Places to stay in Linlithgow
My flat is only a few steps from Linlithgow Loch and 5 minutes away from the Palace. I share my home with two curious and friendly indoor cats called Ginny and Felix and I also have a lovely lady lodger, who is also friendly. I work locally so I am usually on hand if required and I am always happy to help make your stay enjoyable.
The flat is on two levels, a maisonette. The decor throughout is bright and modern. The bedroom is compact and has a small double bed (4 foot) which will fit two people snugly. A welcome tray with a small kettle and tea/coffee making supplies is in the room in case you fancy a late night or early morning cuppa but you are welcome to make full use of the kitchen during your stay. There is a selection of guide books in the bedroom for places of interest which you are welcome to use. There is a shared shower room in the flat. A washing machine is available for use on request. I provide a light breakfast of cereals, fruit and bread for toast along with tea, coffee and orange juice.
The flat is situated in the heart of Linlithgow next to Linlithgow Loch and there are many pubs, restaurants and quirky shops on the doorstep The flat is 5 minutes walk from the train station and there is a bus stop right across from the main entrance. There is also off street parking and a residents car park.

• A great central location, where one can forget the car and use either the bus or the train to go into Edinburgh. Good host and ample breakfast supplied each morning.

Graham2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
• Marion’s place is located in an excellent area right on the Main Street of Linlithgow, only a 10 minute walk to the train station. Her home is beautiful and the cats are a great, friendly addition ! We had some troubles with the train (arriving later then planned) but Marion was very helpful and understanding, allowing us to check-in as soon as we arrived. As soon as we arrived Marion made us feel right at home, greeting us at the door and providing us with any information we might need. The breakfast in the morning was also a great addition. I’d highly recommend Marion’s place to anyone visiting Linlithgow.

• Best Experience Ever had with Airbnb. Thank You.

Alireza2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
• One of the best airbnb experiences that we had: A sense of home , near a beautiful loch, for cat lovers, absolutely value for money: Overall, a remarkable experience, highly recommended by all means!! First of all, the convenient location: Marion's place is about 6 mins from Linlithgow' s train station, in front of the wonderful lake of Linlithgow Palace, which is literally at your feet! Then, the place: Marion's lovely flat is cosy and bright, and decorated so nice, with all these nice small details that makes you feel that you're home! The room although tiny, was very nicely decorated, fully equipped, with thoughtful touches , like a TV and books, as well as there was a drawer, which had literally everything, from another pair of linen to first aids kit !! The self-serviced breakfast was great, full, and of very good quality! Above all, what makes this place so unique and remarkable is Marion's personality, as she is a lovely, warm and so attentive to every detail hostess, which made us believe that she is a natural ; many houses may be beautiful and in nice locations, but at the end, what really matters, is little details that make the difference: the thoughtful touches, the attentiveness and the warmth of the host's personality, which transforms a simple staying to a memorable, unique experience! Last but not least, we fell in love with Ginny and Felix from the first moment, and we enjoyed playing with them, a lot ! Overall, an amazing experience, thank you so much Marion for hosting us, we looking forward to come and stay again!!

I've lived in the beautiful town of Linlithgow for 28 years. It's on the 'Outlander Trail' and is close to Edinburgh, Falkirk, Glasgow and Stirling. My house is a 5 minute walk to the train station and the High Street where you'll find Linlithgow Palace, the Loch, shops, restaurants, cafes, and tourist information. The John Muir Way is a mile away, the M9 motorway is close by and the airport is just a 20 minute drive. The house is uphill, bright and has lovely views of the town and countryside.
This small double room is light and fresh, and has been recently decorated. There is a double bed, a set of drawers, a bedside table and a large built-in wardrobe. The shared bathroom is next to the bedroom. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi, internet and continental breakfast are included in the price.
My house is in a very quiet residential area and has a wonderful view of Linlithgow Loch, the Palace and surrounding hills. Just down the road are the canal and towpath which connect Edinburgh and Glasgow. Only a few minutes' walk away are the train station, the High Street, the Loch, and Linlithgow Palace where Mary Queen of Scots was born. Local amenities include a tourist centre, three supermarkets and a variety of small shops, two pharmacies, a library, post office, various cafés, pubs and restaurants. Linlithgow is a popular tourist destination and is on the 'Outlander Trail' which will interest all lovers of the Outlander TV series! The town is close to Edinburgh Airport, and is a great place for walking, cycling and other outdoor pursuits. The canal towpath goes all the way from Edinburgh to Glasgow, through Falkirk. Beecraigs Country Park is a short distance away, and Muiravonside Country Park is also close by. During the summer there is a weekly country dancing evening at the Palace, called the Scotch Hop, which is great fun whether you can dance or not! And for music festival lovers Party At The Palace is held during August. Falkirk is 8 miles away and is home to the fabulous Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel. The pretty riverside town of South Queensferry is also very nearby, where you will find cafes, restaurants, shops, the marina and the Forth bridges.

• A wonderful welcoming host. Apartment sparkling clean. Well equipped modern kitchen. Super, convenient location, 2 minutes from train station to Edinburgh. Close to major grocery store, great restaurants, walk/ running route around the nearby park/loch.

Rose2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
• The apartment is one the first floor opposite Tesco in Linlithgow. The apartment is light, comfortable and sufficiently spacious for a couple. We found the location very good indeed for amenities and for the main road to access other places. Entry was via a keybox outside the door of the apartment which was convenient. There was sufficient space to park my large car although this involved reversing around a corner where other cars are parked which involves a degree of concentration in the dark! The kitchen facilities are good and the bed is comfortable. The only negative was the shower was very basic: the power is very weak and the temperature erratic. I would certainly consider staying there again if we were exploring further in the area.

This is a quiet area which, although in the town boundary, feels like it is in the countryside. The garden has views of fields and the Ochil Hills in the distance. Guests are welcome to sit on the patio and take in the sun when it shines. Linlithgow Palace is famous as the birthplace of Mary, Queen of Scots and more recently as a film set for the popular TV series 'Outlander'. • the house of moira and ian is located not too far from the center of linlithgow, the station is easily reachable on foot in about 10 minutes, there is also a supermarket nearby. owners very kind and always available to solve any problem, we felt at home, we also had dinner together, a great typical Scottish dinner. in addition to the well-kept room there is also a private bathroom, a small private kitchen and a truly delightful room, where we dined and lit the fireplace every night watching TV. jinx, their cat is super cute. we couldn't have asked for anything better for our stay in scotland, thanks again for everything. if you want to visit the surroundings of edinburgh and glasgow comfortably by train as we did, I recommend this beautiful house.

• Moira and Ian were exceptional hosts and made me very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. I really liked their home, which they have tastefully and lovingly renovated, and I loved their shy cat. Thank you Moira and Ian!

Jacqueline2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
• Our very first Airbnb booking and what a brilliant choice it proved to be. Firstly our hosts Moira and Iain were so welcoming and it really did feel like a ‘home from home’. Very easy going folk with tremendous local knowledge of places to visit. We really enjoyed their company and chats. The accommodation is brilliant. A lovely bedroom with a very comfy bed and tea and coffee making facilities. Your own private lounge with a couple of comfy sofas and a big tv to watch. Lots of books and leaflets too. Your own little kitchen area that has a hob, microwave, fridge and private cupboard space for your food, should you decide to eat in. Plus all the necessary cutlery, plates, pans etc. Moira’s instructions for finding Edenholm are very easy to follow as Google maps will take you a little closer to town. Not far away but not exactly correct. So please read her messages and you can’t go wrong. Edenholm is a 15 - 20 minute walk to Linlithgow station and the town. If you don’t feel like the walk, there are frequent buses that run on that road. Lots of trains to Edinburgh, Stirling and of course Edinburgh. This makes it a great place to base yourself but you should also check out the local town. Linlithgow Palace is a must see and within 10 - 30 miles there are loads of other ‘must see’ attractions like Blackness Castle, Beecraigs Country Park, Culross, the Forth bridge (we thought the best viewpoint was North Queensferry) etc. We will definitely return at some point and Edenholm will be our preferred choice.

I recommend staying, you will be pleasantly surprised when you arrive as the apartment actually looks better than in the photos shown

• My return visit to Elisabeth's apartment was just as good as my other visits. The flat was warm, cosy and very clean. It was an absolute pleasure to sit in the warm living room and look across the Firth of the Forth. I shall return again when work brings me to the area.

• Stylish lovely little apartment. Ideal for Edinburgh and Falkirk, Stirling etc. Quiet location even with being situated above one of the local bars.

Kenny2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
• The place is really nice with good views across the river. It had everything we needed for our stay and the host had good communication with us. There is supermarkets just a few minutes walk away and The Corbie Inn nearby is family friendly and serves good food. The flat was perfect for our needs to explore the local attractions at Falkirk which was only a 10 minute drive away.

This good sized 1 bedroom holiday let is located in the historic town of Linlithgow in West Lothian, Scotland. It is set back from the road, so is very quiet. The holiday let consists of a conservatory entrance way, living room with kitchen and separate good sized bedroom. There's off road parking for one (or two cars if discussed in advance). Guests have an outside table and chairs and barbeque. The price includes electricity, heating and Wi-Fi, as well as bedding and towels.
The living room has a stereo, a TV with freeview and DVD player. There are also a selection of reading books, local information, DVDs and games. The kitchen has a fridge with freezer compartment, a washing machine and oven, combination microwave and 4 ring hob. The conservatory has an extendable dining table that can be used in situ or moved into the living room. The separate bedroom has a double bed, plenty of space and storage in the large built in wardrobe and an ensuite shower room/WC.
The accommodation is ideally placed - part of a small row of cottages in the countryside on the outskirts of the town, but just a 15 minute walk to the town centre and train station. By train Edinburgh is just 20 mins away and Glasgow 35 mins, making the rental an ideal base for exploring Scotland. Linlithgow is a small historical town with many local restaurants and pubs. Linlithgow Palace is majestically situated in the centre of the town, beside 15th-century St Michael's Kirk, and overlooking the peel (park) and loch. The loch has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest thanks to its wildfowl population.

There's plenty of easy walking nearby such as a stroll (or bike ride) along the Edinburgh & Glasgow Union Canal (just 5 minutes from the holiday rental), or a walk at Beecraigs Country Park.

For golf enthusiasts there are many local courses. St Andrews and Gleneagles would also make a good day out.
• Jenny's place is comfortable, nicely decorated, clean, warm and quiet. It is self-contained and has private access. We felt no inhibition about coming and going as we pleased. It suited our purposes exactly. Jenny responds quickly and helpfully on Airbnb messaging. The WiFi works well. Linlithgow High Street and Tesco are only 5 mins away.

• If you are looking for accommodation close to the airport, staying with Peter is a good support. Indicated if you have a car, in a quiet village 15 minutes from the airport. There are a pub and supermarket within a few minutes walk. Suitable for those who need a bed to rest, without too many pretensions, being all basic but clean. Peter and his wife are kind and helpful and attentive to needs.

The Wee Upside Down House is a quirky 18th century townhouse located in the heart of the historic town of Linlithgow. A one minute walk to the beautiful loch and only 5 minutes walk to the Palace of Linlithgow and an array of shops, pubs and restaurants. 15 minute walk to the train station (Edinburgh 20 mins, Glasgow 30 mins). This lovely house is perfect for exploring the area and is fully equipped for 2 - 3 people.
The house is accessed through main front door on a quiet residential street with the bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor. Upstairs living space is open plan kitchen, living area with wooden floors. For maximum flexibility there is a double sofa bed in the living area. Kitchen is fully equipped. The house is a one minute walk to the Loch and 5 minutes to the famous Linlithgow Palace. Linlithgow sits in the middle of the Scottish lowlands within easy reach of both Edinburgh (20 minutes by train) and Glasgow (30 minutes by train), which makes it an ideal base for a longer visit. The town boasts strong connections to the Stuart Kings of Scotland and was the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots. It is also central to many Outlander locations, some of which are in the Royal Burgh itself.

• Michelle's place was very cute and super convenient by train to both Glasgow and Edinburgh. It was well stocked and close walking distance to the Castle and everything you need downtown. Would definitely stay again.

• Wonderful weekend away in this quaint and cosy house

Mark2019-10-27T00:00:00Z

• Great clean and stylish accommodation for a wonderful wee weekend away. Excellent location for trips to Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. Convenient for Edinburgh airport, motorway and good railway link to Edinburgh. Linlithgow is a great little town with good local facilities, palace and other closeby attractions. Would highly recommend for a couple.

Nick &Marie2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
• Michelle's was a lovely little home away from home. Fantastic location in Linlithgow just by the high street, a short walk away from the Palace (which has stunning views). The locals were very kind to us and our trip was the perfect escape - we enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks so much Michelle! We'd love to visit again :)

Florence2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
• Michelle's place offers wonderful accommodation at a sensible price. It is "wee", though more than adequate for a couple looking for a cosy getaway. Everything you need is provided, and Michelle is very quick to respond to communication meaning that if there were ever to be any queries you could be reassured that these would be resolved quickly. One of the main benefits is the location. In the centre of lovely Linlithgow which has all the basics, some lovely cafes and a beautiful loch for a morning jog, or to relax around reading a book. 20 minutes to Livingston for cinema or the designer shopping outlet. Also, no more that 20-30 mins from both Edinburgh and Glasgow - a cheap train journey away with trains every 30 mins or so. Why pay more to stay in the cities when you can have everything they offer with the tranquillity of a market town as well?

Martin2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
• This was our second stay at The Wee Upside Down House. It’s a wonderful place to stay. It’s clean and tidy, and lovely to relax in. Michelle is a superb host and replies to all messages very quickly and is very helpful. We’ll definitely be coming back to stay here in Linlithgow. Linlithgow is close to many attractions, and having a little hideaway to stay in is brilliant!

Martin2019-06-29T00:00:00Z
• I visited Edinburgh with my parents in June and Michelle’s place was an excellent base for us to explore the old town and surrounding areas (train / bus connections to Edinburgh are readily available). As a bonus, we got to explore Linlithgow as well.

A rural oasis in the centre of town. Two minutes walk to the train station. Private parking. Beautiful large bedroom with double bed and optional single Z-bed, en suite shower room. Detached, main door access. No cooking facilities. Two minutes walk to the High Street with great dining options. Professionally cleaned, wifi, nespresso, mini fridge, kettle. Bed linen and towels included. Great for star gazing, bat spotting and welly wearing. Great too for commuting to Scotland's cities.
Detached, newly built, rural aspect, plenty of parking, 2 minutes from train station and 2 minutes from the High Street, which has a range of eating and drinking options. Double bed and one optional folding single bed. Sofa, chest of drawers, hanging space, chairs and TV. Perfect for singles, couples and very small families. Cot available on request. This is one large open plan bedroom / sitting room with an en suite shower, basin and loo. Please see photos. There are outdoor wooden stairs to the front door. Linlithgow is a beautiful town full of heritage and outdoor activities, including Linlithgow Palace and surrounding loch, galleries, museum, canal and country park. It's well worth a weekend visit but also perfect for commuters travelling anywhere within the central belt, by road or train. The studio is a little oasis of rural isolation, there's plenty of small wildlife. Other than in the height of Summer the short but steep track can be dark and some areas are muddy. We love it as it offers the best of town and country living, but it might not suit high heel wearers! The studio has a lawn with picnic table and chairs directly outside. Please see photos.
Quiet, great access to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling. All amenities are within walking distance and of good quality. Animals on site. Property accessed under canal so restricted height access, please see photos. Great for fans of Outlander! Local tours available.
• Very cozy and comfortable studio in a small town with a fantastic castle in 10 minutes walking. There is everything you need in the studio except cooking devices (including microwave), so you won't be able to cook yourself there. But there's a lot of small cafes and pubs in town so it's not a big problem. Edinburgh is in 20 minutes by train or 40 minutes by bus. We really enjoyed staying here, highly recommended if you want to discover not only Edinburgh in Scotland.

Alex2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
• Very nice studio in a rural setting but two minutes away from the Rail station and also very close to pubs and restaurants. We stayed in studio during the Fringe festival in Edinburgh and by train we could be there in 20 minutes. We enjoyed so much opening the door in the morning seeing the hens and a couple of nice cats. We also appreciated the Nespresso machine! Thank you Joanne and Scott

Jackie's room is centrally located and very convenient for local bars and restaurants, the palace and the canal. The room was comfortable and quiet and has an attractive, clean en-suite bathroom. • The Outhouse ( Love the name) Nick and Kirsty have a beautiful small cottage there on their property, it’s very well kept and very clean. Both Nick and Kirsty were very gracious hosts, and were Johnny on the spot for any thing we might have needed. Located just down the road from a Linlithgow we were able to stop in and grocery shop and have a pint or two at a local pub. The location was also good for us in that we went site seeing in Edinburgh and Glasgow which was only a short drive either direction. When you stay with them make sure to visit the Helix and the Falkirk Wheel again both are local. Thanks again Nick and Kirsty for a great day We’re hoping to come by again one day. A beautiful cottage just outside Bo'ness, 20 mins drive from Edinburgh airport and 40 mins drive from Glasgow airport. There are 2 rooms in the cottage that are on airbnb, this is one of them. This room is in a part that is off the cottage so that is affords a wee bit more privacy. The cottage, on Antonines Wall, with stunning views of the Firth estuary and Fife. A peaceful country experience close to major cities Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh. 1.5 miles from Grangemouth.
The cottage was initially built at the beginning of the 20th century in the Edwardian period. The extension with extra rooms was built in the 1990's. The cottage is on the Antonines wall and is close to Kinneil House.
The cottage is an a nature reserve with stunning views of the Firth of the Forth to the right and the fire and steam of Grangemouth to the left (1.2miles away).
• This was a wonderful clean and warm place. I was so pleased that I was allowed to use the kitchen. Gaele's hospitality was outstanding, beyond what one might normally expect. Particularly, if you have a dog, this is the place to go! Dogs are not only welcome but Gaele genuinely loves and understands dogs and doggie people!

• Really enjoyed my stay, that was my first experience of an Airbnb so I didn’t really know what to expect. I thought it was really good and definitely would book again if I need to stay somewhere in that area. Host went above and beyond to help me as my phone broke and I had no contact to anyone so she lent me her tablet till I checked out, overall very helpful both the host and her boyfriend. Felt really homely :)

Shaun2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
• Angela was a great host - before checking in she sent really clear instructions on how to access the keys and the property. She sent over excellent recommendations of where to eat in Linlithgow, a lovely little town about 10 minutes from the property - the Four Mary's pub is a must for whisky lovers. The bed in the room was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was absolutely spotless. It was really conveient having a parking space also. Overall, excellent value and hospitality.

Compact warm and cosy house in a quiet residential area overlooking a small park. The house is simply furnished and incorporates a number of Scandinavian and local style details. There is a small garden where you can enjoy eating out in warmer weather. Easy access by rail and road to Edinburgh, Glasgow, and central and southern Scotland. 15 minutes drive to Edinburgh airport.
The house is in a quiet area of Linlithgow with a small children's play park close by. Linlithgow holds a central role in Scotland's history and is birthplace to Mary Queen of Scots. Linlithgow palace is the main tourist attraction locally. You can also take a stroll round Linlithgow Loch, home to numerous visiting wild fowl, and only 20 minutes walk from the house. Linlithgow has a busy High Street with many independent businesses along with numerous pubs and restaurants.
• Lovely one bed house tucked away on a quiet street a short walk from Linlithgow town centre. The property was immaculate and had some lovely stylish touches along with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Michael was an excellent host and maintained good contact throughout.

Adam2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
• Michael is a super host and makes sure everything is as it should be. The house is spotless and is very cosy. Everything that would be required is supplied along with little extra thoughtful touches. I was there at Christmas and Michael had even put some decorations up👍. Would definitely recommend.

Michael is a brilliant host and responds right away for any queries. Would have no hesitation in staying there again and am, in fact, going back in a few weeks. Highly recommend.

• Lovely, cosy little place. So close to the centre of Linlithgow

Ruth2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
• It is a lovely, very clean, quiet little house with everything one need! We made it home for 3 weeks and it was hard to leave. The linens are unscented . The bath is fully updated. Wood floors and no carpets are a plus. There are walking paths to town, around the loch, and out along the canal. With a 20 minute walk you can get to the train station to travel most of Scotland . You can also train in from the airport if you don't have a ton of luggage and don't mind the walk. We did not try the bus service but I believe it would fill in most of the transportation gaps if you don't want to rent a car. For car travel you can hop the train and be at the airport rental in about 20 mins. . Linlithgow is a very friendly town with much to explore. We spent much time just going on day trips for there is so much to see in that area. While you are there don't forget to go to the museum the library and the art displays at the Burgh Hall. Also have a meal at So Strawberry Caffe. All the food is very fresh and the GF cake is wonderful! Bo'ness on the firth is a mere 15 min drive and has so much to offer also.

Selection of shops just a short 10 minute walk away which made stocking up easy without having to drive too far. We had the perfect Airbnb experience and can't thank Amanda and her family enough.

• Lovely apartment with plenty of space and really comfortable, and Amanda was a great host. Would love to stay again.

Claire2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
• An amazing home with all you need. Close to everything. Walked most days into town. 15/20mins on train to Edinburgh and 30mins to Glasgow. The station is in the town. The home, town and grounds itself perfect for families catching up or romantic getaways. Special occasions or just because I would recommend Champany restaurant (I am a huge self proclaimed steak aficionado and since a young child it has been a favourite of mine) I had the fillet one of the best in the world and I have travelled all over. If you enjoy Indian cuisine which is also up there with my favourite foods Delhi’s winter was a winner in Linlithgow. Glenavon house very central to most places. All people in the area were friendly, kind and welcoming. I will be there again soon. Kudos to you and your lovely family Amanda for creating such a magical space.

• A great place to stay if you are a "History Buff" and or just visiting the Palace or the Bannockburn Centre or even chasing Outlander sites! The whole of the central belt is within a short train ride or drive! Also on the doorstep is the Linlithgow basin on the Union Canal. check out www.lucs.org.uk for details of their day boat hire and go for central Edinburgh or better still the Falkirk Wheel. BUT as my old Dad used to say about Argyll, "Please do not tell everyone about this place (Linlithgow) or they will all want to come here!"

• We came through from Edinburgh for a couple of days for a mini break in Linlithgow and Jenny's flat was perfect for our family of four. It was just a few minutes walk from the train station, but far enough way to be quiet - we could not hear any noise from the trains. The location right next to the canal is great for walks too. The flat itself was well looked after and well equipped (there is a Tesco just a few minutes away, on the other side of the train station, which was perfect for a quick shop and cooking dinner so we didn't have to rag the kids out to a restaurant in the evening). Finding some milk in the fridge, fresh fruit and some snacks for the kids was a lovely extra touch, as we could refuel after pour journey on arrival before going our to explore. Communication with Jenny was always very prompt, and check-in/check-out was easy. Jenny also kindly let us leave our heavy bag at the flat after check-up until our train home, so we didn't have to lug it around Linlithgow on our last morning. Would definitely recommend this place and host to stay with.

• Great location near the station but far enough from both the rail line and the main road to be nice and quiet. It was really nice to arrive to find milk in the fridge and some fresh fruit for us enjoy. The only downside was that the fire alarm was really sensitive and I set it off coming out of the shower...twice.

• This apartment is in a great location for the centre of Linlithgow. We went to a wedding and were able to walk in a few minutes. There’s a supermarket over the road and another at the other end of the town. The location is near a main road, so the access is great but there’s not much traffic and you can’t hear anything with the windows open. Easy parking right outside. Just up some steps and you’re in! The place is very clean and is well looked after. There was some fresh fruit, cereals and other bits available on arrival. A nice touch. Shower is good, the kitchen is well equipped and there’s everything you would need for a short or long stay. I got a warning from AirBNB that there’s no carbon monoxide detector, it’s fine because there’s no gas appliances. Everything is electric including the heating.

• A excellent location and a really nice apartment to boot. Comes with an assigned parking space & short walks to the train station, supermarket and restaurants/pubs. Well thought-out furniture and comfy beds. Kitchen is really well supplied and would be great for cooking during an extended stay. Linlithgow itself has a lot to explore. Recommend the apartment and the town.

• Unbeatable place with supermarket and train station 5 minutes walk.

Gustavo2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
• This was a perfect base to get in to Edinburgh, the train station being only a few minutes walk away. The flat was nice, clean and quiet with plenty of extras like jam, cereal etc supplied.

Private car park. Tea, coffee and simple breakfast items provided. (Please note: no tv or wifi)
• This was my second stay at Christine's and it was just as super as the first! Christine is the kindest host - she had put an extra heater on for me, knowing I was coming in late. Such a great studio flat and incredibly comfy bed. Would recommend without hesitation!

Charlotte2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
• Christine was one of the most kind host we met through Airbnb. She’s truly a good person. Our flight was really late and we finally arrived after midnight, when she knew we had a hard time with the airport, she waited us anyway for the check in and she prepared the Appartment so nicely we just had to lay in bed and sleep. We stayed only one night but for sure I recommend anyone to stay there for a longer time. It’s lovely, really clean, close to Edinburgh and perfect for a couple. Thanks again Christine.

Lucas2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
• Christine's flat is exactly as it says on the tin. Christine was flexible with check in when my plans changed as well as very friendly and helpful.

• Stayed at Marks place for a week in Feb 2020. Great place to reside everything you could want. Only downside sorry to say is that it’s on flight path and across from the Deer Park Bowling both of which can cause some limited noise but nothing major. Other than that for a short stay it’s perfect

Colin2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
• Very clean place and Mark is a super helpful and professional host.

• A very enjoyable 3 night stay was had at Mark's apartment. Lovely peaceful area with great travel options nearby. Everything went smoothly from being greeted by Mark to the thoughtful touches throughout, making it a real home from home. Would recommend as a great base for visiting Edinburgh and in our case the Designer Centre 11 minutes away

• Wonderful apartment, clean, comfortable, modern with all the amenities needed. Mark was a lovely host and even set up a Christmas tree for our stay over the festive season, which was a lovely touch. Great quiet location within walking distance to train station to Edinburgh or Glasgow. Free Parking infront of the apartment always had space for us. Highly recommended. Thanks again!

Warm, cosy, spacious apartment in historic Bo'ness, a few metres from the Hippodrome, Scotland's oldest public cinema. Great views to the Forth. The apartment is simply furnished with a number of retro and Scandi style features and offers very comfortable facilities for 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.
This is an exceptional apartment with a mix of Scandinavian and local style details. There are spectacular views across the Forth with walks along the shore to the Scottish Railway Museum and other Outlander locations like Blackness Castle. The local cinema is the oldest in Scotland and is well worth a visit for film fans.
Bo'ness is a small quiet town located on the southern shore of the Firth of Forth. It has undergone a period of redevelopment in recent years and the town centre is home to an increasing number of independent small businesses.
• Michael’s place in Bo’Ness is outstanding! It is clean, well-decorated, and beautifully located right on the water. Plus, the WiFi works very well, and the kitchen is wonderfully equipped for all of your cooking and baking needs. Michael is a great host, too - very accommodating and warm, with quick responses. A charming little town, and an even more charming apartment.

Rachel2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
• Michael offers a warm informative welcome, his apartment was sparkling clean and provided everything we needed for our stay. It is situated in a quiet historic area and offers quick access to the shore and old harbour for a very pleasant morning walk. Michael was very accommodating and helpful. Wonderful host.

Stuart2019-11-21T00:00:00Z
• Great flat and host - really practical for visiting this part of Scotland

Glyn2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
• We were in Bo'ness with our two kids for two months. Michael greeted us personally, was always available and very helpful. We did not have our own car with us and could take the community bus to Edinburgh and back. Bo'ness itself is very quiet and the apartment has direct views of the water. There is also a small nice walkway. We felt very comfortable.

Christian2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
• Magnificent apartment very well located, to visit Edinburgh, Stirling, Saint Andrews, Glasgow ... Host Michael is charming and always willing to make your stay more comfortable as well as a great guide. The apartment is very well equipped, we don't miss anything. Again, thank you very much Michael for everything! Carlos and Leticia

Leticia2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
• Comfortable apartment with a great view from the bedroom. Michael is an excellent host who welcomed us warmley. Bo’ness is a good base for exploring surrounding attractions. We had a great stay.

Verena2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
• Well located facing the sea, ideal for visiting Edinburgh, but also beautiful castles in the area. Cozy apartment in a peaceful little town. Michael is a very helpful host.

Jean-Francois2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
• We have used this apartment for a few days to discover this part of Scotland. It really is a great place for that. From the neighboring village of Linlithgow you can reach the heart of Edinburgh in 20 minutes by train. Cost for a return ticket is £ 8 pp A great ride. The trains run a few times per hour, you can easily stand on the platform without planning. In Bo'ness they have 2 supermarkets that you can walk to. Cooking in the apartment is easy to do. From the bedroom you look at Firth of Forth, towards the industry. Sounds crazy, but it has something beautiful. I would recommend the apartment if I was asked. Michael is a pleasant host. Fast and helpful. We felt welcome and quickly at home.
