  • A beautiful little bolt hole, perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life yet. Would highly recommend.

  • The Log Cabin is an idyllic getaway for those looking to escape for a few days peace and quiet. The bottle of wine on arrival was such a lovely touch and the cabin itself is decorated beautifully. We loved every minute!

  • Great place. Beautiful location

    Joe2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Such a stunning stay. The photos don’t do it justice! The lovely detail and cosy touches in this stay made our trip very special. Nice and quiet and exactly what a get away is made for. Nice small village with a local shop and The Fox Pub nearby which we did not need as we utilised the stay to have some delicious home cooked food with the fire on. Norwich city centre a 30 min drive, and coast places also only a 30 min drive. Overall lovely place to relax and so ideal for winter months. Want to visit again already!

    Chloe2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely retreat especially in the cold weather! A nice bottle of wine added a special touch on arrival and the log fire made it feel cosy. Just be careful when following directions straight from the Air BnB app as we ended up on a neighbours property instead at first

    Leanne2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Cute and cosy! We loved our stay. Our pup enjoyed snuggling in his bed by the wood burner, when we finally got it going! (We’re townies!) Perfect little base for a couple of nights. Had dinner at The Fox the first night, nice food, staff were lovely, booking recommended, it’s only a 2 minute walk, there are paths but it was very dark and muddy so bring a torch! We had coffee and cake at Lyng Stores the following morning, we sat outside as dogs aren’t allowed in but it was a lovely sunny day and was nice to see locals coming in and out of the shop, felt like a little hub of the community, everyone was so friendly saying hello as they passed us. Would stay again, thanks for having us and for the bottle of wine

The cabin is a light comfortable carefully designed and newly built Scandanavian style self-contained building with a complete kitchen, separate shower room and pull down Very comfortable Queen sized bed. It has a television with integral DvD player and heating under the wooden floor. Great Wi-fi, Contemporary lighting. Please note that hot water runs for 5mins very hot then takes 30 mins to reheat to same temp. Please don't change the settings as this will blow the thermostat.
The cabin is in my garden, with parking and just one minute fom the quay And it’s own private patio.. It is central to the shops and restaurants and bars in lovely Wells. Twenty minutes walk to the beach. I make sure that essentials like tea and coffee are available. The bed is made up and there are lots of towels. Shampoo, shower gel and washing up liquid are also ready to go! The kitchen is well equipped for two guests.
Wells is lovely. The sea when the tide is up. Early mornings, the beach. The super independent shops, the pubs, cafes and delis. The ease of living in a small town with a bank, post office and friendly neighbours!

  • Great location in Norfolk, short drive from the likes of Holkham, Wells, Burnham Market. Kate gave us lots of local tips and advice and communication was very good. The cottage itself is very cosy, well kitted out and there’s even a well stocked games cupboard. We also found the beds very comfortable! 10/10

  • A great cosy cottage in an excellent location Clean and comfortable Friendly host and well equipped accommodation Recommend for short break or longer stay

    Tristan2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Kate's cottage is really lovely - so cosy, clean and welcoming (it was great to walk in and find a tea tray set out on the table, complete with chocolate biscuits!) It's very well located with off road parking, but so quiet and has pleasant green views (and quite dark skies for stargazing). There are free range chickens outside the front door and a good sized enclosed rear garden. We enjoyed relaxing with the log burner in the evenings and slept really well under the feather duvets! Another stand out point is how well equipped the cottage is. Plenty of plates, cutlery, cooking utensils etc in the kitchen, extra toilet rolls - small points which really make a break easier. There's also a very well stocked games cupboard, and lots of books and DVDs. We loved our stay and would love to return for longer!

  • Super cute little place to stay for a couple of nights! Lovingly decorated and really cosy - obviously a lot of thought has gone into transforming the shed and it really shows. Regular check in messages from Alison and its was super easy to find and check in, only comment is that local transport is limited so would recommend having a car! Thanks a lot, loved staying here.

Pad barefoot across earthen tiles with underfloor heating. Modern insulation and a chic wood-burning Morso stove add to the cosy interior of this renovated cottage with doors overlooking the terrace and old farm buildings beyond. Enjoy cooking on the Everhot range cooker. March 2020. We’re taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations and using written/phone briefing with messaging. We have suspended 'Instant booking' to allow for an initial written conversation about safety. See our 'House Rules' for more information.
The Old Laundry is in countryside on a family estate with parkland, close to a listed 19th-century dovecote. The open-plan living area is in a just-converted small barn, with Morso wood-burning stove (logs provided), pamment floors with underfloor heating and two flat-screen TVs, the large one has netflix and both have freeview . It is finished to a very high standard and is a lovely mix of old and new: a contemporary kitchen with an electric Everhot range cooker, microwave and dishwasher, opening to a dining and seating area with a beautiful wooden beam. It sleeps four in two upstairs bedrooms in new pocket-sprung beds, one double, one super-king that can transform into twin beds, made up with White Company bedlinen. There is a shower/bathroom upstairs and a loo downstairs. Wifi is ADSL 2 (c17mbps).
The Old Laundry is set in farmland where horses and sheep graze. It's in the lively, history-rich village of North Elmham which has an excellent cafe, shop, and two pubs. A network of footpaths begins at the doorstep and the small lanes nearby are perfect for cycling. Guests frequently return to explore Norfolk's beautiful coast, stately homes, market towns, Norwich, and many attractions (featured in Mark and Hetty's guidebook), which include, for children, Pensthorpe's adventure playground.
  • A perfect weekend away - a really lovely place to stay. Mark and Hetty made us feel very welcome, and it was a lovely space to relax and be unashamedly lazy! Some good pubs and walks close by, or if you don’t feel like going out, it’s great for a cosy night in.

    Hannah2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Old Laundry is cozy and cute! Well placed for exploring North Norfolk. Mark and Hetty are very friendly and helpful!

  • We had a lovely stay at The Old Laundry! Mark and Hetty greeted us on arrival and showed us around. They were exceptionally helpful with recommendations ahead of time. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed - they even stocked the fridge with eggs and milk and bread and butter. So thoughtful! Even equipped with a toy wooden train set and games for our 4 year old! Couldn’t have asked for anything more. We hope to come back again soon!!

    Allison2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great and peaceful time here. Mark and Hetty are very thoughtful hosts. We cooked many big meals in their fully stocked kitchen. Cooking using their everhot was also super fun for slow cooked stews!

  • The Old Laundry is a wonderful place to rest and relax. The space is beautiful, warm, stylish, peaceful, and cozy. It was the perfect base from which to explore the local sights. Mark and Hetty were very friendly and helpful hosts who made delicious fresh bread and marmalade for breakfast and had excellent recommendations for places to explore and eat. I look forward to visiting again!

    Christine2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Mark and Hetty were amazing hosts. They ensured they were there on our arrival, they had fresh bread waiting for us as well as homemade marmalade. They were available before our trip to give advice on local places to eat, as well as them having an online guide and a folder in the property. Such a lovely couple and a lovely place to stay. Look forward to going back. Faye & Tim

Dine on BBQ grills in the Moroccan-themed covered sitting area, and in the 'winter months' stoke up the log stove and break out the board games for a night in. This self-contained space is decorated in a tasteful nautical theme, and includes a large walk-in shower room. Coronavirus: In order to mitigate the risk of infection we have introduced a new cleaning regime. We now undertake a sanitizing deep-clean using disinfectants on all surfaces including the floor and kitchen worktop, dining table and chairs, door and cupboard handles, tv remote, taps, loo light switches and shower area.
Cosy Cottage is a self-contained converted outbuilding situated in a quite off-road location with access to the extensive gardens and summer house. It is decorated in a delightful beach theme throughout and features a double bedroom, lounge, well-equipped kitchen, dining area and large walk-in shower room. With an HD TV and DVD player in the cottage, you can cosy up on the sofa and enjoy a quite night in. There is also secure parking.
North Elmham is a friendly village in the heart of Norfolk. Enjoy a cooked breakfast or light lunch at The Teapost, only steps away, and gastropub delights at The King's Head, 5 minutes' walk. The North Norfolk coast 25 minutes away is a must-visit.
  • It was an absolute delight to stay at Cosy Cottage. It has everything we needed and provided a wonderful base to explore Norfolk. The bed was extremely comfortable and the house was clean and cosy as the name would suggest. John and Linda were extremely welcoming and very helpful! The cottage was lovely and peaceful and provided the break that we were hoping for. We would completely recommend Cosy Cottage!

  • This is a beautiful cottage and we had a lovely relaxing break. It lives up to the name with the log burner adding something special. The hosts were lovely and gave us plenty of privacy.

  • We had a fantastic stay with John & Linda! Very friendly and welcoming, made sure we had everything we needed and gave great advice on places to visit! Cottage was very cosy, with a beautiful coastal theme. Bed was very comfortable, big walk in shower, tv has Netflix and the log burner is just amazing this time of year! If we are in the area again we will definitely look to stay with John & Linda again! Thank you both for a great stay.

  • Our first time using Air B&B Plus. We found the cosy cottage very well presented and styled. Really enjoyed our time there. The summer house was cosy even in the winter gales. Enjoyed the log burner. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The local pub was great and they serve an outstanding steak pie.

  • John and Linda's cosy cottage is the perfect place for a cosy, romantic weekend away! The cottage has everything you could wish for and the most comfortable bed ever! John and Linda are the perfect hosts, they went the extra mile on the small details that made our stay perfect and they gave us the best recommendations for places to go and eat, Thank you John and Linda!

    Carey2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Cosy Cottage. Hosts are extremely friendly and welcoming with all the things you need for a great stay including recommendations for day trips and the best local pubs.

    Harriet2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I stayed in the Cosy Cottage 24-26th January. When we arrived, we followed all the instructions John & Linda left us and opened up to a beautiful little cottage. The house itself is so clean, well maintained and decorated so well, and the attention to detail makes staying here so worthwhile. When John & Linda got home, they greeted us and helped us with the wood burner, which we absolutely loved the entire weekend. Every time we had a question, nothing was too much trouble and they are the best hosts! We literally stayed in all weekend, watching the complimentary Netflix in front of the fire. The cottage is so romatic for a couple's weekend and on the way back - on John & Linda's recommendation - we visited the beautiful Wells-Next-The-Sea. It was a perfect weekend!

Ditch the car and explore Wells-next-the-Sea, staying in a stunning shepherd's hut. Cosy wood burner, deliciously comfy bed, en suite shower & WC, kitchenette, garden area, parking. Walk into town to see the working fishing boats, chic shops and fantastic restaurants. Or to the Coast Path and magical views over the salt marsh, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's become a treat to host special birthdays, anniversaries and mini-moons. COVID-19: No bookings from 23 March until next update
It has been a real labour of love to source and prepare the shepherd's hut for guests and I hope you enjoy the results. From the plants in the garden to the stylish crockery, everything is designed to create a pretty environment for you to relax in. The rural location gives you a sense of space and the hut has its own drive, parking and garden. Birds and butterflies thrive in the wooded dell, including the resident cuckoo. Sitting at the table inside, you'll see the trees silhouetted against the sunset as you eat an evening meal. In the sunny garden you can spread the day's newspapers out on the picnic bench, topping up coffee from the cafetiere. I also provide deck chairs for basking in the sun. The bed is deliciously comfortable and inviting. The en suite shower and taps have instant hot water. The wood burner is seriously effective and out of season you'll soon find that you're more than toasty. New for winter - heated towel rail in en suite! The hut is also insulated and double-glazed. We have mains water. The electricity is partially supplied by solar panel. I've found ways to provide you with nearly every comfort you'd expect in a normal self-catering property. The only differences are that heating is by the wood burner, cooking facilities are limited and there is currently no wifi or TV. However, the 4G reception is extra good (a by-product of the offshore wind farm) so you can still get online and stream videos. When there are lots of people on the campsite using their showers, the water pressure to the hut may sometimes run low, affecting the consistency of the hot water supply. Bed: Pocket sprung double bed with Cath Kidston duvet cover and hotel-quality towels, sheets and pillows. Storage for your clothes: baskets under the bed, a bespoke ottoman, lots of hooks, hangers. Dining table and chairs, digital radio, Bluetooth sound bar, kitchenette with gas camping stove, full size fridge with ice box. Door leading to en suite shower, washbasin and wc. Liquid soap, shower gel and moisturiser provided. Shelves and storage for your additional toiletries, shaving mirror. Garden: Picnic bench, garden bench, deck chairs to relax with a book and glass of wine, Weber BBQ. Parking: Designated car parking for one car. Heating: Wood burner. Also provided: Enough wood and kindling to get you started with the wood burner, gas for the camping stove and charcoal for the BBQ (more wood, gas canisters and charcoal for sale on-site), chocolate treats, milk, tea, coffee, sugar. We have no mains electricity, so the fridge and lights are powered by solar panel and leisure battery. I provide a 12v charger with various adapters so you can power your mobile etc but there is no TV, WiFi or microwave. I provide a gas-powered cordless curling tong. I used to provide a hair dryer but it was prone to trip the 12v system. Cooking: We have no oven but you can cook simple meals on the gas camping stove. Pans and cooking utensils provided. Keep the window open if you use it inside. You can also cook using the charcoal barbecue in the garden. Instructions and a couple of roasting recipes are in the guest information folder. There are also plenty of great restaurants, fish & chip shops and cafes plus good supermarkets, delis, bakery, butcher and fishmonger in Wells. Tea/coffee: Boil the kettle on the gas camping stove or wood burner. Tea, coffee, sugar provided.
Wells beach was named Sunday Times "Beach of the Year" in 2016 and it's not hard to see why. The wide open skies, the sense of freedom even on a busy summer's day, the sweep of colourful huts against the pine forest. Located one mile from the harbour, you can walk along the beach wall to get there, taking in the view of the channel lined with leisure boats and the salt marshes and sea beyond. You can also take the little narrow gauge train part-way there or there is a car park if you choose to drive. We have fantastic gastro pubs, fish & chip shops and cafes a short walk from the shepherd’s hut (I can make recommendations) and great independent retailers along Staithe Street. Or to find solitude and wildlife you don't have to walk far. Local OS map and walks books available for use by guests. Wells has a rich calendar for art and culture. Live theatre screenings with Screen-next-the-Sea, music and theatre at Holkham Hall and the annual festivals. Norwich attractions are an hour away. Sport: swimming pool at the school, sailing, tennis courts, park run at Holkham Hall, lots of great running and cycling routes on your doorstep. As well as the landscape, it's the lively community feel that makes Wells special - the historic fishing fleet landing the day’s catch on the harbour wall, the sailing club ‘sharpies’ racing out by the lifeboat shed, children ‘gillying’ for crabs, and the popular annual calendar of events, including Wells Carnival, Poetry-next-the-Sea, Wheels-next-the-Sea, the Pirate festival and the magical Christmas Tide.
  • we had the most wonderful weekend at the shepherds hut! it was such a cosy little spot for my partner and I to get engaged!! Zoe left us vegan treats which was so thoughtful, and we had everything we needed for the weekend. Zoe gave us so many recommendations for local places, we felt like locals ourselves with all the knowledge she gave us! thank you!

    Grace2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, walking distance from the lovely village of Wells Next The Sea. Cosy, quaint and well-equipped cabin with good sized shower and on-demand hot water so long as you remember to switch the power on! Radio, mobile speaker, glasses for wine and champers provided. We stayed in March so needed to use the wood burner for heat but there’s a Weber BBQ for when the weather is warm enough to cook outdoors. All very lovely and Zoe replied to our messages asking about local eateries by return.

    Trish2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for making our stay extra special with all of extras the hut has to offer! The log burner was a lovely centre point with enough logs to keep us warm each morn and eve! Wells is such a great location too, with great walks, scenery and places to eat and drink. Thanks again, Chris and Ellen

    Christopher2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing. Zoe is very hospitable and care a lot about her hut. The wood burner makes great atmosphere (and is very warm!), you can find in the hut everything what you need. Close to town, 10 minutes to shop, but still you can feel like in the middle of nowhere and no one disturbs you. Thank you Zoe!

    Anna2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Zoe was the perfect host, great communication and always on hand for any advice and local tips. The hut was lovely, exactly as you see in the pictures, with lots of nice touches and the log burner kept me warm and cosy. Wells town centre is a 10 minute walk away, where there are some lovely coffee shops and pubs - The Globe Inn is a must! There are lots of walking routes within a short distance so perfect for my little getaway...I'll be back!

    Lisa2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is even better than it looks- perfectly snug, super clean, with so many thoughtful touches and everything you could need for an easy and enjoyable stay! We could tell that a lot of time and care has been put into making the cabin as lovely as it is, so please do give it a visit. We stayed in January and were perfectly warm (once we'd worked out how to keep a fire going in the wood burner!) :-)

    Indira2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay in hut, it was more spacious than expected, it had everything we needed. The bed was really comfortable and the place was sparkling clean. Great location within easy driving distance to local walks. It was beautifully quiet and felt really secluded and private. We would definitely come back!

    Trixi2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for 2 nights in January - so cold and wet, regardless the shepherds hut was lovely. I think we under estimated how cold it could get, when the wood burner was off. I suggest taking plenty of extra wood. I certainly would recommend to a friend and would come back.

  • We had a lovely stay at Veronica’s place, the location is perfect for exploring beautiful Blakeney. We booked very last minute and Veronica was very communicative and helpful. The accommodation was ideal for a weekend break being located right behind the deli for picking up breakfast supplies and a short walk to the local pub. Would highly recommend.

    D J2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was a snug fisherman's cottage that had been lovingly restored and tastefully furnished. It was convenient to stroll into Blakeney and had a very interesting deli just in front, which had a good mix of luxuries, like chocolate croissants and lots of local Norfolk produce. There was a great selection of wine, beer and locally sourced cordon bleu microwave meals which were definitely not your supermarket variety. Local parking was convenient and cheap. The rooms were a bit on the tight side for a 6 foot 2 man but had been laid out well to maximise use. The kitchen had pretty much everything you would need and it was a fun experience to stay in the cottage. It reminded me of many holidays spent locally as a child. Thank you Veronica. It's always impressive to see how many practical and tasteful touches have been thought of.

  • We had a lovely stay! The cottage was just as described and the village was lovely. Great pub just a short walk away and great dog walking routes along the salt marshes. Perfect base for exploring. Would definitely recommend to others! Just be warned of the road... It can get quite busy but we didn't find this a problem.

  • We had an amazing few days in Fox Cottage. The accommodation is beautiful, cosy, and homely: we fell in love with it and really enjoyed sitting in front of the log burner during the blustery evenings. Stiffkey is a lovely place. We regularly visit the North Norfolk coast but this was our first time in the village and it was perfect for accessing the salt marshes and coastal part. The Red Lion pub is just a few minutes walk from the cottage was really hospitable with decent food and a nice selection of gin. We would definitely stay at Fox Cottage again.

In the house we found everything we needed for our stay and more, it is beautifully decorated and furnished, with all mod cons. Veronica is a great host - any queries we had were answered extremely promptly. I'd highly recommend this cottage, we will be back soon!

  • The cottage is lovely, and well equipped. It is cosy. We were 6, 3 adults and 3 children, and it was perfect for our stay. There isn't a lot of spare space, so it might have been tricky if we had been 7, for example, for fitting around the table at mealtimes. All in all we had a really lovely stay, and would definately go again. The cottage is perfectly located, and Blakeney is a really lovely village. The coast is beautiful. We had some lovely walks.

  • A lovely stay. 😊 The cabin is much more spacious than we thought, plenty warm enough too, even in a few cold nights as our stay was in March. Sizeable kitchen area was great to make our own meals in. A very comfy bed too, with clean and warm warm shower. Terri was lovely and welcoming, providing a few nice touches with tea, coffee and some milk in the fridge when we arrived. Great location too with Co-op just over the road to grab essential supplies. Ideally located for strolling down into town, but just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of centre. We will be back soon 👌

  • Highly recommend the location of this pretty cabin. Within easy walking distance of the harbour and shops. Terri is a great hostess. We even had a great time in early November in very changeable weather.

  • Terri has given a lot of thought to the extras that made our stay more comfortable. There was no need to take along any cleaning materials as everything is supplied. The cabin is clean and well presented. The bed is comfortable. We will stay here again

  • A lovely, cosy cabin in a great location. Terri is a perfect host , always helpful and thoughtful. We have visited this cabin repeatedly in recent years, much preferred over other accommodation that we have used in Wells in the past - great value in every way.

    Shirley2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. Was lovely and private, perfect size for us, lovely and clean. There were dvds and board games for the kids to watch when we just needed them to wind down. The gardens are gorgeous! And the chickens clucking are lovely to wake up to in the morning. Everything you need for a stress free get away.

    Candice2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second visit to the White House. We had another absolutely fantastic holiday and were v sad to leave. Celia was v kind and hugely helpful, it’s just the best place for a holiday with kids. We all love the chickens, ducks, cats, horses. It’s relaxed and perfectly located for all that is going on in North Norfolk.

    Sophie2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic family cottage. We went with young children and they loved every moment. Great location. Celia is a wonderful and thoughtful host. The place was comfortable, clean and cosy and just what we were looking for.

    David2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • We just spent a wonderful week here & loved our time. We had our 2 boys with us (11 years old) & the place was perfect. Celia was a lovely host, brilliant getting back to us before our stay & just a lovely person when we met her. The house itself just felt like home, it was cosy, spacious & quiet. The area was great as we were only 20 minutes from Wells, however the village was quiet & away from it all (allowing us to safely explore the area on our bikes). We would definitely stay again if we were in the area & we can highly recommend.

A bright and newly refurbished apartment, sleeping 5/6 right in the centre of Blakeney close to quay and near lovely restaurants and shops. Blakeney is a historic coastal village with seals just off Blakeney point. A unique part of old England.
Really unusual, spacious and comfortable apartment which has small outside seating veranda
Blakeney is part of England that has retained its individuality and charm Lovely traditional seaside village with a traditional quay with boats coming and going, lovely walks along the salt marshes and coast, mini beach, great paddling, mini canoe hire for children. Crab fishing off the quay. The best beach is Holkham beach, very sandy and lots of space, sand dunes etc. This is to the left along the coastal road. Wells has a good beach as well and the village is nice for looking around. Going right along the Coast road are shingle beaches. Sheringham and Cromer. There is a pier at Cromer. Best shops are in Holt. Lovely old market town. There is a small supermarket in Blakeney within walking distance. Go down to the quay and turn left. Also a small variety of interesting shops. Places to eat within easy walking distance are two pubs child friendly, the Kings Arms and The White Horse. The Moorings for slightly more expensive meal, but they also do lunch and coffee. Two hotels that do food The Blakeney Hotel and The Manor, a lovely little cafe at the Methodist Church in the High St. for lunch and coffee, good value and children’s toys. Stately Homes to visit, Holkham Hall, Blickling and Sandringham. For a real treat Morton Hall, run by TV chef Galton Blackiston. In the summer you will find a caravan on the quay selling lovely crab sandwiches and also an ice cream shop near the quay. The harbour rooms usually have local bands at weekends. The village hall has antique fairs and there are often sales of crafts near the quay. The seal trip is a must. You can buy tickets at the bottom of the road.
  • The photos don't do this place justice. Veronica's apartment is clean, cosy, spacious & absolutely charming. There are some stunning quirky features reflecting the age of the building which we loved. Check-in was easy and everything we could have wanted was available in the apartment. Location wise, I don't think you can get much better. Just a stones throw away from the quay, downstairs there is a delicious deli (we had an amazing breakfast one day!) and all the best restaurants and pubs are on your doorstep. Shower was great - hot and good water pressure. We wholeheartedly recommend staying in Veronica's place - best bargain we've come across in a while. Thank you for hosting us!

  • Great place to stay in a beautiful location, excellent value for money. Veronica has great communication and is very flexible with timings.

  • A great apartment above the deli on Blakeney high street - lovely and clean warm and comfy - perfect after a day out in the Norfolk countryside.

  • Lovely quirky spacious property in the centre of Blakeney. Very comfortable & warm.

    Tania2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely 17th century cottage in the heart of Blakeney. Although car parking not available at the cottage there is car park very close by. Lots of lovely coastal walks and organised boat trips to see the seals. Would love to come back for a longer stay!!

    Karin2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Right on the High Street above the deli, yet not at all noisy, we had plenty of space to relax. The kitchen diner is spacious and very well equipped, plenty of crockery and kitchen utensils if you need to do your own meal. Nice comfortable sitting room, again spacious for 4/ 5 people. Two bathrooms meant there was no queuing for the shower. Wonderful open spaces in Blakeney, ideal if you enjoy quiet walks with nothing but birdsong, miles and miles of footpath to explore. A delightful village, very good places to eat and drink and lots to explore further afield.

Sea Pink is two minutes' walk to Wells Quay - with magical views, working fishing boats and an unspoilt wilderness. All within a few steps of fantastic restaurants and chic shops. Sea Pink is small but stylish. We have thought carefully about every detail for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Very clean, Smart TV & WiFi, high quality linen, parking. A mile to the huge, beautiful beach, lined with beach huts (including our own for hire). Covid-19: Bookings cancelled for 3 weeks from 23 March.
We love Wells and want our guests to have a special time too. The decor of Sea Pink is designed to be calming, the cottage is equipped with everything you could think of and we can recommend our favourite things to do, see and eat depending on your interests. You might want to escape to the saltmarsh, beach or countryside and see some of the wildlife on our doorstep, sample delicious, local food, or explore the historic country estates. Sitting/Dining Room with dining table and chairs, sofa, armchair, monk's bench, flat screen Smart TV, DVD, CD player, WiFi, sound bar, clock radio with Blu-tooth speaker Kitchen with gas hob and electric oven, fridge with ice box, microwave, washer/dryer, Tassimo Coffee Machine and breakfast bar by stable door Bedroom with double bed and doors off leading to ensuite shower and small separate cloakroom with washbasin and wc. Garden: Decked courtyard with garden furniture. Parking: Designated car parking for one car. Heating: G.F.C.H. Also Provided: Towels. Hairdryer. Local magazines, DVDs, books and games.
The beach a mile from the harbour was named Sunday Times "Beach of the Year" in 2016 and it's not hard to see why. The wide open skies, the sense of freedom even on a busy day, the sweep of huts against the pine forest. Ask about our beach hut if you want to make your stay extra special. We have fantastic gastro pubs and cafes a short walk away (I can make recommendations) and great shops along Staithe Street. Or to find solitude and wildlife you don't have to walk far. Local OS map and walk books for use by guests.

Jason and Louise live in the farmhouse with their four young children and Guinness, the black Labrador. The house is surrounded by a large garden and orchard, which you are welcome to share. The surrounding meadows are grazed by cows with their calves during the summer months, and Lionel the horse loves to meet visitors, especially those bearing apples. Two friendly hens, Iris and Snowy, range freely. There is wifi in the room. The TV has freeview channels and a DVD player and there is a radio.

Oystercatcher is a charming, traditional two bedroom Norfolk fisherman’s cottage situated on the High Street just a short stroll from Blakeney Quay and all of the village amenities. Perfect for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of day to day life this property has been recently updated and now has all of the modern requirements required whilst retaining every bit of its coastal cottage charm.
Upon entering the cottage in to a long entrance hallway you will find the living room on your right with a lovely, comfy sofa, and arm chair perfect for snuggling up in front of the gorgeous wood burning stove. In the corner is a dining table that will comfortably seat four. Neutrally decorated and opened up to the kitchen, this room feels very light, airy and welcoming. From the living room, down a small step is the traditional, small but well-equipped kitchen which has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge freezer. The kitchen is tastefully decorated and allows access back through to the entrance hall off which is the ground floor shower room and the door out to the wonderful enclosed courtyard garden which has a pretty table and chairs set, perfect for sitting and sipping a glass of wine on a warm sunny evening. Back inside and to the front of the house is the good sized double bedroom. Up the original, steep ‘Norfolk Winder’ cottage stairs from the sitting room is the large twin bedroom which looks out over the high street. This room has a good sized en-suite bathroom. There is a pull out bed that we can set up in the upstairs twin bedroom to sleep 3 guests. Extra charge applies.
Surrounding area Blakeney must be one of the most sought after coastal villages in North Norfolk. The whole coastal area, much of it owned by The National Trust, is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, attracting both sailing enthusiasts and ornithologists. The village retains a unique atmosphere with many of the old mariners’ and merchants’ houses remaining in its narrow streets with others tucked away in flint walled alleyways. The main street runs down to the Quay with its salt marsh and channels, with Blakeney Point beyond. There is a surprisingly wide selection of shops, public houses and hotels. A wider range of amenities can be found in the Georgian town of Holt, about 5 miles to the south.

  • This cottage is fantastic - a secluded and quiet area, very pretty and the cottage had everything we needed. Ideal location too, with the priory just opposite (and a little farm shop - with a cheese vending machine!) and only a few miles from the coast.

  • Simon is a fantastic host, quickly responding to any request or question and left a lovely reception gift that was much appreciated. The Barn is amazing and the pictures don't do it justice, it is a great place to stay, very spacious and spotlessly clean with every possible amenity you could need. My family of 4 boys ranging from 11 to 17 all had their own beds and ensuite bathrooms and had a fabulous half term break with the location ideally placed for all the attractions of north Norfolk. I would highly recommend Simon's Barn.

The county’s famed ‘big skies’ will entice you with its immense sweeping beaches, unspoilt villages, traditional seaside resorts and tidal creeks just waiting to be explored. Along the way you’ll find sandy cliffs, shingle beaches, salt marshes and a Nature Reserve at Holkham – all designated as areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Wildlife enthusiasts can take a boat trip to Blakeney Point to visit the seal colony there. Check for schedules and prices at Beans Boat Trips and Bishop’s Boats. Not got your sea-legs? Then visit the Hawk & Owl Trust Reserve at Sculthorpe Moor just outside Fakenham. Pensthorpe Natural Park is also worth a visit, and has a good cafe and shop. Often called the bird-watching capital of Britain, the coastal areas especially offer a large range of locations for bird sightings. Visit RSPB nature reserves at Titchwell and Snettisham or just wander the coastal paths or quiet back-roads armed with binoculars and see what flies by.

Outside and garden To the front of the property there is lovely antique bench with a beautiful table and chairs to enjoy the sunshine with a glass of wine or fresh coffee from the local delicatessen. Testimonial: Alan & Jill from Derbyshire - Really lovely cottage. Great location. Perfect for our needs. The only regret is that we could not stay longer. We will certainly return, it is just a matter of when!

Fo’c'sle is a delightful detached timber clad retreat, located in the heart of the North Norfolk countryside just a short drive to the coast and one of North Norfolk's best restaurants, the Wiveton Bell, making it ideal for couples to both relax and explore this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Fo’c’sle, (pronounced Folksall), is an old fashioned word for forward castle, the part of a ship with the sailors' living quarters. Set in the heart of the glaven valley, you don’t have to worry about the sea conditions to enjoy this peaceful hideaway!. Attractively furnished with many of the finishing touches coming from the local potttery/gallery “Made in Cley”, the open-plan ground floor offers a well-equipped compact kitchen, a bright kitchen/dining area with double doors opening into the private courtyard and a cosy sitting room with wood burning stove. On the first floor you are greeted with a large bedroom with picture window providing lovely views over the church and valley and a comfy king-size bed and en-suite shower room. The cottage is looked after by the owners who live next door, who can give great tips on what to do and where to go in the local area. Nestled between the coastal villages of Blakeney and Cley-next-the-Sea, Wiveton is an ideal location to enjoy the beauty of the glaven valley with its wildlife, birdlife and walking opportunities, whilst being located just one mile south of the coast road. There is an excellent bus service operating along the A149 coast road, the 'Coasthopper' which is great for walkers in that the bus route shadows the Norfolk coast path. This enables one way walks to be undertaken with relative ease and is a great way of visiting the coastal villages without the need to use your car. The Wiveton Downs is a registered "Dark Skies" site where it is possible to see the northern lights, or aurora borealis, and this area of the UK boasts some of the darkest skies in the country being that it is unaffected by light pollution and so making it ideal for star gazing. Additional Information Two well behaved dogs are welcome (small additional charge). Unfortunately this property is not suitable for infants or children. The bed has synthetic bedding. Logs are provided for the wood burning stove. Ground Floor: Sitting room Ample comfortable seating, wood burning stove, flat screen television with Freeview and a DVD player. • This beautiful cottage is perfectly situated for long walks and pub dinners. The interior is smart, modern and comfortable and we were left a selection of treats to make us welcome, wine, biscuits, crisps, etc. We loved staying here, watching the ever changing tide in the harbour and the harbour life.

  • Jen and Nat have such a beautiful home. My son and I had the best nights sleep, the bed is super comfy, the room was so cosy and the upstairs space was great too. Loved the little touches; leaving breakfast plates/bowls out for me and for my son (so thoughtful). Also having breakfast available for us and being around to help with bags etc was so kind! Everywhere was so clean and they had everything we needed. They helped with bags and directions and responded quickly to messages. I would definitely recommend staying here. It was definitely the relaxing stay I’d hoped for!

  • I stayed at J&N's for one night for a friend's wedding. They communicated well before I arrived, allowing me to check in while they were away. The room and facilities were extremely comfortable and clean and I was made to feel welcome. Breakfast was provided (although I did not have time to take up the offer). Meeting J&N in the morning they were very friendly. Would thoroughly recommend!

  • This stay was perfect! Great location with parking directly next to it which was very convenient! The hosts were fab at getting back to you and when we got there we found a personal, cosy, private space with a comfy bed, blackout curtains, lovely decor and our very own breakfast room in the attic. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend!
