Croagh Patrick and sharing a lovely dinner in the spacious living room in front of a warm and inviting fireplace. We enjoyed tea on the balcony overlooking the ocean in the mornings and watching the stars over a glass of wine in the evenings. This house is spacious and perfect for family vacations! Roisin was amazing, very kind to offer a bottle of wine upon arrival and did a great job of communicating before and during our stay! Home is as exactly as advertised. We had an EXCELLENT time and would recommend for anyone to stay here. We even left a couple of fishing rods! Pollock awaits just a couple of minutes walk from the house!!!

  • I had such a lovely time at this charming cottage. Louisburgh is a gorgeous place lots going on, fantastic bookshop, quaint craft shops, lovely cafes. The beach is a stone's throw away, the Mayo mountains, horse riding, Westport town a shirt drive. Catherine was extremely welcoming, her house was tidy and cosy. She left us everything we could have needed. Communication was quick and she was very helpful with local information. Had such a lovely visit. Highly recommend.

  • Carmel is such a charming lady. She made us feel extremely welcome and her house is so cosy with a great homely feel. Bed is super comfy and breakfast is a real healthy treat. Highly recommend.

    Deb & Darryl2015-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Carmel was a lovely host. We had been in Louisburgh for a few days and she had no problem with us arriving early to collect a key, so that we could make the most of the day. We had use of our own bathroom, dining room and the bed was super comfy. In the morning we were greeted with a very elegant breakfast with a great variety of food including sliced meats, cheeses, wheaten bread, toast, yoghurt, and hard boiled eggs. We were only there one night so it may change, however, It was all presented very beautifully. We had a car, so as described the cottage is a three minute drive from town, but if you are wanting to visit pubs, expect roughly a 15-20 min walk or to need a taxi. We would have no problem recommending to stay with Carmel to any of our friends.

    Andrew2016-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Carmel's was really lovely. The bed is so comfortable and the room is very quiet. The area is really beautiful. And we cannot say enough about the amazing breakfast she made us each day. It looked so pretty, we almost didn't want to eat it. We recommend this place!

    Katy2017-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • We adored our stay with Carmel. She is the most genuine and hospitable hostess you could ever meet. Carmel's home is cosy, warm and comfortable but it is her personal warmth and charm that elevates this stay and makes it something really special. The breakfast she prepares is just beautiful and there is a great range of reading materials and local information. Carmel herself is a mine of knowledge about County Mayo and willingly helps you with your day trips and more. Louisburgh is a convenient base for exploration of this area which offers a great deal for travellers. This was a very personalised stay with a lovely lady who demonstrates Irish hospitality at its most open hearted. Thank you, Carmel. We recommend your accommodation without hesitation.

    Michelle2017-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay, very comfortable and peaceful. Carmel was an excellent host and put up a lovely fresh breakfast in the morning. Would recommend this place to anyone.

  • Carmel was extremely accommodating as we booked last minute and was so welcoming in arrival. The cottage is lovely and the room is very comfortable. We had a lovely time in our brief visit.

    Jamie2014-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Carmel is one the sweetest, most accommodating ladies we have met in a while. Our room was very cozy and although you are sharing the house with her, you still feel like you have your own space with the separate sitting room and private bathroom. We would love to be a guest of Carmels again someday. She made our visit to Louisburgh even better.

The house is very large, the view is beautiful when the weather is clear, Gaël & François are great hosts, very warm and welcoming, and one should not forget Ziggy, the enthusiastic dog. Perfect location to climb Croagh Patrick and walk around on the irish beaches. Hope we will come back!

  • Rita's house is placed in a very calm area, though very close to the beautiful part of western Ireland. Room was perfect for a family (2+2) with a separate bathroom. Rita is a great very friendly person, serving very good fruit breakfasts. Thank you for everything, we hope to come back in the future!

    Maciej2017-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed 2 nights in Rita's house. Rita is somebody who clearly likes good quality in her house; the sleeping room and the bathroom were very good and of high quality! The provided breakfast was also very nice. It should however be clear to tenants that one cannot use Rita's kitchen for preparing an own dinner. For us we learned this from earlier evaluations by former guests, and it is good to be aware of this. Finally Rita "guards" the silence in the house as she wants all tenants to have a quiet evening/night. On the one hand this is understandable, but it made us feel a bit 'not at home' and this is a pity as this is not -we think- what Rita's aim was.

    Johan2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • A comfortable clean house with a warm welcome in a spectacular area. Well worth a visit!

A recommander.

  • We spent one night in Kilsallagh during our trip around Ireland. The beautiful Rita hosts us for one night in her beautiful woodled house in the quietest hill over the town. Rooms are very comfortable and clean and beds are like an holy place for our back after 3 hours of cars. The breakfast was pretty awesome. Rita is a perfect hosts an communications are smooth. We had only a bad mistake make by airbnb, because we searched for 3 people but the booked room was provided with a double bed and a child bed, unsuitable for an audult. So we booked another room.

    Giovanni2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had pleasure of being Rita's 1st guests! Beautiful home and made felt very welcome. Great lady, very accommodating and helpful. Very relaxed, peaceful place, beautiful area and would recommend Kilsallagh House to anyone. Short taxi ride out of Westport, but very near Louisbourg which is a lovely little town. Looking forward to going back in the future.

  • Rita was a great host and made us feel totally at home and relaxed, giving us the local run down on where to eat/drink/visit etc. The breakfast was super with loads of freshly chopped fruit served. Numerous offers of cups of tea/coffee and even a lift into the nearest town, if we wanted to have a couple of drinks. Would absolutely stay again. A small bit difficult to find but we simply rang Rita and she sorted us out !!!

  • The house is a bit in the middle of nowhere, in a very quiet area but with no remarkable surroundings. The room is fair and breakfast is quite good. Rita was very kind to let us use her kitchen the first night though I'd mistaken the use conditions.

  • Rita's home respects faithfully the ad: it's tidy, clean, quiet and cosy. It's a little isolated but not so far from the main services and really near to Croagh Patrick. The host gave us a good suggestion for evening meal and took us when we arrived from the main road! Highly recommend!

  • Spent 3 nights here with my wife and 3 young children. It was a surprisingly spacious 3 bedroom mobile home. Within walking distance of a bar, cafe and a really impressive and safe beach. At the same time quite remote and quiet (nearest village would be 3km). The mobile home was very clean and had everything we required (including lots of TV channels). We did spend quite a lot of time in it as the weather was pretty changeable. I would highly recommend it.

  • Francoise and Gaele are superb hosts. we felt unstantly at home and like family. The house has a fantastic view if the bay, and the mountains. Loved it!

  • We had a wonderful stay at Francois and Gail's. Their home is lovely and modern and has a wonderful view of the mountains and bay - we caught it on a sunny day. It's a great location for hiking Croagh Patrick, which we did. They were very accommodating and offered good advice about the hike and the area, and even offered to lend us poles and store our belongings during the hike. Their dog, Ziggy, was also a big hit. Breakfast was good too. All in all a wonderful experience.

    Kaitlin2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed three nights at Francois and Gaels home. What a lovely couple. Very relaxed and down to earth. We had a lovely time at their beautiful home. Fab location and views. Our two boys had a ball there. They played board games with Francois and Gael. They loved Ziggy the dog. She is very friendly and great with Kids. I could'nt recommend this house enough. Great value and great people to sit down and enjoy a glass of wine with. Bathroom in our room was lovely. Very pleased with our stay. Would love to go back. Thank you Francois and Gael.

    Caroline2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay with Francois. The views from their home are spectacular. I had a spacious, comfortable en-suite room and shared use of kitchen & eating area. I had access to a large deck area with a view of the bay and mountains. What made my visit really special was the hosts welcome, friendliness and generosity of a care that while it was unobtrusive it contributed much to me having a delightful time. I would happily choose to stay there again.

    Nora2017-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Top, great welcome and great couple. The breakfast was royal with an amazing view over the bay. We had a ball with Gaël and Francois!

  • What a really lovely place to stay, the hosts were really lovely start to finish. They could not have done more for us! My two boys (10 and 12 ) loved their stay too and thought the family were really lovely! Thanks so much and we would stay here again for sure if in the area! Great experience!!

    Sarah2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Francois and Gaele were the most generous hosts you can imagine, you feel that they run this place because they love to receive guests. It is like arriving in a home of family or friends that you know for a long time. This was a wonderful experience and we are very grateful to them. The view from the house was glorious (despite the cloudy weather), and located very near to the start of the ascend to Croagh Patrick, Irelands sacred mountain. Very clean and comfortable rooms (one with bubble bath). I cannot imagine that it can get better than this. Ziggy was our youngest sons' favourite.

  • This was a perect location for visting Clare Island and climbing Clough Patrick. Our Hosts were very friendly and welcoming and accomodating to the children. Our rooms were comfortable and a lovely simple breakfast, which was as we would have at home . It was lovley to be spoilt for a few days whilst we stayed here, Francois and Gail were both lovely to chat to made us feel very at home.

  • The location of this place could not be more perfect if what you want is jaw-dropping beauty and delightful, blissful quiet. Louisburgh is lovely, and the bookstore is a treasure. Niall and Brid were so helpful and the house was a perfect getaway, with a great yard for the kid and great views for the adults.

  • Great stay at Gareth's place in Louisburgh. Communication with Brid, Gareth's neighbour, was clear and easy and meant that our arrival and departure were very smooth. It's an unparalleled location and we'd very much like to go back again soon. Thank you, Gareth!

  • Spectacular views from the house, incredible location. Don't miss this place if you visit Irish west coast, we loved it!

    Delphine2016-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time in Gareth's place. Overlooking the ocean with Clare island gave us magnificent vieuws. And our kids were enthousiasticly playing on the graslands around the house and looking for shells along the sea. And we got all sorts of tips and help from the very friendly neighbours Brid and Neil! So we highly recommend the place.

  • We had a great time at Gareth's place. Everything you need can be found in Louisburgh. The house is spacious, inspiring and the view is stunning!

  • We absolutely fell in love with this place and I still can't think of anything more mezmerizing than hearing the sound of the sea and sheep baa in the morning while we had our coffee in this incredibly beautiful panorama with the ocean in front and the soft hills of connemara in the back. Also from the inside the house is an allround pleasure with original 70s furniture (not the mattresses!) and all you need for cooking and feeling comfortable including a fireplace. The house is also very clean. Our gentil neighbours even managed to organize two bikes for us - so that we could explore the area by cycling. It is advisable to rent a car though - as the busses pass louisburgh very rarely. The house is located in a fantastic area as it is not far from the beautiful region of north mayo neither from breathtaking connemara. Though we did not meet Garreth personally, he was a great host. He replied quickly to all questions and left a welcome-beer plus some food in the fridge. We hope to come back to this gorgeous place. Thanks a lot Garreth, Brid and Neil!

    julia2016-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • We dubbed this house the Epic Cliffside. Sitting right on top of the cliff, you can see unobstructed for quite aways over the Bay, and also into the surrounding countryside. Note that to get to the home you do have to drive some smaller roads that we Americans would consider one-lane. :) But that added to the secluded away-from-civilization feel. And as much as we loved the house though, we loved the hosts even more. Brid and Neil were awesome and made this house our favorite airbnb on our trip.

  • Stale cigarette smoke in bedroom and unrestrained dog proved challenging.

    Marg2017-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Francois place, they were very helpful and so full of information about the area. They were kind enough to do a load of laundry for us, as we were soaked from the ferry across the Atlantic Ocean. They have a beautiful view. Careful of directions they aren't too accurate. The only negative comment is that even though they only smoke in one room, the odour travels throughout the house.

This room is one of three in the house. Continental breakfast provided. Beautiful country area 3 minute drive to the nearest beach, called "old head". A 5 minute drive to Louisburgh Town, 7 minute drive to Croagh Patrick. Ronagh Pier is a 7 minute drive, here you can get boats to Clare Island and Inishturk Island.
My house is located in between two towns. The first one, the nearest is Louisburgh Town. This is a 5 minute drive and has beautiful quaint traditional pubs. It has a fuel station, supermarket, a pharmacy and a post office. There are cafe's and a restaurant there also. The second town is Westport. This is a 15 minute drive away and has lots of shops, supermarkets, cafe's restaurants, bars. There are beautiful blue flag beaches all around the Louisburgh area. The nearest one to me is "Old head" beach which is a 3 minute drive away. The famous Croagh Patrick is a 7 minute drive away. The Wild Atlantic way passes the end of my road also, and takes in some breathtaking sights. Louisburgh area is neighbouring with Leenane village and Clifden town which is part of Connemara. They are beautiful places to go for a day trip to. Ronagh Pier is 7 minute drive away and here you will get boats to the near by Islands, Clare Island and Innishturk Island. The boats run daily to and from these islands so day trips are possible. if you wish to cycle The Great Western Greenway. There is a cycle route. 42km in length and travels between Westport and Achill Island. It is called "The Great Western Way "This is very popular with visitors. Bikes are readily available in various location in Westport Town.
My house is situated in such a brilliant location that makes it so accessible to all of the beautiful surrounding I have mentioned above. Nowhere is to far to drive or cycle to.
  • Lovely location close to beautiful scenery, comfortable, clean room with continental breakfast provided.

  • Rita was a fabulous host. Her home is clean, warm & welcoming. Highly recommend . Rita did her very best to accomadate us. Lovely breakfast also provided.

    Eugene2016-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Se spent one night in Kilsallagh during our trip around Ireland. The beautiful Rita hosts us for one night in her beautiful house in the quietest hill over the town.

  • Stayed at Rita's house this weekend with my three year old daughter while visiting friends in the area. Was just lovely!! Room was extremely clean, bed very comfortable (we both slept wonderfully!). Hospitality excellent. Rita welcomed us and was so nice to my little girl, even getting up at 8 to make us breakfast (although we'd arranged it for 9!! I think she heard us chatting). Thank you Rita we hope to be back again.

    Sinead2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Rita was friendly and helpful and the location and accommodation as advertised except for an important issue. Rita had advertised with "Kitchen" checked as an amenity and yet when we tried to arrange to use the kitchen she told us it was not available, except for tea and coffee. We looked up the AirBnB definition and sent her a message about this but she did not reply and we ended up not being able to use her kitchen for Kitchen = "Space where guests can cook their own meals" as advertised. On the other hand, she had not advertised breakfast and yet supplied a delicious breakfast every day. So clearly she is generous and wants to be helpful but just needs to pay more attention to AirBnB definitions of amenities. We felt that possibly the best explanation for what was a misunderstanding was that Rita was providing a traditional BnB, and advertising it on AirBnB not paying attention to AirBnB usages.

  • Beautiful house in a perfect location. Quiet and peaceful and just a few mins drive from some fabulous beaches in louisburgh, and 15 mins from the hustle and bustle of Westport. Rita was very accommodating as I booked this very late on the night I stayed. The room was perfect with a lovely candle lighting when I arrived. I chatted with Rita over breakfast as we discovered we had a lot to chat about! I would definitely stay here again

Wake up to the best view in the world (well, that's what we think). Bright modern home inside a traditional cottage - and the last house before fields, dunes, Emlagh beach, the sea and the islands. All mod-cons and comforts, sleeping room for 10, and half an acre of grass for playing in. And the views - Clare Island, Inishturk, Inishbofin on a good day, Connemara, Mweelrea (Connacht's highest point) and the Reek itself - are grand.
This cottage is comfortable, smart and family friendly. Two bedrooms have double beds. A third bedroom has a double bed with bunk over, and single bunks. Bedroom four has single bunks. There's a Futon in the sitting room that converts into a double bed too. You have access to all kitchen appliances - including a dishwasher. Cooking is electric. There is a washing machine and drier in a separate laundry room. Wifi internet access is free, and there's office space if you need it.
The cottage is just outside Louisburgh (shops, petrol, pubs, restaurants) and slap in the middle of the Wild Atlantic Way. You are walking distance to two big sandy beaches (Emlagh and Carrowniskey - a surfing hot spot) and a short drive to a string of others from Old Head (one of the most photographed in Ireland with Croagh Patrick in the background) to the extraordinary Silver Strand at the mouth of Killary Harbour. The Mayo coast really is a place to get out and about. Walking and climbing (The Reek, Mweelrea, Achill - or just round the lanes), Cycling (The Green Way), Water Sports, Angling (sea and river fishing) are all at hand. If you want to go out to explore Clare or Inishturk, the ferry goes from Roonagh, a mile away. And you're only 30 mins from Westport and some of Ireland's best eating, entertainment, and a fantastic golf course.
  • This place is absolutely wonderful. It is a five minute walk to the beach and is totally secluded. The house itself is spacious, well-furnished and well-stocked with everything you need to cook.

  • Thanks for the amazing letting Dave, great value and the location was jaw dropping. That view never got old, nor did the company of the cows and calves and a couple of hares. We thought the place was brilliant, the boardgames went down a storm, as did the dvd's, and the wetsuits for the kids, much appreciated. The beach which is not even a 5 minute drive from the listing was spectacular and really enjoyed by our family young and old. The location is perfect, you're not more than a 10 minute drive from shops and food. Your co-host and you were both easily contactable and very efficient in your communication, which was great. The place is a gem, best of success in the future with Airbnb. Duncan and Tara.

    Vincent2017-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • Dave's place is in an idyllic, rural location with fabulous views of the Atlantic and islands. The cottage is quaint yet has ample space for up to 7 people and is safe for children. It is very remote and a car drive is required to go anywhere. The access to the beach from the house is not an easy route - it is very marshy and difficult to navigate. The other route is a little longer. However the house is surrounded by beautiful spots with plenty of day trips available.

    Gemma2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • dave's house was perfect for a family stay. We greatly enjoyed the privacy while still being fairly close to large towns and villages. The house was large and comfortable for the 6 of us. Dave and Bea were very helpful and communicative whenever we had any questions. We would highly recommend this home.
