Vacation Rentals in London

Just booked in London

If you want to experience London at it's best then come to Camden. This area of London is central, safe, and packed full of cafes, bars, famous nightclubs, music venues and the world famous Camden Market along with beautiful parks and Primrose Hill.
I live in the heart of Camden Town, in a late Georgian terrace of houses within a Conservation area, right in the centre of London. My flat is richly decorated which reflects the work that I do as a Textile Artist. My walls are covered with my choice of vintage finds, antiques and objets d'art. My Flat on 1st and 2nd Floor 16 sq mtrs: SITTING ROOM/BEDROOM: You will be staying (with me) in my sitting room on a comfy sofa bed. You will get complete privacy during your stay in my sitting room. This large sunny room has two big windows with wooden shutters and a big fire place. There will be fresh bedlinen, a choice of pillows, towels, big duvets and hot water bottles. There is a hanger rail for your clothes. **I provide earplugs for you as I am on a main road. **1 extra small child can stay on AIR MATTRESSES or ONE EXTRA adult. This will be like CAMPING but is appreciated by families on a tight budget... or for a family for the weekend. You have free Wi Fi, TV, DVD and information about what is going on in London, with maps and guidebooks. KITCHEN: You can use my kitchen whilst staying with me. There is unlimited tea and coffee, a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, a fridge, iron and ironing board. I do not have an electric dryer - I hang clothes on a dryer in the hallway. **I don't supply breakfast but Arancini's ( 1 minute walk) has great food and Mario's is around the corner (with his own mini Art gallery). ** For 3 people to eat at the kitchen table is slightly tight... see the pictures. BATHROOM: You will be sharing the bathroom with me. I supply big towels, hairdryers and a few shampoos etc. GUEST WELCOME: I always try to welcome guests personally but if I am not around I make other arrangements for you as well as key access. I provide a welcome pack for you and answer all your questions. Then I leave you be. SIGHTS TO SEE: *8 min bus to Kings Place, a fantastic new music and culture venue at the back of Kings Cross. *20 min bus to the British Museum and 9 other Museums all within walking distance, in the heart of Bloomsbury *25 min bus to the Tate Modern and the South Bank area that includes the Royal Festival Hall and the National Theatre. *6 min bus to the British Library *10 min bus to Bloomsbury, for literary fans, see a monument to Gandhi, the University and the Welcome Trust building. *20 mins bus to the heart of Covent Garden for boutique shopping, the Opera House, and street performances. *20mins bus to Soho and China Town and Trafalgar Square. *20 min bus to Oxford and Regents St shopping, including Selfridges and the Apple store. *15min train to Brick Lane Market. * 25 min train to Kew Gardens. * 10min bus ride to Madam Tussaud's and the Planetarium. THINGS TO DO: Cycling: Santander Bikes are great and can be hired for as little as a £1 a day. Swimming: 3 mins walk away is a newly restored Victorian Baths which is a delight. Walks: around London are held on every subject you can think of including street art and early morning photography walks. Picnics: go up to Hampstead Heath 480 acres in the middle of London and listen to concerts or go on walks. Sight Seeing bus rides at night are well worth doing. Dinner: at one of many London underground restaurants. All of London's famous Markets. Football: Emirates Stadium is a 20 mins walk away. or Movie Fans; At the back of St Pancras Station ( Batman Begins 2005) is Somerstown, featured in the film of the same name. Chaplin 1992 and countless films were filmed by the canal there, which has now been opened up for visitors and has a new street food market and a brilliant music venue called Kings Place. The Spice Girls filmed in the now magnificent St Pancras Hotel -- well worth a visit. All 8 Harry Potter films were filmed at Kings Cross Station so fans will want to visit platform 9 and 3/4 - ask anyone where it is. Alfie, Breaking and Entering, Nanny Mcfee 2 were filming in that area as well as Regents Park, Primrose Hill, Regents Canal. Camden has been filmed in numerous times. And Robert Downey Jn had his photo taken right outside my front door for Sherlock Holmes. And I missed it... When you write to me please use the word 'Vintage' so that I know you have read the whole listing.
ROUND THE CORNER: I live on a main road just down from a small high street with basic shops and cafes in it. If you want West End stores then my local bus takes you right to Oxford St in 20 minutes. There are buses near me for all the major sights of London as well as the tube, Camden Town. By my home there are 3 supermarkets, organic butchers, an Earth Store, 2 book shops, one of the first cycle shops in London, a pharmacy, ATM and Post Office, 3 train stations, and a great vegetable stall, ** There are 3 good local restaurants and more. IN WALKING DISTANCE: Camden is a vibrant area with many different cultures and creeds. This is reflected in the street life. We have a farmers market, boutiques, cafes, coffee houses, the Jazz Cafe, a Cinema, the Jewish Museum, welcoming pubs and small restaurants, thriving night clubs and a ground - breaking music scene, as well as charming neighbourhoods and easy access to London's Museums. I have lived in this area for over 27 years and still love it. *7 mins - Welcome to Camden Market packed with 100s of stalls, that receives over a 100 thousand people each weekend. This colourful street market is world famous and provides a glimpse of all of London's many tribes and fashions. *8 mins walk along Regents Canal to London Zoo and Primrose Hill with one of the best views of london. It has also featured in many films. *12 mins walk to Regents Park which has an open air theatre, cafes, walks and events. *23 mins you can walk to the British Library (next door to St Pancras Station) with the exquisite Treasures Room, 14 million books, cafes, exhibitions, and a huge statue of Newton thinking about gravity.
  • My parents stayed at Tessa house and they felt absolutely at home. Tessa is incredibly kind and her house is very nice. I suggest this accommodation.

  • Very nice appartment, very clean. Tessa is a great host and made my stay very enjoyable. Highly recommended!

  • Tessa's home is an absolute gem of a find. It's in a fantastic location, less than ten minute walk from both the Camden Town underground station and the Camden Road overground. The house itself is fantastic- there is so much to see! I wish we'd had time to spend a day just in the house exploring! The room is really comfortable and beautiful and we had everything we needed. Tessa even provided hot water bottles, earplugs and toiletries, along with what you'd expect. Tessa is lovely. Even before we came to stay, she had emailed me information of nearby places to visit and there was ample leaflets etc in the room plus she was on hand to help with anything we needed. So friendly too and such good taste in decor! My husband and I would certainly recommend staying with Tessa and I will definitely be keeping her details to stay there next time we visit London.

  • A lovely stay in a very interesting house. Tessa was a very friendly host who respects your privacy and was always willing to give information about the city. A very nice experience!

  • It was my first time in London and I was a lucky person to stay with Tessa, she was amazing host. I felt like I came back back to home and Tessa was my mum) Her house is amazing, so many interesting things inside! She was helpful and it was a quite cold - she suggested me soup , tea and a sweater) I'd love to come back to her home again! Oh, and the area is amazing as well. Market and everything is great!

  • Tessa was a lovely host. At our arrival she gave us lot of useful information about London and she provided us everything we needed...and even more (she left also some food for my daughter that has allergy!). She was really friendly and it was always pleasant to have a chat with her. Her house is just amazing, so coloured, stylish and warm that make us feel immediately at home...she is a real artist! We would strongly recomand her flat to enjoy London!

  • Tessa is an excellent host who made me feel at home with her welcome. The room cannot be faulted. Her knowledge of London is top class and I was grateful for her suggestions. She is, deservedly so, a popular choice amongst crashpadders and I can see why. Her location is very easy to find. All in all, a very enjoyable stay. Thank you Tessa for making me feel welcome in your nice home and I hope to back sometime in the future. Brian

A mini apartment within the clock tower apartment at St Pancras Station, with its own en suite bathroom and kitchen and sitting area. It sits in Sir George Gilbert Scott's gothic revival railway hotel building from 1868. Ideal for 1 week holidays.
The apartment is in the clock tower above St Pancras International Station. This guest suite with a double bedroom on the 4th floor looks out over Kings Cross Station. The apartment has another double bedroom, also on the 4th floor being used by the owner or by other guests. This guest suite has all its own facilities not shared with others including in addition to the bed, a living area, a small kitchen/dining area and its own bathroom and shower. As the apartment is on the 4th and 5th floors and fully equipped with secondary glazing, the road and railway noise is very low and almost nobody notices it but I would advise delicate sleepers to be aware of it before booking. The suite is available for short or long-term letting and ideally suits couples on holiday in London for a few days or a week. There is additional bedding available by prior arrangement if one or two others want to stay but THIS IS NOT A LISTING FOR 4 ADULTS. IT IS A DOUBLE BEDROOM AND WE CAN PUT ONE OR TWO MATTRESSES DOWN FOR EXAMPLE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN SHARING WITH PARENTS. THIS NEEDS TO BE DISCUSSED WITH THE HOST AT THE TIME OF BOOKING. Clean towels are provided as standard as are soap/shampoo. This listing is very heavily booked but it may be worth looking on my other listing (ST PANCRAS CLOCK TOWER MASTER SUITE) which is for the master bedroom which I let out when I am not using it. The main difference is that you would then use the main kitchen on the 5th floor. Or contact me with an enquiry and I will let you know. Little things are provided in the apartment, such as a hairdryer, international plug adaptors and umbrellas. Let me know if you need London Oyster cards for public transport (electronic cards for you to use and top up). The clock tower was designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott like a medieval bell chamber but never held bells. The clock never has and does not ring. On the 5th floor, the clock tower room's height lends itself to some extraordinary events. Search YouTube for videos of artists on a rope.
Neighbourhood It is within walking distance of many of London's sights, from the British Library next door to the British Museum and the West End 20-25 minutes away. There are lots of shops in St Pancras Station. The best mainstream grocery store nearby is Waitrose to the north of the canal between the two stations. There is more public transport within 100m than almost anywhere else on the planet (buses, metro, rail). What is really exciting about Kings Cross now is its pace of development. The world's leading search engine company has its European HQ offices here (and provides a number of guests!) as do many other businesses. As offices are completed, they are fully let such is the demand for space in this area. The opening of new restaurants and shopping facilities now and over the coming years is transforming a former post-industrial desert to one of the most exciting parts of the metropolis.
  • This apartment is just as amazing as it looks on the site. Peter was very friendly and welcoming, and was flexible regarding our check-in time. We were made to feel very at home, and our self-contained unit had everything we needed. The space was lovely, and the building is beautiful. The view is spectacular and the location great. We have been wanting to stay here for some time, and we were not disappointed! Thank you, Peter!

    Christina2014-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • No complaints here! Enjoyed very much our brief time in this extraordinary apartment! Thanks for making us feel so welcome Peter, wish we could have stayed and chatted longer- plus got stuck into your amazing bookshelf in our room! You even have Bradshaw's! Plus the bath was marvellous- and much needed after our busy day. Thank you and wish you well.

    Cheryl2014-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • peter was in touch just before the stay to check we had all the info we needed. we did and everything was easy to find and well arranged. the location couldn't have been better and the views were amazing. we felt very privileged to be able to stay in peter's lovely home.

    Jacky2016-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for somewhere completely awesome and unique to stay while in London that you can brag to your friends about, you should stay here with Peter. The place is completely amazing, with awesome views, GREAT location right next to King's Cross station that will get you anywhere internationally or locally and Peter is a friendly and great guy! I definitely recommend staying here on your trip to London - you won't regret it. And, I may be wrong, but I am pretty sure you get to stay in the clock tower that Harry Potter flew by in the movie when he's in the flying car...:-)

    Scott2013-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The clock tower was such a beautiful place to stay! My partner and I stayed here before heading off on our tour and we couldn't have asked for a better place. Thanks to Peter for being a fantastic host!

    Ashleigh2013-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Delightful host-always helpful with good communication. And the best airbnb space in London! Xx

    marcia2013-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Friendly host who was very approachable and proactive in his communication with me.

    Phillip2014-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • Peter was excellent company and a very warm, helpful host before and during my stay. The space is very hard to describe (and Peter may well not be surprised that I seldom lost for words) as there is nowhere else like this in the world where I know people can rent and stay. The architecture of the space and the tastefully chosen paintings, furniture and fittings manages to hit the rare combination sum of feeling both very spacious while homely and intimate at the same time. My guests were all in awe Friday afternoon tea in the tower room with my Mum and Peter was a deeply civilised and pleasant experience. Very, very little noise from the rail station below, in fact the train engines coming to life was quite a gentle thing to hear when making my morning coffee. Overall: Exquisite !

  • Very easy to write a review of this place, line up all the boxes and fill in the ticks. Communication, check in/out, info provided, amenities, shared communal areas, comfort, cleanliness, location and value. All ticks. This concept works wonderfully well. The Master Room ( where we stayed ) is spacious, comfortable and clean, if I could take the bath with me I would. Far better value than a hotel, a delightful 'English' part of London and very close to transport why would you stay anywhere else? I'm not sure who said this....'just do it'!!! Or this 'I'll be back'......

    Cliff2015-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Uri was very nice. The room was better than we expected. Chiswick was a beautiful town. The room and house was quiet and clean.

  • Super-comfortable bed in a super-sized room! If you want big bed and bath, this is for you! Flawless Muse Haus service, as always!!!

    Peter2016-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay, a short walk from the tube, just down the road from grassy Turnham Green and the high street with all its restaurants and bookshops, and conveniently located between central London and Heathrow. The bedroom is big with a high ceiling and comfortable beds, one of them a sofabed. Shower and wonderful claw-foot bath in the enormous bathroom. Minimum fuss booking and getting into the house, which has large internal and external communal spaces for relaxing. Breakfast is provided and, if not in the dining room, best enjoyed in the sun on the bench out the back. We left our luggage for a few hours after we'd checked out without any problems. Juri was friendly and efficient over email and a pleasure to deal with.

    Simon2015-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great hosts! Very friendly and helpful. Wish I had stayed there longer. The place was well maintained and very comfortable. Will return there one day for my family vacation and recommend to my friends.

    Ahmad Razani2013-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • Chiswick is a young, trendy area, just outside London. Westfield shopping centre is 10 minutes by car and its by far the biggest and the best shopping experience I have been to! The High street- by car 2 minutes from the house, is full of coffee, organic shops selling food etc, phone and clothing shops- just great! The house- is at first glance- OK- it's easy to enter with the info given, our bedroom is on the 2nd floor, 1 double bed and one bigger single Futon bed. The room has a good bed, 2 simple bedside tables and lamps. The downstairs shared living room, dining room and kitchen have furnitures in a smarter 'student' feel to them. I wouldn't say this is a home as there is no photos of anyone any-where and no extra feel to it. But it does do the job. The bathroom has a great cast iron bath and a good shower. But it's a leek in the ceiling which must have been there for weeks. Its a bucket with towels on the floor under the leek. The curtains next to the main bed- can't close - so the sun comes into my eyes at 5 am in the morning. Now if that had been a hotel I would have asked for a refund if not another room was available. Both a bucket and open curtains isn't that good. The curtains were sorted after 2 days- thank you! New blinds are being ordered. The bucket was obviously still there. The kitchen was good and The coffee was excellent. Its impersonal, 'student feel' basic furnitures, and mostly I think geared towards 20-30 years old something. No one who 'lives' there is ever there. My kids- 11 and 13 preferred the hotel- where we stayed the 4 night outside London- they were doing soccer and lacrosse campus. That room had a great bed, great bathroom, great pool etc but ghastly breakfast. So what do I prefer- hotel or this BB? I don't mind a simple bedroom and I like making my own breakfast, but I do mind not knowing that there is a leek in the bathroom + bucket- and that the TV- hasn't got an info pack how to use it...- and that the sun comes in at 5 am, due to the curtains hanging down. Alison in Slough has perfected the level on her rooms ( a Perfect BB) but there is no access to the kitchen which I liked at this house. So- if it could improve a bit and sort out the miss-hap it would be a winner.

    Beatrice2014-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely big room with a fabulous bathroom .

    Phil2014-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed in the master room, which is huge. It's bathroom is huge too and has a free-standing bath, all of which was just lovely. I was in the area for a wedding at Chiswick Town Hall, which is a very convenient 5-minute walk away. The high road is just as near, so easy access to everything you'd need in this nice part of London. Oh and the arrival instructions were helpful, clear and easy to follow.

  • Everything was great in this place. Location: perfect as exhibitors in Olympia. Just 5 minutes walking. The flat is very clean and well organized. The bed is comfortable, but the futon in the living room was a bit hard for me but it depends on people.

    Louise2017-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Our family of four enjoyed staying in William and Emma's West Kensington flat in London. The flat was impeccably clean and well equipped. Not that it's the fault of William, but the flat was a little tight for a family of four. It was absolutely as advertised, just a little small. Our boys slept great on the convertible couches, but once they were in bed, we pretty much needed to vacate all of the main living areas other than the bedroom. The flat is compact and efficient. It has a great coffee maker, excellent bedding, quality furniture, great shower, nice towels and the like. It's a very tastefully decorated flat. The flat is in a nice neighborhood with a few fun pubs and good restaurants within walking distance. It's about a 12-minute walk to the Shepherd's Bush tube stop. The Olympia station is only a 5-minute walk, but it's only open at rush hour and on weekends.

Easy access to central London on buses and trains and perfect for getting to the Museums on Exhibition Road. Emilia met us at the flat and showed us the ropes and they were flexible with us leaving the bags which was great as our flight was not until late afternoon. Would recommend it for couples or a small family looking to explore London and the West End. Also the two local pubs (The Havelock and The Bird in the Hand) both served great food and were friendly.

    Joanne2015-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a lovely weekend at William & Emilia's flat. It was clean, comfortable and convenient to both Hammersmith (15 min walk) and Shepherds Bush (12min walk). It is in a nice residential area and decent pubs nearby for food. Will definitely consider staying here again next time we are in London.

    Sian2013-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Will met us at the flat door and spent 30 minutes showing us around and talking about the neighborhood. We had a very clean, quiet stay, and he responded quickly to the few questions that came up. Several food and market options are within a 5 minute stroll and I wish we'd had time to try more of them. One pleasant surprise during evening walks was spotting a family of foxes who live in the neighborhood!

  • Will and Emila went out of their way. First, there was their welcome pack and then some more local knowledge on arrival. My flight was delayed so Will moved the schedule around to meet my travelling mate and gave precise directions based on the airport. While there is a laundry on-site there is a laundromat at the bottom of street and a great pub (the Bird in the Hand) a minute's walk away, so you can enjoy great food and drink while your clothes are getting washed.

    Miles2016-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent host! Will was prompt in all communication, and went out of his way to accommodate an early check-in time for me. The flat is excellent, and is well-presented in the online photos.

  • Agri family is a most lovely family that I have ever been with. Thanks for the very nice and warm hospitality for 3 days in London. I would like to visit again.

  • Agri & Roger are perfect. Great house, great place. Very bealtiful, lovelly. I ll back, sure.

    Enoque 2014-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Agri & Roger were so welcoming when we first arrived. The room/flat are very quiet and peaceful and the room doors open to the garden which makes for a nice view and resting place. The location is only a short walk to the underground station. From the underground station, it's about a 25ish minute tube ride to central London. The breakfast was nice and Agri & Roger are helpful with anything you may need!

    Dominique2015-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Agri and Roger live in the british house like you imagine it in your dreams. The garden room where we had the chance to sleep was big, very comfy, clean and so pretty ! It's like a dream to wake up there, have a cup of warm coffee served by Agri, say hello to Roger and go drink it in "your" own part of the garden. Very very lovely way to start your day, even more when there's sunshine. We also took our breakfast in the common veranda and it was very pleasant, there's a lot of choice (and a lot of people, not very surprising for this marvelous place). The place is filled with flowers which is lovely. Everything is clean.I'd just warn people who have light sleep that the garden room is next to the bathroom so you'll hear people using it at all times, but it's not awful, I found sleep quite well anyway. At last I'd like to say that the hosts are very warm and always there if you need something, they'll help you with pleasure and give you tips for your trip.

    Romy2013-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • It was a fantastic stay. The room was as discribed very beautiful and the breakfast was more than I expected and therefore great too. I would recommend staying there. There's no problem with zone 3, it took us 22min. to get to the city.

    Florian2010-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Agri and her husband are lovely hosts who not only let us use their home but really welcomed us and made our time in London so enjoyable. Their house is really cozy and warm, they provided us with internet access and gave us really detailed instructions on how to get to their home and even picked us up. Breakfast was delicious, but it is their warm and welcoming personalities that makes staying with them so worthwhile!

    Linh2010-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • It was a nice stay. Agri and Roger were very helpfull and the big glass with icecool water was very welcome after a hot and tropical day in London. We liked the conversation with the other residents each morning at the breakfasttable. A place to come back.

    Adriaan2013-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time at Roger and Argris home. We enjoyed the proximity to public transport, the high road shops and the number of tourist destinations we could visit just 30 minutes away from their home. Breakfast is incredible, comfortable beds, lovely garden! A definite place to stay when in London.

From restful beds to sumptuous fur bean bags, underfloor heating, a Smart TV & WIFI, it's a great place to spend time or use as a base to explore London. • We were really delighted by this very cosy « home ».the location on the Victoria line, a little bit away from the crowdy city center was perfect to have quiet rest. The design of the house is astonishing !!! We enjoyed the attention of Laura who prepared in the fridge a kit for our breakfast with fresh bread, milk, marmelade, coffee and tea. The garden in front of the home is very pleasant ! And Laura gave us also good indication for our first dinner at our arrival late on friday evening. We highly recommand Laura’s wooden cosy home !! The apartment is well located and supermarkets, as well as public transport are within walking distance. The apartment was very clean and stylish. We enjoyed our stay very much and certainly were not there for the last time.

  • Vivi's place is lovely, perfect either for a solo traveller or for a family of 2/3 people. Everyhting was as promised, the apartment was clean and fully equipped. Vivi and Paul are lovely and helpful hosts, they were so nice as to leave some food for us, to set the table and to make our beds. Communication with them was absolutely smooth and timely. The location is excellent - public transport is within a stone's throw, with buses taking you in 10' to Victoria or Sloane Square tube stations. A really convenient supermarket is within walking distance, as well as all the shops and restaurants of King's Rd. All in all, a super-pleasant stay at an amazing place, thanks to its lovely guests - highly recommended!

  • Lovely apartment not so far from central London. It is definitely better than pictures. Separate entrance, ground floor. Host is very prompt and helpful.

    Andrii2018-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second time staying at Vivi's place and it was awesome - just as expected. Everything was clean, the apartment was fully stocked with everything you could ask for from the kitchen to the bathroom. The bed is comfortable, the wifi is good and the Chelsea location is great. The only thing to be aware of is that the place isn't super close to a subway station so you will most likely need to either walk or take a bus on your travels - but totally doable.

  • This is a very nice and spacious flat. Everything was perfect from my check in to check out. The flat has everything one would need to feel at home. I would definitely stay again. Thank you Vivi !

  • Vivi's place is nice and cosy and very conveniently located and in a very safe neighborhood. Paul helped us settle is in and is a lovely gentleman. The kitchen was st up with tea, milk, bread, eggs, fruit, wine and olive oil. That's such a kind gesture especially when we have arrived from a 18 hour journey. There is a supermarket a stones throw away which is convenient. Overall it was a very pleasant day experience. Thank you Vivi & Paul!

  • Our family had a wonderful stay at Mert’s apartment. The apartment was everything we hoped for: very comfortable, clean and a super central location. Mert was a perfect host and made our stay very straightforward.

    Evelyn2017-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location! Mert was very organised and ensured everything was satisfactory throughout the duration of our stay. We were a group of 5 staying and had no problems, would definitely recommend!

    Ciana2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Overall the apartment was good. Thank you Mert for your quick answers and for allowing us to store our suitcases in the apt after check out time. I really appreciated it. The location of the apt is conveniently central and walking distance from shops, restaurants. However, the street where the apt is situated get very noisy at night. There are bars and clubs close by. I am usually not easily disturbed by the noise outside but this was intense, I can guarantee. I do bear in mind that we stayed there on a weekend but the noise kept going until early morning. I know there is nothing Mert can do about that, it's just part of being in a central area but I do want to mention it for other users of Airbnb. Lastly, the towels in the dryer still had stains. They were obviously washed and still in the washing machine when we arrived but still looked stained..

    Nelly2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very nice stay at Mert’s place. The flat was exactly the same as pictured. The location of the flat is superb, central London with a 2min walk from Piccadiliy circus. I would definitely return to Mert flat if I come back to London.

    Arnaud2017-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • I spent a 7 days holiday with my family (2 children and couple) at Mert´s flat. Mert is a great host, always ready to respond when you need to contact him. The place is very well located, sorrounded by pubs and restaurants -some of them closing late at night-, but overall I would recommend it. Thanks Mert!

    Maira2017-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location!! Right in the heart of everything. Apartment was very clean and as pictured. Mert was always quick to respond. It was a great first trip to London for my family. Hope to be back soon!

    Peter2017-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Mert's apartment was in an awesome location. We had a great time going to theaters, chinatown and all the restaurants nearby. How can you argue when you're in the middle of soho and a stone's throw away from piccadilly circus, leicester square and fitzrovia? Just be aware though that you are smack in the middle of nightlife central in one of the world's global cities. Parties until the early morning are the norm. My family loved it. If you want peace and quiet check out the lake district. And thanks Mert for pre-empting and taking care of all our needs as and before(!) they arose.

  • The location was not only perfect for my business travels but extremely comfortable and luxurious. Additionally, Mark's prompt responsiveness and availability for any questions was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend this place and will definitely try to stay here when I visit London again. Thanks so much for everything Mark!

  • I absolutely loved this place. We arrived an hour early and the front doorman watched our luggage while we walked around and grabbed lunch. The doorman also has the keys which makes picking up and dropping off the keys easy as it can get. Upon entering the flat it smelled delightful and felt like home. The views are as wonderful as described and I loved having coffee in the morning, reading a book and watching the city come to life. The tube is right around the corner and made it easy to get anywhere. The bedroom is ultra comfortable causing some late morning wake ups. :) Another great part was Marcus himself. He was very responsive to all my messages and seemed liked a great guy. I will definitely stay here again.

  • It was my first time using airbnb and I got extremely lucky, in the fact I got such an amazing host and fantastic apartment. I travelled upto London to celebrate my girlfriends 30th birthday. I wanted to stay somewhere with that wow view and, the apartment certainly offers that. Mark as a host was just fantastic, he left surprises and a gift and checked in to make sure we were both ok. So thank you, you have set the standard going forward for my other ventures.

    Daryl2017-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time in London. Marcus' place is spectacular. Nice view, beautifully furnished, well equipped and comfortably located to near by transport. Welcome present like chocolate and champagne made him the best host I ever had at AirB&B. We'll be coming again - hopefully soon. Thank you Claudia

    Claudia2015-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Marcus was a great host and had a great communication, starting with a wheather forecast before I left home. He always gave me the feeling that he wants to ensure that everything is alright so that I can enjoy my stay. I was welcomed with some sweet on the bed and other extras on the kitchen. The flat was exactly what the pictures showed. The views towards the City and the Tower of London were stunning, as described in the headline to his offer. It is perfectly located, with important landmarks in walking distance, and if you want to see a bit of the city, even Westminster is on foot be reached. Shops, Bars and Café's are all (Website hidden by Airbnb) there is nothing left to be desired...except more time to enjoy London and the flat. It was absolutely worth every Pound and each of the five stars I give. I hope the flat is available again the next time I visit London. Thanks, Marcus, for a great time!

We offer a single room for one person in our East London terraced house. The house is close to two tube stations that take you into Central London in less than 30 minutes. There are numerous shops, cafes, and takeaways in walking distance. Our house is safe and clean. This space is ideal for anyone visiting London on a budget.
My house is located on a quiet street in East London not far from the 2012 Olympic park in Stratford. I offer a modern and clean single room for one person with a loft view of the neighbourhood. This room shares a bathroom with one other room on the same floor. *Be aware there is no use of the kitchen with this booking and breakfast is not included* There are many places nearby for food at all budget levels. My house is located in the residential area of Forest Gate; an ethnically diverse and now rapidly changing area of London. It is walking distance to Upton park tube station, Forest Gate train station, and many bus stops to the city centre. Supermarkets and places to eat are also a short walk. The bedroom has a lockable door and you get your own set of keys. The bathroom is adjacent to your bedroom shared with one other room. This is a shared house and I live here with my wife. Your room is on the second floor in the loft space. Your bathroom is directly across the hall from you. We treat the house like a little hotel and everything is kept neat and tidy for you. You can come and go as you please. It’s easy to get to my house from the airports. If you're arriving from Stanstead Airport you may want to use the National Express bus service to London Stratford (I recommend you book online prior to arrival in London as often there is a long queue for tickets). If coming from Luton the National Express bus (book online prior to arriving is best) departs from right outside the airport exit and will take you to Baker Street in the city where you can connect to the tube network. Gatwick Airport has a train station in the airport which connects you direct to the city. I recommend getting the train to London Bridge or Blackfriars (not Victoria if possible). If coming from Heathrow you are best to use the tube. The Piccadilly line will take you into the city. I recommend changing to the District line at Earls court to get to Upton Park (going east). You will need to allow for about two hours travel time to my house as London is a bigger city than it looks.
FOREST GATE is a multicultural and now rapidly changing part of London. Ideal for someone on a budget there are easy transport links into central London and many fast food takeaways. Also the large Westfield shopping center and 2012 Olympic park at Stratford are within walking distance. FOREST GATE is has excellent transportation links with access to come of the most vibrant parts of East and North London including: CAMDEN TOWN STRATFORD HACKNEY SHOREDITCH
  • Richard, thank you! It's been a wonderful experience, you're a great host. I highly recommend it.

  • I didn’t meet Richard personally, I did his wife and she was very nice and helpful.....

    saman 2017-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • A comfortable room and clean bathroom up two flights of stairs. Richard was also very helpful in his communication. It was just an overnight stay but I had everything I need to make it comfortable.

    Henry2017-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great! It was nice to have a quiet room to retire to at the end of the evening after a long day of exploring London. I picked up some food on the way home, of which there were ample ethnic choices to pick from, all of which ended up being deliciouis. The tube was super easy to figure out -- if you are like me and without phone service, download the following: CityMaps2Go (download London) and London Tube. These are both offline and will help with navigation! If you have City Planner, be sure that you download the route you want to take before you are without service! But overall, the place was exactly what I needed. They even had a bottle of water and chocolates for me - also what I wanted after my travels! Thanks for a great stay!

    Leah2015-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the room! It was very clean with a super comfy bed and an awesome bathroom. Location is a bit far from the centre of London but the underground station is only about a 10 minute walk.

  • PROS - Location is good (although London addresses are very weird - they presume you have knowledge of where "X" house is on "Y" street - keep (Hidden by Airbnb) Maps handy) and near transit. - Convenience store nearby to grab snacks, foods, drinks, etc. - Sufficient amount of linens for a 3 night stay INDIFFERENT - 3 rooms total in the house. Some may be concerned about the traffic, some may not care. I fall in the latter. - Kitchen is kind of plain. Has a microwave, pans, pots, fridge (and laundry washer?) for those who want to eat in instead of out (or do laundry). - Toilet and tub are in separate rooms (maybe this is a good thing) CONS - Terrible communication with host, although I will just chalk it up as a learning curve at this point. For those reading this, do keep an eye out to see if communication with the Host has met your satisfaction. - Room can still get cold at night when the thermostat is maxed - The room was next to the street and so you could hear cars, motorbikes, and pedestrians pass by; there is a pub right in front of the house.

Anna was very accommodating with our requests and allowed to check in late. We were given privacy which was good and the place was quite; another bonus. Overall great value for money.

  • Biba was immediately responsive. Door staff of the building were extremely helpful and friendly. Waitrose & Tesco are only a minute away. Easy distance to walk to Paddington Station. Bed very uncomfortable. Kitchen extremely cold/drafty. Edgeware Road is a safe, but very busy late night primarily Arabic & Lebanese area of London. The street noise is noticeable from within the flat. The flat was very well equipped and clean though the washing machine was water filled/out of order when I arrived. The shower leaks down the side so it's necessary to use a stack of towels to prevent flooding of the bathroom floor. Wifi via TalkTalk kept going down, it was good when it worked however that was not reliably all of the time. There is an extra space heater to keep the flat sufficiently warm, that was necessary for me even though the one radiator was on full blast. The TV had a wide range of channels. The neighbours were quiet.

  • Biba is a very kind host, really gave us a nice place and warm welcome, helped us a lot. If I have a chance to visit London again. Biba is my best choice.^^

  • Love the location! Very central. Didn't get to meet Biba but she keeps checking on us and responds quickly to all my queries. The place is very clean and complete. It was just unfortunate for us on the timing of our visit.... Ramadan week celebration! Wasn't aware that Edgware street is full of Muslims/Middle Eastern people (by the way, I really enjoyed the authentic mid eastern food) so the street is pretty busy and noisy at night due to celebration. Other than that, it was perfect!

  • Biba, was very easy to communicate with. Since the time we arrived at her London studio. At first I was expecting a bigger place, but everything worked out at the end. I was happy to find restaurants, shops and supermarkets very close by. I also liked like how the building was secured by a doorman.

  • Great communication from Biba. Apartment was in a perfect location and had everything we needed. Will be back next time in London!

  • Lovely clean modern central apartment with added advantage of 24 hour concierge service. Great location for exploring all the sites of london. Biba was a great host too.

  • We have a amazing stay at this apartment. Biba is a wonderfull host , she allowed us early checking and late checkout as well which is very nice. she was very quick to respond on any query before and during the stay. Flat is same as mentioned and no hidden surprises. Also the gentleman at the concierge was very good and helpful. We are 3 adults and 1 kid so bit small for 4 people to move around but still the beds and sleep area is enough to accommodate all of us and we are only using to sleep in night as out in the day for sight seeing so its fine.. Apartment is on a lively street with lot of travel and eating options so its good in that sense but as drawback on being in the main street is that there is noise from traffic even late in night. So you get some and loose some. Overall its a satisfying experience.

Cozy double bedroom in an historic building. The flat, located in West London zone 2, is perfectly located to explore London. Walking distance to West Kensington tube Station or Barons Court tube Station. Oxford Street is only 30 minutes away. The property is also close to local amenities, pubs and restaurants. There are also 24h buses services running nearby.
  • This is a small, cosy apartment in close walking distance (about five to ten minutes) to the Baron's Court station and many different amenities, such as a wonderful French cafe where I had breakfast the next morning. It is a beautiful neighbourhood with many historical buildings, and the apartment itself is in a gorgeous Victorian building. The women who live in the apartment are very kind and gracious, and they have a really adorable baby! The room is simple and clean with all the basics, right next to a lovely, spacious bathroom. Sylvain himself does not appear to live at the apartment and I never actually met him, but he immediately got me in contact with his co-hostess, who lives there. Her name is Jiajia, and she is extremely kind and flexible. I was in town to go to a good friend's birthday party, and I knew I would not return to the airbnb until very late, but she very kindly said it was no problem. Also, the baby was very well behaved and did not wake me up by crying or anything. Because it is an older building, there's no elevator, and the hallway in the apartment is very narrow, so I would not recommend this airbnb for people who have any large luggage, as it would be very difficult to get it upstairs and into the bedroom. However, if you are travelling light like me, with only a backpack, it is just right!

This delightful self contained space is close to Battersea Park and Queenstown Rd Railway Stations, and many central bus routes. There is a variety of lively bars, pubs, and restaurants near by. You’ll love my place because of the location, it's close to the Kings Rd, Sloane Sq, easy access to Victoria,Chelsea Bridge, all Museums, London eye, Southbank, Waterloo, all parks, etc , beautiful Battersea Park is moments away. A great place for couples, solo adventurers, tourist and business travellers.
The space is a double bedroom/studio with private shower room and loo which is next to my house. The room is modern with under floor heating, there is a wardrobe, smart HD TV, a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. I provide fresh juices, fresh pastries and yogurt every day. There is also Red wine, Rose wine White wine and Beers that you can help yourself to and donate to the honesty box if you so wish. There is an outside area that can be used, and you can smoke in, and a place to put bicycles if you use them. As someone who travels frequently I know the bed is very important, the mattress is so comfortable it has to be slept on to be believed and all the sheets and towels are freshly laundered.
The studio is 2 minutes away from Battersea Park, within minutes you can be in central London. there are many bars, pubs and countless lovely restaurants near by. The river Thames is beautiful and a 4 minute walk from the Studio. We are a short bus ride to Harrods,Harvey Nichols, Oxford Circus,Hyde Park, all the museums, Portobello and Camden Market and all the London tourist attractions.
  • Gilly is really nice host! My first trip with air bnb was succeeded because of her!

    Tappei2017-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Gilly is a very good host, attentive to her customers needs. Always available to answer our questions and easy to communicate. Breakfast being included, she always brings fresh pastries and fruits to help you start your morning! There is even a mini fridge with yogurt and other stuff if you like. The room is as described in the pictures. It is very clean. Private entrance so feel free to go in and out at your desire, you won't disturb anybody. Location is right at the corner of the street, so public transportation is at a few steps. Very easy to go around the city. This place is perfect to find some peace out of London's main attraction center, but still very quick to get there; the best of the two worlds. We strongly suggest you go to Gilly's place for your trip.

    Erika2017-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Gilly's place is absolutely phenomenal. Right across from public transit, clean, cozy, extremely accommodating, fantastic at communication and always seemed to go above and beyond to help us in any way possible. You really won't find a better place in London, I can nearly guarantee it.

    Hannah2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • This little cabin is very nice. Literally less than a minute from Battersea Park and about 1.5 minutes from the subway. Everything was clean. Private bathroom. TV, snacks, and even some alcoholic beverages in the fridge in the room. Decent price. Gilly was very responsive and super sweet.

    Michael2018-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • This B&B is in a fantastic location, very handy for buses which gave us access to all areas of London. Gilly was very helpful with local advice and let us leave our luggage for a few hours on our last day. The breakfasts were good and the fridge was most useful. If you went in the summer it would be lovely to sit in the little courtyard area.

    Val2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place in Battersea. Convenient, clean and comfortable.

    Kelsey2018-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great Hostess, Great room, private, comfortable and with all amenities at your fingertips. One of the better Air BNB's I've visited and recommend highly.

    Courtney 2017-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • It was unfortunate that the shower was broken and could not be fixed before our stay. Gilly was helpful but it still detracted from our enjoyment. The location was disappointing as it is very near a busy main road and the size of the bathroom was very cramped. However, the property was clean and the bed was quite comfortable.
