  • What a fabulous cottage and an amazing weekend away for my wife's 40th birthday. The fireplace and pizza oven were big hits with all the family. Hosts were very helpful and rushed round to help us out when we got stuck making pizza dough 😁 Highly recommended place to stay, would love to go back in the summer

  • Nice old cottage in the middle of the Suffolk countryside

    Howard2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning cottage with amazing period features in a lovely peaceful location. The pizza oven is such a fun touch. Would recommend the King's Arms in the village too - such a friendly pub. And the local town of Lavenham is beautiful. (Both in Sammy's recommendations.) It was a perfect spot for a weekend away. Thanks so much!

    Helen2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A great fun place to stay. From the outside the property belies it’s age, step inside and it’s historic character becomes apparent. Lovely quiet location, easy to find food and drink supplies nearby. Everything you need for cooking provided. Will happily return.

  • A wonderful quirky cottage, in peaceful surroundings. We had a wonderful long weekend. Didn’t want to leave.

    Deborah2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is absolutely amazing. Myself and my family came for a long weekend winter break and had the most perfect time. The cottage is really old and full of charm. Not sure we would get pizza of the year award but we gave it our best shot and Sammy kindly supplies all ingredients needed, just bring toppings of your choice. Sammy was very quick to respond and was keen to help when we needed her. The kids absolutely loved their bedroom and so did we. We had some great days out and ate in the Kings Head. Nigel the landlord was most helpful when we left a scarf behind. I can’t recommend the square house enough. Thanks Sammy for indeed being a “super host”

    Samantha2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying here, its a beautiful cottage, everything you need is there, great location for country walks, and the pizza oven was a great bonus

    Liam2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cosy cottage with some quirky little touches to make the stay a memorable one. Dogs settled well and the garden was very enclosed so prevented our stressy rescue dog from barking at anyone passing. Very good use of space and always at hand to help out if required with advice ans guidance

A period detached country cottage with great character and charm and modern amenities in the heart of Suffolk near Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge. We have successfully hosted family reunions, wedding parties, friend and family get-togethers and hen parties. Set in a rural village, bracing country walks abound, most ending in splendid country pubs -- indeed an award-winning country pub is at hand. Accommodation for 8 - 12 persons (stretching to 14) @ an average cost of £30-45pp.
The Cottage sleeps 9 comfortably and two large sofas with bedding & sleeping bags provided allow 10/12 within the House at a push. An Annex room above the garage sleeps an additional 3 with shower, bathroom and tea/coffee facilities, and is available for a modest additional cleaning charge. This is a charming country cottage in a pristine rural setting. This period detached property offers relaxed, comfortable and modern accommodation with many period features and great character. Perfect for weekend getways as the accommodation is quite flexible and lends itself very well to a reunion of friends and family groups of all ages.
Bury St Edmunds is a charming market town with an impressive ruined Abbey set in a great park. The town itself is bustling with many attractive shops and great restaurants and pubs. Try a pint in The Nutshell, Britain's smallest pub in the town centre. Moyses Hall Museum also in the centre has many local curiosities. A range of excellent shopping is available in Bury. Market days are Wednesdays and Saturdays when trader stalls take over the town centre selling fresh local produce, cheese, meats and assorted other goods. There is also a local farm shop, complete with tea room, in Depden, the next village beyond Rede.
  • We had a fantastic stay with the host very helpful and the house lovely. I actually don't think the pictures do the house justice in terms of size of the rooms and how aesthetically pleasing the house is.

    Sebastian2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • I spent a weekend in this lovely cottage to celebrate my 60th birthday with 5 friends. We had an amazing time relaxing in this well equipped, cosy and spacious accommodation. Everything we needed was here. A nice touch was the welcome package which included snacks and Prosecco. The Plough pub was recommended by Eric and did not disappoint. We had a delicious Sunday lunch and the staff were so friendly. We would love to stay here again.

    Sally2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Eric’s place is charming cosy and in a beautiful location. There was plenty of space for our group and we loved being all together in the large dining room. The local pub (The Plough) is fantastic we had a delicious lunch here. There are scenic walks from the door and pretty Bury St Edmunds is a short drive away. Thanks for a lovely New Years break!

    Emily2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Eric's house was the perfect place for our family Christmas. The photos in the listing don't do it justice. The space is warren-like, with three sitting room spaces (one with a fire place) and a dining room on the ground floor. The master bedroom above the snug sitting room is completely dreamy; high, beamed ceiling and an en-suite shower. Just fab. Above the kitchen are two bedrooms, a guest bathroom and an office with a single bed in it. We didn't use the annex but the garage utility room was great for food prep/storage and laundry etc. The kitchen has everything you need - big double oven with separate grill and tonnes of pots, pans and plates. Sound travels in the house, so don't gossip about your sister or do anything else noisy, to save blushes. If you're tall, practice ducking before staying as it's a historic house with some very low beams and ceilings. There isn't much in the village within walking distance... apart from a pub, which happens to be possibly THE friendliest pub I have EVER been to (I've been to lots) and opposite the house is a red phone box, repurposed as a tiny library - so you really have all you need within a few steps of the house. In short this is a great place for get-togethers, big meals and chats by the fire.

    Alice2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay out in the country, a stone’s throw from a pub with great food.

    Melissa2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic house in a great location. Full of character have to watch the low beams!

    Kate2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a beautiful house and was perfect for our weekend away with friends. The dinner room very much became our hub and it was the perfect size for our group.

    Suzie2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely stay at this gorgeous, historic house. The home was a wonderful base for our weekend and the surrounding area is just beautiful. The hospitality was perfect and I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks for such a superb space to the host.

My beautifully presented apartment is situated in the old market town of Sudbury. Just a three minute walk from the town centre, Sudbury offers great restaurants, bars a theatre and boat trips along the river Stour. The house of Thomas Gainsborough is also within walking distance of which is now a national museum. Our market is every Thursday and Saturday which offers a variety of fresh veg, meat and fish. Bury St Edmunds, Colchester, Long Melford are all within 30 minutes from my apartment.

  • What a find! Peters apartment is 7 minutes walk into town where there was much more to do than I expected. His apartment was very clean and beautifully decorated. His eye for design is obvious and inspired me and my friend! The apartment had everything we needed and was very cosy. Perfect for me and my friend meeting halfway between North Norfolk and West Sussex for chinwags and crochet! Peter also recommended Padro for lunch in town and we loved it so much we went back for breakfast the following day. Really enjoyed our break in Sudbury, and would recommend and return to Peter's apartment without a shadow of a doubt.

Flat is small but fine for one or two people, clean and with everything provided, efficient heating system, a pleasant place to come back to in the evening. On a quiet road so no problems with noise. Peter was there to meet me when I arrived, very helpful and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Private small single room , does contain some personal items. New mattress, comfy bed. Quiet single country road a rural location, no street lighting. We provide an extensive breakfast. Quiant, homely, friendly atmosphere with pets. Country walks and lots of wildlife. This 'one pub' village is located by a golf course. Sudbury is set between ; Ipswich , Bury St Edmunds and Colchester. London is about 1 1/2 hrs away via motorway A12 or 50min by train. Our house is a home from home.
Our space is a home with animals in the countryside. It is quiet, small but has a big welcome. We are unexceptional, but it is a very personal service, intimate but relaxed and laid back. we're open and none judgemental so you can come and go freely.
Mostly quiet, there are some neighbours with families

Quiet, spacious garden-facing double bedroom, with private bath/shower room, offering a warm and comfortable welcome. Just a couple of minutes’ walk from the village centre and an award winning pub which offers excellent meals together with a hearty breakfast. Garage, parking and bicycles are available. Pets welcome – I have a very friendly Dachshund. Additional bedrooms available on request.
A bright and spacious double bedroom is offered in a modern, Edwardian style house with large rooms and high ceilings. The room, which is quiet and overlooking the garden, is adjacent to your private bath/shower room. Included is usage of toiletries, a hairdryer and HD TV with DVD player. You are welcome to make yourself at home. There is a log burning open fire in a large sitting room, a dining room and study. Fibre broadband is available throughout the house. The south-east facing garden runs down to the river Stour with a small bridge over it to trees and wild flowers beyond. There is a lockable garage, with space for bikes, and off-road private parking. Rose House is situated at the edge of CAVENDISH, one of Suffolk’s prettiest villages in an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.’ A warm assembly of pinkly pleased thatched cottages cluster round a sloping, and much photographed, green and elegant 14th century church in a fairy tale setting of countryside. The characters from ‘Lord of the Rings’, like Bilbo and Frodo seem more at place here than 21st century man! That said, there is a shop 3 minutes’ walk away, 2 pubs and a pub restaurant.
Note the 16th century timber framed farmhouse Nether Hall; the 19th century Cavendish Hall; the 15th century flushwork panelling and clerestory in the church. The nearby area offers space and peace, gently rolling countryside and picturesque villages with thatched, colour washed cottages; scenes that have inspired some of England’s greatest painters. Villages such as Lavenham, Long Melford, Flatford and Dedham famed for their churches, timbered buildings and antique shops, Clare, Kersey, Chelsworth and Monks Eleigh all merit exploration on foot, by bicycle or by car. Cambridge and Newmarket are within easy reach.

  • You will enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with a very thoughtful host in his beautiful home. My partner and I felt really at home even though it was over Christmas and we both arrived quite unwell. Colin was very kind and we would love to return in the summer to make the most of the lovely garden too. Our greyhound was so taken with the facilities and Colin's little dog, Ratticus that we actually both got into our car before we realised he wasn't with us, but lying on the rug in the hall!

Mark greeted us and showed us round, our cottage was lovely and cosy with the fireplace and Christmas tree already on. Mark talked us through the local pubs and attractions and was helpful and friendly throughout our stay. I would highly highly recommend!!

  • We arrived mid Friday evening after a long hard week and mark gave us a lovely friendly welcome with a full guide of all that snow cottage had to offer and the additional amenities in the farm yard. A generous welcome pack and a delightfully designed and well equipped cottage made for a wonderful romantic happy weekend. We would definitely recommend any cottages Mark has to offer Thank you.

  • Wow! Snow Cottage is an absolute dream. I wish I could move in and call this my home forever. My partner and I spent a magical weekend here in late October. We were greeted by Mark, who is a welcoming host full of fantastic hospitality and local tips. We felt like we were greeted by a friend, not a stranger. Mark showed us around his little patch of heaven in the Suffolk countryside, imparting his knowledge on places to eat, drink and visit locally. The cottage is beautifully decorated in an eclectic, effortless style. Everywhere you look there is something to catch your eye and spark your interest. The welcome basket of breakfast goodies was divine and something I admit I had been looking forward to after reading other guests comments. It did not disappoint! Soft jazz set a wonderful atmosphere for our arrival and leaving the cottage to trek across the field to the local pub was hard but somehow we managed! The White Horse in Edwardstone has an amazing microbrewery and had a cider festival in when we visited too. The medieval village of Lavenham is well worth a visit too. Snow Cottage is a fantastic place to explore the Suffolk countryside from, if you can bear to leave the cottage itself. Thank you Mark for a wonderful weekend. We most definitely will be back for more.

Grade II listed apartment set in the heart of beautiful historic Sudbury Town Centre. My apartment comes with allocated parking (secured by lockable post) where you are just a stones throw from all amenities. The neighborhood is charming and friendly and has many coffee shops, eateries, pubs and beautiful scenery if you visit the Water Meadows. I have just moved to the other side of town to a house, so will be nearby should you require to meet with me.
My apartment is shabby chic and has a real wood burner which will be stocked up with wood and coal for your use on those cold winter nights. The 2nd bedroom contains a day bed which also has the trundle and mattress below. The trundle can also be raised to the same level as the day bed making it into a double, so suitable for either 2 children or 2 adults. The main bedroom contains a standard double bed and built in wardrobe. I will also allow 1 dog.
Kings Mews, Black Boy Yard is situated in the heart of Sudbury Town centre, behind The Black Boy pub which is named after King Charles II who was famously known as "The Black Boy". Pay a visit to The Black Boy where you will be greeted with friendly staff, a beautiful pub, lovely food and you are also allowed to take your dog. You must take a walk to The Mill where you will see how beautiful the Water Meadows are and then stop for a nice drink in The Mill Hotel. Nearby villages to visit which are a must are Lavenham, approx. 6 miles (visit The Swan), Long Melford, approx. 3 miles for their antiques and beautiful scenery and Clare which is about 6 miles. Bury St. Edmunds is only a 30 minute drive and Newmarket is 45 mins away.

Step back in time and come and stay at St.Catherine`s Cottage, The Old School House , in the beautiful historic village of Long Melford. My cottage lies just off the high street down a quiet country lane, opposite the meadow where you can hear the cows munching grass, hear the cuckoo call and enjoy a quiet country walk down the lane to the River Stour. Enjoy the comforts of a light, airy double room with everything you could need, and enjoy exploring the beautiful countryside around.
St.Catherine`s Cottage has been converted in the past 2 years from an old Victorian school house . The building oozes character with its high ceilings downstairs, imposing staircase, and 2 quaint bedrooms with own bathrooms upstairs. It`s situation is perfect for a quiet, country stay for two people, with a choice of gastro pubs, restaurants, tea shops and unique art and antiques shops on your doorstep. PLEASE NOTE: my 3-legged cat Peggy lives downstairs, and is very friendly and well-behaved.
Long Melford is an historic village/small town, which is very popular with tourists from all over the world. It boasts two stately homes: Kentwell Hall, a stunning Tudor house with a year` programme of spectacular events, Also, Melford Hall, a National Trust property, which provides a perfect venue for festivals, classic car shows, antiques fairs and other events. Due to the village`s many beautiful listed buildings, the River Stour and Deben it remains one of the famous 5 wool towns, right in the heart of Constable country, making it a very popular holiday destination.
  • We only spent one night with Claire (has a local wedding to attend). We were made to feel very welcome from the moment she opened the front door. The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean, well appointed (with a kettle/TV in the bedroom & and premium toiletries in the bathroom). Nothing was to much trouble at breakfast and we enjoyed a hearty selection of English & Continental food. It was a pleasure from start to finish and we'd have no problem recommending her. Paul & Karen

The Coach House is a detached one bedroom flat, tucked away behind our historic home, once part of a pub and brewery! With a ground floor kitchen and upstairs sitting room, bedroom and bathroom, the Coach House is a sunny space with views over our pretty garden and its own outdoor dining area. The decor is shabby chic, and the flat is warm, clean and comfortable! Ideal for two, it can stretch to four thanks to a sofa bed. A choice of shops, pubs and restaurants is only a short walk away.
The Coach House is around 200 years old and dates from a time when the Three Tuns was a public house and brewery. Parts of the original pub are over 500 years old! The complex now forms three houses and the Coach House holds our garage as well as the flat.
Hadleigh is an ancient Suffolk wool town with a historic church and Guildhall, a pleasant river walk and nature reserve. It is a great base to explore Constable Country and a forty minute drive to the coast. We are based right on the High Street so you can easily walk to the shops, or visit one of the town's many pubs or cafes. We are also on a cycle route.

Self contained 1 bedroom annexe in countryside location featuring living room with sofa bed, kitchen, large bedroom with kingsize bed and access to wetroom. Annexe benefits from underfloor heating and fully equipped kitchen including SMEG fridge freezer, hob and combi oven/microwave/grill. Annexe joined on to hosts home which is based in rural location looking out on to open fields just few minutes drive from historic market town of Hadleigh. Ipswich and Colchester both 30 mins drive away.
We recently bought the Pump House and were delighted that the property benefitted from a one bed annexe which is self contained with its own front door which we can use for family and friends as well as paying guests. The annexe was built ten years ago to a high specification and is equipped for guests of all ages. The location is fantastic insofar as it is very quiet down a farmers track on the edge of the market town of Hadleigh with no other houses nearby but still within walking distance. Small pets are welcome for an additional £10 charge per pet per night paid on arrival.
The annexe is a few minutes drive from the historic market town of Hadleigh or a ten minute walk over the field opposite. Sudbury is within 20 minutes as is the famous historic village Lavenham. Ipswich and Colchester are both within a 30 mins drive.
  • Gary and Richard have a great space, very stylish and very comfortable. Really clear instructions too. Highly recommend staying with them.

  • Modern and smart tech annex with all the required equipments. Host is really helpful and friendly. Very quick in response to your all queries. Those who love to enjoy a country side vacation this will be a great choice. We loved it and enjoyed it to max. 5️⃣🌟

  • This accommodation is exactly as described and bigger than the photos suggest, the kitchen is well equipped if you wanted to cook, living room spacious, bedroom is large and the bed very comfortable, the bathroom is a wet room and the shower is amazing....hot and fantastic pressure. Richard and Gary are superb hosts and have excellent communication leading up to staying after booking and during the stay. The Annexe is exceptionally clean and well equipped.....we stayed for 2 nights and will definitely book again in the future......the local town has a nice choice of welcoming pubs and takeaways. The location is isolated and without the communication from the hosts with pin point directions it could be difficult to find.....but well worth the effort....this is without doubt the best Airbnb accommodation I've used so far especially for the cost. You won't be disappointed.

A short walk to Asdas Grocery Store. They close early but there's a corner store close by. The host is great and will help when needed.

  • a beautiful little cabin/pod its quite and peacefully. exactly what was needed to escape the day to day hustle and bustle of life.

    Chef2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Myself and my husband booked to stay 1 night at the anglers pod because we were visiting two sets of friends, my husband is a fisherman and we both love camping, we took our gas camping stove 2x sleeping bags table and chairs and a portaloo. We didn't take any fishing gear because we weren't staying long. We didn't need most of what we took, the pod was equipped with a double bed which can convert to two singles, there was a picnic table outside and a fire pit with ample logs free to use. Steve even offered to take orders for the local co op in the village. The snack wagon run by Carol has a wide variety of the usual breakfast dishes and sandwiches all made fresh to order. There are plenty of spotlessly clean toilets and showers plus a nicely equipped field kitchen. The lakes are beautiful and next time we go my husband will definitely fish.

    Kirsten2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much for an amazing stay - Safe to say this made my boyfriends year catching his PB at 31.2lbs! Couldn’t have done it without Steve either! Getting involved and helping when needed. The hut is lovely and overlooks the lake, there is everything you’d need for a stay, and made even more comfortable with having a proper toilet and shower nearby as well. The shop on site sells all you might need which is incredible handle - And the bacon roll was lovely as well. We’ve already booked our trip back for a few weeks time! A little gem! Thanks so much again!

Semi detached house set in a small lane in the village of Newton Green, surrounded by countryside. We fall in the center of Bury St Edmunds, Colchester, Ipswich and Haverhill. It is quiet, green, great for wildlife and a peaceful nights sleep. We are well situated for access to surrounding towns, and main routes. There is a golf course and pub nearby. Small house, big welcome
Rural. Secluded, quiet, comfortable, homey. Access to room bathroom kitchen outside spaces
We live down a queit lane , we aren't overlooked unless you count the horses in the field. It is excellent for (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)s as there is an abundance of birds to see. We are very close to the golf course, unique to Newton, but there is good walks, in and around it. There is a busy local pub that serves plentiful portions. The A134, runs through the center of the village but means it is easy to commute to the large towns , cities e.g Cambridge,London both (1-15mins away) for the adventurous.
  • A beautiful house in a very quiet lane, 8 mins drive to town. Cathy is very welcoming & a lovely host who is happy to talk or to leave you be, whatever you need she will provide. You also get a wonderful welcome from her two dogs who love to be fussed. The bedroom has everything you need & is very comfortable. The breakfast is a feast, so much so you barely need anything else for the rest of the day. Fantastic place at the most reasonable price you can get.

There was everything we needed at the lodge including blankets to curl up to on the sofa. During the day we travelled to the different local towns which wasn’t too far away including Hadleigh, Lavenham, Dedham, Sudbury and Bury st Edmunds. During the evening we chilled at the lodge and relaxed in the hot tub. Host was lovely let us check in early and any queries we messaged host whom replied promptly. Will definitely be returning.

  • What an amazing stay we had at Bramble Lodge! It had everything we needed & more. From Tiptree Jams to robes and slippers for the hot tub. It was the most relaxing weekend ever. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Richard & his wife to the point where they had put a little decoration up for my partners birthday during our stay. Would 100% recommend this, lodges are beautiful.

Located off a quiet country lane, this barn annexe is a great place to unwind in peaceful surroundings. The spacious enclosed garden has uninterrupted far reaching views of this wonderful constable countryside. There is an abundance of foot paths and wild life all around the property and only a 10 mins walk to the village of Hartest which has a great country pub. Close to market town of Bury St Edmunds and villages of Lavenham and Long Melford this is a perfect place to explore suffolk.
The property is set back from a quiet country lane at the end of sweeping driveway. With separate access from the main house, leading to an entrance hall with plenty of space for shoes, coats, boots and even pets. There is a large main lounge/dining area with 49 inch smart TV, comfy corner sofa and pitched ceiling with beams making the whole area feel very spacious. Leading from the living area there is a bathroom with bath and shower attachment, kitchen and stairs to the twin bedroom which is in the eaves of the barn. This room has far reaching country views and is ideal for children. The large master bedroom has king size bed, open pitched ceiling and countryside views. BBQ and seating area is located in own private garden to the front of the Annexe. The surrounding fields are a real haven for wildlife including resident Barn owls, little owls and at night badgers passing through. There is also lots of wild deer. Care should be taken when driving up the lane especially at night to make sure they are avoided.

My home is a medieval guildhall, recently refurbished, it is comfortable and furnished to a high standard with all modern facilities . The garden is a beautiful space to enjoy. Drive to towns and villages such as the historic Lavenham and the market towns of Sudbury and Hadleigh and Bury St. Edmunds The rate listed of £45 is per person per night.
This is a lovely Suffolk village with many old and interresting houses , and a well attended church stands on the village green. There are lots of beautiful walks and our village shop is successfully run by volunteers. Corncraft is just a short walk down the main road and mustn't be missed, here you'll find a group of artisan businesses, a place that sells plants, Sarah's Attic ( bygones and treasures) a wonderful gift shop selling an enormous range of cards, and there is also an Art and Crafts studio. Also a cafe which serves really good food, from breakfast to afternoon tea. Corncraft has been in business by the same family for many years, well worth a visit.
  • We had a wonderful stay at Vicki’s house, where we were welcomed so warmly into Vicki’s beautiful home. Check in time was at our convenience and we had lovely cake and tea awaiting us on arrival. The space is so homely, Vicki made us feel at home straight away including our unruly two year old son! The bedrooms are lovely, the shower room also spotless and amazing shower. Thank you Vicki for all of your help and kindness to us, we would not hesitate to recommend you for all future guests.

The ensuite double bedroom is annexed to the main house - a stunning 15th century barn conversion, and has its own lockable entrance ensuring privacy. It is decorated in a light contemporary fashion with a further toilet and entrance hallway forming part of the annex. There's parking space in the cart lodge for guests to use. The room has wifi, tv, mini-fridge, microwave, kettle, tea/coffee, 2 seat sofa, toaster, cutlery, iron & ironing board, hair dryer and toileteries.
Our home is located in a conservation area at the heart of rural Suffolk with Lavenham only 3 miles away, and a number of other popular tourist attractions including Bury St Edmunds, Long Melford, Kersey, Bildeston, Hartest, Clare and Cavendish all a short drive away. Newmarket and Cambridge are under an hour away.
Cross Green is the only conservation area in Cockfield which was nominated as Suffolk village of the year in 2012. There are many places to explore in the area and numerous traditional country pubs to visit. Cross Green is a hamlet of around 50 houses with countryside all around, so there are many walks and places to explore in the area.

  • We had a really positive experience of staying at Didier's place. We were met by Didier on arrival, who gave us some great tips on places to visit and eat in the surrounding area, then showed us to the beautiful flat. All in all a great stay - and we especially appreciated the croissants he left out for us! Would highly recommend. Tom and Amy

No.24 is Lavenham's newest boutique holiday home that opened in July 2019. The Grade ll listed terrace is believed to have been built in 1896, and has just been fully renovation. I have carefully selected beautiful homewares to ensure you'll have maximum comfort during your stay with luxurious bedding, toiletries and towels, and a special welcome hamper. No. 24 has a pretty courtyard perfect for four and private parking - both sort after in Lavenham! Suited for a romantic or family get away.
No.24 is located on Lavenham's historic high street which once saw the hustle and bustle of the village's famous wool trade. Now a days on the high street, you'll find quirky shops and delicious foodie treats all set in the wonderful crooked buildings. The house has just been fully renovation from top to bottom and comes with the huge bonus of a garden and parking. My vision has always been to make guests feel like they experience luxury hotel touches, but in the comfort of a home. With this in mind, at No.24 you'll find; Siberian goose down bedding, large Egyptian cotton towels, bathrobes, luxury Cowshed toiletries, crystal glassware, cocktail making equipment and a coffee machine (with pods), but you'll also find home comforts like cosy throws, cooking books and all the kitchen equipment you could need to make delicious dinners. For families, I can provide a stair gate, high chair, travel cot, fluffy baby towel, suitable cups/plates etc for little ones and a selection of toys. Please do let me know in advance so I can get these bits ready for you. To note, the travel cot is suitable from birth up to 36 months, up to 13kgs or a height of 85cm. No.24's ground floor is open plan, with high ceilings, you'll find; a lounge, brand new kitchen with solid oak worktops, and diner that opens onto the sunny courtyard garden that has a table for four, causal seats and a BBQ. The gardenleads on to the private parking space, which is a real bonus for Lavenham as parking can be in demand with the village being so popular for visitors. There is also a small cloakroom downstairs. There is a fabulous new heating system, but if you're like me and love a glass of wine by the fire, you can use the log burner in the lounge. From October - March, kindling, logs and lighting equipment will be left out for you to use. You should be quite toasty! In the lounge there is also comfy seating, a Smart TV, DVD player and free wifi. Upstairs is a bathroom (large shower, toilet and sink unit) with Cowshed toiletries (as seen in top London hotels) for you to use during your stay - will you choose to be relaxed or invigorated? As there is no bath I can provide a baby bath for little ones. Bedroom one has a super king bed and dressing table, and as a treat you can watch TV in bed. Bedroom two can either have two small single beds or one king - as standard it is made into a king so please let me know if you would like a twin set up. The Cowshed pillow mist should help you drift off to a wonderful night's sleep. If you're looking for peace and relaxation, there are some beautiful walks around Lavenham, in particular I would recommend the Lavenham to Long Melford railway walk. If you have a well trained, small dog you're welcome to bring them along to enjoy your break, please do let me know in advance though so I can make sure your pups stay is as comfy as yours. Lavenham is well connected to surrounding towns and villages with a bus service, the bus stop is just a few minutes walk away. Information will be available at the house. To top all this off, I'll leave a welcome hamper for you with some bits to get you started and some treats. If you have any questions, or you would like to book over Christmas or New Year please drop me a line.
There are lots of beautiful sites to see and yummy places to eat and drink in Lavenham, from a glass of wine at The Angel on the square, handmade ice cream at The Parlour, to tapas at the Greyhound, the list goes on! I'm more than happy to help with recommendations.

  • Number 24 is a gem! Perfectly situated and very stylish. The bed is very comfortable and everything sparkling clean. Lots of very thoughtful touches which we much appreciated. We were made to feel very welcome and our dogs were too. As an Airbnb host myself I learnt a lot from Hanna, and you can’t say more than that! Thanks for a lovely stay in beautiful Lavenham.

  • Lovely modern accommodation in central Lavenham. Loved staying in this newly renovated apartment with a gorgeous new bathroom and kitchen. Hanna had gone right out of her way to provide an allergy free convenience pack including gluten free bread and treats as well as beautiful fresh eggs, milk. Such a thoughtful and appreciated gesture. I loved using the toiletries, bath robe. Lots of soap and dishwashing tablets provided to keep it all fresh. We had a bit of a glitch one morning and Hanna was quick to respond and had it sorted straight away. The kitchen is well equipped with Olive oil, butter, salt pepper, foil etc. so that you can cook. This is a great apartment to stay in, there are some steep stairs to the upper floor for those with mobility issues but otherwise just beautiful.

  • We absolutely loved Number 24 in Lavenham. A gorgeous space, perfect for a relaxing break for our small family. Hanna was so helpful, with excellent information and answers to our questions, as well as such thoughtful touches for us and our small baby. We’d love to stay again!

  • We visited the house for a combined 18th birthday for my son, 80th for my mum and Christmas. This house is located ideally in Lavenham, walking distance to all the local amenities and with private parking which is rare in Lavenham and a premium perk of this house. The house is immaculate and well presented. It comes with everything that we needed and fit the three of us comfortably. Hanna was a great host, clear and timely communications and some really nice personal touches were left for us in the house. The birthday cake for my son was very touching. I cannot praise this accommodation and Hanna enough.

  • Absolutely gorgeous stay. Design of house is so well thought out. House was immaculate too! We had our two 18 month old boys with us and it was a thoroughly lovely stay. Hanna put up festive decorations and it just made our stay even more special. Hanna is a wonderful host and super quick to reply. Thank you!

Jasmine Cottage Bed and Breakfast provides luxurious accommodation in a welcoming environment set in the Suffolk countryside. The Bed and Breakfast accommodation is located in our self contained pavilion. The accommodation is made up of a king size bedroom, en-suite bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle and living/dining room.
The cottage dates back to the 17th Century and is a delightful, grade II listed, thatched property with a charming separate thatched croft that historically was used as shelter by shepherds on their way to London. The shepherds have long gone and Emma now uses this as her office. The Bed and Breakfast accommodation is located in our self contained Pavilion so you have your own front door!

  • Sue and Mark are fantastic hosts and went out of their way to make us feel at home. They gave us a warm welcome and showed us around and gave us tips on the local area including a great local pub, the 6 Bells, for dinner. The barn is gorgeous and spacious and the views are incredible. I’d thoroughly recommend Sue & Mark’s place to other guests.

    Sam2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Sue was very responsive and Mark was very welcoming and helped us check-in. The place was really nice and quiet just like what we wanted. Worth recommended and we wouldn't mind coming back.

  • This is a truly stunning little space if you are looking for a countryside retreat away from the city. It has everything you need if you want to stay in, self cater and chill, from a full kitchen to amazon prime and Netflix. However if you love a walk and a country pub with character and a fire then you are spoilt on this front too. Will 100% be back

    Steve2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the barn was the perfect location for a family Christmas getaway. The barn itself was clean and beautifully decorated and we were so touched by the Christmas decorations and a little Christmas tree which made our stay extra special and made us feel at home. Upon arrival we found a jar of honey from their own bees and a postcard which made us feel welcome. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a Christmas dinner and there were even board games in the cupboard for us to play afterwards. We also appreciated the binoculars which we used to have a closer look at all the wildlife just outside our window. We were thrilled to spot pheasants, muntjac deer, hares and even an owl during our stay. The barn is a perfect place to relax and slow down for a few days.

  • A perfect bolthole for a weekend relaxing, just what was needed. Loved seeing all the wildlife from the sofa too. Close to lots of nice cosy pubs. Sue and Mark are absolutely lovely and leave you to it once they have made sure you are comfortable - they even lent us wellies following the onslaught of rain in the previous few days! Thank you :)

    Helen2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • A peaceful and beautiful place to stay if you want to escape the city. Spacious, clean and homely, the barn is really a home away from home. Sue and Mark are excellent hosts who made us feel very welcome.
