  • It was a close walk to Queens Park station. The pictures on website make it look a lot nicer than what it really is. Overall, it's a good place to stay.

If you want to experience London at it's best then come to Camden. This area of London is central, safe, and packed full of cafes, bars, famous nightclubs, music venues and the world famous Camden Market along with beautiful parks and Primrose Hill.
I live in the heart of Camden Town, in a late Georgian terrace of houses within a Conservation area, right in the centre of London. My flat is richly decorated which reflects the work that I do as a Textile Artist. My walls are covered with my choice of vintage finds, antiques and objets d'art. My Flat on 1st and 2nd Floor 16 sq mtrs: SITTING ROOM/BEDROOM: You will be staying (with me) in my sitting room on a comfy sofa bed. You will get complete privacy during your stay in my sitting room. This large sunny room has two big windows with wooden shutters and a big fire place. There will be fresh bedlinen, a choice of pillows, towels, big duvets and hot water bottles. There is a hanger rail for your clothes. **I provide earplugs for you as I am on a main road. **1 extra small child can stay on AIR MATTRESSES or ONE EXTRA adult. This will be like CAMPING but is appreciated by families on a tight budget... or for a family for the weekend. You have free Wi Fi, TV, DVD and information about what is going on in London, with maps and guidebooks. KITCHEN: You can use my kitchen whilst staying with me. There is unlimited tea and coffee, a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, a fridge, iron and ironing board. I do not have an electric dryer - I hang clothes on a dryer in the hallway. **I don't supply breakfast but Arancini's ( 1 minute walk) has great food and Mario's is around the corner (with his own mini Art gallery). ** For 3 people to eat at the kitchen table is slightly tight... see the pictures. BATHROOM: You will be sharing the bathroom with me. I supply big towels, hairdryers and a few shampoos etc. GUEST WELCOME: I always try to welcome guests personally but if I am not around I make other arrangements for you as well as key access. I provide a welcome pack for you and answer all your questions. Then I leave you be. SIGHTS TO SEE: *8 min bus to Kings Place, a fantastic new music and culture venue at the back of Kings Cross. *20 min bus to the British Museum and 9 other Museums all within walking distance, in the heart of Bloomsbury *25 min bus to the Tate Modern and the South Bank area that includes the Royal Festival Hall and the National Theatre. *6 min bus to the British Library *10 min bus to Bloomsbury, for literary fans, see a monument to Gandhi, the University and the Welcome Trust building. *20 mins bus to the heart of Covent Garden for boutique shopping, the Opera House, and street performances. *20mins bus to Soho and China Town and Trafalgar Square. *20 min bus to Oxford and Regents St shopping, including Selfridges and the Apple store. *15min train to Brick Lane Market. * 25 min train to Kew Gardens. * 10min bus ride to Madam Tussaud's and the Planetarium. THINGS TO DO: Cycling: Santander Bikes are great and can be hired for as little as a £1 a day. Swimming: 3 mins walk away is a newly restored Victorian Baths which is a delight. Football: Emirates Stadium is a 20 mins walk away. or Movie Fans; At the back of St Pancras Station ( Batman Begins 2005) is Somerstown, featured in the film of the same name. Chaplin 1992 and countless films were filmed by the canal there, which has now been opened up for visitors and has a new street food market and a brilliant music venue called Kings Place. The Spice Girls filmed in the now magnificent St Pancras Hotel -- well worth a visit. All 8 Harry Potter films were filmed at Kings Cross Station so fans will want to visit platform 9 and 3/4 - ask anyone where it is. Alfie, Breaking and Entering, Nanny Mcfee 2 were filming in that area as well as Regents Park, Primrose Hill, Regents Canal. Camden has been filmed in numerous times. And Robert Downey Jn had his photo taken right outside my front door for Sherlock Holmes. And I missed it... When you write to me please use the word 'Vintage' so that I know you have read the whole listing.
ROUND THE CORNER: I live on a main road just down from a small high street with basic shops and cafes in it. If you want West End stores then my local bus takes you right to Oxford St in 20 minutes. There are buses near me for all the major sights of London as well as the tube, Camden Town. By my home there are 3 supermarkets, organic butchers, an Earth Store, 2 book shops, one of the first cycle shops in London, a pharmacy, ATM and Post Office, 3 train stations, and a great vegetable stall, ** There are 3 good local restaurants and more. IN WALKING DISTANCE: Camden is a vibrant area with many different cultures and creeds. This is reflected in the street life. We have a farmers market, boutiques, cafes, coffee houses, the Jazz Cafe, a Cinema, the Jewish Museum, welcoming pubs and small restaurants, thriving night clubs and a ground - breaking music scene, as well as charming neighbourhoods and easy access to London's Museums. I have lived in this area for over 27 years and still love it. *7 mins - Welcome to Camden Market packed with 100s of stalls, that receives over a 100 thousand people each weekend. This colourful street market is world famous and provides a glimpse of all of London's many tribes and fashions. *8 mins walk along Regents Canal to London Zoo and Primrose Hill with one of the best views of london. It has also featured in many films. *12 mins walk to Regents Park which has an open air theatre, cafes, walks and events. *23 mins you can walk to the British Library (next door to St Pancras Station) with the exquisite Treasures Room, 14 million books, cafes, exhibitions, and a huge statue of Newton thinking about gravity.
  • Tessa is a wonderful host and her flat is unique and charming. She provides linens and towels as well as two well-stocked binders full of information about London and the local neighborhood. The water pressure is low and there is some traffic noise, but everything else is excellent!

    Ryan2012-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • The room was superb with her long time collections of beautiful and interesting objects from around the world. Not only the room, the stairs, the kitchen, wherever you may go, you'll be fascinated by interesting pieces and never get bored. Tessa is a thoughtful and easygoing lady. My stay this time was only one night but I recommend this lovely place for your stay in London.

    Hiroko2012-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • I booked this for my parents as it was their wedding anniversary and my Dad's 70th....this is their review: A hidden treasure in the heart of Camden....... A glorious room full of antiques, art, sumptuous fabrics and a heavenly comfortable bed..... What a find? And then there was our hostess Tessa..... Waiting to greet us with cards and a delicious box of biscuits as we celebrated Simon's 70th and our 46th wedding anniversary! A fascinating lady who was warm, friendly and knowledgeable about the area but not intrusive in any way...... We loved staying at the Camden Art House and certainly will return! Simon and Maire Ps as a bonus there was also a hotwater bottle if (URL HIDDEN) oldies always like a hottie in the winter!?!?!?

  • Nice home with vintage decoration. Warm and friendly hospitality. Tessa does all in her power to make you feel at home and suggests things to do and/or entertainment. She took me to Guy Folks night in her neighbourhood. Nice bonfire and incredible fireworks. Lots of information about London, places to go, eat and drink. Comportable bed, clean, nice bathroom. Nothing to wish for but a larger bathroom mirror :-)

    Robert2013-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • I think a lot of positive reviews on this site may be out of a sense of 'good Karma', or at the least, just wanting to say nice things for the sake of it, but in the case of our stay at Tessa's place, I can not write enough praising, complimentary things in this space. Staying here will make your time in a special city, even more special. Perfect host, perfect location, good price, beautiful and clean house, you will stay anywhere better through this site. Tessa and her house are why AirBnB is a great idea!! :)

    Barry 2014-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • The place was just like what I saw on the pictures when I was looking for a place to stay just as you are now. I was travelling with my parents from China, and we would have been around the UK for two weeks when we arrive in Tessa's place, it was a wonderful change and surprise not only from hotels but most holiday rentals. Well the pictures tell you more than I could about the place itself. And I could only confirm that Tessa is very helpful and nice. The location is fantastic, the cab journey from kings cross was seven pounds, including 60p tip. Although it was on a main road, but without earplugs which Tessa provided, we had no problem with noises at all. If there anything worth mentioning as shortcomings would be that you do share the place with Tessa and all the artefacts, so I for one was keeping in mind not to make too much noise, do not go out too early or come back too late, and especially be very careful not to trip over when I go up and down stairs which you could see in the pictures. But in the end I chose Tessa's place among other twenty places or so for a short stay and I recommend any one to give it a try. Everything in the description and in the pictures are true.

    Alex2014-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Tessa's place is lovely. The room is charming and full of character with a lot of interesting artworks. Tessa is also very considerate and a helpful host, she recommended several good places around the neighborhood. Overall a wonderful experience and highly recommended :) Location wise Camden Town is quiet, the bus system to central London is convenient, there are two tube stations close by but both a bit of a walk.

    Sarah2015-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • It was a pleasure as always staying with Tessa. Such a lovely lady and such a great flat - a real home from home! Shall be back again soon. Thanks Tessa :)

  • The house is quite large with a pleasant ambience and atmosphere. Susan is a great host; good to talk to and even provided dinner for all the guests one night!

    Gurbinder2016-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Susan is the best host ever, super nice and helpful!! She deserves a trophy for that! Her house is super cosy and homey. The pics don't do justice cuz everything looks so much nicer in real life! It was totally a pleasant stay, I even thought about her and my short stay when I was leaving London. Kind of miss her and her hospitality, very impressive! Haha. Thank you so much Susan.

  • These two days were wonderfull. Accommodation was very nice in old fashion Victorian house in London suburb with easy access to Underground - only 18 minutes from the London Center. House was very very clean and Susan was an amazing host.

    Ondrej2015-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Susan's from the end of September until the beginning of December and it felt like a home away from home. The house is always immaculate but still has a very warm and homely feel. My room was big and bright, plenty of storage, lovely double bed and a tv with all the channels you could possibly want. The bathroom is lovely always so clean with a really nice shower. I didn't do a lot of cooking in the house but the kitchen is so well equipped and again always tidy. As a host Susan is amazing, it seems that nothing is too much trouble. She is so generous and hospitable. She gave me so much advice for the course that I had come to London to do and I really appreciate everything she has done for me. I can thoroughly recommend staying at Susan's and hope that we keep in touch.

    Lois2015-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for a pleasant and comfortable stay. Very comfortable and pleasant accommodation, and welcoming host. Will definitely try to stay here again in the future.

    Caroline2015-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • The house is clean and in excellent decorative order. Susan has a natural warmth and goes to the trouble of seeing that her guests are comfortable in her home in every way

    Brian2016-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Susan and her place were absolutely fantastic! I will definitely stay here again if the place is available on my next trip. Walking distance from the Tube and a very reasonable price. Susan was also great with communication prior to and during the trip.

    Michael2015-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Susan was extremely kind, coming to the station twice to guide me to her house. Susan is friendly and makes you feel relaxed in her house. The property has an interesting history and is quite unusual. Bedroom was large, clean and comfortable. I'd be very happy to meet Susan and stay with her again.

  • Vicky is great. She gave us a lot of options for the check in and she was very helpful and provided a lot of informations about the house and the neighborhood. Breakfast is not light at all, it's super. Vicky is a great host, nice and considered, we just regret we didn't see her very much cause we stayed at her during the week and she was obviously working. The house is so lovely and it literally takes 4 minutes from her house to the tube station. In addiction to this a lot of London guides and maps are available for the visitors.

    Andrea2015-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Vicky made me incredibly welcome in her lovely home from the minute I stepped through the door. Ideally located for me, the house is not far from Barons Court tube station with supermarkets and restaurants close by and I really appreciated having a set of keys for complete freedom. The bedroom was light, airy and quiet (nice waking up to the birds singing!) and the bathroom and kitchen were clean and well equipped. Great to have breakfast included. Vicky is a wonderful hostess - extremely friendly and accommodating - and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she'll have space for me to stay next time I'm in London.

  • I stayed at Vickys place for 12 days in the end of March and I can only agree with all the previous reviews. Vicky is a perfect host, extremely pleasant but also respectful of your privacy. The house is very nice, clean, warm and conveniently located. The communication was fast and efficient and I can strongly recommend anyone to stay with her.

  • Keeping in contact with Vicky was great, she is very uncomplicated. Room was exactly as expected, everything really good. Walking distance to train station very conveniant, breakfast arrangements wonderfull. Can only recommend and will certainly call again for any future London stays.

  • We loved our stay with Vicky! Vicky was a great host and the accommodation was perfect for our needs; clean, modern, in a great location and an excellent breakfast.

    Erin2014-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at Vicky’s warm, pleasant and convenient home. She went above and beyond in helping us make our visit to London enjoyable and in being so helpful with suggestions, excellent communication, information on the tube with destinations, special needs we had for example when I needed to find a nearby office supply store) and was as flexible as she could be with check in and check outs! The enjoyable breakfast was another big plus in staying with Vicky. When my friend’s plane was unfortunately ridiculously late, Vicky accommodated her being able to still get in the house. Most of all, Vicky is a genuinely kind and caring person and makes you feel so welcome. I also enjoyed the walk through the lovely historic cemetery, a lovely park-like setting, to Barons’ Court Tube Station. Thank you Vicky for everything!

    London, United Kingdom

A mini apartment within the clock tower apartment at St Pancras Station, with its own en suite bathroom and kitchen and sitting area. It sits in Sir George Gilbert Scott's gothic revival railway hotel building from 1868. Ideal for 1 week holidays.
The apartment is in the clock tower above St Pancras International Station. This guest suite with a double bedroom on the 4th floor looks out over Kings Cross Station. The apartment has another double bedroom, also on the 4th floor being used by the owner or by other guests. This guest suite has all its own facilities not shared with others including in addition to the bed, a living area, a small kitchen/dining area and its own bathroom and shower. As the apartment is on the 4th and 5th floors and fully equipped with secondary glazing, the road and railway noise is very low and almost nobody notices it but I would advise delicate sleepers to be aware of it before booking. The suite is available for short or long-term letting and ideally suits couples on holiday in London for a few days or a week. There is additional bedding available by prior arrangement if one or two others want to stay but THIS NEEDS TO BE DISCUSSED WITH THE OWNER AT THE TIME OF BOOKING. Clean towels are provided as standard as are soap/shampoo. This listing is very heavily booked but it may be worth looking on my other listing (ST PANCRAS CLOCK TOWER MASTER SUITE) which is for the master bedroom which I let out when I am not using it. The main difference is that you would then use the main kitchen on the 5th floor. Or contact me with an enquiry and I will let you know. Little things are provided in the apartment, such as a hairdryer, international plug adaptors and umbrellas. Let me know if you need London Oyster cards for public transport (electronic cards for you to use and top up) or a UK SIM loaded cellphone. The clock tower was designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott like an Italian bell tower but never held bells. The clock never has and does not ring. On the 5th floor, the clock tower room's height lends itself to some extraordinary events. See YouTube for a video of an aerialist on a rope (Gisele Edwards) or a silk rope artist (ErialC).
Neighbourhood It is within walking distance of many of London's sights, from the British Library next door to the British Museum and the West End 20-25 minutes away. There are lots of shops in St Pancras Station. The best mainstream grocery store nearby is Waitrose in the Brunswick Centre. There is more public transport within 100m than almost anywhere else on the planet (buses, metro, rail). What is really exciting about Kings Cross now is its pace of development. New office buildings will house the European HQ of (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) and many other businesses. As offices are completed, they are fully let such is the demand for space in this area. The opening of new restaurants and shopping facilities now and over the coming years is transforming a former post-industrial desert to one of the most exciting parts of the metropolis.
  • I've always had a dream to live in the St. Pancras building & the Clock Tower spot made it a reality -- & a magical one at that. Majestic, yes, but also homey, comfortable & welcoming. I was even able to join one of the amazing dinners by UNA & met a delightful mix of international diners all while enjoying a delicious dinner. & all the possibilities the Clock Tower holds are exciting & intriguing. Peter was the consummate host, kind & accommodating. So grateful for such a fulfilling experience that even included frequent trips to the BL. Can't wait for the next time!

    gerit2015-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about my stay at the Clock Tower was positive. Peter is a true gentleman, quick and polite communicator and flexible with arrangements. He clearly has a great love for his property and this shines through in its cleanliness, functionality and environment. I don't have anything negative to say about my experience. Having been a regular visitor to London over the years, this stay added a nice point of difference for me and I can only recommend it if you have the opportunity.

    Nathan2012-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • The St Pancras clock tower was a truly great experience. If you get a chance to stay here I highly recommend it. Both Peter and Tim are really great and so welcoming to this incredible space they choose to share. The bedroom is very large and has everything you need in the kitchen and ensuite bathroom. Make sure you take some time to appreciate the main clock tower room also as its such a great space. Overall a great experience.

    Tina2014-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • It was a fantastic stay at the Clock Tower! When you read the reviews you imagine it to be brilliant, actually staying there is even better! Cant recommend it enough, I will be back.

    Lucy2016-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • The first thing to say is that this place is enormous. We just stayed one night and, being local, were able to bring some food to eat in and share with a couple of friends. We stayed in the Guest Suite which is, as the description says, a large studio flat which takes up half of the lower floor of the larger apartment. The Guest Suite has its own kitchen and table that easily seats four people. There is a double bed and a sofa bed/seating area with TV, and it has its own bathroom. We were free to roam around the rest of the apartment (excepting the master bedroom which was also booked) and enjoyed sitting in the clock tower room on the upper floor with its double (treble? quadruple?) height ceiling and views out into area around King's Cross. We could have used the main kitchen/dining space on the upper floor for our meal as there was nobody else around for most of the time we were there but the Guest Suite was just fine for our purposes. We would recommend Peter's apartment to anybody visiting London. It is very comfortable (it is five stories above the noise of the streets), is in a great location (particularly if you are arriving at St Pancras or King's Cross!) and the area has great facilities (try the Spiritland Bar for some cool music). • I was very pleased to be able to hire the whole of the wonderful Clock Tower Apartment to celebrate my 50th birthday. The amazing spaces provided the perfect backdrop for a momentous event in my life adding a suitable sense of drama. The layout of the apartment encouraged everybody to explore and mingle with the added bonus of a grand piano in the main room. Peter let us visit well in advance to help plan the day and was available on the day to help us set up. If you are planning a big celebration then the Clock Tower apartment provides a unique experience at a fraction of the cost of any other venue. 5 stars!!!

Just a 17 min walk to Elephant and Castle station, zone 1 so all the attractions of central London are a short journey away, while you have peace and quiet when you want it. Renovations on hold, flat is clean and dust free.
The flat is clean and dust free as I am currently taking a break from renovation, although there is still more to do in the future, I won't be doing any while you are staying! I have loved doing the work and have taken care and attention over it. I have a feather duvet and pillows on the bed so it might not suitable for people with serious allergies. I provide clean sheets and towels and basket of shampoo, conditioner and showers gels so you can pack light if you need to. I currently have a flatmate who lives with me during the week when she's not in Paris so the room is generally only available from Thursday to Sunday. I keep my calendar up to date to ensure no one is disappointed. Children are welcome but as the renovations are not completely finished I would not recommend the flat for young children. Infants are also welcome but there is limited space in the bedrooms, so unfortunately not room for a cot in the bedroom if you are planning to have other people stay too.
Elephant and Castle is a really vibrant area, it is in the process of being majorly regenerated and it is going to be really interesting to see how it changes. It is surprising central and a great location to be based to get to the rest of London from. There are some great inexpensive places to eat locally, and some really brilliant places within a 30 minute walk or a shorter bus ride.
  • Very nicely decorated and well equipped flat, quiet and peaceful without being too far away from the city centre. We had a very nice weekend break.

  • Alice is a lovely, friendly host who I felt very comfortable with. Her artistic eye shows in the style/aesthetic of her home, and though it's unfinished it looks wonderful. Alice's place has an inviting atmosphere + everything you need. Clean, tidy, practical, nice to look at and good vibes. Would've loved to have stayed longer!

    Mary2015-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Alice's place is a great choice if you want to visit London and see the city from a local's perspective. I really enjoyed retreating outside of the downtown tourist zone at night to come home and relax in a cozy residential area. Her place is very accessible from public transit; even at 4AM when I had to go to the airport there were buses running regularly. I also really enjoyed her outdoor patio. Would definitely recommend!

    Anthony2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • The stay and the way the host made virtually everything OK, is to say, I would do it again if I were in London, today. Alice is an architect and the cottage has the clean lines associated with such a fine mind, but she also is down-to-earth, easy to talk with and salt-of-the-Earth. Metro and bus are an easy go. So what is not to like about this offer, I can only sit and wonder because the entire time things were simply sublime.

    scot2015-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Alice made me feel very welcome. The flat and the room were clean and tidy and the bath was particularly good after a day's energetic dancing! The area was quiet despite being an inner-city location. It's a really great place for a single person wanting to stay south of the river or who doesn't mind a few minutes walk to reach the tube or bus routes which then give quick access to the West End and the main tourist areas north of the Thames.

    Chris2015-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Alice is very sweet and nice person. I arrived at her home at midnight but she welcomed!!! and She really kind to me :) Her room is so clean and cool. I really had nice time here.

  • Alice is a very caring and lovely host! Communication was always prompt and well in advance. Alice also was happy to provide valuable information about nice things to see while in London! The cottage is very cozy and placed in a pretty and safe environment. It's definitely worth seeing that area since it shows a very different picture compared to the rest of London. We would highly recommend Alice and her place, though you might want to bring some slippers since it can be a little chilly now in wintertime :) Thanks again for a great stay, Alice!

  • Great apartment in a lovely part of London. Room was very big and comfy with great bathroom, living room, and lovely patio. Neighborhood was close enough to walk to the sights while far enough removed to feel like you're in a real neighborhood. Alice was also a lovely host, always easy to talk to and willing to offer some great advice for getting around the city. She was able to guide me to an obscure airport at an early hour as easily as possible. Definitely recommend!

  • Large and comfortable bedroom, good furniture and design in all common areas, wide and well equipped kitchen. Everything is clean and all instruction given were well detailed. We had a very pleasant stay. More variety and quality for breakfast together with a choice of bathsupplies would mare the place perfect.

  • We were welcomed by Juri and he was very helpful in explaining how to open and close the door. Our room was very clean and plenty of storage for our clothes. Cereal and coffee was provided for breakfast, nice people sharing the J.Haus. Location was fantastic, close to nice pubs by the Thames River near Hammersmith bridge, my recommendation is The Dove just 5 mins walk. I would certainly recommend staying at the J.Haus.

  • It was my first with airbnb. I was a little bit nervous about it, staying at some strangers flat for the night... But i Made a great experience with Stefano. He was a very welcoming an friendly host. The flat is located very central. The room was clean and bright and looks really better than the photo. I had a great time, Thank you and mille grazie Stefano.

  • stefano was super helpful and nice, the appartment is beautifully renovated and nice! due to a problem in the room that could not have been fixed last minute we had to stay at another place which stefano organized for us, it was not exactly the standard of the original room, but it was perfectly fine and he tried hard to make us feel comfortable, cool guy, nice appartement!

  • Stefano was very helpful with my arrival as I prepared to teach a seminar in London. The room was cozy and warm, a great value, and Stefano was very friendly getting me oriented to the neighborhood. The apartment building is right behind the Dog and Truck pub, there is a little street just to the side of the pub that takes you there. Easy access to the tube and plenty of places to eat.

  • Stefano was very welcoming and room was clean and tidy. Flat has everything you might need during your stay and was easy to locate. We could come and go whenever we needed and had a separate lock for our room so we didn't have to worry about our belongings. Would stay again.

    Laura2015-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Stefano is wonderful and friendly. And he was always enthusiastic to reply us at any time. He made a detailed instruction for us in advance and it's helpful. Besides, the room was exactly as described and Stefano offered what people will need when they stay in the flat, such as food, refrigerator, washing machine and so on. The location is good, a ten minute walking to the underground. Of course, I will definitely stay there again if we go to London next time.

    2016-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Nice experience. I checked in really late at midnight cuz of the passport control in the airport. Stefano was waiting me until I checked in and helping me with language carrying. Sara is also very helpful.

  • Me and my friend stayed for 4 nights at Stefano's. At our arrival Sarah was very nice and showed us around. You have to share the bathroom with 3 other rooms but Stefano and Sarah clean it almost 3 times a day so it is clean. The appartement is very close to Tower Hill. When we left Sarah was so kind to call us an Uber and Stefano carried our bags downstairs. the only thing that is not so fun is that there is quit some noise in the morning but u get used to that. I would recommend Stefano's to everyone

  • Another great night's sleep in a very grand bed, in a room with a massive terrace (I'm sure it's as big as the bedroom). The excellent shutters certainly help - there's no danger of the sun getting in and waking you up early when they're in place.

  • It's kind of a youth hostel. Every room is rented and we share the bathrooms, the kitchen and a small living room. The bed was far too small for 2 people (120cm) and we can hear trains pass near the flat very frequently (all the trains coming and going from Kings Cross Station and St Pancras International). The kitchen was okay and you can serve your breakfast with cereals and a lot of fruit. We didn't see Ricardo and Luis a lot but the communication was very good and easy with them.

  • Oh my god! It was better than any other hotel with the same price! Close to Waterloo bridge, and 10 minutes walk brings you to Westminter and Big ben. The interior of the apartment was so white and clear, very quiet room with exclusive bathroom use. The cleaner, Isabel was Fortugees and she was so welcoming and kind person I never forget! It was the best impression on Air B&B. Real vacation for me. If I visit London again, I will definitely stay there!!! Thank you Sebastian! :-)

  • The stay was absolutely brilliant with really welcoming host Seb. There's no doubt that the room was just as good as what it looks like online (even better), plus it was so cool to see London Eye just from the window. Located in the very central part in London, me and my mum enjoyed convenient travelling access from Waterloo or Lambeth North tube station.

    Litchi2016-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house however its very hot with the windows closed, no air-con or fans and far too noisy when the windows are open so woke up in a pool of sweat each morning. The mattress is very old and even after you get up off it, 5 minutes later you can hear the springs recoiling. The house is a share house, which was unbeknownst to me and other guest staying there at the same time, we found the ad heading misleading. No locks on the doors to each bedroom either so your belongings aren't as safe as they could be.

  • The apartment is absolutely gorgeous, just like the pictures! Ben is a phenomenal host, very communicative and informative prior to your stay. He is also easy to get ahold of and in contact with you during your stay. The apartment is very clean, spacious, safe and very well located. There is a little market right next to the apartment and great little pubs within walking distance. We would definitely stay at Ben's place again!

  • We had an exellent stay! Even though we didn't see the host, the instructions were clear and the apartment was very nice. Location is good, close to metro and you can also walk to the center by following the river, the view was beautiful there. I could come to the same place second time! We recommend :)

  • Great apartment in an excellent location for a fair price. Less good was that control heating, bed needs replacing and there is no mirror in the room.

  • I wasn't the one to stay and meet Pat but my friend was and here's what she thinks: Pat is the sweetest person. She was very easygoing and accommodating. Her place was very conveniently located, very close to the station. The bed was comfortable, there was no noise and it was clean. I'd stay here again.

  • This place is perfect! Really clean and close to public transport, though prepare to be taking multiple tube lines. Matches the pictures exactly. Aga was really helpful and check in was a breeze. We were allowed to keep to ourselves but Aga was always there if we needed anything. Would definitely stay again

Hi, my name is Tom. Welcome to my home. I'm the resident and manager of the Brick Lane apartment. Excellent location (Zone 1): Closest tube-Liverpool Street, Shoreditch and Old Street Vibrant neighbourhood consisting of many bars, restaurants and a pop-up mall. Very close to Beigel Bake, Rich Mix and Pizza East. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers.
The walls of the apartment are covered in art work and guests are always amazed by the interesting style of the place. Most importantly I am very sociable, friendly and always interested in meeting new people. I spend much of my time showing guests the unique and interesting things to do in London that you would never find in a travel guide. For a few weeks of the year you might be sharing the apartment with other Airbnb guests.
  • A wonderful place to stay! Thankful for such lovely communication with host and owner. A well decorated room made for a very comfortable stay. Great location in regards to public transport and shops/places to eat and drink.

  • The host has been always reachable: he replies in real time which is an important thing when you get in a foreign town bringing the lagguages across the city or you need to change some schedule in the diary. For exemple, we arrived earlier than expected and he confirmed of having no problem with that! or, last second, I asked for the hair dryer to close my bag and he confirmed that it was there! The apartment is in good position: easy to reach (by car, by public transport) , perfect to visit the hype neibourghood of Shoreditch or to move to the center of the town. Despite of being in a crowdy area, the room is not noisy. We never had breakfast in the apartment, but the area is super nice and there are lots of cofees and tea rooms where to have have it.

We could not speak more highly of Tom and our stay in shoreditch. It was amazing. We feel like we made a new friend along the way. Thanks Tom for helping to make Francesca's first trip to London a great memory.

Nice room for up to 4 people with private balcony near Brick Lane. The room comes with double bed and double sofa bed. Private balcony, bedside table with lamp, wardrobe. big windows, lots of light. Mirror for the best look :)
It's the most fun place to be in London. Brick Lane has a party atmosphere every evening and this flat is just far enough away that you don't get the noise. Shoreditch is 5 minutes walk away. It has a great night life at the weekend. The most exciting restaurants, cafés and bars in London open in this neighbourhood. The area has a rich and fascinating history, which can be enjoyed through one of the walking tours available. The Jack the Ripper tour is very popular. There are many artists, galleries and artist studios nearby. One can even go on a tour of the artist Banksy's work in the area. You are also 15 minutes walk to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. These are very popular for a first time visitor to London. You can actually get a boat from there to anywhere else on the river for £6. You can also get on a historic routemaster bus from there to Trafalgar Square. The Gherkin is 15 minutes walk away. It's probably London's most iconic skyscraper. There's a lot to see and do in the area. Within a mile there hundreds of bars, restaurants and cafés. The flat is technically in the parish of Spitalfields. The Spitalfields market is the nicest in London and there are also nine other markets in the area, which are a fascinating exploration in themselves.
  • The room is exactly as described. Clean and comfortable. Great location as walking distance from Shoreditch/Brick lane, also close to central London.

  • Our stay at Emran's flat was really really good. We were constantly in contact and he was always there to help. The room we stayed in looked really nice and clean and had a big window so it was nice to have the sun shine into the room. It was easy to get the keys, as he couldn't be there to meet us. The beds were comfortable and nicely made when we arrived. We shared the kitchen and bathroom with other guests but we had no problems with them. I can really recommend his flat as it is also only 15-20 minutes walk from Liverpool Street station which is perfect if you need to catch a train to Stansted airport early in the morning and the tube is nor running yet. Really enjoyed the stay!

    Jasmin2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Stying at Emran was really good. The location of accomodation is really good. We didn't have to use bus or underground, everything is very near to the accomodation. Description of location of the accomodation and the key box is very good and we found everything very easily. The Room A is very good. One big bed for two people and one couch for two people are sufficient. Kitchen was good but we didn't use it much. Bathroom was not so beautiful, but for taking shower sufficient. The only problem was with the water - we didn't know how to set it, so it was just too cold or too hot. I'm giving 5 stars to Emran. If anyone would like to know more, you can send me a message and I will try to response.

" Welcome your guests like you welcome your family" is my motto. My flat is spacious and has really relaxing vibes. the kitchen and bathroom has view on my private garden. Full of colour you will travel through a "Chic-Parisian" atmosphere. "
Situated in the triangle of High street Kensington, Holland Park and West Kensington, a very bright and sweet double room for a couple in holidays in London/ The room is immaculate and white, in a stunning state, and furnished in a very unique way. Like in north Africa , the door room is an amazing veil from an old church, but wood doors are in other rooms so your privacy is respected. The bathroom is very pleasant and illuminated by candles and a lovely heart (actual light), the kitchen is spacious and have view over the garden and The living room is very romantic and beautifully decorated. I am based in Central London where tubes and overground are 5 minutes away. The flat is big and very well looked after. you should expect to be welcome with respect and joy. The area has great restaurants and close to high street Kensington where all shops are waiting for you! Holland park is 10 minutes away and Portobello 20 minutes through Holland park. there is a lot of parks around and the river is 20 minutes away. My place is very unique, the atmosphere is smoothing and absolutely relaxing. For people who come to Olympia exhibition is ideal, one minute door to door!!!!
Around here, it is like a lovely village where everyone smile at each other. It is full of secrets placesxxx

I'd like to say you're a cool Mum I wish to be. You also have brilliant sense to decorate your house. Ohh, I love it! Warm, unique and romantic. Your home will be my home when I'll go back London again. Hope you and your sweet son have good holiday in Paris. Enjoy everyday, enjoy your life and career. Love you. Yours, Lynn

    Lin2015-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Laurence was a very nice host she answered all our questions very quickly and left us a nice breakfast in the morning of croissants. Great location. However, there was no door on the room instead just a sheet covering the door, and as there was many people working in the house at the time we felt we couldn't have privacy in the room. The curtains also didn't fit the windows and left big gaps and as people walked past the windows they could easily see in so I had to change in the bathroom. The curtains were also very thin and light so let all the light in the room, hard for sleeping.

    Charlotte2015-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Laurence is a fabulous host with really attractive personality. I have a very warming welcome from Laurence and she help me a lot. The house is really beautiful and clean, many details are very nice and close to underground station. I have a fantastic day in Laurence house.

  • The host is a so lovely and kindly beautiful lady! The hotel location is very very convenient for tourists, especially for those people from China. The room's equipments well and all in readiness for cooking and washing. Here I want to stress that host Nadia is a really really good warm-hearted lady that hard to find. After I and my son checked out room, we asked for storing our suitcase untill we come back. When backing to London,we still need book a room in the hotel for 4days, unfortunately, she has no room available. Nadia helped us to (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) another cosy hotel which is in very cheap cost. Not only, she printed out map and told me how to get there…… One more thing, I did note my cell phone left in her office, she caught up with me putting it back to me.I MUST to say Nadia is the best host I have ever met. I do appreciate everything she did for me and I will never forget her. Highly recommended!

    Mariela2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Everything as described. It was basic, but also all we needed. It is the center of Soho, just across the street from nightlife, so locationwise it is perfect.

    Luka2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very well located place for a weekend with friends. Would have loved to meet the host though. Everything was good.

  • Located close to all the action of Piccadilly, Trafalgar Square, and other top tourist hits. Easy to access and room was comfortable. Shareable bathroom was not a problem.

    Carmel2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • It was quite hard to communicate with Nadia at times so we were very worried about the room before we got there. However Nadia is very kind, though the communication with her was frustrating and unorganized before we arrived, but she gave us a lot of great recommendations when we did arrive. Besides that the room was clean though small. The kitchen area is fairly run-down and honestly the bathroom on our floor was just horrible..... dirty and run-down to the extreme... the toilet did not even really flush. (To clarify, the rooms share a bathroom with about 3 other rooms on the floor.) But the location can't be beat! Right around lots of shopping, restaurants, cool bars/other little places, and the underground stop at Picaddilly Circus. It was a little loud at night because the windows are pretty sad in their inefficiency and there was a restaurant literally right outside our window. But it wasn't anything that kept us up at night. The bed was a little cramped for two friends who want to maintain some breathing space, but we made it work just fine. There is also a futon for a third person. Check in was kind of complicated and specific, but we overall had a very nice stay.

    Morgan2015-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • The location is very convenient! The room is clean even it was old. But it was noisy outside, but not because of the environment, it is because of the the air conditioner. Outside window is the the place where has a lot of air conditioners.

We have a very special room in our house waiting for you! Spacious and cosy, just perfect to relax after a busy day out around London. The room has a single bed, wireless internet, fresh bath towels and bed linen, duvets and extra blanket. the room can accomodate 2 people, it has a single bed and also a futton mattress on the floor, it is a double futton mattress so when on the room there would be very little space in the bedroom to go around.
Our room is spacious and bright, has a single bed so you can relax after a day out, soft pillows and warm duvets.
Our neighborhood is very friendly, very quiet as well. we have a small supermarket just in the corner as well a off license where you can top up you oyster card. There is also a launderette if guests need to wash their clothes.

Location: Zone 1, two minutes walk from Angel tube station in central London. Really close to the major tourist attractions: Maximum 4 metro stops from Soho, Oxford Street, the City, Camden or London Bridge and just 1 stop from King's Cross Eurostar station. The Flat: The room is bright, facing a garden, so it's really quiet at night. The bed is comfortable and you have your own TV with freeview. There are a wardrobe and a chest of drawers so plenty of room for your stuff. There is also a desk, wifi internet and of course clean bed sheets and towels. The kitchen is fully equiped and has a microwave. The bathroom has a powerful shower. The area: The flat is in Islington (my favourite part of London). It's located in a peaceful and safe residential street, only 2 minutes walk from Angel tube station and the famous Upper Street, where you can find plenty of great pubs, bars and restaurants, 2 cinemas and 5 theatres! Me: I'm originally from France but I've been living in London for 10 years so could point you in right direction for restaurants, theatre and sightseeing. I work in recruitment. Love travelling, sport, cinema and independent theatre. I also like to meet new people and learning about new cultures! Free extras: Fresh towels Map of the area. Coffee, tea, milk, bred, butter, english jam, cereals, bananas and orange juice.
  • The room was quite lovely and very cozy. The bed was really comfortable. Loic was extremely welcoming and helpful! The neighbors were very loud and that made it hard to sleep but I believe that was a one-time occurrence. All in all, I would definitely stay there again!

  • Loic was very helpful, even before I left Sweden, and was very welcoming when I arrived here. The room has everything you could need, it was clean, and the bed were very comfortable. Staying at Loic felt like a home for a few days and I would highly recommend this place to anybody who is looking for accommodation in London!

Roupell Street was built in the 1820s. It and its neighbouring streets of intact Georgian artisans' cottages form a designated conservation area and most of the houses are Grade II listed. So the neighbourhood is a piece of living London history. A number of period dramas for TV and cinema have been filmed here, including the popular UK TV series, Call The Midwife. The street is quiet but lively, and exceptionally friendly - there are many young families living here as well as people working in all areas of the arts. The famous bakery at the end of the street, Konditor & Cook, is a daily temptation that's hard to resist. We are in the heart of the London arts scene, too, with the National Theatre, the Old Vic, and the Young Vic are 5 mins walk away, as well as the Southbank Centre with its concert halls and art galleries. Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe and Borough Market are also only a twenty-minute walk from the apartment. Closest Tube: Southwark Station Closest Rail Station: Waterloo Station Closest Bus Stop: 30 second walk from the apartment Closest Main Attractions (Approximate Durations Below): OXO Tower Restaurant, Bar and Brasserie - 2 Minutes OXO Tower Wharf (Unique Boutiques & Riverside dining) 3 Minutes Buckingham Palace – 10 Minutes I Max Cinema – 5 Minutes Royal National Theatre - 7 Minutes The Old Vic Theatre - 5 Minutes Skylon Restaurant - 9 Minutes Southbank Centre (Arts & Performance) - 9 Minutes London Eye (Millennium Wheel) - 5 Minutes 02 Arena - 12 Minutes Westfield Shopping Mall (Stratford) – 34 Minutes Heathrow Airport – 1 hour And much more! The immediate vicinity is very colourful and alive with many independent shops as well as pubs, bars, cafes, restaurants, and a good choice of supermarkets. There's an excellent Foyle's bookshop in Waterloo station and another branch on the south bank by the Royal Festival Hall. The area is Perfect for an extended holiday or for someone away on business needing a place to stay while away from home. 5 minute walk to BFI Imax, SEA LIFE London Aquarium, the London Eye, the Southbank Centre, the Houses of Parliament, ETC. 5mins walk Just across the river: London Eyes, the Houses of Parliament, the South Bank AREA, Southbank Centre, Royal Festival Hall, Hayward Gallery, the Purcell Room and Queen Elizabeth Hall. Bankside, the South Bank and Waterloo are easy to access: use London Bridge and Waterloo train stations, Blackfriars, London Bridge, Southwark or Waterloo Tube stations or take one of the numerous buses that travel to the area. Bars, pub, supermarkets, restaurants and famous London theatres are really nearby
  • The house is a little bit older but everything's neatly arranged and clean. Edison was an extremely friendly and helpful host who replied quickly to every question we had. The house is located quite centrally and a great location to head out and explore London.

    Marcus2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great time staying at Edison's house. Check in was very simple and Edison was in touch throughout my stay to make sure that everything was as it should be. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. The modern bathroom is large and even though other people where staying it was always available throughout my stay. The house is very convenient to shops, bars and restaurants, and is only a few minutes walk from Waterloo station. I would highly recommend staying with Edison, which I hope to do myself on my next trip to London.

    Eddie2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • The location is fantastic. Quick walk to Waterloo tube/rail station. 20 minute walk to Parliament for active individuals. Street is noisy but effectively muted with ear plugs. This property is old and has rickety stairs, uneven floors, etc. A good value place if you are just looking for a place to shower and sleep.

    Jennifer2017-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • A very central location, only a few minutes walk to the train station. The room was large and the bed comfortable. Our only complaint was the shower didn't work and though the large bathroom also had a tub, I prefer showers.

    Alan2016-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • The place is very convenient as its a walking distance from many of the main attractions in London. Although there is a shared toilet, this can be easily overlooked due to the many facilities and the cleanliness of the place. Highly recommended as a place to in London!:)

  • Ann was great and very prompt replying to questions and concerns. The neighbourhood has some great restaurants and a lively pub scene. The location is also close to the Thames and London Eye.

    Barbra2016-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • The room was very nice, great location. Quiet, clean comfortable. Ann was very helpful on directions, and understanding of jetlagged travellers. I would recommend for a short stay in london.

    Fred and Natalie2015-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely, spacious room in a comfortable house. Thank you for making me feel welcome. The house is on a lovely street perfect for commuting since it is very close to Waterloo station although that means the street is quite a busy one due to other commuters. However the noise at night wasn't too loud to stop me sleeping well. The house is also close to lots of interesting things to see and I had an enjoyable stay exploring the local area. Ann was very friendly and welcoming. My only criticism was Ann's friend who was meant to meet me on arrival to let me check in whilst Ann was away didn't turn up but this was rectified very well and another of her friend's came to let me in to the house.

  • Small 2 bedroom in a great location! Not a place to hang out but perfect to sleep when out all day in the city! Good price, would definitely recommend.

  • Great location, sweet balcony. Clean and everything you need to cook your own mean.

    Adi2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! Nice quiet spot in the heart of London, who knew that could be possible. A beautiful location by the docks - many shopping, dining and pub options to choose from right at the bottom of the stairs. A hip little neighborhood. We could easily get to any tourist sight from this location. Tower of London is a short walk away and the underground was so easy to access from here. Our stay was short and I wish we did have more time to stay in this great little flat and explore the city further; next year. Fridge, stove, good pillows, comfy bed and a great hairdryer. The balcony outside the bedroom was a bonus and another balcony at front was also lovely. Marisha is a very responsive host and thorough with instruction and easy to get a hold of. My roaming internet didn't work in London so I'm thankful she was quick to answer the phone. Just to be clear, my Wifi worked very well once in the flat and connected. Definitely a great place to stay in the heart London. Thank you again Marisha

In addition, Sheree was very helpful in providing knowledge of the area and her hospitality was great as well. Definitely a place to choose for a stay in London.
