“Nice area for a stroll. There is parking all around lake (about 3.5 miles around). The Japanese gardens near the Ocean Beach Hwy side are a good spot to check out.”

Bar
“BBQ style food. My favorite is the smokehouse philly and the Ruben. They have a variety of BBQ meat platters and sides including Mac n cheese, potato salad, beans, coleslaw. They also have a wedge salad, Cobb, and I think a salmon one. Constantly rotating their beer & wine list. 21+ only. ”

“This is a small health-food store which has very good quality items. It is quite expensive but they carry most things that health-food stores carry except fresh produce”

“I have travelled all over the world and tasted coffee everywhere and you cannot beat Zojo's. This cafe is like a sitting room and is definitely a local meeting place. I go there every day. They are open 7-4 PM Mon-Fri and 9-2PM at weekends. They also have a drive through and internet cafe on Ocean Beach just round the corner.open all the time. ”

Restaurant
“This is such a cool place. It's down some stairs below the sidewalk on Commerce St in Longview. By day it is Gyros Gyros Cafe. At 4pm it becomes Bowers' Down Restaurant. Both are owned and run by a local farm to table restauranteur. You will be amazed at his locally sourced and hand crafted dishes!! He butchers his own meat from his farm. He's an endless source of entertainment and information. Highly recommend you call for reservations if going during Bowers' Down time.”

“Great wedge salad—I advise adding bacon & avocado. Favorite drink is the lemon basil-tini! A few beers & wines but better known for their mixed drinks. They have fondue & some flatbread pizza & sandwiches. I like the calamari appetizer with the dipping sauces! Some other eats on the menu as well. Small but nice venue. ”

“Not a particularly fancy place but the fish is fresh and their clam chowder is one of the best I have ever tasted. This too is run by a local family and the service is always good. ”

“It has a drive through when in a rush, they have some very nice baked goods and light meals. It is comfortable and attracts a younger clientele and is open later at night. They have WIFI so it is a very nice place to work, relax or meet on business. ”
