  • my girlfriend and I used one the tree house. Even if it was small, we felt nothing was missing. A bed, A net and a very large terrace with a hammock. The beach is the best of the island, you can't go wrong.

  • We just had the best time at Raymond's place. Little Corn Island is magical and Raymond's place is like a dream. He greeted us on arrival with his friendly style and made us feel very welcome. The treehouse we stayed in was clean and airy. The rest of the property is lovely and the beach is one of the best on the island. We highly recommend Raymond and his property if you want a true get away. If you go there please say hi from us!

  • Fantastic stay!!! It's a beautiful island and a wonderful location to build bungalows!

  • Ensuenos is a beautiful, secluded place to stay with one of the nicest beaches right on your door step. It's important to note that it is a bit of a walk to town which was nice to be away from but may not suit everyone. It also got very hot inside the treehouse with no fan but that was more to do with the time of year we went. Overall it's a nice place to stay to chill and get back to basics and we really enjoyed our stay, thank you!

  • Ensueños is a wonderful place! You stay at the nicest and cleanest beach of the island and the owners are very nice and helpful. We stayed there for one week and enjoyed every day in this paradise. If you like to be surrounded by beautiful nature and relax in this peaceful environment this is the perfect place to stay at.

We have two tree houses (1 and 2). Each one of them is a simple bedrooms with palm roof, solar light, mosquito net on doble matress. Lovely terrace with hammocks and nice views to our beach.
You will feel like a bird.
Estamos en plena naturaleza, frente a la playa mas bonita: un lujo primitivo.
  • Ramon and his beautiful wife were extremely lovely and welcoming hosts, we found the property to be in a stunning location with gorgeous little huts as our accommodation like something right out of the blue lagoon, it is definitely on the prettiest side of the island and we loved how peaceful and relaxing the place felt. Our only misunderstanding was that the rooms didn't provide power points or wifi. But they were more than happy to allow us to charge our devices during the day at the restaurant using their solar panel electricity. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this place to our friends and family.

  • My girlfriend and I had a great time staying at the Tree House (area is called Ensuenos if researching online). Here are some things to consider when deciding to stay here: - The room is basically only big enough to fit the bed so if you need area to change/leave your bags, keep this in mind. - This side of the island has a nice breeze that the "in town" side doesn't get... super nice for the hot and humid nights. Being up high in the tree house made this even better. - Approximately 30 minute walk from main village but much more peaceful/quiet. - You can have breakfast/lunch/dinner here. Vida is the lady who cooks the meals and they were fantastic especially if you don't want to make the longer trek into town. However, you can find cheaper meals in town. - It gets dark early so make sure to bring head lamp / flash light. They have lots of candles which help a lot and made a big difference but you'll still need extra light (No wifi/electricity). - Just for clarity as it is not in listing but the tree house consists of 2 separate rooms in the tree. It is super neat and well built. - The entire property consists of many different types of cabins/rooms with varying levels of "amenities" so be sure to reach out to Ramon to see the variety of what is available because they differ quite a bit. - If bugs (cockroaches, lizards, etc.) bother you keep in mind that you will likely notice some. Although the net around the bed keeps everything out and the tree house is kept very clean. - It's not very easy to find for the first time when it's dark out. Make sure to receive clear directions or when you arrive, have the water taxi bring you over.

  • A wonderful place on the best beach in the island. Be prepared to walk a lot if you want to eat out. The tree house is very small, just enough room for your bag and the bed but it's a great spot full of charm. There's no electricity so the nights are dark so its best to set the body clock to the sun!

  • Our stay at Ramon's place was lovely ! We found everything that we have been looking for on this perfect little island : peace, calm and very friendly people. Ramon and his people were very helpful and nice to us and the lunch we ordered was exquisite. I highly recommend this place !

  • we had an amazing time in ensueños! The place is lovely. It took us 30 minutes from the dock to the hotel by foot. Its better to walk the way in daylight. There is no light in the hotel but they have an Outlet if you need one. The "room" is very simple but it's nice to sleep in the trees listening to the sound of the waves and the forest around you. If you want you can get amazing food there (we had the breakfast and it was perfect!) if you'd like to cook yourself there is a kitchen but you need to make a fire to cook so its a bit adventureous but fun. There are many hammocks, swings and a slackline directly at the beach for your pleasure. I can also highly recommend to go snorkling directly at the hotels Beach we saw 2 sharks and a stingray. We extended our stay from 2 to 5 nights so i think that's enough to say. You will love it here. Thanks ramon for the good time.

  • Amazing! The most beuatiful place we have visited. The best location on Corn islands. Very calm, wonderful beach, great snorkeling, many animals. We love the place.

  • My friend and I stayed at Ensueños for three nights. It's a wonderful little Eco-get-away. If you want to get away from a western-driven Wifi-world this is the place to stay. We initially booked the treehouse, but when we got there two other friends were supposed to come the same night spontanously and my friend was quite sick, so Ra showed me other, more spacious and more comfortable housing options. we ended up staying at Casa Woula, a two-storey house, which is surrounded by beautiful plants and trees. Everything was clean, there is a small kitchen with all the equipment you need and an outdoor bathroom and shower. The architecture is beautiful, almost a little Hundertwasser-like. There is no electricity to charge equipment and no Wifi - If you need theses things you need to get into "town", which is like a 20 min walk through a beautiful forrest. At night it can be very dark, so definitely bring a good light. Ra and Jud and their lovely family were very kind and we enjoyed the stay there a lot. My friend was quite sick when we arrived and Ra went to make a delicious tea from local leaves for her. The beach is surreal and also Otto-beach is just a short walk away along the coast. We've been very lucky with the weather with 4 days of sunshine - so the path to ensueños was also easily accessable - I suppose it can get quite muddy and slippery when there is a lot of rain. Just a few things you need to think about before getting there. It's been a dream. Gracias por todo Ra y Jud.

  • Lovely host, beautiful place, made with love. Highly recommended if you want to live the island live. We did a lot of fishing from the beach and had our fishes for dinner. Compared to the other side of the island, where all the tourists hang out, Ramons place is more quiet and definitely more beautiful!

we are facing the most beautiful beach. The people of Ensueños strive to maintain a harmonious relationship with nature around us. Our accommodation is good for couples, adventurers, families with children, groups of up to 25 people.
  • Ramon and Judy were great hosts. Upon arrival Ramon showed us different cabañas as ours didn't have a bathroom which we weren't specifically aware of. We quickly decided on a slightly more expansive cabaña (with bathroom) which was equally beautiful as the one we picked beforehand. The location of Ensueños is beautiful, nice, peaceful with a great little beach upfront and a nice snorkeling reef. A bit far though from the village (about 20-25min by foot), of which most of the path (through the forest)is unpaved and unlit during the night. Food at Ensueños is very good though so we didn't feel the need to go to the village for dinner. The cabaña was clean with a good bed and equally good mosquito net. The outside shower is good fun especially at night when the fireflies come out. Ramon's place is not particularly a party spot so if you're looking for some more excitement during the night we recommend you bring a flashlight and find your way to town. We absolutely had a great time at Ensueños and would definitely go back! Thank you to Ramon and Judy for having us!

  • Ramon was a very gracious host, super nice guy. As far as ensuenos as a whole, there's really no words to describe how amazing it is there. See for yourself.

  • This place is idyllic. We stayed in the 'town' for 2 nights and here for another two. We wished we had booked this place for all 4!

    Ashley2017-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. Just as advertised - a bit off the beaten path, and no frills, but gorgeous. Secluded, peaceful, almost empty beach, excellent food, clean shared bathroom and shower. This is about 30 minutes walking distance from the village, but a perfect getaway to chill out and enjoy the sleepy island of Little Corn.

    Amanda2017-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • A great location on the north side of the island! Very nice beach right by and a natural breeze you don't get at the harbor area! The huts/bungalows are great and blends perfect with the environment! Chilled, quiet and relaxed atmosphere, but a bit far from "town", so not ideal if you want to do a lot of activity there.

    Kenneth2017-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We very much enjoyed our stay! Ramon was very accommodating when we arrived a little earlier than expected, and was even able to squeeze us in for lunch. The breeze on the north side of the island keeps the whole area a very comfortable temperature, and our room had a beautiful view of the ocean from the bed (coco down). The facilities were clean and well maintained, and the artistic details were beautiful as well. The meals we had were some of the best on the island. We truly felt rejuvenated by our stay after 10 days of travel through the mainland of Nicaragua. Will be recommending to our friends and family.

Lugares de interés: The most beautiful beach. Te va a encantar mi espacio por We are the real caribean Island Dream. Our food is fresch and natural as our spirits and surroundings. Perfect place to relax.. Mi alojamiento es bueno para parejas, aventureros, familias (con hijos), grupos grandes y mascotas.
  • Ensueños is a wonderful, remote, artistical paradise, which makes you feel that you play a role in a Robinson Crusoe story. The beach is one of the most pristine beaches I have ever seen and together with the East side beach, the most beautiful on Little Corn. The owner Ramón has created artistical cabañas and objects, and you will shower in the open air, with palm trees as a roof. You have to take into account that you stay in the heart of nature, which also includes spiders, crabs and bugs. So make sure to not bring any food into your cabaña and to keep your bags closed. Luckily, due to good mosquito nets you will have a bug free sleep. Also, nights can be very hot and sweaty, due to absence of electrical services (e.g. a fan) from 4 p.m. to the next morning.

    Melissa2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment we laid eyes on Ensueños, we knew we were in for an incredible six nights. Ramon has taken the most beautiful part of the island and let his imagination run wild, building interesting, playful little places to call home for the week. There are so many great spots to chill out, from your cabin's hammock, to the beautiful beach, to the giant fishing net that we spent hours reading in. My favourite part of the day was early morning when I would rise and enjoy the outdoor shower before anyone else was awake. Ramon and his family are the best breed of hosts, kind and helpful, warm and welcoming. They have created such a magical vibe of freedom and relaxation. Believe me, Ensueños gets into your soul and just feels good. I've found my happy place. Tips: Ensueños is about 25 minutes from the town/panga dock (awesome jungle walk or beautiful coastal stroll, choose your own adventure) and a flashlight is a necessity. My boyfriend and I made the walk at night many times without incident, but a solo female traveller might feel more comfortable staying somewhere closer to town.

  • Wonderful place to get away from it all!!!!

    Rob2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful place. Plan to stay for awhile.

    Ann2017-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, peaceful, secluded and totally relaxing as you are unplugged from the world! Palms and white sand beach at your door steps! Hammocks and lovely wood benches/ beach chairs to hang out and read. Shared outdoor shower/ toilets were all part of the experience and felt totally private. The assortment of chickens, turkeys and roosters were fun to watch (nature’s alarm clock). We arrived rather late on the ferry from Big Corn and Carlos literally pulled up with his small boat to take our packs to Ensueños ($8 per person and easily arranged with Ramon). Little pricy, but we got a good view of the island and didn’t have to deal with carrying heavy packs and trying to find the place at dusk. Great places to snorkel close by and equipment can be rented from the 5 star hotel just down the beach (we brought our own). If you’re on Little Corn to scuba, Derrek’s Place is a 10 min walk along the beach or 25 minutes back into town and there are two other places. We did 5 dives and a night dive with Dolphins and highly recommend them, but talked to others who enjoyed smaller groups with Derrek’s too. The walk to town is lovely, especially in the cooler mornings, but don’t forget bug spray and a head lamp/ torch at night! Its pitch black after sunset and a little scary in the jungle with falling mangos, huge crabs and beetles whose eyes glow in the dark. Plus there’s the rain/ mud to navigate. My daughter and I are pretty adventurous, but this walk is not for the faint of heart…recommend women don’t go alone. We stayed 3 nights and then moved closer to town for the last 2 to get a little nightlife. Overall, loved our stay at Ensueños and regret that we didn’t take any of the meals with them, as they looked and smelled fantastic. Oh…they offer beers for $2 and appeared to have wine with dinner. Hard to keep anything ice cold on Little Corn, but beers were cold enough after being in the heat/ humidity!

  • We experienced four days in paradise. Ensuenos is such a nice and calm place where one can feel caribbean vybes. The huts, bathroom, shower and kitchen (with nice little open fire places to cook ) are constructed and beautifully decorated with all sorts of natural material .

    Rahel2017-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • I would definitely visit Ensuenos again. Awesome location on the beach. Be prepared to walk (20-25) minutes into town (opposite side of island) if you want to leave the location for a meal or if you need to purchase something/use wifi. There is a kitchen on site and clean drinking water is provided. Overall great experience.

We are right in front the nicest and more quietest beach in the island. The exhuberant forest at our backs. We appreciate our privileged location and act accordingly with love and gratitude for this natural gift, which we love sharing with those willing to appreciate.
Estamos en la zona norte de la Pequeña Isla del Maiz o LIttle Corn Island La islita es muy tranquila y sus habitantes, muy amables.
  • Ramon's place is beautiful. You can tell a lot of joy was put into putting together the buildings and the area around them. Watching all the families of animals surrounding us (minus the banana spiders) was joyful. Snorkeling from the shore of Ensueno's was super exciting as we got to see tons of fish. Walking around the entire island was thrilling but it's definitely bigger than we thought it'd be. We ended up walking for 30-40 minutes to reach the town or the Turned Turtle/Karma Shack area. Although we enjoyed staying at Ensuenos, we did get tons of exercise. Totally worth it to stay in a secluded area, away from the loud nightly music of the town :-) Please make sure to do your research on traveling to and from the island if you're on a schedule (do not recommend this). Thankfully we were able to stay on schedule with the help of the locals.

  • It was an amazing time at ensuenos! Very relaxing, very nice people, and an incredible surrounding!

    Sarah2017-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a trek thru the jungle that is well worth it! Very peaceful. It is a walk to the village that could be muddy and slippery after the rains. It has lovely artistic touches throughout. Very zen. Outstanding beach! Ramon and his wife are lovely spirits!

  • So great !! Paradise I do recommend !

    Julie & Arthur2017-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Ensuenos was truly a gem. In all honesty it was the best place on the island to stay. You have the beach and a nice cool breeze right in front of you. There are Turkeys running wild and friendly dogs and even a cool bunny enclosure. Food was amazing. Very rustic, don't expect five star western amenities but you're not traveling all the way here for that, you are coming here to get away from the busy life at home to a beautiful peaceful island where life is simple. It's a nice walk to town, nothing strenuous, just a nice walk. This is the place to be!!!!! Why stay anywhere else on the island when you can have it all at Ensuenos. Bring some snacks Incase you get hungry. Peace and love

    Lianna2017-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Ramon was a fantastic host! We arrived in Little Corn a day later than planned due to weather conditions and Ramon kindly pushed back our reservation so we didn't miss out any nights. The entire property is very special and feels like your own oasis. There are all kinds of animals cruising around and plenty of fresh coconuts/fruit trees to pick from. This was the perfect getaway for us and we were sad to say goodbye!

    Emily2017-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Ensueños is a very nice place to stay. Beaches are close. Dinner was god. The place has its own Spirit. Any time again.

    Verena2016-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Ensuenos is located on one of the most nicest beach of the island. The house is beautiful, very charmful, it is built about 20 meters off the sea, in the jungle. Ramon is welcoming and nice. The little house is clean, nice, and the surrondings are very quiet at the exception of the birds and little animals of the jungle. To get to the center you have to walk about 20 minutes in the jungle. It's a long walk, but it wasn't so much a problem for us. The food proposed at Ensuenos is very good, we recommend it! However there was one inconvenient for us... Ensuenos functions on solar electricity, like other facilities on the island. For us that meant we had about 3 hours of electricity inside the bedroom, which wasn't a big deal because we were away a lot... the problem was that we did not have a fan ! We were in a period of the year where the weather was Very hot and heavy. There was no air at all at night, so not having a fan was a problem for us. It was super hot and very hard to sleep. Also there were little holes in the net provided for the bed and so the mosquitos could come in. For the price paid per night, no fan in a such hot environment is clearly a problem. Other facilities less expensive do have fans on the little island...

  • This was our second time staying at Ensueños. I can't imagine staying anywhere else on Little Corn Island. The location of Ensueños is absolutely paradise--the beach is beautiful and the cabins in the dense coconut tree woods are beautiful. Make sure to try the food--it is delicious and fresh and much of it is grown right there on the property. I highly recommend this place.

  • This tree house is located in Ensuenos camp at the quiet, breezy, beautiful end of the island. If you don't mind the 30 minute walk to the nearest shop through the jungle and living without electricity (candle only in the treehouse, building your own fire to cook in the communal kitchen) alongside a lot of interesting critters, then this is the place for you. The food offered isnt cheap for Nica but delicious!

Rest retreat on a dream island. Room in a 2 bedroom independent apartment inserted in a wooden house. Land within 5 minutes walking from paradise beaches.
Near the center on quiet área. The land as a well the guests can use.
  • The house is big and new. However the kitchen is very dark in the morning, as there are no windows and there is no electricity until 1pm on the island. Also, there is only one small broken fan in the room, and the widows do not have screens on them. So you either get bitten by bugs at night or you're hot (or both). Honestly, for the price there are better places to stay on the island.

    Eva2017-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very quiet and nice, felt like a private little cottage get away to ourselves on a budget. A bit of a walk from the very nice beach on the other side but we just went to the closer one and it's still gorgeous. Sandra wasn't there when we went but her friend Claudia took care of us and was available for any questions or concerns. Rooms stayed very cool with the fan and big space. Kitchen was great. Friend I was staying with rebooked already!

    Karissa2017-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay in Sandras' beautiful and spacious wooden house on Little Corn Island. It's perfectly located about five minutes walk from the peer in a huge garden. Having dinner on the porch while watching the milky way and listening to anything but the sounds of the surrounding nature is really hard to beat. (Except discovering the islands' underwater life ;) Thank you for your hospitality! We would definitely come again! Marina and Daniel

    Marina2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Sandra's place was a good place to stay during our dive course. It's on the more quiet side of the island and you have a lot of space to yourself. The kitchen is ok and the bathroom too. Only thing is electricity doesn't flow from 6am to 1pm but they told us that it was like this on the island in general... Anja the housekeeper is very nice and helped us out a lot she speaks only Spanish though. Mary from the diveshop also came by and told us that she could help us with anything we needed. We never actually needed anything but communication works well.

    Paula2017-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Nice house but pretty "far" away from everything (the island is really small). No one on site, to get help you have to walk ~1km to the responsible (really nice and helpful) guy.

If you're going to Little corn stay here with Paola and Ben who left us to our own selves but were on hand for anything we needed.

  • This is without a doubt your Robinson Crusoe dream coming through with access to clean water and electricity all the time. :) the property is lovely and though there are a few things to do on the island we were simply unable to leave the most beautiful beach we have ever seen. Look out for eagle rays and a the ever so friendly Emma swimming up real close to the shore!

  • First of all the location is great for snorkeling and hanging out at the beach. Its a nice place to stay with a beautiful view of the ocean and you can walk the beach both directions for quite a ways. Lots of good reef to check out. The walk walk to town is 45 minutes by foot path so its best to have Bing take you by boat to Farm Pease and Love. (he is Paola's husband). You don't want to carry your luggage that far. Be sure to bring a bright flash light in case it gets dark before you leave town. It gets dark early there around 5:30 and you don't want to get off the foot path. Bring insect repellant and use it when spending any time you are outside. Mosquitos and sand fleas will bite and you won't know it till you start scratching like crazy. I hope I haven't deterred anyone from going to Little Corn Island because it truly is a beautiful place.

  • Our stay at Farm Peace & Love was everything we hoped for. Between the quiet/secluded location and the picturesque beach, we couldn't have asked for more. Paola and Bing seem to know everyone on the island and can arrange snorkeling or fishing where the guides pick you up right at the beach. We wish we were still there! Bonus: Their garden is amazing and Paola is a tremendous cook. Super Bonus: Their four dogs are super entertaining and are the best beach companions! Must love dogs though.

  • A great secluded spot with perhaps the best beach on the island. If you want to get away, this is the place to do it

Daydreams is an eco-lodge, a small farm and a reserve of wildlife conservation. We are located north of the small island, facing the best beaches and reefs, breathing pure Caribbean. Our little restaurant offers delicious food and our gardens are always full of fruits.
The penthouse is our smallest room. Enough room for a double mattress, mosquito net and luggage. It is a room to sleep. The input is climbing a dry tree. It is not difficult, but you want to return to the youth! Daydreams is an eco-lodge, is also a small farm and a reserve of wildlife conservation.
Daydreams is on the north side of the little island, 20 minutes from town, in the jungle and against the best coral reef area.
  • Perfect backpacker spot, 30 min walk from the town (really easy) and just stunning location. beautiful secluded beach, animals, nature and calm waters. Perfect! Th only thing to note is you will be close to other rooms (often in the same hut but divided by walls sometimes shallow walls. You don't hear much as the ocean is white noise at night.

  • We arrived really tired and exhausted and were amazed from ramons place! Ramon was really helpful and welcoming. Ensueños is simply a paradise. No words can disprove how amazing it was to stay there!

  • Nice, peacefull and calm place to find back to your base. We really enjoyed the stay and would recommend this place to everbody who likes to stay in nature! The beach is outstanding! Katharina and Joschka

    Hailee2017-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • Very special place on the island on the most beautiful beach of the whole island. The cabans are built by the owner, I would call it natural architecture. Everything is made of what nature brings. You will straight away feel the special vibe of the place and relax. The owners conserve their land pretty Well by vinding a perfect balance between tourism and nature conservation. I thought this is one of the most wonderfull places on the island! But if you don't like a walk to town, if you can not live without wifi or air con or hate to see a mosquito or other insect at night (you're sleeping in nature) this is not your place.

  • Ensuenos was nothing less then perfect for my girlfriend and I. Jud and Ra helped accommodate a boat for us from the pier to ensuenos which was very helpful with our luggage. Ensuenos itself is on a perfect part of the island for a constant breeze and a clean beach. Also very easy to explore the island and the coast line. Highly recommend ensuenos

  • Ensueños is an amazingly beautiful place right in the jungle and with a very beautiful beach. Place is very well taken care of by Ramon, his wife and their associates. Canada house is also very well equipped with the kitchen, shower, and toilet. The only thing you need to be aware of is that it is literally in the jungle, so there are all kind of animals around. But as long as you are fine with that, it's an amazing experience.

    Dmitry2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely unbelievable place. Beautiful property on the most beautiful part of the island. Ramon and his wife are very welcoming and nice. The walk is fun, it is through the forest but it is cool, don't forget a light!! The house is fantastic and one of the most private houses on the property. Private bathroom and shower is great, plus a kitchen! If you can, 100% stay here. No complaints.

    Daniil2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • I want to do the kind host a service as well as those who are interested in this place (to avert vagueness and misunderstanding) by communicating a bit more than what can be gleaned from the current description. To be accurate, this is a beautiful, rustic wooden house on a large property with other similarly constructed houses on it, all very near or facing a secluded coastline 25 minutes walk from the small village on the opposite side of this tiny island sans cars or scooters. It would also be fair to call this compound a "quasi-resort," since it does offer meals and access to some rental gear, but, otherwise, does not pretend to be anything but a remote collection of rustic dwellings in a lush, forested seaside parcel of land. As such, the house is set back in its own area and is very private and romantic. But the amenities are rather rustic. There is no fridge, no electricity beyond the lights (i.e. no device charging), and no hot water. Enjoying a meal on the spacious wooden deck by candlelight couldn't be more ideal, but you will have to be resourceful to make it all happen. You can procure a block of ice in the village for the provided cooler, but sometimes no ice is available at all. You can also find freshly caught fish along the village shore, but it also isn't always available. And the choice of fruits and vegetables is also limited in the little shops. There is also a handful of restaurants, of course, and the walk into town at night is a nice adventure--bring a flashlight or use your cell phone to negotiate the forest path. As other reviews mention, the "best" snorkeling spot is here, and, indeed, you can easily swim out to a reef with stag coral and other interesting sights. You may even spy a turtle, eagle ray, or barracuda swimming by. And the ocean is very warm. All told, this place offers a wonderfully authentic Robinson Crusoe experience, but may not be for suitable for those seeking normal household amenities and/or resort comforts. Also, the host and his family are very friendly and approachable. (Thank you, Ramon!)

    David2017-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Ensueños is a secluded oasis on little corn. Ramon is very genuine and definitely adds to the visit. When he speaks I instantly feel a bit more relaxed. We were on a dive trip so his place was a bit of a walk (30 minutes) from the shop we had signed up with but there is another on the island close to his place. Had we dove at the closer spot we would have stayed longer. The beach near his place is the best on the island with a few reefs close to shore.

    Dhruv2017-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Hard to describe the feeling you get staying in a place like this! It's truly, 100%, one of a kind. Ramon and Jud's hospitality is unmistakably genuine and their connection/commitment to the land and guests can be felt. Can't say the experience offered is for every taste out there but we certainly wouldn't change a thing. The no wifi/limited power is perfect for those looking to truly disconnect and the 5 star resort next door will happily fill in if you're eager to reconnect.. win/win! We've been dreaming* about being back there since the day we left!

  • It is always a pleasure to stay at ensuenos with Ramon and his family. The property is located on the most beautiful part of the island and offers the perfect amount of privacy. It is difficult to put into words how truly magical and this dreamscape is. We will certainly be back :)

  • Little paradise, great place to stay for total calm, with the possibility to get back to the village anytime

  • This is a unique stay, right at one of the beaches on the island. The rooms are very simple and is basically only for sleeping. However, you don't need to stay in your room that much and the other commodities at ensuenos are great. Plenty of hammocks to relax in. The meals we had were also great. Ramon was very helpful with whatever we needed.

  • Ramon built Ensuena from the ground up with love. From the first moment we saw the property we felt like we were Robinson Crusoe! Unparalleled beauty and comfy beds make this a one of a kind stay. We've traveled all over Central America and this is what we've need looking for! Dinner was delicious and made for a truly special night!! Can't wait to come back ❤

  • Perfect location (far from the center so really quiet but you have to be ready to walk 25min for every meal) However quite expensive for a small room and common bathroom (don't be shy : there are no doors at the toilets!) and lot of bugs !

  • After enjoying ourselves so much the first time we had to return to this incredible little hut. Being taxied over by boat you feel like Robinson Crusoe landing. Ramon, the owner, has such good Zen and really encourages you to relax. So happy to get to wake up a coconut's throw away from the beach. Beautiful photos from every angle. Definitely a must stay, can't wait to come back!

  • Absolutely Amazing! I'd love to keep this place our little secret but it would be an injustice to the beautiful wonder Ramon has created with this property. Quiet, private and peaceful. 3 tips to future visitors; take as much advantage of the outdoor shower as possible, do not pass this up its absolutely incredible, have dinner at Ensueños at least once the setting is gorgeous and stay as long as possible. The hardest part of this whole trip was leaving, it far outweighed our expectations. Last, for a traveler who rarely goes to the same place twice, Ensueños holds a peace of my heart and I will be back! I'd recommend Ensueños to anyone :)

    rosemary2017-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, albeit rustic retreat. If you like camping (not glamping), you should definitely stay here. A 25-minute walk from town, you are far removed from the rest of the tourists, and any who stumble upon Ensueños are immediately jealous. The best beach on the island. If you are even remotely particular, need air conditioning, or are squeamish about nature (spiders, crabs, things that scurry in the night and eat your food in your room), then please STAY IN TOWN. You are exposed to the elements outside of the mosquito nets, which work (too) well and don't provide much circulation; you will sleep hot. Don't try and toughen up your girlfriend by bringing her here. Now, if you enjoy being off the beaten path, compromising comfort for beauty, and appreciate the effort it took to provide running potable water, a shower, a flushing toilet, and modest lighting, then you MUST stay here. No Wifi, if that's a negative you don't belong. Plan on bringing your own food or eating onsite as there are no other food options around. Highly recommend, although it's a bit pricey IMHO, for what you get. The owner Ramon is great and one of a kind. All being said, I would definitely go back.

  • Ramon was very sweet and made us feel very welcomed. He contacted us as soon as we booked this listing to ask if we needed transportation to the location and was very responsive when we contacted him with any questions. He messaged us to see if we would want to eat upon arrival as their little restaurant individually creates meals based on reservations. It is a beautiful space and a great vibe.

    Fallon2016-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • What a place! The most beautifull beach of Little Corn and it's all yours! The vieuw is amazing, even from your bed. The kitchen is very nice. It was the best place to stay! Thank you so much! We all loved this place. 4 girls how travelling Nicaragua.

    Peter & Sharon2017-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely piece of paradise on this remote island. Ramon was most welcoming and provided great insight on the area. Breakfast was also great with all harvested eggs and fruit on site. Ideal place to relax by the Caribbean. You can stay at Ensueños and enjoy the handmade rustic environment, hammocks, swing on the water etc or you can walk around the island and drop by the nice beach bars around for a bit more civilization. The house/hut was great and clean, really high standard. The feeling of waking up by the waves and sea breeze is definitely an unforgettable highlight. After walking around the whole island, for us it was definitely best place in Little Corn (maybe except the luxury resort beside Ensueños, didn't sleep there), but for sure best location and beach. If you arrive in the last Panga, don't hesitate and take Ramon's offer to have a small boat bring you. If you don't know the way, walking in the dark jungle with a big backpack, it's doable but not really worth the effort. In daylight it's no problem and an added pleasure to walk though the tropical forest nature. Very little light at night, except for candles, the fireflies and stars are amazing.

    Oriol2016-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a very remote accommodation with no access to wifi and electricity only between 10-3, then this is your place. It makes meals a hassle unless you are bringing your own food. The prices charged for meals is ridiculous, asking $18 US for dinner. No breakfast included, and asking $7 US. We spent a lot of time at Derek's place and Yemaya (both on either sides of Ensuenos) as the hosts there were incredibly welcoming and friendly. You can pay the same price for amazingly prepared food at Yemaya, still expensive, but a boutique hotel can ask for those prices, not accommodations such as this. There was also no communication prior to our arrival at the island so we were lost in getting to the place. Ensuenos is on the very northern part of the island and you have to take a long walk, 30-45 minutes, depending on weather, to get there. If you are looking at really roughing it, this is your place.

    Dina2016-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Ramon's place! It's perfect if you want to relax some time without the "modern world" (there's no wifi, charging phones etc is only possible in the kitchen from 10 am until 3 or 5 pm, can't remember exactly). Food is excellent, but quite expensive. The walk into town is only 20 minutes, there are plenty of other and cheaper options. Ramon's place is right next to the most beautiful beach of the whole island, it's got an absolutely amazing spirit. Our hut (casa tortuga) was basic but that's exactly what we were looking for. It had enough space for 5 people (we were 2 people) and we had our own bathroom. We still preferred to take the showers in the outside shower since it was such a nice shower in the middle of the coconut palm trees. If you stay there, you should definitely bring a flashlight/ head lamp for the walk through the forest and since there is little electricity. We'd fully recommend this place and go there again without hesitation.

  • Best place to stay on the island. There isn't one negative thing I can say about this house. It was the perfect stay for my girlfriend and I. The house had everything you need and was immaculate upon arriving. Bodie the Property manager is the coolest guy on this island and will take great care of you. He set us up with an amazing day of snorkeling and fishing and they have a lovely woman next door who can cook everything you catch for you. And she's an AMAZING cook. Make sure you ask bodie to set you up with her Rondon one night for dinner. You will not regret it. The house has a beautiful beach only a couple steps in front of you. We spent hours just swimming right in front of the house. The house always stayed a great temperature. The breeze is so nice. We actually had our last two nights booked at Yemaya to end our trip but ended up canceling to stay 2 more nights at troys. It really doesn't get any better than this place. Best location on the island. Can't thank you guys enough and can't wait to book our next stay!

  • As frequent travellers we use Airbnb for a certain reason: the feeling of coming home, being relax, having your space and try to become one with a city, a place or a moment. It’s not about being a tourist; it’s about living (even it’s for a short time) in a place. Troy & Bodi their place brings all of this together in a magical place. First of all: if you think ‘should we go to Little Corn island’ the answer is YES, you should. The island has everything you want on holiday: no cars, good food, friendly people, a Caribbean Sea in front of your bed, snorkelling paradise… it’s just amazing...like a postcard…. but then a real authentic one… Adding Troy and Bodi’s place to this vibe and we can guarantee you: this place will stay in your heart forever. We’ve booked 2 nights but stayed 5… The location is on the ‘quiet’ side of the island. Just looking from your window to the Caribbean Sea with just enough of wind that you always have that fine breeze that makes the heat very conformable. You don’t need AC at night because the climate makes it perfect. However, there’s a fan if you would need it, but we didn’t. The kitchen and living room is really comfortable with all amenities you need to make your own breakfast or meal. We only made some breakfast, coffee and a small snack since the food on the island is so good and cheap that you basically can’t resist of eating somewhere else. The bedroom is really comfortable and more than enough space for clothes or suitcases. Bathroom and shower are brand new and one of the only places on the island with a good working hot shower. It’s called Troy’s place, but Bodi is running the place. He lives in the back of the house and is always ready to assist, give advice or fix some excursions. If you think: so there’s always somebody watching me like a guard: he’s not. Completely chill. Don’t worry, you’ll love him. After reading this kind of review you might think: there must be a catch, something must be wrong, or this might be a fake review. Trust me: it’s not. When you like to travel, explore, and enjoy but also want good comfort and feel in paradise without paying your entire month salary, Troy’s place is the one to pick. Stop searching for something else: you’ve found the best place on the island. We hope you’ll love it, just like we did. Thanks Bodi & (Troy)

  • A perfect place to stay on Little Corn Island! We stayed one week at Troy's Place. It offers everything you need, a well equipped kitchen, a bedroom with a huge bed, a cozy couch and a bathroom (even with a hot shower). Another big Plus is that the water is filtered. It's located 5 seconds away from the beach, so...the beach is right in front of you. Bodi, who lives next door and takes care of the apartment, is very relaxed guy and can help you with everything (Snorkeling Tour, a nice Dinner or where to do your groceries) We would love to come back one day!

( very few places on the island for this price have hot water) With a ceiling fan, big windows , lovely breeze and a covered porch, the studio is always a nice temperature even on a hot day, some people would say even a little cool. A wonderful outdoor patio overlooking our garden and the ocean with hammock and chairs is a great way to spend a morning drinking coffee and enjoying the peace and quiet. The central location of this home means you can walk the peaceful village paths to a variety of beaches, restaurants and shops within 10 to 15 minutes. There is a double water filter system which means you can drink the water from the taps in the house. Little Corn Island has electricity from approximately 1pm to 6am, the stove runs on propane so you can make your morning coffee. Due to no electricity in the morning the water flow can be low so we provide an outdoor shower as well as a filtered 5 gallon water system for drinking and cooking during these times. Due to the high cost of wifi and its maintenance we do not have wifi. We do get cell phone service if you have your phone.
The apartment is situation on a hill overlooking the ocean and is a 10 to 15 minute walk from a variety of beaches, restaurants and shops.
  • We enjoyed our stay here! It's a little further away than other places, but it's quiet. If you like feeling like you have the place to yourself it's a great place to stay. It was also nice having a kitchen to cook in. They were very helpful for anything we needed.

  • Marissa was really nice and the house is on a quiet location, close to the strip and 15 minutes walking to the north part of the Island. The appartment was clean and has everything you need. There is a book available with information about the Island/ restaurants and beaches which is very usefull.

You'll love my place because of its exuberant nature, our cuisine, the cozy space that we have created, the views and location. My accommodation is good for couples, adventurers and families (with children).
This house has 3 bedrooms and two floors. It is made of cement and wood. It has got a kitchen and a private bathroom. It is very artistic but rustic. It is within our beautiful tropical gardens, 1 minute from the most beautiful beach.
If you would need a taxi boat to pick you up at little island Dock And Bring you here, captain Daniel does this service for 8$ per person. Otherwise, there is a 20-25 minutes walk through our beautiful tropical forest to reach ensueños from town. If you come in the evening panga, with some heavy luggage, a little taxi panga is a confortable option while getting dark. Forest is safe and quite.
  • This place was beautiful! We stayed in the woula house and it was amazing! Ramon and his wife were super sweet and attentive. loved my stay here!

  • We have never stayed in a place like this before and will probably never find one alike. It is not so easy, to integrate buildings into nature but what one finds at Ensuenos is pretty good. Every house and every cabana has its own design, ideas and nice little details leaving not two resembling each other. Sometimes this leaves the human to adapt to this but it's part of the philosophy of the place I think. The cabanas group loosely around the restaurant and open fire self-catering kitchen, houses are a little bit more remote (and equipped with their own kitchens). Everything is huddled in an more or less open forest with palm trees and bananas. The closer you get to the beach the greener the floor gets and directly at the waterfront there are benches, hammocks and a big table facing the ocean. What can anybody expect more from life? It is not, however, a 5 Star Beach Resort with clinical hygiene standards and I believe this is how the place is meant to be. If you want electricity, WiFi, AC or fans and you start screaming if there's a spider the size of a supper plate sitting next to your front door, you definitively should think twice before checking in. You neither won't find reggae party throughout the night, we sometimes went to bed as early as 8 p.m. If you can cope with showering (and sometimes using the toilet - depending on where exactly you are accomodated) below the stars - there's no better place to be. The tranquility, beauty and peace this place has to offer to the visitor is abundant and it's not easy to find such a combination anywhere else. There's also very friendly and helpful staff and the owners - Judith and Ramon are full of hospitality, friendliness, helpfulness and one can easily spend some interesting hours in spontaneous, deep and earnest conversations arising from one simple question. There are some downsides, though. Days and nights can be very hot, especially in the houses which are too far away from the beach to catch the wonderful breeze there. One has to cope with not a too small range of animals sharing life with you at this wonderful place, which is not always easy and might be even dangerous sometimes. Ramon, the owner, is a big help finding solutions that usually meet needs of animal and man. Getting food is not the easiest part of the day, because there are no fridges and the village is some 20-30 min walk away (on the other hand: where do fishermen sell there freshly caught fish directly at the beach? So tasty!). If you use the firewood kitchen there have some minutes to be added before you have a good fire - annoying if you need the morning coffee desperately. We did enjoy our gas kitchen at casa woula. The high air humidity and frequent rains make it difficult to keep and get your things dry and...

  • Ensuenos is truly a dream for the off-the-track kind of traveller. Unplug, slow down, chill out and enjoy the vibe of peace, serenity and the natural world. Sound blissful? This is your place. Located at the north end of the island and away from it all, nestled in gorgeous natural palms, fruit trees, flowers and directly on the beach. Ra and Judy have created a magical rustic retreat filled with colorful natural art & sculpture. Cook in the outdoor kitchen on a wood fire as turkeys and chickens free roam around you or order ahead for lunch and dinner prepared by 2 wonderful local chefs. Laze the day away in one of the several bright fabric beachside hammocks or play on the butterfly swing staring at the clear blue Caribbean Sea. Take a walk through the grounds and allow some time to discover, absorb & appreciate the artful, harmonic construction of all the structures. Bungalows and Casa's have small solar lights, but no outlets and there is no wifi (sounds perfect to me). Wifi and a charge are available with a purchase at the high end resort a short walk up the beach. Town is a solid 25 min walk but very doable. Candlelight is the name of the game and there are no lights on the paths on this end of the island so definitely bring a flashlight for after dark. You will meet some other travelers here and enjoy some good company and conversations, but this is NOT a party spot (sigh of relief). I will be back. Hopefully sooner than later. Truly one of the top places I have ever had the privilege of staying.

  • This is an amazing place, beautiful beach, great vibe - very relaxed and peaceful. Don't come here if you want luxury and cocktail umbrellas. Do come here if you love nature, peace and a really great beach!

  • We enjoyed our week at Ramon's garden of dreams. Funnest places to stay, best beach and reef on little corn. This is not a resort, it's a piece of art. I will stay there again. Dean

  • From the moment I got off the boat on little corn, the location is perfect close to everything. Every staff member that I came in contact with was very helpful and always smiling! Great addition to Little Corn. I can't wait to come back!

  • This is a great spot for travel to Little Corn. I debated for a whole as to whether I would need SC and I was definitely glad I had it available to me. Sunshine is definitely worth considering if you want to ensure a quality sleep to take advantage of what Little Corn offer's during the day.

    Sean2017-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Sunshine is probably one of the nicest places you can stay on the island for the price. They offer wifi all day, air conditioning, and free breakfast. However when we went the wifi didn't work the whole time we were there, which resulted in us having to go to town most of the day. We were also expecting air conditioning and power to be all day. But unfortunately that was another problem when we arrived and not even the power was working to use the fan until the towns power turned on at 1pm. Which was 3/4 hours after we check in and it's way too hot to sit in the room. I've stayed at a lot of places on the island and it's a very nice place compared to others just unfortunate the day we went things were not working.

  • Ended up not staying here due to some complications with our trip. Essentially, we booked Sunshine Hotel for three nights to start our tour of Nicaragua. However due to high winds the boat from Big to Little Corn wasn't running. We were unsure what to do as we were really looking forward to our stay on Little Corn. Throughout the process Lisa from Sunshine Hotel was really helpful and communicative, providing us with as much information as possible. We had the opportunity to take a boat the following day but due to uncertainties had already booked an alternative hotel on Big Corn for the duration of our stay in the Corn Islands. We wish to thank Lisa for her prompt and helpful service and will be re-venturing to Corn Islands one day in order to finally stay in the Sunshine Hotel!

Relax. Release. Renew. Getaway to your slice of paradise. Envision your stay on a uniquely laid back island without cars - the perfect location that offers uninterrupted relaxation on white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, unbeatable scenery, and delicious Caribbean cuisine. Throw in a hammock, and some benches from where to watch unforgettable sunsets...a formula for Paradise.
Private quarters but easily accessible to "center" of island activities (a 10-minute walk). Cabins are located on five acres of private property that boasts a herbal garden, seasonal fruits, as well as some native food staples. A small but functional kitchenette, as well as a compact refrigerator is available for budget conscious guests.
Cabins are located about 10 minutes from the wharf. Generally, unless you are going to our property, or one of the neighboring properties, there is not much foot traffic. Our neighbors are for the most part very quiet so that you may luxuriate in the sounds of nature.

  • Fantastic, large, rustic house in djunglelike garden. Close to the village centre, yet calm and secluded, we found it at great place to stay. Never more than 5-15 min walk at night to/from restaurants and bars and during daytime close to several nice beaches We were greeted by Kelvin, a cool guy who lived nearby and he helped us whenever necessary, ie refilling water tank, showing us how to prepare that strange, spiky fruit from the trees in the garden that kept falling down at night :) We had a great stay at Little Corn, a very special island, with a friendly atmosphere, where everybody seemed to know everybody, even us! :)

  • We stayed at Yaneya's place on Little Corn for one week over Christmas 2016 and liked it a lot. There are various kinds of accommodation on Little Corn, anything from beach cabins with shared bathrooms to full houses. Yaneya's place (called Andrea's place on the island) is at the top end of what you can get (which justifies the higher price). It is very spacious with two levels. There are two bedrooms with a shared bath on the top level and a living room, a huge kitchen, and another bath at the lower level. There are large porches/balconies with space for hammocks and there is a garden. The rooms have nice wooden floors, the kitchen has a big stove and is well-equipped. The house was very clean (for island standards) and generally in good shape - working stove, fridge, showers, toilets, and a water-proof roof (important ...). The beds are ok. Before we arrived, there had been no guests at the house for many months during the rainy season and the owners had not been there for quite a while. As a consequence, the humid climate had taken its toll: there was rust on everything that can rust, there were only two towels left that could still be used. We left four more behind when we left. Before we arrived, Yaneya answered to all our questions with only short delay. Once on the island, guests interact mostly with Kalvin, the caretaker of the house, who is very nice and helpful with everything. The location of the house is close to the small village with the harbour, good restaurants and small shops. It is still far enough away from bars etc. to avoid the noise. The nicest beaches of the island are on the opposite (northern) end, requiring 30-40 min walk on a muddy path. The close beaches on the eastern and southern end have lost sand in recent years and are, unfortunately, quite littered. There is no place on the island that is close to all, restaurants/shops and the best beaches, there is always a choice involved. Other things worth knowing: * All food must be stored either in the fridge or in the oven. Since the house is open to nature, otherwise mice/rats will take advantage. * Bring matches to light the stove when electricity is down (~ 5am - 1pm). * Bring torches, rain protection (we had a lot of rain in December), mosquito repellent (we had a few, mostly in the evening), shoes for muddy island paths, and a good book for rainy days. * When we stayed, there was a crocodile on the island that came across from the mainland during a hurricane. We never saw it, but other people did, and it was the talk f the island. There were/are recurrent attempts to catch the crocodile, so far without success, but should be successful, eventually.

This is really the only beach house on this side of the island that is actually a real usa / canadian standard built house, just like you would find at home with double walls, ceramic floors, glass windows that open, water purifier etc. , all other places you will find are very basic shacks, just so you know. included are: towels, beach towels, clean bed sheets, shampoo, soap, snorkel gear, padel board, baseball gloves (with baseball and softball), paddle ball, books, coffee maker toaster etc, movie projector + 4' x 7' pull down screen (just bring your own movies on lap top) juggle equipment like devil stick, staff, poi balls, juggle balls, hoop etc.
The house is on the breezy side of the island which keeps you fresh (like natural air conditioning) there is a great restaurant a few blocks away called LITTLE CORN BEACH AND BUNGALOW also some great places to eat in the villiage
  • Truly loved our stay at Nick's place. With the sea in all its magnificent shades of blue at our doorstep, combined with every comfort, I can't imagine a more perfect place. Loved preparing our own meals and heading a few meters down the coast for one of the best meals we ever had at little corn beach and bungalow. Bruce was such a help with ironing out panga issues and any other questions we had. Basically lived with the doors open and never felt unsafe. I highly recommend a stay in this magical place.
